Transcript
- 0:09Speaker 1: Inside the Birds is back. What's going on? Everybody? It's
- 0:15Speaker 1: an emergency. Inside the Birds podcast Jeff Mosher, Adam Kaplan,
- 0:20Speaker 1: and finally, mercifully, after about more than two weeks and
- 0:24Speaker 1: almost three the Philadelphia Eagles have decided on their new
- 0:29Speaker 1: offensive coordinator. They brought four of them in for second
- 0:32Speaker 1: interviews and then ultimately it came down to Sean Manion,
- 0:37Speaker 1: the Packers quarterbacks coach. Adam someone, as we mentioned in
- 0:41Speaker 1: a prior podcast, who has just two years of NFL experience.
- 0:47Speaker 1: This is not the kind of person. Back when they
- 0:50Speaker 1: fired Kevin Patulo and started the search, and we talked
- 0:52Speaker 1: about the Brian Dables and the McDaniels of the world
- 0:55Speaker 1: that we figured the search would land on.
- 0:58Speaker 2: Yeah, look, you know we noted this three weeks, so
- 1:00Speaker 2: they wanted day Ball. We also told you that they're
- 1:01Speaker 2: not getting them. He's going to go to Tennessee.
- 1:04Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:04Speaker 2: We outlined everything. There's stuff that wasn't out there we
- 1:06Speaker 2: told you about. We put that out there. That's done.
- 1:09Speaker 3: We go forward here.
- 1:11Speaker 2: I'm glad we devoted the previous show to Manion. No,
- 1:17Speaker 2: we've definitely getting it. We just know that he was
- 1:20Speaker 2: just had a real chance to happen. If you would
- 1:22Speaker 2: have asked me a week ago, I said, no way,
- 1:24Speaker 2: Sean Manion, no way. But as we do, we react,
- 1:27Speaker 2: but then we jeck into it.
- 1:29Speaker 1: Yeah, so.
- 1:32Speaker 2: The pros and cons. The pros are, it's McVeigh tree.
- 1:37Speaker 2: He's not coming here to run a watered down version.
- 1:39Speaker 2: He's not running coming here to run a prehistoric offense.
- 1:43Speaker 2: They're not running the twenty twenty three Eagles offense or
- 1:45Speaker 2: the twenty four offense. He's coming here. He's gonna be
- 1:49Speaker 2: able to run what he feels like he can run
- 1:51Speaker 2: and needs to run. Now saying that, so did Kellim Moore.
- 1:55Speaker 2: After one week in twenty twenty four, things changed. It
- 1:59Speaker 2: sounds good and we may see like this looked beautiful
- 2:02Speaker 2: in the off season. I'm just wanting people we've been
- 2:05Speaker 2: through this before. But on the surface, I like to
- 2:08Speaker 2: hire a lot. I get he's in experience. I get
- 2:10Speaker 2: that he's only he's been he's run a room. One time,
- 2:14Speaker 2: someone from another team told me, understand with this, this
- 2:17Speaker 2: is this is the challenge of someone who I really
- 2:19Speaker 2: respect for another team, who's on the offensive line side.
- 2:23Speaker 2: He kind of gave me just how this works. It's
- 2:26Speaker 2: tough when you've only run a position room for one
- 2:29Speaker 2: year and you just retired after the twenty three season.
- 2:33Speaker 3: It's just tough to do that.
- 2:34Speaker 4: That.
- 2:35Speaker 2: Washington's gone something similar with David Blau yep. But this
- 2:38Speaker 2: West Coast thing, it's the one scheme that won't go away.
- 2:43Speaker 2: Mcveahan and Shanahan have taken it to another level and
- 2:45Speaker 2: he did from Mike Congbrand, you know, in his way.
- 2:49Speaker 2: But this is this is pretty cool. Now it may
- 2:51Speaker 2: not work. You have to see how he handles the
- 2:54Speaker 2: pressure cooker. This is Philly man, this is this is
- 2:56Speaker 2: part of it. Yeah, this is of the challenges. But
- 3:00Speaker 2: the pros to me are young McVeigh I, based on
- 3:05Speaker 2: our information we've gathered from talking to a lot of
- 3:08Speaker 2: people who would know I believe they would know this,
- 3:12Speaker 2: he should be able to run what he feels like,
- 3:13Speaker 2: he that he wants to run. Now again, we'll see
- 3:16Speaker 2: when we get there if it actually happens. But on
- 3:19Speaker 2: the surface, yeah, coach engagients, uh who know you know
- 3:23Speaker 2: who had an interest to vested interest in this felt
- 3:26Speaker 2: like they were coming out of their information gathering like
- 3:29Speaker 2: they're pretty serious about the new OC. Whoever that was
- 3:32Speaker 2: going to be m h being able to do what
- 3:34Speaker 2: he wants. But and then the conser he's young, he's
- 3:36Speaker 2: never called plays, he's only run out of position room
- 3:38Speaker 2: one year. That's a that's that's concern hurts Stoutlin. You
- 3:44Speaker 2: know it's it's we've talked, we talked to the last show,
- 3:46Speaker 2: we talked about this. That's a that's a real thing,
- 3:48Speaker 2: like matching up and Stouts is gonna have to. We'll
- 3:52Speaker 2: see what you know, what Sirianne is to say about it.
- 3:54Speaker 2: But Stouts is gonna have to. He's gotta, he's gotta,
- 3:57Speaker 2: he's gotta let go this time. They don't make the like,
- 4:00Speaker 2: they don't make this move. And he doesn't make this
- 4:02Speaker 2: with the kid manion unless he thinks he could run
- 4:06Speaker 2: what he wants to run.
- 4:07Speaker 3: Can't. You can't do it any other way.
- 4:10Speaker 1: I would agree with you on that. I was reminded
- 4:13Speaker 1: by Jimmy Keemski, my colleague, because I was trying to
- 4:16Speaker 1: find a comp and if we're going to find a
- 4:19Speaker 1: good camp. Kellen Moore played five years in the NFL.
- 4:23Speaker 1: I believe retired that last year with the Cowboys in
- 4:26Speaker 1: whatever it was, twy seventeen. He was the quarterbacks coach
- 4:30Speaker 1: in twenty eighteen, and then he was the offensive coordinator
- 4:32Speaker 1: by twenty nineteen and presiding over a number one offense.
- 4:35Speaker 1: So it can happen very quickly. He is an example,
- 4:39Speaker 1: and he was right here in Philadelphia right of someone
- 4:41Speaker 1: who did not need the polish, did not need years
- 4:45Speaker 1: of seasoning, was considered a real bright young mind and
- 4:49Speaker 1: was able to flourish. And I, you know, you have
- 4:51Speaker 1: to hope that that for the Eagle's sake, that that's
- 4:53Speaker 1: the case with Sean Manion. I was very enthused about
- 4:57Speaker 1: two things. One, what you just mentioned the coaching influences
- 5:01Speaker 1: that Mannion has had playing for guys you mentioned he played,
- 5:05Speaker 1: played for Kevin o'connelly, played for McVeigh, played for Granton
- 5:08Speaker 1: Dinski at one point, he played for a lot of
- 5:10Speaker 1: the guys who run that offense right, that West Coast
- 5:12Speaker 1: offense with the heavy.
- 5:13Speaker 3: Motion, which is insane.
- 5:16Speaker 1: I know, isn't that crazy?
- 5:17Speaker 3: Right?
- 5:17Speaker 1: So I'm enthused by that, and I imagine that that's
- 5:20Speaker 1: obviously gonna what he's gonna want to bring. But I
- 5:24Speaker 1: think the second thing that I that I wonder about
- 5:29Speaker 1: is again the autonomy. But you're right, they have to
- 5:31Speaker 1: give it to him. Sounds like they will, so we'll see.
- 5:34Speaker 1: I guess. I just I wonder about some of the
- 5:38Speaker 1: things that we didn't even think. Kevin Patulo did well
- 5:41Speaker 1: and he had years of experience. How will Sean adapt
- 5:44Speaker 1: to it? And that's sequencing, having a right feel to
- 5:48Speaker 1: call the right play at the right time. That is
- 5:50Speaker 1: just something that they're banking on the way the Cowboys
- 5:53Speaker 1: did McKellen wore and it worked out for them. But
- 5:56Speaker 1: I don't know that. We just obviously cannot know. But
- 5:59Speaker 1: I will say this.
- 6:00Speaker 2: Because that's a by the way, that's a real quick
- 6:02Speaker 2: on your you talk about sequencing. I actually was talking
- 6:04Speaker 2: to coach about this. He brought this term up to me.
- 6:07Speaker 2: It's very rare to talk about sequencing with coaches, you know,
- 6:10Speaker 2: when when you and I make calls around the league. HM.
- 6:12Speaker 2: They were talking about how listen your your own a
- 6:16Speaker 2: role here. Yes it's third down, but you want to
- 6:20Speaker 2: keep everything in order of the way that you plan it,
- 6:22Speaker 2: don't get out of order. And that's what happened with
- 6:24Speaker 2: the sequencing. M It looked like you were like, well,
- 6:27Speaker 2: why they did they just call this play?
- 6:29Speaker 3: It's working.
- 6:31Speaker 2: You're trying to keep things orderly here and then you
- 6:34Speaker 2: change it up because you feel like you want to
- 6:37Speaker 2: change something up. No, you you it has It's less
- 6:40Speaker 2: about third down. It's just the if you're rolling a
- 6:42Speaker 2: certain way, you mirror it later in the game. And
- 6:46Speaker 2: for some reason, we've talked about this a lot. Grey
- 6:50Speaker 2: coach will talk about it inside the tape. He couldn't
- 6:52Speaker 2: understand why they would change it up, but it is
- 6:54Speaker 2: what it is.
- 6:54Speaker 1: Yeah, No, you just hope he has a better knack
- 6:57Speaker 1: for it than Ken and maybe being a quarterback like
- 6:59Speaker 1: Kellen Moore and Sean Mannium was an NFL quarterback And
- 7:03Speaker 1: no matter what, even if you don't play a lot,
- 7:04Speaker 1: you're in practice. You're running the two minute, you're running
- 7:07Speaker 1: the four minute. You are a play caller a lot
- 7:09Speaker 1: of those times, and you have to know what plays
- 7:11Speaker 1: you want to get in and get out of really quickly.
- 7:13Speaker 1: You have to be a quick thinker. And as a
- 7:15Speaker 1: quarterback you probably feel it as the offense is running
- 7:18Speaker 1: what works well in sequence with another play. I do
- 7:21Speaker 1: think being a quarterback and playing all your life. And
- 7:24Speaker 1: I know Kevin Patula was a but he wasn't like
- 7:26Speaker 1: a college or a big time college quarterback so I
- 7:29Speaker 1: think that maybe that experience will be a bigger upgrade,
- 7:34Speaker 1: and you hope that. I mean, he was a banking
- 7:35Speaker 1: on it, But I will I will say this without
- 7:38Speaker 1: putting a value judgment on it, because we have done
- 7:40Speaker 1: this long enough to know that every guy who gets
- 7:42Speaker 1: hired is a rising, a good young mind. That's why
- 7:45Speaker 1: they're interviewing aside.
- 7:48Speaker 3: But yes, they've had a lot of luck.
- 7:52Speaker 1: Yeah. Remember we got great feedback on Sewan decide how
- 7:54Speaker 1: smart he was, how he had a master's in elementary right,
- 7:58Speaker 1: So for every great, every good, there's a beast. So
- 8:01Speaker 1: I'm not putting any value judgment on this, like it's
- 8:03Speaker 1: gonna work, it's not gonna work. I like it, I don't,
- 8:05Speaker 1: But I will say this, the Eagles absolutely went through
- 8:09Speaker 1: a thorough process. They cast a wide net. They interviewed
- 8:13Speaker 1: all types of guys, from all types of backgrounds, from
- 8:16Speaker 1: you know, they didn't just limit themselves. They took their time.
- 8:19Speaker 1: So from that standpoint, I cannot question how thorough they were.
- 8:23Speaker 1: I might question if this guy's really prepared for the
- 8:25Speaker 1: moment in this city, in this environment, how it's gonna look,
- 8:29Speaker 1: what's gonna happen? If they lose two games in a row,
- 8:32Speaker 1: and all of a sudden, the city thinks like the
- 8:34Speaker 1: offense sucks, and this guy's thinks that because all that's coming,
- 8:37Speaker 1: you know it, No team, They're not going sixteen to
- 8:39Speaker 1: no next year, seventeen to zer. It is coming. How
- 8:42Speaker 1: he handles it, I have no idea, but I do
- 8:44Speaker 1: give the Eagles credit for having a very long, thorough
- 8:49Speaker 1: investigative process, not limiting themselves to one type of guy
- 8:54Speaker 1: and doing this. I do wonder. I think it's fair
- 8:57Speaker 1: to wonder this because you and I have covered this
- 8:58Speaker 1: team a long time, right, I do wonder if this
- 9:01Speaker 1: is a highre that leans more toward the Jeffrey Lurie
- 9:06Speaker 1: Howie Roseman preference than Nick Siriani. That's something we'll look
- 9:10Speaker 1: into and find out down the road. But when you
- 9:13Speaker 1: hear about a guy who has no experience, especially from
- 9:15Speaker 1: Green Bay, getting hired right like you, that makes you
- 9:18Speaker 1: think Jeffrey Howe he visionary, somebody in the right mind.
- 9:21Speaker 1: But I don't know, because you don't know years.
- 9:25Speaker 2: Listen, when Rich Ganguarello came in here, do you think
- 9:28Speaker 2: that Peterson really wanted him?
- 9:29Speaker 1: No?
- 9:30Speaker 3: Think, come on right, that that was innovation.
- 9:33Speaker 2: Doug bristoled when the Meatia would ask him it bothered him, right,
- 9:38Speaker 2: I mean did he Only Doug will know if he
- 9:40Speaker 2: really truly wanted him, and.
- 9:42Speaker 1: Basically said, I'll see your scang guerrilla and I'll raise
- 9:44Speaker 1: you on Marty so to get an alley.
- 9:46Speaker 3: And Marty was in there.
- 9:48Speaker 2: But the bottom line is, uh kind of forced innovation.
- 9:52Speaker 2: We'll never know truly. No, Nick's making the call in
- 9:55Speaker 2: this one to hire him. Yes, we know who has
- 9:58Speaker 2: been in the meetings. It's not a secret to anybody
- 9:59Speaker 2: who follows the team or covers the team. But the
- 10:02Speaker 2: bottom line is in this and with this particular team
- 10:05Speaker 2: of all thirty two. Not that everyone doesn't want a
- 10:08Speaker 2: great offense. They could say it, but here they they
- 10:10Speaker 2: live it, they want it. It's not acceptable to have
- 10:13Speaker 2: a season like they had quite frankly the last three
- 10:15Speaker 2: offensively in passing game. Okay, they gotta get they gotta
- 10:19Speaker 2: this is it, I mean, this is it's gotta work.
- 10:22Speaker 2: It's gotta work for Hurts, it's gotta work for Sirianni.
- 10:26Speaker 2: You don't want to imagine what it would be like
- 10:28Speaker 2: if this doesn't work. No, we know, we know, we
- 10:30Speaker 2: don't have people watching now it will never be exact.
- 10:34Speaker 1: Tell how ugly it was with the Sion and and
- 10:37Speaker 1: that was really really that.
- 10:38Speaker 2: By the way, you didn't have to Jeffery didn't have
- 10:40Speaker 2: to have any involvement in that one, or even Nick
- 10:43Speaker 2: had to take care because there was a revolt generally,
- 10:46Speaker 2: as we reported at the time. But the bottom line
- 10:48Speaker 2: is with this one moving forward here, uh, it's intriguing.
- 10:51Speaker 2: We were not fans, so it's not like, oh, we
- 10:55Speaker 2: don't we're not judging, We're not like one out of ten,
- 10:58Speaker 2: We're not you know, we just not talk ready here
- 11:00Speaker 2: we tell it real here. It makes a lot of
- 11:02Speaker 2: sense from people we've spoken with. I think he's really smart.
- 11:05Speaker 2: But guess what, most coaches are.
- 11:07Speaker 1: Smart, right, Okay, why either getting interviewed?
- 11:10Speaker 3: What's that?
- 11:10Speaker 1: That's why they're getting interviewed because they And I remember,
- 11:15Speaker 1: by the way, I remember people so excited about Jonathan
- 11:18Speaker 1: Gannon because, as we reported at the time, one of
- 11:21Speaker 1: the reasons Nick got hired because you know, when he
- 11:23Speaker 1: presented his list of coaches he's gonna bring, Gannon was
- 11:26Speaker 1: up there, and they knew because Gannon was a rising name.
- 11:29Speaker 3: And listen, you already knew that. I remember that you.
- 11:31Speaker 1: Yeah, if that name is mud in Philadelphia now people
- 11:34Speaker 1: can't stand out of it.
- 11:35Speaker 3: That's that's fine.
- 11:36Speaker 2: But that's impressive because I remember you noted that Jeffrey
- 11:39Speaker 2: knew about him.
- 11:40Speaker 3: He was like, that's again, this is what it doesn't mean.
- 11:43Speaker 2: They're always right, as you said earlier, on these innovative guys,
- 11:46Speaker 2: smart guys.
- 11:47Speaker 1: Yep.
- 11:48Speaker 3: But I like that.
- 11:49Speaker 2: It's not going to stop them. You can't worry about
- 11:51Speaker 2: what the meetia and the met and the fans think.
- 11:53Speaker 2: If you worry about that, you're gonna be sitting with
- 11:54Speaker 2: them right right. That's the bottom line. You just got
- 11:57Speaker 2: to do your homework and and just be supportive. And
- 12:01Speaker 2: you're from a coaching standpoint, Nick's got to support the kid.
- 12:05Speaker 2: And look, they're players on the team that are older
- 12:07Speaker 2: than him. It's yeah, it's Lane's older than him, and
- 12:11Speaker 2: Johnson is older than him. I think he turns I
- 12:14Speaker 2: think man in terms maybe thirty four July or something.
- 12:16Speaker 3: But it's And.
- 12:19Speaker 2: The funny thing you mentioned Kellen Moore, one of the
- 12:21Speaker 2: bigger reasons why he got the OC job is because
- 12:23Speaker 2: Jerry Jones was because they had him as a backup quarterback.
- 12:26Speaker 2: They told Mike McCarthy, Okay, guess what you're not calling
- 12:30Speaker 2: the places he is right, that's the real story, yep,
- 12:33Speaker 2: and it turned out to be a great decision. Jerry
- 12:36Speaker 2: Jones sometimes is buffoonish. There's a reason why they never
- 12:39Speaker 2: win anything. Quite frankly. Yes, thirty years yep, almost thirty
- 12:43Speaker 2: years in that neighborhood. But the bottom line is getting
- 12:46Speaker 2: back to Philly. Here, we're gonna see what it happens here.
- 12:49Speaker 3: They're gonna run.
- 12:50Speaker 2: We mentioned the last show is what I want to
- 12:51Speaker 2: say in closing here, we talked about it. They want
- 12:54Speaker 2: to run into West Coast offense. A true that's in
- 12:57Speaker 2: this case McVeigh. Now we'll look into because we we
- 13:02Speaker 2: looked into with Kellen Scott Lenihan's background and some of
- 13:06Speaker 2: his other influences.
- 13:07Speaker 1: Yep.
- 13:08Speaker 3: We'll look to see if there's anything else other than McVeigh. Here.
- 13:10Speaker 2: We'll see if there's any possibility. But you're going to
- 13:13Speaker 2: see motion here. I'm telling you that there's.
- 13:16Speaker 3: Now they do.
- 13:17Speaker 2: They've done basic motion. It's another well way more on this.
- 13:20Speaker 2: We got where we got. We have like a stack
- 13:23Speaker 2: of stuff we can't get to right now. This is
- 13:25Speaker 2: just a basic here's what we know, here's where it's at.
- 13:28Speaker 2: You should fans to feel excited but cautiously optimistic that
- 13:32Speaker 2: that's where I put it.
- 13:33Speaker 3: Hurts is hurts and Stout gotta get on the program.
- 13:36Speaker 1: Here.
- 13:37Speaker 2: This is the you gotta you gotta be Ford thinking,
- 13:41Speaker 2: and that's where I'm gonna leave it.
- 13:42Speaker 1: It's funny that you said that because I actually went
- 13:44Speaker 1: down on Oaklhollo, Oregon State coaching hole, because you know,
- 13:48Speaker 1: he played for Mike Riley, who was a defensive guy.
- 13:51Speaker 1: So I then had to go look and find which
- 13:52Speaker 1: offensive coordinators he played for and what kind of influences
- 13:57Speaker 1: I mean, not guys were in there like a danty
- 14:00Speaker 1: if there were, there were some names there that that
- 14:03Speaker 1: were not like kind of household NFL names. Okay, I
- 14:06Speaker 1: think you played with Brandon Cooks if I'm not mistaken.
- 14:09Speaker 1: They're the wide receiver.
- 14:11Speaker 3: So yes, he could, yeah, because they're you know what,
- 14:14Speaker 3: that would make sense. Cooks should be thirty two or thirty.
- 14:16Speaker 2: It seems like he's forty, but he's probably thirty two
- 14:18Speaker 2: or thirty three, and Mannion turns thirty four until it's
- 14:22Speaker 2: possible maybe a year or two.
- 14:23Speaker 3: It's possible. But anyway, LISTA, this is over, this is
- 14:27Speaker 3: this is done. I am. I am for someone who loves.
- 14:31Speaker 2: Going to training camps and all season program you know,
- 14:34Speaker 2: like you and I do to camps and stuff. I'm
- 14:36Speaker 2: so fascinating to see that a real West Coast McVeigh style.
- 14:40Speaker 3: No, it doesn't mean he's gonna run allf it. He
- 14:41Speaker 3: may run fifty percent of it.
- 14:43Speaker 2: No, it's gonna be different for the first time since
- 14:45Speaker 2: we've been here doing it in our nine years. Doug
- 14:49Speaker 2: run runs the West Coast, but nothing like this, right,
- 14:52Speaker 2: So I'm fascinated. I'm I'm I'm fascinated to see what
- 14:56Speaker 2: this is going to look like, just because we like there.
- 14:58Speaker 3: Are a lot of people watching this who love off
- 15:00Speaker 3: into football.
- 15:00Speaker 2: If you haven't seen great off into football a passing standpoint, yep,
- 15:04Speaker 2: let's see what happens here.
- 15:05Speaker 4: Hey, it's that time of the year that everyone's trying
- 15:08Speaker 4: to clean up their habits and that includes me. Honestly,
- 15:11Speaker 4: having one less drink is never felt easier. Instead of
- 15:15Speaker 4: pouring a cocktail, I just reach for souls out of
- 15:18Speaker 4: office drinks. It's the same relaxing vibe, but zero alcohol,
- 15:22Speaker 4: zero hangover. I still wake up feeling like a functional adult.
- 15:26Speaker 4: I can get to the gym, I can do whatever
- 15:28Speaker 4: I have to do throughout the day without feeling worn
- 15:30Speaker 4: down or dragged down. That alcohol can make you feel Soul.

- 18:18Speaker 1: made for Philly fans twenty one and up. Yeah, the
- 18:21Speaker 1: sarcastic Jeff Mosher heard what you said about let's see
- 18:24Speaker 1: if he actually went winds up running you know this that,
- 18:27Speaker 1: and the sarcastic Jeff Mosher said, yeah, let's see if
- 18:30Speaker 1: he does that and scraps it by week six, you know,
- 18:32Speaker 1: because we've seen that happen too.
- 18:34Speaker 3: So that's my question to be answered.
- 18:36Speaker 2: That was the point of the top is that it
- 18:39Speaker 2: sounds great, but until you get through install and teaching
- 18:46Speaker 2: and making like you're gonna run the verb systems West
- 18:49Speaker 2: Coast non West Coast is numbers, but Jenn's gotta be
- 18:55Speaker 2: comfort with it.
- 18:55Speaker 3: And I just I I.
- 18:59Speaker 2: Have to look back if I could find my notes
- 19:01Speaker 2: in the twenty four off season of what what I
- 19:03Speaker 2: observed and what just kind of computed what really means?
- 19:07Speaker 2: I just I really do want to see we're actually
- 19:10Speaker 2: gonna have crossers.
- 19:11Speaker 3: If A J.
- 19:12Speaker 2: Brown by I don't want to say miracles here, but
- 19:14Speaker 2: if A J. Brown's still here, Yeah, whoever the X
- 19:16Speaker 2: receiver is, you're gonna run slants?
- 19:21Speaker 1: Are you gonna run that motion and misdirection? Perhaps?
- 19:23Speaker 3: Yeah? Why zone? Maybe yet wde zone inside mid zone?
- 19:28Speaker 3: Kevin s Fancy's thing.
- 19:29Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, I don't know this is the cool
- 19:33Speaker 2: thing because it's not saying it's again he doesn't even
- 19:36Speaker 2: coach a game yet, so we don't know. But I
- 19:37Speaker 2: remember when Chip Kelly came in here in twenty thirteen.
- 19:40Speaker 2: I don't have because just because you love the innovation
- 19:43Speaker 2: and you love it, did wind up not working past
- 19:46Speaker 2: one season for Chip. Really the league figured it out,
- 19:48Speaker 2: but the anticipation of it, I'm I'm that's the anticipation
- 19:52Speaker 2: of what Manu is going to bring.
- 19:53Speaker 3: We think it's going to be heavy McVeigh. Okay, other
- 19:56Speaker 3: influences maybe too. And you know when we see in.
- 20:01Speaker 2: Training camp, we would get me food again, right, I
- 20:03Speaker 2: don't know, can't answer that, but I'm looking forward to it.
- 20:06Speaker 3: We'll see what happens.
- 20:07Speaker 1: Certainly, I'll leave it on this. I think you said
- 20:10Speaker 1: something like they better be right, and you're right because
- 20:12Speaker 1: they turned down two guys who have been in the seat,
- 20:15Speaker 1: who have been play callers, Grizzard and and JBC as
- 20:20Speaker 1: I can call him, Jim Bob Coruder. You know, so
- 20:22Speaker 1: they went with a guy far less experience.
- 20:25Speaker 3: Good, you know what?
- 20:26Speaker 1: No, no, yeah, I agree, good, but they better be right.
- 20:29Speaker 2: It's hard West Coast, by the way. But you know what,
- 20:32Speaker 2: Jim Bob Cooter, I've heard some really good things. I
- 20:35Speaker 2: checked a little bit mourned to him this past week.
- 20:38Speaker 2: But man, just I'm so glad Sirrina's average comfort zone
- 20:42Speaker 2: with this. This is a true Timmy based offense. It's
- 20:45Speaker 2: not as as Shanahan. That's about as old school timing
- 20:48Speaker 2: as it gets with anticipation. But I just we'll see
- 20:53Speaker 2: and folks, be patient. When you see the reports from
- 20:56Speaker 2: the reporters that OTAs when the timing's off, relax, just relax.
- 21:01Speaker 3: Okay.
- 21:02Speaker 2: It said the same thing when he didn't look good
- 21:04Speaker 2: in the twenty four off season with the Kelli Moore,
- 21:08Speaker 2: Just relax. It coulda take some time. So I'm intrigued
- 21:12Speaker 2: by this thing. You know, who the hell knows what
- 21:13Speaker 2: it's gonna turn out, But.
- 21:15Speaker 1: Just you and I right team content. This is gonna
- 21:18Speaker 1: be great. Ye wait, it's gonna be awesome to really
- 21:21Speaker 1: dig into it, all right, So that'll be good. We'll
- 21:23Speaker 1: have more. Obviously, there might be some changes obviously when
- 21:25Speaker 1: a new guy comes in. Sometimes you see, yeah, dangels
- 21:27Speaker 1: on the coaching staff will update you if that's going
- 21:30Speaker 1: to be the case. And that's gonna do it for
- 21:33Speaker 1: Emergency Inside the Birds. The Eagles do hire an offensive
- 21:37Speaker 1: coordinator and the Sean Manion era has begun in Philadelphia. Y.
- 21:41Speaker 1: That's gonna do it for Jeff Mosher and Adam Kaplan.
- 21:44Speaker 1: Thanks for watching Inside the Birds Emergency Pod.
