- MN90 Intro: Welcome to MN90: Minnesota History in 90 Seconds. June 2018, Jared Allen Yost, employed with a Minnesota landscaping company, had just finished mowing a lawn when he heard the sounds of an animal in distress. He followed the sounds across a parking lot to a car. And underneath by a tire, he found a kitten with no mother cat in sight, and the weather turning ominous, Yost decided to bring the kitten home. That night, he and his family fed the kitten and gave her some milk. But he started growing concerned, because the kitty was making some odd noises. Kittens are supposed to sound like this, but Yost’s kitten like this. Yost decided to send photos of his kitty with her super big paws and short tail to the Minnesota Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, who told him he didn't have a tiny cat, but a tiny bobcat, one of the wild feline species found in Minnesota. A group that also includes the cougar and Lynx. The Wildlife Rehabilitation Center took in Jared Yost’s bob kitty and eventually returned her to the wild.
