- 2:23Speaker 1: just a few more days until I'm going to be
- 2:26Speaker 1: seeing you, and I am beyond excited, I will tell you.
- 2:31Speaker 1: And keep it an eye on the weather because it's
- 2:34Speaker 1: been hotter than the hades here in Texas lately and
- 2:39Speaker 1: the insanity with it, I mean, the humidity is just
- 2:42Speaker 1: god awful. So but I am very excited to kick
- 2:46Speaker 1: off my two week holiday and get to see you
- 2:50Speaker 1: in your vand so that's kind of cool in a
- 2:53Speaker 1: perfect way for us to kick off our trip. Now, guys,
- 2:57Speaker 1: in case you do not watch Couch with Lama, you
- 3:01Speaker 1: do need to know this Saturday, June thirteenth, at from
- 3:05Speaker 1: noon Eastern to midnight Eastern. Yes, guys, twelve full hours, okay,
- 3:12Speaker 1: Lama will be streaming live. Okay. So it is a
- 3:17Speaker 1: Couch Court special and it is to raise funds for
- 3:20Speaker 1: Mike Marriccino, with over eighteen other creators joining throughout the day.
- 3:27Speaker 1: And there's some good ones in there. Well, there's a
- 3:29Speaker 1: lot of good ones and some surprises. There's also going
- 3:33Speaker 1: to be an auction I will be popping on. I
- 3:36Speaker 1: don't know if it's going to be from the car
- 3:39Speaker 1: from the hotel. I don't know, but I will be
- 3:42Speaker 1: popping in it sometime. I will tell you all this.
- 3:45Speaker 1: I will make sure it's before I go to Lanny's concert,
- 3:50Speaker 1: so that I have not had too many cocktails. Okay,
- 3:54Speaker 1: we don't want that now. If you have no idea
- 3:58Speaker 1: who Mike is, you need to go to our Laura
- 4:01Speaker 1: Owens playlist here on our YouTube channel because it is
- 4:08Speaker 1: bunny boiler, batshit, crazy, bonker shit. Okay, this girl is insane, insane.
- 4:20Speaker 1: If anyone has seen the dateline or listen to the podcast,
- 4:26Speaker 1: what about Pam. This Pam lady and Laura Owens could
- 4:31Speaker 1: be relatives, except for Laura hasn't killed anyone that we're
- 4:36Speaker 1: aware of. Okay, that we're aware of, but you need
- 4:40Speaker 1: to But everybody is coming out to support Mike because guys,
- 4:44Speaker 1: he did not ask for this insanity. Imagine going out
- 4:49Speaker 1: with somebody. We've all had that relationship, we're on off,
- 4:52Speaker 1: you go out, YadA, YadA, YadA, to wind up in
- 4:56Speaker 1: court having to fight this woman and all of her
- 5:01Speaker 1: made up lies. I mean, the courts have proven she's
- 5:04Speaker 1: a liar. Okay, in fact, on couch court tomorrow morning,
- 5:09Speaker 1: at ten a m. Eastern, Lama will be reading some
- 5:14Speaker 1: more of the documents and guys, it is insane. Uh oh,
- 5:20Speaker 1: Laney said, might even be able to do it while
- 5:23Speaker 1: we're streaming by the pool. Laney, I don't know if
- 5:27Speaker 1: anybody you on the internet or the YouTube's want to
- 5:31Speaker 1: see this old lady in a swimsuit, especially not with
- 5:36Speaker 1: a right boob. That's the doctor's calling an adventure and
- 5:41Speaker 1: that we're having to do surgery on again. But you know,
- 5:45Speaker 1: we might, Okay, we might. You never know. Now, guys,
- 5:50Speaker 1: I want to give you a quick update when I
- 5:52Speaker 1: give you the Amber alert. So Delisa Fragasso, who went
- 5:57Speaker 1: missing May twenty five, fifth twenty six from Los Angeles
- 6:02Speaker 1: police have said over the weekend that Reuben for Goosso,
- 6:06Speaker 1: the man who abducted her, is now wanted on murder
- 6:09Speaker 1: charges in the killing of her mother, and they do
- 6:14Speaker 1: believe he has headed to Mexico. So guys, go look
- 6:20Speaker 1: at her. Picture the scary thing in with a four
- 6:22Speaker 1: year old like that, it is so easy to change
- 6:25Speaker 1: the way she looks. Please keep your eyes out. They
- 6:29Speaker 1: are worried, Okay, they are really worried. Then the other
- 6:33Speaker 1: two that have been on our list since June of
- 6:36Speaker 1: last year. We have Alan Fisher and Michelle Fisher who
- 6:41Speaker 1: left Idaho and they believe they're on the way to
- 6:44Speaker 1: Salt Lake City. Okay, so please everybody always, you know,
- 6:50Speaker 1: keep that in mind. Okay, Now, let's get on to
- 6:56Speaker 1: where we're going today. And guys, I am excited to
- 6:59Speaker 1: tell y'all Wyoming. I will actually be going to Wyoming
- 7:03Speaker 1: next week. It's only for one night, it's on our travels,
- 7:07Speaker 1: but I'm excited because I will actually be able to
- 7:10Speaker 1: say I've been to Wyoming. And Wyoming may be the
- 7:14Speaker 1: least populated state in the nation, but they say it
- 7:18Speaker 1: has vast open spaces, which, sadly kritney creates unique challenges
- 7:24Speaker 1: when someone goes missing. So nearly half of Wyoming's land
- 7:29Speaker 1: is federally owned and much of the state is made
- 7:33Speaker 1: up of rugged mountains, high desert, remote range land, and
- 7:37Speaker 1: miles of isolated backroads. I wish we had more time
- 7:41Speaker 1: to go experience sex. I love backroads. So in areas
- 7:46Speaker 1: like Sweetwater County, where David Lovely disappeared, a person can
- 7:50Speaker 1: travel for miles without encountering another vehicle or residence. That
- 7:58Speaker 1: sounds scary, but also amazing at the same time. I
- 8:03Speaker 1: mean it sounds amazing, but also Wyoming is home to
- 8:07Speaker 1: some of the darkest night skies in the United States,
- 8:10Speaker 1: which is a point of pride for residents and visitors.
- 8:15Speaker 1: And I cannot wait to see the sky. I can't, Okay,
- 8:20Speaker 1: I can't. So I'm sure I will be taking pictures
- 8:24Speaker 1: and who knows, maybe we'll get a fun video. Our
- 8:29Speaker 1: first case today. On July twenty fourth, nineteen ninety seven,
- 8:34Speaker 1: twenty four year old Amy joy Row Bechdel disappeared near Lando, Wyoming, Lander, Wyoming.
- 8:43Speaker 1: Maybe I should drink some water. Hold on, guys, if
- 8:47Speaker 1: you've never been to Texas, our allergies are insane. Literally
- 8:52Speaker 1: watched my car Saturday, left it in the parking lot
- 8:55Speaker 1: for two hours, came back out, and it was covered
- 8:58Speaker 1: in pollen. It's crazy, see right now, So I'm taking
- 9:02Speaker 1: lots of clearend. Indeed, now what should have been an
- 9:06Speaker 1: ordinary summer day. You know. Amy was a talented distance runner,
- 9:12Speaker 1: an outdoor enthusiast, and someone's friends described as disciplined, quiet,
- 9:19Speaker 1: and goal oriented. Okay. She graduated from the University of
- 9:23Speaker 1: Wyoming in nineteen ninety five, and she hoped to someday
- 9:27Speaker 1: qualify for the Olympics. Okay, guys, that's a big dream.
- 9:32Speaker 1: That's a big dream. And she, about a year before
- 9:35Speaker 1: she went missing, had married Steve Bechdel. The couple had
- 9:39Speaker 1: also recently purchased a new home they were preparing to
- 9:42Speaker 1: move into. So not big signs that she was planning
- 9:47Speaker 1: on leaving her life, Okay. That morning of July twenty fourth,
- 9:51Speaker 1: Amy left the apartment she shared with her husband, Steve,
- 9:55Speaker 1: around nine point thirty in the morning to run errand's
- 9:58Speaker 1: connected to remove, guys, there's a lot to do. Later
- 10:02Speaker 1: that afternoon, approximately about two point thirty, she stopped at
- 10:06Speaker 1: a local photoshop. Employees later told investigators she appeared to
- 10:11Speaker 1: be in a hurry checked her watch several times while
- 10:13Speaker 1: inside the store. She got things to do. They're planning
- 10:16Speaker 1: a move to their new home, you know, authorities believe.
- 10:20Speaker 1: Amy then drove toward the shoe Show National Forced Area
- 10:25Speaker 1: to check the route for an upcoming ten kilometer race
- 10:29Speaker 1: she was organizing through her gym. Okay, guys, she's an
- 10:34Speaker 1: avid runner. And if y'all are new here, I don't
- 10:39Speaker 1: get why people run. In fact, yesterdayh and I saw
- 10:42Speaker 1: a runner as we were coming home from somewhere, and
- 10:44Speaker 1: I look at him. I'm like, I don't see anybody
- 10:46Speaker 1: chasing this guy. Why is he running? And he just
- 10:49Speaker 1: rolls his eyes at me and says, not everybody feels
- 10:52Speaker 1: that way about running, Terry, It's just you. Okay, Now, lady,
- 10:57Speaker 1: you run every day. Why who's chasing you? Is it
- 11:03Speaker 1: internal demons? Is it imaginary friends? Why? Why? Just tell
- 11:10Speaker 1: me why? I would rather swim a couple of miles
- 11:14Speaker 1: in the pool, So I'm a lapse swimmer. But that's okay.
- 11:20Speaker 1: Lama's here, Hello, Lama. I can tell y'all Lama's not
- 11:23Speaker 1: running either, unless someone's chasing her. She and I agree
- 11:27Speaker 1: with that, okay. Now, she was an avid runner, as
- 11:31Speaker 1: we learn, They believe she may have gone jogging along
- 11:34Speaker 1: the loop route in the wind River Mountain sometime that afternoon,
- 11:39Speaker 1: so a footprint similar to the Adidas trail shoes she
- 11:43Speaker 1: had been wearing were found in the area, but it
- 11:46Speaker 1: was destroyed before investigators could compare it. Guys, she never
- 11:52Speaker 1: returned home, okay. Steve, her husband, arrived back at the
- 11:56Speaker 1: couple's apartment around four point thirty that after after spending
- 12:01Speaker 1: the day with friends and at First, they said he
- 12:03Speaker 1: was not concerned when Amy was not there, but as
- 12:07Speaker 1: the evening hours passed and she still had not returned,
- 12:11Speaker 1: he began to get concerned. Okay, And they said at
- 12:15Speaker 1: ten thirty pm he called authorities. Now, guys, I have
- 12:19Speaker 1: to tell you, And maybe it's just me and double H,
- 12:23Speaker 1: but if I tell him I'm going to be home
- 12:26Speaker 1: mid afternoon, if he hasn't heard from me by like
- 12:29Speaker 1: three or four, he is blowing up my phone to
- 12:33Speaker 1: make sure I'm okay. Now, he just checks, you know,
- 12:36Speaker 1: to see where I'm at, to make sure I'm not
- 12:39Speaker 1: down some side street or lost somewhere. I can tell you,
- 12:43Speaker 1: by eight, he would be calling the police because he
- 12:47Speaker 1: knows I'm not going to go missing on my own. Okay. Now.
- 12:52Speaker 1: Shortly after Amy was reported missing, searchers located her white
- 12:57Speaker 1: Toyota station wagon abandoned along Loop Road near the wind
- 13:02Speaker 1: River Mountains. Guys inside the vehicle or her keys, her sunglasses,
- 13:09Speaker 1: and her to do list for the day. Her wallet
- 13:12Speaker 1: was missing. That there was no obvious signs of foul
- 13:16Speaker 1: play and no indication of where she had gone. Okay, Now,
- 13:22Speaker 1: an extensive search effort began almost immediately There was law
- 13:27Speaker 1: enforcement volunteers, family members, friends. They searched the rugged Wyoming
- 13:32Speaker 1: terrain for any signs of amy. The authorities initially considered
- 13:38Speaker 1: the possibility that maybe she had become lost, injured, or
- 13:42Speaker 1: attacked by wildlife in the remote wilderness area, but as
- 13:47Speaker 1: the investigation continue, detectives began looking more closely at the
- 13:52Speaker 1: people closest to her. Guys. One thing that I found interesting.
- 13:57Speaker 1: I do go on walks. I do like to go
- 14:00Speaker 1: hiking and walk it just don't run. I don't leave
- 14:03Speaker 1: my keys in my car. I take my keys with me.
- 14:08Speaker 1: Is that weird? If you were off running, would you
- 14:11Speaker 1: leave your keys in your car? I mean, I'm asking
- 14:14Speaker 1: because I know I'm a little bit more probably paranoid.
- 14:17Speaker 1: I wouldn't say paranoid aware in safety conscious, So I
- 14:22Speaker 1: don't know now. Investigator Search searched her husband, Steve's journals
- 14:28Speaker 1: and found writings that reference violence towards women, including an
- 14:33Speaker 1: undated poem about murder and hiding a body. And yes, guys,
- 14:40Speaker 1: that can be a ragged flack. Okay, but let's also
- 14:45Speaker 1: stop and think. Can you imagine if I went missing
- 14:51Speaker 1: or double h went missing and somebody started reading my
- 14:55Speaker 1: writings or look at my Google search as I think
- 15:01Speaker 1: I would be arrested immediately and I would have a
- 15:04Speaker 1: one way ticket to prison. I would be convicted just
- 15:08Speaker 1: by my Google search, just saying now. Friends and acquaintances
- 15:16Speaker 1: of the couple also provided conflicting descriptions of the marriage.
- 15:21Speaker 1: Some describe the relationship as happy, while others claim Steve
- 15:26Speaker 1: was jealous and often belittled Amy. Don't like that. A
- 15:31Speaker 1: woman camping in the show Shun Show shown National Park
- 15:36Speaker 1: Area on that day that Amy disappeared, later told investigators
- 15:41Speaker 1: she saw a truck similar to Steve's speeding through the
- 15:45Speaker 1: park during the early evening hours. Now authorities have never
- 15:49Speaker 1: confirmed whether that was his truck or if it had
- 15:53Speaker 1: anything to do with Amy's disappearance. Steve has denied any
- 15:58Speaker 1: involvement in amy disappearance, and, on the advice of his attorney,
- 16:03Speaker 1: he later stopped cooperating with the investigators and declined to
- 16:07Speaker 1: take a polygraph test. Hey, guys, I am not going
- 16:10Speaker 1: to fault him for that. Anyone, innocent or guilty, you
- 16:14Speaker 1: should get an attorney, and you should not take a
- 16:17Speaker 1: polygraph test. They are not accurate and you just shouldn't, Okay,
- 16:24Speaker 1: He has maintained that law enforcement has unfairly focused on
- 16:28Speaker 1: him because they lacked other suspects and evidence, which, guys,
- 16:34Speaker 1: we always know they're going to look at the husband,
- 16:36Speaker 1: the boyfriend, and the exes. They're going to do all
- 16:39Speaker 1: of that. Okay. Now, Another name later surfaced in this investigation,
- 16:46Speaker 1: Dale Wayne Eaton, was a convicted murderer on Wyoming's death Row.
- 16:52Speaker 1: Investigators believed Eaton may have been connected to multiple killings
- 16:55Speaker 1: across several Western states and considered him a possible suspect
- 17:00Speaker 1: in Amy's disappearance after his brother claimed he was in
- 17:05Speaker 1: the Lander area around the time Amy vanished. Now, Eaton's
- 17:10Speaker 1: never been charged in connection with her case, and he
- 17:13Speaker 1: has refused to discuss it once again, that is his right. Yep, lady,
- 17:21Speaker 1: and Grace says, they tell you that you failed when
- 17:24Speaker 1: you didn't. Absolutely yep, lawyers shut up, No, Polly exactly,
- 17:31Speaker 1: even if you're innocent. Okay, look, I mean better safe
- 17:37Speaker 1: than sorry right now. Years later, Amy was declared legally
- 17:43Speaker 1: dead in two thousand and four, but her disappearance remains unsought.
- 17:48Speaker 1: All of these decades later, her family is still left
- 17:51Speaker 1: without answers about what happened to this runner who vanished
- 17:55Speaker 1: somewhere in the Wyoming Wilderness on a July afternoon. They
- 18:00Speaker 1: are asking anyone with information about Amy Joe roe Bechtel's
- 18:05Speaker 1: disappearance is asked to contact the Freeman County Sheriff's Office
- 18:10Speaker 1: at three oh seven three three two five six one one.
- 18:15Speaker 1: And I'm going to ask you, like I do every week,
- 18:19Speaker 1: please go to Midday Missing's Facebook page or to any
- 18:23Speaker 1: of Terry true crime social media pages and share the
- 18:27Speaker 1: missing person poster for Amy, because guys, they deserve an answer.
- 18:33Speaker 1: They shouldn't have to go to bed every night wondering
- 18:35Speaker 1: what happened and if for X I guess not as
- 18:39Speaker 1: ex for widowed husband has something to do with it,
- 18:42Speaker 1: then he deserves to be held accountable or whoever did
- 18:44Speaker 1: something to her. Okay, they deserve to be held accountable. Now, guys,
- 18:50Speaker 1: if you know of a person missing or a loved
- 18:55Speaker 1: one and you want their story told by us, we
- 18:59Speaker 1: would be on to help share their case on an
- 19:02Speaker 1: upcoming episode, and family members are welcome to join us
- 19:07Speaker 1: for a live interview to discuss their loved ones and
- 19:10Speaker 1: help raise awareness. All you have to do is email
- 19:13Speaker 1: me Terry at Tcwtmedia dot com, or you can send
- 19:18Speaker 1: me a DM on any of our social media platforms.
- 19:22Speaker 1: Just don't ask me to send you pictures. Don't ask
- 19:26Speaker 1: me if I want to have you be my daddy,
- 19:29Speaker 1: because the answer will be no, and then I'm a
- 19:32Speaker 1: screenshot and share that picture because I'm tired of it.
- 19:35Speaker 1: Okay now, David Vernon Ooops, I went too far. David
- 19:43Speaker 1: Vernon Lovely was nineteen years old when he disappeared on
- 19:47Speaker 1: August fifth, nineteen eighty five. He was last seen in
- 19:52Speaker 1: Fort Bridge, or Whiteoming while traveling across the country with
- 19:56Speaker 1: this family during a move from California to Massitude. And guys,
- 20:01Speaker 1: he stood six foot four at bitap weighed about one
- 20:07Speaker 1: hundred and sixty pounds. He had blonde brown hair, blue eyes,
- 20:11Speaker 1: and large scars across his aftmen from extensive kidney surgery
- 20:15Speaker 1: that he underwent as a child. He was riding a
- 20:19Speaker 1: burgundy Maroon or what we call Aggie Maroon nineteen seventy
- 20:23Speaker 1: eight Yamaha eleven hundred motorcycle equipped with fancy saddlebags and
- 20:29Speaker 1: a luggagtrack, all which contained his personal belongings. Guys, his
- 20:34Speaker 1: hair looks like he has curls and I love it,
- 20:39Speaker 1: and I see some red in it, and I love
- 20:42Speaker 1: it now. The move had been carefully planned, okay. David's
- 20:47Speaker 1: mother and sister were driving a rider moving truck and
- 20:51Speaker 1: towing a truck behind it while David traveled separately on
- 20:55Speaker 1: his motorcycle, and because the motorcycle was much faster than
- 21:00Speaker 1: the moving truck, the family developed a routine of stopping
- 21:04Speaker 1: about every thirty miles to check in with one another
- 21:07Speaker 1: along the route. Okay, that is such a mom move
- 21:11Speaker 1: that I would be doing. I'd be like, Okay, I
- 21:13Speaker 1: can see you, but yeah, let's stop and chat. On
- 21:17Speaker 1: August fifth, after leaving Salt Lake City, Utah, the family
- 21:21Speaker 1: met up again in Evanston, Wyoming. Oh my god, guys,
- 21:26Speaker 1: that's where we're going. Oh okay, these things keep happening
- 21:32Speaker 1: on our shows long and the last time we did
- 21:34Speaker 1: True Crime and Wine Time together, it happened to be
- 21:37Speaker 1: the day of that. Something happened. Now I'm going to Evanston, Wyoming.
- 21:43Speaker 1: That is unreal. Okay, that's unreal. Data told his mother
- 21:49Speaker 1: and sister that he had been experiencing trouble with this
- 21:52Speaker 1: motorcycle and wanted to continue on to Fort Bridger to
- 21:56Speaker 1: have it looked at. His family agreed, excuse me, Lama burb,
- 22:02Speaker 1: and he kept going. Now. Later that day, David contacted
- 22:07Speaker 1: his aunt and told her that his motorcycle had broken
- 22:10Speaker 1: down in Fort Bridger. He said that a rough looking
- 22:13Speaker 1: man who also wrote a motorcycle had helped repair it
- 22:17Speaker 1: at the Bingo truck stop. David reportedly told his aunt
- 22:20Speaker 1: that he was kind of afraid of the man. He
- 22:22Speaker 1: kind of looked a little sketchy. Guys, little did David
- 22:26Speaker 1: or his family realize that the rider truck the family
- 22:29Speaker 1: was traveling in past where David was getting his motorcycle fixed,
- 22:35Speaker 1: and that phone call with his aunt was the last
- 22:38Speaker 1: known contact anyone had with him. Can you imagine being
- 22:44Speaker 1: his mom and finding out later that you drove just
- 22:50Speaker 1: kept going because he thought he'd gone on, and that
- 22:52Speaker 1: you passed. Oh my god. Now, David was one of
- 22:57Speaker 1: five kids. His family did descry him as creative but
- 23:01Speaker 1: a bit naive, like I said. They expected to reconnect
- 23:06Speaker 1: with him further along the route, but he never arrived. Guys.
- 23:11Speaker 1: They waited for him in Rock Springs and continued looking
- 23:14Speaker 1: for him as that traveled east. When he failed to appear.
- 23:18Speaker 1: His disappearance was reported to authorities. Hello, Betty Ross. Nine
- 23:27Speaker 1: days later, campers discovered David's motorcycle abandoned in an isolated
- 23:33Speaker 1: area off Baxter Road near Rock Springs, Wyoming, approximately seventy
- 23:38Speaker 1: miles from Fort Bridger. The motorcycle was found with the
- 23:42Speaker 1: keys still in the ignition, It had a half a
- 23:45Speaker 1: tank of gas remaining, and it was fully operational. It
- 23:50Speaker 1: was not broken down. David's helmet, books, backpack, and his
- 23:56Speaker 1: wallet containing approximately about one hundred and fifty dollars and
- 24:00Speaker 1: their belongings were found nearby. Guys, if you follow true crime,
- 24:07Speaker 1: hold on because this next part I don't understand. Guys.
- 24:11Speaker 1: The police led his dad pick up the motorcycle and
- 24:15Speaker 1: drive it back to his house. Does anyone else find
- 24:18Speaker 1: that weird? Why didn't they take the motorcycle as evidence?
