A Fourth of July trip to Hollywood, Florida, turned deadly when a dispute between friends erupted into a fatal shooting. Two 21-year-olds from North Carolina arrived for the holiday, but before dawn on July 4, one friend, Devian Blount, allegedly pulled a gun and fired multiple shots at Jaydon Williams, hitting him in the arm, elbow, and chest. Williams died at the hospital shortly after 2 a.m. Prosecutors charge Blount with first-degree murder, claiming the shooting was premeditated. He’s been arrested and jailed without bond.
