Speaker 1: What prompted you to take military off the table for Greenland.
• 0:05
Speaker 2: We'll we'll see what happened if the military is not
• 0:07
Speaker 2: on the table. So I don't think it'll be necessary,
• 0:10
Speaker 2: I really do. I think people are going to use
• 0:13
Speaker 2: better judgment. They'll use their best judgment, and I don't
• 0:17
Speaker 2: think that will not do this.
• 0:19
Speaker 3: If you're listening to the forty seven Morning Update with
• 0:22
  Speaker 3: Ben ferguson.
• 0:22
Speaker 4: Good Thursday morning, Nice to have you with us on
• 0:25
Speaker 4: the forty seven Morning Update, and we've got one big story,
• 0:28
Speaker 4: Donald Trump and Davos doing exactly what the media said
• 0:32
Speaker 4: was impossible get a deal done over Greenland. They said
• 0:36
Speaker 4: he was going to start or three, he was going
• 0:38
Speaker 4: to invade, killing us in people, and that these sanctions
• 0:42
Speaker 4: were going to destroy the economy. Well, guess what sanctions
• 0:46
Speaker 4: are off the table. A deal has been done that
• 0:48
Speaker 4: the President says will be for forever. So will they
• 0:52
Speaker 4: correct the record. We've got all of what they had
• 0:55
Speaker 4: to say, and we called them out. It's the forty
• 0:58
Speaker 4: seven Morning Update and it starts right now.
• 1:01
  Speaker 3: Story number one.
• 1:02
Speaker 4: President Donald Trump has announced there is a deal. Yes.
• 1:06
Speaker 4: The Democratic Party and the media claiming that Donald Trump
• 1:10
Speaker 4: was going to invade Greenland, go to war, and just
• 1:13
Speaker 4: start killing innocent people. Yeah, they were lying to you.
• 1:16
Speaker 4: It was not actually on the table. And this is
• 1:19
Speaker 4: exactly what they do every time they have a chance.
• 1:23
Speaker 4: So what actually happened, Well, the framework for a future
• 1:26
Speaker 4: Greenland Arctic deal has been reached, something democrats and the
• 1:30
Speaker 4: media also said was not going to happen. This week,
• 1:33
Speaker 4: President Trump announced it after a very quote unquote productive
• 1:37
Speaker 4: discussion with NATO Secretary General, and the US and NATO
• 1:42
Speaker 4: allies have agreed on a framework for a future deal
• 1:46
Speaker 4: relate to Greenland and the broader Arctic region. Trump described
• 1:50
Speaker 4: this framework as something that could be a great one
• 1:54
Speaker 4: for the United States of America and all NATO nations
• 1:58
Speaker 4: if it is successfully final. Guy, the President, talking about
• 2:02
Speaker 4: this deal with CNBC, had this to say, Well, we.
• 2:06
Speaker 5: Have a concept of a deal.
• 2:07
Speaker 6: I think it's going to be a very good deal
• 2:09
Speaker 6: for the United States also for them, and we're going
• 2:12
Speaker 6: to work together on something having to do with the
• 2:14
Speaker 6: Arctic as a whole, but also Quenland, and it has
• 2:18
Speaker 6: to do with the security, great security, strong security, and
• 2:22
  Speaker 6: other things.
• 2:23
Speaker 7: The market six hundred points, getting back a lot of
• 2:27
Speaker 7: some of the nervousness we had in the last couple
• 2:29
Speaker 7: of days. The tariffs are off. Nothing happens on February first.
• 2:32
Speaker 6: No, we took that off because it looks like we
• 2:34
Speaker 6: have pretty much the concept of a deal.
• 2:37
Speaker 7: A deal of ownership, a deal.
• 2:39
  Speaker 5: Well it's a.
• 2:40
Speaker 6: Little bit complex, but we'll explained down the line. But
• 2:43
Speaker 6: the Secretary General of NATO and I and some other
• 2:47
Speaker 6: people were talking and it's the kind of a deal
• 2:50
Speaker 6: that I wanted to be able to.
• 2:51
Speaker 7: Where does Denmark did they weigh in on what they want,
• 2:55
Speaker 7: what they would agree to?
• 2:56
Speaker 6: Well, I assume they did, because he very much represents
• 3:00
Speaker 6: he's a strong leader. Mark you know, Mark Mutah and
• 3:03
Speaker 6: he I assume he's been speaking to them. He's been
• 3:06
Speaker 6: speaking to all of them.
• 3:07
Speaker 7: Are mineral rights involved in his ownership involved in the
• 3:11
  Speaker 7: Golden Domes people?
• 3:13
Speaker 6: I don't want to say yet, but.
• 3:14
Speaker 7: The gold Dome was very compelling today when you talked about, yeah.
• 3:17
Speaker 6: The Golden Dome and they're going to be involved in
• 3:20
Speaker 6: the Golden Dome and they're going to be involved in
• 3:22
Speaker 6: mineral rights, and so are.
• 3:24
Speaker 7: We is You can't it's not specific enough to know
• 3:28
Speaker 7: at this point how long this lasts, how whether it's
• 3:31
Speaker 7: forever forever. It'll be forever for Greenland at this point, forever.
• 3:38
Speaker 7: That's staggering there. It's better than this is this is
• 3:41
Speaker 7: what two hours after.
• 3:42
Speaker 6: It's better than the Obama deal with the famous around
• 3:47
Speaker 6: nuclear deal with a nine year with a nine year deal.
• 3:51
Speaker 4: Now this is forever forever, which is exactly what the
• 3:55
Speaker 4: President United States of America wanted to accomplish. Why, because
• 3:59
Speaker 4: Russia and China were clearly looking at doing the exact
• 4:03
Speaker 4: same thing. They wanted to have the reach to be
• 4:05
Speaker 4: able to come after the United States of America. China
• 4:08
Speaker 4: had publicly said back in two thousand and nine and
• 4:11
Speaker 4: again in twenty sixteen, very clearly that they wanted to
• 4:15
Speaker 4: have dominance in the Arctic. Now President Trump confirming the
• 4:19
Speaker 4: deal he's reached with Europe isn't only Greenland, it's the
• 4:24
Speaker 4: entire Arctic. Trump's about to go down in history books
• 4:27
Speaker 4: as squashing our advisaries and most importantly their Arctic influence
• 4:33
Speaker 4: and the race to make sure that America is always safe. Now,
• 4:37
Speaker 4: you also heard the President there talk about tariffs, and
• 4:40
Speaker 4: those threats have been withdrawn. Something the media again was
• 4:44
Speaker 4: losing their minds over the last twenty four hours. And
• 4:47
Speaker 4: that's just part of the positive outcome from these negotiations.
• 4:51
Speaker 4: Donald Trump canceling the threat of imposing new tariffs on
• 4:54
Speaker 4: several European allies that had opposed as previous Greenland approach.
• 4:59
Speaker 4: This moved ease the economic tensions with key NATO partners
• 5:03
Speaker 4: and removed the possibility of a near term trade confrontation
• 5:08
Speaker 4: tied specifically to the Greenland issue. Again, that's exactly why
• 5:13
Speaker 4: the President was using these tariffs as a real threat.
• 5:16
Speaker 4: And then military force, something at the media lied about.
• 5:21
Speaker 4: Well guess what it has been explicitly ruled out. In
• 5:24
Speaker 4: his address, Donald Trump made it clear that the US
• 5:28
Speaker 4: would not use military force to acquire Greenland, an announcement
• 5:32
Speaker 4: that helped reassure international audiences the diplomacy, not aggression is
• 5:38
Speaker 4: the path forward and the Trump doctrine. Take a listen
• 5:42
Speaker 4: to President Trump at the World Economic Forum and Davos
• 5:45
Speaker 4: and what he had to say when he was asked
• 5:47
Speaker 4: about taking the military action off the table.
• 5:52
Speaker 1: What prompted you to take military off the table for Greenland?
• 6:00
  Speaker 2: So I don't think it'll be necessary, I really don't.
• 6:04
Speaker 2: I think people are going to use better judgment, use
• 6:07
Speaker 2: their best judgment, and I don't think that will not
• 6:11
  Speaker 2: be necessary.
• 6:13
Speaker 4: That will not be necessary. This killing the conspiracy theory
• 6:18
Speaker 4: by the radical left and also the media that Donald
• 6:22
Speaker 4: Trump was going to invade a nation and he was
• 6:27
Speaker 4: going to kill a bunch of innocent people. So let's
• 6:31
Speaker 4: go back to the very beginning. Donald Trump said he
• 6:34
Speaker 4: was going to keep America safe. He wanted to make
• 6:37
Speaker 4: sure that we kept Russia and China out of the Arctic.
• 6:41
Speaker 4: Trump emphasized that his negotiations and meetings at the World
• 6:45
Speaker 4: Economic Forum in Davos were constructive.
• 6:48
  Speaker 5: He said.
• 6:48
Speaker 4: Officials highlight that continued talks with NATO and Greenland's partners
• 6:53
Speaker 4: would focus on peaceful cooperation, the exact opposite of what
• 6:57
Speaker 4: the media was reporting. And then this was even bigger
• 7:01
Speaker 4: than Greenland. It was a broader Arctic cooperation. While specifics
• 7:06
Speaker 4: are still being worked out, the White House said it
• 7:09
Speaker 4: was clear the present framed the discussions as involving Arctic
• 7:12
Speaker 4: security and strategic collaboration, with potential benefits for all involved
• 7:18
Speaker 4: countries if implemented respectfully. So today's developments are truly historic.
• 7:25
Speaker 4: They're centered on Trump securing a negotiation framework with NATO allies,
• 7:30
Speaker 4: something that the media said was not possible, stepping back
• 7:34
Speaker 4: from the tariff threats, using it as leveraged to get
• 7:37
Speaker 4: the deal done, something that of course the media lied
• 7:39
Speaker 4: about as well, and reaffirming a non military diplomatic approach
• 7:44
Speaker 4: towards Greenland. Again the laft of the media said it
• 7:48
Speaker 4: was going to be World War III. This represents a
• 7:51
Speaker 4: shift towards cooperative dialogue on Arctic issues and, as they
• 7:57
Speaker 4: said at the meeting, de escalation of the recent tension
• 8:00
Speaker 4: surrounding the entire topic. Now, this is exactly why Donald
• 8:05
Speaker 4: Trump is so good at getting these deals done. He
• 8:08
Speaker 4: shows strength and then he gets the deal done when
• 8:11
Speaker 4: the best interests of the United States of America, now
• 8:15
Speaker 4: the present isn't done there. Donald Trump is saying it's
• 8:20
Speaker 4: time to get rid of the UN in many ways,
• 8:22
Speaker 4: even some of what NATO is doing. President Trump in
• 8:26
Speaker 4: Switzerland saying this about what he wants to create. He
• 8:30
Speaker 4: wants to create something that's a little bit different, a
• 8:33
Speaker 4: Board of Peace. And of course the media losing their
• 8:36
Speaker 4: minds over this new idea from President Trump.
• 8:40
Speaker 5: Everybody wants to be on it, but yeah, I have
• 8:43
Speaker 5: some controversial people on it. But these are people that
• 8:45
Speaker 5: get the job done. These are people that have tremendous influence,
• 8:48
Speaker 5: and I put all babies on the board, it wouldn't
• 8:52
Speaker 5: be very much. So he was invited. He's accepted. Many
• 8:57
Speaker 5: people have accepted. I think I don't know of anybody
• 8:59
Speaker 5: that hasn't. But it's gonna be great. I think the
• 9:02
Speaker 5: Border piece will be the most prestigious board ever and
• 9:04
Speaker 5: it's gonna get a lot of work done that the
• 9:06
Speaker 5: United Nations should have done. And we'll work with the
• 9:09
Speaker 5: United Nations. But the border piece is going to be special.
• 9:11
Speaker 5: We're gonna have peace. It started off with Gaza the
• 9:14
Speaker 5: Middle East. We've got peace in the Middle East. Tremendous
• 9:17
Speaker 5: piece in the Middle East. Nobody thought that was possible,
• 9:19
Speaker 5: and that happened by taking out the Iran nuclear threat.
• 9:23
Speaker 5: Without that, it could have never happened. But the border
• 9:26
Speaker 5: is going to be I think, really fantastic and I
• 9:29
Speaker 5: think it'll be the most prestigious board of any board
• 9:31
Speaker 5: ever in world history.
• 9:33
Speaker 1: Thank you very much.
• 9:34
Speaker 4: You hear the President there talking about this, and again,
• 9:38
Speaker 4: why are so many people upset about it on the left.
• 9:41
Speaker 4: It's really for one simple reason. They're no longer in control.
• 9:46
Speaker 4: The United Nations is all about anarchy and chaos and
• 9:50
Speaker 4: protecting the bad guys. If you don't believe me, just
• 9:53
Speaker 4: look at all of the cases where the United Nations
• 9:57
Speaker 4: has done a horrific job of detecting innocent people. A
• 10:02
Speaker 4: perfect example of why the President's going to put together
• 10:05
Speaker 4: this Board of Peace is because the Security Council the
• 10:08
Speaker 4: UN is basically effeckless. They have veto power that protects
• 10:13
Speaker 4: bad actors. Authoritarian regimes sit on UN councils that are
• 10:18
Speaker 4: actually meant to police human rights. And if you don't
• 10:21
Speaker 4: believe me, let me just give you some of the
• 10:24
Speaker 4: basics of how big of a failure the United Nations
• 10:27
Speaker 4: has been. Look at the Rwanda genocide back in ninety four.
• 10:32
Speaker 4: You had more than eight hundred thousand that were slaughtered
• 10:35
Speaker 4: in one hundred days. What was the UN's response. UN
• 10:40
Speaker 4: peacekeepers were actually reduced, not reinforced, after the killings began.
• 10:47
Speaker 4: Repeated warnings from UN Commander General were ignored, and the
• 10:52
Speaker 4: aftermath was very clear. The UN even later formally admitted failure.
• 10:58
Speaker 4: But it's a clear examit sample of a catastrophic in
• 11:02
Speaker 4: action by the UN. Look at China twenty seventeen to
• 11:06
Speaker 4: right now, more than one million Muslims have been detained,
• 11:12
Speaker 4: forced into labor, and have had family separations. Years of
• 11:17
Speaker 4: delay by the UN before issuing a mild human rights
• 11:22
Speaker 4: assessment in twenty twenty two. But what have they done
• 11:25
Speaker 4: towards China? Nothing, no sanctions and no binding resolutions. China
• 11:31
Speaker 4: Security Council power and economic leverage have muted all actions
• 11:36
Speaker 4: in essence from the United Nations. Look at Syria and
• 11:40
Speaker 4: the Assad regime in the atrocities from twenty eleven until
• 11:44
Speaker 4: he was finally forced out. You had chemical weapons that
• 11:48
Speaker 4: were used, mass civilian killings, torture in prisons, and what
• 11:53
Speaker 4: was the UN's response. Dozens of Russian and Chinese vetos
• 11:58
Speaker 4: blocked all accountability investigations. Even acknowledged crimes were committed, but
• 12:05
Speaker 4: there was no enforcement. The UN paralysis when a permanent
• 12:09
Speaker 4: Security Council member protects an ally a bad actor happens
• 12:13
Speaker 4: almost every time. Look at Mirmar and the ethnic cleansing
• 12:17
Speaker 4: there that happened from twenty sixteen to twenty eighteen. You
• 12:21
Speaker 4: had mass killings, rape, villages that were burned. More than
• 12:24
Speaker 4: eight hundred thousand refugees fled to Bangladesh. What was the
• 12:28
Speaker 4: UN's response, strong support in a report after the fact,
• 12:35
Speaker 4: but no prevention and minimal consequences for those involved. Look
• 12:40
Speaker 4: at Iran and the protest crackdowns, not just now, but
• 12:44
Speaker 4: in two thousand and nine, in twenty nineteen, in twenty
• 12:47
Speaker 4: twenty two, and now protesters killed, tortured, the internet shut down,
• 12:53
Speaker 4: and what was the UN's response each and every time, Well,
• 12:57
Speaker 4: barely even a statement fact finding mission with no decisive
• 13:02
Speaker 4: action afterwards. Iran continues to hold seats on the UN bodies.
• 13:08
Speaker 4: This is another example of just how ineffective the United
• 13:12
Speaker 4: Nations is. Look at Sudan and the Darfur genocide that
• 13:17
Speaker 4: started in two thousand and three is going on right now.
• 13:20
Speaker 4: Mass killings, ethnic cleansing by the militias, the UN's response,
• 13:26
Speaker 4: years of debate before deploying peacemakers or peacekeepers as they
• 13:30
Speaker 4: call them, and then you had weak mandates and poor enforcement.
• 13:35
Speaker 4: Again corruption. Now you look at all of that at
• 13:38
Speaker 4: in Venezuela and then look at what happened in the
• 13:41
Speaker 4: Middle East. One other thing that people don't like to
• 13:44
Speaker 4: talk about is the Hamas operatives that actually infiltrated dozens
• 13:50
Speaker 4: of UN affiliated A groups in Gazap between twenty eighteen
• 13:54
Speaker 4: and twenty twenty two, they embedded personnel into senior positions
• 13:58
Speaker 4: to direct humanity operations on the ground and ensure that
• 14:03
Speaker 4: the groups served hamas the terrorist organization's interests, and internal
• 14:09
Speaker 4: security documents even uncovered all of this by Israeli forces,
• 14:13
Speaker 4: where the UN do not a damn thing. So here
• 14:17
Speaker 4: we are with the president that is saying couple of
• 14:19
Speaker 4: different things. One, I'm going to keep America safe at
• 14:22
Speaker 4: all costs and that includes dealing with the Arctic. And
• 14:27
Speaker 4: I'm gonna put together a good group of people for
• 14:30
Speaker 4: peace in the world because the United Nations is well worthless.
