- 2:30All you have to do to tune in and check out our local listings
- 2:32for all our shows is go to our website at
- 2:35www.worldwidesportsradio.com. It has been absolutely crazy.
- 2:43It's been a sharp week. And what I mean by that, the
- 2:46weather has been a little bit cooler.
- 2:49I like this weather, but it's been cloudy, it's been gloomy
- 2:52outside and it just seems to bring out and bring down people.
- 2:56And today all day people have been just in a bad mood.
- 3:01And it makes me in a bad mood when I'm around people and
- 3:03people are in a bad mood. It makes me absolutely hesitant
- 3:08on what I'm doing, where I am and and what they are doing
- 3:12around me. And today, and it seems like I'm
- 3:15around a lot of older people in their 60s, in their 70s, they
- 3:19have this problem with younger people, younger generation of
- 3:24people. And they think that I'm like in
- 3:26my 20s. They think that I'm a young kid.
- 3:28You're a kid, you're a kid. And I'm, and I'm like, I'm 43
- 3:31years old, Sir. And this guy opened up his door,
- 3:36hit my car, heard him. I heard him hit the car.
- 3:40And then he looks at me, making it seem like he didn't hit the
- 3:43car. I come out of the car.
- 3:45I'm speaking to him. I'm trying to confront him on
- 3:49what he did and to apologize. And he looked at me like I had 6
- 3:53heads. Oh, I didn't do that.
- 3:55And I'm looking at my car trying to find dads, trying to find
- 3:58scratches. And he says I, I don't see
- 4:01anything over there, but you hit my car and, and he was just
- 4:04nasty. And I don't, I don't get it.
- 4:06I don't get people's attitudes here in New York.
- 4:09I don't get people's attitudes period on social media and just
- 4:14what they think and and they're attacks to me.
- 4:17I like it. I like to be a heel.
- 4:19I don't like the way people respond on some of the things
- 4:23that I say because they're absolutely wrong.
- 4:25They don't listen to the whole take.
- 4:27They listen to the what minute, minute and a half short and
- 4:31they're just nasty and and and they have no idea what they're
- 4:33listening to because all they have to do is listen to the 1525
- 4:37minute take on our Spotify or Apple or even the hour take that
- 4:43We go in and we go out and we argue.
- 4:44We got Joppa his own opinion, we have Fish, we have Speedy.
- 4:48Everybody's got their own freaking opinion and everybody
- 4:51has a right to their own opinion.
- 4:53And that's why we have Jack Burke in the studio today and
- 4:56we're going to get into the World Series in his Otani take
- 4:59because he has his love fest for Otani and Jack.
- 5:02Why don't you tell the fans what you do?
- 5:04I I don't know if anybody knows who you are.
- 5:07You do a lot of great things here in the tri-state building
- 5:11for former Mets Mets players right now in the game, Yankees.
- 5:16I mean, you do a lot of things with a lot of different
- 5:18athletes. So why don't, why don't you give
- 5:19the fans a little bit of a take on who you are?
- 5:22Well, I'm a sports marketing agent and I work with players
- 5:27from all sports and I booked them into appearances, public
- 5:33appearances, private autograph appearances, you know, card
- 5:37shows, events, charity events. I booked them all over the
- 5:42country. I'm involved with most of the
- 5:44major sports memorabilia shows, including the Fanatics Fan Fest
- 5:50in New York City in June that that was held held last year,
- 5:54and Chicago, and I'm working all the time, so it's good.
- 6:00It's good to work. I I like to work.
- 6:02I'm, I'm a, I'm a jumper. And if you don't know what a
- 6:05jump actually, I don't like using jumpers.
- 6:08I'm a hopper. I like to hop from one job to
- 6:11another. As a matter of fact, this
- 6:13weekend I'm going to be hopping. I have a wedding I'm emceeing
- 6:17here at 3 Village Inn. So I'm going to be doing a
- 6:20wedding at the Three Village Inn.
- 6:22Then I'm going to be at Sunken Meadow on Saturday night by
- 6:25myself, one man, 150 people and then I'm doing a friend's
- 6:30wedding on Sunday. So I'm a hopper.
- 6:31I like to entertain people, happy to be and I was in the gym
- 6:35today. So I went from one job to
- 6:37another job and, and anybody that knows anything about the
- 6:39gym, it's a job. It is absolutely a job because
- 6:43when you walk through the doors, you don't want to be there.
- 6:45And when you leave, you feel good about yourself.
- 6:48I never feel good about myself when I leave the gym.
- 6:50I'm always nasty and and sweaty and disgusting.
- 6:54It's not one of my Forte. This is the story that everybody
- 6:58wants to talk about and I'm going to get into it.
- 7:00The 2025 World Series is now tied 2 to 2 after the Dodgers
- 7:05won an epic game three in 18 in innings six to five before the
- 7:11Blue Jays took game four Tuesday 6 to 2 and 18 innings tied the
- 7:16longest game in World Series history.
- 7:18The game also involved the Dodgers in 2018 when they beat
- 7:24the Red Sox. Freddie Freeman had a walk off
- 7:27home run to win game three after neither team had scored in
- 7:33almost 7 innings. Well, since the 7th inning, so I
- 7:37it's actually more than that. In game four, Vladimir Guerrero
- 7:40junior hit 2A2 run home run off of Shay Ohtani, his seventh of
- 7:47the postseason, a new Blue Jays franchise record.
- 7:50Ohtani was charged with two more runs in the seventh inning as
- 7:56the Blue Jays put the game out of reach with four runs in the
- 8:01inning. In tonight's Game 5 rookie Trey
- 8:05you Savage You Savage will start for the Blue Jays, while two
- 8:10time Cy Young Award winner Blake Snell will go for the Dodgers.
- 8:15And I, I want to get into this series because I was the only
- 8:19one that picked the Blue Jays to win this series.
- 8:21And, and everybody heard my take over the last two weeks and it
- 8:24was really being built up. Ohtani versus Vladimir Guerrero.
- 8:30Vladimir Guerrero was expected to be a top five player this
- 8:33year and he really became a superstar throughout this
- 8:38playoff run. And Vladimir Guerrero needed to
- 8:41make a statement in game #4 and boy did he ever.
- 8:44But I want to go into the Game 3 because a lot of people are
- 8:48speaking about this was the one of the longest World Series
- 8:51games in baseball history. And everybody was talking about,
- 8:55oh, Shay Ohtani's on the mound in in game #4 So the Blue Jays
- 9:00have to come off with a win in game #3 if they have any chance
- 9:04to win this series. I sat here on this show and
- 9:07said, win or lose game three, the Blue Jays are going to be
- 9:11Shay Ohtani. I said it and everybody sitting
- 9:15here and thinks that I'm crazy and everybody has this love
- 9:17fetish for Shay Ohtani. And as well as you should.
- 9:21I'm not saying Shay Ohtani isn't special.
- 9:23He's a great player. He really is.
- 9:25Anybody that twists and turns and tries to figure out ways to
- 9:29say that he's not are probably lying to themselves.
- 9:33I'm not saying he's not great. I'm not saying he's not a top
- 9:35two, top three player in this league.
- 9:38But to say that he's the greatest baseball player of all
- 9:41time is a little bit going overboard because they're in the
- 9:46past, there was so many great players and there was a player
- 9:49who he's, you know, everybody's comparing them to and Babe Ruth,
- 9:53who a lot of people believe is the greatest baseball player of
- 9:55all time in this generation of play.
- 9:59Barry Bonds in my eyes, is the greatest baseball player I've
- 10:02ever seen. You want to say that he cheated?
- 10:04You want to say that he did steroids, That is fine.
- 10:08There's a lot of people that were doing amphetamines in, in
- 10:11the 50s and 60s. They were cheating.
- 10:14That's cheating. That makes you concentrate
- 10:16better. Why are people not looking at
- 10:18that and saying that's not cheating?
- 10:22Pete Rose, we all know he is still not in the Hall of Fame
- 10:25because he bet on baseball. Shaya Otani did the same thing.
- 10:30He's still playing in the league, ladies and gentlemen.
- 10:33Now there is no proof and everybody wants to push it to
- 10:36the side and say, well, you know, innocent until proven
- 10:39guilty. Well, this isn't the first time
- 10:42Shaya Otani's been involved with situations over the last few
- 10:46years which cost millions and millions of dollars to
- 10:50investors. But I I don't want to get into
- 10:53the Shah Otani story because this isn't Shah Otani.
- 10:56This is the Dodgers and the Blue Jays.
- 10:57We'll get into the Shah Otani argument because we have Jack
- 11:01Burke here, but this World Series has been crazy.
- 11:08It has been absolutely crazy. It's been a lot closer than
- 11:11people thought it would be. Everybody thought that this
- 11:14series would go in five. I beg to differ.
- 11:17I said this was going to go 7 because I think both teams are
- 11:21evenly matched, not by talent, but by heart.
- 11:26And that's what the Blue Jays have in this series.
- 11:29That's what the Blue Jays have proven to us throughout this
- 11:32playoff run. They went through the Yankees
- 11:36where everybody thought after Aaron Judge hit that three run
- 11:38shot that there was no chance the Blue Jays were going to win
- 11:43that series. Meanwhile, they were still up
- 11:45two to one. And there's a lot of New York
- 11:48analysts and broadcasters that said, oh, the Yankees going to
- 11:51run away with this series. And I thought that was crazy.
- 11:53I'm going to say it. And I said on the show, Sal
- 11:55Acosta, who's been, you know, neglecting to come on this show
- 12:00because he knows I'm going to just absolutely hammer him.
- 12:03I know his uncle. I've gone back and forth with
- 12:05his uncle who's a Philly fan. And I'm not going to sit here
- 12:09and make any excuses to what the Yankees were in that series.
- 12:13The Yankees don't have any depth in that lineup.
- 12:15It's all Aaron Judge and that's all it was as he was hitting 500
- 12:19throughout the series. But you look at what the Blue
- 12:24Jays have put together, this roster is not talented.
- 12:29If you go up and down this roster, there are three or four
- 12:32guys that a lot of people wouldn't even care about.
- 12:35What could give a crap about on this roster?
- 12:37Some of them ex Yankees. The fact is they needed a star
- 12:43to step up and Bichette has been hurt really the last two weeks
- 12:49of the season. 3 weeks of the season, nobody thought he was
- 12:52going to play in the playoffs. Now he showed up and he's
- 12:55playing in the World Series. Has he done a lot?
- 12:58No. Can he hit?
- 12:59Absolutely. Hit singles?
- 13:00He's one of the best single hitters in all of baseball for
- 13:03average. The guy can hit singles for
- 13:06that. If he can get into the box and
- 13:09hit, you got to give him a shot. But they needed a superstar
- 13:13player to step up, and Vladimir Guerrero, junior got paid a lot
- 13:16of money in the offseason and got $325 million upfront and
- 13:22guaranteed, tells me that he needed to show up, and he
- 13:27absolutely has. He's done everything you want a
- 13:31superstar player to do. And he did it in game #4 against
- 13:36Shayo Watani, where everybody thought was going to be
- 13:38unhittable, like he was in the final game of the Brewers series
- 13:42as they swept through the Brewers.
- 13:45And Shay Otani had 10 strikeouts in six innings in three home
- 13:49runs in one game. And everybody was like, this
- 13:51guy's the greatest baseball player of all time because of
- 13:54one game. Throughout this playoff run and
- 13:57throughout the playoffs, Shay Otani has hit 200.
- 14:01But it's not even the Shay Otani show, like I was saying, it's
- 14:05the pitching of the Dodgers. Yamamamoto has been
- 14:09unbelievable. Two complete games.
- 14:11Blake Snell, two time Cy Young winner.
- 14:15They made the move in the offseason to bring this guy in.
- 14:18They paid him deferred money. He's not getting paid all of it
- 14:21until probably 10 years from now, 8 years from now.
- 14:24But they brought in the great, the great Blake's now.
- 14:27And boy, he hasn't disappointed this year.
- 14:29He's got one of the best change UPS in baseball.
- 14:32He's thrown play, he's thrown hitters off the plate because of
- 14:36those change UPS and he throws down and out.
- 14:39He throws the way you want a star pitcher to throw and he's
- 14:44done it. Throughout the playoffs, he's
- 14:46been dominant. They made a move last year for
- 14:50Tyler Glass. Now the guy can't stay healthy,
- 14:54but when he's healthy, he's dominant.
- 14:57Their bullpen adding Sasaki as their closer is almost
- 15:03untouchable. Do they move Suzaki in the
- 15:08offseason as a starting pitcher? Now, after what we've seen so
- 15:11far throughout the playoffs, the answer would probably be no.
- 15:16Right now, the Dodgers are tied 2 to 2, and I don't think the
- 15:20Dodgers believe that this series was going to be even close.
- 15:24And why is this series close? Because just as good as the
- 15:29Dodgers, the Dodgers pitching has been, Shane Bieber was even
- 15:34better in game #4 yes, you heard it from me.
- 15:38Shane Bieber, a Cleveland guardian, a guy that had Tommy
- 15:43John surgery about a year ago, was traded at the trade
- 15:48deadline. And a lot of people were
- 15:50questioning the Blue Jays to make that trade.
- 15:53They gave up a significant pieces, young players, future
- 15:58players maybe could be a part of this roster.
- 16:02But they made the move because they thought Shane Bieber could
- 16:06be a missing piece to a veteran pitching staff.
- 16:11And you've seen the difference. Shane Bieber just earned himself
- 16:15a significant contract because he's going to opt out in the
- 16:18offseason. After this Game four and showing
- 16:21up the Game 4 the way he played, you have to believe Shane Bieber
- 16:26is going to make himself a lot of money next year.
- 16:28Remember, he's 31 years old. He's still fairly young.
- 16:32Can he throw the fastball like he used to?
- 16:34No. But he's got tremendous off
- 16:38speed pitches. He could throw the curve, he
- 16:40could throw the slider, he could throw the change.
- 16:42He can do a lot of things that you would expect a #2 or a #3
- 16:47pitcher to do. And if you look at the net
- 16:50Yankees and you look at Rodon, who's a #3 pitcher on this
- 16:53roster, when Garrett Cole comes back, a #3 pitcher is making $26
- 16:58million a year on most rosters, on most of them.
- 17:02Not the underpaid rosters like the Twins or or the Kansas City
- 17:07Royals, but on the big rosters. And right now, if you look at
- 17:12the perception of the Blue Jays, there is none.
- 17:16There's no perception anymore. This Blue Jays team deserves to
- 17:20be here. Everybody wanted to see the
- 17:22Mariners. I remember Jabba saying it.
- 17:24I remember Fish saying it. I remember I'm saying it.
- 17:28I wanted to see the Mariners. I wanted to see Rodriguez, young
- 17:31superstar. I wanted to see Cal Raleigh up
- 17:34for an MVP this year in the American League.
- 17:37Probably not going to win it, but that's because Aaron Judge
- 17:40and what Aaron Judge did this year.
- 17:42Nevertheless, you wanted to see these superstars and we didn't.
- 17:48Why? Because Vladimir Guerrero's bat
- 17:51woke up in the playoffs. And something that I couldn't
- 17:56believe because I didn't know if Vladimir Guerrero had it in them
- 18:00year in and year outs. And then the Blue Jays are not a
- 18:03playoff team. How many times have they made
- 18:05they made the playoffs in six years?
- 18:07Not many. Two or three times.
- 18:09And they usually get knocked out pretty quick.
- 18:11Swept in both series. So and Vladimir Guerrero never
- 18:15shows up in those series. Never.
- 18:17He's been hot from the first game though in the playoffs.
- 18:20Oh, I'm, I'm going to get into his numbers right now and, and
- 18:24when you look at Vladimir Guerrero and pulling up his
- 18:28numbers, they're extensionally good that you can't argue that
- 18:33this this guy isn't an elite player in this league.
- 18:37Guerrero right now is hitting over 400 throughout the
- 18:42playoffs, 400 has seven home runs throughout the playoffs,
- 18:48breaking Joe Carter's record in 1993 when the Blue Jays won a
- 18:53World Series and the last time they won a World Series.
- 18:59It is incredible when you think about father and son and
- 19:03Vladimir Guerrero senior who is compared to one of the greatest
- 19:08outfielders, one of the greatest arms, one of the greatest 5 tool
- 19:11players the majors have ever seen.
- 19:15And, and being compared. We, we talk about father and
- 19:18sons and a lot of these father and son combinations never work
- 19:21out. If the father's good, the son is
- 19:24bad. When the son is good, the father
- 19:25was OK. Think about it.
- 19:28Patrick Mahomes senior was a pitcher for the New York Mets.
- 19:32Remember that It was a decent pitcher.
- 19:35It wasn't great. He played for the Texas Rangers,
- 19:38played with Alex Rodriguez. His son is a better athlete than
- 19:43his dad is. As a matter of fact, his son is
- 19:45one of the top five quarterbacks in the NFL, won three Super
- 19:48Bowls already. He's what, 2829 years old, still
- 19:52has a lot of career left Now. He Patrick Mahomes junior, could
- 19:56have played professional baseball.
- 19:58He was a great baseball player. He was great.
- 20:02And Alex Rodriguez, who who was on the Jimmy Fallon show the
- 20:05other day, it was pretty funny. They had a picture.
- 20:08Jimmy had a picture. Of Patrick Mahomes Junior at the
- 20:11age of 10, taking a picture with Alex Rodriguez when he was
- 20:14playing with his father in Texas.
- 20:17And Patrick Mahomes Junior kept going up to him week in and week
- 20:21out during practice and asking him, give me some advice.
- 20:25I need some advice. And, and Alex was like, I what,
- 20:29what kind of advice you want me to give you?
- 20:30And then finally, he asked him a question.
- 20:32He said, I, I play baseball. I play football.
- 20:34I'm great at both sports. What sport should I play
- 20:38professionally? And he looked at him and he made
- 20:40a joke. He said you don't want to play
- 20:43football. You make more money playing
- 20:45baseball. And he made a joke about that.
- 20:48And Patrick Mahomes decided to play football.
- 20:50He's one of the best quarterbacks right now in the
- 20:51NFL. And every time he sees Alex
- 20:54Rodriguez now because they're friends, he makes a joke about
- 20:56it because it was bad information that Alex Rodriguez
- 20:59gave to the great Patrick Mahomes.
- 21:02Why am I bringing this up? I'm going to go right into it.
- 21:06$500 million worth. Vladimir Guerrero in the
- 21:10offseason got paid over $500 million, five hundred, $325
- 21:19million upfront. When you think about that, I've
- 21:24said this over and over and over again.
- 21:26The Mets were gunning for him. The Mets wanted him.
- 21:29And if he went to free agency, he's as good as gone.
- 21:32He goes to the New York Mets, He plays with his best buddy, Juan
- 21:35Soto. He plays with his buddy Lindor.
- 21:37He's gone. He signed the contract cuz he
- 21:40wanted to stay with the Blue Jays.
- 21:42Now, remember, his father started his career in Montreal
- 21:46with the Expos. He grew up, Vladimir Guerrero
- 21:50junior, grew up in Montreal, in Canada before the Montreal
- 21:57Canadi, well, Montreal Expos were disbanded.
- 22:00Gone sold. They became the Nationals and
- 22:05Vladimir Guerrero senior went to the Angels.
- 22:10Now you think about that and you think about the hatred Vladimir
- 22:14Guerrero senior had to the New York Yankees.
- 22:17Maybe Vladimir Vladimir Guerrero junior might have picked the
- 22:20Yankees, maybe if his father couldn't stand the New York
- 22:23Yankees organization. The Dodgers are an organization
- 22:29that believes that this team is going to be a team of a decade.
- 22:35That means they're going to win multiple championships.
- 22:38And what I mean by that, they want to be the next New York
- 22:41Yankees. They want to be the 90s New York
- 22:43Yankees. They want to be a franchise
- 22:46that's going to be remembered forever.
- 22:48And what did they do? They made some unique moves.
- 22:53They made a lot of them. They brought in Friedman from
- 22:56Atlanta. They brought in Mookie Betts
- 22:58from the Boston Red Sox, 2 MVPS. Then they brought in all
- 23:06different players from all different organizations.
- 23:11They have one guy on their roster right now that they
- 23:14drafted that is a starter in their lineup and that's their
- 23:20catcher. Think about that.
- 23:22Every single one of these players, Hernandez, not a
- 23:25Dodger. You go up and down this roster
- 23:28of talent and this is a great team.
- 23:32Muncie is not from the Dodgers organization, organization.
- 23:37None of those guys are really from that organization.
- 23:40They built it by buying players. Now everybody wants to compare
- 23:44this Dodger team to the New York Yankees of the 90s.
- 23:46Not even comparable. The Yankees built around a core
- 23:49players. I've said this many, many times.
- 23:51They had Andy Pettitte, Mariano Rivera, Jorge Posada, Bernie
- 23:54Williams, Alec, Derek Jeter. They built around a core
- 23:59players. And they brought in guys like
- 24:00Wade Boggs and Scott Brosius and Paul O'Neill and Tino Martinez.
- 24:04You cannot compare this Dodger team to those Yankees teams in
- 24:08the 90s. You can't.
- 24:10And anybody that does, you're wrong.
- 24:12And I don't want to hear it. And Jabba's sitting here today.
- 24:14He would agree with me today. But the fact is here, when you
- 24:21look at the Dodgers and you look at the Blue Jays, this is the
- 24:24battle of, and I'll say this, David and Goliath.
- 24:29Going into the series, the Dodgers were Goliath and the
- 24:35Blue Jays were David. And what did David had to do
- 24:39have to do to knock off the big man?
- 24:43The Goliath, 1 rock, hit him in the forehead, killed him with 1
- 24:53Pebble, one rock. And I believe that pedal, that
- 24:58Pebble right now for the Blue Jays is Vladimir Guerrero
- 25:03Junior. Vladimir Guerrero junior had to
- 25:07step up in game #4 after they fell down in, they fell down
- 25:12early in the game, one to nothing with Ohtani on the
- 25:16mound, who gave up no runs, no runs against the Brewers, the
- 25:23great Brewers, the best team in baseball going into the
- 25:26playoffs. Vladimir Guerrero had to step
- 25:30up. They didn't have Springer in the
- 25:33game. He's injured.
- 25:34Bichette, we don't. We don't know what Bichette was
- 25:36going to give you. Somebody needed to step up in
- 25:40this line up and it had to be their superstar.
- 25:45And when you watch all those pitches and the way Otani was
- 25:48pitching to him, when he saw that pitch and he pulled that
- 25:55ball and he hit a 420 feet and knocked it out of there, it was
- 26:01a sigh of relief. Because after that home run, you
- 26:05saw Vladimir Guerrero, when he was running or walking around
- 26:10from first to second, look to the dugout and said we are good.
- 26:18We are good in Spanish, we're good.
- 26:22When you see your superstar player go out there and put
- 26:27everything on his shoulders, that tells me if he believes,
- 26:33they're all going to believe and they're all going to follow.
- 26:35And that came from Shane Bieber. After that dominated.
- 26:40And and you you talk about the bullpens.
- 26:44The Dodgers, who spent a lot of money in the offseason, deferred
- 26:47money to their bullpen and they lost a guy right now that has
- 26:51family, family situation, one of their better bullpen arms.
- 26:55He's right now not with the team.
- 26:57They're wearing a number on their hats.
- 27:00We all know the story. That is not an excuse.
- 27:04This Dodger bullpen is one of the best in baseball.
- 27:07It's not even close. You add Sasaki to this bullpen,
- 27:10it's almost untouchable that I don't want to hear it from
- 27:13anybody. Any excuses to to why the
- 27:16Dodgers are tied two to two in this series?
- 27:20Here's the reason why the Blue Jays are not giving up.
- 27:24They're not saying die. They want to get this series
- 27:27back to Toronto because they know if they get it back to
- 27:30Toronto, it's anybody's ball game, anybody's series.
- 27:37And even if the Dodgers win tonight, we don't know.
- 27:40The Mariners were up 3 to 2 going back to Toronto for the
- 27:44last two games. Who won that series?
- 27:48Toronto did because Toronto believes that if they can take
- 27:52this series back home, nobody can beat them.
- 27:56And I'll say it again, Toronto is one of the hardest places to
- 28:00play, especially when you look at the fans and the Canadian
- 28:05fans behind them right now. They got a whole country behind
- 28:09them and I'm not even talking about Toronto.
- 28:12Canada is behind them right now. Last game was the most watched
- 28:18game in baseball since 2016. This series has been the most
- 28:25watched series. That's I'm, I'm talking about
- 28:29even last year with the Yankees, the New York Yankees.
- 28:33We're in the World Series last year against the Dodgers.
- 28:36And you would have thought the great Yankees and the great
- 28:40Dodgers, the old Brooklyn Dodgers, two teams, LA, New
- 28:45York, you would have thought that would be the most watched
- 28:48series we've ever seen. It wasn't The fact that Canada,
- 28:54Japan and the United States, the LA fans are watching it and it's
- 29:03it's absolutely been mind blowing when you look at the
- 29:06numbers right now. It's incredible.
- 29:09It is really incredible. That gives, I give a lot of
- 29:11credit to the Canadian fans because Canada is hockey.
- 29:17You think about it, the Toronto Maple Leafs are playing right
- 29:19now. They're they're, they are the
- 29:23biggest draw. They are the biggest draw.
- 29:26The Montreal Canadiens, who a lot of people think could be
- 29:28Stanley Cup contenders this year, they're a draw.
- 29:33And what are the fans doing right now?
- 29:35They're watching the Blue Jays. That says a lot about what the
- 29:41Blue Jays are doing right now for baseball, what they're doing
- 29:44for their country, what they're doing for baseball and the
- 29:48strike after next year. It it's it's incredible right
- 29:53now. And it has a lot to do with the
- 29:55the young superstar in Vladimir Guerrero.
- 29:57He's becoming even a bigger star than I ever thought he was going
- 30:02to be, and it's incredible. Speedy, absolutely incredible.
- 30:05Yeah. Before you 2 argue about Shoya
- 30:06Otani, I'm going to make 2 analogies, 1 cross sport and one
- 30:09to a another current superstar player for when he was a younger
- 30:13player. So like you were saying with the
- 30:15Canadian rallying around that kind of thing too, like because
- 30:17hockey is a national sport you don't really see OK this is the
- 30:19watch most Stanley Cup even if the Canadian team is in it or
- 30:22not because of that kind of thing.
- 30:23Vladimir Guerrero junior because he was born in Canada too.
- 30:26Obviously his dad played for the Expos.
- 30:28Lifting up the whole country the way it is and lifting up a
- 30:31particular region the way it is with that kind of post season
- 30:34spark is something that you don't really see.
- 30:37And the cross-border analogy I want to make is with their
- 30:39basketball team, the Toronto Raptors.
- 30:40It looked like a core that was falling apart.
- 30:42It was never winning in the playoffs.
- 30:44You mentioned the Blue Jays. The Blue Jays have been swept
- 30:47each of the previous 2 playoffs series, including blown leads of
- 30:51big proportions against the Seattle Mariners.
- 30:53And then they got swept by the Twins the next year after that.
- 30:56And it seemed like a core that I, I was never thinking was
- 30:59going to get to this point either because they were an old
- 31:01team. They have all old right-handed
- 31:03pitchers. They have all these scrappy
- 31:04pitters that came from utility guys from Cleveland, a couple
- 31:09rookies that somebody like Nathan Lucas, somebody like
- 31:11Barger that really emerged and a pitcher and Treya Savage that
- 31:15was in Class A when the season started.
- 31:18Crazy to think that kind of thing.
- 31:19So that's the analogy cross sport I want to make.
- 31:21And then Vladimir Guerrero, junior kind of reminds me of
- 31:23Bryce Harper with the Phillies. He was terrible in the post
- 31:26season. I think besides his last year
- 31:27with the Nationals up until that, he all the pressure was on
- 31:31him at that point and he was about to get this big contract
- 31:34too. Were the Nationals going to give
- 31:36it to him with Juan Soto on the rise and a core that was falling
- 31:39apart? It was a very similar type
- 31:40thing. He goes over there to the
- 31:42Phillies. First three years they missed
- 31:43the playoffs. They really underwhelming with a
- 31:45really good team. 2022 was a six seed arrow.
- 31:47You actually called it that year they went to the World Series
- 31:51and Bryce Harper was unbelievable.
- 31:53The next two years after that was unbelievable.
- 31:55This year he wasn't that good, but Vladimir Guerrero, junior in
- 31:58A and. That's why Bryce Harper might be
- 32:00traded. He might be let go by the
- 32:03Phillies because they don't want to pay him, and they might
- 32:05decide to go with Schwaber in the offseason.
- 32:07We'll see what happens. And Vladimir Guerrero, Junior, I
- 32:10think it has that similar level of leadership and that similar
- 32:12level of confidence with this Blue Jays team, a very new core.
- 32:15Outside of Bichette, there's also not a lot of homegrown guys
- 32:18on that team either. Springer coming over from the
- 32:20Astros, they're pitching staff is pretty much besides you.
- 32:22Savage is all guys from other teams, including a 2X Mets with
- 32:25Serzer and Bassett and that kind of thing.
- 32:28He rallied around that kind of thing.
- 32:29And he's doing it against really good pitching too.
- 32:31Like Seattle has really good deep starting pitching.
- 32:34He homered off of Max Free. You were talking about it last
- 32:36week with the Yankees. Like these are guys that are
- 32:39doing it. And he has seven home runs
- 32:40already this postseason. So it's it's crazy how much he's
- 32:43elevated it. I picked the Dodgers in six
- 32:45initially. But I agree with you.
- 32:46If it does go to seven games, Blue Jays are running.
- 32:51Yeah, look, it's real simple and I know we wanted to get our our
- 32:55take from our guests. So I'll just let them get set up
- 32:57with the microphone. But I got, I got a, a picture
- 33:00here. I wanted to show you that we had
- 33:02made real quick of what Errol described earlier of David and
- 33:08Goliath inside the state. Somebody's got to take a dump
- 33:11stadium. Might as well be me.
- 33:13I'm doing. It, you know, I saw a like
- 33:16Mythbusters one saying that if you took a rock and you did it
- 33:19like a slingshot, you can get it going almost as fast as a gun
- 33:23could kill somebody if it hit him right in the head.
- 33:25Even if it was a big guy like Goliath that went over like a
- 33:30fart in church. So, so all right, I'll stop
- 33:34right there. All right.
- 33:35Jack so I I want to, so I want to get Jack, I want to get Jack
- 33:39involved in this conversation because he came on the show
- 33:41because we've been back and forth about the.
- 33:44Fact Fight at the gym Pretty. Much we do and, and Jack,
- 33:47obviously he's an agent, he works with a lot of athletes and
- 33:51we. I don't really like to speak to
- 33:53people when I'm working out. I'm very quiet when it comes to
- 33:56working out. I don't want to be bothered.
- 33:58I work out with my uncle sometimes and he speaks too much
- 34:00and that might be 1 sentence and I'll be like, I'm working here.
- 34:04So I'm one of those guys that put on the headset and I don't
- 34:07want to be bothered. So Jack came up to me.
- 34:09He said hello to me and he says, oh man, that that old Tony man,
- 34:13greatest baseball player right now in the league, not even
- 34:16close. And I said, what are you?
- 34:19What are you like getting? Then he started driving to his
- 34:21jock strap. That's what I said.
- 34:23And he looked at me and he's like, I'm not driving to his
- 34:25jock strap. Jock strap.
- 34:26You could look at the numbers. The numbers would tell you.
- 34:29I'll say, OK, so. Then we go back and forth with
- 34:33the Aaron, Judge, Otani and everything.
- 34:35Wrote a story, by the way, on the Worldwide Sports Radio
- 34:38Network, and you should read it because it's very good.
- 34:40I wrote a story, but I want to. I want people to get to know you
- 34:45and I want I want people to know your take.
- 34:47All, all of my friends, by the way, they, they know how crazy I
- 34:51am about Ohtani and, and I'll tell you one of the reasons,
- 34:56besides his greatness and everything else.
- 34:59I mean, I take a look at him and he just seemed, I haven't had
- 35:04the good fortune to meet him yet, but he just seems like he's
- 35:09such a down to earth guy. Nothing.
- 35:12Nothing you know bothers him, and he just seems like you know.
- 35:18Well, hold on one second. Nothing bothers him.
- 35:20This guy gets away with murder. Wait a second.
- 35:23This guy gets away with murder. Wait a second.
- 35:25Nothing bothers him. Of course not.
- 35:28Baseball hides him. Yep, they all know because he's
- 35:30an international phenom. That's right.
- 35:33OK, OK, but what about the umpires behind the plate?
- 35:36Yeah, if you. I watch almost as many at bats
- 35:39of his as I can. OK.
- 35:43And the umpires are terrible regardless.
- 35:46The whole plate umpires are horrible.
- 35:48But they've, I mean, I think sometimes they take a little bit
- 35:51exception against him and calling, you know, but it was
- 35:55the other night, was it last night They called strike 2.
- 35:59They call both for strike two. It was 3 and one they called,
- 36:04they called it a strike and it was ball 4.
- 36:07So, So where we going here? Are you actually going?
- 36:11Are you really going to tell me that the umpires were screwing
- 36:15Shayo Otani? Is that what you're saying?
- 36:17No, I'm not. I'm not saying that.
- 36:18I'm just saying there's a lot of bad calls, but there's a lot of
- 36:21bad calls with all of the players too.
- 36:23But do I think that there's a little bit of a bias against
- 36:27them with the with the umpires? I have to.
- 36:30I think you're out of your mind. OK, Shayo Otani, there is bias.
- 36:34I first of all, as as a Yankee fit, as a Yankee fit, I think
- 36:40every every umpire, every referee in every sport is
- 36:43horrible. They all stink for the NFL.
- 36:46I'm watching all these different referees go around and call foul
- 36:49if the foul if the foul and you watch the replay, there is no
- 36:53foul. The fouls coming from when you
- 36:55bring up Shayo Itani and you say, well, you know, the the
- 36:59umpires are not really on his side.
- 37:01This and this not. Here's what I'm going to say
- 37:03about that. Shay Otani doesn't need the
- 37:05umpires. Remember, he's an international
- 37:08phenom. Japan is behind him.
- 37:10His jersey is the number one jersey in professional baseball
- 37:14being sold. The guy is making $70 million of
- 37:18deferred money. Oh, and by the way, has $100
- 37:20million of endorsements every single year with car
- 37:24dealerships, subway, sneaker deals.
- 37:27And I'm going to feel bad for this man.
- 37:29I'm not going to feel bad for nothing because right now in his
- 37:32career, he's batting 248 with 29 hits and eleven home runs, 24
- 37:37RBIs, 26 runs scored in 30 games.
- 37:41Now, when you look at those numbers, are they better than
- 37:44Babe Ruth's? Are they?
- 37:48You're talking about in the playoffs.
- 37:49Are they in the? Playoffs.
- 37:50Are they better than Babe Ruth's?
- 37:55You know. Probably not.
- 37:57I don't really know Babe Ruth. I know he had great numbers and
- 38:00everything. It's hard to compare eras also.
- 38:03Not one. Hold on, Hold on.
- 38:05You're right. And that's what makes it even
- 38:07more interesting because Babe Ruth held one of the heaviest
- 38:10bats in baseball history and was smacking home runs.
- 38:14Yeah, maybe the pitchers weren't as heavy and hard, but this man
- 38:19against the best pitchers in the world was hitting three run,
- 38:23three home runs in a game plenty of times in the playoffs.
- 38:26I think if I'm not mistaken, Babe Ruth had fifteen home runs.
- 38:30I I don't know their numbers. And more home runs than the
- 38:32teams had and, you know, during the season at the very
- 38:35beginning. My problem here when, when we're
- 38:37trying to compare Shayo Otani to let's say Aaron Judge, OK, And
- 38:42Aaron Judge did something that a lot of players don't do in the
- 38:46playoffs right now, it's it's amazing what Vladimir Guerrero
- 38:49is doing. He's hitting right now in the
- 38:52players 400. There you go.
- 38:54So it's 2 nothing right, is it? It seems like it it 212 nothing
- 38:58you guys can bring up the numbers back.
- 39:00To back home, runs off a Snell to start the game.
- 39:02The sneakers back-to-back. That's right.
- 39:04So it's it's 2 nothing. It doesn't matter.
- 39:07That's where that's what I think it is.
- 39:09And that's why I have producers, OK, they can give us the score.
- 39:12We don't even you have the game right in front of your face.
- 39:14There's no excuse. And I'm going to tell you this
- 39:16right now. If the Dodgers lose this game,
- 39:19the series is over. There is no way they're beating
- 39:22the Blue Jays two games in Toronto.
- 39:26It there's no way. And and the Blue Jays have the
- 39:29momentum, they feel it. They believe that they can beat
- 39:33this team. And to go back to Cheryl Tani
- 39:35and Aaron George, the comparison to them.
- 39:38And I remember Alex Rodriguez was on the Jimmy Fallon show and
- 39:41he was talking about how how much of a Unicorn and everybody
- 39:44uses this stupid Unicorn crap. As we all know, Porzingis, as
- 39:50Kevin Durant for years, was saying oh, Porzingis is a
- 39:53Unicorn. Don't forget your boy Travis
- 39:55Hunter. Travis Hunter calls himself a
- 39:58Unicorn when I call him a gremlin.
- 39:59All these guys and unicorns are like 2 dimensional type of
- 40:03players. They're just special, all right?
- 40:05Because we've never seen a Unicorn because they don't
- 40:07exist. So I guess that's the name
- 40:09they're going to use. Is a Unicorn.
- 40:12Aaron Judge doesn't need to be a Unicorn.
- 40:14He doesn't need to pitch. He doesn't need to be anything.
- 40:17Aaron Judge is a superhero. Why?
- 40:19He's doing it in the hardest place to do it, and that's New
- 40:21York, NY City. How many people succeed in New
- 40:26York? How many greats come to New York
- 40:28and fail to do it in New York? But you're saying that Shay
- 40:32Otani is the better player. You're saying Shay Otani is the
- 40:35best player right now in the league.
- 40:36Are you not? And why are you saying that?
- 40:38What makes you think Shay Otani is a better player?
- 40:41Because he the pitch is that, is that what that's everybody's
- 40:44taking? What are you basing it off of
- 40:46last night? Is that what you're?
- 40:47Doing no, I'm basing it off his career.
- 40:50Okay, I mean, what do they want? What do you want from Otani?
- 40:54I mean, the fact is you. Say guy can't stay healthy.
- 40:56Well, Tony, Tony can't say healthy how?
- 40:59Can he? How you how are you going to say
- 41:01that? Torn UCL he plays as a DH.
- 41:04He's not even when he is a DH Last year he was a DH.
- 41:08OK, yeah, he stole bases. Everybody says oh we've never
- 41:11seen a 5050 player. Great for him.
- 41:14That's great again this year stole it.
- 41:16That's fine. Woulda, coulda, shoulda.
- 41:17But they didn't. Aaron judge.
- 41:19He didn't run. Because he was pitching all
- 41:22right and they didn't want him to.
- 41:23Aaron Judge played with her, her toe last year and he still won
- 41:27an MVP, All right? He still won an MVP.
- 41:30And this year everybody says, could Aaron Judge match what he
- 41:34did last year or the year before?
- 41:36Oh, I'm sorry. He hit over 330 this year.
- 41:39At one point in the in the first two months of the season, it was
- 41:43hitting 400, hitting 4/20. OK, OK.
- 41:46So, OK, great. But.
- 41:48And he played with a torn UCL all season.
- 41:52OK, great. OK, great.
- 41:55Otani. Otani was ADH and he's a
- 41:58pitcher. He wouldn't even go on the mound
- 42:00with the torn UCL. He had to get surgery.
- 42:02Our judge didn't have surgery this or this season.
- 42:05He went out in the outfield in the playoffs because they needed
- 42:08John Carlos Stanton in, you know, and that was everybody's
- 42:11attack. That was a job, a champion's
- 42:13attack to me. You're seeming like you're not
- 42:15even acknowledging any of Otani's accomplishments.
- 42:17No, I'm not saying that. I'm saying Shay Otani's the
- 42:19second best player in the league and really this year he was the
- 42:223rd best player because Gal Raleigh was the second best
- 42:25player in the league this year and that's my opinion.
- 42:28Cal Raleigh was a an all world defensive player playing a
- 42:31catching. Position So let me tell you yes,
- 42:33OK, SoCal Raleigh and I'm not saying oh Cal Raleigh didn't
- 42:35have an amazing year. Yeah, he did have an amazing he
- 42:38did. But you know The thing is so
- 42:42Otani didn't even really have a super hot streak.
- 42:44He had 55 home runs. He had 55 home runs and and and
- 42:49you're like, you know, So what? He's got eight home runs in the
- 42:52playoffs, OK. Oh, So what big deal?
- 42:55So he was on base nine times the other day.
- 42:57OK, well, So what big deal? He had three home runs in pitch
- 43:0110 struck out ten. OK, big deal.
- 43:04Whatever that those are not great performances or not the
- 43:07greatest ever. And and if they're going to
- 43:09start comparing Don Larson, OK, That's, you know, whatever.
- 43:14Who else in in? Well, Reggie Jackson and some of
- 43:19that, yeah, Reggie Jackson had, you know, that was an amazing
- 43:23feat in in 1977. But you know, it's like you
- 43:28expect the guy to go 20 for 20 in the World Series until
- 43:31somebody says, hey, this guy's amazing.
- 43:34What more with the other day when you said to me, Jack, he's
- 43:37betting 220, well, he goes 4 for four, reaches base 9 times and
- 43:40he's betting 280. So then you could come back to
- 43:42me and say, well, he's betting 280, His unbased percentage is
- 43:46his OPS is like 1300. He hasn't even been the best
- 43:49player in this series. Vladimir Carrero has been He
- 43:53hasn't even been the best player in this series.
- 43:56If you're a leader, if you're if you're a leader world.
- 43:59Series ends today. The Dodgers win.
- 44:00Who would win the World Series MVP?
- 44:03They're going to give it to Atani, but he hasn't been the
- 44:05best player. I'm on the Dodgers.
- 44:08He hasn't been the best player in this series.
- 44:10Who's been? Who's been Yamamamoto?
- 44:12Free Freeman hit that that 18th inning home run.
- 44:16He did it against the Yankees. Freeman.
- 44:18Hit the 18th inning home run. Yeah, but also to get them to
- 44:21that point, Otani tied it up on with a second home run in the
- 44:25seventh inning. That wasn't clutch.
- 44:27No, that wasn't clutch. My point you're going to tell me
- 44:30that wasn't my point here. That has nothing to do with
- 44:33clutch when it comes to it. You're your superstar player.
- 44:35You're making the most money in baseball.
- 44:38What do you mean it doesn't guarantee it guarantees it to me
- 44:41if you're the best player in baseball, you are quote UN quote
- 44:44the greatest of all time as I heard Michael Kay say it by the
- 44:48way, Michael Kay is a complete ass.
- 44:50He made an ass of himself, made a complete ass of himself
- 44:53because he brought that up and he said it.
- 44:55This guy is a Yankee guy and he's going out there and
- 44:58throwing Aaron Judge to the wolves and say, oh, Arshay Alton
- 45:02is the greatest ever. How about Babe Ruth?
- 45:04Michael Cay is a Yankee guy. How about Mickey Mantle?
- 45:07How about Yogi Berra? Who won how many rings?
- 45:09Listen, listen. Also, you know it's.
- 45:12So Michael Cay, that's what we're listening to that idiot.
- 45:15Listen, he is. I agree with you 1000%.
- 45:18But you know what? It's so hard to compare eras
- 45:22when you say, you know, Mickey Mouse, Mickey Mouse was the
- 45:25greatest of his era, you know, and so on and so forth.
- 45:27Of course he had, you know, Willie Mays and and some of
- 45:30those guys. But you know what?
- 45:32When you're comparing eras, it's so hard to compare eras.
- 45:35Just like these guys are not pitching complete games now.
- 45:38Why? It's ridiculous that these guys,
- 45:41these guys could pitch complete games they don't want them to.
- 45:45And the bullpens, you know, it's, it's ridiculous.
- 45:48These guys can't even get 40 saves.
- 45:50Because they throw 100 mph, you have I.
- 45:52Listen, I agree. I agree with that.
- 45:54I agree with that. So so you're going to tell me a
- 45:57great feat and I'm just saying Otani strikes out the side in
- 46:01the 1st and then comes up in the bottom of the first and hits a
- 46:04home run. That's, you know what, whatever.
- 46:07You know, I'm not saying Cheryl Johnny isn't a great player.
- 46:09That's not what I'm saying. It's the attacks that I hear.
- 46:13Jabba's on this show and I love Jabba and Jabba he has this love
- 46:16fetish for Cheryl Otani. Oh, proven and proven innocent
- 46:20till proven guilty, whatever. The hell you become.
- 46:23Accused and all this garbage that he comes out with telling
- 46:26me. Listen, I'll be honest with you
- 46:27and I know you're going to get on me.
- 46:29I don't even want to hear the the the stuff about about Otani
- 46:32and the gambling and. All why not?
- 46:34He should be playing baseball. Pete Rose.
- 46:37Pete Rose was caught and thrown out of baseball, never being
- 46:40invited again. This guy is dead.
- 46:42He's never going to see himself in the Hall of Fame again
- 46:46because but Sheryl taught him because he's an international
- 46:49phenom. He 02 weeks, nobody knows
- 46:53anything about it. 22 $1,000,000 Five accountants, 5 accountants
- 47:02they didn't know, $22 million he was gone.
- 47:04OK, he's making a. Come on guys, what am I born
- 47:08yesterday? You know what?
- 47:09So the guy's making a billion dollars a freaking year, OK.
- 47:13And his relationship with this guy, you know, I'm sure he knew
- 47:17what was going on, I would think.
- 47:19And he was like, whatever, he didn't care when all of this was
- 47:23going down. He still was hitting 400 the
- 47:25first month of last season. So you're going to tell me that
- 47:28that he was really worried about about stuff if he was guilty?
- 47:34I I, I tend to disagree when I said nothing bothers him.
- 47:38It's like, no, nothing. But why should it bother him?
- 47:40Everything he gets away with, Why should it bother me?
- 47:44Why should it bother anybody watching Cheryl, Tony, it, it
- 47:46bothers me. I, I had to correct myself when
- 47:49you see this guy walk up, he walks off the mound after the
- 47:52inning and he's shaking, making faces to his, you know, you
- 47:55know, all the guys on the you know, Tony and yeah, he's making
- 47:59all these weird faces, but I watch the game.
- 48:02I'm not blind. This guy, he makes a fool of
- 48:05himself. But you know what?
- 48:06It's Chair Otani, so who cares? I myself.
- 48:09Miss I has nothing to do with the Yankees.
- 48:11This has nothing to do with the Yankees.
- 48:12Nothing. Nothing.
- 48:14I could connect with the Yankees.
- 48:15I'm not going to right now. I just lost $17 million the
- 48:18other day in my in my couch cushions, just like Shohei
- 48:20Otani. You know it it just I just
- 48:22completely forgot about. They said it was even.
- 48:24More mind. They said it was even.
- 48:26More that that we know you know, but it's seven who knows I could
- 48:29just. Misplace that kind.
- 48:30Of money and not really it's gone.
- 48:32I mean, it's got to be nice if that's true, but I think it's
- 48:34kind of hard to believe that's true.
- 48:36Errol, despite all the things you're saying about Judge, I
- 48:39love Judge. Obviously.
- 48:40He's one of my favorite players have ever seen play the game of
- 48:43baseball show of times that two games this postseason in the
- 48:46last week that are considered the greatest of the greatest
- 48:50games anyone's ever had in the postseason.
- 48:52First off, the one we're not going to talk about anymore.
- 48:54We've already got three home runs, 10 strikeouts, but the one
- 48:56that he didn't game three, he went 442, double S2 home runs,
- 49:01ties the game up and then it goes into.
- 49:03Extra five times. They refuse to walk to even
- 49:06pitch to him the rest of the game.
- 49:09That's Barry Bonds treatment, you know that is and that's the
- 49:12kind of level. Stop that, Schneider thinks he
- 49:14is. Stop, stop, stop.
- 49:16Why else? Would you do it?
- 49:17Stop. Wait a second.
- 49:18Wait. You're going to.
- 49:18Say face is empty walk. You're going to say all this
- 49:20stuff about Barry Bonds? I don't even want to hear it.
- 49:23The guy's a cheater. And everything.
- 49:25And you're going to tell me that Shay Otani isn't a cheater?
- 49:27No. What?
- 49:28Really. What?
- 49:29Really what? What do you think he's doing
- 49:31right now? He's gotten away with two
- 49:33felonies 2. Why 2?
- 49:36Why is he cheating? Betting on sports that's
- 49:39cheating. OK, Yes, it does.
- 49:42It has a lot to do with it. You're betting on sports.
- 49:45You it's illegal. He's not.
- 49:47He's it is illegal, Jack. It's illegal.
- 49:50Don't know that for a fact. Just like to say how do you how
- 49:53do you not know it for a fact? It's $22 million missing out of
- 49:57your account. He just magically disappeared.
- 50:00Oh, his interpreter just said, hey, you know what?
- 50:02I'm just going to take this money.
- 50:04He's never going to see it. Come on, guys, this is
- 50:07ridiculous. And I don't care what he did in
- 50:09these two games. That doesn't make him the
- 50:11greatest baseball player of all time.
- 50:13Are you going to say about Barry Bonds?
- 50:16It's like, yeah, So what? Nobody was never caught with
- 50:19sterile. Or whatever.
- 50:20No, his freaking head blew up like a freaking beach ball.
- 50:24Oh, so, oh, so, so so we're going to go, we're going to go
- 50:27to steroids. And we've had many different
- 50:29people, statisticians on the show.
- 50:31So let's go, let's go to let's go to steroids.
- 50:35Let's go to steroids. Did Otani cheat on on?
- 50:38His physical ability? No.
- 50:41No. Are you going to tell me that?
- 50:43Did Barry Bonds cheat on his physical?
- 50:45Ability Do you know that Cheryl Tony's not doing anything 1000%
- 50:48Do you know for sure you are 100% sure Cheryl Tony's doing
- 50:52nothing 100% Well, you just you just came at me right now and
- 50:57you said, how do we know it's true?
- 50:59How do we know it's true that he knew about the money?
- 51:02So how the hell do you know that he's not doing something right
- 51:06now? You don't know.
- 51:08OK, but that's not do you that's.
- 51:10Not you don't know. That's that's not your defense.
- 51:13That that's that's your defense. No, my defense is if you would
- 51:17ask me right, if you would ask me right now, if you were to ask
- 51:21me right now between Aaron Judge and Shayu Atani, the Atlas, as I
- 51:25said in my article. Aaron Judge is not doing
- 51:28steroids. We don't.
- 51:30We don't. We don't.
- 51:31But I'm going to tell you this. I'm going to tell you this.
- 51:33Do you see Aaron Judge walking off, you know, walking out to,
- 51:37you know, his his dugout, making faces, going out there and
- 51:41throwing his teammates under the bus or what do you mean?
- 51:44Throwing his teammates on. He's he's done it before.
- 51:46He's done it before, not, not in bad ways.
- 51:48He says, listen, we, we, there are games.
- 51:51There were games this year that he said, you listen, I pitched a
- 51:53good game, you know, but you know, we couldn't, we couldn't
- 51:56do it. No, Yeah, yeah, they.
- 51:57Take responsibility for it. I didn't play well.
- 52:00They couldn't. I didn't play well.
- 52:01OK, Otani, listen, Otani didn't have his greatest pitching
- 52:06performance. It wasn't horrendous.
- 52:08He hung a curveball to to Vladimir Guerrero.
- 52:11Good for Guerrero, he hit a two run Homer great.
- 52:14He left after after six innings. He pitched 6 innings, went out
- 52:18for the 7th, got 2 runners on. You know those those two runners
- 52:21were going to score. So let let's let's let's go back
- 52:24to this because I don't. Want to go?
- 52:26No, no, no, no, because no, I'm not talking about Barry.
- 52:29I'm talking about Aaron Judge, who is hitting 500 again, even
- 52:32500 against this Blue Jays team. Is Cheryl Tony hitting 500?
- 52:37Is Cheryl Tony hitting 500 against his Blue Jays?
- 52:40He's hitting 400. Is he hitting 500?
- 52:43Is he hitting 500? And he's not hitting 400 in this
- 52:47series because he was oh for three in the last game.
- 52:49OK, but he was 4 for four in the other?
- 52:52Game he's not hitting 400, he's hitting 248 in his career.
- 52:55Pull it up, Yeah. Pull it up, speedy.
- 52:57I don't I'm how am I going to pull it up?
- 52:59I'm hosting a show. How the hell am I going to do
- 53:02that? I have two Purdue.
- 53:04I have three guys that could be looking up his numbers right now
- 53:07in the. Playoffs.
- 53:08OK, so so the fact is, So what are you saying with Barry Bonds?
- 53:13Barry Bonds is the best of all time.
- 53:15I think Barry Bonds is the greatest in the last 30 years
- 53:18and not even, not even close. Not even close.
- 53:22Not even close. Not it's untouchable when I saw
- 53:25Barry, but I don't care if he did steroids, I don't know.
- 53:28Because they no, because they all cheat.
- 53:31They all cheat. They all do amphetamines.
- 53:34So what are you telling me? Forget about amphetamine.
- 53:37What do you mean forget about it makes you concentrate.
- 53:39You have a better chance of hitting the ball with
- 53:40amphetamines than with steroids. Steroids don't make you see the
- 53:44ball better, does it? I have no idea.
- 53:46It doesn't. I've had, I've had guys that
- 53:48have played in the Major League that told me steroids should
- 53:50have been allowed a long time ago.
- 53:52Bud Selig allowed it to happen. He allowed it to happen because
- 53:56the strike was in 19. What is his numbers, Jim Fish?
- 53:58We can't see it. What is his number?
- 54:00Because you have his numbers. Yes or no?
- 54:02You're so damn slow. With Jared, Jared got it. 414 on
- 54:06base percentage. 1.182 OPS in this series.
- 54:09What is it? What is his batting average?
- 54:11He, he's doing really well. Errol, obviously, you know he's.
- 54:16Is he hitting 500 for? Four games, Jared said.
- 54:19His fighting average is 268 in the postseason this year.
- 54:21Yeah, OK, well, that's the postseason, but we're talking
- 54:24about the World Series. He's got six hits, so it's six
- 54:26hits and 21 at bats. It's going to be like 3350 or
- 54:30something. That's not great.
- 54:31No in. The World 350 is great, Errol
- 54:33350 is not great would be. Better.
- 54:35You're the greatest reason you're the greatest player of
- 54:39all time. Pretending like 350 is not
- 54:41great. Fish, I'm talking to Jack,
- 54:43please. I asked your question.
- 54:44I asked you a question. Let let me finish with Jack.
- 54:47No, I, I I'm done with this. 350 is not 500 and that's what I'm
- 54:51going to say. Did he say Blue Jays team?
- 54:52Did he hit any home runs? What are you in in the in the
- 54:54player, Aaron Judge? Yeah, you did.
- 54:56He had a three. One shot was a rocket right off
- 54:59the pole. What is it?
- 55:00What do you, you know, whoever's listening out there, look at the
- 55:03protection. Look at the protection that this
- 55:06guy has in the lineup. He's got 2 MVP's in the lineup
- 55:10protecting him. You got Friedman and you have
- 55:13Mookie Betts. You're going to tell me right
- 55:16now, Aaron Judge, who's protecting that man, Ballinger?
- 55:20But was he hitting? Why was he hitting in the
- 55:23playoffs? He was still, was he hitting
- 55:25188? Who was hitting besides our
- 55:28Judge? Nobody was protecting him and
- 55:30the man was still hitting 500. You know that when you talk, I
- 55:33guess this same Blue Jays team. What?
- 55:34You say it doesn't, It doesn't. It doesn't matter, right?
- 55:37What do you mean it doesn't matter?
- 55:39What do you mean? Because you're, you're, you're
- 55:41justifying everything. I'm not justifying anything.
- 55:44I'm comparing Aaron Judge to share with Tony.
- 55:46OK, well. Well, guess who's not playing in
- 55:48the world? Series, you're right, because
- 55:50you know, the Yankees don't go in their pockets and and decide
- 55:53to, hey, you know what, I'm going to defer every single
- 55:55player I bring in. Magic Johnson asked, because he
- 55:58probably came up with the idea. What to defer it?
- 56:01Yeah, I think that was a smart idea.
- 56:03Of course you do well. Well, what?
- 56:05You don't think so? I don't.
- 56:07No, I I wouldn't like it. I didn't like the shifting.
- 56:10I didn't like, I didn't like any of these stupid rules.
- 56:13I don't like the big bases. As Alex Rodriguez came out that
- 56:16oh, Manford is one of the smartest guys.
- 56:20Alex Hall of Famer Alex, If you want to kiss somebody's ass, you
- 56:23might as well kiss the guy that's running the league.
- 56:26Honestly, Manfred, it's, it's amazing.
- 56:28He's he's horrible. Don't go ask Alex to Hall of
- 56:32Famer. They think he's a Hall of Famer.
- 56:34That guy thinks he's uncomfortable.
- 56:36All these baits, these bases, what they're doing right now for
- 56:40baseball, it's just absolutely amazing, I think.
- 56:42For the for the next next game, I think that that in extra
- 56:45innings, they should just start off with loading the bases and
- 56:48put them in a softball. Put a softball in there and and
- 56:51have A1 nothing game or one one game turn into like a 12 to 11
- 56:55game because the runner on 2nd and that's another for another
- 56:59time. But some of these rules also, I
- 57:02don't like the the three batter rule.
- 57:04It's ridiculous. You're talking about its
- 57:06strategy. The guy comes in with a runner
- 57:09on 1st or or whatever it is. He can't find the plate tie
- 57:12game. You're going to force the guy,
- 57:15you know, you're going to keep them in.
- 57:17And then the other thing is what they were talking about, because
- 57:20they were all all, you know, had had their heads and knots the
- 57:25other night that that when they walked Otani four straight
- 57:28times, it's like, well, you know what?
- 57:32They did the smart thing. If if you're the greatest player
- 57:36on the planet, whatever it is, OK.
- 57:38Are you going to pitch to him? He just beat you 4 times in the
- 57:42game. So do you think all of the all
- 57:45of that stuff about intentional walks and after two times a
- 57:49walk, they should put a runner on it?
- 57:50That's ridiculous. That's the most ridiculous thing
- 57:52in the world. By the way, we're here in the
- 57:54studios of the Worldwide Sports Radio Network with a special
- 57:58sports agent. I see Special because he's
- 58:00definitely special. Special sports agent Jack Burke
- 58:03work. He's joining us.
- 58:04My blood. Pressure went up about 30.
- 58:06Points well what else is new you know when you hang out with me
- 58:08your your blood pressure is going to shoot it might be
- 58:10coming the blood might be coming out of your ass by the end of
- 58:12the show I. Know my daughter's listening and
- 58:15she's probably cracking up. Well, somebody's got to be
- 58:17laughing and cracking up. Somebody's got to do it.
- 58:20And I'm the one I'm the one wearing the moccasins right now
- 58:22on the show. So I, I will, I will say this, I
- 58:26and everybody that coming, I'm reading what people are saying
- 58:29on YouTube and saying, well, if you don't think Shay Ohtani is
- 58:31this and you don't think Shay Ohtani is that.
- 58:33Have you guys you've been getting some?
- 58:34Feedback. Oh yeah, I'm reading, I'm
- 58:36reading everything. Shout out to Kev.
- 58:39Shout out to me I. Probably didn't mention. 50
- 58:41fives. I'm, I'm, I'm reading all the
- 58:43things that everybody is saying. I am not saying Shay Ohtani
- 58:46isn't a top three player in baseball.
- 58:49I never said that. But to come out here and say
- 58:53he's the greatest baseball player of all time when he isn't
- 58:57the best player in the league right now.
- 59:00He's not. He's not.
- 59:02If you look at our judges numbers this year, they're
- 59:06unbelievable. This could go down as one of the
- 59:08greatest seasons a baseball players ever had.
- 59:11By who? By a player.
- 59:12By Aaron Judge you mean? Aaron Judge's numbers is one of
- 59:15the greatest seasons a baseball player has ever had in history.
- 59:19Better than Barry Bonds is best season.
- 59:22If you look at Barry Bonds is best season you compare it to
- 59:26the I believe the greatest player in 30 years that we've
- 59:30seen is Barry Bonds. I I don't think that's even an
- 59:32argument this season. What Aaron Judge had was Barry
- 59:36Bonds esque. Barry Bonds esque And what about
- 59:40And what about Altani? It was great season.
- 59:42It's just not Barry Bonds and. And last year, oh, Tommy it.
- 59:45Was great season, but he's ADH. He's a bona fide DH to a guy
- 59:49that plays in the outfield who played at center field last year
- 59:52and didn't have an error until the World Series.
- 59:55Who? Aaron Judge Aaron Judge didn't
- 59:57have one error until the World Series.
- 59:59You know we're going to go in that.
- 1:00:00Direction. Now let's do it.
- 1:00:01Shoot it. Shoot from the hit, baby.
- 1:00:04I'm waiting for it. Shoot for it.
- 1:00:06You know, I, I mean. We're we're about to talk about
- 1:00:10something else in basketball, so I might as well shoot a couple
- 1:00:13of threes 80 feet because Carl Anthony Towns can't hit him.
- 1:00:16You know, I mean, oh, Tony, so he goes 5050, he bats 310, has
- 1:00:22130 RBI's. That's that, you know.
- 1:00:25I'm not saying you show Tony isn't great.
- 1:00:27You know. I'm not saying, but you're
- 1:00:29comparing he's a cheater. Here's here's what I'm going to
- 1:00:32say. If you were to ask me right now
- 1:00:33who the National League MVP is, it's Kyle Schwarber.
- 1:00:37All right, you're out of your mind.
- 1:00:38Really. Yeah, Speedy, pull up his
- 1:00:40numbers. I know he hit 5550.
- 1:00:43Six home runs and Arrow Schwarber's ADH Yeah, that's
- 1:00:45like, it kind of hurts your. Argument on it, honestly.
- 1:00:48That's what Shay Otani is when he's not on the mount.
- 1:00:50But but like his numbers are better than Schwarber.
- 1:00:52'S I think. He's ADH as well, so it's got.
- 1:00:55Kyle Schwarber is in a good lineup.
- 1:00:57He's not in a Dodger lineup. Tony was pitching.
- 1:00:59He's not in a Dodger line. Tony was pitching.
- 1:01:02If was playing in Yankee Stadium, he'd have 85 home runs,
- 1:01:06Donnie. Really.
- 1:01:06Yeah. Yeah, really.
- 1:01:08I don't know about that, but I'll tell you.
- 1:01:11I'll tell you a couple of stats before before we wrap.
- 1:01:14Wrap this guy up. You got the 50. 50 you
- 1:01:17mentioned. Jack.
- 1:01:18We're not going to wrap 5050. No, no, we're not wrapping you
- 1:01:21What I'm saying for for this, this one little thing, diarrhea
- 1:01:23down their leg and 5050 Errol, you said that it's not as
- 1:01:27impressive as Judge playing with the torn UCL, the thumb torn
- 1:01:31UCL, not the elbow torn UCL. There's 2 ends of it, right Fit.
- 1:01:35There's a lot of guys who've had that and played through the
- 1:01:37season. But obviously he couldn't throw.
- 1:01:39He had to sit. His arm strength never came back
- 1:01:41fully right Otani about that 5050 season while he was
- 1:01:47rehabbing Tommy John surgery. Why don't you get on your hands
- 1:01:49and knees and suck them off, Errol?
- 1:01:51That's all you're doing. That's all you're doing.
- 1:01:53Response. You're such.
- 1:01:54That's all you're doing. Meanwhile, you're the one last
- 1:01:57year that said by far Aaron George is a better player than
- 1:02:00Jay Otani. You said it.
- 1:02:01Now you're going to go back to what you were saying, not him.
- 1:02:03I'm not idiot right there one that is.
- 1:02:06Comparing the two of them as who's better than who, I'm just
- 1:02:08telling you right now. Maybe you should read my.
- 1:02:10That it wasn't a pressure because of the elbow thing.
- 1:02:13But Otani went 5050 rehabbing the Tommy John surgery.
- 1:02:17Congratulations as a DA, through it as a DA, and when and.
- 1:02:20You know what? Anyone 5050 No one's ever done
- 1:02:22it. Congratulations, stealing bases
- 1:02:25so difficult. So difficult.
- 1:02:27You know what? Nobody.
- 1:02:28So difficult, you know, that's that's.
- 1:02:31So good, everyone else would do it.
- 1:02:32That's right. Listen, if I get it all runs,
- 1:02:35I'd do it. I'm going to steal from Jabba
- 1:02:37Chamberlain whenever that ever happens.
- 1:02:39I I've already can't. Wait for that, we are definitely
- 1:02:42filming that soon as it gets warm out again after the sea.
- 1:02:44I've already said that I'm going to do it and I'm going to do it.
- 1:02:48And by the way, Nick? Jack, do you think that Errol
- 1:02:50can steal a base off of Jabba Chamberlain?
- 1:02:52I don't think he can. Steal a base if he was in a car.
- 1:02:55OK, OK, OK. Then.
- 1:02:58Jack just doesn't know me. Jack doesn't know me.
- 1:03:02And and that's fine. That's great.
- 1:03:03Guess what, I was a track and field phenom and I stole bases
- 1:03:09and and by the way, he's got a pitch to a player and he's got
- 1:03:14he's got to get a catcher and they got to throw me out.
- 1:03:16There is no there. They got to.
- 1:03:18Swing How? What is this relevance to?
- 1:03:21Well, we made a bet 55 chances that I've already said that I
- 1:03:25could steal a base from out of five chances.
- 1:03:26I know I can. You can steal one out of five.
- 1:03:28I'll steal more than that. I'll steal more than that.
- 1:03:32I've already said that I'm. OK, we know you're faster.
- 1:03:34Than I could do more than one but he said the bet is 1.
- 1:03:38Wait, wait, wait. We know he's faster than
- 1:03:39Alejandro Kirk. We know that.
- 1:03:41OK, So just give it to him. I'm a lot faster than a lot of
- 1:03:44people. You know, I'm a lot faster than
- 1:03:45a lot of people. My speed and and and by the way,
- 1:03:49I'm even in better shape than remember, I'm in a lot better
- 1:03:52shape than I was being. I was always in good shape, but
- 1:03:56now I've I've went down 35 lbs. Now I'm even even faster.
- 1:04:00I'm doing I'm doing treadmill work.
- 1:04:02You kidding me? I'm absolutely going to steal
- 1:04:04against it is. This your fighting weight, or
- 1:04:06were you a little heavier when you fall?
- 1:04:07Oh, I was 170. I was a lot.
- 1:04:09Lighter. So you were.
- 1:04:10Light I was 170 and I fought at one point, at 178 two so.
- 1:04:16Freddie Freeman stinks. He's only back in 294 so.
- 1:04:20Freddie Freeman, who was The Who was the MVP of the.
- 1:04:23World. That's one of the notes I have
- 1:04:25here, too. Freddie Freeman, Just one of the
- 1:04:27most clutch guys ever. He's getting to that
- 1:04:30conversation that he may be in the Hall of Fame.
- 1:04:32Freddie. Framing he's getting.
- 1:04:33There he's a. Lock.
- 1:04:35He's a look. He doesn't have 2000 hits yet.
- 1:04:38He's not there yet. He's you got to realize that
- 1:04:40there are. Different game now.
- 1:04:41Statistical benchmarks. Different.
- 1:04:43Got a hit different game now. True.
- 1:04:45I think I would put him in. I'm just saying he's.
- 1:04:48Definitely going in. Are you kidding?
- 1:04:49They love. Him So then do you think he's
- 1:04:51how long will he have to wait? Probably not long with the game
- 1:04:56different. Everything is different.
- 1:04:58The rules are different now. Five years, I think it'll be 5-6
- 1:05:01years. I think he's.
- 1:05:02Not going to have 500 home runs. He's not going to have 2500 hits
- 1:05:06second ballot. Hall of Famer, maybe second
- 1:05:08ballot Hall of Famer. That's where I think he is
- 1:05:11speaking. You can't, you can't even wait a
- 1:05:12second. You can't even go into like with
- 1:05:14the Hall of Famers and stuff like that because it's, it's so
- 1:05:17messed up. You put a guy and, and I know
- 1:05:21him a little bit. I like him.
- 1:05:22He's a good guy. Scott Rowland, you know, put
- 1:05:25really, I mean, you know, we're talking about on, on the
- 1:05:28committee. Andy Pettit should be in the
- 1:05:29Hall of Fame. A lot of people didn't think
- 1:05:32Mike Misita deserved it, but I did.
- 1:05:33I don't. I did.
- 1:05:35I thought he did. I think he did enough.
- 1:05:38Harold Baines is in the Hall of Fame.
- 1:05:40And Bill Mazeroski, that's because of Tony Larussa.
- 1:05:43And I wanted to ask him that question when I saw him at the
- 1:05:45event. But I know I was told by his
- 1:05:48agent, Bill Mazeroski, no, that Harold Baines, because when he
- 1:05:52was working for the major leagues and he was one of the
- 1:05:54guys that were voting him in. Very nice guy, but he is far
- 1:05:57from a hall of. Famer Who?
- 1:05:58Tony Larussa. No.
- 1:05:59No, not Harold Baines is not a Hall of Fame.
- 1:06:01No, but he played long time. He longevity is unbelievable,
- 1:06:06but to say that he's a Hall of Famer is ridiculous.
- 1:06:08Why? Because he had, I think he had
- 1:06:10at 1.3000 hits. No, no, he never.
- 1:06:12What did he have for Speedy? Go go look at that.
- 1:06:14How long is this going to take Speedy to find out?
- 1:06:16Arrow Bains his numbers ready. Let's clock it because it takes
- 1:06:19him forever to look up numbers. Ever.
- 1:06:22This guy is 2679. What?
- 1:06:252679. No, I'm just kidding.
- 1:06:27Speedy, you got it yet? No.
- 1:06:29Who else? How about you Scoops?
- 1:06:31You have him because I I think one second hundred. 66 what?
- 1:06:352866? You weren't far behind, OK. 2816
- 1:06:38what? What is his numbers?
- 1:06:39His career numbers. What he bat?
- 1:06:40289 Batting average with 384 home runs 16.
- 1:06:44But he didn't stand out. That's that's, that's the whole
- 1:06:47thing. He was fine.
- 1:06:49He was a good player, right? That's what he was.
- 1:06:51He was a good player. Listen.
- 1:06:53But. Good players like Bernie
- 1:06:54Williams don't go on the Hall of Fame, right?
- 1:06:57Good players like Paul O'Neill don't.
- 1:06:58I just think those guys should are just as valuable.
- 1:07:01Just like the Yankees, they're going to put, they're going to
- 1:07:03give Paul O'Neill a statue in in center field.
- 1:07:06It's like, are you kidding me or what?
- 1:07:08Really. He played five years and he gets
- 1:07:10a statue. Well, when he.
- 1:07:12Slammed his head. The Warrior.
- 1:07:14They called him the Warrior. After after he made an out, he
- 1:07:17slams his head down. That's a great.
- 1:07:19He was there for eight years, let's be fair, and he kicked
- 1:07:231,000,000 water coolers and destroyed.
- 1:07:26I loved him as a kid. I was a kid back.
- 1:07:28Then an idiot out of yourself with that, what are you kidding?
- 1:07:30Me that that probably explains a lot about me.
- 1:07:34It's like so it. Explains a lot of bit about
- 1:07:36everybody on this show, so you know.
- 1:07:38Complete morons. So Dad, if I strike out, if I
- 1:07:41strike out, I'm going to go and knock over the water cooler in
- 1:07:43my Little League game. Paul O'Neill does it, you know,
- 1:07:46but you know, whatever. But you know, The thing is, it's
- 1:07:50like it's, it's, you know, comparing and everything you're
- 1:07:56going to wind up comparing forever and ever.
- 1:07:58And it's not going to make any sense because in different
- 1:08:02areas, first of all, in the major leagues, the standards
- 1:08:04have been lower. So you can say whatever you
- 1:08:06want. OK, Show a Otani batted
- 1:08:08280-2282, whatever he did. There's only two guys who batted
- 1:08:12over 300 in in the National League.
- 1:08:15Every standards come down. And considering the way he hit,
- 1:08:19I mean, he batted 282, which should be like, you don't think
- 1:08:23that's impressive? I didn't say wasn't impressive.
- 1:08:25Why does everybody think I can't stand Otani?
- 1:08:28Because I'm tired of hearing about Judge, Because Judge is a
- 1:08:31better player. That's all I'm saying.
- 1:08:33I said this and I want to get into the next situation, but I
- 1:08:37said this, if you were to pick a player, if you were AGM of an
- 1:08:41organization, I would pick up time.
- 1:08:43I I disagree. I'm taking I'm taking the best
- 1:08:45overall player. I'm not saying that that that
- 1:08:48that would be a bad, not a good. If you would have asked me right
- 1:08:51now who I would take out of all the players in the league to
- 1:08:54build my team start off, I'm taking Aaron Judge consistency.
- 1:08:58Are they not saying leadership, everybody?
- 1:09:01At one point was the best pitcher in baseball, they said.
- 1:09:06Shay Ohtani was the best pitcher in baseball.
- 1:09:08When? When?
- 1:09:10John Smalls would say that all the time on.
- 1:09:12When Shay Ohtani was not the best pitcher in baseball ever,
- 1:09:15at any point. He didn't pitch.
- 1:09:17At any point, at any point, he wasn't the best pitch in
- 1:09:21baseball, but never. But but he he has the stuff for.
- 1:09:25It I didn't say that, but he's never been the best pitcher in
- 1:09:28baseball and the best. Hit.
- 1:09:29You know what when you start. Coming Babe Ruth was Babe Ruth
- 1:09:34was the best pitcher in baseball and the best hitter in baseball.
- 1:09:37He was. He was.
- 1:09:39You know how? Bad.
- 1:09:40I'm just saying he was, you know how bad the major leagues was
- 1:09:43back in 19? He was.
- 1:09:45That doesn't matter. He was, you know what?
- 1:09:47He was getting drunk, coming in all right, smoking and doing
- 1:09:51rainy afternoon. That's what I love about Babe.
- 1:09:54No, listen, I'm not saying why we call him the Babe.
- 1:09:56Listen. He probably was the greatest
- 1:09:59because he was the innovator and everything else with baseball
- 1:10:02and he was amazing and everything else.
- 1:10:04He was the big drawing card. He liked to play with himself.
- 1:10:07You know, everything. Yes, all of it.
- 1:10:10He tastes himself. Yeah, well, he definitely tastes
- 1:10:13himself, including Speedy. Speedy likes to taste himself.
- 1:10:15Speedy, you like to taste yourself.
- 1:10:17What, not a cannibal? You know what, Babe?
- 1:10:23Babe Ruth didn't do a lot of, though, all right?
- 1:10:25He didn't strike. He didn't strike out a lot.
- 1:10:27You know what the Yankees do a lot of, and the Blue Jays don't
- 1:10:30do a lot of strike out. I think that's the big
- 1:10:32difference, right? Blue Jays are a team.
- 1:10:34That's we. Get off a baby in good pitching.
- 1:10:35I mean, we've, we've gone almost an hour and 20.
- 1:10:38Minutes you didn't let me get this take out this is a big one
- 1:10:41spit it outlook. This is this is exactly what's
- 1:10:45what the problem is with the Yankees.
- 1:10:47You want to Jack was saying how he can connect to the Yankees.
- 1:10:49This is how the Blue Jays are successful against really good
- 1:10:52pitching right now, for the simple reason is that they hit
- 1:10:55the contact. The Yankees built their roster,
- 1:10:58have the big power, but there's a lot of strikeout guys.
- 1:11:01If you don't get on base in the playoffs, you're doomed, and
- 1:11:05you're seeing it right now. This Blue Jays team is built for
- 1:11:08the playoffs, built for October, whereas the Yankees clearly were
- 1:11:12not outside a judge. Like you said, Errol hit 500,
- 1:11:16had the power, had the clutch three run, home run on an
- 1:11:19impossible pitch up and in good pitching that nobody should have
- 1:11:22ever been able to do. Great pitching beats great
- 1:11:24hitting any day of the week. We know.
- 1:11:26True, but great. Great contact hitting gets the
- 1:11:29ball on, great pitching. If that was the case, the
- 1:11:31Yankees should have beaten the Blue Jays.
- 1:11:34The Yankees should have. What do you mean the Yankees
- 1:11:36strike out a ton? He said good pitching beats good
- 1:11:38hitting and I said if that's the case, the Yankees should have
- 1:11:42beaten the Blue Jays. That's all I'm going to say
- 1:11:44about that. Thank you to all the fans on all
- 1:11:46the social medias. Thank you to the Spotify fans,
- 1:11:49the Apple fans, the Twitter fans or the X, whatever you call
- 1:11:52them, Instagram fans, the TikTok fans and the YouTube fans.
- 1:11:56Jop in the mouth Worldwide sports radio network.
- 1:11:58We really appreciate it. Appreciate you.
- 1:12:00By the way, I've got three stories up right now, one about
- 1:12:05Patrick Mahomes, one about the betting and one on Aaron Judge
- 1:12:08comparison to Otani. It is sensational.
- 1:12:11Speedy, loved it. Speedy, you loved it.
- 1:12:13It was fantastic, right? Tell everybody.
- 1:12:16Why don't you tell them? They have to read it themselves.
- 1:12:18It's fantastic, it really is. So if you get a chance, if
- 1:12:22you're a judge, you know, Otani fan, and you want to argue your
- 1:12:24points on who is better and who do you want to lean towards,
- 1:12:27well, go check out my story. You're going to love it.
- 1:12:30Anyways. That's it.
- 1:12:32We love you. Who do we have on a Monday?
- 1:12:33Nathan got him a Brandon Steiner.
- 1:12:35We found it. Steiner Sports.
- 1:12:36Oh, the Steiner boy, yes, we love.
- 1:12:40I'm looking forward for Brandon Steiner.
- 1:12:42You know, this guy is the man, the myth and one of the legends
- 1:12:47when it comes to taking all different figurines, autograph
- 1:12:53signings and all that other stuff and turning into Mucho De
- 1:12:56Niro and Brandon Steiner is one of the best in the business.
- 1:12:59Who do we have on Wednesday? Nothing yet for Wednesday.
- 1:13:01Speedy, are you going to smack yourself?
- 1:13:03Smack yourself in the face? Do it.
- 1:13:04Just do it right now. Smack it just quick.
- 1:13:07Happy Halloween. Smack yourself.
- 1:13:08Smack yourself. Happy Halloween.
- 1:13:10Smack yourself. No one time.
- 1:13:11Just no. I'll do it.
- 1:13:12No. Look, now do it one time to
- 1:13:14yourself. There you go.
- 1:13:17Happy Halloween to all the fans. We love you.
- 1:13:20Fish. Looks like he's going to, you
- 1:13:21know, fall asleep into his chair and we'll talk to you on Monday.
- 1:13:25Goodnight. It is the worldwide sports radio
- 1:13:28network. Radio Network.
