- speaker-0: Let you show us your tips, Daggy and Beaver, with you for a weekend preview. Spring racing rolls on How A Beaver? speaker-1: Bloody well, thank you Adrian. Firing on all cylinders, what about yourself? speaker-0: Yeah, going well. Beautiful weather. Some pr some pretty good racing actually. The more I got into this, the more I was keen to bet tomorrow. ⁓ footy finals are here. It's cricket season. What else? What else do you want in life? speaker-1: No, it's all happening. The racing's hiding up. Cricket, footy finals. ⁓ Yeah. speaker-0: Life's good. How'd you feel last week? speaker-1: ⁓ Fared quite well, thank you. I think probably started reasonably good and good through sort of the early middle part of the day, but yeah, probably towards the end of the day, found it a bit tough as some of the longer priced horses ⁓ seem to show up. speaker-0: Hm. Yeah, just ⁓ well, Silver Needle was my best value on the day, so that's good to see that get up and just missed with two down discreet at fifties or sixties in in one of the latter races. But it was a fair day all round to go with a fair month that we've had, so ⁓ it's been good. Been good to be back doing it again and hopefully we can continue to ⁓ fill a few people's pockets along the way. we'll start off at Caulfield, ⁓ That's where the group one racing is tomorrow. The rail goes out seven meters on a good Four track, the weather looks beautiful. Bit concerned obviously once Caulfield starts getting out a little bit it may be on pace. So we'll keep an eye on that early. Any thoughts on how this track will play? speaker-1: Yeah, look, I wasn't quite sure, but I'm hoping that everything gets a chance. I think we've seen recently that you are able to run on at Caulfield. ⁓ speaker-0: It's been wet for ages and that inside's just gone to shit, yeah. speaker-1: ⁓ It has, so look, ⁓ you get a bit of good guide through the first few races of the day, but we know that that can change as well later in the day. I'm going to tip on the basis that it's a reasonably fair track. speaker-0: Beauty. We kick off with an eight hundred meter benchmark seventy four. A deep race as some of these as a good chunk of these races are. What are you doing in the first? speaker-1: It is a deep race and a very interesting race. I am going to go with Sapphire Siren coming here to... Coffield. His first up run was very, very, very good. I thought at Sanddown, I really liked the way that it hit the line. I thought it had something in hand there, carried the 59 and a half. So that can carry the weights. And last preparation was very good, got over further. So I think the step up to 1800 is suits. And I think this is a horse that will progress through the grades. for that reason, I've got it on top. A couple of dangers, I think, zoos flying at the moment ⁓ it's pretty foolproof it'll jump and beyond pace gets a two kilo claim so there's no reason it won't run well again and I'm expecting improvement from cavalry was good last prep and second up here I think it can improve but you know the top four on the market all around the five to six dollars speaker-0: No, no, it's I agree. I agree with everything just said. Sapphire Siren looks a look might be a good horse. It ⁓ had some good it jumped in distance quickly last prep and won pretty comfortably ⁓ and was a very nice return. So I I've got it on top as well. ⁓ and NMPRZU just for being in right spot. ⁓ and I think winning form is good for him in this race because there's gonna be a few a clump of them that haven't won in a long time. ⁓ and they're both gonna be in the right spots and I will cover both of them. The second is an eighteen hundred meter Well the world what is it the world classics preview. ⁓ so lead up to the derby and the ⁓ world pool classics preview. ⁓ lead up to the derby and the oaks and whatnot. And this horse ICU, I don't think it's got any idea what it's doing so far, but I think it looks pretty bloody talented. ⁓ it only got going late on debut and then last time out won by space and was eased down and still was a bit corky. I think when the penny drops, it's gonna be a nice horse. It's on top for me ⁓ from the stablemate Arashi Flash. who got the job done nicely and are maiden ⁓ and will I think lead. ⁓ we'll be pretty close to on pace and I think they're the two hopes really. What have you found? speaker-1: Couldn't have grown through more, thought they were the two hopes and I had them the same way as you. I think ICU was, might be just a slightly bit better than the other one. The inside gate I think is okay, I think it can posse up okay there. And if it gets the split at the right time, I it can get this one home. So I've got it on top, same again. speaker-0: Beauty. Scary times ⁓ of late years. ⁓ eleven hundred meter benchmark one hundred, race three. What are you doing here? speaker-1: Thank Yeah, I'm going for the resuming Bevs 9 from the Achaise stable. They've taken it to Melbourne here. I think this is a really, really, really good horse. It's won six from eight and just keeps doing what it needs to do. ⁓ It's going to jump out and be on the pace here. Trials have been nice. ⁓ And yeah, I think it can run really well here. First up has never been beaten two from two in a very winnable race. ⁓ There's a few other chances. The favourite winner's edge. is flying at the moment, very consistent. It will give you a sight and then the resuming palatin. Hard to catch but packed with plenty of ability. If it's rare and ready to go, does go well fresh. I think it's the knockout. speaker-0: I did note ⁓ the hoof fillers off Palatin, so I think it probably had a few issues last prep. ⁓ so it will improve here, I think. ⁓ I've got Winner's Edge, I've just flipped your Cornella. Winner's Edge and top, two nice wins. It's been one I've been attached to since pretty much since it debuted. But two nice wins in a second, the Cosmic Crusader, who's favorite a bit later on. ⁓ looks pretty good to me from Bevs Nine, who I Saw the trials when I was doing I did Sydney first and I was wondering where this horse was. And ⁓ it pops up here in in a nice race through a wind, it'll it'll go close to leading as well. So be in the right spot. Good day for Blake Shin tomorrow. ⁓ so yeah, I'll I'll be with you again. The fourth is the Phillies version of the Thousand Guineas prelude. and I went through this race and I got and I decided there's a good thing here. ⁓ I've decided the the ⁓ pretty baby race is no good. And I got left with Talaga Bay because ⁓ I like the form around s it beat something burning last start, who ran second to last week to Alara Antipova. and I like the different form lines. Both its starts have been good and I just I could be wrong, but I just decided that other race is no good. When pretty baby ⁓ gapped all of them. I got rid of ⁓ all. So for me, I'm gonna suggest this is a very and we're getting what, five dollars to find out. So for me, ⁓ Talaga Bay on top and and pretty keen. What are you doing here? speaker-1: Yeah, I've got another one that I'm pretty keen on and that's profligating. I know you're shit counting the last race, but if you go back and watch this run, I tipped it and I thought it was an outstanding run there. Got back, wasn't sued, but like it will want further than even potentially this. But the way it hit the line, was super impressive there. It was good when last in work. That was a great resumption, I thought. And I think this is a very winnable race. think it gets into the running line here and I'm super keen around the 4-450 mark that it's it's very hard to beat. Can't knock your horse but Prophlygate I saw I was waiting to see when that would be in again here it is and speaker-0: I am scared because I like you we both found it ⁓ at a big price in that race. It's had a good I think it's well come back in quite good order. So I am I am scared, but like I said, I just took the pen to to that other race ⁓ because I'm lazy and didn't want to do all the formula. The fifth is the guinea is the boys version. You'll face the cross. ⁓ exactly. The fifth is the boys version, the guinea's preview. What are you doing here? speaker-1: consequences. Yeah, cracking race here does look to be only three chances here in blind race, Wolf Gap, American Eagle. Hard to fault any of them to be brutally honest. I'm to go blind race. I just love the way that one last starts. That was soft and beating Wolf Gap. ⁓ The other would need to improve considerably to turn that around. I gave about two lengths, but I think the other one was... We still had something in reserve. think it'll be improved. They'll both be improved. So they're going to be in the finish. An American Eagle outstanding horse. Both winds have been really good. Very good first up and then second up. You couldn't fault it. Did have the right run in that race. Got up on the fence and won. Beating the fast finishing unit five that was probably a bit disappointing last start. So maybe a slight question mark there, but I think these three helped. to keep it blown raised on top. speaker-0: Same, I've I've just gone blind raise for American Eagle. ⁓ not much more to add. You've you've summed that up quite well. I thought it was quite impressive last time. Blind raise and we'll be in the again, we'll be in the front half of the the race, which should help. The sixth is the How now stakes for the four-year-old and up Mares. And ⁓ look I I've ended up defaulting to Bright Ots on top. I think the market's pretty much in right order. Does nothing wrong. ⁓ was good last time out. I know live another day was a probably disappointing up the straight, if we're being honest. Last start, but ⁓ she ran as well as she could have, and I think she'll do the same again here. ⁓ from do we know if customs staying here or going to Sydney? I assume it's staying. speaker-1: still in this market. speaker-0: Yeah. okay. ⁓ I have made a danger, now it's broken through. And one at a price is stardom. I I thought they did a good job chasing Beat Home Apocalyptic last time and and chased pretty well. First up and will be sitting up on pace with Brider Waltz, might be the one over the odds. ⁓ I've just got the stage where I don't I don't know, I do have point barrels so I didn't do with it. If it if it knocks me out, it knocks me out. I've just if it's gonna be back and last and need luck. I'll I'll take it on. What are your th what are your thoughts here? speaker-1: Yeah, I'm going to give it another chance point. ⁓ I'm going to tip it to that for tomorrow. I think this is a very winnable race. You're right. It is going to be back in the field, but it is going to be storming home. I think this is a very winnable race. And interestingly, it's ⁓ never been beaten second up and never been beaten at this track and distance. So ⁓ that points well for it to run well. ⁓ So I've got it on top. just thought brighter. was too skinny around that five to four, six to four mark again it can win. I think the only other two chances customs flying it's going to be hard to beat and if you've got custom in photograph can run well as well but I'm going to go point Barrow to blow them away down the outside ⁓ but the other three can't find too much fault with them. speaker-0: The good thing is by race six unit you'll know how the track is playing. ⁓ so if if we're not making ground you can just basically forget about it. That's right. the seventh is the first of the group ones. It is the underwood stakes over eighteen hundred meters. And ⁓ what are you doing here? speaker-1: Small field ⁓ and the potential favorite is scratched in Aliana. I'm gonna go Linderman. It's not a horse I tip very often, so that makes me very nervous. But from gate one here, I think it jumps to the front, controls the pace. And I think that's gonna make it super hard to beat over the 1800 here. I just think everything points in its favor. ⁓ be hard to run down. So I've got Linderman on top. Obviously Kosnik Crusader is a quality horse and will be one of the horses chasing. Yeah, and just keen to see how a couple of other horses like Birdman and Kingswood go. Kingswood was very good first up. Can it continue on and run well? 16s is a good price and Birdman was brilliant last time in. Can't see how it goes and buckaroo can run around without mine at the moment. speaker-0: with you. ⁓ did you see some of the Willie Pike having a crack at punters for Him missing the boat behind Baewack last time out on Cosmic Crusader. Yeah, well he's gonna miss the boat again here. ⁓ I think so. Linderman will jump lead win. Linderman's easy to find in the last when he gets a dry track and control, he just wins. ⁓ I would have backed him in if he'd come down for in that shit cox plate last year, put ⁓ if it was a dry track. ⁓ and Nash has been attached to him, but if I was gonna pick any other jockey in the world to write, it would have been Blake Shin, because he will get he'll just lead on his own and take off when he needs to. I think he gets the job done. I think if the rail's hot, he probably starts odds on. so $2.90 is a fair price for me right now, unless there's a real issue with the inside. I I'm pretty keen. I'd thought about making the best of the day, but ⁓ obviously Cosmic Crusader can be a scary horse and has to almost sit on its back, because if it goes any further back, he's not catching it. So there's some interesting tactics, but I think Linderman, given his own way, can win this. Pretty excited to see do so. ⁓ the eighth is Group Three Naturalism two thousand meters. And ⁓ it look they keep putting out five dollars St George and I keep taking it. I'm gonna do the same again tomorrow. Both its wins have been great. I think it's come back in really good order, gets a nice run again. and an easy each way bet. I thought ⁓ the Za Zar run was the obvious ⁓ good run there, second prep for Ma ⁓ but feels really short now. ⁓ in at what, two twenty or so. That's that's a bit ⁓ outrageous but that's fine. Take it if you want. ⁓ I'm just gonna back St George and I may have something on Campoldino 'cause I think he might lead. ⁓ I went back and just had a complete warm up in the group one last start. ⁓ last prep one second up a group race at Ramwick. ⁓ and if he goes forty you can be in this and might be over the odds. Another one where there's a bit of a tail, a few I'll throw into a quaddy like even strictly business at odds. But having said all that ⁓ cane is just back St. George. What you thinking? speaker-1: Yeah, well, I think you'll go broke back in Campaldino or Waterhouse because they're just busted at the moment. ⁓ Should be 20s plus and anything she's got should be much steeper in the market in my view. I just can't get me. I'm going to St George. I backed at last start. I was pretty keen. I think this horse is a genuine chance in some of the bigger races even coming up. Caulfield Cup, I think it was 40s at one stage there when I had some interest. I think it's going to be super hard to beat here. I thought Zerane was a bit under the odds, as you said, $5. Probably getting that St George because it's got gate 20, but it's already come in a few with some scratchings, maybe a little bit more, but it'll try and go forward and find a bit. speaker-0: But there's no pace as well, like half of these are just lob out and he'll be able to get across and get him where he wants. speaker-1: Let's hope so. Mark's R is on board. So I've got it again. I think the $5 is a good price and I'm happy to take that because I think it's the best horse in this race. ⁓ Zaran is an obvious danger. ⁓ But still, you know, still got to win a race here. ⁓ and hasn't done that yet and had three starts and I thought Sukuma, now it's going to get a start, was pretty good first up. I thought it ran on nicely in the Kingswood race and we know that this improves as the distance goes up. Was a mate, was very good last time in, can run well. speaker-0: Beauty. The y the other feature is the group one Rupert Clark stakes. It is fourteen hundred meters. ⁓ and I'm keen to get your thoughts 'cause well I was quite keen on Lady Shenandoah last week and they scratched it wanting a better gate. They've got gate one now and I hate it. I d I d I don't like it at all in this race now. ⁓ but I'm keen to get your thoughts 'cause you're probably about to tip it. speaker-1: No I'm not actually. This is a cracker isn't it? Yeah yeah yeah. It is a really cracking race, an interesting race. You could pick at least five or six here and still miss it. I did settle on two and I'm gonna go for warning. I'm gonna go three around the ten dollar mark. I thought speaker-0: The cracker race is it erased today. speaker-1: last start at Sandown was unreal. It loved the pace on, it blew past Tennessee bound, like it was nailed to the ground, just sat there. And that was an outstanding run, drops three kilos on that. ⁓ So I think it's an outstanding chance here, particularly if they're running on by this time. So that'll be a good guide. I thought Evaporate was very good again. Did a lot of bullicking work last start and still had plenty in hand at the end. Beat that food comfortably. 1400's spot on. Is drawn wide so he's going to have to spend a little bit to get across and go forward. ⁓ Just wondering if that leaves it the sitting shot ⁓ in the last 100 to 50 meters but I'll certainly be saving on it hit with warning ⁓ and then there's lots of other opportunities. I'm keen to see how CPALS goes first up. I think it's a really good chance. Had good form again last prep and ⁓ interesting they're resuming it here so got it and you know it can't rule out a horse like Tom Kitten ⁓ as well. speaker-0: ⁓ I've I'm with you. ⁓ obviously you agree you weren't that keen on Lady Shandell here. speaker-1: No, I look, I'm. Yeah, I just feel like it's going to be back and buried and going to need a lot of luck. Yeah, I'm just going to. Some horses with some clear running. speaker-0: I just feel it can be back and buried in No agree. ⁓ I've got evaporate on top. ⁓ I thought the first up run was good. I thought obviously it put away a the field it needed to put away ⁓ in easy fashion last time out. It's just gonna be in the right spot. ⁓ I had Tom Kitten ⁓ I know it says ten of eleven first up, but if you go and watch that replay, he just never, ever, ever got a crack at all. ⁓ and second up has won on some good races. ⁓ will improve. I think he's over the odds. ⁓ and the gate is a bit of a killer for it. But I thought War Machines ⁓ last start was was better than I th better than you first thought. ⁓ got held up and then cut through behind ⁓ Brightle Welt and Co. ⁓ so giving it a bit of a chance as well. But when we get to the Quaddy, ⁓ there's the ones you mentioned I'll throw in as well. ⁓ Sapals and a couple of others warning as well. ⁓ Good race. I'll c I'll back those two or three and and hopefully we get a result. The last is a four and a read benchmark eighty-four. ⁓ got a bit tangled up here. ⁓ tricky race to finish today. Track pattern will probably decide. ⁓ but I thought ⁓ I'll couple the two that'll I'll I'll couple up a two that'll be on pace, which would be stylish and porter. ⁓ both going okay, both come through the same lead up. They both will just run good honest races and you can get an each way price. Cruise weight ⁓ now needs to get the job done, I've decided, before I want to take a short price about it, particularly around Corfield, ⁓ when it couldn't do it at Sandown. ⁓ and I've got a bit of watch on Grand Omaha here. I think the horse is has a bit of a building. Went up on an Oaks campaign to Queensland. ⁓ has come back and trolled pretty well and ⁓ did some some good stuff fresh last prep. ⁓ nice kick off point for it. ⁓ what are you thinking? speaker-1: Yeah, I was super keen on fundamental nature, but it's been scratched here. So obviously running up in Sydney. ⁓ Yeah, I'm the same as you with Cruiserweight. I was disappointed. speaker-0: Should have won last start. speaker-1: Yeah, and even the start before I had the right run. So I've got a question mark over it. And so you're right at the 235. Not so sure having said that will be on pace, you know, and this is, it's not the toughest field of all time. I'm going to go for Savoyard, Savoyard, the third emergency here. We're slow away last start, but ran a very good last 400, 200 and wasn't that far off them, which the horse that won the race was fundamental nature, which I did like in this race. So I think it can run, it can run a really big race. Gate 11 should be okay with a couple of scratchings might come in one or two. So I've got it on top and I thought the resuming fear or not can run well as well. yeah, bit unsure about the last race, but I'm going to go with the 19. speaker-0: Do know if you quaddy? It's a it looks like a good old fashioned one we can throw a few in and hope for a a sp speaker-1: Yeah, 100%. I think that is the case. I'm just going to go skinny in the first leg. I'm going to stick with one and five Lindemann and Cosmic Crusader so I can bank it out a bit in some other legs. In the second leg, I'm going to go number 14, Zerrain, number three, St. George, number 18, Zakuma, and I'm going to chuck in number two, Asterix from the Wall of Stable at 20s ⁓ as a chance. ⁓ In the third leg, race nine, I'm going number two, Evaporate, number seven, Warney, number three, Sea Pulse, number four, War Machine, and number one, Tom Kitten. And to finish the day, I am going to go number 17, Cruiserweight, number 19, Savoyard, number two, Stylish, number nine, Fear or Not, and number 14, Water Sports. speaker-0: Very good. Your best in value. speaker-1: Yeah, my value bet comes up in race nine, number seven warning. And my best bet is going to come up in race four, number five, profligate. speaker-0: I'll take you on. Race four number eight to Loya to Laga Bay, my best. ⁓ show us your tips, Quinella, on the way there. I I I am really keen on Linderman too. ⁓ I've talked myself into ⁓ backing it tomorrow. My value evaporate, race nine, number two, Blake Shin all day. If he has a good day, so will I. ⁓ and we will head up to Sydney where it ran with speaker-1: Couple of beers on menu who finishes head to head in race four. speaker-0: Done. But we'll have it all up. We'll go ⁓ race four into race nine. See see how we go. It's done. ⁓ we'll go to Roundwick as well, where the rail I have not ridden down. what are we doing here? It's somewhere. There are thereabouts. it is beautiful weather, it'd be a good four-track. And we kick off with a thousand meter highway. ⁓ as I refresh now and tell you the rail's in a six meter position so you you obviously want to be up and about there. ⁓ one off probably not too bad. We kick off a thousand metre highway where I'm keen to bet with race one number one. ⁓ Arthur comes off a Metro win last time out where it led and beat Kimberly's secret and she's an artist. ⁓ that's proper form compared to this. It goes back to leading a highway. And are you getting what nearly five bucks for it? So I I'm gonna back it. The ⁓ I've got the obvious concern is coming from a cannery winner, Rose Hill winning, having to lead Ramwick. But it is a highway, as I said, a drop in grade. It sets up really well. ⁓ easy bet for me to have. I'm scared of cruising with the stars. I'm scared of Impendor as the dangers. ⁓ but we'll start the day I'm hoping with that. What are you doing? speaker-1: I'm just going to flip them. I'm going to go cruising the stars. I really liked the trial and I think it might just get the sit on here and be a little bit too good in the straight for Arthur but carrying the 62 and having to give six kilos I think it probably just leaves it the sitting shots. I think those two fired it out and I didn't really look too much further. speaker-0: This second is the midway. It is we're up to a mile. ⁓ what are we doing here? speaker-1: Yeah, super keen on the favourite here. ⁓ Tipped it first up, Baron Gary. It's that three wide. Put him to the sword. That was excellent. So as long as there's no second up syndrome here, I think this thing wins. So gets, cozy run by Zach Lloyd. And under even money is, in the Reds, bit of a risk. But this is pretty weak field. speaker-0: ⁓ yeah, it it's a mile. It'll win. It's the best of the day. I'm not gonna mention any other horses. La second up last prep, it went to the mile and won pretty soft when I was at Newcastle, but got the job done convincing. I think this is a nice horse. This is better than the midway grade. So ⁓ get on. The third is the a mile. It is benchmark eighty-eight and most of these came through the Golden Cup lead up. ⁓ I've just defaulted to market order. ⁓ Delitchie Bull Ride on top, the resumption was fine, now gets ⁓ James McDonald jumping on for Tyler Schiller, which is possibly the biggest jockey change you can find in Sydney these days. ⁓ gets a running line, ⁓ will be in the finish. I couldn't get too excited about much else. Fran I just thought it was interesting now Franz Joseph has had the the long, long spell. ⁓ and is now third up whether it's go time there, but but maybe it's a horse that never actually was anything. ⁓ what are your thoughts? speaker-1: Gone the same as you. ⁓ Gone the McDonald Waller combination here. The top weight was pretty good in the Goulburn. The last race, last time out at Goulburn, only just off them behind Just Barty, Cross Tasman. Both handy enough horses. This is a wheat field. I've got it on top. speaker-0: Beauty. ⁓ yeah, even if you go back through its early form, it's around Lazura and horses like that. It stacks up much better than this. ⁓ fourteen hundred meters, race four, benchmark seventy-eight, where we got a w ⁓ we get a mix of Melbourne and midweek form. You're keen on fundamental nature in Melbourne, you're sticking here? speaker-1: gonna stick. This is a hot of rice, I think. speaker-0: That is it's a good race actually. It it it's very speaker-1: It's a good little race. But I am going to go for it. Third up, I like third up. I'm keen that it's brought up here. Probably looking for this good track. 1400 metre suits and hopefully some improvement there. Gets the three kilo claims. It gets in at 55 and getting a bit of weight from the others. Super scared of Castle John. probably would have went for Castle John if it was drawn a little bit better. It is going to have to be used up coming from the wider gate, albeit there's again a few scratchings that probably brings it in through four barriers. So maybe not as bad, but I'm just gonna go fundamental nature, super scared of Castle John. I'll probably have a little save on it. And you can't leave unleashing out. That was a fantastic presumption. But second up here carrying 58 and a half. and can be a little bit of a tricky horse to catch. want to see it win again. Yeah, tough race. I think those three hold the key. speaker-0: I I'm in the same order. I I've end up with Fundamental Nature 'cause the more I thought about it, ⁓ I liked it going into the Cruiserweight race. it didn't get the clearest air and it finished better than Cruiserweight. ⁓ Actually I was more worried about the jockey ⁓ on it than on Castle John, 'cause Castle John will out of the shoot just roll across with Nash and he'll get he'll get there when he needs to get there. I I'm in the same first order, ⁓ almost right the way through. Stealth night I thought was ⁓ the value if you're looking for one out wide, just an honest mare, ⁓ never runs badly and will be up and about ⁓ just behind the pace. The fifth is the 1400 meter Group 3 Bill Ritchie and look Headley Grange is a good horse. Hedley Grange is a top horse. I liked its resumption. I liked the fight it showed, it'd be better for the run. It's gonna get a get some clear air out wide. ⁓ and I think it'll win again. on top for me, we're still getting a reasonable price. ⁓ I couldn't really get too excited about much else. I thought Altov was the pick of the Waller Runners. I think private IO will improve from whatever that run was last time out and Private I scratched. ⁓ okay. Even better. Can't do my dough on it. yeah. That'll do me then. What are you thinking? speaker-1: I think 360 Hadley Grange is a bloody good price. Mr Miller's out, comes out, because he's running today in Newcastle. Al Toffee will run here because it's scratched from Newcastle today. So probably a little bit of a few deductions in the market when Mr Miller comes out. appears to be running in Newcastle today ⁓ based on what I've and seen. So I've got Headley Grange on top. I think it's a quality horse 61. It's got to give the other horse eight kilos but which does even them up a bit and Altoff is flying at the moment but I'm going to stick with Headley Grange. I like the horse. I backed it first up and no reason to get off. speaker-0: The six is a two thousand metre group to Kingston Town Stakes. What do we got? speaker-1: Yeah, look, this was a tricky race. I really struggled here with some of these stayers sort of working into their getting into their work. Happy to put a line through the waterhouse horse that made it easy there. It left me with Soul of Spain, third up, while I here. Both runs in have been okay. But probably just letting it go round to get a bit of fitness under its belt. You'd want to see a big improvement here. Did run second in the Sydney Cup ⁓ earlier this year. So I think if it's got some bigger plans, then I think it's got to be winning this or giving us a mighty shake. Gonna also follow green spaces. I'm not gonna let it get under my guard. Third up here, similar ⁓ explanation to the Soul of Spain overview. Again, it should be beating a few of these and starting to hit its peak fitness. I've sort of gone that way. I found it just a high breasted pig. speaker-0: Yeah, my notes open with fucked if I know. So and then I and then I put Solf Spain on top. ⁓ just two complete warm up runs. ⁓ you know, tucked away behind Linderman last time out and J Max on ⁓ taking that as a lead. ⁓ I thought the Euphrates was good last time out, ⁓ resuming and the fact they've kept it around the stable for eighteen months, I think they must must have something to offer. ⁓ will improve. And Mr. Monaco was the one over the well, when I did the form was twenties, it's come in now. It was good, resuming at Hawkesbury there. And did some l link together a couple of wins last time. So in a race like this, it's worth some thought. But I'm with you that look we'll get a bit of a lead up to the Metrop, which will probably look basically exactly the same. The seventh kicks off the Quaddy. Now the sixth is up next. Seventh, T-Row 6, 1400 metres, group two. Is the first leg of the Quaddy. And I've gone with striking alibi here. scratch my head for a while and I just decided four hundred meters gonna sit. I thought it was a good good stable debut. It's just gonna get in straight into the box seat for James Macdonald and will be in the finish. but the market's right. I'm not gonna argue with the way the market is with Chili Girl favourite and Bangkok Hottie next. ⁓ got a I thought Queen's Gamble ⁓ has found is a very interesting horse. I've liked both its midweek wins. but again sort of just fourth pick there. ⁓ what have you done? speaker-1: Yeah, look, I think the market is right, but I am going to go Queen's Gamble. I'm just going to go outside that form. I really love the way it let down last time. Shared a really, really, really good turn of foot there and put Paytom in a twinkle. ⁓ hoping I can take it to this level of company, but at the $7.50, I'm willing to have a go at this each way. And I've got it on top, hard to split the other three that all ran close to each other, maybe striking alibi, just given only had the one start this prep, might have that little bit more room for improvement, but some couldn't fault the other three. Anything can win this. speaker-0: Cool. The eighth is the group two seven sunrise stakes over a mile. ⁓ what a load of you know, what's the point of even talking about this race? Should we just move on? Move on. Yeah. The ninth is Yarin Park Shorts. This is a good race, eleven hundred meters. ⁓ Group Two, ⁓ what are you doing? speaker-1: Let's just. It's beauty, isn't it? Really, really good race here. Headwall just is ultra consistent. Keep running well. It was good last and then resumed with a lovely run behind tempted, taking some ground off it towards the end. Or be tempted, may have had something up its sleeve. I think it did. But that was still a very, very good run. And if there's any improvement, I think it's going to be hard to beat. speaker-0: Cracker, yeah. speaker-1: Jolly star resuming here. ⁓ We know this. We know how good Jolly Star is. It flies first up, it's one five from seven. Coming back after, it's third placing ⁓ overseas. I'm put it on top. Gate 11 was a little bit of a worry for me, but I'm gonna stick with Jolly Star to beat Headwall and Ninja. Well, can't find any fault with it as well. It's just, this is the best test for it. Why is it? two qualities. speaker-0: Why is it giving Jolly Star weight? Like that I I couldn't work it out. I know it's a set weight penalties, I but I couldn't find what the penalty was. Someone would tell us. ⁓ yeah. No, sorry, I'll let you finish. Yeah. speaker-1: So I've got Jolly Star on top, gonna be a cracking race. I think those three hold the key, but maybe you just gotta see Ninja again sort of stepping up into this comp. speaker-0: I am. I've got Jolly Star on top too. I I ⁓ was gonna completely declare it. I don't ⁓ Racing New South Wales has it mapped last. I don't think it's gonna last. It's but it's gonna be in front of a few from gate eleven. My only concern is it's already it's I think it's the only Australian horse already in the Everest. So whether it's a a warm-up run, but No in the Ever Everest. ⁓ it's in as well, okay. Yeah. ⁓ speaker-1: hinges in. speaker-0: It'll be ninja home in Everest. It'll beat Ninja Home here. So ⁓ on top for me, Jolly Starr. got a watch on Joker's Grin. ⁓ interesting horse. ⁓ I don't need to add much more. I agree with everything you said. $4 Jolly Starr. If it wasn't if it is here to win, ⁓ is a great price. Great price. ⁓ the last is 1100 meter benchmark 88 and a tricky finish to the day. ⁓ which I don't really have an answer to. I'm probably gonna back Hawker Hall again, I think back to eleven hundred meters. ⁓ starting odds on last time. J Max sticks and is seven dollars. ⁓ goes on top. I think Silph's trialed well. The hoof filler's come off. I think it'll improve what it did last prep. ⁓ and have we lost fo we've lost photograph. Carbonatos, you can get under one and I will take a little piece of it, 'cause last time it was in Sydney it ⁓ it brained But there's other bits and pieces. What have you done, Beaver? speaker-1: Yeah, carbonara's 100, get on, I know. Yeah, 18, don't think so. ⁓ I'm gonna go for number 13, she's an artist. I think it can run really well here. I like the first up resumption here. ⁓ That was a pretty good run behind Arthur, so I'd be keen to see how it performs in the first race. I think there'll be improvement from that. Gets a good draw in gate seven. This is a pretty open field. So I've got it on top around the $8.50 mark. I that's a good bet. I'm expecting Hawker Hall to improve ⁓ one well first up. may have had excuses. Second up, maybe second up syndrome, I expect it to run ⁓ extremely well here and can't fault golden strand regime. I think it's going to be fit and ready to run well. Trials have been good. speaker-0: Beautiful. ⁓ the Quaddy in Sydney will go first leg. ⁓ one Bangkok Coddy. Two Chili Girl, three striking alibi, and seven Queen's Gamble. Second leg, favorite one out. Third leg ⁓ one a ninja, two Jolly Star, three Head Wall, four Joker's Grin, and we'll come home wide with ⁓ one Hawker Horde, two Golden Strand. We'll throw Carbonidos in because we might need some value. Five Ice Cool, nine Is scratch, never mind. And 18 Sylph. Throw 13. ⁓ she's an artist in for Beaver. 100 bucks gets you 105%. ⁓ hopefully we get a bit of value. One or two of those legs. My best in Sydney race two, number two, Baron Gary. My value ⁓ we'll make it the first race one number one. ⁓ Arthur, I think Mr. Monico at the price, it was ⁓ whatever I said it was, is is decent value too. What are you thinking? speaker-1: Yeah, I'm going the same best bet race to number two Baron Gary. I think he can get some money there early. ⁓ And my value bet comes up in the last race 10 number 13. She's an artist, but I also think race nine number two Jolie start four dollars. I think that's decent value as well. speaker-0: Yeah. It just seems a bit too good to be true. Like I don't surely it's surely speaker-1: $4.60 I think think ninjas probably a little bit skinny there. Yeah, I Think the other two probably should be around three dollars and ninja probably six six fifty But ⁓ speaker-0: I think so too. But if we're fair to income she's in the conversation for the best sprinter in Australia. speaker-1: Yeah, that's what I mean. speaker-0: Yeah. Yeah. I agree. What's going on in Queens? And so the Gold Coast meeting is the Metro meeting there, I believe. ⁓ yeah. speaker-1: I didn't do it. I didn't do any form for Gold Coast, my friend. ⁓ There's an Eagle Farm meeting, so... speaker-0: Ben Thompson And Dooman, isn't it? ⁓ Eagle Farm. Ben Thompson's riding at Eagle Farm against the some of the B graders, so follow him tomorrow. But who do you like? speaker-1: Well, I'm just having a look at Gold Coast now on just a quick scan. think race four, number 18, Canal from the Snowdon Staple, flying at the moment. I did tip race five, number six, start, last start. I think it'll be super hard to beat again. speaker-0: Surely Grand Impact gets the job done in race seven. ⁓ mate. If if it's if it's ever gonna win a race. speaker-1: don't know you want to and in the last I think number six surprise honey that's flying at the moment it'll be super hard to beat as well speaker-0: ⁓ well you mentioned Eagle Farm. Did you have a look at Eagle Farm? Before I diverted you? I did. speaker-1: but I didn't like anything. I thought it was a garbage filter and now it makes. speaker-0: Yeah, it's like I said it's the it's the ⁓ second tier meeting. Yeah, yeah, yeah. ⁓ so we'll move on. Cool. Yeah, not much ⁓ not much else around Australia, but I'm really keen to bet ⁓ in the two cards we've discussed. Thank you, Beaver. Thank you, sir. We'll do it all again next week. And ⁓ we'll catch everyone soon. Good punning and take care, guys.
