- 0:00This entire military is 1 per piece of dedicated force.
- 0:05And the threats to our nations, they don't sleep.
- 0:08They're watching our every move. Iran, Russia, China, North
- 0:14Korea, ISIS, Al Qaeda, they may be watching this right now.
- 0:19Our military should not be mistaken for our cable news gap
- 0:25test show. We don't care what you look
- 0:27like. We don't care who you voted for,
- 0:30who you worship, what you worship.
- 0:32Who you love? It doesn't matter if your dad
- 0:35left you millions when he died or if you knew who your father
- 0:38was. You have this quality over the
- 0:42machine of the evil moving parts that you would be wise to a
- 0:46horse if you want to stick to you.
- 0:48We will not be intimidated. We will not back down.
- 0:55We don't want. War.
- 0:57But if you want war in the United States of America,
- 0:59there's one thing I can promise you.
- 1:00So help me God, someone else will raise his friends and.
- 1:10God, Military broadcast radio, the station that's giving
- 1:14veterans a voice. Find us.
- 1:16On the web at MB radio dot. Opinions expressed in this
- 1:21program are those of the speakers and do not necessarily
- 1:26reflect the views or positions of any entities they represent.
- 1:30Welcome to Veteran Talk with Magic Mike, where what's
- 1:33important to you is important to us.
- 1:37Let's talk. I'm your host, Magic Mike, and
- 1:40today we're diving deep into something close to my heart, how
- 1:44sharing your story and getting behind the mic can be a powerful
- 1:48form of rehabilitation, whether you're fresh out of service
- 1:51years into civilian life. 20 years it's been 20 years since
- 1:54we saw each other in Iraq and he.
- 1:56Looks older and. Personal.
- 1:57Now, we're not all poets or motivational speakers, but you'd
- 2:00be amazed at how therapeutic it can be just to talk.
- 2:04One thing I've learned is that every story has value.
- 2:07Doesn't matter if you were on the front lines or behind a
- 2:10desk. Your experience is worth sharing
- 2:13and trust me, somebody out there needs to hear it.
- 2:16Broadcasting gives us a way to say, hey, this is who I am and
- 2:20this is what I've been through. It bridges gaps, builds
- 2:23community and creates new purpose.
- 2:31Yeah, background noise. Now 8 string, we got background
- 2:36noise. What's going on, man?
- 2:408 string. I made us.
- 2:41I made a Boo Boo. I made a Boo Boo.
- 2:43And he's all jacked up, man. This is what happens when you
- 2:45drink and drive like he's. No this.
- 2:48Is fucking the veterans talk on MBR?
- 2:50Radio happens when you motivate me to play with the mixer with
- 2:54the FXS and stuff. Just to give you guys an idea,
- 2:57walking up Veterans talk with DJ Magic Mike and H Train.
- 3:00As you guys know, we were battle buddies in Iraq, but before
- 3:03before we jumped on air. I have a new mixer and I started
- 3:06messing with the mixer and and the different sounds and stuff.
- 3:09And H Train was like, yeah, I like that.
- 3:10Let me, let me. So he started messing with his
- 3:12and now we got all jacked. But anyways, listen, it's been a
- 3:15couple weeks. We haven't been on the air.
- 3:16A lot of things going on, not just in the world, but in our
- 3:19own lives. And I want to apologize.
- 3:20We, you know, took a couple radio days.
- 3:23First and foremost, a happy belated birthday to H Train.
- 3:26He turned 40 plus years old. This guy's closer to 50 than
- 3:34anybody. Anyways, happy birthday to to H
- 3:37Train. Awesome, awesome, awesome man.
- 3:40You're you're climbing up there just like everybody.
- 3:42Thank you for joining our show. A big shout out to Frontier
- 3:44coffee shop in Granite Quarry, NC.
- 3:48All the guys out there. Troy is on vacation, so we
- 3:51haven't seen him, but all the guys out there, Frontier coffee
- 3:54shopping gals, just amazing group of people.
- 3:57They came up, stepped up to the plate when somebody needed some
- 4:00help. So there was a bunch of veterans
- 4:01that need a white T-shirts or like in a kind of like a
- 4:03veteran's home, if you will, like Hospice care and they need
- 4:06a white T-shirts. Man, We raised 1200 freaking
- 4:08dollars in in in a matter of 10 minutes, man, to buy T-shirts
- 4:11for them. It was pretty, pretty awesome.
- 4:14So big shout out to my brother who had surgery today.
- 4:16He's doing fine. Everything's good with him.
- 4:18That's awesome. He's the old geezer too.
- 4:22But yeah, we got, we got a good show to you for you today.
- 4:24And we got a lot going on. You know, there's a, there's a
- 4:27lot, man, lot going on. You know, whether whether you're
- 4:30Republican or Democrat, man, you got to you got to know that
- 4:32there's a lot going on in our world today.
- 4:34And even though our world's close in uncertainty, you know,
- 4:37we, we still are Americans and we love this country.
- 4:40You know, that's why we served it.
- 4:41But hello to all my veterans out there.
- 4:43Viewers, you can call into the show as well.
- 4:46Watch us on Roku television. We're on all kinds of platforms,
- 4:50media platforms, Blackhawk Broadcasting Networks up in
- 4:54here. We have a lot of people, man,
- 4:57look at this. This is awesome.
- 4:58But yeah, happy birthday, old timer.
- 5:00Blackhawk Broadcasting Networks. That's awesome.
- 5:03So yeah, I'm gonna be on. I'm gonna be on a show this
- 5:05Friday. Guess who invited me to be on
- 5:06their show? Who?
- 5:08Griz. Big Griz.
- 5:10Yeah, Big Griz. He's doing great.
- 5:12You know, a big shout out to Big Griz and his show.
- 5:14He's doing great. And he said he misses us and
- 5:17thanks of us all the time. So I reached out to him just on
- 5:19a whim and gave him a call and we we chatted.
- 5:21He said I'd like to have you on the show.
- 5:23You know, me and me and some friends are talking about him
- 5:27the other day because we haven't heard from him.
- 5:30He's ever since his dad died, which, you know, I can't blame
- 5:34him on. That yeah, he's, he's been a
- 5:36lot. I told him I said, listen, it's
- 5:37going to be a, you know, it's going to be a roller coaster.
- 5:39You have your highs and your lows, you know, and stuff like
- 5:41that. But he's holding together pretty
- 5:43good. He's a, he's a trooper.
- 5:44He definitely is a trooper. He's definitely a military man
- 5:46who's going to hold it together. But yeah, we got, we got a lot
- 5:49going on. So you guys, I'm, I'm going to,
- 5:52I'm, you know, we don't talk politics here, but everybody.
- 5:54Did anybody not see our president when he when they
- 5:57asked him about Israel and Iran and he said they don't know what
- 6:01the F they're doing? He didn't say that.
- 6:03Oh, dude, you got a clip of it. I know you do.
- 6:08Don't know what they're doing. That was Do that again.
- 6:11That they don't know what the they're doing.
- 6:13Listen, I laughed so hard. Let me tell you, though, the
- 6:19come on, We've we've known Trump for how long?
- 6:21Since he's been running in politics, man, come on, You know
- 6:23he's going to drop the F bomb sooner or later.
- 6:25They couldn't bleep it out quick enough.
- 6:26So yeah, all these networks are scrambling and, you know, they,
- 6:29they, I'm pretty sure they're getting fined by the FA.
- 6:31What I think is weird is what what I think is weird is on
- 6:35ChatGPT. I just thought to myself, you
- 6:38know, because he wants to be, he wants to be the first to do
- 6:42everything, you know, the 1st president, blah, blah.
- 6:44He, he, he does OK. And I'm thinking to myself, I
- 6:49bet he's going to be the first person to say the F bomb on
- 6:53national TV. So I did a chat thing and it
- 6:57said, no, he's not the first president.
- 6:59And it talked about all these other presidents, but it talked
- 7:02about how it was a hot mic and it caught it and.
- 7:06No, it was no. It was no hot mic here.
- 7:08People like he literally he doesn't care you.
- 7:12Know I'm sitting here watching on the news right now.
- 7:14If you guys aren't watching on Fox News, they're actually
- 7:16showing the Dan Sullivan. He's a Republican from Arkansas
- 7:20and he's a, a Senate Armed Services Committee and they're
- 7:23showing actual live footage of the actual bomb that they
- 7:26dropped 5 feet above. And, and as it's, as it's going
- 7:30into the actual, actual cavity or wherever the, the, you know,
- 7:35the underground bunkers were and stuff like that, the bunker
- 7:37Buster or whatever they call it. And it, it's quite, quite a
- 7:40race. Listen up, listen up.
- 7:41I'm, I'm going to get straight to the point people, I am tired
- 7:44and I know all of our military veterans that are out there are
- 7:47getting sick and tired of everybody saying, hey, I heard,
- 7:52I, you know, aren't you scared at the World War Three?
- 7:54Let me tell you something. Let me tell you something.
- 7:57Unless you're a fighter pilot, don't be worried.
- 8:00Let's give you a little guess. We have a / 143,000 active in
- 8:06service aircraft. That's B2 bomber, B52 bombers,
- 8:10that's F30 fives and all that stuff.
- 8:13Well, we're not even, we're not even doing grounds on troops.
- 8:16They've got fucking drones as cool as that.
- 8:19My bad. Your infantry days are gone.
- 8:21Let me tell you, if you're going to go in there to clean up,
- 8:23that's what we're going to do, go in there.
- 8:24And clean up. It's going to be robots now.
- 8:26Yeah. I mean, it's something with
- 8:28that, Yeah. So everybody talking about World
- 8:30War Three and everything like that.
- 8:31Listen here, here's the fact. Read a book once in a while.
- 8:34I don't care if you're left whitest or a conservative
- 8:37liberal. I don't care what you are.
- 8:39Read a book once in a while. Russia supplies oil to Europe,
- 8:43right? China receives their oil from
- 8:47Iran. All right.
- 8:51That's the only people that that are that are going to hurt.
- 8:53That's the only people, right? So, So Iran has been a thorn in
- 8:57our side forever. It's time that we put money
- 9:00where our mouth is. Listen, everybody who's served
- 9:03in combat tell you war is bad. Whether you're on the winning
- 9:06side or losing side of war is bad.
- 9:09David Bolivia said the best. David Bolivia served with us in
- 9:11Iraq in the battle of Fallujah with the First Division, he
- 9:14said. We don't want war, but if you
- 9:16want war with the United States of America, I guarantee you this
- 9:19will help somebody. Else, yeah, we have that.
- 9:23We used to have that on the like the intro.
- 9:25Yeah, we still have that on the intro.
- 9:26Yeah. And, and that's true.
- 9:27So listen, it's, it's, you know, it's it it's bad.
- 9:32It's war is not good. I don't condone it at all in any
- 9:35way, shape or form. Anybody that's served in combat
- 9:37will tell you a war is not good. It's destructive for both sides.
- 9:41Right. I will just tell you this.
- 9:43I am truly blessed that our Lord and Savior above made sure that
- 9:49we had a, a strike that did not impose harm or casualties.
- 9:57Let's just say that right? And then you know you're going
- 9:59to get to all these people. You know, I know it killed
- 10:02probably a bird on the ground. It probably killed the
- 10:03groundskeeper that was there. It probably no, listen, they
- 10:06have plenty of time to get out and evacuate.
- 10:08I I don't want to hear it. Listen and war is bad.
- 10:12It is bad. I'm I'm I'm looking at it right
- 10:14now. It's completely caved in the
- 10:16where these nukes were. We don't we don't need nukes in
- 10:19the hands of anybody. You know that that is
- 10:20irresponsible. We'll just leave it at that and
- 10:22that's my political brief right now.
- 10:25The other thing I wanted to talk about real quick is is the
- 10:28hatred that we have going around this, this this country right.
- 10:31Well, you. Know, and I, I think I might be
- 10:33a little bit enjoying and I want and I kind of want to get that
- 10:36off of my chest just so you know that I, I think a lot of people
- 10:40in this country, especially veterans, we're kind of tired of
- 10:46veterans using that vet card saying, hey, you know, I'm a vet
- 10:50and you know blah, blah, blah blah look, you know it it's OK
- 10:56to tell everybody that you're a veteran, but don't make it sound
- 11:00like. You're the subject matter expert
- 11:04because you're a veteran of being liberal or being a
- 11:06conservative or. Whatever right, because I had an
- 11:09argue I had AI had a fight with a friend about because like no
- 11:12matter what he does, dude, he's always against always against
- 11:18anybody that is not democratic. Let's just put it that way, you
- 11:22know and I'm like, look, you know this is this is just the
- 11:25truth. If you're always going to
- 11:28support that side and you're never going to support the other
- 11:34side, then I'm not going to get my news from you because you're
- 11:37not neutral. You're you, you, you've already
- 11:40been cited. You know, tell it how it is.
- 11:44Tell it directly how it is. I love it how when I get
- 11:48somebody to ask me a question, I give them the neutral answer.
- 11:53And then I'm like, but just remember this side over here,
- 11:58they did this last time and this side over here did this time.
- 12:02And guess what? That they don't know what
- 12:05they're doing exactly. That's exactly, that's exactly
- 12:08it. You know, listen, just because
- 12:09you served in the military and you're a veteran, you're not a
- 12:11subject matter expert, you know, keep your opinions to yourself.
- 12:14It's just like, you know, the actors out there and stuff like
- 12:16that, your political, you know, that's nobody cares in the in in
- 12:20the military world. We didn't care.
- 12:21I don't care about as a veteran who you believe in, what you
- 12:23believe in, who you worship, who you don't worship, who you think
- 12:27should run this country and not listen, man, we got four years.
- 12:30In four years, you can vote somebody else.
- 12:32Just give it four years, man. That's what I love about this
- 12:34country. I love about the military.
- 12:35If you didn't like your commander, give it four years.
- 12:37And just a shout out, Holly is getting ready to be our our new
- 12:42like marketing person, Hollywood.
- 12:45Hollywood hates Bad Holly productions, so she has joined
- 12:51the part of our team. She has taken V space and on
- 12:56Fridays we have the Morning Wood Show.
- 12:58That's her, that's her show, so. What time?
- 13:01What time is that on Friday mornings?
- 13:04Same time as like always, 10 AM Eastern. 10 AM so listen 10 AM
- 13:07Eastern Standard Time. If you're not watching, check
- 13:10out the That's your key to to help me out here.
- 13:14Yeah, check out the Morning Wood.
- 13:19So every Friday at 10 AM Eastern Standard Time this week we're
- 13:25going to be having a a comedian. So it won't be as serious.
- 13:30You know, it should be, should be pretty comical.
- 13:34What do you think of that, Holly?
- 13:35I see her in the chat right there.
- 13:37Read, read, read. Go ahead, Holly, we got your
- 13:39girl. Yeah, I wonder, I wonder if she
- 13:41was saying that to me. Maybe I was like doing the whole
- 13:43stuttering thing like that. Stuttering to him, stuttering to
- 13:47him. All right, so Mike, before we go
- 13:50into our first break, you know, tell me about this cat that
- 13:54we're interviewing. I've I got.
- 13:56I've got so super cool, super cool dude.
- 13:59Yeah, so super cool dude. I met him.
- 14:02So as you all know that there's so many things out there.
- 14:04There's also another guy I'm going to have on on the show.
- 14:07He, he introduced me to infrared light therapy, which is
- 14:11phenomenal. I've had that done before.
- 14:14And you know, they're, listen, everybody knows that me to be in
- 14:17diagnos with PTSD, severe PTSD and stuff.
- 14:19I'm always looking for things that that help me and I'll share
- 14:22with you real quick before we go on break.
- 14:24Excuse me, allergies are killing me.
- 14:27So about two weeks ago, I was going to the grocery store and a
- 14:31bunch of Blackhawks flew over and they were flying over really
- 14:33low and they were in formation. And I kind of I kind of stopped
- 14:36for a second and I scurried into the supermarket, right?
- 14:39And my wife looks over at me and she says, you OK?
- 14:41And I was sweating profusely and I said, I'm all right.
- 14:44And she said, was it the helicopters?
- 14:45And say, yeah, a little. You know, when you're in combat
- 14:49and you have a dust off and stuff like that, it's it's
- 14:50something that triggers you, right?
- 14:52So I went home, I started my red light therapy right away.
- 14:55It's a hat that I put on. We're going to have him on the
- 14:57show. But anyways, so I met Chris and,
- 14:59and I'm always looking for new ways to help people with PTSD
- 15:02and, and stuff. And Chris is a Army veteran, I
- 15:06believe Army, but I'm positive he's Army.
- 15:08But, and Chris is a did a, it's psychedelic therapy.
- 15:14It's something they've been doing for years and years and
- 15:16years and years. And he actually went to Mexico
- 15:18and had it done. And it was paid for by an
- 15:21organization that helps veterans with severe PTSD.
- 15:24And I mean, he, he kicked the habit of drugs.
- 15:27He kicked the habit of, of, I mean, just everything that
- 15:29helped him out so bad, so awesome to get out of all these
- 15:32bad things. And I said, man, I'd love to
- 15:34have you on the show to talk about it.
- 15:35He's he's written a book about it and everything.
- 15:38It's pretty cool. So what's up, Flores?
- 15:40Flo Rider is in the house. My boy Flo Rider up in here.
- 15:45What's up, fam? Yeah, so.
- 15:46Back and I love it. Yeah, I love it.
- 15:49Guess who's coming? Back.
- 15:50Guess who's back? Back again.
- 15:52Louie money maker. Nice money maker's back.
- 15:55Yeah, money. In the military, he's he's
- 15:57coming back, I. Don't know if you haven't seen
- 15:59his show, he's pretty pretty awesome man.
- 16:01I don't know. I don't know when he'll be back,
- 16:04but he's after this. We have a, we have a training
- 16:07session, so. Yeah, hopefully we'll we'll be
- 16:10good. Well, again, you're listening to
- 16:11veterans talk on military broadcast radio.
- 16:14Yours truly, DJ Magic Mike and H train over there in the studio.
- 16:17What is that? I hope that's your finger.
- 16:18No, that's that, that, that, that's that's my, that's my duck
- 16:23I got. A.
- 16:25Duck on the 1 microphone. Yeah.
- 16:27Oh, I gotcha. We'll be right back after a
- 16:30quick break and then we'll have Chris.
- 16:32Well, we'll be close to Chris. We'll talk about some more stuff
- 16:34and then we'll have Chris on the air.
- 16:36Hey, before we go on break, do you want me to play one of his
- 16:40videos or do you want me to play a music video?
- 16:43Because you sent me two videos. I can play one of them.
- 16:46The other one I don't know if I can because it's over 10
- 16:49minutes. Play.
- 16:51Play whichever you want to. Pin OK, all right, so here.
- 16:54We. Go.
- 16:58We'll get that fixed. Yeah.
- 17:00There we go. All right, man, that's a hairy
- 17:03trigger. All right, When we come back,
- 17:05ladies and gentlemen, you listen to veterans talk right here on
- 17:08MB radio. When we come back, we might be
- 17:12talking to Chris. We don't know.
- 17:14We'll see. Now to a silent crisis gripping
- 17:18the nation. Suicide rates among service
- 17:21members are at an all time high. That's according to the
- 17:23Department of Defence releasing new data showing an alarming
- 17:26rise in suicides in the military.
- 17:58Once you get out, it's like you're left all of them.
- 18:02I struggled significantly and just losing what I was doing
- 18:05before at such a high level to now being completely dependent
- 18:10on everyone else. One month to the day of us being
- 18:14married, he had his accident. What issues were you having?
- 18:18Mostly memory loss, sleep, irritability, kind of short
- 18:24tempered but the older I got the more I realized my quality of
- 18:27life is kind of suffered. In our community, we take care
- 18:31of our own. That's what this is.
- 18:34We see our brothers and sisters struggling.
- 18:38They get out of the military and they feel alone.
- 18:40They've given their best part of them to their country and they
- 18:43have nothing left to give. We want to correct that.
- 18:46We want to resolve that problem. There's all proving.
- 18:53Grounds and opportunity for extraordinary people to continue
- 18:57doing extraordinary things. We say that in the special
- 19:03operations community, we're masters of the basics.
- 19:06At Resolve, we teach people to master the basics of good
- 19:09health, that's breathing, moving, eating, recovering, so
- 19:16that they can sleep. And we want to provide the
- 19:18training and the tools so that they can experiment on
- 19:21themselves, figure out what combination makes the right
- 19:25product for them. How do you feel after you go
- 19:42through the resolve protocol? Almost like relief.
- 19:46I just I feel like a new person. Body feels clean, my head feels
- 19:49just relaxed and clear. Spending 18 years and soft, you
- 19:53know, I've spent all that time doing things that weren't
- 19:57necessarily healthy for me. With that accumulation, there is
- 20:01no solution that is a one time fix for that kind of damage
- 20:05you're doing to your mental health and physical health.
- 20:08What's great about this protocol is it's something I can do on my
- 20:11own or, you know, whenever I feel like I need it to.
- 20:16I showed a habit of good patterns to finish it my mental
- 20:21and physical health. It's not a something that's here
- 20:24and then gone, It's something I can implement into my routine.
- 20:29As I call it bro therapy, that there is better than any of the
- 20:34other things I could do. And you're back with us here at
- 21:20Veterans Talk with your truly DJ magic mic and H training the
- 21:24studio. Pretty powerful man.
- 21:25So those of you don't know, tomorrow is PTSD awareness day.
- 21:30So you know, June is PTPTSD awareness month and then it
- 21:34culminates in on the 27th is to to raise the awareness of PTSD
- 21:40dedicated raising awareness about postmatch stress and its
- 21:43impact and to encourage those affected to seek treatment for
- 21:46PTSD is observed throughout the month of June with 20 so
- 21:50specifically recognized and as a day for focused awareness
- 21:54efforts. So those of you guys don't know
- 21:56me that I am doing a 50 mile ruck March and raise money for
- 22:01Purple Heart homes. So and that's that's that's what
- 22:04I'm doing tomorrow. Jesus help me Lord, don't let me
- 22:08die in this heat. Man, this heat has been crazy.
- 22:09How hot is it up there in Colorado?
- 22:11It's pretty hot, man. It's got it.
- 22:14Got about 100 yesterday so it's pretty hot.
- 22:18Geez, yeah. I mean, that's that's unheard of
- 22:21for for around these deasier parts here, young man.
- 22:25So, yeah, breaking news, the big beautiful Bill event at the
- 22:29White House. I mean, you got a lot going on,
- 22:30man. Lot going on.
- 22:32Geez. Yeah, something about Planned
- 22:34Parenthood, like 6 to 1 or whatever.
- 22:38I don't know if that means that Supreme Court like turned over
- 22:44what I I don't know what that all that was, but that's a lot
- 22:47of breaking news about it. That's crazy.
- 22:52I'm asking him to join, see if you can get him in into the
- 22:57backstage. Yeah, well, if he wants to be in
- 23:00a phone call too, it does. It doesn't really matter.
- 23:05That's it. Oh, there we go.
- 23:07Ladies and gentlemen, it is the Interview of the Week.
- 23:13The interview of the week is brought to you by Jersey Mike's,
- 23:18a sub above. Hey, and we're here on Veterans
- 23:23Talk with Chris. Chris, man, first and foremost,
- 23:27welcome to the show. It was awesome meeting you.
- 23:29Thank you. Sorry we didn't get you to come
- 23:32on the show last week. We took a radio day.
- 23:35But yeah, you're here. Hey.
- 23:37Man, yeah, tell us no worries. Tell us about everything.
- 23:39Tell us who you are, where you're from, and tell us about
- 23:42the program. We just played a little video.
- 23:43I don't know if you saw that. Yeah, we we played a little
- 23:47video that you had sent me and it was man, it's powerful.
- 23:50And you know, we got PTSD month. Call me with tomorrow be a PTSD
- 23:54awareness day. So tell us about it man.
- 23:57Without further ado, Chris. Hey, yeah, I'm Chris.
- 24:00I'm from Born and raised in Rowan County, North Carolina,
- 24:03from Salisbury, graduated from South Rowan High School, spent
- 24:0725 years in the Army from 1986 to 2011, got to do a lot of fun
- 24:12things. And once I retired from the
- 24:15Army, I went and taught high school and went crazy doing
- 24:19that. So I retired from that as well
- 24:21and. That's where your PTSD comes
- 24:22from, is from the high school. Yeah, I got you on that one.
- 24:25Yeah, You want to talk about high adventure?
- 24:26I'll tell you what. No, I loved it.
- 24:29I loved it with the kids. But because of PTSD, because of
- 24:33all of my, you know, TBI, concussions, things of that
- 24:37nature, I just, I honestly had no quality of life.
- 24:40I mean, I couldn't even by the end of the day standing there
- 24:42trying to teach, I will, I was wiped out when I came home.
- 24:46Then I would sleep until supper, get up, eat and then go to bed
- 24:50and get up and do it all over again the next day.
- 24:52So, you know, that it just was not a sustainable lifestyle and,
- 24:56and I didn't know how to deal with it.
- 24:59You know, I'd had my, my addictions and I had, and other
- 25:03things that, you know, it just, once you get addicted, it just
- 25:06starts spiraling and you just keep going down to down and
- 25:08down. And so fortunately I was able to
- 25:11run into an old friend and who said that they had had some
- 25:14amazing breakthroughs with psychedelic therapy And, and I,
- 25:19I never done anything like that in my life.
- 25:21I mean, the closest thing, you know, would have been, you know,
- 25:23experimenting with marijuana. But you know, beyond that, I'm,
- 25:26you know, nicotine was my big addiction.
- 25:30It doesn't matter what you're addicted to.
- 25:32That is how you know Satan works on you and he gets to you
- 25:36through addictions. And you know, you'll justify
- 25:39anything in your own mind to get your addiction.
- 25:41So wow. So anyway, now.
- 25:44You served in the Army, am I correct?
- 25:45That is correct. OK, good, good.
- 25:47I didn't want to mess that up. I said that one time before I
- 25:49got, I was in the Coast Guard and I'm like.
- 25:51Oh. Shit, and it's pronounced Rowan,
- 25:53not Rowan. That's correct.
- 25:56I got I got corrected that many times.
- 25:58I say Rowan, he they say, excuse me, Rowan.
- 26:00No, it's Rowan. I'm like my bad, my bad.
- 26:03Yeah, I get to work. Are you familiar with Robin
- 26:05Sage? With, with, I'm sorry, say.
- 26:08Robin Sage. Yes, absolutely.
- 26:11OK, so I work with that. I'm a role player.
- 26:13And so whenever the students come in, you know, they're
- 26:16Americans and we're, you know, the North Pineland Province,
- 26:20whenever they start pronouncing, as soon as they say Rowan, I'm
- 26:24making that cry. I said, boy, I said let me tell
- 26:25you, you say that around these parts and they're going to know
- 26:28you're not going around. Here, Yeah.
- 26:31So those guys don't know where Robin Sage is.
- 26:33It's it's it's pretty intense training.
- 26:35I'll just say it that way. It's intense training.
- 26:37It's a real life training. Matter of fact, they adopted
- 26:40that. That was that was, I mean that's
- 26:42been around for years and years, Vietnam era and stuff like that.
- 26:44But it's they adopted that. When we started trading up to go
- 26:48to Iraq, a lot of us participated in that.
- 26:50And I know I did it in Germany and and, you know, to train them
- 26:55up so they can get a realistic, you know, we got, you know, we
- 26:58got the mosque in the background, Blair music and
- 27:00stuff like that. And we're walking around and see
- 27:02how they, you know, how they act in certain situations.
- 27:04But yeah, it's pretty awesome. So, so, so you came back home
- 27:08from Iraq and you said, hey, I'm going to try this.
- 27:12I'm I'm going to try this thing out.
- 27:13So how did you hear about it, or how did you become first aware
- 27:15of it? Well, the very first time I
- 27:19heard about it when I was a school teacher, I read Graham
- 27:21Hancock. He's a a journalist author and
- 27:26he had now I have been addicted to nicotine since I was four
- 27:29years old. Not for four years, but I mean
- 27:32age. 4I grew up on a dairy farm initially and I would go feed
- 27:38the calves with my grandfather twice a day and he'd give me a
- 27:41dip of Copenhagen. And so that started the
- 27:44addiction. By third grade, I was buying it
- 27:46on my own. So when I joined the Army, and
- 27:50of course you're, you know, you're aware as yourself when
- 27:53you go on these deployments. For me, it was not, am I going
- 27:57to die? Is this kind of, is that going
- 27:58to happen? Is how am I going to get
- 28:00Copenhagen? So I always had a plan in place
- 28:03I would take, I would carry it with me.
- 28:06Then as soon as we got an address, my wife was on
- 28:09autopilot of buying a log and sending it every so many days.
- 28:13So my whole life centered around this addiction.
- 28:15So anyway, I read Graham Hancock, he had talked about
- 28:21going down to South America and doing what's called Ayahuasca
- 28:24DMT, had no clue what that was. I did not know what a shaman
- 28:29was, but he said that he did it one time and he never craved
- 28:33nicotine again. And so here I've tried
- 28:36everything. I've every product that existed,
- 28:39every therapy, you name it, I had tried it.
- 28:44And so whenever I would fail, and here's the part about
- 28:48addictions that I think a lot of people overlook.
- 28:51It's not the fact that you don't want to quit, it's that when you
- 28:55do fail, everyone reminds you that you're a failure and that
- 29:00just causes you to spot further and further and further and,
- 29:03and, and a lot of times they do it not with I'll intentions is,
- 29:08but it's just how you receive it because it's like, well, why
- 29:11can't I do this? I did all these things in the
- 29:13army for 25 years. Why can't I simply just quit?
- 29:18And so because it's an addiction, I will start lying.
- 29:21I would, you know, I would, I would tell my wife I'm going to
- 29:24quit. And then I would pretend I
- 29:26quitted. And then, you know, I would just
- 29:28lie about it until I got caught. And then there'd be a big fight
- 29:31and it just was no longer sustainable.
- 29:34And so, but reading Graham Hancock, where am I going to
- 29:38find a shaman? I don't even know what that is.
- 29:40They're not. They're not.
- 29:41They're definitely not in Rowan or right now.
- 29:44That is correct. So I just happened to go back to
- 29:48a, you know, one of the organizations I served with.
- 29:50I went back to a reunion and a friend of mine that I'd served
- 29:54with ages ago was now working for a veteran organization
- 29:58called, you know, A5O1C called Special Operations Care Fund.
- 30:04And he talked about the effects, the efficacy of the psychedelic
- 30:08therapy. And immediately Graham Hancock
- 30:11came to mind. And so I went up and talked and
- 30:15I was like, hey, man, how can I get in this program?
- 30:19And he, he started explaining it to me, you know, OK, well,
- 30:22psychedelics are illegal in the United States, but they're legal
- 30:25in Mexico. And it's a medical procedure in
- 30:29Mexico. So I thought, well, that's
- 30:31fantastic. But man, I cannot afford to
- 30:34just, you know, jump on an airplane, go down or whatever.
- 30:37And he goes, hey, no problem. He said, you're a veteran.
- 30:40He served in special operations community.
- 30:43He said we can get you down there for free.
- 30:45So I volunteered for what was called a trifecta study.
- 30:50The trifecta had to do with hormone replacement therapy,
- 30:54magnetic resonance therapy, and then psychedelic therapy.
- 30:58So I've done all of them except for the psychedelic.
- 31:00Go ahead, I'm I'm listening. This is interesting.
- 31:03Yeah, because the the magnetic resonance therapy, I wish they
- 31:06would get that at the VA hospital here in Salisbury, but
- 31:09it's. Expensive though.
- 31:10It cost $23,000 for the one I went to out in Texas.
- 31:13I went to Texas. OK.
- 31:15Yeah. So we went off the one in San
- 31:16Diego and, and, and again, thanks to these veteran
- 31:20organizations like Sock F. And then the big one is vets,
- 31:24veterans exploring treatment solutions.
- 31:28That one was started by. Say that one more time.
- 31:30That's pretty cool. It's called Vets and it stands
- 31:33for Veterans Exploring Treatment Services.
- 31:35Solutions. Solutions.
- 31:36I'm sorry, veterans, exploring treatment solutions.
- 31:40Correct. And so the, the owner or The Who
- 31:43started the company is actually a lady named Amber Capone and
- 31:47her husband was Marcus Capone or is Marcus Capone.
- 31:51And they were, he was a former Navy SEAL.
- 31:54And she recognized that the treatments that the VA were
- 31:58providing and, and whatever else they can find, it just wasn't
- 32:01effective. Not because the VA doesn't want
- 32:04to help, but they are restricted, you know?
- 32:06What they can do right? Yeah, so she began to look into
- 32:10the psychedelic therapy and how, you know, indigenous cultures,
- 32:14Native Americans with peyote, you know, psilocybin and magic
- 32:18mushrooms down in Mexico, where, you know, these things are
- 32:21actually legal, South America, ayahuasca, DMT, you know, all
- 32:25these different modalities. So her and Marcus partnered with
- 32:31a company called Ambio Life Sciences.
- 32:35Now they're based out of Canada, but I think the psychedelics is
- 32:40I think it's illegal in Canada as well, but they're based out
- 32:42of Canada, but their business operates in Mexico and so they
- 32:47partner together to help veterans and you go down for a
- 32:51weak retreat and you go through their modality, which is
- 32:55ibogaine and five MEODMT. So, so that's those
- 33:02organizations. That's how I found out about it.
- 33:05So what we're trying to do, and I'll, I can explain more if you
- 33:08want to hear about the modality of the two psychedelics.
- 33:10But for because I was in special operations vets, the veterans
- 33:17exploring treatment solutions and Sock F special operations
- 33:21care fund, they catered to to me.
- 33:24Now for other veterans that are out there that might want to try
- 33:26this, there's the mission within and I'll, I'll pull up the
- 33:33other. There's another one that I
- 33:34pulled up the other day as well. They also focus on psychedelic
- 33:37therapy. And we'll get veterans,
- 33:40regardless of, you know, where you may have worked in the
- 33:43military, you know, if you're suffering and we all suffered in
- 33:47some in some way, you know, it's just, let's just use hearing as
- 33:52an example. I didn't when I was getting
- 33:55ready to retire, I was not that concerned about my hearing loss.
- 33:58And but my doctor, he looked at me, he goes.
- 34:03But you have to understand you're hearing is not like the
- 34:07bank tellers, nothing against bank tellers, but you're hearing
- 34:11is not where theirs is. And that's because of your
- 34:14service. So let's look at that at any,
- 34:16you know, you have an addiction or you have a mental, you know,
- 34:20you have some sort of PTSD or some sort of trauma.
- 34:23Well, that is significant because a lot of people, well a
- 34:27whole lot of Americans don't experience what we do, you know,
- 34:30while we're training. I mean, just being around a 50
- 34:33caliber machine gun, that in and of itself will just take that
- 34:37plasticity that's in the brain and just turn it to mush.
- 34:41So, so anyway, I would reach out.
- 34:46I'm sure anyone can get on their computer and they can, you know,
- 34:49Google, you know, psychedelic therapy for veterans and, and
- 34:53you're going to get a, a list of a bunch of, you know, different
- 34:56organizations that are willing to sponsor, they'll leave them
- 34:59sponsor the wives, the dependents.
- 35:02So it's a phenomenal program. So the modality that I went
- 35:07through down in Mexico and when I say it's a medical procedure,
- 35:12like I'm telling you, it's I had to have an EKG before I went
- 35:16down and I had to send that EKG to them.
- 35:19The doctor down in Mexico that works for Ambio, he had to
- 35:22approve it. Once I got down there, we did a
- 35:27lot of the traditional Mexican programs, I guess you would call
- 35:34it. So we did the traditional NFA
- 35:38sweat lodge, which was an experience in and of itself,
- 35:41which I thought was fascinating. So, so, so let me RIP you real
- 35:45quick. How long is the actual whole
- 35:47thing, the procedure that you go down there for, How long is that
- 35:49actually? Four days.
- 35:51That's it. Four days.
- 35:52That's it. Four days.
- 35:53Let's pick it up. You had to be nervous.
- 35:56Oh gosh, yes, I cried like a baby.
- 35:58I and I'll I'm not ashamed to admit it.
- 36:01Yeah, this is something huge, right?
- 36:03So you go, so you go down to Mexico, you meet up with the
- 36:05doctors and everything like that.
- 36:06They already got your, your EKG and they they're making sure
- 36:09that you're OK and fit to do this.
- 36:10What, what do you do? What's the first process of it?
- 36:14Well, you move in, so they have a house in a gated community so
- 36:20to speak, where you get checked into the house.
- 36:25You meet the entire staff, you meet the doctors, you meet the
- 36:27nurses, you meet the providers, and then you get moved into your
- 36:32room and, and, and I'm talking first class accommodations, I'm
- 36:36talking I'm. Ready to go right now?
- 36:38Yeah, they roll out the they roll out the red carpet for you
- 36:42because and the and although like Trevor Miller, he is one of
- 36:46the Co founders of Ambio. He's a Canadian, but he loves
- 36:50veterans and he is well versed in ibogaine therapy and five
- 36:55MEODMT. So you get down there, it's a
- 36:58Monday morning, you get moved in.
- 37:02But there's also integration. Let me back up a step.
- 37:05When you agree to go through this, this is not some party
- 37:09trick. This isn't recreational.
- 37:12If you take psychedelics with a recreational mindset, that is
- 37:16exactly what you're going to get out of it.
- 37:18It's just a recreational. Trip or whatever it is, yeah.
- 37:21Exactly. So these, this is these
- 37:23psychedelics, when you know, when you hear the psychedelics,
- 37:25you're taking mushrooms in a bad trip or whatever.
- 37:28So these are not that's, that's not it.
- 37:29This is a regulated through medical therapy.
- 37:32That's correct. Yeah.
- 37:33Matter of fact, it's actually done based on your body weight,
- 37:36your body chemistry. They do all kinds of blood
- 37:38tests. I mean, you name it, but prior
- 37:42to going down there, I had to talk to an integration coach
- 37:45five times. I had to have 5-1 hour sessions
- 37:48with the integration coach. And what the integration coach
- 37:51does, they've have experienced the medicine themselves.
- 37:56The majority of them have had some sort of addiction or
- 37:59problem. So my integration coach was a
- 38:02female named Jennifer. You know, she had an eating
- 38:06disorder and so she did the therapy this.
- 38:09Is for everything. Oh, yeah.
- 38:10I mean, it's, it's, you name it. So.
- 38:13And I mean, I would spend this time, excuse me, you know,
- 38:17speaking over the phone and trying to set your intentions.
- 38:22And that's what was critical of the difference between, you
- 38:25know, doing it recreationally versus medical is I set my
- 38:30intentions and my intentions were clear.
- 38:33I wanted to quit nicotine. That was it that I figured that.
- 38:36They focus on that. Yeah.
- 38:38So that had been a part of my entire life.
- 38:42I did not know what life was like without nicotine.
- 38:44So that's what the intentions were set on.
- 38:49So I get we get picked up on a Monday morning because it's a
- 38:52medical procedure. When you cross the border there
- 38:55around, you know, just South of San Diego, you rush right
- 38:59through, you go to the head of the line, you get to the, to the
- 39:03house, you meet everyone, you get checked into your room, and
- 39:07then we'll circle up. And so you've got a group of
- 39:09veterans. You're talking about men like
- 39:11yourself who have, you know, done this nation's bidding.
- 39:14And, you know, there are times when we do things that, you
- 39:17know, we, we just don't talk about because they're just the,
- 39:21the horrible things that we are required to do.
- 39:24And so here you have those men. Buckets of tears, man, No
- 39:28judgement. This is an environment where you
- 39:32just get to open up. So is the is the treatment
- 39:35almost instantaneously, like when you're done with it,
- 39:38you're, you're, it's like you, you don't want to pick up
- 39:41another can of Copenhagen or, or or whatever be it.
- 39:44Well, I will tell you what I did.
- 39:46I'll jump to the end of the story since you asked.
- 39:49My last dip of snuff was on the Monday night, which was May 30th
- 39:55of 2023. And that was I had one dip of
- 40:00snuff left in my can and that was for me to have after we did
- 40:04the NFP sweat lodge. And I did that when I crossed
- 40:09back across the border that Friday, Friday afternoon, I had
- 40:13my one of my buddies had come to pick us up and I said I had him
- 40:18stopped at one of the convenience stores and I walked
- 40:21in and I bought a can of snuff. And he will tell you, he sat in
- 40:24the car going, Oh my gosh, it didn't work for him.
- 40:27But what I did is I bought that can.
- 40:30I came back out to the car and I took my fingernail and I opened,
- 40:34I tore the paper and I left just like that.
- 40:38And I've not touched it since. And it's still, it's still
- 40:40sitting in my gun safe. And so, so of course, my my wife
- 40:44that was more concerned about this, you know, obviously, why
- 40:49did you buy that can? And I was like, because I needed
- 40:52to prove to myself, I control me.
- 40:56Nothing else controls me. And so and so I've kept that can
- 41:00and I'm going to keep it. Forever.
- 41:02So, so, so, so if somebody wants to try this therapy or go
- 41:08through this therapy or, or who, who would they get in contact
- 41:11with you? How would they start that
- 41:12process? Well, take that veterans
- 41:16exploring treatment solutions, I think it's vetsolutions.com or
- 41:20it's vetsolutions.org. You'll find it better.
- 41:24Veterans exploring treatment solutions, contact them contact
- 41:28mission within contact special operations care fund.
- 41:33They'll be in their menu bars, they have apply and so you just
- 41:37go in, you fill in the fill out the application and someone will
- 41:41be in touch with you. Now, again, I know that
- 41:44different veterans organizations cater the, you know, slightly
- 41:47different folks depending on what you did for a living.
- 41:51And then and so that could have a if this organization doesn't
- 41:55accept you, then I will. I would almost guarantee that
- 41:59they will give you the contact information for the one that
- 42:02they that will help you if that makes.
- 42:05Sense whoever it is, yeah, yeah. So.
- 42:08That that's that's I mean I I think that's something that
- 42:11everybody should explore at least look into and try and you
- 42:17know, you're getting you're getting me dizzy there H train
- 42:22stop I'm. Trying.
- 42:22I'm trying to. I'm.
- 42:24Trying to fix this. I'm trying to fix this and
- 42:27you're not. You're not being patient.
- 42:28Hold on bro. I keep removing him.
- 42:31I keep removing him from the stage and he's like, stop, stop
- 42:33messing with it. So that was the worst thing he
- 42:35ever did was gave me power to, to, to like produce like this
- 42:39stuff, you know. So just a little background.
- 42:41H train and I served in the Army together.
- 42:43We served in Iraq. We both, we both were injured
- 42:45about the same time. And yeah, and H Train was one of
- 42:50my soldiers. He was, I mean, we had a lot of
- 42:52fun. We were stationed in Germany,
- 42:53man. We, yeah, we, we had a lot of
- 42:55fun. You know, what happens in
- 42:56Germany stays in Germany, if you know what I mean.
- 42:58But yeah, we had a, we had a great time.
- 43:00And he's, he's been an inspiration to me and all
- 43:02veterans. So TBI, early onset dementia, I
- 43:06mean, just everything you know, and H Train's been, he's been a
- 43:10trip, man. He's been a trip.
- 43:12He's like, no, I would recommend going to John Hopkins University
- 43:17website because it was President Bush in the year 2000 that
- 43:21allowed John Hopkins to start testing and researching
- 43:26psychedelic therapy for veterans and dementia.
- 43:29That if I'm, if I remember correctly, I just was on their
- 43:33site not long ago and I think I was reading something about the
- 43:37efficacy of dementia and. So there's been a study that
- 43:41says that PTSD is severe PTSD in the in the mind and the brain,
- 43:48that there's a there's a connection with that in dementia
- 43:52and early dementia, early onset of dementia.
- 43:54Yeah. It's, it's pretty crazy on the
- 43:55medicine of Journal of Medicine or whatever it was I was
- 43:58reading. Yeah, man, listen, I stick
- 44:01around. We got the tribute to the troops
- 44:02coming up here in a second. Yeah, man, Pretty awesome, man.
- 44:07Like I said, you know, I met you out there at Frontier Coffee
- 44:10Shop. Great, great group of guys out
- 44:12there. I forget who it was that
- 44:14introduced me to you, but yeah, I'm glad they did.
- 44:17Yeah. Yeah, I'm glad they did, man.
- 44:19And a great goofy eyes out there and stuff.
- 44:21I know we, I know you and I are probably the youngest ones out
- 44:23there. Yeah, that's probably true.
- 44:27Yeah, you're welcome on the show.
- 44:28Anytime, man, anytime. But yeah, we're going to do
- 44:31tribute. You still there?
- 44:32H Strain. I know he's in the back of it.
- 44:34I'm still here. I just, I had to set up things.
- 44:37You just got to be patient with me, that's all.
- 44:39That's the only problem we're going to we're going to go ahead
- 44:41and do our tribute to the troops and we'll be right back on
- 44:44veterans talk yours true, the DJ Magic Mike and our special guest
- 44:48of the week. Hey, Chris, we have a segment
- 44:50where it's it's your time to shine.
- 44:52It's it's your time to talk. We give you a couple minutes to
- 44:55just you want to give a shout out to anybody to say hi to
- 44:57anybody, thank you to anybody, whatever.
- 44:59It's just your time. We, we, you take it away,
- 45:01brother, it's all yours. We're just in the background,
- 45:03that's all. That's all we do.
- 45:05Today's Time to Shine is brought to you by Dunkin' Donuts
- 45:11veterans and 1st Responders runs on Duncan.
- 45:16This is a time to shine, believe me.
- 45:17It. Is.
- 45:20A. Time.
- 45:22To. Shine, it's all yours, man.
- 45:25Hey, brother. Oh, for me.
- 45:26Oh, OK. Well, I, if I do a shout out to
- 45:29anybody, it's going to be to AMBO Life sciences, Trevor and
- 45:32Jonathan and Isaac for, for being willing to, to assist
- 45:37veterans regardless of where they come from.
- 45:41And the shout out goes to Amber Marcus component vets.
- 45:45I mean, without her groundbreaking work and her, her
- 45:47willingness to, to find solutions, I mean, it's just
- 45:51inspiring. And then just all the other
- 45:53folks out there that work for these five O 1 CS that are, that
- 45:56are, and the donors, those that are donating money.
- 45:59And I think that could probably for someone who's not a veteran
- 46:03but would love to contribute, find these organizations that do
- 46:08psychedelic therapy for veterans and please donate to them and
- 46:12sponsor a veteran to go down to Mexico.
- 46:16Hopefully, we'll be able to get this legal here in the United
- 46:18States at some point. But until then, Mexico was it's
- 46:22the way to go. It is the way to go.
- 46:24So that's my shout out to them is the Ambio Vets and Sakaf.
- 46:29As as always, we appreciate you being on the show, man.
- 46:32It's it's an honor to meet you and thank you for your service.
- 46:35I know that's cliche, you know, from veteran veteran, but thank
- 46:38you for your service and thank you for coming on the show and
- 46:41talking about it. I mean, it's again, it's another
- 46:43tool that we can put in our belt to help with the, you know, your
- 46:46PTSD and and you know, different things that we got going on in
- 46:49our lives and stuff like that. Again, Chris, thank you so much.
- 46:52We come back. We will be tributed troops is
- 46:55next right H string. So we're going to go to tributed
- 46:58troops and then we'll be right back.
- 47:02Detail attention. First call.
- 47:09The service member's name is called out loud in the context
- 47:12of a unit. This is meant to ensure all are
- 47:15present and accounted for. Second call.
- 47:18The name is called out again louder to confirm that the
- 47:21service member is indeed absent. Third call.
- 47:26The name is called out for a final time, followed by a
- 47:28statement indicating that the service member is not present
- 47:31and accounted for, signifying their death.
- 47:34The final roll call serves as a symbolic gesture to respect and
- 47:38remember their service. Sir, I don't, I don't know how
- 47:48to tell the story. Well, you got the joke.
- 47:52You're telling their people what these men did here.
- 47:55You tell them how much troopers died.
- 48:24Hey everyone, thank you for tuning in to MBR.

- 50:59Belly cow pension ready? The station where our veterans
- 55:24voices are heard. MBR.
- 55:26Talk. Hey thanks for tuning.
- 55:31In welcome are those of the speakers and do not necessarily
- 55:35reflect the views or positions of any entities they represent.
- 55:40The web at MB radio dot. Hey, we're back with veterans
- 55:45talk with yours true, the DJ Magic Mike and H training
- 55:47studio. Our special guest Chris here.
- 55:49We talked about psychedelics upcoming, you know, PTSD month
- 55:52on in June is PTSD month with the culmination of PTSD
- 55:56awareness day, which is tomorrow.
- 55:59So everybody knows that veterans exploring treatment solutions,
- 56:06Special Operations Care Fund, Heroic Hearts project and the
- 56:11mission within. So those are all really
- 56:13important. If anybody has any questions,
- 56:15please feel free to. You can always e-mail me at DJ.
- 56:20Magic Mike. At MB radio dot US man I always
- 56:26mess it up. This is a great day at Scoutery
- 56:29Zone. Magic.
- 56:37Mike, it is totally up to you. If you want to run over a little
- 56:40bit, it's it's totally up to you.
- 56:42But if not, then we got our final thoughts.
- 56:46Let's let's do our let's do our final thoughts, brother.
- 56:49OK, All right. Here we go.
- 56:54I thought you was going to pick the lather of the two.
- 56:56I didn't really think he was. Going to see.
- 56:59Listen, man, I can't with you, man, I can't with you anymore.
- 57:03So I got the TV in front of me. It's you.
- 57:05Know I I have aggravated you all that much already.
- 57:09Yeah. Why am I?
- 57:13This is what happens when you do drugs, ladies and gentlemen,
- 57:15actually. This is why you don't eat paint
- 57:19chips, kids. This is what happens when you
- 57:21turn 47 years old You. Know.
- 57:24What? Joel just had a birthday a
- 57:27couple of nights the day before yesterday, so yeah.
- 57:30Happy birthday. He's getting up to our age,
- 57:31Chris. Well, there you go.
- 57:34I think somebody deleted it. Actually, it's not even there.
- 57:38Anyways, here's our final thought thought for today.
- 57:41I talk about PTSDI, talk about what works for me, right?
- 57:45I've done transdermal magnetic stimulation.
- 57:47I've done countless amounts of meditation, hypnosis.
- 57:53What do they call the other one? EMEMPD.
- 57:55MDT. Or whatever you call it.
- 57:58Yeah, I've done all of it. And you have to find the thing
- 58:02that works for you. And here are my final thoughts.
- 58:05Chris brings up a great, great, a great topic and that's trying
- 58:09something that will help you, right?
- 58:13Do the research. We listen, you have ChatGPT, you
- 58:16have the Internet, Google, Siri, you've got all these tools now
- 58:22that we did not used to have that you can do your own
- 58:25research. There isn't a medication right
- 58:27now, and I'm just going to share this with my final thought.
- 58:29There is a medication right now that if you take it, it can cure
- 58:33a certain element that you have. But here are the side effects.
- 58:37Death, sudden death, stroke, heart attack, loss of liver
- 58:41function, kidney function. Do you think I'm going to take
- 58:44that? I was.
- 58:45Going to sign me up I. Read up on that thing.
- 58:48And I so, so there's actual website you can go to.
- 58:51It's by the federal government and they have to say how many
- 58:53people actually died from taking this this drug.
- 58:57And there was 3924 that actually died, sudden death.
- 59:01There was over 4600 that actually had a stroke.
- 59:06There was 10,000, 1000 something that had liver damage.
- 59:09Do you think I'm going to try that medical drug?
- 59:11Probably not. I'm probably going to stick to
- 59:12aspirin. I'm just going to say I'll just
- 59:15stick to aspirin. So here's my final thoughts.
- 59:17Find out, do your research what's good for you.
- 59:20This is obviously something that works, right?
- 59:24If I didn't think it worked, I wouldn't have them on my show,
- 59:26right? It may not work for for
- 59:28everybody. Let's try, right, give it a try.
- 59:31Why not? Chris went out-of-the-box and
- 59:34said I'm going to give it a try and it worked and it's worked
- 59:37for many. And this is research has been
- 59:39done over and over on this and. You know, and I want to add.
- 59:43This up for years. I'm going to add something
- 59:45because, you know, I, I can just, I can just hear people
- 59:48like my dad being, oh, you know, I run to Vietnam and we're
- 59:52running, you know, you're going to have boomers out there that
- 59:56are always going to be against this because they were raised.
- 1:00:01They were raised, they were brought up to think about.
- 1:00:03But let me, let me throw this out to everybody to think of it.
- 1:00:08Just another point of view, OK. They give us sleep meds.
- 1:00:15They give us PTSD meds sooner or later as you grow older.
- 1:00:20Those meds, they have to change them because they accumulate,
- 1:00:24they they get acclimated to your body.
- 1:00:27These drugs that we're talking about, they're natural.
- 1:00:30So it's not exactly, you know, they don't, they don't like feed
- 1:00:36into the body, like your body doesn't get used to them.
- 1:00:40That's the reason why they're so effective.
- 1:00:42So instead of people, you know, I 'cause I can just hear my dad,
- 1:00:46Oh, I, I ain't doing LSD. You know what?
- 1:00:49We're not talking about doing LSD.
- 1:00:52They're like, oh man, I'm tripping, you know L.
- 1:00:54SDLSD is a chemical, right versus a, a natural homeopathic,
- 1:01:00if you will, way of do what They listen, We all heard it before,
- 1:01:05right? When nobody has died from
- 1:01:07smoking weed. You might have thought he was
- 1:01:08dead, but he was hungry enough in about 20 minutes to wake up
- 1:01:11and eat everything in your house.
- 1:01:14It is a plant. It happens to have some effects
- 1:01:16once it's set on fire, right? They've been, listen, the
- 1:01:19Indians, the Indians are Native Americans have been using that
- 1:01:21for years. The Mayans have been using that
- 1:01:25for, for medical purposes for years.
- 1:01:27And it's, you know, Parkinson's disease, dementia, I mean, all
- 1:01:30these different things. If you're against it, I got it.
- 1:01:33Listen, if it's against your religion, whatever, I got it.
- 1:01:36But try something that's going to help you.
- 1:01:38Besides, everybody knows my story.
- 1:01:40My doctor is currently serving a death row sentence right now for
- 1:01:45killing twelve soldiers. That was my doctor at Walter
- 1:01:48Reed Hospital. He was prescribing us medication
- 1:01:50that if we would have took, would have killed us.
- 1:01:52It was a deadly cocktail. So Doctor Nidal Hassan, right.
- 1:01:56And, and you can look that up. I challenge anybody.
- 1:01:58Fact Check me at Doctor Nidal Hassan was at.
- 1:02:01I heard that name. Yeah.
- 1:02:03Who shot and killed 12 soldiers at Fort Hood, Texas.
- 1:02:05He was literally, he was literally giving us medicine at
- 1:02:08Walter Reed Hospital that if we would have took it, we would
- 1:02:11have died. But there was seven or eight of
- 1:02:13us that did not take it because our nurse wouldn't give it to
- 1:02:16us. And, and, and, and, you know,
- 1:02:19there's so many different things out there.
- 1:02:20Now, listen, I'm not, I'm not saying all medicine is bad.
- 1:02:22Trust me. I'm not saying that at all.
- 1:02:24Blood thinners, people need them whatever to survive.
- 1:02:26I'm just saying if something's not working for you, don't give
- 1:02:30up. It's not.
- 1:02:31The end of the road. There are other options out
- 1:02:33there, and this happens to be one that's phenomenal.
- 1:02:36And Mike, I would my final thoughts on this would be is you
- 1:02:39alluded to it when we were on active duty, we had to suck it
- 1:02:42up here, take some Motrin, keep going soldier.
- 1:02:46We don't have to suck it up anymore.
- 1:02:48No, we don't. We don't.
- 1:02:49There's other options. Yeah, absolutely there's other
- 1:02:51options. This and the sucking it up days
- 1:02:53are gone. Everybody knows.
- 1:02:55My my commander told me Rangers don't cry.
- 1:02:58They don't, they don't have PTSD.
- 1:03:00Da da da da da da. He wrote a book about PTSD once
- 1:03:02he got out of the army. Go figure, right?
- 1:03:05So the, the, the, the, the moral to the story is that if it
- 1:03:09doesn't work, try something else, right?
- 1:03:11You don't have to suck it up. And that's great.
- 1:03:13I'm going to steal that from you, Chris.
- 1:03:14That's well said. You don't have to suck it up
- 1:03:16anymore, right? Who who would have ever thought
- 1:03:19that taken too much Motrin would ruin your kidneys?
- 1:03:21That's right. Or your liver.
- 1:03:23You know, so I'll leave all of you with that.
- 1:03:26Chris, it's an honor to have you on my show.
- 1:03:27You're welcome anytime here. Thanks for sharing your story
