Transcript
- 0:05Welcome to The Hypnotist, the show that gives you inside
- 0:09access to cutting edge hypnosis with real clients facing
- 0:12genuine. Issues.
- 0:13Brought to you by The Hypnotherapist, demanded by
- 0:16celebrities, CEOs and even royalty, Adam Cox.
- 0:20These recordings took place live from Adam's clinic in London's
- 0:24world famous Harley Street. So get yourself comfortable and
- 0:31enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:39One of the favorite things that I like to do is to be invited
- 0:44onto other communities of hypnotherapists.
- 0:48And one of the famous names in hypnotherapy is Elman.
- 0:52And that's because Dave Elman is up there with Milton Ericsson as
- 0:55one of the most famous and most influential hypnotherapists.
- 0:59Now, Cheryl Ellman is the daughter-in-law of Dave Ellman.
- 1:03She's also very influential in hypnotherapy and she has
- 1:07something called the Ellman Cafe.
- 1:10And I was invited to the Ellman Cafe to talk about two things.
- 1:15One was podcasts about how therapists can launch their own
- 1:19podcast, because I'm quite well known for my podcast.
- 1:22And the second thing was nested loops, which is this idea of
- 1:25levels of disassociation, which took inspiration for the movie
- 1:29Inception of Dreams within dreams within Dreams to create
- 1:33these multi levelled stories within stories within stories.
- 1:37And what I like to do when I'm talking about nested loops,
- 1:40because it doesn't quite make sense until I do the
- 1:43demonstration. Is that?
- 1:45I actually do a demonstration and I asked them to give me
- 1:48random things like a famous city or a place in time and those
- 1:52kind of things. And then in real time, without
- 1:55any preparation at all, I just create a hypnosis session around
- 1:58it. And you're going to listen to
- 1:59that hypnosis session and I'm going to put a link in there.
- 2:03So if you are interested in learning more about nested
- 2:05loops, you can actually see videos of the talks that I've
- 2:09done on nested loops in different conferences around the
- 2:13world. So if you're interested in
- 2:15learning a bit about hypnosis and how I do this kind of
- 2:18storytelling hypnosis, have a little look at the link in the
- 2:21description and you'll be able to learn more about that.
- 2:24And also, I'm doing a master class A1 day workshop in Vegas
- 2:30on the 21st of July. So if you want to learn high
- 2:34level hypnosis where you've got this storytelling hypnosis where
- 2:37you can just create really imaginative hypnosis sessions
- 2:41that are functional and creative in real time, I'm also going to
- 2:44have a link where you can learn more about that.
- 2:47And that's in Vegas. It follows the Hynothoughts Live
- 2:50conference, But if you want to actually be trained by me in
- 2:53learning this stuff, then this is the link to go to.
- 2:56So you can either learn more about it and see prerecords, or
- 2:59you can actually learn from me in person when I'm in Vegas in
- 3:04July. So for now though, find a quiet,
- 3:07comfortable place, relax and enjoy this session.
- 3:18Take a deep breath in and you breathe in.
- 3:25Breathe in a resourceful feeling of calm and relaxation.
- 3:31And as you exhale, allow your eyelids to close.
- 3:38And as your eyelids close, give permission to just let go,
- 3:47breathing in a wonderful feeling of resourceful relaxation.
- 3:53And as you exhale, just release any feelings of worries, stress,
- 3:58or tension in your outward breath.
- 4:04Breathing in the resources you need, and exhaling anything that
- 4:14you would benefit from releasing now.
- 4:17And the deeper you breathe, the the more relaxed you feel.
- 4:24And the more relaxed you feel the deeper you breathe.
- 4:29Each breath takes you deeper and deeper, relaxed.
- 4:38And as your physical body relaxes, your imagination
- 4:44awakens. And I want you to imagine seeing
- 4:51a globe, you know the ones, one of those anti globes on a brass
- 4:58axis, and just imagine spinning that globe and just stopping
- 5:07when you reach Central America. And I want you to stare at that
- 5:15body of land that links North America with South America,
- 5:20halfway between Mexico and Colombia, and just stare right
- 5:26there in the centre. And as you imagine staring at
- 5:30that globe, I want you to imagine what it would feel like
- 5:36to float in the sky over the country of Costa Rica.
- 5:46Just imagine you can float. You can fly like a helium
- 5:51balloon or an eagle soaring above.
- 5:58And then imagine flying over volcanoes and rainforests until
- 6:05you see an impressive majestic waterfall and just see the water
- 6:14tumbling down, the power, the consistency.
- 6:21And just imagine what it would feel like as you touch ground
- 6:27there within sight of the waterfall and feel the humidity,
- 6:34feel the warmth of that tropical climate there in Costa Rica.
- 6:40And as you touch ground, just imagine hearing roar, the tumble
- 6:46of the waterfall. Just imagine what it would feel
- 6:51like to have that spray of water droplets just floating in the
- 6:58air and just hitting your face. And I want you to imagine
- 7:06somewhere, somewhere close by is a table with a puzzle, a jigsaw
- 7:15puzzle with 500 pieces. And this puzzle is incomplete,
- 7:24but you get a sense that you are in the puzzle because you can
- 7:27see certain things that remind you of you, clothes you wear,
- 7:32your skin tone, but the puzzle is incomplete.
- 7:37So just allow that logical, analytical part of you, you know
- 7:44the one, the one that asks questions, the one that says,
- 7:48yeah, but just allow that part to work on the puzzle.
- 7:54And as it works on the puzzle, I want you to feel an irresistible
- 8:00desire to walk through the cascading waterfall.
- 8:09I want you to imagine there's a part of the waterfall with just
- 8:11slightly less pressure. And just imagine what it would
- 8:14feel like to walk through the waterfall.
- 8:18And behind the waterfall is a cave.
- 8:24And just imagine very quickly The Cave leads to a door, which
- 8:31is strange. Why is there a door in a cave
- 8:35behind a waterfall in Costa Rica?
- 8:39As I countdown from 5 to 1, you will open the door and walk
- 8:43through 5 putting your hand on the handle, 4 turning the
- 8:50handle, 3 opening the door, 2 walking through the door and one
- 8:59closing the door behind you. And you realize you are in a
- 9:05palace. Not just any palace, the largest
- 9:12palace in England, there in the center of London.
- 9:20But I want you to imagine you have this palace all to
- 9:25yourself. Every room is available.
- 9:31You have a feeling, a feeling of freedom that you can navigate
- 9:39anywhere in this palace you desire.
- 9:43And I want you to imagine, you decide to go to the throne room,
- 9:51the room within the palace designed for ceremony and
- 9:56special occasions. And I want you to imagine what
- 10:02it would feel like if the throne represents a wonderful
- 10:09transformation. And I want you to imagine,
- 10:15imagine 1 area of your life that you would seek to transform if
- 10:22you could. Maybe it's something emotional,
- 10:26something that triggers you, no longer triggers you, something
- 10:30physical, something that you can't do now, but you would want
- 10:35to do through the transformation of learning.
- 10:39Or perhaps a different type of transformation, transforming a
- 10:42relationship that you have with someone else.
- 10:47And then just imagine that the version of you that sits on the
- 10:51throne is the transformed version of you.
- 10:58But just know that now isn't the time yet to sit on that throne.
- 11:08And there is something curious in the throne room, a painting.
- 11:15And most paintings are of former kings and Queens.
- 11:21But there is one painting in the throne room that seems to be of
- 11:28the West of North America. You can see deserts, canyons,
- 11:37maybe old wooden buildings. And for now, you do not sit on
- 11:43the throne. You're gravitating to the
- 11:46picture of the Old West. And I want you to imagine as you
- 11:54stare into the picture, there is a desire to walk into the
- 12:02picture. And as you do find yourself
- 12:07there in the Old West in the 1800s, a time of Cowboys and
- 12:15pioneers, a time of speculators looking for gold.
- 12:24And I want you to get a sense, a sense that here it is a time of
- 12:31risk and hope, people pursuing dreams, but not without
- 12:37challenges. And it's the speculators that
- 12:45seem to resonate with you. And I want you to follow them to
- 12:50the streams and treaks that they would be panning for gold.
- 12:56And just imagine you have everything you need, a pan for
- 13:00gold. And I want you to imagine
- 13:05picking up a big scoop of dirt and silt, small pebbles, shaking
- 13:11them, looking for the Nuggets of gold.
- 13:15And you can't help but wonder, what is it possible within your
- 13:21life to look through the things of no value, to find the things
- 13:31of real value? And you don't have to know what
- 13:36the Nuggets of gold are in your life.
- 13:39Just know that there absolutely are them just waiting to be
- 13:45found. And I want you to imagine,
- 13:49rather than finding a small nugget, you give it a shake and
- 13:54then you see a large nugget of gold.
- 13:59This nugget of gold represents the very resource needed for a
- 14:03wonderful transformation in your life.
- 14:09And I want you to imagine holding that nugget and placing
- 14:15it on top of a rock. And next to the rock is
- 14:19something odd and unusual. I want you to see the police
- 14:25box, almost like a large telephone box, but in blue.
- 14:33A strange place, like a little room, a container.
- 14:41But what's even stranger is that when you open the door of this
- 14:45small police box, inside is much larger than the outside.
- 14:52And I want you to get the sense that you have discovered a
- 14:54TARDIS tool, a vehicle to travel through space and time.
- 15:03And it dawns on you there is only one place for you to go
- 15:09where you can find what you need for this wonderful
- 15:13transformation. And I want you to see in the
- 15:18TARDIS a book by JM Barry called Peter Pan.
- 15:24And I want you to imagine flicking to a page where you can
- 15:29see a picture of Never Neverland, and then imagine
- 15:35holding up that picture to a scanner.
- 15:41It scans the picture and then it takes you through space and time
- 15:48and multiple realities to Never Neverland.
- 15:55And what's interesting is that when you open the door to leave
- 15:59the TARDIS, you don't leave as you are.
- 16:02You leave as the childlike version of you, because in Never
- 16:07Neverland, you're always a child.
- 16:13I want you to connect without feeling of the time in your life
- 16:17when you had the biggest dreams, wonderful dreams, about what you
- 16:23wanted to do and to be. And I want you to imagine.
- 16:30I want you to imagine seeing somewhere in Never Neverland a
- 16:34full length magical mirror encrusted with diamonds and
- 16:38jewels. But the mirror does not show you
- 16:42as you are. It shows you as you are meant to
- 16:46be with a wonderful transformation.
- 16:52And I want you to imagine seeing that transformed version of you
- 16:57and just temporarily step into the mirror, experience what it
- 17:02would be like to have that transformation and feel that you
- 17:06can recalibrate and update your frequency to align with that
- 17:13specific transformation. And once it's there, you then
- 17:21walk back through the mirror, taking a clear idea of what it
- 17:26would take for this transformation to occur.
- 17:31And maybe this transformation just requires a decision.
- 17:36Maybe it requires planning and implementation.
- 17:41And maybe you don't know how you will experience this
- 17:44transformation. You just feel that whatever it
- 17:50would take to experience the transformation will appear to
- 17:53you at some point in the near future, like an epiphany, a
- 17:59Eureka moment yet to be experienced.
- 18:04And as you hold that thought, you go back into the TARDIS and
- 18:10decide it's time to return. But you return with a new found
- 18:17sense of youth, energy, ambition and self belief.
- 18:23And when you leave that TARDIS back there in the Old West, I
- 18:28want you to see that nugget of gold.
- 18:30But it's twice as big now and it's glowing.
- 18:35And this nugget of gold represents whatever resource you
- 18:38need to facilitate your transformation.
- 18:44Maybe it is confidence, maybe it is tenacity, creativity,
- 18:50willpower. But just imagine as you hold the
- 18:55nugget of gold, that resource transfers from the gold into
- 19:01you. Feel that resource transferring.
- 19:06Feel that you are unlocking the very resource that you would
- 19:09need to enable you to transform in this area of your life.
- 19:17And as you leave the Creek and the stream and return back to a
- 19:23scene from a picture, you jump back through the picture and
- 19:27find yourself in the throne room of Buckingham Palace.
- 19:33Only now you feel that you know exactly what it would feel like
- 19:38to sit on the throne as the version of you that has already
- 19:43transformed. So feel that.
- 19:47Now imagine sitting on the throne, imagining exactly what
- 19:52it would feel like when you have irrefutable evidence of your
- 19:56transformation. As you ask yourself, what would
- 20:00I need to experience to believe that the transformation has
- 20:06happened rather than could happen?
- 20:10This is your finishing line to let you know exactly where
- 20:13you're heading. And then just imagine you feel
- 20:18that you are vibrating every resource within you to make this
- 20:23transformation happen. So you leave the throne until
- 20:28you find an odd shaped door. And when you walk through that
- 20:33door, you find yourself in a cave, hearing the rumble of a
- 20:39waterfall. And as you walk through The Cave
- 20:44and through the waterfall, you can see that logical, analytical
- 20:51version of you working on a jigsaw puzzle.
- 20:56And when you get closer, you can see the jigsaw puzzle has just
- 21:01one piece remaining for it to be completed.
- 21:06So you pick up the piece and put it in and it reveals picture of
- 21:12the future version of you that has transformed and living with
- 21:19that transformation. I want you to get a sense that
- 21:25you feel absolute belief, absolute worthiness, and a
- 21:31feeling of inevitability that this transformation will occur
- 21:35within you. And then you start to levitate
- 21:40and float up into the air until you're in the sky overlooking a
- 21:46waterfall, which then becomes a nation, which then becomes a
- 21:51globe. And then just imagine spinning
- 21:54an antique globe with a profound sense that a wonderful
- 21:59transformation is heading your way.
- 22:05I want you to get a feeling that this has been a wonderful
- 22:10journey within your imagination. A journey of thoughts within
- 22:15thoughts, ideas within ideas, and dreams within dreams.
- 22:20But it's time to return with all of this insight, resources, and
- 22:24clarity with you. Take a deep breath in through
- 22:28your nose and out through your nose.
- 22:32Wiggle your fingers and wiggle your toes.
- 22:35Connect and calibrate into the here and the now as I now count
- 22:39from 1:00 to 10:00 to awaken you.
- 22:43Starting to count 123 waking up 456 more alert 7-8.
- 22:50Open your eyes. Open your eyes 910.
- 22:53Wide awake. Wide awake.
