- 0:03Speaker 2: Seven.
- 0:03Speaker 1: Jen WOI.

- 0:10Speaker 2: week at this time. You know you can follow her
- 0:12Speaker 2: on Twitter, great tweets and culture at Twitter, but even
- 0:16Speaker 2: better at substack is you can watch your videos and
- 0:18Speaker 2: her interviews and her podcasts and get her column Just
- 0:22Speaker 2: go to and culture dot substack dot com and culture.
- 0:26Speaker 1: How you doing fantastic? How are you, Mark Simone?
- 0:30Speaker 2: I'm good. We're just getting breaking news now that there's
- 0:32Speaker 2: been a shake up at MSNBC, the lineup changing.
- 0:36Speaker 1: Goodness. I hope you're bringing Joyanne Read back.
- 0:39Speaker 2: Well, I don't know, but Morning Shoe apparently is being
- 0:42Speaker 2: cut by an hour. It'll only be three hours instead
- 0:44Speaker 2: of four.
- 0:45Speaker 1: Uh.
- 0:46Speaker 2: I assume that comes with a pay cut as well.
- 0:50Speaker 1: Oh, I think they're doing fine. It's always been amazing
- 0:53Speaker 1: to me. Why I'm sorry is they're more breaking news
- 0:56Speaker 1: up about MSNBC.
- 0:58Speaker 2: Uh, Stephanie Rule will get an hour at nine am.
- 1:02Speaker 2: Uh nope, no, Joy Read she's not coming back.
- 1:05Speaker 1: Okay, Well, it doesn't interest me that I always found
- 1:10Speaker 1: it weird. No, Mika and Joe, I'm sure are doing fine.
- 1:15Speaker 1: I don't have to look up their salaries. But the
- 1:18Speaker 1: strange thing is these cable and regular TV they pay
- 1:22Speaker 1: hosts just astronomical salaries while sort of chinching chintzing on
- 1:28Speaker 1: everybody else. The producers, the bookers, the writers that make
- 1:33Speaker 1: up people know that they're they're they're minimum wage workers.
- 1:38Speaker 1: When most most every single host on TV would pay
- 1:42Speaker 1: to have that job. You don't have to pay them
- 1:45Speaker 1: at all. The millions of dollars make them pay.
- 1:51Speaker 2: Well, that's true, Like you want to see real income
- 1:54Speaker 2: inequality a TV show, Colbert twelve million a year, everybody
- 1:58Speaker 2: else a dollar fifty. I mean, it's just ridiculous, right.
- 2:01Speaker 1: And I mean there are so many You get so
- 2:04Speaker 1: much money from being the host of these shows for
- 2:08Speaker 1: speeches and crascos, written books, and most of them don't
- 2:15Speaker 1: care what they're saying and they just want to be
- 2:17Speaker 1: on TV.
- 2:18Speaker 2: Yeah, but can you call it ms now? I still
- 2:22Speaker 2: call it MSNBC. I can't get that out of my mouth.
- 2:25Speaker 2: Ms now. It just doesn't come out.
- 2:27Speaker 1: No, I know MSNBC is a much better laugh line.
- 2:30Speaker 1: I think.
- 2:32Speaker 2: So, Hey, the Save America Act for Chuck Schumer and Blumenthal,
- 2:39Speaker 2: these guys to say it's suppression minority voters they don't
- 2:44Speaker 2: have they can't get a photo idea. Is that the
- 2:46Speaker 2: most racist thing any Democrats ever said?
- 2:49Speaker 1: Yes, yes, well, yes it is one of my friends.
- 2:56Speaker 1: His name eludes me right now, but you used to
- 2:57Speaker 1: see his videos all over as this argument, this is
- 3:01Speaker 1: a consistent argument of the left. If we stop voter fraud,
- 3:07Speaker 1: we won't be able. Minorities can't can't vote. So anyway,
- 3:12Speaker 1: my friend went up to you know, various black neighborhoods,
- 3:16Speaker 1: and who's just stopping interviewing black people on the street,
- 3:19Speaker 1: asking them, hey, do you have an id? Yes, I
- 3:25Speaker 1: pull it out. If you didn't have an idea, I
- 3:27Speaker 1: d would you know where to get one? Right over there?
- 3:33Speaker 1: And he asked them, do you think it's a racist
- 3:35Speaker 1: to say this? Yes? Yes, as a matter of fact,
- 3:38Speaker 1: they did, Mark simone, But this is this is such
- 3:42Speaker 1: I mean, it seems just to a normal person forget
- 3:47Speaker 1: forget partisanship. Isn't it strange that that the Democrats are
- 3:53Speaker 1: so committed to giving felons the right to vote. That's
- 3:57Speaker 1: a part of to vote in this country since you know,
- 4:02Speaker 1: colonial days for obvious reasons, do we need to explain
- 4:07Speaker 1: that Democrat? And moreover, I was noticing recently. I don't
- 4:12Speaker 1: know why Republicans are defensive about this, this hysteria from
- 4:17Speaker 1: the Democrats on a rumor. Who knows if it's true.
- 4:22Speaker 1: I hope it's true that they were going to be
- 4:24Speaker 1: sending immigration agents to polling places. Yeah, why not? Why
- 4:32Speaker 1: is that a bad thing? So you want to ensure
- 4:36Speaker 1: that your illegals can can vote illegally without without being questioned.
- 4:42Speaker 2: Yeah, I would put a picture of Tom Holman right
- 4:44Speaker 2: at the entrance of every polling place.
- 4:47Speaker 1: And I know, I mean, I'm serious. I mean I
- 4:50Speaker 1: hope they do it.
- 4:51Speaker 2: Yeah. Absolutely, But aren't they kind of admitting there is
- 4:54Speaker 2: some voter fraud if they won't pass the Save Act?
- 4:58Speaker 1: Yes, yes, s yes, speaking of it's not going to
- 5:03Speaker 1: be that hard to They act like it's just I mean,
- 5:07Speaker 1: I think it is true, and I think I have
- 5:08Speaker 1: a birth certificate, But okay, you don't have. Everybody has
- 5:14Speaker 1: some form of bodies.
- 5:15Speaker 2: Do you have a driver's license? Don't you?
- 5:18Speaker 1: I do?
- 5:19Speaker 2: Well, that's all you should need a driver's license, a
- 5:21Speaker 2: real one.
- 5:22Speaker 1: And there you also all these states allow allow all
- 5:26Speaker 1: kinds of But there are some people who don't drive.
- 5:28Speaker 1: But there are other ways to identify yourself. It's not
- 5:32Speaker 1: it's really not that hard.
- 5:35Speaker 2: And you can't get into any office Billy in Manhattan.
- 5:37Speaker 2: You can't go to MSNBC without a photo ID. So uh, obviously, to.
- 5:43Speaker 1: Say nothing of flying where it's actually quite absurd that
- 5:47Speaker 1: this is what I you know, most resent and terrorists
- 5:52Speaker 1: for destroying destroying commercial airflight in America where t s
- 5:57Speaker 1: A and test after test, half test. Now they're refusing
- 6:01Speaker 1: to release their tests. Eighty percent of fake weapons get
- 6:04Speaker 1: through TSA. Asians really but yeah, ye, they've been doing
- 6:08Speaker 1: this for years. Eighty is ridiculous. They stop nothing. And
- 6:17Speaker 1: the other I think crucial fact about why we don't
- 6:20Speaker 1: need the TSA. This is just stealing multiple tens of
- 6:24Speaker 1: millions of man hours where Americans could be working. You know,
- 6:27Speaker 1: we used to be a country on the go. Now
- 6:30Speaker 1: it's it's just bureaucrats slowing everything down, allowing nothing to
- 6:37Speaker 1: move forward. That's why some of my friends from Silicon
- 6:41Speaker 1: Valley have said that Silicon Valley was so productive that
- 6:44Speaker 1: Congress didn't understand what they were doing, so they didn't
- 6:48Speaker 1: put any regulation in. But the other reason we don't
- 6:52Speaker 1: we want of the many reasons we don't need TSA
- 6:54Speaker 1: at all. Is I could be off by a point
- 6:58Speaker 1: or two, but something like eighty eight percent of flyers
- 7:02Speaker 1: on a daily basis belong to some frequent flyer program. Yeah,
- 7:07Speaker 1: so the airlines know who they are. They've been flying
- 7:10Speaker 1: with them for years. Let the airlines do it. They
- 7:15Speaker 1: don't want their planes going down, and there hasn't you
- 7:19Speaker 1: can only pull okay. Third reason is nine to eleven
- 7:22Speaker 1: was a sucker punch. You could you only fall for
- 7:24Speaker 1: that once. I mean they couldn't even get the fourth
- 7:27Speaker 1: plane to accomplish its objective because once people know that's
- 7:33Speaker 1: what the trick is, and you're not going to say
- 7:35Speaker 1: fly us to Cuba or you know, demand money and
- 7:38Speaker 1: a getaway car. Nothing like that had ever happened before.
- 7:41Speaker 1: Now that we know what can happen, you would have
- 7:44Speaker 1: to have a majority the plane be terrorists, and I
- 7:47Speaker 1: think people would notice absolutely.
- 7:50Speaker 2: Yeah, No, it's just crazy. Hey, would you agree this
- 7:52Speaker 2: is the most useless Congress we have ever seen, both
- 7:56Speaker 2: sides of the aisle, just one useless character after another.
- 8:00Speaker 1: Yes, yes, yes. The one thing I will say in
- 8:05Speaker 1: defense of Republicans is not John food. But it is
- 8:13Speaker 1: hard to get to get things through when you have
- 8:15Speaker 1: such a narrow majority on the month. My motto is
- 8:19Speaker 1: there are a lot of a lot of bad Republicans,
- 8:21Speaker 1: there are no good Democrats, so you know you're always
- 8:24Speaker 1: going to have that narrow majority. Just means it's very
- 8:28Speaker 1: hard to get to get anything through, which is why
- 8:31Speaker 1: we really, I mean, the entire Republican Party should be
- 8:34Speaker 1: focused like a laser beam, not only on the Save Act.
- 8:37Speaker 1: I mean that's only part of it. Something I've mentioned
- 8:39Speaker 1: to you before and I will mention again. Red states
- 8:42Speaker 1: are owed at least a dozen extra in in red
- 8:48Speaker 1: areas congressional seats because of mistakes in the census that
- 8:52Speaker 1: were discovered during the Biden administration. Every year after the
- 8:57Speaker 1: or every census year after the census is taked, the
- 9:01Speaker 1: census then goes through and checks to see, you know,
- 9:04Speaker 1: how accurate it was. Well, the twenty twenty census was
- 9:10Speaker 1: highly inaccurate, and all these Blue states were given congressional
- 9:14Speaker 1: seats that they should not have based on the Senate
- 9:18Speaker 1: and Red states were deprived of how seats they should
- 9:21Speaker 1: have based on the faulty census. I don't know why
- 9:25Speaker 1: why the governors of Red states aren't suing to demand
- 9:28Speaker 1: their extra congressional seats.
- 9:30Speaker 2: Very good point. You got to do. That should be
- 9:32Speaker 2: a column that should be pushed by everybody.
- 9:35Speaker 1: I know I keep prattling about it but never going
- 9:38Speaker 1: down and writing about it. But I mean, whatever the
- 9:40Speaker 1: law is for correcting this, boy, talk about talk about democracy,
- 9:46Speaker 1: caring about democracy. This is how democracy is supposed to work.
- 9:50Speaker 1: You're the number of House seats is based on population
- 9:54Speaker 1: of the state. And if the populations of the state
- 9:57Speaker 1: or left. There were I think about eight states on
- 10:00Speaker 1: each side either got too many seat seats in the
- 10:03Speaker 1: House or got too few seats in the House. And
- 10:05Speaker 1: of the I don't know eight or ten on the
- 10:08Speaker 1: ones who were deprived of seats all but one were
- 10:12Speaker 1: red stacks.
- 10:13Speaker 2: Wow.
- 10:13Speaker 1: And the states they got extra seats all but one
- 10:16Speaker 1: were Democrats states.
- 10:17Speaker 2: All right, Well, let's get on this and take care
- 10:19Speaker 2: of the and Culter great stuff. Make sure you follow
