- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the almost famous podcast with iHeartRadio.
- 0:04Speaker 2: It is almost famous to ogs, we are here, Trista Sutter, Nayn,
- 0:10Speaker 2: stop it and me?
- 0:14Speaker 3: What's up?
- 0:15Speaker 1: Hey? Evan Bass?
- 0:17Speaker 3: Hi? How are you doing?
- 0:19Speaker 1: Look at you?
- 0:21Speaker 3: Why?
- 0:21Speaker 1: No?
- 0:21Speaker 4: I'm like, do you do a podcast? Because you are
- 0:24Speaker 4: all set up?
- 0:25Speaker 3: I don't do a podcast now I do. I do
- 0:26Speaker 3: a little radio show.
- 0:27Speaker 1: Actually, very nice you do?
- 0:31Speaker 3: Yeah yeah in Nashville. Yeah yeah, well yeah, it's in
- 0:36Speaker 3: a few different, few different markets. But it's called Get
- 0:39Speaker 3: Your Man On, and we're talking about it's like doctors
- 0:43Speaker 3: and uh, you know, professionals talking about you know, men's
- 0:47Speaker 3: health and all that kind of stuff. So it's pretty
- 0:49Speaker 3: that's amazing. Yeah.
- 0:50Speaker 2: Yeah, well that is your background, right, I mean when
- 0:52Speaker 2: you I remember when you were on the show. Originally
- 0:54Speaker 2: you were a if I'm not mistaken, a ED pills salesman.
- 1:02Speaker 3: I think they referred to it as a right tel
- 1:04Speaker 3: dysfunction specialist.
- 1:05Speaker 2: Yes, yes, yes, were you were you in Were you
- 1:08Speaker 2: in pharmaceuticals at that time?
- 1:11Speaker 3: No, so I was in the like in the medical
- 1:14Speaker 3: practice space like so not like not like pharmaceutical sale.
- 1:17Speaker 3: It was more like like clinics, like clinical things. So
- 1:21Speaker 3: I've opened like over three dozen medical practices that are
- 1:25Speaker 3: just like specific to men's health, like and lowt across
- 1:27Speaker 3: the country. So that's that's kind of where it came from,
- 1:30Speaker 3: is uh. And you know I begged them on the show.
- 1:32Speaker 3: I was like, please don't say anything about you know,
- 1:34Speaker 3: my job, like I'm more on the business side. I
- 1:36Speaker 3: do the administrative stuff like no, no, never.
- 1:38Speaker 2: Yeah, you come on.
- 1:45Speaker 3: I was so mad. Yeah, yeah, amazing, amazing.
- 1:52Speaker 4: Was she like better that radio?
- 1:55Speaker 3: The radio is really uh kind of to help that along,
- 1:58Speaker 3: Like it's more promotional stuff for it, like talking through
- 2:00Speaker 3: the different treatments for guys. There's like there's all kinds
- 2:02Speaker 3: of cool stuff out there now for guys, and when
- 2:05Speaker 3: it comes to mental health and d and all that stuff.
- 2:07Speaker 3: So it's it's almost like you know, talking about our
- 2:10Speaker 3: clinics and the different stuff out there, so it all
- 2:13Speaker 3: kind of flows together.
- 2:14Speaker 1: That's awesome. Good for you, man, And I love it.
- 2:17Speaker 4: I mean, for real, your background puts us to shame,
- 2:20Speaker 4: Like I, yeah.
- 2:23Speaker 1: We shall do a podcast that the hell am I
- 2:26Speaker 1: doing in here?
- 2:27Speaker 3: I like it. I like your background.
- 2:30Speaker 2: No, it's good, Well mine's not real, that's all virtual.
- 2:33Speaker 2: So yeah, I'm just kidding. I'm coming to live from
- 2:37Speaker 2: my guest room. If I didn't have my kids running around,
- 2:40Speaker 2: i'd have a much cooler background. I can promise you
- 2:42Speaker 2: that I have a really cool area that I used
- 2:44Speaker 2: to do my podcast, our podcast from, and I had
- 2:48Speaker 2: to give that up because of the timing of when
- 2:51Speaker 2: we normally do these. One of the kids is usually,
- 2:53Speaker 2: you know, pulling on a pant leg and the other
- 2:55Speaker 2: ones like throwing things at me and yelling at me.
- 2:57Speaker 1: So like, it's probably not I got to go kind
- 2:59Speaker 1: of to find some seclusion somewhere.
- 3:02Speaker 3: How old are your kids now?
- 3:03Speaker 1: Five and two and a half?
- 3:05Speaker 3: Oh? Man, that's so fun.
- 3:07Speaker 1: Yeah, it's good.
- 3:07Speaker 3: Ages.
- 3:08Speaker 1: What are yours?
- 3:10Speaker 3: Well, let me thank you. Twenty two, eighteen, fifteen, six
- 3:15Speaker 3: and four.
- 3:16Speaker 1: Wow, I'm two to four.
- 3:20Speaker 4: That is a huge difference. It's like, how is that
- 3:23Speaker 4: is the twenty two year old kind of like a
- 3:26Speaker 4: little like a father figure to the four year old?
- 3:30Speaker 3: Actually he's nope. He is absolutely still an antagonistic older
- 3:34Speaker 3: brother to every single one. There is no there's no
- 3:38Speaker 3: father figure about him. He's still terrorizing them and chasing
- 3:41Speaker 3: them around the house.
- 3:43Speaker 1: Evin, how old were you when you had your first kid?
- 3:45Speaker 3: Well, so Nathan, who's twenty two. I actually adopted him
- 3:48Speaker 3: when he was two years old, so he was I'm
- 3:51Speaker 3: a previous marriage and so I adopted him, and I
- 3:54Speaker 3: just so I would think when when he was born,
- 3:56Speaker 3: I was like eighteen years old. Just you didn't know
- 3:59Speaker 3: I had a kid yet.
- 4:00Speaker 2: So sure, Oh that's fantastic. Gosh, man, you've been responsible
- 4:05Speaker 2: your whole damn life.
- 4:05Speaker 1: Look at you.
- 4:07Speaker 2: You know, I didn't have my first kids. I was
- 4:10Speaker 2: forty seven, so I was an immature disaster up until then.
- 4:13Speaker 1: Trist To can tell you.
- 4:17Speaker 3: The pros and cog.
- 4:18Speaker 1: She just goes, yeah, pretty much pretty much.
- 4:23Speaker 4: How was life for you, Evan, what's up lately?
- 4:27Speaker 3: Yeah, it's uh, I mean it's just a lot of
- 4:29Speaker 3: kids and you know, sent one off to college this year,
- 4:33Speaker 3: so that was that was a big deal. Yes, the
- 4:37Speaker 3: twenty two year old went didn't didn't really go to college.
- 4:40Speaker 3: He just went straight into the workforce, which is great.
- 4:41Speaker 3: He's super successful. Manages a cool little hotel here that's
- 4:46Speaker 3: in Nashural. So this was the first like drive the
- 4:49Speaker 3: kid to college, yeah, and do the whole thing where
- 4:52Speaker 3: you put him in the dorm and like it's like
- 4:54Speaker 3: super sad and you're like, I'm never going to see
- 4:56Speaker 3: you again. You know. It's like that's how it feels,
- 4:57Speaker 3: and so U yeah, so that was really really emotional,
- 5:02Speaker 3: and it's still like part of our family's missing now
- 5:05Speaker 3: because he's just like he's Emplorida. He goes to f
- 5:08Speaker 3: s U in their theater program. So but so that's tough.
- 5:12Speaker 3: And then so it's like basically, I have a fifteen
- 5:14Speaker 3: year old who's home with me full time, like he
- 5:18Speaker 3: lives with me full time, and so he, uh, he's
- 5:21Speaker 3: very busy in soccer, but he's very much uh you know,
- 5:25Speaker 3: fifteen and like doing doing his own thing and like
- 5:28Speaker 3: all you know, always you know, chasing whatever he's chasing
- 5:32Speaker 3: on the weekend. And so he's he he's become like,
- 5:34Speaker 3: you know, it's easier at fifteen than it was it
- 5:36Speaker 3: like six or four, like Bella and Charlie are. So yeah,
- 5:40Speaker 3: when I get the babies every other weekend, they uh,
- 5:43Speaker 3: they they play together, but then they you know, they
- 5:46Speaker 3: take up that entire weekend. It is like just balls
- 5:49Speaker 3: to the walls kids. So it's fun.
- 5:51Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm in it. I'm in it.
- 5:54Speaker 1: I know exactly that I know where you're at, buddy.
- 5:56Speaker 1: That's good.
- 5:57Speaker 3: Yeah, well you're just about out of diapers on two
- 5:59Speaker 3: and a half.
- 5:59Speaker 2: All well, I'm going back into them myself. But yeah,
- 6:02Speaker 2: my youngest is going to be out of them soon.
- 6:07Speaker 2: I need to call you, I mean call on that.
- 6:09Speaker 1: You know, I'm in my fifties, so if you have
- 6:10Speaker 1: any advice or any you're in your fifties.
- 6:13Speaker 2: Oh, yes, sir, I'm fifty three, Tristan. I well, I
- 6:16Speaker 2: don't want anything, thanks pal. I don't want to say
- 6:18Speaker 2: anything about the other og on this line.
- 6:21Speaker 4: But I'm fifty one.
- 6:22Speaker 1: That gorgeous specimen is fifty one. Oh good, yes, thank
- 6:29Speaker 1: you very much. It's just good, clean living and lots
- 6:31Speaker 1: of vodka. That's what I obviously say.
- 6:34Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I credit it to Colorado fresh Air.
- 6:40Speaker 1: That's right, that's right out there. Christ and I both
- 6:43Speaker 1: got out of California early.
- 6:45Speaker 2: Man. We I'm back in Michigan where I grew up,
- 6:47Speaker 2: and she's in Colorado where you know, she and her
- 6:51Speaker 2: love of her life, my former roommate on the Bachelorette.
- 6:55Speaker 1: And yeah, but yeah, I mean I had.
- 6:57Speaker 2: Such a pleasure to actually get to I don't think
- 6:59Speaker 2: i've actually met you in person or did we need
- 7:02Speaker 2: a Jaden Tanner's wedding?
- 7:04Speaker 1: Did we meet that?
- 7:05Speaker 3: Nope, I wasn't. I wasn't around. Then you around that? Okay,
- 7:08Speaker 3: that was like season before me.
- 7:10Speaker 1: I met so.
- 7:10Speaker 2: Many people at the wedding and I and I don't
- 7:12Speaker 2: remember who I didn't meet.
- 7:14Speaker 1: But I feel like I know you, you know, I guess, yeah,
- 7:19Speaker 1: I guess.
- 7:20Speaker 2: I feel like everyone must have been there. That's you know,
- 7:22Speaker 2: on our show. So but yeah, but it's really nice
- 7:26Speaker 2: to meet you. So now, obviously you and Carly met
- 7:29Speaker 2: on the show and you know, got married and then
- 7:33Speaker 2: subsequently got divorce and split up. Is that it was
- 7:37Speaker 2: that hard for you to navigate that through the season.
- 7:39Speaker 2: I mean, I can I'm sorry through the Bachelor Nation
- 7:43Speaker 2: because I'm sure that it was you know. I I
- 7:46Speaker 2: always tell trust to us because trist has never experienced
- 7:48Speaker 2: what you and I have. But sometimes going through a
- 7:51Speaker 2: divorce is much about embarrassment that it didn't work out.
- 7:57Speaker 2: I mean, this is just talking vulnerable guy to guy here,
- 8:00Speaker 2: but it's almost like as much embarrassment that it didn't
- 8:02Speaker 2: work out because you know, you're in the public eye
- 8:05Speaker 2: as it is about like, you know, you're bummed.
- 8:07Speaker 1: Of course, it's devastating, even if you want the divorce,
- 8:10Speaker 1: it's devastating.
- 8:11Speaker 2: But it's like, I can imagine that had to be
- 8:13Speaker 2: difficult for you to go through it.
- 8:14Speaker 1: In the public eye.
- 8:15Speaker 2: I mean, you guys kind of met and fell in
- 8:18Speaker 2: love and everything right in front of everybody's eyes, and
- 8:20Speaker 2: then to have it kind of out work out had
- 8:22Speaker 2: to be pretty tough, especially with children.
- 8:24Speaker 3: Yeah, totally. I mean it feels like my whole like
- 8:26Speaker 3: social media identity was like around that you know, relationship
- 8:31Speaker 3: and our children and all that stuff. So it definitely
- 8:33Speaker 3: felt like on that level, which is its social media,
- 8:37Speaker 3: which is I don't know, I'd barely even I don't
- 8:39Speaker 3: really even do it anymore. But yeah, like that level
- 8:42Speaker 3: was weird out from the public perspective, like you know,
- 8:44Speaker 3: people were saying stuff and it's like you're friend and
- 8:45Speaker 3: stuff off. But just there's just so many children involved,
- 8:48Speaker 3: that's what That's what really really added an extra layer
- 8:53Speaker 3: of you know, pain to it, and you never want
- 8:57Speaker 3: your kids to see you go through this stuff. And
- 9:00Speaker 3: everyone you know, you know, I have older children too,
- 9:04Speaker 3: so they had seen it already. So this was like
- 9:06Speaker 3: number two. It's like man like you know, there's like
- 9:09Speaker 3: I didn't want to stigma with like two divorces, like,
- 9:12Speaker 3: oh yeah, that felt it was really heavy, and and
- 9:15Speaker 3: of course, you know, people were like, you can't you know,
- 9:18Speaker 3: it's too that's too many, you know whatever. I forget
- 9:20Speaker 3: what they said. It was several years ago now, but
- 9:22Speaker 3: it was really it was really hard on that level.
- 9:25Speaker 3: And then just obviously going through the process of disconnecting
- 9:27Speaker 3: from someone that you met in a really unique way,
- 9:32Speaker 3: right that very few people have the opportunity to experience that,
- 9:37Speaker 3: you know, all that goes along with that. So yeah,
- 9:39Speaker 3: it was tough. It was definitely definitely really hard, embarrassing,
- 9:41Speaker 3: all the all the emotions runs again for.
- 9:43Speaker 1: Sure, I did, I understand. Yeah, it is tough.
- 9:46Speaker 2: I mean, my my ex wife was an actress and
- 9:48Speaker 2: so our whole thing played out on television as well.
- 9:51Speaker 2: She was on ABC as well, So it was it
- 9:53Speaker 2: was one of those things where even though we were
- 9:54Speaker 2: still you know, we still get along wonderfully. Well years later,
- 9:58Speaker 2: we just knew we weren't meant to be married. And
- 10:01Speaker 2: after seven years it was like, you know, everybody out
- 10:03Speaker 2: there has a comment and opinion and they don't realize
- 10:05Speaker 2: that you're you know, you're a person. It hurts, you know,
- 10:08Speaker 2: and you're still going through something that's that's hard, even
- 10:11Speaker 2: if you both agreed that it was the right thing
- 10:13Speaker 2: to do. So yeah, I I totally get it. Me
- 10:16Speaker 2: and my heart went out to you when that happened.
- 10:17Speaker 2: And I know we didn't know each other, but I
- 10:20Speaker 2: was thinking about you at that time, and you know,
- 10:22Speaker 2: thinking about both of you and knowing that it had
- 10:23Speaker 2: to be really difficult for you.
- 10:25Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, it's been a minute now, so I think,
- 10:27Speaker 3: you know, the process of healing is uh, you know complete.
- 10:31Speaker 3: I'd say it's you know, going through all the all
- 10:34Speaker 3: the therapy and still going through that, and you know,
- 10:38Speaker 3: stepping away from sort of social like Instagram and Twitter
- 10:41Speaker 3: and all that stuff. Yeah, really was helpful. I think, like,
- 10:45Speaker 3: but you know, I'm always like, man, I miss I
- 10:47Speaker 3: miss mess around on those things and live tweeting The
- 10:49Speaker 3: Bachelor like it's so fun. Yeah, so I think about
- 10:52Speaker 3: getting it back into that stuff.
- 10:54Speaker 4: But do you feel like, do you feel like that
- 10:57Speaker 4: played a part and in the divorce and what happened
- 11:02Speaker 4: with you and Carly at all Instagram social media? Just
- 11:05Speaker 4: I often wonder how Ryan and I would have been
- 11:11Speaker 4: in the not the beginning, because you guys, you guys
- 11:14Speaker 4: were together for how long.
- 11:16Speaker 3: Let's see, we were separated for a while, so like
- 11:21Speaker 3: I think our marriage was like technically three or four years.
- 11:25Speaker 4: Oh okay, okay, so even more to my point, like
- 11:28Speaker 4: I feel like in the beginnings of our relationship, you know,
- 11:30Speaker 4: we all of that stuff wasn't around we It was
- 11:35Speaker 4: just message boards, you know, for me and Ryan. And
- 11:40Speaker 4: I've often wondered if the stress of that, because it's
- 11:44Speaker 4: got to be stressful navigating a new relationship that's in
- 11:47Speaker 4: the public eye. And I'm not putting this on you.
- 11:50Speaker 4: If if it played no part, then it played no part.
- 11:53Speaker 4: But I just wonder if social media did play a
- 11:57Speaker 4: part in just the difficulties that you guys experience leading
- 12:01Speaker 4: up to your doors.
- 12:02Speaker 3: Yeah, I think I think I resented a little bit
- 12:04Speaker 3: because it's you know, then it's I don't know how
- 12:08Speaker 3: much of a deal. So it seems like social media
- 12:10Speaker 3: for bachelor people isn't as much of a thing anymore.
- 12:13Speaker 3: Like it seems like I don't know, follower account all
- 12:14Speaker 3: that stuff. Uh uh. Then it was everyone was making
- 12:18Speaker 3: a lot of money on social media, so it was
- 12:21Speaker 3: not just like your relationship and like here's a part
- 12:25Speaker 3: of my life. But it's like hey, also like you know,
- 12:28Speaker 3: I need my engagement to be high and this to
- 12:30Speaker 3: be I need this, this, this and this stuff to
- 12:33Speaker 3: work out. And you know, I always found the social
- 12:36Speaker 3: media that like that part really felt hard to be
- 12:40Speaker 3: like we got to do a post, Like we got
- 12:42Speaker 3: to do post, Like it's then like too long, people
- 12:44Speaker 3: think we're breaking up. We gotta do a post. It's like, okay,
- 12:46Speaker 3: let's do posts, even though it's really like really hard,
- 12:48Speaker 3: let's do it. So that is challenging to like work
- 12:52Speaker 3: that you know, you're supposed to be authentic and real
- 12:56Speaker 3: and get you're you're trying to like, you know, help
- 12:59Speaker 3: come other company to be successful. Uh, and you have
- 13:02Speaker 3: to keep these certain metrics up or else, you know,
- 13:04Speaker 3: your agent gets mad at you or whatever. He's like,
- 13:06Speaker 3: you gott to join this. Yeah, he was like, you
- 13:08Speaker 3: have to join this TikTok. If you join now, it'll
- 13:10Speaker 3: be huge. I was like, absolutely not, I'm not doing TikTok.
- 13:13Speaker 3: He was like, no one's on it if you get
- 13:14Speaker 3: on it now. And I could listen to him back
- 13:16Speaker 3: then because yeah, it was you know before it became popular,
- 13:20Speaker 3: but anyway, all that stuff was just like you have
- 13:22Speaker 3: to have that in your head. Sure, pressure, Yeah.
- 13:25Speaker 1: That's a wrinkle.
- 13:26Speaker 2: That's a wrinkle trist that I didn't have, you know,
- 13:28Speaker 2: when we I was on her season of the Bachelrette
- 13:31Speaker 2: and then and then when they made me the bachelor
- 13:33Speaker 2: after that. I don't think and Tristan, you and I
- 13:36Speaker 2: have talked about this a lot. I don't know that
- 13:39Speaker 2: I would have been able to handle it in all honesty. Like,
- 13:43Speaker 2: I think there's so much negativity out there, you know,
- 13:45Speaker 2: where people are just piping in with whatever, you know,
- 13:48Speaker 2: and they just they just think it's fun, like oh,
- 13:49Speaker 2: I'm gonna say this snarky thing, and and you're sitting
- 13:53Speaker 2: at home reading it. And I mean, I've said the
- 13:54Speaker 2: trist a million times. She knows this about me, but
- 13:57Speaker 2: I'm incredibly sensitive about that kind of stuff. I'll see
- 13:59Speaker 2: a million things talking about how nice of a person
- 14:01Speaker 2: I am, and I'll see one thing that's mean, and
- 14:03Speaker 2: that thing will stick with me for weeks. I can't
- 14:05Speaker 2: shake it, you know, And so I can only imagine
- 14:08Speaker 2: when you're under the microscope with I mean, you know,
- 14:11Speaker 2: our show was a different dynamic right, we had like
- 14:13Speaker 2: thirty million viewers a week, but we yeah, but we
- 14:16Speaker 2: didn't have social media, you guys. You know, now the
- 14:18Speaker 2: show has like ten ten million views a week, but
- 14:20Speaker 2: like millions and millions and millions of impressions. It's like
- 14:24Speaker 2: we didn't have that chatterbox coming back at us to
- 14:27Speaker 2: dissect everything we said or did.
- 14:29Speaker 1: Well.
- 14:29Speaker 3: You did have like a s weekly magazine. You guys
- 14:32Speaker 3: are in that show. You guys are like, you guys
- 14:34Speaker 3: had all the magazine. I don't thin like those aren't
- 14:35Speaker 3: even a thing anymore. But you guys like the grocery story,
- 14:39Speaker 3: you'd be like there, yeah, yeah.
- 14:41Speaker 1: Yeah, that was more for my mom's. My mom. My
- 14:44Speaker 1: mom loved that.
- 14:45Speaker 2: You know, Oh, Bobby's on the cover. No matter what
- 14:46Speaker 2: the cover said, could be like he's a complete jackass.
- 14:49Speaker 2: My mom's like, honey, you look so handsome on the
- 14:50Speaker 2: cover on.
- 14:52Speaker 1: It's not nice.
- 14:52Speaker 2: Yeah, but yeah, yeah it was. It was just a
- 14:55Speaker 2: different dynamic. I feel like the social media stuff is
- 14:57Speaker 2: just it's tougher to navigate.
- 14:59Speaker 1: You know. I can imagine when.
- 15:00Speaker 2: You're married and and and your and your maybe like
- 15:03Speaker 2: like you said, I didn't even think about that, but
- 15:05Speaker 2: the pressure to post something together looking happy, even if
- 15:09Speaker 2: you guys aren't aren't feeling so happy that day, but
- 15:11Speaker 2: we got to get something up the ad.
- 15:14Speaker 1: I guess it should kind of create a lot of
- 15:15Speaker 1: extra tension.
- 15:17Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, you know, it's it's there's a lot of
- 15:21Speaker 3: different different reasons. I don't think it was one thing.
- 15:23Speaker 3: I just don't think we were a great, you know,
- 15:25Speaker 3: overall fit outside of the the beach of Paradise. Yeah,
- 15:30Speaker 3: and uh and and we just couldn't really get to
- 15:33Speaker 3: where we had too much common ground. So but social
- 15:37Speaker 3: media definitely, like I don't know, I just it was
- 15:41Speaker 3: never what it did make it more chalenting, I think
- 15:43Speaker 3: for sure.
- 15:44Speaker 1: Yeah, I could see that.
- 15:55Speaker 4: How was your relationship now, because because I assume, you know,
- 15:59Speaker 4: you work together, because you can't juggle the kids without communicating,
- 16:05Speaker 4: how how is your apparently now?
- 16:07Speaker 3: I call it. I call it professional, like I think
- 16:09Speaker 3: it's like and that really is how it probably should be.
- 16:13Speaker 3: Very yeah, cut and dry to the point, and here's
- 16:17Speaker 3: what's happening, here's what's going on. You know, if there's
- 16:20Speaker 3: a high a really big highre hello, it's it's you know,
- 16:23Speaker 3: we communicate through that stuff. But I think it's pretty
- 16:28Speaker 3: it's there. It's just it's what it is, like, it's
- 16:31Speaker 3: just yeah.
- 16:32Speaker 4: And then Harley obviously just announced that she has a
- 16:37Speaker 4: serious boyfriend. I assume that you knew about him prior,
- 16:42Speaker 4: but maybe you didn't. How has that been with that
- 16:46Speaker 4: announcement bringing up any emotions? How are you feeling about that?
- 16:50Speaker 4: And have you met him?
- 16:53Speaker 3: Yeah? No, I haven't met him. I just I've found
- 16:56Speaker 3: out about him, I guess a couple of months ago.
- 17:00Speaker 3: I'm excited to meet him. I really really want to
- 17:02Speaker 3: meet him. And the kids have mentioned him once or twice,
- 17:06Speaker 3: and so I'm like, I like, obviously wasn't she was
- 17:10Speaker 3: announcing everything and she shouldn't have. But I'm really looking
- 17:14Speaker 3: forward to meeting this guy. So happy. I really want
- 17:18Speaker 3: the you know, I'm happy for her and want the
- 17:21Speaker 3: kids happy with them too. So yeah, yeah, I feel
- 17:25Speaker 3: like I feel pretty like even about it. I'm like,
- 17:28Speaker 3: I'm happy for her. I want the kids to be happy,
- 17:31Speaker 3: you know, happy mom happy. Yeah, you know, so that's
- 17:35Speaker 3: that's that's a big deal.
- 17:37Speaker 2: Plus I think that's that kind of support is great
- 17:40Speaker 2: from both of you to the other person. Like, you know,
- 17:43Speaker 2: I always say that, you know, it's just because two
- 17:45Speaker 2: people split up doesn't mean they don't want the other
- 17:47Speaker 2: one to be happy in life and love. It just
- 17:49Speaker 2: means that they weren't as happy as they wanted to
- 17:51Speaker 2: be in life and love. Right, So it's it's nice
- 17:54Speaker 2: to be supportive of that of your partner. And then
- 17:57Speaker 2: I would think too, you know, it's probably a very
- 18:00Speaker 2: important thing.
- 18:01Speaker 3: You know.
- 18:01Speaker 2: When I got to Forrest, we didn't have children, so
- 18:03Speaker 2: I don't know that dynamic. I I I fear it,
- 18:07Speaker 2: you know. I feel I'm always like, oh God, I.
- 18:09Speaker 1: Hope that doesn't happen to me again.
- 18:10Speaker 2: But I can only imagine, like, you know, from that perspective,
- 18:13Speaker 2: it's got to be important for you to know him
- 18:15Speaker 2: and make sure that you know he knows that you're
- 18:18Speaker 2: supportive and that you're cool, and if something goes up
- 18:20Speaker 2: with the kids that.
- 18:21Speaker 1: You know he needs to call you, you know, or whatever.
- 18:23Speaker 3: I mean.
- 18:24Speaker 1: I'm sure you guys will work that out. But I'm
- 18:25Speaker 1: sure there's a lot to it, you know.
- 18:27Speaker 3: Yeah, I really liked it'd be great. Yeah, that's that's
- 18:30Speaker 3: a big deal. It's important to have all those relationships
- 18:33Speaker 3: be really healthy.
- 18:34Speaker 1: Heck, yeah, I think so.
- 18:36Speaker 2: Now, even though you haven't shipped anything on the on
- 18:39Speaker 2: the I G or on the Facebook.
- 18:45Speaker 3: Wait what does that mean?
- 18:46Speaker 1: I read earlier today. I read earlier today any uh
- 18:50Speaker 1: in Team Beat magazine that if you ship it, that
- 18:53Speaker 1: means that you are you know, you're supporting it together like.
- 18:59Speaker 4: A relationship essentially, like if you ship someone, Like if
- 19:03Speaker 4: I wanted to ship the two of you together, that
- 19:05Speaker 4: you were a good match, then I would say, I'm
- 19:07Speaker 4: shipping Bob and Evan. I think, you know, I would
- 19:12Speaker 4: be wrong.
- 19:13Speaker 1: Is Evan shipping? Are you? Are you in the shipping business?
- 19:15Speaker 3: Right now? Wait? Who am I shipping?
- 19:20Speaker 2: We're so confused right now they could cut the whole
- 19:22Speaker 2: show and we don't even know it. Like, are you
- 19:25Speaker 2: dating anybody? Like, I mean, what's your story? Are you
- 19:27Speaker 2: feeling serious about anybody?
- 19:29Speaker 3: Yeah, I've been. I've been dating someone for a year
- 19:31Speaker 3: and she's amazing and she is absolutely incredible and uh
- 19:36Speaker 3: we're met through work and so it's been it's been
- 19:41Speaker 3: really cool. The kids are obsessed with her and so yeah, yeah,
- 19:47Speaker 3: it's been really fun. But I've obviously kept it. I'm
- 19:49Speaker 3: not really posting anything on I think the last time
- 19:52Speaker 3: I posted was like, well was wedding a couple of
- 19:53Speaker 3: years ago or however long that was, and I'm just
- 19:57Speaker 3: not trying to keep it private. Do this a little bit.
- 20:00Speaker 3: So yeah, I get it.
- 20:02Speaker 2: I can imagine that you have to keep it private
- 20:04Speaker 2: compared to what you had previously.
- 20:05Speaker 1: I think that's a smart.
- 20:06Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, for sure, for sure, I definitely want to
- 20:10Speaker 3: do this the right way, you know, like you know,
- 20:13Speaker 3: I feel like the third time is the charm, Like, hey,
- 20:16Speaker 3: that's what I said. Nothing else outside of that, Evan.
- 20:21Speaker 1: We have so much in common.
- 20:22Speaker 3: I love this.
- 20:27Speaker 2: I was very divorced in a year my first marriage
- 20:30Speaker 2: and before I before I even met Trista, So when
- 20:34Speaker 2: I met Trista, I had already been through the meat grinders,
- 20:37Speaker 2: so to speak.
- 20:39Speaker 1: So yeah, but so I get it.
- 20:41Speaker 2: Man, third time is a charm, I think, especially when
- 20:43Speaker 2: you're a little bit older, because you kind of let
- 20:48Speaker 2: go of some of those, you know, those conventions of
- 20:50Speaker 2: marriage that you have in your head, like everything's always
- 20:52Speaker 2: going to be perfect and we're just going to be
- 20:54Speaker 2: like butterflies and puppy dogs all the time, and it's like, no,
- 20:58Speaker 2: it's not. But then you also have that factor that
- 21:01Speaker 2: you know it's not as bad even in times.
- 21:05Speaker 1: That aren't as great as others.
- 21:07Speaker 2: It's not as bad as it could be because you've
- 21:09Speaker 2: experienced a little bit of that too, you know what
- 21:11Speaker 2: I mean, So that that experience actually gives you, I think,
- 21:14Speaker 2: a totally different perspective to relationships.
- 21:16Speaker 1: And I need that time will be the charm for you, buddy,
- 21:19Speaker 1: I do.
- 21:19Speaker 3: Yeah, thank you, thank you. Let's go. Come on.
- 21:23Speaker 1: I got you, man, I got you over here.
- 21:26Speaker 3: My kids are also really opening and third times to Jurnal,
- 21:29Speaker 3: especially the older ones, are like that, come on, yeah, right,
- 21:32Speaker 3: I forgot So.
- 21:33Speaker 4: I know you're not on social so maybe not. But
- 21:37Speaker 4: do you still watch the show?
- 21:39Speaker 1: You know?
- 21:39Speaker 3: I took a break. Yeah, and I've been watching this
- 21:44Speaker 3: season and with my friend and uh, I'm like, this
- 21:48Speaker 3: is such a great season. I'm like, oh my gosh,
- 21:50Speaker 3: I missed this.
- 21:51Speaker 4: Such a great season, right, good.
- 21:53Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 21:55Speaker 4: We haven't talked about.
- 21:56Speaker 2: This, you know, I haven't been watching it, but not
- 21:58Speaker 2: not that I I know who Joey is and I've
- 22:01Speaker 2: seen all the great feedback to him, and I've watched
- 22:04Speaker 2: a lot of clips of the show.
- 22:06Speaker 1: But I just it's it's just a tough time of
- 22:09Speaker 1: the day from me. It comes on and I'm putting.
- 22:13Speaker 2: So but you know, my kids are at this age
- 22:16Speaker 2: right now where I'm putting them, and because I'm gone
- 22:19Speaker 2: a lot, my thing when i'm home is I'm putting
- 22:22Speaker 2: the boys to bed, you know. And so the show
- 22:25Speaker 2: comes on as I'm putting them to bed and then
- 22:28Speaker 2: and I love it, you know, Like I put my
- 22:30Speaker 2: youngest to bed first, and I come in and grab Grayson.
- 22:32Speaker 2: I'm like, let's go, buddy, and you know, it's this
- 22:34Speaker 2: daddy's time, you know.
- 22:35Speaker 1: And so I'm reading books.
- 22:37Speaker 2: I mean, you know, from about seven to nine o'clock
- 22:41Speaker 2: every night, I'm pretty.
- 22:42Speaker 1: Much on lockdown, and so that's awesome, you know.
- 22:45Speaker 2: So after that, it's like I'm catching up on other
- 22:47Speaker 2: stuff and I don't really have a chance to watch TV.
- 22:49Speaker 2: So I would be lying if I told you I
- 22:51Speaker 2: didn't even know what's going on in the news of
- 22:53Speaker 2: the time.
- 22:54Speaker 1: You know, I just don't.
- 22:56Speaker 2: But you know, I know that I like who I like,
- 22:59Speaker 2: and so when I watched Cliffs of the show, I'm like, man,
- 23:02Speaker 2: I like this Joey guy.
- 23:03Speaker 1: I really like him, you know.
- 23:04Speaker 2: And yeah, and I like a few of the ladies
- 23:06Speaker 2: that I've seen on the show too, And I really.
- 23:08Speaker 1: Hope that it all works out for him.
- 23:11Speaker 4: Evan, do you like for the end?
- 23:14Speaker 3: Oh?
- 23:16Speaker 4: Do do you watch spoilers or listen to spoilers?
- 23:19Speaker 3: Absolutely not spoiling people. Yeah, I really hope it's actually
- 23:28Speaker 3: either one would be great, but they both are like
- 23:30Speaker 3: so different in their connection with him. But I'm leaning
- 23:33Speaker 3: towards Kelsey, although Daisy is more like that that would
- 23:37Speaker 3: be the storybook bachelor type of outcome. But I do
- 23:42Speaker 3: like Kelsey a lot. I think she's really cool. Yeah.
- 23:44Speaker 3: I thought Maria would have been a great would have
- 23:48Speaker 3: been a great fun choice too, like she would have
- 23:49Speaker 3: kept them on his toes. Yeah, I would love to
- 23:52Speaker 3: see her be the bachelorette.
- 23:53Speaker 4: I think, Oh my gosh, I know so. I haven't
- 23:55Speaker 4: watched the women tell all. They haven't announced. It was
- 24:00Speaker 4: a mess. I'm sure.
- 24:02Speaker 3: I think they moved it an hour later just because
- 24:04Speaker 3: of bald cursing.
- 24:05Speaker 1: No, that's why.
- 24:06Speaker 4: They changed, didn't you. That's Oh my gosh, that makes
- 24:12Speaker 4: so much sense. That is hysterical.
- 24:16Speaker 1: That's funny.
- 24:17Speaker 4: I loved Maria. My daughter and I are actually watching
- 24:20Speaker 4: it together for the first time, like a season where
- 24:24Speaker 4: he's seen she's fourteen and she has seen different episodes
- 24:29Speaker 4: from different shows. But so she we went to the
- 24:33Speaker 4: Golden Wedding and so great it was. Yeah, it was amazing.
- 24:39Speaker 2: To stop it, Bob, I loved that wedding. Oh wait, yeah,
- 24:43Speaker 2: that's right. I wasn't invited.
- 24:45Speaker 3: Oh I say that.
- 24:50Speaker 2: I was invited until Trista added Blasilely and Max to
- 24:54Speaker 2: her guest list and then like you're out.
- 24:58Speaker 1: Yes it is, that's true.
- 25:01Speaker 4: So anyway, the kids went and Blakesley and me, Me
- 25:06Speaker 4: and Blakesley and Joey and Caitlyn were together at the bar. Yes,
- 25:11Speaker 4: we were at the bar with a fortune, and we
- 25:15Speaker 4: had this like in depth conversation that I feel like
- 25:18Speaker 4: Blakesley just she just bonded with him. She she just
- 25:22Speaker 4: loves Joey. So she really wanted to watch this season
- 25:26Speaker 4: with me, and we've been watching it together and Maria
- 25:28Speaker 4: was one of our favorites.
- 25:29Speaker 3: We loved her.
- 25:30Speaker 4: I just love how like she is just who she
- 25:34Speaker 4: is and she doesn't care and she does keep everyone
- 25:38Speaker 4: on their toes like she's not the status quo kind
- 25:41Speaker 4: of person that's on the show, you know.
- 25:43Speaker 3: I Her authenticity is I think so appealing, and Joey's
- 25:48Speaker 3: is too Joey's I think he's a fantastic brochler.
- 25:50Speaker 2: He really is. You guys, I have this group of
- 25:54Speaker 2: buddies that we are we're a text thread together and
- 25:57Speaker 2: there my it's my brother in law, Jady, who I
- 25:59Speaker 2: know trust has met, but my brother in law, and
- 26:01Speaker 2: then a bunch of really more of his buddies and
- 26:04Speaker 2: then me. But we're all from the same area called
- 26:05Speaker 2: down River, Michigan. And so you know, ever since I've
- 26:09Speaker 2: been on ever since I was on The Bachelor twenty
- 26:11Speaker 2: years ago, or since I was on trist the season
- 26:13Speaker 2: twenty one years ago, they've always been like, you know,
- 26:17Speaker 2: teasing me. And well, one of the things that my
- 26:20Speaker 2: brother in law and a couple of the other guys
- 26:21Speaker 2: on the thread do is they are super into watching
- 26:26Speaker 2: the women tell all the men tell.
- 26:27Speaker 1: All right, yes, So all I know is.
- 26:30Speaker 2: The other night, my phone is just blowing up and
- 26:33Speaker 2: they're toasting, you know, they taking pictures of themselves toasting
- 26:36Speaker 2: wine to the TV and you know, drinks. And their
- 26:39Speaker 2: whole thing was if they could, if they could write
- 26:42Speaker 2: the script that Maria needs to be the next bachelorette.
- 26:45Speaker 2: That's that was the consensus of everybody on that. Yeah,
- 26:48Speaker 2: and so as someone who hasn't even got a chance
- 26:50Speaker 2: to watch this season, I'm like, well, I know exactly
- 26:53Speaker 2: who you guys are talking about. Like they think she's beautiful,
- 26:56Speaker 2: She's got a big personality, she doesn't care what anybody thinks,
- 26:59Speaker 2: you know, add up.
- 27:00Speaker 1: But she's still.
- 27:01Speaker 2: Kind and he has a sweet side.
- 27:04Speaker 3: Yeah's a fun one for sure. It'll be a little
- 27:07Speaker 3: bit of a mess because she probably tried to quit
- 27:08Speaker 3: a few times.
- 27:10Speaker 4: I mean that that I think is right. There is
- 27:14Speaker 4: why she won't be the bachelor at But yeah, it's unfortunate,
- 27:19Speaker 4: and I do think that was the right decision for
- 27:21Speaker 4: Joey to make because she did try to leave. So
- 27:24Speaker 4: if any shows you that they're going to leave you
- 27:26Speaker 4: when the going gets.
- 27:28Speaker 1: Tough, I think.
- 27:37Speaker 3: I do.
- 27:39Speaker 4: Oh, I mean I do love the Kelsey and Daisy.
- 27:43Speaker 1: I've actually like d.
- 27:45Speaker 4: MD both of them and just love I love both
- 27:50Speaker 4: of them. I think either of them will be a
- 27:52Speaker 4: great match for him and he could find happiness. But
- 27:55Speaker 4: I okay, I want to ask you, Evan, since you've
- 27:57Speaker 4: been watching, do you have any addictions as to what
- 28:01Speaker 4: happens in the finale, because, like they've been alluding to
- 28:04Speaker 4: the fact that it's never happened before, So whatever happens
- 28:09Speaker 4: has never happened before.
- 28:10Speaker 2: I'm like, what Maria comes back, Maria comes Is it
- 28:14Speaker 2: post Harrison has never happened before though, or that's a
- 28:18Speaker 2: valid point because a lot happened before Jesse pre Jesse.
- 28:25Speaker 3: Yeah, I think it gets turned down. I think it
- 28:27Speaker 3: gets turned down by somebody.
- 28:31Speaker 4: That will break my heart, that will break my heart. Like,
- 28:35Speaker 4: has that ever happened before?
- 28:36Speaker 1: I don't think so. I don't think it's ever been.
- 28:39Speaker 2: I don't think a season has ever ended, not to
- 28:41Speaker 2: my knowledge anyway. I mean, we've had several seasons to
- 28:44Speaker 2: end without a proposal, mine included, but we haven't had
- 28:49Speaker 2: any end with someone actually proposing and the other person
- 28:53Speaker 2: saying I'm sorry, I'm not feeling it.
- 28:56Speaker 4: You're right, you're right. That's never happened before.
- 28:59Speaker 2: We also haven't had that that one person sent home
- 29:02Speaker 2: come back to crash the engagement ceremony either, which that's
- 29:06Speaker 2: my prediction. Oh really, Maybe Maria gets even spicier and
- 29:11Speaker 2: decides she's coming back to claim what she thinks is
- 29:14Speaker 2: rightfully hers.
- 29:15Speaker 1: Oh oh kay, heart, that's how I'm read.
- 29:19Speaker 3: Not a bad I don't be interesting.
- 29:23Speaker 4: I don't know. I have to still hope because at
- 29:26Speaker 4: the wedding, I believe they had already filmed everything I think,
- 29:31Speaker 4: and he seems really happy. Of course, he could just
- 29:34Speaker 4: have already dealt with all of the you know, sadness
- 29:38Speaker 4: and everything and been fine. But oh gosh, I really
- 29:42Speaker 4: hope he doesn't get his heart.
- 29:43Speaker 3: We're gonna get Okay, if what if Someone's like I
- 29:47Speaker 3: need some time to think. What if Daisy's like I
- 29:50Speaker 3: need some time to think about it, because it like
- 29:51Speaker 3: the previews were like showing her being really emotional, and
- 29:55Speaker 3: so what if what if that's it's just as simple
- 29:57Speaker 3: as that. You've come back like that. Okay, let's do this.
- 30:01Speaker 4: You're right, it could be.
- 30:02Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 30:03Speaker 4: I'm so I just I needed to come tomorrow. Is
- 30:06Speaker 4: it next week? Is that the finale next week? And they'll
- 30:09Speaker 4: do that after the Yeah, okay.
- 30:14Speaker 2: The one?
- 30:15Speaker 1: Okay, hold on.
- 30:15Speaker 4: I'm just reading he has the coochlear implant.
- 30:17Speaker 1: Yes, Oh my.
- 30:19Speaker 3: God, she's adorable, she's so sweet.
- 30:21Speaker 1: Yeah, I love her.
- 30:23Speaker 2: Yeah, she's the one who I really loved from the
- 30:26Speaker 2: night one intros I remember thinking, oh my god, that
- 30:29Speaker 2: girl is so cute.
- 30:30Speaker 4: Yes, yeah, she is super sweet, and I just I've
- 30:35Speaker 4: heard out there just people are like, I don't like
- 30:37Speaker 4: their connection as much. It seems like Kelsey and and
- 30:41Speaker 4: Joey have more of like a a chemistry, like a
- 30:47Speaker 4: visceral chemistry, if you will, And then you know, Daisy
- 30:51Speaker 4: makes him happy. And but also like it's funny because
- 30:55Speaker 4: Ryan was kind of listening in on the other night,
- 30:59Speaker 4: which she does not watch the show, but because there
- 31:02Speaker 4: was no Hockey on, he was he was watching with us,
- 31:07Speaker 4: and he was like, do you feel like they're making
- 31:12Speaker 4: us think that he's going to choose this one and
- 31:15Speaker 4: not the other one? And I feel like when he
- 31:17Speaker 4: was talking to Daisy, like there were a lot of
- 31:21Speaker 4: breaks in the conversation where they were just kind of
- 31:24Speaker 4: sitting there like, you know, it wasn't it wasn't blowing
- 31:27Speaker 4: very well. So whenever they do that sort of thing
- 31:32Speaker 4: and they and they kind of lead us down a
- 31:35Speaker 4: path of oh, these two don't have a connection, I'm like, hmmm,
- 31:38Speaker 4: they probably do, and they're just showing the moment where.
- 31:41Speaker 1: That was the old school trick.
- 31:42Speaker 2: Remember the old school trick back in our days was
- 31:45Speaker 2: they always made the audience think they're picking the other person. Right, Yeah,
- 31:49Speaker 2: so when you actually pick the person where you have
- 31:51Speaker 2: the best chemistry people, what you doing man? And you're like, no, honestly,
- 31:55Speaker 2: this was amazing too, you know.
- 31:57Speaker 1: So yeah that was the old trick. So maybe they're
- 31:59Speaker 1: going back to who knows, they've gone through dance so
- 32:03Speaker 1: many times. Yeah, the old days were simple, buddy, We
- 32:06Speaker 1: were simple.
- 32:07Speaker 3: I mean I was a fan. I watched it, like,
- 32:09Speaker 3: I love this show, Like from it was so great
- 32:12Speaker 3: at the beginning. It's been up and down.
- 32:15Speaker 2: We had so much fun together. Like but I always
- 32:18Speaker 2: say this and in Trista, you know, I say this
- 32:20Speaker 2: about you all the time. The one piece of advice
- 32:24Speaker 2: that I took from Trista which I thought was so
- 32:26Speaker 2: great was I realized that it really starts at the top,
- 32:29Speaker 2: Like whoever that lead person is, they really set the
- 32:32Speaker 2: tone and just to set the tone, like we were buddies,
- 32:36Speaker 2: like all the guys in the mansion hanging out.
- 32:39Speaker 1: We loved each other.
- 32:40Speaker 2: Like. There was never a moment where I was like, oh, man,
- 32:43Speaker 2: I don't want Ryan to get that day.
- 32:44Speaker 1: I was like, oh the beast time.
- 32:46Speaker 2: Man, I love you, brom you know, I'll be shamoo
- 32:49Speaker 2: sitting back here swimming in.
- 32:50Speaker 1: The pool, you know, while you're away.
- 32:52Speaker 2: I was a little heavier then, but but there was that,
- 32:54Speaker 2: And then it was like, but when I went into
- 32:56Speaker 2: my season, I started it that way too. I'm like, you, guys,
- 32:59Speaker 2: please don't think of this as a prize, because this
- 33:02Speaker 2: is a hot mess.
- 33:03Speaker 1: So just go.
- 33:03Speaker 2: Ahead and have a good time, get to know each other,
- 33:06Speaker 2: have fun, and however this thing shakes out, it's going
- 33:08Speaker 2: to shake out, you know.
- 33:09Speaker 1: It's like, it doesn't mean you guys have to be
- 33:11Speaker 1: backbiting here when you know. And I loved that.
- 33:14Speaker 2: Trista kind of led with that and made us realize
- 33:17Speaker 2: it was okay to be friends. Like we didn't go
- 33:19Speaker 2: in there and feeling like we had to be caddy
- 33:20Speaker 2: and enemies. And I almost got kicked off the show
- 33:23Speaker 2: as a result of it in the first week by
- 33:25Speaker 2: the former I guess he still is the EP but
- 33:28Speaker 2: came over and it was like, you know, hey, man,
- 33:31Speaker 2: don't be all kumbaya on the hot tub, buddy. I'm like, what,
- 33:34Speaker 2: I got a little trouble, But regardless, it was definitely
- 33:38Speaker 2: just a lot of fun. And you know, I think
- 33:40Speaker 2: that starts at the top, and that was one thing
- 33:41Speaker 2: I think really really reverberated through the screen for people
- 33:46Speaker 2: at home.
- 33:46Speaker 1: They knew these were a bunch of good guys.
- 33:48Speaker 2: Who liked each other and just adored Trista, you know,
- 33:51Speaker 2: and that was kind of the coolest part about it.
- 33:53Speaker 3: I think.
- 33:54Speaker 1: I think that's what I think.
- 33:55Speaker 2: Joey has been like such a the one thing I've
- 33:57Speaker 2: taken from what I've seen of his season so far,
- 34:00Speaker 2: he's been kind of that kind of a guy, like
- 34:03Speaker 2: just like a you know, almost just like a big
- 34:05Speaker 2: smile on his face for pretty much everything, and you know,
- 34:07Speaker 2: trying to everybody happy.
- 34:09Speaker 1: And I like that. I like that.
- 34:11Speaker 3: Yeah he doesn't. It felt like everyone was doing it
- 34:14Speaker 3: for the likes, you know, for for a while. Seems
- 34:17Speaker 3: he seems to not be that way. So yeah, it's
- 34:21Speaker 3: prove And of course they are getting really great follower stuff.
- 34:26Speaker 3: I was looking at it because I'm curious how they're
- 34:29Speaker 3: doing because it's such a good season. They're all like,
- 34:31Speaker 3: you know, it's it's back up, like you know, there
- 34:34Speaker 3: they're follower counsel all that stuff. So it's fascinated by
- 34:36Speaker 3: that work just because mac theme to.
- 34:50Speaker 4: Another question related to the show, do your kids know
- 34:52Speaker 4: how you guys.
- 34:53Speaker 3: Met, uh the baby, like the six and the four
- 34:56Speaker 3: year old. Uh, Charlie does not, but Bella obviously.
- 35:00Speaker 4: Your older kids. They were on the show, weren't they
- 35:02Speaker 4: They Yeah, yeah, yeah they were so so Charlie and Bella.
- 35:07Speaker 4: Did they know how you and Carly originally met Bella.
- 35:12Speaker 3: Bella has gotten it to a degree. Yeah, people ask
- 35:16Speaker 3: for pictures. Then then she gets really it's not a
- 35:22Speaker 3: big dealer, but she's just kind of like, oh, yeah,
- 35:23Speaker 3: I'm on a TV show. And so like a couple
- 35:26Speaker 3: of years ago they filmed, they did some I was
- 35:29Speaker 3: watching and they did some like throwback moment and it
- 35:32Speaker 3: was like I was like, hey, Bella, look there's daddy
- 35:34Speaker 3: on the TV. And I was like, yeah, it's like
- 35:38Speaker 3: a football thing or something. And she was like, that's
- 35:40Speaker 3: so cool, daddy. And I was like, yeah, that's how
- 35:43Speaker 3: we met. That was I mean, you know, and she
- 35:46Speaker 3: she she doesn't talk about it, but yeah.
- 35:49Speaker 4: It's just part of life, Like that's just what did it. Yeah,
- 35:53Speaker 4: that's how my kids were. When somebody wants a picture
- 35:55Speaker 4: my mom and dad. That's not normal, but it's fine,
- 35:59Speaker 4: or that's normal. I guess they were thinking probably, and
- 36:02Speaker 4: then you can be then you can be.
- 36:03Speaker 2: My son Grayson will be at like McDonald's playland. Tristan
- 36:06Speaker 2: knows this story, I think, but he'll he'll literally see
- 36:09Speaker 2: people like looking at me and talking and he'll go over.
- 36:12Speaker 2: He'll go, Hi, I'm Grayson. Are you looking at my dad?
- 36:15Speaker 1: Do you know him from? Do you know him from?
- 36:17Speaker 1: Bob the Builder?
- 36:19Speaker 2: And then they'll go what Builder and they'll say no,
- 36:21Speaker 2: We've never watched it, and he goes, I'm just kidding.
- 36:23Speaker 1: It's Bob the Bachelor. Do you want a picture with him?
- 36:25Speaker 1: He takes pictures.
- 36:27Speaker 4: I'm just like a story that's hysterical.
- 36:30Speaker 1: Oh, I literally does it all the time. I'll just
- 36:32Speaker 1: be like Grayson, they don't need a pictures on you
- 36:34Speaker 1: their fine? Really sure he's going where you gets it from?
- 36:42Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 36:42Speaker 4: Yeah, Oh my gosh, that is that's hysterical. My kids
- 36:45Speaker 4: are like opposite. Can we run away from the camera anytime? Anyone?
- 36:51Speaker 1: So funny?
- 36:53Speaker 3: That's how the boys are. They got sick of it.
- 36:56Speaker 3: I'm sure I do love that like it was fun
- 36:59Speaker 3: for a minute and then like a way to like
- 37:00Speaker 3: a very small degree, and but they that really affected them.
- 37:04Speaker 3: Actually they hate like social media or they hated it
- 37:08Speaker 3: for a season, Like they went through like a couple
- 37:09Speaker 3: things like it's all fake, it's all horrible, and so
- 37:13Speaker 3: they but they definitely hate the hated the picture thing
- 37:16Speaker 3: after after the novelty, Yeah, it's calm back down, like
- 37:21Speaker 3: it's really it's it's a cool, fun thing to be like, Yeah,
- 37:24Speaker 3: that happened to me at one point in my life,
- 37:25Speaker 3: and now I'm back to just being a dad.
- 37:30Speaker 4: Because your girlfriend watched the show, did she know who
- 37:33Speaker 4: you are before you started dating? I obviously who you
- 37:37Speaker 4: were from work, but did she know your past on
- 37:39Speaker 4: The Bachelor before you.
- 37:41Speaker 3: Guys started She she didn't, and I think like somebody
- 37:45Speaker 3: else told her, like after the fact, they're like, you know,
- 37:48Speaker 3: you know, like everyone was on the TV show now
- 37:51Speaker 3: I know, I guess. So she like looked at them.
- 37:52Speaker 3: She's like, oh my god. Yeah, she assumed I was
- 37:57Speaker 3: married because I had like you know, I was like
- 37:58Speaker 3: I talked about my five kids, right, It's like I
- 38:00Speaker 3: got five kids, right, married, And so it was like
- 38:03Speaker 3: when she found out she was single and she did
- 38:04Speaker 3: the whole deep dive thing, I was like, oh my gosh.
- 38:07Speaker 3: So uh And she's more like way private about stuff here,
- 38:10Speaker 3: so it was. It was a bit of a like
- 38:14Speaker 3: you're like, okay, I don't know, and I was like,
- 38:16Speaker 3: it's it's fine, it's not that big of a deal anymore.
- 38:18Speaker 1: Like take your time figure it out, exactly.
- 38:22Speaker 4: It's it's not all of you are I mean, for
- 38:25Speaker 4: all of us, it's not our identity. It's just part
- 38:28Speaker 4: of you know, our.
- 38:29Speaker 3: Story exactly for most of us. For some it's still
- 38:33Speaker 3: a very big part of identity.
- 38:35Speaker 2: Yeah. I always I always tell everyone whenever they you
- 38:38Speaker 2: know so, and this is something Evan, because I can
- 38:40Speaker 2: tell you you're a humble guy, and you know you've
- 38:43Speaker 2: been through it and you're back home and doing your thing.
- 38:45Speaker 2: But people always ask me, like, you know, what advice
- 38:47Speaker 2: do you give the new bachelors. I'm like, well, they
- 38:49Speaker 2: don't really ever ask me, but if they were to
- 38:52Speaker 2: ask me, my advice would be, it's not about you.
- 38:55Speaker 1: A monkey could be handing on a flower.
- 38:56Speaker 2: Up there, and the girls are going to get pissed
- 38:59Speaker 2: and cry if they don't get a flower, and the
- 39:00Speaker 2: guys are gonna get caddy and weird behind the scenes
- 39:02Speaker 2: if able to get a flower. But you know, I
- 39:05Speaker 2: think that's that's obviously, you know, that's specific to my season,
- 39:08Speaker 2: because just this season it was all truly about Trista
- 39:12Speaker 2: and if it's not true, it was true, it was true,
- 39:17Speaker 2: they could have had to chimp up their handed out
- 39:19Speaker 2: flowers and people don't Yeah.
- 39:21Speaker 3: Stop it.
- 39:22Speaker 4: I do. I feel like we met. Did we meet
- 39:24Speaker 4: on what was that show?
- 39:30Speaker 3: Jeez?
- 39:31Speaker 4: A country singer?
- 39:33Speaker 2: Oh?
- 39:33Speaker 3: Yeah, Kelly Pickler, Kelly Pickler.
- 39:38Speaker 4: That was it, because I feel like we saw each
- 39:41Speaker 4: other there, But I don't know if we had met
- 39:43Speaker 4: before that.
- 39:44Speaker 3: I think we were in each other Good Morning America
- 39:46Speaker 3: at some point or something. Yeah. Yes, there's been a
- 39:49Speaker 3: couple of times with the Pickler and band.
- 39:51Speaker 1: I love that.
- 39:51Speaker 3: I'm so sad it's out of business now or whatever.
- 39:55Speaker 4: Totally, that was so much fun.
- 39:57Speaker 1: I love Kelly Pickler.
- 40:00Speaker 3: Yes, cool, it was a.
- 40:02Speaker 4: Fun show, and I love Nashville. Getting to go to

- 40:22Speaker 4: and if she ever wants to come on, she can
- 40:24Speaker 4: come on the podcast.
- 40:25Speaker 1: Yes, I love it. Doesn't sound like she's going to
- 40:28Speaker 1: have interest in that though, but I don't know.
- 40:33Speaker 4: But give those cute cutie pie kids a big hug
- 40:37Speaker 4: from us, and we just appreciate your candor. And I'm

- 40:53Speaker 3: It'd be awesome.
- 40:54Speaker 1: Yeah, man, Yeah, i'd love it. I'd love it. You
- 40:55Speaker 1: seem like a great guy.

- 41:08Speaker 1: Thanks a nice guy. He's awesome, Yeah.
- 41:15Speaker 4: So sweet. I just like him, super down earth and
- 41:19Speaker 4: actually super freaking funny, and I just yeah, he's a
- 41:24Speaker 4: good guy.
- 41:25Speaker 1: I like him well.
- 41:26Speaker 2: As always, you conducted a lovely interview, Miss Sutter. I
- 41:30Speaker 2: thought you did spectacular.
- 41:31Speaker 4: Oh thank you you too.
- 41:33Speaker 1: Gripping gripping work.
- 41:35Speaker 2: You ebbed and flowed between, you know, the social dynamic
- 41:38Speaker 2: of a conversation and the hard hitting news facts.
- 41:41Speaker 4: And that's oh yeah, I'm just a hard hitting reporter.
- 41:44Speaker 4: That's too. And now I'm going to go eat my breakfast.
- 41:49Speaker 1: No, hey, there you go, there you go. Yeah, it's
- 41:52Speaker 1: early for you. It's very early for you, it is it.
- 41:55Speaker 4: I actually slept until ten thirty the other day.
- 41:59Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, right.
- 42:01Speaker 4: It's freakrkets. So I don't have to up and get them,
- 42:07Speaker 4: move in and make sure they get to school on time.
- 42:09Speaker 4: So not that I would meet, not that I have to,
- 42:13Speaker 4: but I just feel like, even though they're fourteen and
- 42:16Speaker 4: sixteen and they should be able to do it on
- 42:18Speaker 4: their own because Max is driving, I just I still,
- 42:21Speaker 4: you know, I want to help.
- 42:24Speaker 1: I get it. I get it in the same way.
- 42:26Speaker 2: I mean mine mine can't do anything by themselves, but
- 42:29Speaker 2: you know that's still I enjoy it. You know, the
- 42:32Speaker 2: things they can do by themselves, whatever is, I'm still
- 42:33Speaker 2: doing them for them anyway.
- 42:34Speaker 1: So there you go.
- 42:36Speaker 2: But always a pleasure, my dear friend. Thank you for
