Transcript
- 0:04[SPEAKER_00]: Welcome to Three Yards Perkati, a podcast covering the Miami Dolphins and the NFL.
- 0:11[SPEAKER_00]: Now, here's your host, Chris, Alf, and Simon.
- 0:17[SPEAKER_02]: And we're on, this is three hours per carry.
- 0:19[SPEAKER_02]: I'm afraid of Arteaga.
- 0:20[SPEAKER_02]: Simon Clancy is here.
- 0:23[SPEAKER_02]: Chris Kaufman is here.
- 0:24[SPEAKER_02]: And we're continuing our draft series when we're moving on to the offensive and defensive lines, not including edge rushers.
- 0:31[SPEAKER_02]: Next week, we'll finish up the series.
- 0:33[SPEAKER_02]: And the following week, we would do something when we haven't done here in the little while.
- 0:38[SPEAKER_02]: annual mock draft will now go through 30 instead of, like last year, I went through, what was it?
- 0:45[SPEAKER_02]: I forget when we took kind of grant, it was a 13.
- 0:48[SPEAKER_01]: 15.
- 0:49[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so last year our mock draft went only the 15 because that's when the Miami Dolphins pick.
- 0:56[SPEAKER_02]: This year's mock draft will be a little bit better.
- 0:59[SPEAKER_02]: Of course, we do it every single year.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_02]: No trades, we just we assign players and we make our picks and we will this year at 11 and 30.
- 1:08[SPEAKER_02]: In our annual mock draft, we will do that show on draft week.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_02]: But before we do that, we are back to our dress series and we're doing offensive linemen today.
- 1:18[SPEAKER_02]: I was telling Chris off the air that I was today's years old when I heard about Rechecks for offensive linemen.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_02]: It turns out that Francis Malinoa is going for a Rechecks on his back now.
- 1:34[SPEAKER_02]: I'll say this.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_02]: He didn't miss a game in college.
- 1:39[SPEAKER_02]: Look pretty good to me, playing what was it?
- 1:42[SPEAKER_02]: How many games did they play this?
- 1:43[SPEAKER_02]: You're 16 games?
- 1:46[SPEAKER_02]: So something or nothing, Simon?
- 1:50[SPEAKER_01]: Probably nothing.
- 1:51[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's just a minor.
- 1:54[SPEAKER_01]: There's been a few recheck players.
- 1:56[SPEAKER_01]: Actually, I now can't think of a single one, but there've been a few recheck players.
- 1:59[SPEAKER_01]: You've gone back and had little little things checked out.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_01]: I don't care if thanks could have been back with the broken foot, and there were a few others.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, I'm not too concerned about it.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_01]: The thing I'm more concerned about now and now is that the fact that the shoulders have never been amazing with them.
- 2:16[SPEAKER_01]: He's had obviously both of his shoulders.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_01]: Down in terms of he's had the labour injuries on both the shoulders.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_01]: And surgically repaired.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, I look will.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_01]: He's six out of five three hundred twenty nine pounds and he plays an aggressive sport with collides of people.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_01]: There's bound to be some back issues.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, I am and I think just from reading it there, it seems what Ian Rackenball was saying was that actually it's not even.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_01]: You know, it was disc.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_01]: It was causing him discomfort as much as something that actually showed up in the MRIs and stuff.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_01]: So we'll see.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_01]: But you know, I'm not overly concerned about it.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't think anybody feels like they're overly concerned about it either.
- 2:59[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_02]: Any change on your outlook on Francis Mowanoa Chris?
- 3:05[SPEAKER_04]: No, I wouldn't say so, but I would say that, you know, we kind of talked about it a little bit before we started here that this is the time of year when
- 3:14[SPEAKER_04]: This is the time when you start trusting things probably the least in terms of what you hear out there and then a cup, as you get as you hone into the week of, that's when you start believing things again because the truth starts to come out a little bit more right on the eve of the draft kind of.
- 3:37[SPEAKER_04]: So medical rejects are not uncommon every day
- 3:44[SPEAKER_04]: So that automatically does not make me concerned about him.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_04]: But I will say that between Ruben Bane being trashed a bunch by every scout that talks to Bob McGann and so on and so forth.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_04]: And then this medical thing with Maui Noa, either there's a lot of interest in seeing the two Miami guys fall
- 4:14[SPEAKER_01]: I think somebody's doing a great job behind the scenes of pushing guys down towards the tough end of the moment.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_01]: I'm here for it.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_04]: I'll show you guys, I think either of those Miami guys.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_01]: The most interesting thing is that it only needs two outliers to get into the top 10.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_01]: for things to really, really change happening in terms of being good for my area.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_01]: Because the way that you look at it, you think actually, you might end up missing out on downstairs, Bane, Rhys, you know, Maranoa, the kind of the big five in terms of thought they would do for my area in terms of the big five.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_01]: and it'll only take a monro-freeling or a tie-simpsun or, you know, a second root in my Kylemon to get into that, into that talk, even one of the corners to get into that top tier, to just start pushing.
- 5:09[SPEAKER_01]: some of the really good players down, you know, that's the thing that you want to see.
- 5:14[SPEAKER_01]: You know, if we're sat there on draft night, and all of a sudden, you know, the Cleveland Brown step up, and with the six overall pretty brown slate, Monro Freeling, and and paying in Marano are still on the board.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_01]: You're like, oh, hello.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_01]: You know, okay, this might actually be on now.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously, it's a bit difficult when you start behind the chiefs and the Bengals, you know, because Bane obviously would be a target for both of those teams,
- 5:37[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it just needs a couple of outliers in that first round and all of a sudden, boom, you know.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_01]: that the touch paper is lit.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and you need one of those teams and in front of us to actually have a board that doesn't include one of these players for whatever reason, medical or otherwise.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_02]: You know, and that happens pretty much every single season.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_02]: All right, let's get into this.
- 6:02[SPEAKER_02]: At 11, I think this thing is target rich and man, I would include, like I was trying to make a list here.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_02]: I think there's one guard, okay?
- 6:14[SPEAKER_02]: It's obvious.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_02]: And let's get a tutorial here on how to mention his name.
- 6:19[SPEAKER_02]: I own it.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_02]: No, I want it.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_01]: I want it.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_04]: I want it, I want it.
- 6:25[SPEAKER_01]: No, only if I think you want it, you want it.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_01]: You want it, you want it.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_02]: All right, that's the guard.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_01]: Only if I think you want it.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_02]: and he's pretty pretty damn clean and a tackle at 11.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_02]: Man, I got Maui Noa, Fano.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_02]: What do they really think of Monroe Freeling?
- 6:50[SPEAKER_02]: Because his tape is pretty damn strong.
- 6:53[SPEAKER_02]: Issues do they think that Patrick Paul can play something else?
- 6:56[SPEAKER_02]: Because Monroe Freeling, I think, is pretty much a left tackle.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think it's into him.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_01]: So the one interesting name that
- 7:05[SPEAKER_01]: is there in the ether that we've never talked about as Dolphin fans at all is the guy that everybody keeps talking up saying he's going to be a top 15 pick he's going to go way higher than he's down to Jeremiah's been saying Tony Pauline has been saying it.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_01]: I would not be surprised if Caden brought to fell into the second round and yet there are people saying he's going to go in the top 15 and if he's going to go in the top 15 that puts the Dolphins potentially in play.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_01]: Now I don't think he's a fit for the Dolphins particularly I think he can probably run a bit
- 7:34[SPEAKER_01]: But I think if these people, these well adjusted spokespeople and reporters and staff are talking about this guy, then maybe we have to consider that Caden Proctor is in play for the dolphins.
- 7:49[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think he is and I don't think he would suit the green-based style when you go and look at all the players that they've drafted.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_01]: But these are reputable people and
- 8:01[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Chris.
- 8:02[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, look, I think he's really difficult evaluation.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_01]: I've watched a lot of this tape.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_01]: I, there's some real highs in there, but there's also some pretty bad lows even in 2025.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_01]: He's probably a guard, probably, like me personally.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's just protecting some of those past protection issues.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_01]: These are planet theory, kid.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_01]: The idea that there's only so many of these guys on the planet size, why is that I think if he's going to stay at left tackle, he's got to lose considerable weight.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_01]: He's been up at 400 pounds in the past.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_01]: There have been some weight issues.
- 8:35[SPEAKER_01]: But he doesn't look fat necessarily, like 350 pounds.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_01]: The concern for me is what happens when he's great at soaking up.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_01]: He'd be great against a Jared verse, for example, who's an unbelievable player, but verse is strong, and you match strongly strong.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_01]: Go back and watch the Florida State game.
- 8:52[SPEAKER_01]: He got abused by mental diseases here.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_01]: Like a twitch guy.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 8:57[SPEAKER_01]: Tiny for you.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_01]: Look at Cassius Hal, just thinking of you that guy's coming out this year.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_01]: David Bailey, Cassius Hal, was kind of really speedy twitchy edge guys.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_01]: That's why he has a big problem.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_01]: Like it gives Missouri, you know, he consistently announced on young to get the better of him, because they attacked his outside shoulder with speed.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_01]: And he simply couldn't coordinate the mind, the feet, the body.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_01]: But to do it and he couldn't unlock his hips, he couldn't redirect, he couldn't recover.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_01]: And that to me is the concern, I just think, look, I don't know where they're getting the 15 top 15 team, maybe he does go.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_01]: And again, there's an outlier that ends up going at night, or whatever, and you know, boom away we go.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_01]: I just can't see it.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_01]: I think your ceiling is like Roger Safald in terms of, you know, one of the better more underrated offensive line of the last decade, but I think his floor is McIbeckton, you know, and I think he has to control his weight.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and he just doesn't like the dolphin guy Chris.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_04]: The weight thing is the biggest thing is if you can't control the weight then the floor just kind of fall through And so that's where but I take the other side on him and we've we've talked about him a little bit in the past And he played in the 360s upwards of then now remember and we talked about exactly this how there's some smaller smaller quicker guys that got the better of him in college
- 10:25[SPEAKER_04]: versus, you know, as you mentioned, a Jared verse and somebody that's bigger, stronger, more explosive, but very strong.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_04]: They wouldn't necessarily have an easy time against that guy because because of how much he can absorb and how big and strong he is and explosive he is himself.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_04]: What do you see more of in the NFL versus college, though?
- 10:48[SPEAKER_04]: You see more Jared versus than you do see it and then you see Cashy's Owls and then you see the little, the little FSU guys that run around you.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_04]: So I think that you have to take that a no count.
- 11:00[SPEAKER_04]: That's one thing.
- 11:01[SPEAKER_04]: So the players in the NFL are bigger.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_04]: That does play to his strengths, whether.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_04]: Two, he had just turned 20 years old when he played that FSU game.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_04]: You know, the FSU game, which he struggled, and then he did better as the year, I thought he did a lot better as the year one.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I'm tired.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_04]: And so he had just turned 20 years old.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_04]: If you're a team that is, you know, rebuilding thinking very long term and thinking about growth potential.
- 11:29[SPEAKER_04]: Then that matters a whole lot that age matters a whole lot because we got guys that were out there that are playing at 24 years old.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_04]: You know, big man positions that are playing at 24, 25 years old in college football and abusing some of these 20 year olds.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_04]: And the third thing that I would take account of is who's backing this guy, you know, because if we're talking about the the guys that are out there, you're really talking him up.
- 11:58[SPEAKER_04]: Greg Cocell is a huge fan, right?
- 12:00[SPEAKER_04]: NFL listens to Greg Cocell.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, they respect the hell out of Greg Cocell.
- 12:05[SPEAKER_04]: Among probably one of the most respected evaluators that you can even talk about.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_04]: and lands are lying and sir lines another one and then also a big dude big dude many weather that's that's his guy that's that's his that's his dude and he's he's training with him and he's uh and he's a big fan of his he talks him up all the time
- 12:30[SPEAKER_04]: If you've got big Duke in your corner, you've got Greg Kosel even saying, between Kayton Proctor and what's his name, Monroe Freeling, actually.
- 12:42[SPEAKER_04]: These are the two tackles that he trusts in the NFL on third down, you know, in past protection, specifically.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_04]: because of their make-up and their ability.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_04]: I think you've got the right guys talking about you.
- 12:59[SPEAKER_04]: I think you've got the right age to get people excited.
- 13:03[SPEAKER_04]: and I think that you've got the right physical dimensions, you know, now that he's down to three fit down to 3502 and probably still going south when the NFL is through with him, it's just going to be all about that the way that his professionalism and the way that he practices and the way that he takes care of his body from here.
- 13:27[SPEAKER_04]: As a now fresh he's not even going to he's going to get drafted he's not even going to be able to order a beer to celebrate right you know so so I think that that all takes account and I actually am a very really big fan of his I wouldn't be I mean a lot of people would be shocked if he went to Miami at 11 year overall I think a lot of people would be you know not very excited about it because there are there's some games early in the season particularly
- 13:56[SPEAKER_04]: I would be a fan of it, I think it would be a good right tackle, right guard, play guard at first, then play tackle.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_04]: I think that I think he's got a bright future.
- 14:08[SPEAKER_02]: There's some good people talking about him.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_02]: To say that he's been, you know, out there he's been thinking outside the box or been off the reservation on a few evaluations.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that he has been, but he's never been one of these loud, hot take guys, okay?
- 14:31[SPEAKER_02]: Like, if he says something, he really does believe it.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_02]: Like, he's not trying to get a click on NFL.com of all places, all right?
- 14:39[SPEAKER_02]: And his evaluation of Hayden Proctor actually shocks me because his evaluation is almost identical to Francis Mauenoa.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_02]: Like he has them almost identical prospects, which moves me to 30.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_02]: I was going to say that getting proctor was a target at 30, but if we believe all these people, that's probably likely not going to happen.
- 15:01[SPEAKER_02]: So what do you see?
- 15:03[SPEAKER_02]: And I'll start with you Simon.
- 15:04[SPEAKER_02]: What do you see as far as 30 on the offensive line?
- 15:07[SPEAKER_02]: Because let's face it.
- 15:09[SPEAKER_02]: Dolphins have to leave this draft.
- 15:11[SPEAKER_02]: forward thinking at least at tackle because we don't have a third and they might not have a second attack or a right tackle, especially past this this is coming season.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_02]: So that's to think about drafting something there.
- 15:26[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, there's two players really that stand out until if you took them at tackle specifically, and that's Maxwell Ehanachor of Arizona State who is one of the most intriguing players in the entire draft, you know,
- 15:39[SPEAKER_01]: didn't play a game of American football.
- 15:42[SPEAKER_01]: Didn't start a game of American football till 2022.
- 15:45[SPEAKER_01]: Like he was born in Nigeria.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_01]: He was a soccer kid, played soccer until he was 13, came to the U.S., a six foot six, 320 pounds.
- 15:53[SPEAKER_01]: It immediately put in a pair of basketball shorts and became like a powerful word.
- 15:57[SPEAKER_01]: He just...
- 15:57[SPEAKER_01]: you know, inside the paint.
- 16:00[SPEAKER_01]: He went to school.
- 16:01[SPEAKER_01]: He didn't even have a football team.
- 16:04[SPEAKER_01]: And eventually, he went to junior college to play basketball.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_01]: He joined the football team because somebody said, you look like you'd be a really good player.
- 16:12[SPEAKER_01]: Didn't do anything for a year because he had no idea about the game.
- 16:16[SPEAKER_01]: Was learning the game developing his body.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_01]: Went out 2022.
- 16:18[SPEAKER_01]: He was unbelievable.
- 16:19[SPEAKER_01]: Went to Arizona State for two years, where he had 2,000, 100 snaps in two seasons.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_01]: And it looks like an absolute dancing bear on the right hand side like it's all kind of athletic, quick twitch, fast movement, fast feet, just, you know, all this kind of great stuff really well put together thick in the lower half, 34 inch arms, gets off a snap quickly, really bendy like, he's a good player, he's a really good player, but he's so raw, you know, and you could easily see him at the end of round one, you know, when my variable doesn't have his hands all over Diana Racini, he had him all over and that's probably Hannah Chor,
- 16:53[SPEAKER_01]: at the Arizona State Pro Day, you know, you saw the video and you know, he makes an awful lot of sense for the Patriots at the end of the first round while he'd make an awful lot of sense of the Dolphins because he could probably play guard and then when Austin Jackson gets injured in week three then he can just kick outside and play tackle and look, you'll not buy in 2026 stock on the manager or you'll buy in 2028 stock on him and that's what I'm thinking of the other guys Blake Miller.
- 17:17[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, Blake Miller is the kid that essentially, um, you know, if if availability was was the best ability, then he's the, you know, he's the number one player in the draft, you know, he started every single game since the fourth game of his freshman season.
- 17:33[SPEAKER_04]: 54 as I wrote 54.
- 17:37[SPEAKER_01]: The whole thing in high school, okay, he's not Mr. Game since he started 54 game 3,788 snaps one offense for Clemson but he played four years of nasty ball without ever missing a game.
- 17:50[SPEAKER_01]: In fact, he's only ever missed two practices since the fourth game of a freshman season in high school.
- 17:56[SPEAKER_01]: He broke his wrist and was so embarrassed about missing time he had surgery over spring break so he didn't miss any practice.
- 18:02[SPEAKER_01]: and then a couple of his arm so he didn't miss more than the two that he'd already missed.
- 18:05[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, he is he's the other guy and in terms of like, you know, we've talked about whether that's whether that's the guy that we've dropped from Notre Dame, Lea Mark and Burger, whether that's Austin Jackson or whoever, you know, this is a kid that just, you know, if the best ability is availability, then he's always there.
- 18:22[SPEAKER_01]: I have a bit of an issue with him in terms of how he plays and, you know, he's a
- 18:28[SPEAKER_01]: I don't love his table, he's a decent player, but he hadn't sure is a very interesting guy.
- 18:34[SPEAKER_01]: I think if you're looking very specifically at a right tackle.
- 18:39[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and his last target, his last target in process was absolutely.
- 18:43[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it was great.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_02]: It was a star that we can.
- 18:48[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, he's really talking about Max or he's talking about the.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and it's interesting.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, all those things like that.
- 18:54[SPEAKER_01]: He's nimble in the wrong game.
- 18:55[SPEAKER_01]: He gets the second level.
- 18:56[SPEAKER_01]: I like him moves his hips through contact and more.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_01]: Turns his body like screens of play at the play in the position since he was a.
- 19:02[SPEAKER_01]: you know, freshman in, in varsity, you know, the, the leg drive Chris, there's a nice, you know, to the famous world that you just like, yeah, there's some things that you need to work on some, some, some football staff, the, the leverage staff, he, he's a two hand puncture a bit, and I think a smart, right, a smart defensive end or age rush or will knock those hands down and I'm balancing a bit, but, yeah, I mean, but boy, it's a good
- 19:30[SPEAKER_04]: I think we'll first off shout to at 11, you brought it up.
- 19:35[SPEAKER_04]: recently Simon, um, you know, the one that's sitting in front of all of us, you know, Spencer Fano, that's a lot of sense for a green bay like team to take.
- 19:49[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, if the Packer started to spend so far, no, right?
- 19:52[SPEAKER_01]: And we didn't have Sullivan, Matthew, you'd be like, well, standard.
- 19:55[SPEAKER_01]: Packers pit.
- 19:56[SPEAKER_01]: There's a Darren College Brian Belaga David,
- 20:01[SPEAKER_04]: You know, 100% and so if they were to do that and I'm not sure that actually Caden Broctor would be that kind of guy even that kind of green bay isch pick right So this is this is a little bit different, but I did I didn't want to get that before we even get to 30 because he deserves it at 30 though it's it's interesting the
- 20:26[SPEAKER_04]: The guys that you were talking about, I would flip a little bit because I am actually a big fan of Blake Miller.
- 20:32[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I don't want to be more interesting.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:35[SPEAKER_04]: Well, no, I clearly, I just would, I would probably flip the two.
- 20:38[SPEAKER_04]: And one of the things to keep it about about the Arizona State guy is, say his name for me again some.
- 20:45[SPEAKER_01]: He had Maxwell, he had equal.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_04]: He had a chore.
- 20:48[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 20:48[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, I was lost on that.
- 20:54[SPEAKER_01]: So spent to find it is far no.
- 20:56[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's far no.
- 20:59[SPEAKER_01]: He had a chore.
- 21:00[SPEAKER_01]: There's another.
- 21:00[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, there's what names for days.
- 21:05[SPEAKER_04]: But the thing to keep in mind about him is that for as young as he is in football, he's not necessarily young in age.
- 21:13[SPEAKER_04]: He's 22 and a half years old.
- 21:15[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, like so, if you're talking about a guy that's gonna need a couple of years, you're balancing that, it's a little bit of an issue.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_04]: Not a lot of it, you're not one of those 24-year-olds, he's not, but it's just something to think about as opposed to, we just talked about Caden Proctor or can't even order a beer yet.
- 21:34[SPEAKER_04]: So I think that I think that that's something to consider there, but actually I like Blake Miller.
- 21:40[SPEAKER_04]: He reminds me it's interesting because he plays, you know, he gets criticized by like Lance Zirline for playing to upright.
- 21:50[SPEAKER_04]: There are some issues there.
- 21:52[SPEAKER_04]: I think that he has kind of a very in his torso very upright stance in the way that he plays.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_04]: I think that there's a little bit of tinkering to do there.
- 22:04[SPEAKER_04]: Just a little bit of tinkering to do there.
- 22:06[SPEAKER_04]: And when you do it, there's potential breakout because he reminds me a lot of Spencer Brown is a good right tackle for the Buffalo Bills.
- 22:13[SPEAKER_04]: He reminds me also of guys that are not as tall.
- 22:19[SPEAKER_04]: Um, that played guard that played with similar back style, you know, in terms of that that torso that straight back.
- 22:28[SPEAKER_04]: Um, but, you know, watching Joe Toney in college, I was a huge fan of him at NC State, a shorter player, but he played with that.
- 22:38[SPEAKER_04]: He played with that back, that straight back like that and go way back.
- 22:42[SPEAKER_04]: Evan Mathis did too.
- 22:44[SPEAKER_04]: And those guys moved inside the guard.
- 22:46[SPEAKER_04]: They're a little bit smaller.
- 22:47[SPEAKER_04]: Obviously, this guy's a little bit taller.
- 22:49[SPEAKER_04]: He's the tackle all the way.
- 22:50[SPEAKER_04]: What I like about him is man, he can keep moving his feet.
- 22:54[SPEAKER_04]: And he takes good, he takes big strides when he gets on the move, he's a weapon.
- 23:01[SPEAKER_04]: It reminds me of some of the best stuff about Austin Jackson's game, really.
- 23:06[SPEAKER_04]: And then I think that when he's keeping his feet moving, he can really blow things up and put on some very, very exciting tape.
- 23:17[SPEAKER_04]: And I just think it's gonna take a little bit of tinkering.
- 23:20[SPEAKER_04]: That's all with this guy.
- 23:21[SPEAKER_04]: And you're not looking for guys.
- 23:22[SPEAKER_04]: He is 22 years old as well.
- 23:25[SPEAKER_04]: You're not necessarily looking for guys that are the finished product already.
- 23:30[SPEAKER_04]: You're looking for guys that maybe you tinker and you unlock them a little bit.
- 23:35[SPEAKER_04]: Like we, nobody had as many problems as Patrick Paul did in college, right?
- 23:39[SPEAKER_04]: You know, nobody had as many problems as
- 23:42[SPEAKER_04]: Well, I mean, Patrick Paul did that as many problems as Austin Jackson going in college, right?
- 23:47[SPEAKER_04]: Um, but, you know, some tank rings, some to some tutelage, um, and they, uh, they came along.
- 23:53[SPEAKER_04]: And I think that you could really unlock Blake Miller.
- 23:56[SPEAKER_04]: He could be an exciting player.
- 23:57[SPEAKER_04]: He could be a very exciting, uh, right tackle for the team.
- 24:01[SPEAKER_04]: So I would be looking at him at 30.
- 24:03[SPEAKER_04]: I think you're absolutely right there.
- 24:04[SPEAKER_04]: Um, uh, Ecanichor wouldn't, would you say?
- 24:08[SPEAKER_01]: I think I'm doing it.
- 24:09[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I think you're right on there.
- 24:11[SPEAKER_04]: He is one of those guys.
- 24:12[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know how you feel about Caleb Lomo that that high.
- 24:16[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean
- 24:18[SPEAKER_01]: I don't love his tape necessarily, I just wonder where he's going to play with us, you know, I mean, he's a left tackle and I don't think he's got the upside necessarily of the he had a short, and also I think he's spectacularly passive Chris, I just don't think he's right.
- 24:38[SPEAKER_04]: As opposed to, I mean, when you're comparing him, you got right tackle left
- 24:48[SPEAKER_01]: See the high line skills that are going to make it one of the investor first round pick and I just don't think he's.
- 24:54[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he's just so passive.
- 24:55[SPEAKER_01]: It's just like, wow, like just going in, just going hit somebody mate just going like you know everything's fine.
- 25:00[SPEAKER_01]: It's just like, come on, just get there's no power necessary.
- 25:04[SPEAKER_01]: There's no force as no edge.
- 25:05[SPEAKER_01]: There's no.
- 25:07[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, it's just a little bit, yeah, he's executing, but, you know, yeah, just no, only just the one thing I'll finish up by saying and pointing out is looking at through the NFL and the draft histories and stuff like that, the NFL's getting better and better at sorting these guys out and sorting out the tackle classes and the offensive line in general.
- 25:32[SPEAKER_04]: You're not finding as many of those zactoms or, you know, a guy last year that I liked that way in the day three kind of Marcosembo or warm McClendon was another kind of day three like I you knew would be day three.
- 25:48[SPEAKER_04]: But you still liked and ends up starting in the NFL and it's a playing well in the NFL.
- 25:56[SPEAKER_04]: You're not finding as many of those guys anymore.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_04]: It's getting to where if you look at even the guys that you think of that, one part in the draft process you would have thought, well that looks like a pretty good value.
- 26:08[SPEAKER_04]: Roger Rosengart, and I've happened to think you play pretty well for the Baltimore Ravens.
- 26:12[SPEAKER_04]: At one point you looked at them and you're like, well, that looks like you could be a good value play, you know, like maybe maybe around three, maybe maybe if it slips in a day three, where did he go if you didn't take him at 11 30 or 43 you didn't get them.
- 26:25[SPEAKER_04]: right for Roger Rosengarden and the same goes with several other of these these offensive tackles that actually play in the NFL they play really well.
- 26:34[SPEAKER_04]: The NFL is sorting them really well lately and so my fear is that if the dolphins don't commit to one of those guys and maybe they're just hunting on that position and all together maybe who knows.
- 26:50[SPEAKER_04]: But if they don't get them out, you know, at 11 or Monroe feeling or freely or Spencer Fano or Kaden Proctor, or they don't, you know, mop up with, you know, a Blake Miller or a Ehandachor at at 30, I'm not sure they're getting one that's worthwhile, you know, you know what I mean?
- 27:11[SPEAKER_04]: Like as you go through it, now there's there's some diamonds in the rough.
- 27:14[SPEAKER_04]: We'll talk about those.
- 27:15[SPEAKER_04]: But I mean, like,
- 27:16[SPEAKER_04]: I'm not sure you are.
- 27:17[SPEAKER_04]: I'm not you might be done.
- 27:19[SPEAKER_04]: You might be done if you go pass 11 30 and 43 and you're just you haven't done it yet.
- 27:25[SPEAKER_02]: All right, moving on to day two.
- 27:27[SPEAKER_02]: There's a there's a couple of guards like I don't think we meant we mentioned the guy from Oregon and Prignon.
- 27:34[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's the first rounder.
- 27:36[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I think it's a possibility he's going to go in the first round or he's a target at 30 if they're going to do so.
- 27:42[SPEAKER_01]: The only issue in prayer is 25 and in terms of whether it's the 24 and a half.
- 27:48[SPEAKER_01]: But I hope you 25 that would have been more yeah.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_01]: So that's the one thing that, you know, I think that that top five guards for me, whether that's you want a pregnant bassoon test.
- 27:59[SPEAKER_01]: Jalen Farmer, Keelem Rutledge and again, you got down to Jeremiah saying Rutledge is in play at
- 28:04[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, is that a, you know, pick three, I think he's more of a gap power gun, I think actually.
- 28:11[SPEAKER_01]: Only have a played right guard, but to me, those five, and then you got, you know, Carver Willis, and you got Jeremiah Ryan's got, I'll do it with my fun tape of any player.
- 28:21[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, like, I was sending you guys clips of him just talking those, chucking those five star, Georgia guys around, just like, whoop, whoop, whoop, whoop, whoop, whoop, whoop, whoop, whoop, whoop, whoop, whoop, whoop, whoop, whoop, whoop, whoop, whoop, whoop, whoop, whoop, whoop, whoop, whoop, whoop, whoop, whoop, whoop, whoop, whoop, whoop, whoop, whoop, whoop, whoop, whoop, whoop, whoop, whoop, whoop, whoop, whoop, whoop, whoop, whoop, whoop, whoop
- 28:39[SPEAKER_02]: I got to mention one guy because he's very popular in at least in in draft twitter and that's Jennings Dunker you're not supposed to you're not supposed to scout the helmet.
- 28:51[SPEAKER_02]: So he has the right helmet and he looks at the fabulous he looks absolutely fabulous running around out there with his right hair and his look I don't I don't think he's very good at football and maybe I'm wrong
- 29:06[SPEAKER_01]: There's no rhyme.
- 29:07[SPEAKER_01]: Tony had a skin head, nobody would care around.
- 29:10[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's a six or seven surround pick, and I suspect he's going to go up 100.
- 29:14[SPEAKER_01]: And I, the life of me, do not understand it.
- 29:17[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I watched the Wisconsin tape.
- 29:18[SPEAKER_01]: It's the worst hate of any player in this drama.
- 29:21[SPEAKER_01]: It is.
- 29:22[SPEAKER_01]: It is.
- 29:23[SPEAKER_01]: It is horrific, like the very first play is one of the worst
- 29:30[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I come barely speak, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so
- 29:42[SPEAKER_01]: He's got no ability to play speed to power guys whatsoever.
- 29:45[SPEAKER_01]: He's constantly overextending.
- 29:47[SPEAKER_01]: He bends at the waist the entire time.
- 29:49[SPEAKER_01]: He's so stiff.
- 29:50[SPEAKER_01]: He's got all this play strength.
- 29:52[SPEAKER_01]: He has no idea what to do with.
- 29:54[SPEAKER_01]: He can't block on the move.
- 29:56[SPEAKER_01]: He lunges.
- 29:56[SPEAKER_01]: He falls off blocks in space.
- 29:58[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, somebody said to me like, oh, go back and watch this.
- 30:02[SPEAKER_01]: I watched three games running and go back and watch this.
- 30:03[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, maybe I'm just getting wrong.
- 30:05[SPEAKER_01]: Somebody's like, talking to him up.
- 30:06[SPEAKER_01]: And he's clearly a great guy.
- 30:08[SPEAKER_01]: Like, you know, he's a bit old school, no plans, all that sort of stuff.
- 30:11[SPEAKER_01]: He's really intelligent, like digging into his background, and he's like a really fun guy, right?
- 30:17[SPEAKER_01]: So I went back and watched three more games and it was worse than the first three.
- 30:20[SPEAKER_01]: And I was just like, I just he's just to do not get it at all.
- 30:25[SPEAKER_01]: It'll be out the league in three years.
- 30:27[SPEAKER_01]: I don't get it.
- 30:29[SPEAKER_01]: And also, he's got unbelievable injury history.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_01]: Like he had a broken systemoid bone in his final prep season, which carried over to his first year in college and was a real big problem.
- 30:39[SPEAKER_01]: He had then had surgery within first two weeks, the Hawkeye's for something else, put it into his freshman season for it, even began.
- 30:46[SPEAKER_01]: He, where are we?
- 30:47[SPEAKER_01]: He had leg issues in 2023, he missed a big 10-champer sheet game with a leg problem, he had an off-season shoulder surgery in 2024.
- 30:52[SPEAKER_01]: He missed two games at a season after knee surgery to clean up his knee, he then underwent surgery in 2025
- 31:02[SPEAKER_01]: The required cart is cleaning.
- 31:04[SPEAKER_01]: Then he left the 235 USC game early with a lower body issue and didn't return and the rumours He's had offseason surgery since the end of the I mean like the guys already held together with Baylor tape Baylor tape and it he can't play like I just don't get it.
- 31:20[SPEAKER_01]: I do not get it at all So all that said all that said all that said
- 31:25[SPEAKER_04]: If we drop in our sheep's milk, my dark horse pick.
- 31:29[SPEAKER_04]: We love it, but your sleeper, sleeper offensive lineman is getting stuck.
- 31:35[SPEAKER_04]: No, I think that I think that you have it right with the the guards.
- 31:39[SPEAKER_04]: I'm a huge fan of a manual pregnant.
- 31:42[SPEAKER_04]: I think that he's a burst rounder all the way.
- 31:45[SPEAKER_04]: If it weren't for the age,
- 31:49[SPEAKER_04]: You know, dare I say that if you if you just if you didn't know any names, you didn't know anything about these guys, you throw on the tape of you want a and pregnant and you're like, well, they're pretty good.
- 32:02[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, you know, for each other with each other here, I think he's up there.
- 32:07[SPEAKER_04]: I think he's up there and he did go viral because of that pick.
- 32:11[SPEAKER_04]: picture of him with his, you know, and his work out gear, um, and he has a amount of knowledge.
- 32:17[SPEAKER_04]: He's there with his parents, like these are, yeah, he's right for me.
- 32:21[SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely massive individual and, uh, he had a very much vertical crest, like the explosion done, really.
- 32:27[SPEAKER_04]: He's a good athlete.
- 32:28[SPEAKER_04]: He's a really good athlete.
- 32:29[SPEAKER_01]: And the way they come.
- 32:31[SPEAKER_04]: Watching his tape, I compared it to like, you know, continuing to bite into like an A5 stake or something like that because it's just like every every new snap is something cool, you know, is is just really something to appreciate.
- 32:45[SPEAKER_04]: So huge fan of his chase besonatus is of the a lot of big fans.
- 32:50[SPEAKER_04]: I haven't a like him a lot to me.
- 32:52[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know that I put him up there with pregnant, but then again, again, the age is is an issue.
- 32:57[SPEAKER_04]: He might have had the unfair advantage against these 20 year olds out there.
- 33:01[SPEAKER_04]: the manual might have.
- 33:03[SPEAKER_01]: So maybe 16 pennilies the last two years, who would have the same distance bounce?
- 33:09[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, but he is this and out on that offensive line.
- 33:14[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I just say an end and a good overall player.
- 33:19[SPEAKER_04]: Keylon Rutledge, I don't think he's, uh, I think his feet are heavier on tape than they are in testing.
- 33:24[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 33:25[SPEAKER_04]: Um, and so, you know, how do you how do you reconcile that is, uh, is something, but he is a big nasty dude, uh, he plays nasty football.
- 33:36[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, and I think that the NFL's really kind of king on that lately.
- 33:39[SPEAKER_04]: Um, so I like all of those guys, uh, if you're talking about day two on the with the interior offensive line, you know, anybody there, obviously you're not talking about you want to at that point, but um, if you're talking about pregnant or peasantess, I'm not going to get upset at any of them, particularly if you on the offensive tackle side, if you do get somehow a crack at Blake Miller at that 43 spot, I think that that's when you're really cooking on gas,
- 34:07[SPEAKER_04]: So, yeah, it's a really good one, and then when we go beyond that, that's where we'll talk about next, I think, is where things start to get kind of dicey to me.
- 34:20[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, moving on to day three, I have, uh, I have a very odd board for day three.
- 34:25[SPEAKER_02]: I love three centers, but, you know, you're going to bring back, hopefully, air on brewer, and you're going to need a backup unless, you know, maybe like Andrew Meyer, but it's a new regime.
- 34:36[SPEAKER_02]: But I think all these, these guys do offer some value as far as kicking out to guard in a pinch.
- 34:42[SPEAKER_02]: I believe one of them can play.
- 34:44[SPEAKER_02]: on day one.
- 34:45[SPEAKER_02]: And my three centers are Trasun of Texas A&M, Jake Slot or Florida, who I like the best of the three I'm going to name, and Pat Cougan of Indiana, who I absolutely love.
- 34:55[SPEAKER_02]: So I might ask me, you know, like James Brokermire, no, because I remember the first four games of the season when he was almost benched, because he couldn't handle power.
- 35:03[SPEAKER_02]: Now, he finished up pretty strong in the final 12.
- 35:07[SPEAKER_02]: But is he the guy that almost got benched in first four, or is he the guy that finished up in the last 12?
- 35:14[SPEAKER_02]: I'll find out as a UDFA, but I'm not using a draft pick on him.
- 35:16[SPEAKER_02]: But those are the three centers I really like, and I like Jake'slaughter as
- 35:22[SPEAKER_02]: as a possible starter on this team.
- 35:25[SPEAKER_02]: Your thoughts on those three salmon, then we'll get Chris in here for his day three guys.
- 35:29[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, zoom is a very zoom is a real green bay player.
- 35:34[SPEAKER_01]: You know, he's played a left-hack horse, played right-hack or four-year star, a member of the 3000 snap club.
- 35:39[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I just thought his take was really, really good.
- 35:42[SPEAKER_01]: And I think yeah, his best spot might be a center, but I don't think, he's a five position player for me.
- 35:52[SPEAKER_01]: I don't love Jake's law, he's my tenth rank centre.
- 35:56[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, that's not true, I don't like him at all.
- 36:01[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's really sound solid, just kind of fundamentally like Nika where he's just a decent player.
- 36:09[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's a good fit for his own scheme.
- 36:10[SPEAKER_01]: I actually think if you're going to get a kind of a own scheme guy who
- 36:14[SPEAKER_01]: who mirrors what Brua does.
- 36:18[SPEAKER_01]: That's Parker Brailsford, Valabama, who I just thought, I just think his tape is really, really good.
- 36:23[SPEAKER_01]: He's undersized, he's lacking the two 90s, but he's super, super strong.
- 36:28[SPEAKER_01]: His technique, his hands, his movement skills are very, very brewery in terms of what he does.
- 36:34[SPEAKER_01]: And then the other guy who reminds me of a green bay player is Brian Parker of Duke who
- 36:43[SPEAKER_01]: And it is probably going to be a center, and I just think again, another really, really interesting player, really low pressure rate, all of those kind of things.
- 36:51[SPEAKER_01]: I just thought, you know, the work you did for blocking for Dario Mensa was really good, and yeah.
- 36:58[SPEAKER_01]: to me, he's another green bay archetype in terms of just that multi-position player.
- 37:04[SPEAKER_01]: He comes in and you're like, well, you might be a senator, but actually you can start for a season at Wright Tackle, and I need you at left gut, you know, in that kind of the same way that they did with multiple players.
- 37:14[SPEAKER_01]: Well, that's Sean Ryan, who was a left-tangle rancor.
- 37:18[SPEAKER_01]: UCLA, who came in and played a season at guard now as a starting senator or whether that's
- 37:22[SPEAKER_01]: The guy who's just gone to Cleveland who they can't Elton Jenkins, who played left tackle, right tackle, right guard, center, you know, or whoever.
- 37:30[SPEAKER_01]: It's a, you know, it's that Tom.
- 37:31[SPEAKER_01]: So Parker is that kind of, is that kind of guy?
- 37:36[SPEAKER_01]: So, so yeah, I think, I think those are the interesting guys in terms of the girlfriends when it does.
- 37:41[SPEAKER_01]: Especially when it comes to centers.
- 37:42[SPEAKER_01]: And then you kick on through the guards.
- 37:44[SPEAKER_01]: that there's some guys like I kind of like, if again, there's Clupers all right, there's a kid in the night with Josh Geski, like I like DJ Campbell at Texas, there's all right, I've talked about Jeremiah right, Mike and Morris in Georgia, okay, you know, thanks kind of question.
- 37:58[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, for these kind of Caden Barnett and Wyoming's not a bad player.
- 38:01[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, I think the strength of the guard classes in that is in that early portion, Chris.
- 38:09[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, exactly.
- 38:10[SPEAKER_01]: And then I think you're just looking at some of those, and then the people up out of Trezu and I think is a classic Green Bay pick and therefore, we can send a classic Miami pick.
- 38:21[SPEAKER_04]: And just to reemphasize again, the NFL or so have been so good assorting these out lately that the good the guys that we're talking Brian Parker I want to I'm not surprised at all he goes on day two Yeah, I think I think that he's a I think that he's a I think that he's a guy that was sort of a a revel a revelation in all star practices moving to center
- 38:42[SPEAKER_04]: just looks so natural and so at home there.
- 38:46[SPEAKER_04]: So I wouldn't really be surprised if he, I mean, he's a five, he is a five position player, just like Green Bay.
- 38:54[SPEAKER_04]: And I don't know if I've heard this correctly or not, maybe somebody can correct me on it, but I believe that, you know, speaking of the availability thing and you mentioned that with, um, with, you know, that's played all the way back to high school.
- 39:11[SPEAKER_04]: My, you know, Blake.
- 39:13[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 39:15[SPEAKER_04]: I think they had a very specific requirement for that in Green Bay, like about how many seasons you have to have started, you know, kind of in an unbroken manner, that to show that you have that longevity, particularly in an offensive line position.
- 39:34[SPEAKER_04]: And perhaps I'm wrong on that, but that is something I've heard into something that I wouldn't make sense considering how they speak about it, how they speak about the reliability and the availability of that position.
- 39:46[SPEAKER_04]: Reliability factor has always been really high to me in that system.
- 39:51[SPEAKER_04]: So I think you're looking at Brian Parker, he's a very reliable guy.
- 39:57[SPEAKER_04]: Another guy that I would bring up, well, two guys that I would bring up for day three, that could be interesting or even day two, is Jude Bowery from Boston College.
- 40:07[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, partly because one of our offensive line coaches is already coached him and Jeff Haffley recruited him.
- 40:15[SPEAKER_04]: Um, and so, uh, the, um, that would be mad apple bomb and already, uh, already coached him at Boston College and in Jeff Affleys are recruited him, but going beyond that, the guy has really long arms and really good feet and he kind of has a habit of making the position look easy.
- 40:34[SPEAKER_04]: when he's playing.
- 40:36[SPEAKER_04]: I don't think he's awkward out there.
- 40:38[SPEAKER_04]: I think that he's very he's very smooth and natural And I think I wouldn't be surprised.
- 40:43[SPEAKER_04]: It's one of those guys that I said if you get beyond 11 30 and 43 you might be wasting your time He's one of the very few that I'd be like well, maybe that's not a waste of time if you go for that in the at the end of the third round You know what I mean?
- 40:57[SPEAKER_04]: So So that would Jude Bowery be one of those guys and the other one would who is a day three guy
- 41:03[SPEAKER_04]: And like I've said before, there have been some guys that you knew we're going to be day three, that I think we're still worth it.
- 41:09[SPEAKER_04]: Warren McClendon is a starter for the Rams right now.
- 41:11[SPEAKER_04]: And I think he's playing really good football, Marcus Embo.
- 41:15[SPEAKER_04]: I think he's got a future at Wright Tackle when the Giants sort of out.
- 41:20[SPEAKER_04]: And then Zach Tom, of course, is the classic.
- 41:23[SPEAKER_04]: I think that Amil Wagner from Notre Dame might have that.
- 41:28[SPEAKER_04]: He stood out right away at all start practices as a guy that knows what he's doing.
- 41:32[SPEAKER_04]: He's got long arms.
- 41:33[SPEAKER_04]: He's got, you know, he's got good, he's got good body.
- 41:36[SPEAKER_04]: He's got good stance.
- 41:37[SPEAKER_04]: He's got his movement skills.
- 41:40[SPEAKER_04]: It was a different, it was a different cut of beef from the other guys at that all start, those all start practices and it showed.
- 41:48[SPEAKER_04]: And I think that he might be worth it in the day three area to just take a stab on.
- 41:53[SPEAKER_04]: And I know the dolphins are interested in him.
- 41:56[SPEAKER_04]: So,
- 41:56[SPEAKER_04]: Um, they did, uh, I believe they do zoom all with him or something like it's been reported and not smassy here.
- 42:03[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 42:03[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 42:04[SPEAKER_01]: They were Travis Buck, the Memphis kid who's type I, yeah.
- 42:07[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 42:08[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, uh, yes, uh, like, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh uh, uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh
- 42:20[SPEAKER_02]: You know, so yeah, count me in on those.
- 42:23[SPEAKER_01]: Like the Aga pounds of Ole Miss is a good day guys.
- 42:26[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I thought he was, he could be a shot.
- 42:29[SPEAKER_04]: He's one of the few that it's just like, once you get to a certain point, it's like, yeah, you know, he's one of the few that it's like, yeah, I could take a shot on him.
- 42:36[SPEAKER_01]: I actually put in the job of pounds as a solid left tackle prospect, who reminds me of Green Maize Rashid Walker, which again, what's interesting actually, the Greenbeve got there's a website called the Acme Packing Company, and through for years, and I know they're in there just checks.
- 42:51[SPEAKER_01]: There for years, they've been doing a kind of a thresholds board for people that meet the thresholds of Greenbepeaks over, and they've done it for many, many years, and the thresholds players at on the offensive line,
- 43:04[SPEAKER_01]: is 300 plus pounds, 180, 180, a 1.8 to 10 yards split or less, a 475 short shot or less, and a 783 final less.
- 43:14[SPEAKER_01]: There are 7 qualifying players.
- 43:16[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want to have the guests who those seven players are?
- 43:20[SPEAKER_01]: Well, some of the ones that we've not already mentioned for them
- 43:28[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, because I know some I've looking at some of the testing earlier, um, uh, who else who else, who else.
- 43:36[SPEAKER_04]: Well, the first off, how I know is one of them is played by the one of them.
- 43:40[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Blake Miller too.
- 43:43[SPEAKER_04]: Um, Is Brian Parker one of them?
- 43:46[SPEAKER_04]: I'm just sure.
- 43:47[SPEAKER_01]: No, I'm not.
- 43:48[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 43:50[SPEAKER_01]: There's two pure centers.
- 43:52[SPEAKER_01]: A God.
- 43:53[SPEAKER_01]: uh two guards and three tackles all three right tackles.
- 43:58[SPEAKER_04]: I should get a proton made that list right.
- 44:00[SPEAKER_01]: No, now in a phono Miller, Rutledge, Sam Hedge, Logan Jones and J. Gipper and of Kentucky.
- 44:10[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, Yucker and you bigger Burton.
- 44:12[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 44:13[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, yeah, that's um.
- 44:15[SPEAKER_04]: That's another one that I heard a lot of chatter about.
- 44:18[SPEAKER_04]: Honestly, coming out of that, that I'll start.
- 44:20[SPEAKER_04]: Like, there are some people that I know that are associated with that all-star game that wouldn't shut up.
- 44:28[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
- 44:29[SPEAKER_02]: So.
- 44:30[SPEAKER_02]: All right, we're going to go to break and when we come back, we're going to finish up really with interior defensive line because next week we're doing line backers and edge players, I will include some 5 techs in there because of right now Jeff halfway wanted to call a defense with a 5 tech, I don't believe he has one on the roster.
- 44:47[SPEAKER_02]: I don't believe he does, but first these words.
- 44:50[SPEAKER_02]: All right, and we're back.
- 44:52[SPEAKER_02]: All right, there's two schools of thought here.
- 44:54[SPEAKER_02]: One of the schools, one school is, well, you know, they did draft three defensive tackles last year.
- 45:01[SPEAKER_02]: Zig beggars, Jordan Fubbs, working backwards to forwards and Ken's Grant.
- 45:06[SPEAKER_02]: And you should be pretty happy with that.
- 45:07[SPEAKER_02]: That's three defensive tackles and maybe you could sprinkle in a day three guy and you're done.
- 45:12[SPEAKER_02]: That's one school of thought.
- 45:12[SPEAKER_02]: The other school of thought is, well, you know, you kind of like Jordan Fubbs, but he's a zero.
- 45:18[SPEAKER_02]: one shade.
- 45:19[SPEAKER_02]: Seek bigger's looks like a specialist so far and Kenneth Grant was something there was nothing there was something again we don't know and maybe they're going to invest once again on the interior defensive line.
- 45:32[SPEAKER_02]: What school of thought are you of Simon?
- 45:36[SPEAKER_01]: It's pretty clear that that's what they're looking at and I think the inability to stop the run last year was a big issue and you know they've brought in Cady Mcdonald, they've brought in Christen Miller, you know, to the kind of the big dogs, the top four guys that I would have on the interior defensive line list.
- 45:56[SPEAKER_01]: So I think clearly they're not done there and look McDonald is very, very, very, very, very specific in what he does, you know, I think he's the
- 46:05[SPEAKER_01]: You know, the big wide broad nose tackle, he's a zero technique, he's a very impressive kind of combination of quickness and leverage and snap back power in his hands to reset the line of scrimmage.
- 46:17[SPEAKER_01]: And he's a, you know, this is a guy, he's a guy to me that turns first and 10 into second and 10 in terms of just how he plays the run, you know.
- 46:24[SPEAKER_01]: But he's, I mean, not a threat to threaten the score as in terms of sacks, you know, I mean,
- 46:33[SPEAKER_01]: not at all.
- 46:35[SPEAKER_01]: But just in terms of being able to play the round, which then frees up and it's hard to do some things that, you know, because I don't think he's pure, I think Grant has more twitch.
- 46:44[SPEAKER_01]: in terms of being able to impact the pocket a little bit more.
- 46:47[SPEAKER_01]: And I never thought that his run stuff was compelling Michigan.
- 46:51[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't know, he was compelling last season either necessarily.
- 46:53[SPEAKER_01]: There were certainly some good things.
- 46:56[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, I think, I think with Donald is interesting.
- 47:01[SPEAKER_01]: And it was to Miller, like, I know our friend Carl Crabstick's Miller is the best defensive tackle in the draft.
- 47:06[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's a very strong one.
- 47:07[SPEAKER_01]: That's very good.
- 47:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he's got some really good pass rush upside.
- 47:13[SPEAKER_01]: like, I don't mean he's necessarily at the level of the Georgia guys in the last few years, Jan and Carter and the other kid at the Eagles, but he is a good player.
- 47:22[SPEAKER_01]: And again, he's another baby, he's very young.
- 47:26[SPEAKER_01]: He's had some of the field issues, it's a couple of arrests and those sorts of things, which, but you know, you look at him do some of the, the Bryant
- 47:33[SPEAKER_01]: I loved coming out of Texas and is now one of the best interior difference of line in the league.
- 47:38[SPEAKER_01]: You know, when he goes down to the one knee stuff, the drop knee stuff, you see Kristen Miller doing those sorts of things.
- 47:43[SPEAKER_01]: You know, the leverage, the pad level, the the anchor draw fight.
- 47:47[SPEAKER_01]: He, I think he's a really, again, this is another play at Pete for me, this is another play at 30 in terms of Miller.
- 47:54[SPEAKER_01]: And maybe McDonald's as well.
- 47:55[SPEAKER_01]: But it's clear there's an interest there because why are you bothering bringing them in if, you know, I think if you There's outliers like a tie Simpson potentially in terms of why you bring tie in and there are reasons for that.
- 48:08[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, I don't think you bring in two defensive tackles.
- 48:13[SPEAKER_01]: If you don't have an idea that you think well maybe I might drop a defensive tacklet pick there.
- 48:17[SPEAKER_01]: So and that they're not sold Chris on exactly what they have on the roster and whether that means
- 48:22[SPEAKER_01]: they're planning for a future without Zack Sealer at some point or whether that's, you know, whether Sealer gets drafted or whether or not, you know, that in 2028, that Zack's probably not going to be on the roster anymore.
- 48:33[SPEAKER_01]: So you're planning for that too.
- 48:35[SPEAKER_01]: So interesting to see, but it's clear that in terms of those defensive linemen, that those guys are in play to me, Kayla Banks is the actually the gold standard, because I'm believable, but the dolphins are
- 48:53[SPEAKER_04]: Where do you stand, I'll ask the question, where do you stand on Peter Woods?
- 48:57[SPEAKER_04]: There were ease, there was the device of guy, right?
- 48:59[SPEAKER_01]: The device of guy, look, I think you've been a bit of a victim of his own talent, a little bit at Chris over the last couple of years, because he's just been moved around to plug gaps rather than actually play his natural free technique position, and I thought that the decline in production and the questions over his output are actually down to the alignment.
- 49:21[SPEAKER_01]: in 2035.
- 49:23[SPEAKER_01]: He's not a nose tackle, you know, he paid 31% over the tackle in 2024.
- 49:28[SPEAKER_01]: And frankly, that's not where he's going to be damaged either.
- 49:30[SPEAKER_01]: You know, to me, he's a quick, lean, powerful, three technique.
- 49:33[SPEAKER_01]: You know, it's a good base, a high ceiling.
- 49:35[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, he's got flaws.
- 49:37[SPEAKER_01]: You know, there's, he's got the Jalen Phillips kind of mentality of, that he's the nearly sacker, you know what I mean?
- 49:42[SPEAKER_01]: It's tackle rate last year was 18.2% which is way too high.
- 49:46[SPEAKER_01]: Let's
- 49:47[SPEAKER_02]: Sam, if I were you, if I were you, I'd create that stat, start a website and everything.
- 49:52[SPEAKER_02]: Nearly sex.
- 49:53[SPEAKER_02]: Well, these are the links that nearly sex.
- 49:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 49:57[SPEAKER_01]: I like you.
- 49:57[SPEAKER_01]: And again, an absolute baby.
- 49:59[SPEAKER_01]: He only just turned 21 a couple of weeks ago.
- 50:01[SPEAKER_01]: He reminded me of Christian Wilkins in terms of what he does.
- 50:05[SPEAKER_01]: And to me, he's just an ideal three technique.
- 50:06[SPEAKER_01]: He should be a talk 25 pic.
- 50:09[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, look, on Peter Woods, I watched him a ton.
- 50:13[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to completely, I'm going to completely excuse his play in 2025.
- 50:19[SPEAKER_02]: It wasn't up to the standard I thought I was going to be.
- 50:22[SPEAKER_02]: Look, it's the NIL era.
- 50:24[SPEAKER_02]: And sometimes you just have a dumpster fire that develops on your roster.
- 50:29[SPEAKER_02]: And Clemson was that dumpster fire this past year.
- 50:32[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to go ahead and excuse him.
- 50:34[SPEAKER_02]: Now, somebody's going to come back to me and say, well,
- 50:39[SPEAKER_02]: Well, it's different.
- 50:39[SPEAKER_02]: It's a, it's a pros, you know, it's, you're getting paid paid.
- 50:43[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 50:44[SPEAKER_02]: Like, this is the last stop.
- 50:45[SPEAKER_02]: There is no other level.
- 50:47[SPEAKER_02]: So it's, it's a little bit different than a college dumpster fire where you're, you're dealing with an NIL.
- 50:52[SPEAKER_02]: Let me ask you about a guy, both of you, if you could chime in on this, I'll start with you Simon.
- 50:58[SPEAKER_02]: I love watching this guy play all season long.
- 51:02[SPEAKER_02]: but he didn't test all that well and he has been absolutely trashed by anybody who's maybe you're trashed them too on your book, but everybody who's writing a draft book has absolutely trashed this guy, but I loved his tape this past year and I loved watching him play from Texas Tech Lee Hunter, your thoughts Simon.
- 51:23[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm massive trashed Walker, unbelievable personally, I think
- 51:31[SPEAKER_01]: Look, he's a, I think he's enormous, obviously, physically.
- 51:35[SPEAKER_01]: I think you lost weight coming into the convi.
- 51:37[SPEAKER_01]: I think he carries a bit of bad weight and he has super, super skinny legs.
- 51:42[SPEAKER_01]: But you look at what he did in the very first game of the playoff against Oregon, where he just sidestepped his man and locked, no with intent for a four or five yard loss.
- 51:51[SPEAKER_01]: That's what he's capable of.
- 51:53[SPEAKER_01]: And I think he changes direction way more quickly than you'd expect for a guy of his size.
- 51:58[SPEAKER_01]: But I just think he's most valuable trait as his football intelligence is eyes.
- 52:01[SPEAKER_01]: He always always knows exactly where the balls go away.
- 52:04[SPEAKER_01]: he can move down the line to be able to follow the football.
- 52:10[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, I don't think he's a bad player.
- 52:12[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's a solid second round player.
- 52:14[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's padded pop up way too high at times.
- 52:17[SPEAKER_01]: The thing I found most offensive was that his nickname is the fridge after the Imperie, but you had no idea who William Perry was, which I thought was really up to that thing.
- 52:25[SPEAKER_01]: I do, come one, fight.
- 52:29[SPEAKER_02]: Good.
- 52:30[SPEAKER_02]: We're old people.
- 52:31[SPEAKER_02]: We are old people.
- 52:32[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
- 52:33[SPEAKER_01]: We'll give you a big name like there was people today.
- 52:37[SPEAKER_02]: Today was Mark Clinton's birthday.
- 52:40[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 52:41[SPEAKER_02]: And I was going to post this on only fence or discord and by the way, we want to become a member discord.gg forward slash only fence, join on a desktop 499 all access.
- 52:50[SPEAKER_02]: I was put a link and every single one of our episodes.
- 52:53[SPEAKER_02]: I was going to put a video of Mark Clayton's three touchdown performance in the last game against the Dallas Cowboys in his 18 touchdown season in 1984.
- 53:04[SPEAKER_02]: And I didn't because I knew what was going to be coming and if you go on Twitter today, there's a bunch of people saying, who?
- 53:13[SPEAKER_02]: to modern people.
- 53:17[SPEAKER_01]: He's a bit top heavy, I think, especially when he plays double when he gets double, he gets really sort of top heavy Chris and I am.
- 53:25[SPEAKER_01]: He's also going to be 24 in training camp, which again, you kind of look at those the dolphin parameters.
- 53:31[SPEAKER_01]: He models his game on Derek Brown, I think he's a bit more Jonathan Hankings in terms of how he plays and
- 53:36[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, I think he's probably a top 50 guy and I, you know, I've appreciated his tape that the kid that he plays next to Skylar Gill Howard.
- 53:44[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if you've seen him.
- 53:45[SPEAKER_01]: He is really, he's really good.
- 53:48[SPEAKER_01]: Like he's much, yeah.
- 53:49[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what you do with the 6-1 280 pounder only ever started seven games in his career.
- 53:54[SPEAKER_01]: But my god, his motor is like, aren't we going to take away?
- 53:57[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 53:58[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, he's good segue because we got, we got guys to talk
- 54:06[SPEAKER_04]: The guy, well, be right.
- 54:09[SPEAKER_01]: You do the way I come back to the job.
- 54:11[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 54:11[SPEAKER_04]: Well, first off, first off, I do want to comment on the Dalham's roster.
- 54:15[SPEAKER_04]: Zeeek figures.
- 54:15[SPEAKER_04]: I do think can play some five deck.
- 54:18[SPEAKER_04]: He's got that length and I think that's kind of division there still.
- 54:24[SPEAKER_04]: So wouldn't be surprised there.
- 54:27[SPEAKER_04]: We talked about Kristen Miller not surprised at all if you consider him to be the top defensive tackle in the draft.
- 54:33[SPEAKER_04]: I think he's
- 54:36[SPEAKER_04]: And for as young as he is, he sets up as offensive or as blockers really well.
- 54:40[SPEAKER_04]: And I just like watching him play football.
- 54:43[SPEAKER_04]: He's, I think he's a delight.
- 54:45[SPEAKER_04]: So, but you know, was gonna get into, okay.
- 54:49[SPEAKER_04]: So, if we're talking about a little bit on, on we go and maybe we'll just skip forward to the sort of the sleepers, the diamonds and the rough.
- 54:58[SPEAKER_04]: There's one guy that I like for a five technique for I who I thought was absolutely dominant.
- 55:05[SPEAKER_04]: Um, which by the way, who did you meant you're you're complaining about you're complaining about the Peter Woods?
- 55:13[SPEAKER_04]: The problem with him could have been stamina wise.
- 55:16[SPEAKER_04]: He took a massive jump up and snaps this year and he was playing like 50, 60 snaps again, right?
- 55:22[SPEAKER_04]: Some guys can't do that.
- 55:24[SPEAKER_04]: brings me to this guy, Steven daily of Indiana 6.1 276 pounds, you know, in ease, I think he's got 32 some odd in terms 79 inch 6 with 7 inch kind of wingspan around there.
- 55:41[SPEAKER_04]: played a lot of five technique for I transferred from belief Kent State to Indiana Where he's Kent State.
- 55:49[SPEAKER_04]: I think he played pretty solidly for three years Indiana.
- 55:51[SPEAKER_04]: He didn't start out as a starter.
- 55:53[SPEAKER_04]: He earned it He earned it as the season went on and then in the you know back after the season he was when I say like an every snap guy He was like an every snap guy
- 56:03[SPEAKER_04]: and the conference championship against Ohio State every single snap, which for a five, four-eye, kind of defensive line, tweenered type, pretty incredible to play 100% snaps participation, and to do it at such a high level, and he lived in Julian Sands lap in that game.
- 56:24[SPEAKER_04]: And that's not even the best part of his game, I think he's a really immense run defender,
- 56:31[SPEAKER_04]: of one of the nation's leaders and tackles for loss.
- 56:34[SPEAKER_04]: uh... i think he's uh... is a great play but six more one two hundred seventy six pounds like what do you do that that's that mold that's what we're talking about right um... you know what do you do with that is your the guy is it caliper actor or is it okay i was going to ask you about i was going to ask you about i was going to ask you where do we my final question was going to be where do we stand on on freakest athletes that are not ideal size for the NFL caliper
- 57:03[SPEAKER_01]: I've got so many things to say about this kid, right?
- 57:06[SPEAKER_01]: I have, like, a Celtic folk of all, but a lot through this process.
- 57:10[SPEAKER_01]: And I've made some comments, certainly not only things about the dolphins thinking that Caleb, a Celtic folk who's 20 years old and just is really long.
- 57:20[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he played it 286 pounds last year, it was 276 to the combine.
- 57:24[SPEAKER_01]: But I just felt like it eight, sacks two years ago, the sack numbers went way down.
- 57:28[SPEAKER_01]: He had to do it all for a lot of different things.
- 57:31[SPEAKER_01]: but somebody who I really trust told me to go back and watch a couple of games and I got slightly disillusioned over the last 72 hours watching some of his games where he's just docking plays, there's a lack of aggression and inability to finish.
- 57:46[SPEAKER_01]: And noticeably late on in games, he's taken himself out of games, he's got no juice off the snap.
- 57:52[SPEAKER_01]: And I was like, I think you're wow, you know, man, this kid plays the run really, really well and he can hold up against doubles, you know, even at under 300 pounds.
- 58:01[SPEAKER_01]: and then I started watching Caleb Potter.
- 58:04[SPEAKER_01]: And I thought folk could be a potential top 10 pick in this process, right?
- 58:09[SPEAKER_01]: And I dug into some other stuff and feel like he might actually fall into the second round potentially.
- 58:14[SPEAKER_01]: Now I know that flies in the face of a couple of things that aren't zeal I said over the last couple of days.
- 58:18[SPEAKER_01]: The Caleb Potter tape.
- 58:19[SPEAKER_01]: My biggest question about Caleb Potter is how high it is to high for him.
- 58:24[SPEAKER_01]: He, this is the, I think, power of a pound it might be the best tape I've ever watched all season.
- 58:33[SPEAKER_01]: He obviously pays for South East Louisiana, right?
- 58:35[SPEAKER_01]: So low level of competition.
- 58:37[SPEAKER_01]: You turn on the nickel state tape, right?
- 58:40[SPEAKER_01]: I'm surprised the game wasn't like called off, because it just wasn't possible for a nickel state to run anything, because literally on every single play, this dude is in the back foot, like literally every single play, the court will actually be against SAC, he's able to move off of platforms and throw them all away.
- 58:55[SPEAKER_01]: They can't block it, they literally...
- 58:57[SPEAKER_02]: There's a rep.
- 58:57[SPEAKER_02]: There's a rep going around Twitter today showing color proctor gets hit by eight different guys on offense and he makes the tackle for a three yard loss.
- 59:06[SPEAKER_01]: be like, okay, so that equals state there, right?
- 59:09[SPEAKER_01]: You like, okay, it's all right, I think I state.
- 59:11[SPEAKER_01]: And then they pay LSU, right, in in in Baton Rouge, right?
- 59:17[SPEAKER_01]: And you're like, oh, it's not gonna be the same because it's, you know, and it's like, oh, no, okay, two sacks, multiple tier fails, a huge hack for a loss on a huge third down of the game, just beating up on this four and five star guys down after down, after down, after down, the quickness, the aggression, the burst,
- 59:34[SPEAKER_01]: the closing speed, the ability to parlay almost like constant pressures from multiple alignments, angles of entry into the pocket and just complete ways of decoding alignment.
- 59:45[SPEAKER_01]: It was six foot two, two night, you're one of the combine, right?
- 59:49[SPEAKER_01]: He was six foot two, two 75 at the shrine.
- 59:55[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, he put on 16 pounds at the combine.
- 59:58[SPEAKER_01]: It's still running for the combat.
- 59:59[SPEAKER_01]: It's still running for 79.
- 1:00:01[SPEAKER_01]: What the hell was he gonna be like?
- 1:00:03[SPEAKER_01]: At 275, what was he gonna be like 275?
- 1:00:05[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't wanna say it.
- 1:00:06[SPEAKER_01]: I was talking to Peter Bukowski, the writer.
- 1:00:09[SPEAKER_01]: I know you wanna say.
- 1:00:11[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you know what I wanna say, right?
- 1:00:12[SPEAKER_01]: And it's blasphemy.
- 1:00:13[SPEAKER_04]: I know you wanna say.
- 1:00:14[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, and I think I'm a big fan and I was a big fan of this guy.
- 1:00:18[SPEAKER_01]: You were a map of fan of him coming out and he turned into the the greatest interior defensive line of the this generation pretty much and I'm not going to say it, but there are I'm really sorry, but there are so many flashes.
- 1:00:31[SPEAKER_01]: and this person's ability.
- 1:00:33[SPEAKER_02]: He gives me a lot of collagicancy vibes.
- 1:00:37[SPEAKER_02]: Which is not a bad thing.
- 1:00:38[SPEAKER_02]: He just finished having a really good season for the bucks this past year.
- 1:00:41[SPEAKER_01]: No, not collagic.
- 1:00:42[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, if you call this a cancee go at the end of the time.
- 1:00:45[SPEAKER_02]: Some of the people.
- 1:00:46[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, to me at worst, right, he is a second round pig at worst, right?
- 1:00:50[SPEAKER_01]: And in four years' time, when he signs a Milton Williams type contract, people will go, don't know how he felt the second round.
- 1:00:57[SPEAKER_01]: His tape is unbelievable and it absolutely worse.
- 1:01:02[SPEAKER_01]: He just becomes an electric sub-package interior illustrator.
- 1:01:05[SPEAKER_01]: I've got him as a defensive end because I graded him at 275 and was a slight way, he's not an edge because he actually rushes from inside.
- 1:01:14[SPEAKER_01]: He has 79 pressures in the last three seasons.
- 1:01:18[SPEAKER_01]: Again, he's playing against civilians, but when he showed up against
- 1:01:24[SPEAKER_01]: He was unbelievable, but he's an unbelievable player.
- 1:01:29[SPEAKER_01]: I love him and he does remind me of that person.
- 1:01:33[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, it's that person.
- 1:01:34[SPEAKER_04]: We're not gonna say isn't it?
- 1:01:36[SPEAKER_04]: No, it's not.
- 1:01:36[SPEAKER_04]: No, it's not.
- 1:01:38[SPEAKER_04]: That's why it's for me.
- 1:01:39[SPEAKER_04]: Um, but, yeah, that's what I thought you might be like, you know, I mean, yeah, oh, no, I don't even.
- 1:01:48[SPEAKER_04]: Absolutely, no, you mean, um, this is another ask Simon, um, because, and for two reasons, one, you've got the, the comprehensive draft book going, um, but two Florida state guy.
- 1:02:02[SPEAKER_04]: Um, no, okay.
- 1:02:04[SPEAKER_04]: Darryl Jackson, Darryl Jackson, he of the huge body, wingspan, large, and the wingspan.
- 1:02:10[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, just right, because the massive did see him, did see him in the shrine, the shrine practice tapes, you know, during review, you know, showed up, what do you think?
- 1:02:23[SPEAKER_01]: You know, there's not an ounce of fat on him either is that like he's three, you know, who was in the three because he's best of them, he's awesome.
- 1:02:30[SPEAKER_01]: I think yeah, I quite like him.
- 1:02:32[SPEAKER_01]: I think his hands are he's got really good hands.
- 1:02:34[SPEAKER_01]: He's got really powerful hands.
- 1:02:35[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's quicker for snap.
- 1:02:36[SPEAKER_01]: The size is just like unreal and the shock just jack up blockers.
- 1:02:42[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's got the hand power to reset the line.
- 1:02:45[SPEAKER_01]: the arm extension when he's locked out is absolutely wild.
- 1:02:49[SPEAKER_01]: I just don't always think Chris is in some of his parts, like for all the good I've just said there, like when he's on the move, he doesn't look great, there's inconsistent balance, he gets too high, he could be a bit mechanical as a mover, you know, he can let guys get up on any loses control, I think, because of a lack of foot speed, a lack of kind of that just that mechanical nature of him,
- 1:03:12[SPEAKER_01]: and the pad level, I just wish he'd get his pad level down, but apparently off the field is an unbelievable guy.
- 1:03:18[SPEAKER_01]: And if he keeps his pants down, he can be absolutely dominant.
- 1:03:23[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's look, I don't know what you think he can be.
- 1:03:27[SPEAKER_01]: Is he a rotational nose tackle?
- 1:03:29[SPEAKER_01]: Is he a two aeroplane?
- 1:03:30[SPEAKER_01]: A lot to I at Florida State?
- 1:03:32[SPEAKER_01]: Is he an odd front end?
- 1:03:35[SPEAKER_01]: Like because he was three fifteen to the combine I think he's probably a day two guy Is he like a Zeeck beggars?
- 1:03:42[SPEAKER_01]: Is he like a Zeeck beggars?
- 1:03:44[SPEAKER_01]: Like a Zeeck beggars?
- 1:03:45[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, I think he is.
- 1:03:46[SPEAKER_01]: He's one of the last people who had to sit out because the the the
- 1:03:57[SPEAKER_01]: in Florida State, it was on the last people that actually had to sit out the season because of the change in the rules before NIL.
- 1:04:04[SPEAKER_01]: Not before NIL, so before I'm, you know, the poor, open-down and stuff.
- 1:04:09[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's a good player and like, I think if somebody can unlock him and just get him to keep him in pants down, he could be anything, because there's a start out there, and you just like, 11 inch hands 35 inch arm, 86 inch ring spanned.
- 1:04:21[SPEAKER_01]: That's just,
- 1:04:22[SPEAKER_01]: Those guys just don't grow on trees.
- 1:04:25[SPEAKER_01]: Mm-hmm.
- 1:04:25[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, I mean, there was a guy who was the guy who played Adam, Adam Butler.
- 1:04:30[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 1:04:32[SPEAKER_04]: You know, there's kind of a mold for this.
- 1:04:35[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 1:04:36[SPEAKER_04]: All the guy that that plays he was on the Dolphins and Brian Flores is defense before he was over on the Raiders.
- 1:04:44[SPEAKER_04]: You know, might be the guy that that.
- 1:04:47[SPEAKER_04]: You know, Christian Wilkins, the trouble that he got and supposedly, you know, supposedly, I don't know if he kissed him on the forehead or something like that or, you know, whatever, but yeah.
- 1:04:58[SPEAKER_04]: So there's a mold out there for that.
- 1:05:02[SPEAKER_04]: And I think that he could fit it.
- 1:05:04[SPEAKER_04]: One quick thing again, Dolphins roster.
- 1:05:08[SPEAKER_04]: I think halfway's going to gosh over Jordan Phillips.
- 1:05:11[SPEAKER_04]: So an already probably an already kind of has.
- 1:05:15[SPEAKER_04]: So that's that's bright future.
- 1:05:17[SPEAKER_04]: It if we we might have some questions about kind of grand I I at this point have fewer and I was a big grand fan, but I I was I a fewer.
- 1:05:26[SPEAKER_04]: about Jordan Phillips's future and a Jeff Aftley defense.
- 1:05:30[SPEAKER_01]: The one thing that I'm surprised about the Miller and the McDonald thing is that, to me, what I think they need is that the really twitched up three technique, real kind of third-down interior disruptor who can get sacks and change the platform of the court of
- 1:05:52[SPEAKER_01]: And so to me, Grace and Houghton of Oklahoma and Tyler, on Yedam of Texas saying in, those kind of under the 300 pound threshold, they're 292, 293 respectively.
- 1:06:05[SPEAKER_01]: Just guys that can just get into the pocket and really kind of affect the past in terms of and give you that ability to rush with four and get home with four to be able to then stack the secondary players.
- 1:06:18[SPEAKER_01]: And I think it's interesting that they haven't
- 1:06:20[SPEAKER_01]: look, it doesn't mean so they're not interested.
- 1:06:23[SPEAKER_01]: I've seen something that we haven't heard that they've targeted some of those slightly smaller but more twitchy interior defensive linemen to be potential long-term replacements for for sea level also just to get some some of that interior push.
- 1:06:39[SPEAKER_04]: Then again, you know,
- 1:06:42[SPEAKER_04]: Kristen Miller.
- 1:06:43[SPEAKER_04]: I think that's a lot to unlock that way, you know, because of his age and his body.
- 1:06:53[SPEAKER_01]: And then who baby like anyone yet Phillips, if he is, he's only just to be one.
- 1:06:58[SPEAKER_04]: He's only just and so and he was that that run, he was that run stopper and the when they got him in the all star practices.
- 1:07:07[SPEAKER_04]: They're like, oh, there's more here.
- 1:07:09[SPEAKER_04]: There's more that we're going to be able to unlock in him with him in the future and I think that was one of the when halfway showed up on the field And he's talking I think he he went straight up the Jordan Phillips denny and isn't there a wake a a Really love you coming out and play exactly the right way Yeah, you know you play football the right way so I think that comments speaks volumes and so you know a guy like Kristen Miller who
- 1:07:34[SPEAKER_04]: Maybe he didn't have the pressure production because of the way he was playing at Georgia, but I think he might play the right way.
- 1:07:41[SPEAKER_04]: So I wouldn't be surprised if they make it accept, because I don't think they're gonna target it at 1130 or 43, most likely.
- 1:07:52[SPEAKER_04]: Because I think there are other positions that you're just gonna miss the boat, if you don't take one that high.
- 1:07:59[SPEAKER_04]: But if they do, if they carve out an exception,
- 1:08:04[SPEAKER_02]: All right, and we're going to end it right there next week.
- 1:08:07[SPEAKER_02]: We will tackle linebackers and edge players and the secondary cornerbacks defensive backs cornerbacks nickels The works, but that's next week, but till then Just say before we go ran as got a new baby right ran as babies called
- 1:08:34[SPEAKER_01]: The fuck, the fuck would you call your kid Rocky Irish Russian Irish with an eye and a eye rocky R.O.C.K.I.
- 1:08:43[SPEAKER_01]: Irish
- 1:08:44[SPEAKER_04]: So every now and then I run into and the football thing.
- 1:08:47[SPEAKER_04]: I run into the guy whose name is ESPN like something the ESPN My favorite is a scientific map did you ever hear about that guy?
- 1:08:56[SPEAKER_04]: I did not hear about scientific map.
- 1:08:59[SPEAKER_02]: Look at Look it up.
- 1:09:01[SPEAKER_02]: His father was a role map and he named his son scientific so his name is scientific map You know, I don't know.
- 1:09:09[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 1:09:09[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know di but
- 1:09:10[SPEAKER_01]: You can't, but you You're still on the air right now.
- 1:09:15[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, we're still all here.
- 1:09:16[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we're still on the air.
- 1:09:17[SPEAKER_02]: So you just said it.
- 1:09:19[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah All right, that's it.
- 1:09:22[SPEAKER_02]: There is no more.
- 1:09:23[SPEAKER_02]: We will not talk to you.
- 1:09:24[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 1:09:24[SPEAKER_02]: Let's do it.
- 1:09:25[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah We'll talk about it next week.
