- 0:01Hello. Welcome to the No God Coach
- 0:02Huddle for December 23, 2025. Your
- 0:07two-minute play of the day from God's
- 0:09playbook to know him better so we can
- 0:11love and obey him more. So, let's hear
- 0:13today's play from Zechariah 1. This is
- 0:16what the Lord says. I will return to
- 0:18Jerusalem with mercy and there my house
- 0:21will be rebuilt. The measuring line will
- 0:23be stretched out over Jerusalem,
- 0:25declares the Lord Almighty. Proclaim
- 0:28further. This is what the Lord Almighty
- 0:30says. My towns will again overflow with
- 0:32prosperity and the Lord will again
- 0:35comfort Zion and choose Jerusalem.
- 0:39Let me ask you a simple question to
- 0:41start today. What are you building your
- 0:43life around? Most of us are builders by
- 0:45nature. We build careers. We build
- 0:47families. We build plans for provision,
- 0:50security, and success. But scripture
- 0:52forces us to step back and ask a deeper
- 0:55question. What is God building? Listen
- 0:57to these words from Zechariah 1 16-1 17.
- 1:01I will return to Jerusalem with mercy
- 1:04and there my house will be rebuilt. My
- 1:07towns will again overflow with
- 1:09prosperity and the Lord will again
- 1:11comfort Zion and choose Jerusalem. God
- 1:15is declaring that he has chosen
- 1:16Jerusalem not just as a city but as the
- 1:20center of his redemptive plan. And
- 1:22here's what we need to understand. This
- 1:24promise doesn't stop in the Old
- 1:26Testament. The Bible ends with a vision
- 1:29of a new Jerusalem coming down from
- 1:31heaven where God will dwell with his
- 1:33people forever. On that throne sits
- 1:36Jesus Christ, King of Kings and Lord of
- 1:39Lords. This isn't about modern politics
- 1:41or geography. The Jerusalem we see today
- 1:44will pass away with this world. God's
- 1:47preparing a new earth and a new
- 1:49Jerusalem where righteousness dwells.
- 1:52And that raises a sobering question for
- 1:54every man listening. Only those who
- 1:57belong to Jesus belong to that city. How
- 2:00about you? God is creator of all people.
- 2:03But Jesus is savior to only those who
- 2:06trust him. God began his redemptive work
- 2:09through Abraham. Jesus fulfilled it
- 2:11through his life, death, and
- 2:13resurrection in Jerusalem. And he will
- 2:15complete it when he returns to reign and
- 2:17renew all things. Until then, every man
- 2:21lives between two cities, one temporary,
- 2:23fragile, and fading. the other eternal,
- 2:26secure, and coming. Where your hope is
- 2:29placed determines how you live today. If
- 2:32your priorities are shaped only by this
- 2:34world, you'll live under constant
- 2:36pressure, fear of loss, fear of failure,
- 2:38and fear of not having enough. But if
- 2:41your life is anchored to the coming
- 2:42kingdom, obedience becomes clearer,
- 2:45endurance becomes stronger, and purpose
- 2:48becomes deeper. Jesus isn't just your
- 2:51savior. He is your king. Lift your eyes
- 2:54beyond what you're building and ask God,
- 2:57what is he building in you? Run today's
- 3:00play. Live like a man who belongs to the
- 3:02coming city. Serve the true king and
- 3:06build that which will last forever. If
- 3:08this huddle helps you to know God better
- 3:10so you can love and obey him more, leave
- 3:12a quick review. It helps other men find
- 3:15their way into the huddle.
