- 0:00Speaker 1: Come on your uh huh, I sure will. Good morning
- 0:05Speaker 1: everybody you are listening to the voice, Come on dig
- 0:09Speaker 1: me now, one and only Steve Harvey got a radio show.
- 0:14Speaker 1: Man o, man o, man, I just I have to
- 0:19Speaker 1: tell you this. How good is the God I serve?
- 0:26Speaker 1: How amazing is he? That's that's all I you know.
- 0:31Speaker 1: And you know what, really, man, when I try to
- 0:33Speaker 1: explain how I feel about what he does for me, really,
- 0:38Speaker 1: the words that I come up with that they just
- 0:41Speaker 1: they they inadequate. Man, They don't they don't cut it.
- 0:43Speaker 1: They really don't. You know. I could say amazing. At
- 0:47Speaker 1: one time. I even just got that. I tried something
- 0:49Speaker 1: real ignorant. One time. I just said, you know, God
- 0:52Speaker 1: is just super captual, fragilistic as be all adocious. I
- 0:55Speaker 1: just tried that. See how that felt. That's that's all
- 0:58Speaker 1: to change is with me. I just try to because
- 1:00Speaker 1: see how that felt. But then I ain't feel right
- 1:02Speaker 1: saying that the fact that he's amazing and awesome and
- 1:06Speaker 1: he's an awesome god. You hear people say that is
- 1:09Speaker 1: bigger than that too. Man. So you know, as hard
- 1:13Speaker 1: as I try, no matter what I do every day,
- 1:15Speaker 1: I'm gonna come up short with trying to explain to
- 1:17Speaker 1: you exactly how he works and how he is for me.
- 1:21Speaker 1: So I just thank him that every day, every chance
- 1:23Speaker 1: I get here, it is it is your determination and
- 1:30Speaker 1: your effort. Listen to me carefully. It is your determination
- 1:38Speaker 1: and your effort. I think that the average person, and
- 1:43Speaker 1: I'm not knocking you, I just want you to hear
- 1:45Speaker 1: me out. I think what stops the average person from
- 1:48Speaker 1: becoming successful is that we don't realize the effort that
- 1:53Speaker 1: it takes. And that's just truth. I found that to
- 1:58Speaker 1: be so true in my life and my talking to
- 2:01Speaker 1: people and meeting people, and people are asking me questions
- 2:04Speaker 1: about it and me trying to figure out the way myself.
- 2:08Speaker 1: I don't think that you really can comprehend the effort
- 2:13Speaker 1: that it takes to become successful. This is the thing
- 2:17Speaker 1: that you have to wrap your mind around very quickly
- 2:20Speaker 1: if you want to be successful on any level in
- 2:23Speaker 1: any area. The dream is the beginning. Good Lord, let
- 2:28Speaker 1: me tell you something. The determination and effort is massive.
- 2:33Speaker 1: You cannot be overly concerned with sleep. If you are
- 2:40Speaker 1: a person who is always concerned about sleep, gets success
- 2:44Speaker 1: out your mind. Ain't finna happen? Partner is not finn happen.
- 2:48Speaker 1: You cannot be that concerned about sleep. Now, listen to me.
- 2:53Speaker 1: You have to get your rest. But this was my philosophy.
- 2:58Speaker 1: I'm just sharing you with what how I did it.
- 3:01Speaker 1: My philosophy was I stopped being concerned about sleep. I
- 3:08Speaker 1: got my rest, but I got just enough to get
- 3:13Speaker 1: back to it, and I got back on the grind
- 3:15Speaker 1: to hop in the hustle. I got just enough rest
- 3:20Speaker 1: so I could go and put forth some more effort.
- 3:24Speaker 1: But listen to me, you cannot sleep a third of
- 3:28Speaker 1: your life away and expect to become successful if you're
- 3:31Speaker 1: not already successful. If you are asleep for eight hours,
- 3:35Speaker 1: that is a third of your day. You cannot be
- 3:38Speaker 1: asleep a third of your life and expect to get successful. Now,
- 3:42Speaker 1: after you get successful, you know, you learn as you
- 3:47Speaker 1: go to work smarter, not harder. So as you get successful,
- 3:52Speaker 1: you may have eight hours available to you. But on
- 3:55Speaker 1: the way up there, I don't see how you can
- 3:56Speaker 1: do it. I promise you. I don't. Now, maybe somebody
- 3:59Speaker 1: can come forward. I did it. He probably lying, But okay,
- 4:03Speaker 1: tell your story, because everybody I know that's successful that
- 4:09Speaker 1: I've sat down and had real talks with They wasn't
- 4:12Speaker 1: concerned with sleeping. You cannot be concerned with sleeping. If
- 4:18Speaker 1: you want to be successful. How can this happen for you?
- 4:22Speaker 1: Listen to me. The effort that it requires is massive.
- 4:26Speaker 1: It's an all out of salt on your dream. Now
- 4:28Speaker 1: you got to make an assault. It requires an all
- 4:32Speaker 1: out of salt on it. And you can't be sleeping
- 4:35Speaker 1: fight at the same time. You can't fight when you sleep. Man,
- 4:39Speaker 1: I wish I could get y'all understand this right here.
- 4:42Speaker 1: Understand that the effort that is required to be successful
- 4:45Speaker 1: will take everything you have, and when you think you've
- 4:49Speaker 1: given your all, it's gonna require some more. The quality
- 4:54Speaker 1: of your chield is amazing. See okay, listen, what is
- 4:59Speaker 1: it a round? Having a beer every day? For? What? What?
- 5:03Speaker 1: They're sitting around smoking weed for every day? For Come on, man,
- 5:07Speaker 1: for real. But if you took that beer, drinking weeds,
- 5:12Speaker 1: smoking chill time and applied it to progressing yourself towards
- 5:17Speaker 1: your dream. When you do carve out a vacation, guess
- 5:21Speaker 1: where you be able to go. Guess what part of
- 5:24Speaker 1: the world you can go. See guess how you can
- 5:26Speaker 1: cheer up now instead of you just driving every year
- 5:29Speaker 1: your family to the family union, sit at the same
- 5:32Speaker 1: picnic table. Everybody pull they money in. Two and ten
- 5:35Speaker 1: families don't never pooll they money in. They down there
- 5:38Speaker 1: eating like y'all eating. You got attitude cause cause the
- 5:41Speaker 1: day or day side don't have a chip in or not.
- 5:44Speaker 1: They down there eating the extra potatoes at and making place.
- 5:46Speaker 1: You're not arguing about this every year for real, man,
- 5:50Speaker 1: they ain't got the T shirt money. You know, they
- 5:53Speaker 1: got the same T shirt on. They ain't put in
- 5:55Speaker 1: that really, man, so so so so so you want
- 5:58Speaker 1: that to be it every year? Or do you want
- 6:01Speaker 1: this year I'm taking my family to New Orleans, or
- 6:05Speaker 1: I'm taking my family see the Grand Canyon. I'm taking
- 6:08Speaker 1: my family down to the beach this year. Me, me
- 6:11Speaker 1: and my family gonna go sight see. We're gonna go
- 6:13Speaker 1: ride a couple of river on Chicago. Me and my
- 6:16Speaker 1: family gonna go skiing. This year. Me and me and
- 6:18Speaker 1: my family going out to La Man. We go. We're
- 6:20Speaker 1: gonna go out there for the weekend. You know, you
- 6:23Speaker 1: know it can happen like that. But if you ain't working,
- 6:28Speaker 1: listen to me, average effort gets average results. That's that's
- 6:36Speaker 1: all it is to it. See, ordinary effort gets ordinary results.
- 6:45Speaker 1: But if you put forth an extra effort, See, the
- 6:50Speaker 1: only difference between extraordinary and ordinary is one word, that's extra.
- 6:54Speaker 1: If you do extra, you can take ordinary right on
- 6:58Speaker 1: over to extraordinary. Do you understand you have to have
- 7:02Speaker 1: a massive assault on your dreams? Quit sitting up in here, man,
- 7:05Speaker 1: trying to chill all the time. I'm sorry, man, I
- 7:08Speaker 1: wish I could tell you another way, but it ain't one.
- 7:11Speaker 1: Here's what I did. I wasn't concerned about how much
- 7:15Speaker 1: sleep I got. I just had to get my rest.
- 7:18Speaker 1: And once I got enough rest to get up and
- 7:21Speaker 1: get the task done, I got up. Somebody sent me
- 7:25Speaker 1: a tweet the other day, a partner of mine. He said,
- 7:31Speaker 1: someone to see if I can pull it up while
- 7:32Speaker 1: I'm talking to you. But he just sent me a
- 7:34Speaker 1: little sign, just what, nothing, just a little something to say,
- 7:37Speaker 1: Hey man, I ran across this, I thought about you,
- 7:40Speaker 1: and I sent it to you. It said no alarm
- 7:43Speaker 1: clock needed, My passion wakes me. It's in block print.
- 7:51Speaker 1: He said, no alarm clock needed, My passion wakes me.
- 7:58Speaker 1: That's what you got to be about me to the
- 8:00Speaker 1: Steve Harvey morning show,
