- 0:04Good morning, God bless you. Welcome back to the Morning Devo. It's
- 0:06your bro Sam Lopez aka DJ Sam Rock, and you're listening or watching the
- 0:11Morning Devo Mondays through Fridays five thirty am Eastern Standing time right here at Live
- 0:17dot so winners with a z dot org or simply celebrating Network Soul winners with
- 0:22a z dot org. Welcome back to a new week, a new time,
- 0:26a new start, or refresher. Amen, however you want to call
- 0:30this, this is something that's going to bless your life if you really get
- 0:33into the Word of God first part of your date, maybe last part of
- 0:37your day, depending on your time zone. Amen. The goal is here
- 0:41for us to get into the Word of God for ourselves, so that way
- 0:45we could see the unadulterated Word of God without any kind of what do you
- 0:51call those things stigmas, or without any kind of biases or religion on it,
- 0:58just the simple, powerful Word of God that can transform your life.
- 1:03The Bible itself says that the Word of God is alive, sharpen than any
- 1:07double edged sword, and the Word of God is able to pierce our souls.
- 1:11Amen, and do what the Word says it would do in our heart
- 1:15set in our lives. Today, we're going to talk about adulthood. Adulthood.
- 1:22When are we going to go into adulthood in our natural life and in
- 1:26our supernatural life? Amen. Adulthood is a thing, and I know the
- 1:32generations call it adulting, Amen. Or what they really mean is that they
- 1:36are no longer children now. They went from childhood to adulthood. Amen.
- 1:41And we're all from the hood, either manhood, womanhood, adulthood, childhood.
- 1:46Amen, We're all from a hood. So we want to talk about
- 1:49adulthood according to the scriptures, according to the Word of God here on the
- 1:53morning Devo. So if you have any questions, comments, concerns, or
- 1:57any prayer requests, don't hesitate to leave it on a live chat. That's
- 2:00what we're here for. Amen. And I hope or pray that you will
- 2:02be blessed today by what we're going to talk about. We're gonna be and
- 2:07First Corinthians, chapter number thirteen, verse number eleven. First Corinthians, Chapter
- 2:15number thirteen, Verse eleven. You know Jesus himself, our Lord, my
- 2:21Lord, my savior, Jesus himself developed into a man into an adult.
- 2:28Amen. So that's a hint for us a man and a clue to us
- 2:31that Christ Jesus, the Word that became flesh, grew up and statute the
- 2:38Bible says, So what's your excuse and what's my excuse for not doing the
- 2:44same. Let's grow up. Let's be who God calls us to be.
- 2:47Amen's in a supernatural realm. It's more powerful, in my opinion than the
- 2:53natural realm, because whatever happens supernaturally will happen in the natural. Jesus developed
- 2:59from a youth to an adult. With maturity comes new responsibilities. And with
- 3:06the Word of God, and with the salvation of God, and with the
- 3:09implantation or revelation or impartation of the Word in our lives. Amen, we
- 3:15become adults. And because we're grown up or growing up in the faith,
- 3:23we get new responsibilities. Because the whole part of the Christianity. Amen.
- 3:29According to the scriptures is that we become new creatures. We're no longer the
- 3:32old We're no longer acting like children anymore. We are growing up in the
- 3:38faith and knowledge of a holy God, and his name is the Lord Jesus.
- 3:42First community is thirteen eleven. Amen, We're gonna pray first, after
- 3:45we pray, we'll share this out for like thirty seconds, amen, And
- 3:49for excuse me, not thirty seconds, sixty seconds. We shared this out,
- 3:53and after the sixty seconds is over, we'll come back on the other
- 3:54side and we'll get right into today's Morningdivo adulthood and men. You ready,
- 4:00I'm ready. Let's go for it. Let's pray, and then we'll share.
- 4:02Father, thank you so much for allowing me to grow in my faith,
- 4:08and for allowing all my brothers and sisters in the faith to continue to
- 4:11grow in the grace and knowledge of who you are. Thank you, Lord
- 4:15God, that we are no longer the same as we were when we met
- 4:17you. Lord God, you have transformed us, changed us. We have
- 4:23been growing in our faith. We have reading your word. We have been
- 4:26reading your word, and we're inspired by your Holy Spirit. Thank you,
- 4:29Lord God, Holy Spirit, God for teaching us how to grow up and
- 4:33showing us what the differences between being a child and thinking like a child,
- 4:38and being an adult and acting like an adult and thinking like an adult according
- 4:43to your scriptures. I pray peace over every single heart, soul, and
- 4:46mind right now in the name of Jesus. I ask lot God, that
- 4:48you would guard God and protect me and my family and my household, our
- 4:53children, look God, our ministry, our businesses and organizations that we're part
- 4:59of, our church. Thank you, Lord God for guiding, guarding and
- 5:00protecting us, and that you would do Little God the same for every single
- 5:03person that's listening and watching to this Morning Devo, and those who are on
- 5:10it right now, on it right now or will listen or watch later on.
- 5:14I pray a head of protection over them in the power of the name
- 5:17of Jesus. And I set forth arkman angels, minister angels, worry angels,
- 5:21to annihilate the tactics of the enemy. The plans of the enemy will
- 5:26be foiled and will be destroyed by the power of your word in Jesus name.
- 5:30I prayer is by faith, and all those who agreed we say Amen
- 5:33and Amen. So let's take a sixty second break. Help me share this
- 5:38out today. We're talking about adulthood on the Morning Devo, which you bro
- 5:42saying, little Pez. I'll be right back. Amen. Amen, We're
- 7:27back. Let's go for it. Let's see what the word of Guy has
- 7:30for us to date. Amen. As I get the word of Guy on
- 7:32the screen. For those who are listening on Celebrator Network and on the podcast,
- 7:36thank you so much. I'm going to continuing to listen into these Morning
- 7:41DeVos. I took pretty much a week off and not really Amen, because
- 7:47that was our ministry for a whole week, live outdoors, Amen, So
- 7:53therefore we're here. At the time it was recording the heat. We had
- 7:57a heat wave and that heat was beating me up a man being outside all
- 8:01that time. I'm not as young as I used to be, Amen,
- 8:03so that heat hits different now as I'm out there ministering. But so I
- 8:09took the week. We were still online, we were still on the Morning
- 8:13Devo, but I had some pre records up want to celebrate on network.
- 8:16So when those things happen, you won't know, Amen, unless you're a
- 8:22part of my email list or my text alerts, and you will get the
- 8:24information behind the scenes of what's going on when I'm not live anymore. That's
- 8:28why I always ask people continue to pray for me and my family. I
- 8:31continue to pray for you and your family because one day could change everything.
- 8:35Tomorrow could be so different in your life and my life. So but if
- 8:39we hold each other in prayer. Amen, we would know that we have
- 8:43support systems Amen, that we could rely on. But the frank God bless
- 8:46you. Good morning, God bless you. Welcome to the Morning Divo,
- 8:48my brother and my friends. So let's go for it. Let me get
- 8:50this ready for the screens that to miss out anything. I'm gonna literally read
- 8:56a word for word, literally read word for word on what we're seeing on
- 9:01the screen. If you're not able to watch the Morning Devo or you're just
- 9:05listening, that's a great thing as well. Amen to listening to the word
- 9:09of God. Right. How do you get your faith built up? How
- 9:13do you get the message of the Gospel. How do you, you know,
- 9:18pretty much get the word of God in your life is by hearing the
- 9:22word of God. Amen, And you'll get the faith, the boldness,
- 9:26the courage, the confidence. Amen, and you'll get everything you need my
- 9:30hearing and not just hearing the word of God, but applying what you're hearing,
- 9:33Amen, and doing what you heard from the Word of God. Amen.
- 9:37So let's go for it. Adulthood, Morning Devo. We're hearing full
- 9:43effect. First Corinthians shot the number thirteen verse number eleven. Amen, our
- 9:48head will no longer be in the clouds when we grow up. That's why
- 9:52I put that graphic there. Listen. First Corinthians, chapter thirteen, verse
- 9:56eleven. Was a child, I talked like a child. I thought like
- 10:05a child. I reasoned like a child. When I became a man,
- 10:09I did a way with childish things. Very clear. The apostle pau inspired
- 10:15by Holy Spirit, wrote this down for the church in corinth and he's writing
- 10:20it down for us to see now. And we're looking at it as the
- 10:22church when we were children. Hey man, And of course this doesn't apply.
- 10:28If you're a child, you're still a child. You're still going to
- 10:31think like a child. My three year old is not going to think the
- 10:35same way as my thirty one year old, right, so they're gonna be
- 10:41thinking differently. So when I was a child, I talked like a child.
- 10:48And what did that mean, Ladies and gentlemen, We probably babbled,
- 10:50probably didn't make a lot of sense when we first got into faith. Right,
- 10:54the Bible says the gospel is foolishness to those who are perishing. So
- 10:58when I first got said as a babe in Christ, I went after my
- 11:01family, I went after my friends. I was telling everybody they need to
- 11:05turn to the Lord. Amen. Even though that's true. But the way
- 11:09I was speaking, the way I was thinking about it, my thought process
- 11:13about it was like a child because I was a new born believer, right,
- 11:20grown man, got saved at the age of thirty years old, grown
- 11:24man, But I had a child faith. So when I was a child,
- 11:28I talked like a child. When you was a child, you talk
- 11:31like a child as well. I thought like a child. I reasoned like
- 11:37a child. My reasoning, Amen, was childish. Even as a born
- 11:41again believer, as a grown man with a new life, a new faith
- 11:46in Christ, I reasoned like a child when I became a man. In
- 11:52other words, when you grow up, and this is not only for men,
- 11:54obviously, this is for women as well. When we grow up,
- 11:58we start doing away with the things that were childish, or at least we
- 12:03should, and we continue to grow in the faith, in the knowledge of
- 12:07the Lord Jesus, powerful man. We don't stay the same. There's nothing
- 12:13same about the Gospel and our hearts and our lives. We are so different
- 12:18from who we were before Jesus rescued and saved us. Think about it.
- 12:24There's nothing that we could do to earn the grace of God. But there's
- 12:30everything we could faith in Jesus to get saved. In other words, are
- 12:37reasoning changes. I literally knew a person who said God saved him because God
- 12:45needed him in the Kingdom of God. That's one of those childish thoughts,
- 12:50a childish way of reasoning. I would never say that God needs me amen
- 12:58for the Kingdom of God. I would say I need him and the Kingdom
- 13:01of God to live this life out. If I didn't have God, Holy
- 13:05Spirit, Son of God in my heart and in my life, this will
- 13:11never happen. And what I mean this my changed life, my transformed life
- 13:16would not be transformed. And people who go around saying if they told me
- 13:20this when I was a child and the faith that I was irriagy so because
- 13:24of my already goodness, ain't ben I'm just booming along and helping the Holy
- 13:28Spirit is helping me live the life I was living. Anyway, That's false.
- 13:33There's no way I could have changed my own life. And the goodness
- 13:39that they're talking about was the goodness according to the world standards, and God
- 13:43says clearly in his word, and then none of us are good, none
- 13:48of us are good. So where do we get this goodness from? Well,
- 13:52we get it from Holy Spirit God. It's obvious. There should be
- 13:56no what you call it confers usion about that. Get our goodness from the
- 14:03one who is only good, the one and only Lord, who is the
- 14:09only one who is good. Amen, We'll give you some bonus scriptures here.
- 14:15Remember in the beginning I said Jesus developed from a youth to an adult.
- 14:20The Word of God says that in Luke chapter two, verse fifty two.
- 14:26Luke chapter two, verse fifty two. The Word of God says,
- 14:28and Jesus grew in wisdom and stature and in favor with God, and men
- 14:35are process. Strangely enough, people want to get saved and get right into
- 14:41ministry right away, right and be praised by men, and they go after
- 14:48it. Famous people do that all the time. When the famous Kanye West
- 14:54got supposedly gave his life to the Lord, he started doing these big what
- 14:58he called Sunday services, big productions, and that's what they were. Anybody
- 15:05who dared to look at the obvice and say, wait, he just he
- 15:09just said he gave his life to the Lord, and why is he already
- 15:11in ministry and why is he already full fledged doing full fledged productions because we
- 15:18or I wouldn't say all of us, but some of us noticed that what
- 15:22he was saying was inaccurate. He was a babe in the faith if he
- 15:26was saved, right, so we had to give him time. But people
- 15:30were like, no, man, don't judge him. God's gonna use him
- 15:33to save the whole generation. Right. And what happened we used, when
- 15:41I say we, the people that said they were in the kingdom of God
- 15:45that allowed all of that to happen right in his life instead of loving him,
- 15:50telling them truth and say, hey, man, you're a child and
- 15:52the faith. You know, you have to process things, have to learn
- 15:56the word and then before you go out there and start, you know,
- 16:00doing your thing. Instead of that happening, No, the people who were
- 16:06concerned, the brothers and sisters who were concerned for a soul were still concerned
- 16:10for a soul. A man praying for the brother say, oh, you're
- 16:12judging him. Who are you for you to say that God can use him?
- 16:18Right? And we went through all that and it kind of like divided
- 16:22some of us in the church. But if Jesus grew in wisdom, and
- 16:26stature. I think we should grow in wisdom and stature too. Is an
- 16:32example. Jesus, our lord Amen, took time to grow by choice because
- 16:37he's God. But the word became flesh and dwelt among his people, showing
- 16:44us the perfect example of how to live this out. About this one,
- 16:48First Timothy, chapter number four, verse twelve. First Simothy, chapter four,
- 16:52verse twelve. Don't let anyone and I know a lot of young people
- 16:56quote this Amen rightfully so, but we have to be careful even when we
- 17:02quote the scripture, and we can't act like when we're just saved, that
- 17:06we could go to the elders of the church and let them know about themselves,
- 17:10right, First Sempathy four to twelve. Don't let anyone look down on
- 17:14you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech,
- 17:22in life, in love and faith, and in purity. Man,
- 17:27whatever happened to purity, I can't believe it, Like I just can't believe
- 17:33like what happened to the message of purity not too long ago. I got
- 17:38saved around twenty something years ago, now, right. I used to hear
- 17:45messages about purity right and being pure sexually, morally, pure heart, pure
- 17:53mind, conscience, all that the messages about basically the gift for us,
- 17:59the spirit, right to walk in that, to walk in that holiness,
- 18:03to walk in the righteousness of God, the purity, Amen and men.
- 18:07Those messages helped me a lot. And then, for whatever reason, I
- 18:12would say, the last the last five years, at least in my spirits,
- 18:18in the territory that I'm at and the preachers I'm hearing and the teachings
- 18:22I'm hearing, that purity message man is hidden somewhere. Could it be because
- 18:26the people who are preaching don't dare go to that subject because they have impure
- 18:33thoughts on impure lives, or they're living in immorality, misin preached the gospel
- 18:38because guess what, I could hide whatever I want to hide. But that
- 18:42doesn't mean I have to not speak on scripture. Amen, because you heard
- 18:47it. You heard it right. I will only preach what I lived.
- 18:51I will only teach what I lived. And that's some kind of arrogant in
- 18:55my opinion, my humble opinion, because I'm like, I'm never died on
- 18:59a cross, but I'm a preach across of Jesus Christ. I sinned right
- 19:03and I deal with sin or that doesn't mean I'm not gonna say, don't
- 19:07sin according to what the scripture says and the consequences of sin. So we
- 19:11have to just read the scriptures, believe the scriptures, teach the scriptures,
- 19:17preach the scriptures, a man preach the Gospel. And even if we're not
- 19:21there yet, and man by faith, we're gonna get there. We're gonna
- 19:23go to a process of learning, through the process of growing of wisdom and
- 19:29stature, and because of that we'll get favor with God and with men.
- 19:33I don't think we get favored with God and men just immediately, because I
- 19:38know it didn't happen for me. What about you when you first got saved,
- 19:41that you immediately have favored with men and with the church and with everybody.
- 19:47And in my experience, when I first got saved and then have faith,
- 19:52I have favor with God because yes, he rescued me, saved me,
- 19:55transform me, renew me, redeem me, restored me a man,
- 19:57and was teaching me his word. But I didn't automatically have favor with men.
- 20:02I wish it would have been like that, it would have been a
- 20:04quick fix. But God, it's not a quick fix. He's an eternal
- 20:07God that saves us, transforms us, and news us, and restores us.
- 20:11Brother, Holy God, bless you man. Welcome to the morning,
- 20:14Devo, Good morning God, blessed God. Blessed men. Yeah, yeah,
- 20:21blessed man. I am because of the blesser that I'm preaching about.
- 20:25And you're a blessed to sir. Thank you so much. So. We
- 20:29see that Jesus himself developed from a youth to an adult, and with that
- 20:33maturity comes new responsibilities. I don't have the same responsibilities that I used to
- 20:38have when I was a kid, I had less responsibilities. That's why people
- 20:42say the good old days. I think people say the good old days when
- 20:47we're talking about when we were young. I think it's because we had less
- 20:48responsibilities. The same problems were in the world, and now it's even worse,
- 20:55and it's going to get even worse. Ladies and gentlemen. I know
- 20:57you probably hearing preaches us say it's gonna get better. We're gonna have a
- 21:00big revival and this then and the third and it's gonna be so peaceful and
- 21:04all that. And I hope they're not prophesying that, because the scriptures say
- 21:08something different. It's gonna get worse. It's gonna be the end time,
- 21:12right, the end time eschatology prophecies. All that is happening right in front
- 21:18of our eyes. So although the darkness is gonna get darker and it's gonna
- 21:22get worse, and morality is gonna sweep the nation and people gonna turn good
- 21:26into bad and bad into good, we see it happening. Woma's war,
- 21:32we see the famines. We see all this stuff going on in the world.
- 21:37Right, and this other preacher saying, Oh, it's gonna be okay,
- 21:40It is gonna be okay. But this world system is corrupted. As
- 21:44a matter of fact, it's so bad that when Jesus comes back, he's
- 21:48coming back with a new what, a new Heaven and a new Earth.
- 21:52So he's gonna reset the time. He's gonna reset life. He's gonna reset
- 21:56this world. Hey man. But in the meantime, let's grow and be
- 22:00adults in the scriptures in the Kingdom of God. Let's go into adulthood.
- 22:04Let's show this world what the Lord has done in our lives. Let's testify
- 22:08his goodness and of his might and of his grace, of his spirit,
- 22:11of his love, of his grace and his mercy. Let's testify about Jesus.
- 22:17Amen. And that will help us grow up in our faith. And
- 22:21whether we're young or not. Amen, We're not gonna let anyone, like
- 22:25the Bible says, don't let anyone look down on us because we're young in
- 22:29the faith. I'm just a young adult in the faith. I'm in my
- 22:33twenties in the faith. Some people are in their fifties in the faith.
- 22:36They've been saved fifty sixty years Amen. Others just got saved yesterday. Others
- 22:41will get saved today. Amen. So let's love one another into the faith
- 22:45and continue to encourage one another to read the manual, read the scriptures,
- 22:51and stick to the scriptures. Amen. We can't make nothing up. We
- 22:53can't reinvent this and reinvent that. Amen. We're gonna mess everything up if
- 22:59we try to do minytry our way. Let's do ministry the way God wants
- 23:03us to do ministry. Amen. And although we will be on the cutting
- 23:07edge edge, we will be innovative. We will be doing things that the
- 23:11world won't understand. We will be doing things that even some church establishments won't
- 23:17understand. Alone, don't let anybody look down on you because you're young in
- 23:22the faith. Amen, But set an example for the believers into what you
- 23:26say in your speech and how you live in your life and in love,
- 23:30how you love one another and in faith, right, how you believe?
- 23:34We trust God. We don't have to see something before we believe something when
- 23:38God speaks to us. And impurity, Please, if you're living a sexually
- 23:45moral life or imperial life in areas, maybe you steal from people, maybe
- 23:48you did this, maybe do that. You can stop right now by the
- 23:52power of Holy Spirit God, repent, turn from that and turn to the
- 23:56righteousness of God and move on from there. Amen. Let's talk about purity
- 24:00again. Please. I have daughters, Amen, and my plea to you
- 24:03is be like, can you teach my daughters about purity. We're trying our
- 24:08best as parents, me and my wife, and show them a purer marriage,
- 24:12right, show them that there's no cursing in my home, Thank you
- 24:17Jesus. Amen. We haven't cursed in years, Thank you Lord. That's
- 24:21the power of Holy Spirit. But you know what I mean, I could
- 24:23use some help young ladies in the faith. Amen. If you want to
- 24:29speak messages of purity. Amen, you want to come on on Live with
- 24:33Me, Amen, on any of my shows and talk about purity. Amen.
- 24:37That would be a blessing because that message I haven't heard in a while.
- 24:41If you have heard that message about purity recently, Amen, and it's
- 24:45biblically sound, send the links to me, please, and I'll make sure
- 24:49I'll connect with those people and maybe interview them. Amen. Purity is huge,
- 24:53especially in the culture we're living in now. The young need to know
- 24:56about what purity according to the Scripture is. Amen, and listen, I'm
- 25:02taking all the burden and all the pressure off the leaders, maybe young ladies,
- 25:06maybe young men that are up on those pulpits and they're struggling with some
- 25:11kind of immorality or whatever. Take that weight off your shoulders. Right,
- 25:15that's between you and God. But preach who you want to be, be
- 25:19an adult, a man, even if you're not an adult in the faith.
- 25:23What I mean is I'm not saying fake, it's you make I'm saying
- 25:26preach the word of God. Speak the word of God and you will see
- 25:30what was going to happen. Why your soul will follow because the word of
- 25:33God is powerful, The word of God is active and alive a man.
- 25:37So when we declare what the Word is saying, we can't go wrong.
- 25:41But if we're trying to dodge, I can't talk about this because I don't
- 25:45live that way. I can't sorry about this because I'm failing in that area.
- 25:48I can't say. Then you're I don't know what kind of game you're
- 25:51playing with the scriptures. Listen, when I look at the scriptures, Yes,
- 25:55the challenges me pretty much all the time. But I'm gonna read the
- 25:59scriptures any I'm a teacher scriptures anyway, I'm a pre suscriptures anyway. Because
- 26:03it's not my word that's on the line. It's the word of God that's
- 26:07on the line. Amen. And I'm just repeating what the Word says.
- 26:11Psalms shot the seventy one verse five. Psalm seventy one five says for you
- 26:15have been my hope, Old sovereign Lord, my confidence since my youth.
- 26:22Amen. So when you're young in the Lord, Amen, you begin to
- 26:26develop this confidence and who God is in your life personally, in your life
- 26:30publicly, in your life in ministry, and your life outside the ministry,
- 26:34and your life in the church, and your life outside of the church.
- 26:37He becomes your confidence, and that starts when you're young. Amen. And
- 26:44when you have a relationship with God, Amen, that relationship flourishes, it
- 26:48develops, you become When you know more about God through his word, Amen,
- 26:52you're to fall in love more and more and more with Him. And
- 26:56the whole argument that I'm hearing that it's an old argument, by the way,
- 27:00about God being immoral. It's nonsense. Amen. People are trying to
- 27:06judge you what God did in the Old Covenant and say that's wrong and how
- 27:10could God do this? How could God do that? And that's just an
- 27:14escape, escapeism tactic for what they're doing in their lives that's immoral. So
- 27:18they say, well, I'm okay what people are saying. I'm okay,
- 27:22and I'm moral, but God is immoral. So therefore, because God's immoral,
- 27:26I'm not going to follow him. It's an escape, a way of
- 27:30escaping the reality of people who are not born again, people who are not
- 27:33saying, people who are arrogant. They're living a life on their own and
- 27:38they're telling everybody, I don't need your God because I have this on my
- 27:41own. And yes they do, and God loves them so much that he
- 27:45will allow them. He doesn't force nobody to serve him, he will allow
- 27:48them to live that way. Amen. Unfortunately, that way is not going
- 27:52to work. The ways of this world always lead to destruction and depth.
- 27:56First comment Things thirteen. Read the whole chapter for yourself. Amen, lot
- 28:00of time, but listen. Thank you so much for giving me your time,
- 28:03giving me your ears, giving me your eyes. And I prayed that
- 28:06you have a blessed day and a blessed week. So God bless you all.
- 28:08God keep you all, and remember always that God is good. Peace,
