Transcript
- 0:02Melinda Lee: Welcome to the Speak and Flow podcast, where we help CEOs build leadership teams to strengthen the way they communicate so they lead with more clarity, confidence, and purpose. I believe that communication is not a soft skill. It is how we move our people forward together, and the growth of the company.
- 0:21Melinda Lee: Today, we are talking about an important topic that affects us all, it affects the organization, even when we're not even aware about it, because it's financial stress.
- 0:34Melinda Lee: And with our chaotic world and so much change, we want leaders to be aware of it, that it's affecting performance, even when we don't acknowledge it or see it. And so today, we are diving deep into this. We have a professional, she's an expert with over 20 years of experience working with nonprofits, financial services, public sectors.
- 0:57Melinda Lee: She builds strategies, programs, that help impact the community, as well as make economic impact.
- 1:04Melinda Lee: She is the Senior Manager for Success and Growth at Financial… Balance Financial Wellness. Her name is Laura Brecher. Welcome, Laura.
- 1:15Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: Thank you, it's so wonderful to be here today, Melinda. Thank you for having me.
- 1:19Melinda Lee: I'm excited about the conversation today because I know that financial stress impacts us all, and so I think as leaders, we need to be aware of what might be hurting our performance, even when we're not aware of them.
- 1:33Melinda Lee: So, I'm gonna start off with our first question. There is a busy CEO leader out there who has stopped to listen to this podcast episode. What do you hope could change in the way the person leads, communicates, when they take what you're about to share with them to heart?
- 1:53Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: Yeah, well, that's a great question, and really what I hope is that they begin to see financial wellness as a leadership issue.
- 2:01Melinda Lee: of September.
- 2:01Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: an employee benefit, right? Because financial stress doesn't stay at home.
- 2:07Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: Employees bring it with them to work every day, and it can affect concentration, decision making, engagement, and overall performance, right?
- 2:17Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: Research consistently shows that about 60% of Americans identify money as a significant source of stress, making it one of the most common challenges people face. And so my hope is that leaders leave this conversation asking a different question.
- 2:34Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: Instead of asking, why isn't this employee more engaged, they begin asking, what barriers might this person be carrying that we can help remove?
- 2:46Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: Organizations that invest in financial wellness are actually investing in healthier people, stronger teams, and ultimately better business outcomes.
- 2:55Melinda Lee: Yeah, I love that. And can you share for the audience more about what Balance Financial Wellness does, and what you do, and what excites you about the organization?
- 3:05Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: Yeah, well, I love working with Balance. We are a non-profit financial wellness organization, that offers one-to-one financial coaching, online resources, webinars, all sorts of tools and services that can help improve people's financial well-being.
- 3:22Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: So we partner with employers, healthcare organizations, financial institutions, and community organizations to make financial wellness accessible to the people that they serve. And that can be their employees, that can be their clients, that can be their members.
- 3:38Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: Because at Balance, we define financial wellness as having the knowledge, confidence, and support to make informed financial decisions throughout life's journeys. So.
- 3:51Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: Something that excites me is seeing more organizations recognizing that financial wellness isn't just about money.
- 3:59Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: It's really connected to mental health, physical health, workplace engagement, and organizational success. So, leaders are beginning to understand that supporting financial wellness isn't just the right thing to do for employees, it's also a smart investment in building stronger workplaces.
- 4:19Melinda Lee: Right, right. I think that's so key, and I think you're right, we need to switch and shift that mindset that it's not just an employee, problem, or it's not just a financial problem, it's the whole person and the whole organization problem.
- 4:36Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: Exactly.
- 4:37Melinda Lee: And so, I'm so thankful for the work that you do, to help our communities and to shift the way that, you… because you and I talked before.
- 4:47Melinda Lee: and you mentioned that you help… your organization helps people navigate systems that were not built for them. And so this is how the people feel. They feel that the system they're in, the organization they're in, are just not built for a specific type of person, or the way that they brought up… were brought up. And so how does what you do at Balance really help their performance?
- 5:12Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: Yeah, so…
- 5:13Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: You know, people don't struggle with finances because they lack intelligence or motivation. I mean, most people already know the basics, right? They know what's important to save for emergencies and reduce debt and prepare for the future, but it's not about knowing what to do.
- 5:31Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: Because money itself… I mean, that's just dollars and cents, right? But managing money is much more complex because we're human, and so every financial decision we make is influenced by our life experiences.
- 5:46Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: Emotions, relationships, habits, values.
- 5:50Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: the unexpected events that come our way, you know, that John Lennon quote, life is what happens to you when you're busy making other plans. So, yeah, and to make it even more challenging, I mean, most of us never were formally taught how to manage our finances.
- 6:09Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: For many generations, financial education wasn't a standard part of the school system.
- 6:15Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: Many people learn by maybe watching their parents or their caregivers through trial and error, and unfortunately, and I can speak to this, making costly mistakes along the way.
- 6:29Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: So, then we're asking people to navigate increasingly complex financial systems, you know, from credit and student loans, which are so complex, to healthcare costs.
- 6:41Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: Retirement planning, taxes, Insurance, I mean…
- 6:46Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: I understand why people are overwhelmed. It's… it's, kind of crazy, you know, all that we.
- 6:52Melinda Lee: Yeah.
- 6:53Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: navigate.
- 6:54Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: So, that's why we think financial coaching is so valuable, because
- 7:00Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: We actually take financial education that one step further
- 7:05Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: By helping people take that information.
- 7:08Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: And apply it to their own lives.
- 7:11Melinda Lee: So…
- 7:12Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: We listen first.
- 7:13Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: We understand the person's unique situation, and then we help them develop realistic goals and practical next steps, because if it's not realistic, it's not practical, it's not attainable, what happens?
- 7:28Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: stop.
- 7:29Melinda Lee: Right, right. I mean, because there's other things that we have going on, right? We have the kids, we have, work deadlines.
- 7:38Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: And…
- 7:38Melinda Lee: And so when there's so much complexity and all these other priorities, financial… especially when they're complicated, people will probably avoid it.
- 7:47Melinda Lee: It's emotional, we don't want to deal with it, just avoid it, maybe it'll go away, and then it just gets worse, and then so all of it compounds, and then you have this financial stress, and then it bleeds into work performance, and kids, you know, being a better parent, or not better, you know, not good, and a present for your kids as much as you'd like, so it all does, interconnect.
- 8:09Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: Yeah, I mean, have you ever heard of the.
- 8:10Melinda Lee: That's good.
- 8:11Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: Perfect.
- 8:12Melinda Lee: Yeah.
- 8:12Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: right now.
- 8:13Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: Right. We actually… that's a term that we actually use.
- 8:18Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: just, you know, so I'll give you an example. So, for me, I have, you know, you think this is a great financial setup. I have my credit cards automatically set up to be paid off in full every month.
- 8:31Melinda Lee: Great.
- 8:31Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: You know, that wouldn't seem like I am financially
- 8:35Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: really sound and empowered, but because I have that automatic payment set up, yes, I might have the money in my bank account to cover it, but that doesn't mean that my money is working wisely, right? Because I'm not looking at what I'm actually spending, what I'm.
- 8:52Melinda Lee: Oh my gosh.
- 8:53Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: On that credit card every month.
- 8:55Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: So even if I have the funds to cover it, that doesn't mean that I'm using my money in the wisest way. Right.
- 9:02Melinda Lee: And then, yeah.
- 9:03Melinda Lee: And you look at your bank account, you're like, oh my gosh, what's happening? Where's all my money going at the end of the month? Yeah, and so… so financial stress is happening. I think it's… I think it's happening regardless of wherever you are on, in the org chart, right? It's just as stressful. It can be very stressful. And so, how is… how does a leader
- 9:24Melinda Lee: see or notice, like, if it… if it is happening, how does a leader who doesn't usually pay attention to it notice, start to notice, and… and when it starts to… especially when some of their employees, are feeling that stress, maybe we as leaders start to think.
- 9:40Melinda Lee: we ask the question, how come the person is not doing their job? Why is it that they're not doing their job? Is it a skill level? We probably think maybe they don't have the right skills, but perhaps it's something else, like financial stress. Like, how do we start to notice?
- 9:54Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: Yeah, well, financial stress is often invisible.
- 9:58Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: So, you know, a manager or a CEO may notice someone who seems distracted and disengaged.
- 10:05Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: absent more often, right? Or really struggling to focus. And what they don't always see is that that employee might be lying awake at night wondering how they're going to pay the rent, or.
- 10:16Melinda Lee: Gotcha.
- 10:17Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: care, maybe they have medical bills that they're trying to manage, major debt piling up, and so you can't see that. So studies continue to show that financially stressed employees spend valuable work time worrying about personal finances, and that impacts productivity.
- 10:34Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: productivity and engagement. So.
- 10:37Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: You know, when people are carrying financial stress every day, it consumes emotional and mental energy.
- 10:44Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: So, helping employees reduce that stress benefits both the individual and the organization. So, it's about really asking the question, maybe not directly to that employee, but organizationally.
- 10:57Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: wide, are… are my employees feeling financial stress? Is there a way that I can ask that question?
- 11:05Melinda Lee: Okay.
- 11:06Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: get feedbacks that then, in turn, can inform me of next steps I need to take to.
- 11:12Melinda Lee: Yeah.
- 11:13Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: their well-being.
- 11:15Melinda Lee: Yeah, how valuable…
- 11:17Melinda Lee: Would we be seen as a leader when we can ask that question to our employees and to.
- 11:24Melinda Lee: the people that are, yeah, that are in charge, or people that are also working on the ground, level, I think that could…
- 11:32Melinda Lee: be so beneficial, and help you be seen as a really authentic leader, or a leader that I would go to bat for, you know, because you care as a leader. But why is it so difficult for these leaders to… I think it's hard to have these conversations, like, talking about money can be uncomfortable.
- 11:51Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: Yeah, I mean, money is kind of the last habit in our culture.
- 11:54Melinda Lee: I'm wrong.
- 11:55Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: that.
- 11:55Melinda Lee: It's interesting.
- 11:56Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: It's deeply personal, because it is shaped by our life experiences.
- 12:00Melinda Lee: Hmm.
- 12:00Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: You know, long before we ever earn our first paycheck, we begin developing what financial professionals often call money scripts in our head.
- 12:10Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: It's the beliefs that we form about money based on our upbringing, our culture, our family experiences, and the messages we hear growing up. So, you know, there's people who
- 12:22Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: Grew up believing money should never be discussed.
- 12:25Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: And others, learning that debt is shameful, and asking for help is a sign of failure, or that financial success defines personal worth.
- 12:37Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: And those
- 12:37Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: beliefs, along with our own unconscious money biases, influence how we make financial decisions, and whether we're willing to talk about money at all.
- 12:47Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: You know, employees are coming in with all of these money scripts in their head, with all these…
- 12:52Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: Biases already, and we have to consider that as leaders when we're assessing, you know.
- 12:59Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: our employees' wellness. So, you know, the thing is, leaders don't need to become financial experts or counselors.
- 13:07Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: what they can do is to help create a culture where financial wellness is viewed as a normal part of their overall well-being, right alongside physical and mental health. So if there is some sort of gym membership benefit that you have, and you offer medical insurance benefits.
- 13:26Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: The financial wellness benefit is another way to improve overall
- 13:33Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: Health and wellness in a holistic way.
- 13:36Melinda Lee: Got it, got it. Yeah, because what would you say to a CEO or a leader that says, well, if I start to talk about financial wellness, this is opening up a can of worms that you may or may not want to expose? What would you say to this leader?
- 13:49Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: Well, and that's why offering a benefit where people can feel like they can go confidentially to some other party.
- 13:57Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: As, you know, a certified to a coach, or.
- 14:00Melinda Lee: Yeah.
- 14:00Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: you know, an expert that they can talk to, where they know that that information is not necessarily going to be shared with their employer. They can have a more free and open discussion, and that especially is
- 14:12Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: establishing, a rapport where we're meeting people where they're at. We're not coming from a place of judgment, and so I think that
- 14:22Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: You know, the standard message of everybody feels financial stress at one point or another, so we want you to address it in the way that makes the most sense to you.
- 14:32Melinda Lee: Right. And we're out.
- 14:34Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: New tools and resources in order to get that process started.
- 14:38Melinda Lee: Yeah, so you, you have these, collaborations. Balance at Wellness has these collaborations, with other organizations.
- 14:47Melinda Lee: How does that help the CEO or the organization?
- 14:50Melinda Lee: And the employees.
- 14:52Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: Yeah, so, you know, we partner with healthcare organizations, other nonprofits, financial institutions, and this is one of the biggest lessons that I can
- 15:02Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: state today is that no one organization can solve complex challenges alone, right?
- 15:09Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: healthcare providers understand health, financial institutions understand financial products, employers understand workplace culture, community organizations understand local needs. So, when the
- 15:21Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: organizations work together, they create something much more powerful than they can individually. So, you know, the strongest
- 15:29Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: don't ask, how do we solve every problem ourselves?
- 15:33Melinda Lee: Right.
- 15:34Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: Who can we partner with to create greater impact for the people we serve?
- 15:40Melinda Lee: I love that, that's so true.
- 15:42Melinda Lee: That is so true, and because the people you serve are… they're human beings.
- 15:48Melinda Lee: And we have complex problems, and so to look at it from the holistic perspective and bring in people where it's necessary, and to be a partner with these organizations will really serve the organization and its people.
- 16:03Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: Yeah, and you know, we've helped CEOs themselves. You know, it doesn't stop the employees. I mean, we have helped…
- 16:10Melinda Lee: Hmm.
- 16:11Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: People in very high positions manage their finances. Success…
- 16:16Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: Professional success does not necessarily translate into financial wellness, so…
- 16:21Melinda Lee: so if a CEO or a leader wants to improve their overall financial wellness within the organization, where do you… where should they start?
- 16:32Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: I mean, I would start by listening, really.
- 16:35Melinda Lee: Excellent.
- 16:35Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: first place, you know, we talked about this a little bit earlier, but really, ask employees what financial challenges they're experiencing, instead of just assuming you already know the answers, because every workforce is different.
- 16:49Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: And understanding those needs is the first step towards creating meaningful support. You don't know if your highest performing employee, who makes a pretty good salary, is still paying off student loans 25 years later, and it's.
- 17:04Melinda Lee: Right.
- 17:05Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: you're never gonna get out of that debt and never be able to buy a home one day or save for retirement. So, you know, so asking the questions, and then
- 17:15Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: providing access to a trusted financial wellness program is the next step. Like, what we do at Balance, what we offer, but just, you know, some sort of financial wellness program that includes both financial education and coaching, because education builds knowledge.
- 17:32Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: Coaching helps people apply that knowledge to their own lives, build confidence, and create lasting change. So.
- 17:41Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: Think of a financial wellness program not simply as an employee benefit, we've said this before, but it really is a business strategy, because when employees experience less financial stress, they're better able to focus, solve problems, collaborate with others, and really bring their best selves to work.
- 18:01Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: So, organizations that invest in financial wellness often see benefits like higher productivity, lower absenteeism or presenteeism, stronger employee engagement, improved retention, and a healthier workplace culture. And also, just engaged employees are ones who feel like their workplace is investing in
- 18:24Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: them.
- 18:25Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: So, anything that you can do as a benefit to show employees that you are invested in their well-being is going to result in employees feeling more loyalty, and more engagement with their employer.
- 18:40Melinda Lee: I love that, yeah, that's so true. And have you, seen organizations yourself, like, when they start to improve, the financial wellness and overall wellness of the employees, the impacts of it, and how long does it usually take?
- 18:57Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: I mean, the biggest change we see is confidence.
- 18:59Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: Confidence in the employees, but confidence in the employer as well. So, employees begin feeling more in control of their finances and more confident making financial decisions.
- 19:11Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: They experience less stress and greater resilience when unexpected challenges arise. I'm sorry my coworker just joined me, so… there's a caveat that a coworker may join me during these…
- 19:24Melinda Lee: Have your coworker join!
- 19:27Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: Yes, yes, this one doesn't feel too much financial stress. So, you know, organizations will often also see stronger engagement, improved morale.
- 19:38Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: Sure. And better retention, because employees feel supported as whole people, not just workers.
- 19:46Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: You know, it does take time, you know, it's not an over… overnight fix, right? So when we meet with people at Balance.
- 19:54Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: We often say that, you know, to start seeing changes, to start meeting your goals, it's probably going to be a 3-6 month process, and in those first 3 months, you're going to see things like
- 20:07Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: You know, if you stick with the program, like, your savings increases, your debt reduces, your credit score maybe, increases a little bit, and you can start
- 20:17Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: Focusing on those financial goals, it always seems so out of reach, but when you start to get more organized.
- 20:25Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: And you start to see the changes, you start to say, maybe it is realistic that I can purchase a home one day. It's just about me understanding how I need to manage my finances in the way that works for me.
- 20:40Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: And, you know, overall, I think that it, strengthens workplace culture, because it sends a powerful message that, again, the organization cares about the long-term success of its people, and that's good for employees, and it's good for business.
- 20:57Melinda Lee: Right, right. But then it all begins with the awareness that it is happening, it is affecting the employees, it is affecting their performance, and it can have a long-term negative impact. However, if a leader starts to be more aware and starts to bring in help.
- 21:15Melinda Lee: Once they have the conversations with their employees, I think it starts off with, again, what you said, meeting them from where they're at, meeting your employees where they're at, having those honest conversations, seeing that it could not just be that it's a skill gap, but it might be a lot of other stresses in their life, including financial, and then giving them the support, offering the support, I think will be, like you mentioned, it increases,
- 21:39Melinda Lee: employee engagement, morale, confidence, and then, productivity. So, I think those are all so important, and so…
- 21:49Melinda Lee: I'm so grateful that you do… you do the work that you do, because not like you said, they're all smart people. It's not like they don't know what to do, but sometimes they just need additional, you know, just to get their head out of the water, take their head out of the sand.
- 22:04Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: Yeah, yeah, and you know, another thing I would suggest is if, leadership is implementing a new financial wellness program, having those leaders go through the program themselves.
- 22:18Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: Because what we often find is that the best referral source for us are those who've actually done it themselves.
- 22:25Melinda Lee: Yeah.
- 22:25Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: difference in seeing what an impact financial coaching can make. We can all benefit. You know, just like I think everybody can benefit from talk therapy, we can all benefit from financial coaching.
- 22:37Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: Yeah. So really, having leadership understand the process, what their employees are going to go through by going through it themselves makes a big impact as well.
- 22:48Melinda Lee: Awesome! I love that. And if there's a leader out there, I believe that there are, there are many people who could benefit from, Balance's Financial Wellness Services. How can they get ahold of you?
- 23:00Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: Sure, well, they can.
- 23:02Melinda Lee: For the company.
- 23:02Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: Yeah, they can reach out to Balance Financial Wellness, so we're at BeBalanced.org, so they can go onto their website. You can find me on LinkedIn. I'm happy to, talk with you and see what's going on with your organization and how we may be able to partner.
- 23:19Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: So yeah, I would love to speak to any leaders who are looking to implement a financial wellness program.
- 23:27Melinda Lee: Wonderful. Thank you so much, Laura. I certainly learned a lot, and I think that all leaders can benefit from, again, like, having more of the financial clarity, wellness, and support needed to navigate such a complex, difficult time in our world.
- 23:45Melinda Lee: Yeah, thank you, and thank you, listeners, for being here. I trust that you got the takeaway that you needed for today, and so remember, anytime you have a chance to communicate, communicate what matters, communicate it consistently, so your people move together.
- 24:02Melinda Lee: Until next time, take care.
- 24:06Melinda Lee: Bye-bye. Bye, Laura.
- 24:08Lara Brecher (she/her) Balance Financial Wellness: Bye.
