- 0:00Welcome to Pick Up and Deliver, the podcast where I pick up my audio recorder as I head
- 0:06out for a walk and deliver an episode to you while I stroll around.
- 0:10I'm Brendan Riley.
- 0:12[music]
- 0:22Well good afternoon.
- 0:23It is a cool day here in suburban Chicago.
- 0:27My Google Home Hub said 50 degrees, but it feels like 40, maybe 45, perhaps, but it's
- 0:33chilly.
- 0:34It is cloudy.
- 0:35It's that sort of slate gray washed look in the sky.
- 0:40There's a cool breeze.
- 0:42Not the best day to be out, but it's a fun day to talk to you about games.
- 0:45So that's what I'm doing.
- 0:47I was looking back at the games I played in the last few months and games I've talked
- 0:51about.
- 0:52And I realized that in the current pattern of the way that I talk about the games I've played,
- 0:56I give you the overview once a month.
- 0:58And then as I play new games, I talk about those in board game espresso episodes, and
- 1:03I talk about games I've dusted off one at a time during those board game espresso episodes.
- 1:09But the reality is I dust off a lot more games than I play new ones, or at least almost
- 1:14the same.
- 1:15So one of the things that happens is over time, since I'm doing three new games, one dusty
- 1:20game, I discovered there's a big backlog of dusty games I haven't mentioned on the pod,
- 1:25but I've played them.
- 1:26So this felt like an opportune time to do a emptying the dust bin.
- 1:31The new segment I'm trying in which I look back.
- 1:35I think I'll probably do this quarterly.
- 1:37I'll look back at the games that are in the out of the dust category that I have played,
- 1:45but not talked about here on the pod from the last three months.
- 1:49So looking at November, December, January, there are a bunch of games that I played that
- 1:54and I dusted off, but I never talked about on the pod or I talked about like only obliquely.
- 1:59They did not get a share of a board game espresso episode.
- 2:02So today, this episode, I'm going to be covering them.
- 2:05I'm going to kind of go roughly in the order that I played them, and we'll cover as many
- 2:09as we can in the time I have.
- 2:13This episode might be a little longer than usual, I think, unless it goes super fast, I'm probably
- 2:16going to record this episode on the way to and from the library.
- 2:20So it might be a little bit, might be a little bit longer than some of our others, but
- 2:23it won't be outrageous.
- 2:24So here we go.
- 2:25So first one, this is a game that was more than 10 years dusty.
- 2:29I can't, I literally can't remember the last time I played it.
- 2:32Now I feel like I did talk about this on the pod.
- 2:34Well, I'll cut this part out if I did.
- 2:36And this is Rummy.
- 2:37Rummy is a classic card game, of course.
- 2:40From it, we have games like Gin Rummy, and later, Rummikub, which is actually probably
- 2:45the way that I played Rummy the most.
- 2:47Basically, when I played Rummy, I'm like, oh, this is like playing Rummikub with cards,
- 2:50even though no, Rummy was first.
- 2:52I actually prefer Gin to Rummy or Gin Rummy because I like the elegance and difficulty of
- 3:00trying to hold the sets in your hand and having to make that decision about whether to dump
- 3:05the card or go for what's in the stack, whereas Rummy, you're sort of laying sets out on
- 3:10the table and you can manipulate other people's sets and do all the stuff you can do with
- 3:14Rummikub.
- 3:15But I hadn't played this game in years, and it's got to be more than 10 years.
- 3:18It's definitely longer than I've been tracking games.
- 3:21And so I just said more than 10 years, for sure.
- 3:24I don't remember, for sure, the last time I played it, but if I had to ballpark in five-year
- 3:28chunks, I would have said between 10 and 15 years ago, it was probably the last time I played
- 3:32Rummy.
- 3:33So, more than 10 years dusty.
- 3:34That was a good time.
- 3:35I played with a couple of students from my board game club, and we had a good time.
- 3:39I mean, it's a solid game.
- 3:41There's a reason it's still around.
- 3:43Like I said, I prefer the Rummikub version.
- 3:45I just like playing with the tiles better.
- 3:47And doing stuff with cards, I like a tick-taking game with cards more than whatever it is you're
- 3:52doing in Rummy.
- 3:53Yeah, as far as classic games go, not bad.
- 3:56I got to play Dixit Journey, and it had been two years and 25 days since last time I played
- 4:00that.
- 4:01Dixit is a classic game of a certain type.
- 4:04I think it, for me, it's been overshadowed by Mysterium at this point.
- 4:07If I'm going to play a game where somebody's handing out weird-looking, cool, surreal cards
- 4:12and trying to figure out what to do with them, I think Mysterium's a more interesting
- 4:15version of that.
- 4:16But basically Dixit is a light party game where somebody gives a clue of some sort, and
- 4:22then everybody's got these abstract, or not abstract, but sort of fantastical, surreal,
- 4:26art cards in their hand.
- 4:28And everyone's trying to trick, trying to put in a card to meet that clue so that other
- 4:32people will think their card is the one that inspired the clue giver to give the clue.
- 4:38It's kind of your standard.
- 4:39Everybody puts a thing in, and then you vote on it, party game.
- 4:42It's not a judge game, particularly, maybe it's a popularity contest game, but it's a fun
- 4:48little one.
- 4:49It's easy to explain.
- 4:50It's easy for people to get into.
- 4:52The rules aren't complicated, so, and people can kind of drop in and out.
- 4:55So Dixit, often a winner, really good for the beginning or the night of a casual game
- 4:59night.
- 5:00And so, it won't surprise me again if this doesn't get dusty.
- 5:03I'll probably end up playing it again at board game club at some point, but it was fun
- 5:07to show it to students.
- 5:09So, as Kahuna, Kahuna is, I played this on, I think, Yucata.
- 5:13It is a two-player game where you are building bridges between these islands.
- 5:20You have these cards that allow you to build the bridges, and I think you need two matching
- 5:23cards to build a bridge or three matching cards to steal someone else's bridge and put
- 5:28your own, your own, and down instead.
- 5:30And basically, what you're trying to do is have the majority of the bridges going to
- 5:34an island be your bridges, and then you get control of that island.
- 5:38The game is played over three rounds, and after each round, you assess who has control of
- 5:43how many islands, and then I think the person who had more control in two of the three rounds
- 5:48wins.
- 5:49I honestly don't remember the scoring that well, but it's a fun little two-player game.
- 5:54It's the sort of thing that would be really fun to play over time and get good at.
- 5:58Playing it every now and again is fine, but I just don't have the chops to be very good
- 6:03at it.
- 6:04And something about it, it's not a game I've been very good at.
- 6:06I don't know if I've ever recorded a win.
- 6:08I've played a couple times in person.
- 6:11Rob has a copy or used to have a copy, and then several times on Yucata.
- 6:17So Kahuna, it's fun.
- 6:19It's the sort of game that I would enjoy playing a bunch of times, probably, to get good at.
- 6:24If I had the chance to play it at like on the table, you know, at lunchtime with somebody
- 6:28or something, seems like it would be a good game for that.
- 6:31That's Kahuna.
- 6:32So I played "Settlers of Catan" two year, one year, nine months, and 18 days, dusty.
- 6:38This would be the...
- 6:40I'm not going to talk about this much because this would be the play that led me to make
- 6:43my "Nah, I'm Good" episode.
- 6:46So you can go look at that one if you want to see why what happened to that play of guitar.
- 6:51Grand Austria Hotel.
- 6:52I played this one on board game arena, one year, nine months, 28 days.
- 6:57I feel like this is the kind of game I could really enjoy if I played it on the table.
- 7:01But playing it online, I've never really gotten it to click.
- 7:04Maybe if I played it real time online, but the track's games, particularly Simone Luciani's
- 7:09tracks games, I have a lot of trouble getting them to click in my head.
- 7:14Even if I understand how they're supposed to work, keeping track of everything asymmetrically
- 7:18over time when I don't have experience playing the game on the table, often means that I'm
- 7:23just not playing them very well.
- 7:25And that's my experience with Grand Austria Hotel.
- 7:26It feels like when I play that, even if I feel like I'm kind of doing well, I'll look
- 7:30and I'll see other people doing drastically better and I don't really understand how they're
- 7:35doing that.
- 7:36So there's either there's some essential pattern, a component I'm missing or it's just a
- 7:42matter of keeping the architecture of the game in your head when you've never played it
- 7:45on the table is harder or even in real time.
- 7:48So maybe what I ought to do is some evening when I have an hour free or an hour and a half
- 7:53free hop on and play a game of Grand Austria Hotel live online and see if that experience
- 8:01clicks better.
- 8:02I also probably should read the rules again, that's the trick.
- 8:05But it was one year, nine months, 18 days dusty or 28 days dusty for that.
- 8:11At toggle one night we had a few minutes and a bunch of people so we got out Concept, Concept
- 8:17it had been seven years, ten months and 27 days since I played that and that's a fine
- 8:22amount of time for me.
- 8:23Concept is one of those games that game snobs find themselves saying, "Hello this is in
- 8:28activity not a game."
- 8:30There is a scoring component and you can win certainly and I was bad at it so maybe my
- 8:35problem is I'm not good at it, not that it's not a good game.
- 8:39But the people who... the play of it is that you are trying to convey an idea to other people
- 8:47and you're doing that through conveying different qualities and different colors using this grid
- 8:53of different abstractions.
- 8:54It's an interesting idea and it's a kind of game that I feel like should in my head when
- 9:00I hear about it, I'm like, "Yeah, that sounds really fun and then I go to play it and they
- 9:03don't have as much fun as I was hoping I would."
- 9:05So that's one of those plays where just it is a disconnect between my experience of play
- 9:11and the experience of the table.
- 9:13So that's concept.
- 9:14It was seven years dusty, almost eight years dusty when I played it.
- 9:17And sure, we can do that again.
- 9:20By contrast, we play Gingerbread House and this is one I really enjoy.
- 9:24Gingerbread House is a Phil Walker Harding game.
- 9:26It was two years, 11 months, 29 days dusty for me.
- 9:30In it you play a witch living in the fantasy forest of, I don't know, fairy tale land and
- 9:39you just, you have a nice house and you want people to leave it alone.
- 9:42But instead, all these people come by and try to eat parts of your house and that's
- 9:45not nice.
- 9:46So you capture them.
- 9:48The way the game works is that you have these Gingerbread tiles with little icons on them
- 9:53and some of the icons are symbols which represent sort of different currencies.
- 9:58And then there's also a couple different icons that represent sort of special powers.
- 10:02What you're doing is you're slowly building your house up by building it up in stories.
- 10:07And as you're laying your Gingerbread tiles down, whenever you cover up a symbol, you get
- 10:12that symbol.
- 10:13And since your Gingerbread tile is sort of two pieces, it's like a domino kind of.
- 10:17If you cover up two of the same symbol, then you get three of that symbol instead of two.
- 10:20And that's basically the whole economy of the game is your, your drafting tiles and covering
- 10:26up tiles or covering up spaces in your house.
- 10:29And then the spaces that you cover up, you get resources from and then the resources you
- 10:34use to do things.
- 10:35So you can use the resources to buy scoring cards.
- 10:39You can use the resources to fulfill objectives and you can use the resources to sort of capture
- 10:45people coming by.
- 10:46Those are kind of the three categories that you're scoring in and often these play off
- 10:50to each other.
- 10:51So the people who are coming by, some of them are, there's humans and then there's fairy
- 10:55tale creatures.
- 10:57There's, I think there's good and evil or I don't remember.
- 11:00There's like two different, like nice and mean.
- 11:04So there's like good and evil and human and fantasy.
- 11:08So every creature has both of those characteristics in different combinations.
- 11:12And so what you're trying to do is capture them because they're all worth points.
- 11:17But then your scoring cards will also give you bonuses for capturing specific combinations
- 11:20of them.
- 11:22If you have like for everyone, everyone that's evil, you get an extra point or whatever.
- 11:26So it's a relatively complex set of outcomes that emerge from a relatively simple set of
- 11:32interactions, which is often the case with Philip Walker Harding's best games of his
- 11:37simple tile placement games, putting it in the category of Llamaland and BarenPark and
- 11:44Gingerbread House.
- 11:45I think I would put Gingerbread House in the middle.
- 11:47I like BarenPark better and Llamaland not as much.
- 11:50But I think they're all good and interesting in different ways.
- 11:52So they're all games that I've kept in my collection.
- 11:55I think Llamaland has currently got the longest dust on it, although Barenpark has been
- 11:59quite a while since I've had it on the table.
- 12:02So I might be time to bust that one out again.
- 12:04In the meantime, Gingerbread House is enjoyable and it does make it out usually in November
- 12:09December because it's kind of a Christmasy theme, you know, Gingerbread, whatnot.
- 12:13So I enjoy bringing it out at the Christmas time and it's an easy enough game to get back
- 12:19onto the table that, yeah, but apparently it had been almost three years since we played
- 12:23it, which is no good.
- 12:25So that is Gingerbread House from Philip Walker Harding, another game dusted off.
- 12:30And I recently had talked about an hour and a half or an hour and 15 minutes left and
- 12:34I said, "I think that's time to play Isle of Skye."
- 12:37And we did.
- 12:38We got it done in time.
- 12:39It was tight, but we made it.
- 12:43That reminded me how much I like Isle of Skye as a relatively simple, tight little game.
- 12:49So let's talk about it.
- 12:53Isle of Skye is from Alexander Pfister and it's a game about being a Scottish chieftain
- 13:02in the Highlands in, I don't know, Old Timey Times.
- 13:05The idea is that you are acquiring land for your clan and you do so by buying tiles from
- 13:12the other players.
- 13:13The way the game works is very simple.
- 13:15Each player has a little pile of money behind their screen and they have three, they have
- 13:20room for three tiles in front of their screen.
- 13:23On your, everybody at the same time draws three tiles from the bag and then they arrange those
- 13:30three tiles in front of their screen.
- 13:32And behind their screen they are going to put out little piles of money.
- 13:35They also have an axe.
- 13:37So they are going to put one, the axe behind one of the tiles and little piles of money
- 13:41behind the other two tiles.
- 13:43Then once everyone has done that, then you remove your screens or move your screens back and
- 13:48you reveal which tile you have an axe up by and what the money piles are behind the other
- 13:54two tiles.
- 13:55The way it works is the axe, the tile that you gave the axe goes back in the bag or maybe
- 13:59discarded, I'd have to check.
- 14:01And the two piles where you put money, what you've said is here's how much money you
- 14:05have to pay me to buy these tiles.
- 14:07So there's an interesting thing where you can't price tiles higher than the money you have
- 14:12and any money that you commit to selling the tiles, you can't spend until after someone
- 14:19has bought that tile from you.
- 14:21If they buy a tile from you, then that money comes back into your pot.
- 14:24But unless someone, if someone doesn't buy the money, the tile from you, you can't spend
- 14:28that money.
- 14:29Then you go around the table, taking turns buying tiles from each other and then once everyone
- 14:36has bought a tile going around the table, then anybody who has tiles left in front of
- 14:40them buys those tiles with the money that they put out.
- 14:44So that's the genius trick of this.
- 14:46If you put out tiles with a very low price, you'll definitely be able to afford to buy someone
- 14:51else's tile.
- 14:52But there's a good chance other people will buy the tiles in front of you, you'll end up
- 14:54with only one tile.
- 14:56By contrast, if you put out tiles with very high prices, it's possible that no one else
- 14:59will buy the tiles in front of you, but you might not have enough money to buy any tiles
- 15:03that anyone else has put out.
- 15:05Now there is an income phase before everyone prices the tiles, so it's pretty hard to get
- 15:10stuck with no money or with very little money, usually enough.
- 15:13But the interesting thing is the game has all of these different scoring conditions.
- 15:18There are five different scoring conditions and in the first three rounds, two of the scoring
- 15:23conditions trigger each round.
- 15:25And the last two rounds, I think, three conditions trigger such that every scoring condition triggers
- 15:32twice or three times, I believe.
- 15:34So it's a really interesting game, very clever decision making, nice tension, quick playing.
- 15:42I would say the hardest things for new players is that it's hard to know how much to price
- 15:47tiles at, but the game has a relatively limited scope of money, so how much you price the
- 15:55tiles at.
- 15:56You can't really get too far off of what's possible.
- 15:59Yeah, it's a really interesting game.
- 16:01I like it a lot.
- 16:02The scoring is fun.
- 16:03There's a lot of luck involved in, you know, you might just not get the tiles you want to
- 16:07complete the thing you want, or if you're late in the turn order, someone else will buy the
- 16:10tile you wanted, and then you have to try to rethink.
- 16:13So there is some of that, but that makes it interesting and it's short enough that you can't
- 16:18get too upset if you're not getting what you want.
- 16:20So that is Isle of Skye.
- 16:23That was three years, four months, and 28 days, Dusty.
- 16:26We played New York Zoo, which was one year, two months, and 25 days, Dusty.
- 16:30This is a Uwe Rosenberg Light polyomino game.
- 16:33It came out right in the middle of his polyomino spree, which included patchwork and summer
- 16:41garden and, or Indian summer and cottage garden and spring meadow, I think it was called.
- 16:53There's a bunch of them that all came out kind of around the same time.
- 16:56New York Zoo is interestingly kind of a race game, which it doesn't appear to be a race
- 17:01game at first, but it is.
- 17:03The goal is to fill up your player board as fast as you can.
- 17:07And the game has a couple of different elements you are buying polyamano tiles to put under
- 17:13your board.
- 17:15As the game goes along, they get smaller and smaller.
- 17:18And then you're also breeding zoo animals.
- 17:21There are five different kinds of zoo animals.
- 17:23If you can get a good rhythm going on your zoo animal breeding, then you can acquire more
- 17:28of the bonus tiles, which fills up your zoo faster.
- 17:31It becomes a race to try to finish your zoo first.
- 17:34And it's pretty interesting.
- 17:36I like it a lot.
- 17:37It plays, it's easy to play.
- 17:39The rules about where you can put animals are a little bit complicated.
- 17:43I just have to read them carefully before I teach it.
- 17:45So that part is the only tricky part.
- 17:47But yeah, it's cute.
- 17:48It's fun.
- 17:49It's easy to play worth a look if you get a chance that's New York Zoo.
- 17:52I liked to play it about once a year, so one year or two months is about right.
- 17:55We played Dungeon Mayhem, my son.
- 17:58We played this once a long time ago.
- 18:00My son decided he wanted it, so he picked up a set that had like four or five players worth
- 18:04of stuff in it.
- 18:05I think we played it two player game before.
- 18:07Dungeon Mayhem is a pretty simple battling game where each player has a set of spells.
- 18:12And then you turn, you're going to draw a card and then you could take an action.
- 18:16And when you're taking an action, you're doing attacks against some people around the table.
- 18:22It's a winner takes all last person standing kind of game.
- 18:26And each player has a slightly different set of skills that they can do.
- 18:29So you have to kind of lean into the things that you're good at and kind of read the table
- 18:33about when to go.
- 18:34But there is a fair amount of like pile on.
- 18:36So if people think you're ahead, you might get a bunch of attacks that you didn't really
- 18:40think you deserve or whatever.
- 18:41So just some of that as well.
- 18:43And of course, some luck if you have some health cards, but you never draw them or you don't
- 18:46draw them when you meet them, that can be a real rough go as well.
- 18:50So from that perspective, it's kind of silly, but it's not very long.
- 18:53So it's fun as well.
- 18:54That's Dungeon Mayhem.
- 18:56It had been five years, four months and seven days since we played that one.
- 19:00Next up, Marvel Dice Throne.
- 19:01It had been a year and four months since I played that.
- 19:03My son got two new Marvel Dice Throne characters for Christmas.
- 19:07In fact, those were the last two that he didn't have.
- 19:10So he now has the full set.
- 19:12And basically we played those to try him out.
- 19:15And because he likes a game a lot.
- 19:16I like the game fine.
- 19:17I think it's fun.
- 19:19But I'm not great at it.
- 19:20He wins almost every time.
- 19:22It's funny.
- 19:23Playing Doctor Strange and I was playing the Scarlet Witch or Black Widow.
- 19:28And we played a couple times and he was kicking my butt.
- 19:31And I kept wanting to play the Black Widow because I'm like, these characters are supposed
- 19:34to be balanced.
- 19:35Should be able to win.
- 19:36Play two or three times.
- 19:37I got kind of close to the third game.
- 19:38I'm like, all right, well, let's switch it up.
- 19:40I'll try to actor Strange.
- 19:41You play Black Widow and then he won with Black Widow.
- 19:43So it's just entirely possible I'm bad at the game.
- 19:46Absolutely.
- 19:47It is a dice roller, not unlike Yahtzee in terms of rolling dice three times and doing
- 19:54stuff based on the results you get.
- 19:56So it isn't surprising that he did better than I did.
- 20:00It is bummer from the perspective of wishing to wanting to win, but minor, minor issue.
- 20:06So yeah, that is Marvel Dice Throne.
- 20:09Yahtzee, we got to play Yahtzee.
- 20:12I actually played this one.
- 20:14We played a PNP Homebrew Print and Play version of Yahtzee.
- 20:18I found the Yahtzee scoring sheet because it turned out we didn't have a copy.
- 20:21I thought we had a copy.
- 20:22We did not.
- 20:23So I printed out the score sheets and then you just play with dice because Yahtzee is a
- 20:28pretty simple game.
- 20:30In it, you are rolling dice trying to get basically poker hands or runs of cards or dice
- 20:35results.
- 20:36Each turn, you have to fill in one of the categories with the score that you got.
- 20:42And over time, you get points for filling in different ones.
- 20:47You get extra points if you get Yachtsy's and there were so many points that if somebody
- 20:51gets a couple of Yahtzees more than everyone else, it's over, honestly.
- 20:55But it's a pretty fun game as far as classic roll-and-writes go.
- 20:59It is the classic roll-and-write in which you are choosing the most interesting thing is
- 21:04that you have to fill in something every round.
- 21:06So in a round where you don't get a good roll, it's interesting trying to decide.
- 21:10Do you fill in something where you get a couple points or do you mark X in the category
- 21:16where it's very hard to score points with the hope that later you'll score more points
- 21:20in the easier category?
- 21:21An interesting challenge and a fun choice to make.
- 21:24That's Yahtzee.
- 21:25It was probably at least 10 years since I played that.
- 21:28I did get a chance to play Santa's workshop again.
- 21:30That one just actually not quite dusty.
- 21:33It was 360 days, but that's how once a year game for us around Christmas, it is fun.
- 21:38It remains fun.
- 21:39It's a classic worker placement game.
- 21:41There's a little bit of strategy to it, but mostly it's just like which path do you take
- 21:45to make your workers most efficient?
- 21:47What materials do you lean into, etc, etc?
- 21:50It's a classic, pretty easy to understand and easy to play and fun.
- 21:54So that's Santa's workshop.
- 21:58In our quest to finish our 10 for 10 last year, playing games that started with numbers.
- 22:02We played 13 Dead End Drive and 221 B Baker Street.
- 22:0613 Dead End Drive, it was dusty, three years, eight months, and 28 days dusty, but it's kind
- 22:13of a cheat because I had also played 1313 Dead End Drive, which is a different game, but
- 22:19very similar.
- 22:20It's a re-implementation of the game.
- 22:22They changed some of the rules enough that it is different, but a music nonetheless.
- 22:27I really liked 13 Dead End Drive better than 1313 Dead End Drive, but they're very close.
- 22:33So if you have access to one and not the other, don't feel bad.
- 22:36Worth trying.
- 22:37221 B Baker Street is a mystery solving game.
- 22:40You run around, getting clues, and then you run back to Baker Street to try and tell us
- 22:44your luck homes what you think the answer is.
- 22:46It's pretty interesting.
- 22:47There's a point where you have to decide, do I have enough clues to solve the mystery?
- 22:51Then you run back and tell us your luck and find out if you're right or not.
- 22:55The roll to move part kind of stinks because if you roll badly a couple times, you can
- 22:58drop away behind the other players.
- 23:00There's also an element of just like, did you pick the right combination of things to
- 23:04really try and succeed?
- 23:07Unless you're going to visit every clue thing, at some point you have to decide.
- 23:10I probably have enough information, but if you miss that one person who eliminates somebody
- 23:13or gives some piece of information you didn't have, that can be a real bummer.
- 23:17So that's, yeah, 221B Baker Street.
- 23:20Then saving the last for, best for last, I got to play Glory to Rome.
- 23:24It had been one year, five months, and 12 days since I played that.
- 23:27And man, that game's good.
- 23:28I, boy, howdy, Carl Chudyk, it's not surprising that people still talk about that as his best
- 23:34game.
- 23:35It is so interesting, so weird.
- 23:38The powers are so big and bombastic.
- 23:41And the gameplay is so interconnected.
- 23:44You're messing with each other a lot.
- 23:46Boy, it's good.
- 23:48There's a reason it's into my top 50.
- 23:50And probably, I don't know that it would have been ahead, I not gotten this play in.
- 23:54But getting this play in just reminded me how good it is.
- 23:57And told me, Brendan, I need to get this table more because it is a great game and well worth
- 24:01playing if you get a chance.
- 24:03That's Glory to Rome.
- 24:05Play it if you can.
- 24:06Well, that's it for my emptying the dustbin episode.
- 24:09Hopefully you have found this edifying and interesting.
- 24:12I'm glad to talk to you about the games that I played, that I didn't get a chance to talk
- 24:16about in another way.
- 24:18Hopefully you've had a chance to play some of these.
- 24:20If you have, head over to board game geekyhill3269 and let me know what you think of them.
- 24:24I'd love to hear.
- 24:25And otherwise, I want to say thanks for taking the game.
- 24:27I'll be back with you in a little while.
- 24:28I'll see you in a little while.
- 24:29Bye bye.
