- 0:00Well, new podcast, it's a warm day, 8082° in here, so it's a
- 0:08little toasty, but yeah, I'm excited.
- 0:13I feel like we haven't done a pod in the studio in quite some
- 0:18time. You know, the last couple were
- 0:22in the pool, I think. And then up with Vince.
- 0:26So yeah, it's been a little, little bit on the road, but
- 0:31quite a bit happening. You put a new product, actually,
- 0:37you got a whole new bow set up. You got the bow tech virtue set
- 0:42up. No, no.
- 0:43Oh my. So let's talk about it.
- 0:46So you have the core Sr. for quite a while, which I, I love.
- 0:53I really liked the core Sr. Obviously I've been shooting, I
- 0:56did shoot the virtue for a little while and I also shot
- 1:00mostly the proven 34 this year. So you switched from the core
- 1:06Sr. to the virtue. And I think, correct me if I'm
- 1:11wrong, the main reason why you wanted to switch was because
- 1:17you're a smaller framed person and you wanted to try something
- 1:22light so that you could potentially add more weight to
- 1:28essentially have it weigh the same but be balanced more how
- 1:31you like. Is that correct?
- 1:32Yes, that is accurate. That is accurate and I'm still
- 1:38deciding. I put the ACCU Archery SOS tool
- 1:44on the bottom right side of the bow because I'm a lefty and I
- 1:48always shoot with my quiver on. And so far that seems to do a
- 1:54pretty decent job. Just the weight of it, that's
- 1:56not the purpose of it, but the weight of it to help kind of
- 2:00counteract, you know, the quiver.
- 2:03You know the quiver is not, it's the lightest quiver there is on
- 2:06the market. So the airlock, so it's not
- 2:09heavy by any means. So that little bit of weight
- 2:12from the SOS does seem to balance it out.
- 2:15I need to shoot it a little bit more to fully decide if I don't
- 2:18want to do any sort of light back bar but just holding it in
- 2:24comparison to like. I think I picked up Joey's bow
- 2:26which weighed relatively similar to mine.
- 2:31My last bow. Shocking difference and I have
- 2:36noticed it in my my hold. What's that?
- 2:41I just almost had an emergency, but keep going, yeah.
- 2:47Your face looked like you had the merch.
- 2:49But. I know I made it sound like.
- 2:52I know. I didn't say anything wild this
- 2:54time. Like, what was that face?
- 2:56Yeah. Oh, boy.
- 2:57We may have to take a pause. I'll put in a commercial.
- 3:00You hear sounds in the background, You know, just blame
- 3:04him on the dog. Speaking of which, the airlock
- 3:07quiver, very good quiver, very light quiver, and you have light
- 3:12bulb, both of which you know. Good time to talk about it.
- 3:16You can get the airlock quiver, podium archer.com.
- 3:19Yep, code pump pump station or team BD Team BD is the code that
- 3:24will save you 10% Podium archer.com as well as a whole
- 3:28plethora of other archery products.
- 3:31And shout out to Bowtech. I'm going to fit Bowtech in this
- 3:34little AB read as well because Bowtech, you know, I've shot
- 3:38them possibly longer than anybody.
- 3:41And great technology deadlock. Amazing.
- 3:45Gridlock. Amazing.
- 3:47No, I haven't yet. I will be showering soon.
- 3:50Yeah, but shout out to Bowtech. Yeah, shout out to
- 3:52bowtechpodiumarcher.com. Code Team BD saves money.
- 3:56Yes. So back to it.
- 3:58So we did a shoot the this past weekend that was 2 targets per
- 4:0432 targets. There's 64 arrows.
- 4:07You said that incorrectly. Two targets per.
- 4:11Two targets per. Oh yeah, two arrows per target
- 4:16is what I mean, 32 targets at 64 arrows, +2 mulligans that they
- 4:23stamped on our card. So 66 arrows.
- 4:26It was a lot. And I tell you what for, I mean
- 4:2998% of the shoot, it just felt, it felt good, it felt steady.
- 4:37It was an unmarked, is that what we call, what do we call a
- 4:39marked shoot? So we could not use range
- 4:43finders. So, you know, a couple fives
- 4:47here and there, but that was due to unmarked.
- 4:52The little things like finalizing shooting that much
- 4:55got me to see, I think I do need to make a shift over all of the
- 4:58housing to the left, a major adjustment and put back in my
- 5:02clicks for my minors, but little things like that.
- 5:06But overall, the feel of the bow, it just felt steady.
- 5:09It didn't feel twitchy. It didn't feel like it was too
- 5:11much for me, like too much of A bow, too much to handle.
- 5:16It's just it wasn't too much of A bow.
- 5:19It's just right. Well, I think another thing
- 5:21that's nice about it is I do think it's a good fit for you,
- 5:2532 inch axle to axle, so a little bit one inch shorter than
- 5:28the core Sr. but very similar to the core Sr. fast bow, very
- 5:32similar cams. It's a similar bow, it's just
- 5:36obviously much lighter and one inch shorter.
- 5:38So for you and I think it's great, it's a good size.
- 5:42Yeah. And and that's what it's about.
- 5:44It's finding what is just right for you.
- 5:48And when you're a a smaller person, like every little thing
- 5:53makes a difference and it's finding what that little thing
- 5:56is that you want to adjust. So I think we're pretty much
- 6:03near darn closer set to what it's going to stay like for
- 6:06quite some time. I could not see a reason for
- 6:09changing or wanting to change this bow or pieces on it at all.
- 6:15I've always been other than that one darn end thing that I I
- 6:19can't seem to tighten enough to hold my my arrow and I figured
- 6:23just never get it quite tight enough.
- 6:26I the the lightness of the, the the quiver is is fantastic.
- 6:36The new site. We did want to run the ultra
- 6:39views new site. But however, this disclaimer, if
- 6:43you own a virtue, it doesn't fit a virtue.
- 6:46It was just a timing thing in manufacturing of both companies.
- 6:49The virtue came out a little later than all of the other bow
- 6:52drops. So it was not there was not a
- 6:55single one out for ultra view to test before they went into
- 7:00production of their new 2 point O site.
- 7:04So just a not an oversight even just you know, the timing didn't
- 7:09work out for them to test it on that though as well.
- 7:12So we got it in didn't know, nobody knew it didn't fit the
- 7:18virtue. So we made a quick rash decision
- 7:22to purchase the other site that I was heavily deciding on, which
- 7:27was the now the name is going to escape me.
- 7:31The driver, the driver, the excel, Excel.
- 7:34I don't know how you say it. Excel, Excel excel driver.
- 7:39I love it. I love it so far.
- 7:41The windage thing, so easy to adjust the the dial is as smooth
- 7:47as butter. One of the smoothest I have ever
- 7:49felt. It is not.
- 7:50The. Smoothest.
- 7:51I will say that it's very smooth.
- 7:53Yeah, You know, I've always complained about the .19 or
- 7:57.019, however you want to say it, 19,000 pins.
- 8:03But honestly, I think it's like going back to the basics.
- 8:07Like it's nice, it's bright, they're big, so it doesn't feel
- 8:15like you see less, you know, movement, like just going back
- 8:20to the basics. So the site is fantastic.
- 8:22You can get them in the smaller pins, but the one I purchased,
- 8:25you know, because I needed one that day, has the, the bigger
- 8:30pins and I'm fine with it. Like I I don't honestly feel
- 8:34this urge to go change the head out, which is interesting for me
- 8:40because I often feel the urge to change parts on my bow, as you
- 8:44know. Are you sleeping over?
- 8:46There. No, I'm listening.
- 8:47I'm very engaged. To your.
- 8:49Talk. But anyways, what else I set up
- 8:53with the SOS thing on. That's been nice.
- 8:55I use it for the up and down purpose.
- 8:57I might flip it eventually just to try it out for left and
- 9:00right. Everything else is the same.
- 9:05Got to still go get my gas strings on as well as to you for
- 9:09your target rig, right? Yeah.
- 9:12I've actually got to shoot the target rig a little bit lately.
- 9:14Yeah, in. The house quite a bit.
- 9:17Yeah. I mean we're actually, you know,
- 9:18we've been home for a couple about a week now and got about
- 9:23two more weeks at home, which is a nice change of pace.
- 9:27I was really thinking about it and I don't think I've been home
- 9:29for more than two weeks and like 2 years for for me personally.
- 9:34I think you have like once when I was in Africa maybe you know,
- 9:38but it's been a long run of being gone a lot.
- 9:41So it's been a blessing to be home for a little while getting
- 9:44caught up on edits that need to be done.
- 9:47We have top secret project that we're working on right now
- 9:50that's been really cool. And then yeah, been shooting the
- 9:55target rig, finally did a local shoot.
- 9:58I mean, dude, I feel like I haven't done a local shoot all I
- 10:02I could be wrong, but I don't think we've done one all year
- 10:05other than BD Challenge. I want to say this might be the
- 10:10only one. What comes before?
- 10:13Do we do bare ass? We did.
- 10:15I, no, you weren't here. I didn't.
- 10:17I did it. I did it with Ted.
- 10:20Yes. You weren't here, you were in
- 10:21Africa. So you might have done one
- 10:25shoot, but I think this might have been my first one of the
- 10:27year. I thought we did.
- 10:29Maybe we did a Balboa in like February or something.
- 10:32Yeah, there's always their big one.
- 10:34That they do. Oh, the pig.
- 10:35The flying pig. Oh, we did, Flying Pig.
- 10:36We did Flying pig. We did flying Pig, Yeah.
- 10:39OK. So this is my second one then
- 10:41and BD challenge, but the shoot was great.
- 10:45So first of all, like you said, it was unmarked.
- 10:47Most targets were from it was recurved base, right or trad
- 10:52based. So I would say your average shot
- 10:54length landed between 20 and 30. So you're doing a lot of judging
- 10:5820 to 30, which obviously on the speeds of my bow, like 290 is
- 11:02obviously much easier or you have a lot more room for air
- 11:05than you shooting whatever you shoot, 250 or whatever.
- 11:11But it was one of those days where I, I really thought when
- 11:15we filmed in Montana and I, I lost to Dylan, I really felt
- 11:22like I couldn't shoot. Like I was like, uh oh, I hope I
- 11:24didn't develop some sort of problem like I can't shoot.
- 11:28But then what I realized was it really was just sleep fatigue
- 11:32getting to me, because I'm telling you since then that.
- 11:34Was the start of your downhill decline.
- 11:36When we went to Vandenberg I was lights out, I was shooting 10's
- 11:41and I shot 18 and 20 targets. Then when we went to Balboa this
- 11:46weekend, 64 shots. I shot 3 eights.
- 11:50Everything else tends to 12. So no fives.
- 11:53Yeah. So out of the last 84 shots that
- 11:58I've shot at 3D targets, I have shot 4 eights.
- 12:03Everything else tends to 12. So I actually think that I've
- 12:06been shooting maybe my best since Montana, you know, like I
- 12:11feel really, really good. But another thing that I want to
- 12:14throw out and the importance of why I think it's so good to do
- 12:18shoots like Boat Disciples Challenge, Total Archery
- 12:20Challenge, stuff like that is when that becomes your norm,
- 12:25sort of like you're only shooting this hard long stuff
- 12:29and then you go to a more local style, like actual competitive
- 12:34tournament. Feels like a cakewalk, feels so
- 12:37easy because it's like getting the doughnut off your bat and
- 12:40and then stepping in the box. So that was just something that
- 12:43I've been kind of stewing on is that I think doing those hard
- 12:49shoots regularly really helps our performance on more standard
- 12:55setups. For sure, you know, Yeah.
- 13:00And just so you know, the, the confidence in your, your stuff
- 13:04feeling like you have the right setup shooting it consistently,
- 13:09you know, shooting often all of those things I think play in.
- 13:13And then when you have the chance, as much as possible to
- 13:16do harder, more technical, more physically demanding courses,
- 13:23then do them because it makes 1 local shoots feel like a
- 13:28cakewalk too. When you go out there, at least
- 13:31western hunting, not like tree stand hunting, but western
- 13:34hunting, you're just more prepared.
- 13:39You know, it is, it's pretty rough to get out there and just
- 13:43feel taxed immediately because you're, you're not ready for the
- 13:47hills, you're not ready for the hikes, you're not ready to carry
- 13:50the bow around, you're not ready for the weight of the bow.
- 13:54You know, and I think like prime example, just not not being well
- 14:02known to the my new equipment. It was new and like, we just had
- 14:07like an absolute brain fart on being able to like my brain told
- 14:10my muscles I could not draw this though.
- 14:14And if you listen to the Last Hunt podcast with Vince, it was
- 14:21like, I wasted so many opportunities and had I maybe
- 14:26just like, great. We didn't have that opportunity
- 14:29to set it up any earlier than we did.
- 14:32But if you do have it, you know, set your stuff up and, and you
- 14:37know, shoot in the house, shoot in the garage, shoot in the
- 14:39backyard, like blank bail in your closet if you need to, you
- 14:43know. Oh yeah, shooting inside is is
- 14:46is great. Just just so you're getting the
- 14:49reps through the bow and you feel comfortable, but all of
- 14:52that stuff plays into to shooting archery.
- 14:55Yeah, yeah, I love shooting inside.
- 14:59You know what, those mini Vegas faces, there's like the X is
- 15:04literally as big as the arrow. So like, I mean, you're aiming
- 15:07at a tiny spot, you know? I don't care if it's 6 1/2
- 15:11yards. It's like it's still really
- 15:13valuable. More shooting is always going to
- 15:17be good, you know? And there's no way to get
- 15:19comfortable with your draw, with your anchor, with your setup
- 15:22than just shooting a lot. Doesn't matter how far.
- 15:25Now I do think if you have the opportunity to shoot hard stuff
- 15:28down the line, I think it makes that easier stuff even easier.
- 15:35Grab. Your ear, but drink.
- 15:37Over. There one other thing I want to
- 15:39say about the virtue is I of course did shoot it as well for
- 15:45a while. I really it was always crazy how
- 15:48light it was. Like it was crazy how light it
- 15:52was. But yours in particular, when I
- 15:56got mine, you you could only get black because I had like the
- 16:00first one of the first ones, yours very aesthetic.
- 16:06So let's talk about it. You have a tack green.
- 16:09They call it tack green riser. That's seracote.
- 16:13All the virtues are seracote, which is kind of like a almost
- 16:16like a little more of like a bed liner finish, but not quite that
- 16:19rough. And then it has the bottom land
- 16:23limbs and the matching bottom land centre mass or airlock
- 16:30quiver. And I think it's a nice look.
- 16:34Let me tell you, I think it's a nice.
- 16:35It's a. It is one of my better choices
- 16:43in in bow coloration setups. You know, I've done some wild
- 16:47stuff. I've done some rainbow stuff.
- 16:50I've done, I've done, gone out and got bows coated to find what
- 16:55I want. This, this is it's clean.
- 17:00It's going to blend in. You know, I'm not going to feel
- 17:03like I'm walking out there with, you know, a Unicorn in the field
- 17:09and then all of my extra accessories, you know, pretty
- 17:12much match. It's so close to get perfect.
- 17:15You know, that's almost near impossible when every different
- 17:18company, you know, it's making the same tap green, but everyone
- 17:22has a little bit of a different finish, but it blends in so
- 17:25well. Like my my my aim for a pass
- 17:30through stabilizer is the same green the.
- 17:33SOS. My SOS is the same.
- 17:36Green. Yeah, the only thing that's
- 17:39black on the bow really is the the sight.
- 17:45Albus. Might have to shut the front
- 17:47door. Oh, there goes some arrows.
- 17:56Turn my camera on. OK, we're back for a brief
- 17:58intermission. Yeah.
- 17:59Were you yapping to the people still?
- 18:01Yeah, the arrows fell over and I turned my camera on on my.
- 18:05That's good. But.
- 18:07So I don't need to edit. No, no, you can.
- 18:09Take that a little bonus. OK, so.
- 18:13Yeah, it is. Aesthetic, It is.
- 18:16Come on. Come on.
- 18:19Come on. Yes, I know.
- 18:20Hi. Yes.
- 18:22I love you. Hello.
- 18:24He's a very needy boy. Are you just ready to go to the?
- 18:29Ring Your bow and my bow are a tale of two different things.
- 18:31First of all, you do drop your bow constantly.
- 18:34It's something we need to work on.
- 18:35You tip over bows more than probably anybody.
- 18:37Yeah, you tip mine hard the other day, I think.
- 18:40It was standing right in the middle of where we were
- 18:43shooting. That's the bow's fault.
- 18:46Shout out to the Mule stabilizer.
- 18:48I don't think the Mule gets enough credit for how convenient
- 18:50that sucker is for for for not only setting it down at the 3D
- 18:55shoot which literally you use every target.
- 18:59It's such a usable feature. Yes, and then the carrying for
- 19:03hunts is a game. Changer it is.
- 19:05I mean, it has saved my arm so much.
- 19:08Like I remember how painful, like my elbow used to hurt like
- 19:11tennis elbow from carrying the bow around and and then having
- 19:17to throw it. Like I could throw it on the
- 19:19back. But then like I always felt like
- 19:21I was hunching over because I didn't want to like, I don't
- 19:25know, like squish the bow back there between my pack and my
- 19:28neck and my head. And it's just I found myself
- 19:32almost never throwing it over my shoulders anymore.
- 19:35I just love it. I think like if you wanted to
- 19:37nitpick, you could say it's not maybe the most aesthetic or
- 19:40like, you know, maybe it doesn't have the best like vibration
- 19:45dampening or something, some of it.
- 19:47But I don't have a problem with vibration.
- 19:49Like I think it's fine and to I mean, I just I really, really
- 19:55like it. I think it's so nice.
- 20:00And we do, we do sell a version with the boat disciples logo as
- 20:03well on the website. We sell the 10 inch ones, which
- 20:06is what we all use 10 inch because they they carry the
- 20:09best. So they make a 12.
- 20:11Which might hold a little better, but it carries a little
- 20:13more awkward because it's up here rather than like mid
- 20:15forearm. So the 10.
- 20:17Where my 10 falls on me, but it's not like it doesn't like
- 20:21slip off my elbow, like it's not on top of my elbow or anything,
- 20:25right? The 8 was, it was not.
- 20:28That was another change I made from the core back to the
- 20:31virtue. I went back from the 8 to the
- 20:3210, which has offered me a couple more inches of
- 20:35stabilization out front. Yeah.
- 20:37And a couple of inches and it, I think it helped.
- 20:40Oh, it helps. So yeah, both the eight and the
- 20:43ten options for, you know, whether it's children, young
- 20:47adults or short people, just depending on what you're trying
- 20:51to get out of it. But yeah, yeah.
- 20:53And I think we, I believe we have a restock coming.
- 20:55So we'll have black and maybe one or two green.
- 21:00So if you want a green, definitely get them as soon as
- 21:02they hit the inventory. There are some in stock right
- 21:05now, but I think maybe only but if I remember.
- 21:08But anyway, I think it's cool our logos on it as well.
- 21:12So anyways, I it wasn't, that was not intended to be an ad.
- 21:16I just really do love the Mule and I wanted to give it a little
- 21:19extra shine because I think it's a little overlooked.
- 21:22We've used it for a long time, so we don't really talk about it
- 21:24a ton, but I think we should. And in fact, I'm going to do a
- 21:27video about it soon, talking about the positives of it and
- 21:32what what I like and and. Well, it's nice when you find a
- 21:35product that like. You really like and use.
- 21:38It's yeah, you liked it. Like it's just, it's all it kind
- 21:41of becomes on the back burner because it's just something like
- 21:44you never contemplate changing. Like I don't ever see another
- 21:48stabilizer out there. Like when we're at tax or at the
- 21:51shop or any shop or, you know, out shooting with people.
- 21:55And I'm not like, oh, that's. Different.
- 21:58Kind of maybe like to try that. Like literally never crosses my
- 22:02mind. I think that's good when you
- 22:03find a product that's so good that it it goes to the back
- 22:07burner of your mind, you know? Well, it's innovative that you
- 22:11know, like it's innovative and I think.
- 22:13They're said innovative. Innovative.
- 22:15Innovative, innovative. Innovative, but yeah, shout out
- 22:19to the Mule. I really, really like it.
- 22:22I also, so I'm going to do I have a few videos kind of coming
- 22:25in the pipe and I'll I'll spoil a few of them right here.
- 22:27So I'm going to do 1 about the mule because I think it's a
- 22:29really good video and I think it deserves a shine #2.
- 22:33I'm going to do a proven 34 long term review because dude, you
- 22:38look at my you look at my proven that sucker looks like it's 10
- 22:42years old. I've used it so much and abused
- 22:44that sucker so much. I guarantee no one has a proven
- 22:48in the world that looks as beat as mine like I've used put that
- 22:52thing to the ringer, you know, So I think I'm very well
- 22:56positioned to give it a thorough long term review and thoughts.
- 23:01And then lastly, I've got quite a few questions about the HLRS
- 23:05like durability, things like that.
- 23:07I. Just had another a lady asked me
- 23:09about them. And I've shot them.
- 23:10On Facebook. And I've shot a boatload of HLRS
- 23:13now. I had them really early, Lord
- 23:16willing, and I've shot a lot of them so, and I'm big on
- 23:20durability because I don't know, spoiler alert, I'm a cheap
- 23:24bastard. So durability to me is majorly
- 23:28important. So whether or not I'm sponsored
- 23:31by Victory or not, I'm not going to shoot them if they're
- 23:34brittle, like I'm just not going to.
- 23:36So I'm still shooting them. So that's a little bit of a
- 23:38spoiler, but I want to do a video on that as well.
- 23:41Now quick, let's stay on the HLR real quick for a second because
- 23:46she got me thinking and let me just read what she said.
- 23:49OK, while she's doing that, her reading investigation, we could
- 23:54also send you guys some money on beaumarbowhunting.com.
- 23:57Team BD saves you on beast broadheads, nose buttons, peep
- 24:01tuners, you name it, all that stuff.
- 24:03Yeah, so Audra Atkins said. I saw where you're shooting the
- 24:06new Virtue now, but what what's your specs and what kind of
- 24:10speeds are you getting out of it?
- 24:11Really curious about the HLR arrows now.
- 24:14I just tried out some of that TKO's but saw where the HLR's
- 24:18are even lighter than those. So we know another spoiler to
- 24:23what you're saying videos. We're going to do a penetration
- 24:26test with Broadhead. Send me just essentially A
- 24:29Broadhead review. We'll do some other, you know,
- 24:32tunability tests as well, but talking penetration and
- 24:37lightness vaps that I shoot verse HLRS because, you know, my
- 24:45biggest thing right now is like, I'm pretty well not stuck at the
- 24:50the weight that I'm at, but it's easily drawable.
- 24:55But we want to work on being able to, if you're sitting a
- 24:58blind, being able to just straight back.
- 25:00So the goal is not to change the weight for quite some time.
- 25:04So the weight's got to stay the same.
- 25:06My draw length cannot change. It is what it is.
- 25:11It's 25. We squeezed every last little
- 25:13bit out of it. It's 25 inches.
- 25:15So the next comes anything I can do to create better penetration.
- 25:21So that's where this this broadhead test is coming in,
- 25:24ensuring that I'm using the best possible broadhead for me and my
- 25:28weight and drawing in these upcoming years hunts.
- 25:34The next thing you can look at is the arrow.
- 25:37So the VAP is a skinny arrow. .166. .166 and HLR is.
- 25:45Two O 4. A2O four It's an in between of a
- 25:48standard and a skinny. Standard's 246 I believe.
- 25:53Correct. I get toasted in the comments,
- 25:55but I think that's right. So it is not as skinny, but it
- 26:01is lighter than the VAT. Or at least she said that.
- 26:06TKO yeah, I don't know about. The VAT TKO's, well it doesn't
- 26:10matter. I mean you're, I would guess
- 26:12you're first going to get better penetration with the with the
- 26:17Vaps. Again, anything you can create
- 26:19less drag on, IE the skinnier the less with flying through the
- 26:25air. Well, if you think about it,
- 26:26your broadhead kind of opens up a channel, and the skinnier the
- 26:30arrow, the more it just slips through without like having
- 26:32resistance. Yeah, on.
- 26:34It's kind of like a hot dog down a hallway type of scenario.
- 26:37Yeah. I just wanted to cover that in a
- 26:40very layman's terms if you're trying to get more penetration.
- 26:46I have a hot. Lighter isn't always better.
- 26:50Well, generally they say heavier is better for penetration.
- 26:55That's why people like heavy arrows.
- 26:58Anyways, yeah, I have a hot take.
- 27:01I have a hot take. Yeah, I'm ready.
- 27:04I think when you do this broadhead test, you're testing
- 27:07what, 5 heads? 4 heads I.
- 27:09Think 4 right now, unless we've come up with another one that's
- 27:13lying around the house somewhere.
- 27:15Here's my prediction. Calm down, you don't need your
- 27:18phone. Everything.
- 27:19It's not my phone that I. Need Are you looking for your
- 27:21roads? My Velos.
- 27:24OK. Are you calm now?
- 27:27Yeah, OK. My hot take is that I don't
- 27:32think you're going to be see a ton of difference in penetration
- 27:35on any. Of I hope not.
- 27:37I think that's a good thing for these these broadhead companies.
- 27:41Think you might sound a? Little pretty comparable.
- 27:43Like I think those, I think those tulus probably will go
- 27:46pretty deep, but I mean, I don't think you're going to see like
- 27:49that much of a difference. I think you'll see like that
- 27:52much of a difference. I'm so interested to find.
- 27:54Out. Yeah.
- 27:54And I think the beast will do really well.
- 27:56I mean, beasts are super sharp. They got a really pointy tip so
- 28:00I'm interested. They open on penetration.
- 28:03What beast? Yeah.
- 28:04Yeah, they're spring do all. Mechanicals open on penetration.
- 28:09Yeah. So interesting to me because
- 28:13like, you would think that would mean more penetration, right?
- 28:18In theory, because there's less resistance in the air than a
- 28:25fixed blade that slows your arrow down over time.
- 28:29Well, I think the physics of it is when the Broadhead opens,
- 28:32like especially there's some that deploy like this backwards,
- 28:35but then there's some beast or rage actually a rage I think
- 28:39deploys out the back, but like beast deploys because it's
- 28:42spring loaded like this. So I think that theory and
- 28:46beasts do penetrate really well because of technology.
- 28:48I've had zero issues. But I think when you hit
- 28:51something and then the blades open like against the way the
- 28:55arrows moving, they're opening forward.
- 28:57So now you have to push, push harder to enter, if that makes
- 29:03sense. Whereas if the blade is fixed,
- 29:06especially like the Magnus Stinger, that one will probably
- 29:08do good as well because it's shaped like a spear.
- 29:10It's long and skinny. So that way the tip is super
- 29:13sharp. It has nothing making it harder
- 29:18to penetrate. So once it cuts, it just keeps
- 29:20going, slices in. Yeah.
- 29:21This, This is why I'm just very interested, even if it's small
- 29:24differences, I'm just very interested to to finally have,
- 29:28you know, bought the Ballistics things to really.
- 29:32Oh, actually my my buddy Travis, who I've been talking to back
- 29:37and forth about another project. He just did a video on his
- 29:41channel. I have yet to watch it.
- 29:43But I oh, he did it with like 22 different.
- 29:45Yeah, and all on on actual animals.
- 29:48Yeah. So I do want to watch that and
- 29:50especially I know how good his videos are.
- 29:52It's probably phenomenal. So if you guys haven't checked
- 29:54it out, his channel is Outdoors with Travis.
- 29:56Go watch it. Now.
- 29:57The unique part about his is I think it was all mechanicals.
- 30:02I think it was. So I don't think he did any
- 30:03fixed blades. And I'm telling you that his
- 30:06film works really good. Is is detailed.
- 30:09Well, I think it'll be really good.
- 30:10I haven't seen it, but I'm sure it's really good.
- 30:12So we should watch that maybe before.
- 30:15Yeah, he's ridiculous. He's ridiculous.
- 30:17But yeah, so that that video is fun.
- 30:20And then we got some secret sauce, some secret videos
- 30:23coming. I'm really excited about this
- 30:26one that we're going to be filming.
- 30:28It's it's pretty, it's pretty off on guard.
- 30:31It's not going to be your standard YouTube series, but
- 30:35it's going to be, I think one of those series that'll pop up and
- 30:39people go, damn, why didn't I do that?
- 30:41You know, but I'm not, I didn't, I didn't think of it on my own.
- 30:47I got the inspiration from someone else in the different
- 30:49sport. And I'll give them credit once
- 30:52it's out and finished. But I don't want to spoil it by
- 30:55saying who it is, because then you can figure out what it is.
- 30:57But it's really cool. How do you think I'll do?
- 31:04It's tough to say. It's far.
- 31:06It's tough to say. It's very, you know, Yeah, We'll
- 31:11just have to see. Yeah, to.
- 31:13See. Yeah, but you know, it's a fun,
- 31:17fun, fun challenge for you. I love the I love the the roll
- 31:22out of the videos too. That's my favorite part.
- 31:24I just love how it how it works. So honestly, Part 1 will
- 31:31probably drop either today on Tuesday or tomorrow when this
- 31:36podcast comes out. So be sure you're, you know,
- 31:39following Bo disciples on Instagram, the YouTube shorts,
- 31:44the Tik toks, the Youtubes. Just follow all the stuff so you
- 31:48don't miss it. Yeah.
- 31:49I might put Part 1 up. For the challenge of it, I
- 31:52really hope that you know and the concepts that it's
- 31:57challenging. Oh, it's going to be hard.
- 32:00Yeah, but knowing you'd be like just.
- 32:04A few tries. Oh, it's going to take more than
- 32:05a few tries because yeah, we'll talk about it more in the
- 32:08future. But the way we have it
- 32:10structured, it's going to take a while.
- 32:12Yeah. It's going to be hard, yeah, but
- 32:13I'm excited for that. And then, yeah, we got a couple
- 32:17hunts coming up, which we can dive into later.
- 32:20Maybe not in this pod, but I do want to talk about this weekend.
- 32:26So this weekend there's a shoot at Alpine, which we're going to
- 32:31go to with a fun bunch if. I wake up.
- 32:35You're coming. You're waking up first. 1.
- 32:37Yeah, you're waking up. I have.
- 32:39I have the next like month after that to wake up at first before
- 32:43first, long before. 1st So am I going with just the boys and
- 32:46then going to Yard House with them after maybe?
- 32:49OK, I did do the half yard chump.
- 32:52You did, yeah. Gosh, I wanted that one.
- 32:57I really wanted that one. That was like, that was like my
- 32:59white whale, but I got it. You did.
- 33:06Good job, good job. Any anything else you want to
- 33:07discuss on this pod? I mean, I think.
- 33:09How long? Has it been?
- 33:10I don't know, it feels like pretty long.
- 33:11Why don't you? Look at the time down there.
- 33:14What's it say? Oh, it's only been 33 minutes.
- 33:17Oh, that's short. Felt like it was a night.
- 33:20That's what I'm. Saying, well, I would like to
- 33:23say if you have any comments on like aesthetics you've seen in
- 33:27it could be other podcasts, it could just be like YouTube
- 33:32studio layouts or like it doesn't have to be in the
- 33:34outdoor realm. You know, drop a link in your
- 33:38comment or or just say the channel or like a picture or I
- 33:43don't know if you can do that on YouTube, but you know, whatever
- 33:46anything or just description I would really like to do.
- 33:49We've been talking about it for forever months now and have not
- 33:53been home to get around to it to updating this, but we've been
- 33:57doing it from the couch for quite some time now.
- 34:01And I'm not even sold on the furniture that's in the room
- 34:04having to stay like, you know, we have guests over so little
- 34:07that this couch gets turned into a bed that like if we went down
- 34:10to 4, you know, sofa chairs instead.
- 34:13So you can constantly configure the room in different ways.
- 34:17I'm down for that. Wood on the walls, metal on the
- 34:21walls, sound panelling on the walls, lighting, all of that fun
- 34:28aesthetics. I I want to update this pod room
- 34:30so if you have any inspiration I'm looking for it.
- 34:34I'm very tired of the white walls.
- 34:36Also I just realized the amount of champagne all over the walls
- 34:40from James's 100K launch photos and it's disgusting me.
- 34:46Yeah, it, it, it, it, it's, it's, it's time for a tune up, a
- 34:51good look. I mean, we've ran this for quite
- 34:54a while. So, I mean, yeah, I think it's a
- 34:56good idea to freshen it up, but, you know, there's changes that
- 35:02want to make. But use usability and
- 35:06versatility are the two most important things to a smaller
- 35:10space you know being able to do whether it's you know, short
- 35:14reviews potting in office still. Ship shipping station.
- 35:20Yeah, just all the things have to be versatile in here.
- 35:24And that's the tough part to creating a layout.
- 35:26If anything becomes a more permanent structure in the room,
- 35:31you know, you kind of lose that. But creating, you know,
- 35:36essentially 3 different wall scapes that allow you to film
- 35:39from different sides I think is cool is a factor that's not
- 35:44played in here. You know, we have the one wall
- 35:46that we never filmed in front of anymore and the other two are
- 35:49just white with decor on them. And it's like, you know, this
- 35:52one looked completely different from that one, completely
- 35:54different from that one, but all still gelled in a aesthetic way,
- 35:58whether it's color scheme or what not, or style.
- 36:03Like you could film from any which direction and create, you
- 36:07know, a different background, a different setting, a different
- 36:11reason for filming on that wall, things like that.
- 36:14And I think that stuff people should always play with in their
- 36:17mind, as well as having versatile lighting that you're
- 36:19able to move it around. And currently we don't
- 36:22necessarily have that. Yeah, the lighting's fixed.
- 36:24I think I could like probably get rid of these big lights and
- 36:28maybe get some smaller ones that are like, like you said, more
- 36:32mobile. So yeah, I think it'll get a
- 36:34facelift soon. You know, after these hunts
- 36:37coming up, we really should have a a decent chunk of time at home
- 36:41again. So maybe in that phase span we
- 36:44can kind of, you know, get, get those projects done.
- 36:50I think probably not honestly until like, oh gosh, the our
- 36:56window is going to end. Soon.
- 36:58Probably not even quite for me because I have that drawn Turkey
- 37:02hunt in Arizona that I would like to go on.
- 37:06You know, I drew it. I don't want to waste it.
- 37:09Just a few days anyways, and then a couple weeks off.
- 37:13And then I was talking to Brittany last night, and I
- 37:18didn't know how long you can hunt.
- 37:23I knew how long you could. But like, I mean that in a sense
- 37:26of like, did you ever get, like, bored?
- 37:29I'm going to offend all the birds out there, but it's five
- 37:34days. I didn't know that.
- 37:37I thought it was going to be like 2. 5 days.
- 37:39Five days of shooting Phantoms. I don't know.
- 37:44I don't know, I guess, you know, I do love dogs.
- 37:47So like getting to watch the dog work will be fun, but like, am I
- 37:50going to get bored of watching the dog work?
- 37:52I don't know. But apparently the dog literally
- 37:55is so good. She if you even slightly like
- 37:58try to fool her and you're like, I can't remember, say her name's
- 38:02Audrey. I can't remember the dog's name.
- 38:04You say Chadri, she won't move. You say Padri, she won't move.
- 38:10I'll dry, she won't move. And then as soon as you go,
- 38:14Audrey, gone for the bird, starts it right back to you and
- 38:18sits down. I'm like, yeah, Sharp Abby, can
- 38:21you do? That so you'll be gone about,
- 38:23you know, almost a full week. Well, so these people and
- 38:28they're driving, I'll tell you what.
- 38:29Look at me. I mean, that's good news for me.
- 38:31I get to just be at home. Just ah.
- 38:35I don't want to hear you don't get any breaks or.
- 38:36Who knows, that's my first. That'll be the first time in a
- 38:40long, long time that like you've gone on a trip and I have
- 38:44stayed. Well, and so and I'm excited is
- 38:47that you know, we don't. So you're going pheasant, honey,
- 38:51Let's let's kind of bring in the audience.
- 38:53So I'm going pheasant hunt with. Britney Jean Outdoors and her
- 38:57new man's Brian Goff Outdoors outfitter.
- 39:00Who does? He's an outfitter.
- 39:02He does. Oh gosh.
- 39:03Turkey's bear, dear. Turkey is his like passion,
- 39:09geese in the the winter, yada yada.
- 39:12But so this is a fun trip for us that we're going pheasant
- 39:18hunting in South Dakota. Are you going to go to Mount
- 39:21Rushmore? Is that in South Dakota?
- 39:23Yes. Maybe I'll make us.
- 39:25Stop. It might be North Dakota, but
- 39:27it's one of the two. I don't know.
- 39:28I think it's South Dakota. I'm pretty sure, but they are.
- 39:31So she's flying in. Yeah, keep going.
- 39:35To where he is from in Pennsylvania.
- 39:39No, he in new. Jersey, New Jersey and then.
- 39:42South Dakota. Hey, you know who's from Dakota?
- 39:45I could hook you up with some pals out there that probably got
- 39:48a ship load of pheasants. Anyway, continue.
- 39:51They are driving. She wanted her.
- 39:55To. Drive with them from New Jersey
- 39:59to South Dakota. Do you know how long the drive
- 40:01is? It's got to be 18 hours. 23
- 40:06hours. What is what is with some people
- 40:09in driving? I'll rent a car at that point in
- 40:13time, like once I get to my location via plane.
- 40:17Now the problem is, is that there are next to no airports
- 40:23within hours and hours of where we're going.
- 40:27So I am flying. I have to purchase the ticket
- 40:29today before it's gone because it's the one decent one I saw.
- 40:32It's nonstop 155 bucks on Southwest.
- 40:36That's a great place. No, I'm not doing round trip
- 40:38because I'll get to that. Here.
- 40:39Oh, you're not driving back with them?
- 40:42Well, yes, but it does. Why would you do that?
- 40:48Well, because I have to get to that part of the story.
- 40:53So I'm flying into Chicago O'Hare.
- 40:57It's still a 12 hour drive from there.
- 41:00If anybody knows the closer airport in South Dakota, name
- 41:02it. All the other airports are
- 41:05regional and I can't find a flight into them.
- 41:07Like literally on the map there are not even flights in on the
- 41:10day that I need to land. So the.
- 41:14Option I would scrap this. 12 hours I still have to sit in the
- 41:18car. That's like us going from here
- 41:21to Salt Lake. Why don't you just go to South
- 41:25Africa instead? Like it's going.
- 41:26To take you just as that'll happen too.
- 41:28So, oh, geez. But anyways, so 12 hour drive
- 41:32from Chicago to where we're going in South Dakota.
- 41:36Five days. Five days of pheasant hunting.
- 41:40You're sure you want to go to? This I do because after that I'm
- 41:45going to drive 23 hours in the car from them.
- 41:48I might actually drive 12 and hop on a plane and land in New
- 41:52Jersey and have them pick me up there.
- 41:54Anyways, he said. I could hunt his deer
- 41:57properties. OK.
- 42:01So I'm getting added to the group chat for the trail Cam
- 42:04pics so I can, you know, get all worked up about the deer that I
- 42:07can potentially shoot. So I'm going to hunt deer for
- 42:11two days after the 23 hour day drive from South Dakota back to
- 42:16New Jersey to hunt deer for whitetail for two days.
- 42:21Bro this trip's going to cost you like 2 rats.
- 42:24No, The thing is, is we paid for so many Britney's trips that
- 42:27she's paying for it your. Tags and licenses.
- 42:30No, no, she's paying for the pheasant hunt.
- 42:31The only thing and all of that. The only thing I have to pay for
- 42:35is like my tipping the person and then my tags for for New
- 42:39Jersey or whatever state that the land.
- 42:41Your travel logistics are awful on this trip.
- 42:45If I were to rate your guys's travel logistics, you and them
- 42:49well, this way I. Have the flights.
- 42:52I do some more research, but I cannot find an airport that has
- 42:55a flight in on the. Hold up, hold up.
- 42:57I'm also talking Brian and Brittany Jean outdoors.
- 43:00All of y'all are awful at traveling like you're planning
- 43:04is. I plan all of your traveling so
- 43:06I don't want. You do not I I buy the flights
- 43:10right on. You don't.
- 43:11Buy the flights after I find them.
- 43:13That is fake for. Any trip you're going that has
- 43:15helped you're like, can you find my flight for?
- 43:17Me, that has maybe happened. That has maybe happened one
- 43:20time. No, yeah.
- 43:22But. You are being.
- 43:23If there if the flight were a different day, IE two days
- 43:28later, I see flights in. So just do that.
- 43:31We can't because that like it's booked for, for that, that span
- 43:35of time, Alvis. I bet if I look I could find the
- 43:40flight. Well, maybe you can do some
- 43:41searching. For me too.
- 43:42Sure, you know. Sure.
- 43:44But anyway, so that is October 20th.
- 43:48So basically I'll be gone from like the 20th to like probably
- 43:51November 1st. I can't wait for the end of
- 43:55October, baby. Oh yeah, maybe you can come back
- 43:57and have the pod room. Done.
- 43:58I wouldn't count on that. I ain't doing no projects.
- 44:01I'll be out with friends. But yeah, so.
- 44:05Dude that's nice. Take as much time as you want.
- 44:09Deer hunt the whole month if you want.
- 44:10OK. Yeah, the 19th we pick up of
- 44:16this month. August 19th, we pick up the
- 44:20Kawasaki. What's it called?
- 44:22Ridge Crew Cab. Ridge Crew.
- 44:24Cab shout out to. Corridor.
- 44:26Shout out to Kawasaki that are the sponsor of this segment.
- 44:29They make the Ridge it's so check it out.
- 44:32It's called the Ridge HVAC crew. So it is a Crew Cab.
- 44:36So you, it's got literally opening doors front and back.
- 44:41You can comfortably see four. It's enclosed, it's got AC,
- 44:45everyone's got seatbelts. It's got a whole sound system.
- 44:49Yeah, it's, it's so nice. So I'm picking that thing up
- 44:52August 19th and then we leave probably on the 20th or 21st,
- 44:57head out to go hunt. Maybe the 20?
- 44:59First, maybe the 22nd. Probably the 20th.
- 45:02That could be the 21st. Most likely the 20th we got
- 45:05about. And then we're going to drive to
- 45:06this hunting spot and then we're going to start scouting.
- 45:09And I, of course, as usual, am not hunting.
- 45:12I'm just filming, guys. Well, that's you already filled
- 45:15your tag and you haven't drawn any other tags, so you can't
- 45:19complain. So this unit usually fills up
- 45:22pretty fast. So we've estimated we'll have
- 45:24about 10 days to hunt correct, about 10 and we're on the time
- 45:29crunch because. We need to be back by September
- 45:322nd to go to the Harry Potter giveaway game at Petco.
- 45:35Park, but probably not going to happen, so if it does, awesome.
- 45:38If it doesn't, that's OK because I got a deer tag to fill so at
- 45:43maximum we got to be out of there by when.
- 45:48I don't know. You do know you told me a date
- 45:50yesterday that you're like, look, we have to.
- 45:53Oh. Oh, Oh yeah, by probably the
- 45:57probably the 10th. The 10th.
- 45:59Oh wait, that's the wrong month. But yeah, probably the 10th.
- 46:02Yes, the 10th, I believe is what you said because we have to
- 46:06drive from there to New Mexico. Yeah, Ted drew his lottery tag
- 46:13in New Mexico in a peremium unit.
- 46:17I'm very excited because like so far now I've gone on 2 outcomes,
- 46:22right? I did the one over the counter
- 46:24with you. Much more desolate as far as the
- 46:29animals go. A lot less hearing of elk.
- 46:35Then I went on my cow hunt in a very nice unit and that was mind
- 46:42blowing. 1 you hear more every morning which is cool. 2 How you
- 46:49know with skill how close you can get to hearing all the
- 46:53sounds that you don't hear from hearing them miles away.
- 46:55All you ever hear is the bugle, and it's like they make so many
- 46:58more sounds than that and they're guttural.
- 47:01And they're. Scary.
- 47:03So I'm excited to just be a guest on this hunt filming third
- 47:10party, you and and Teddy Boy, you kind of guiding and filming
- 47:17Ted being our our primary shooter, our only shooter and in
- 47:24this premium unit and that we have about 14 days on it starts
- 47:28on the 15th, I believe. So we're trying to give
- 47:31ourselves a day's drive, set up camp and then at least four days
- 47:36to scout and kind of get in where we want to start on the
- 47:40day his hunt opens, right? That's the plan.
- 47:44Yeah, I mean. And then 15th to about the 20.
- 47:46It's a 14 day season, it's two weeks, so it's a relatively
- 47:50short hunt but. It brings us basically to almost
- 47:53the end of. October.
- 47:54No, end of September. I'm sorry, that's what I mean.
- 47:57End of September. When Ted and I, we did a similar
- 47:59hunt back in 2020. The videos are on the YouTube
- 48:02channel if you'd like to watch them.
- 48:07I got my elk on the 10th day and he got his on the evening of the
- 48:1314th day, so the last day and then.
- 48:17Did you do a lot of like weird normal like sitting trees for
- 48:21that one or? No.
- 48:22I did a lot of hunting on the ground.
- 48:24Mostly. I did end up, I did end up
- 48:27shooting my bowl out of a tree, but I didn't set a tree very
- 48:30much. Wait, is that the video we just
- 48:31watched the other night? Were you surprised?
- 48:33That was a OTC. TC Yeah, have I have I seen this
- 48:37video? I don't think so, no.
- 48:40This is pre Brianna era. Actually.
- 48:43We we can watch this is a series of I did like 5 or 6 videos and
- 48:47it just shows a lot of elk and wildlife.
- 48:48There's tanks in that unit. But The thing is this, this
- 48:52unit, from what I've heard and I've talked to guys that really
- 48:55know elk hunting and like give me the real story.
- 48:59So the unit that we haunted in 2020 is also top notch, but that
- 49:03one's a little bit further South than this one.
- 49:05Sounds like the main difference is that the unit we went in 2020
- 49:09has like higher numbers of elk and very good genetics.
- 49:13But the unit that we're going this time has maybe a little bit
- 49:16less numbers, but like literally like top, top tier genetics.
- 49:20So like there's bulls that are 400 inches that exist in the
- 49:23unit. So like.
- 49:25I think if we, I think it would be best if we did.
- 49:28Bring. So there's.
- 49:29A chance to see. There's a chance to see some
- 49:31real giants. Yeah.
- 49:32And from hearing from people who have gotten this unit before or
- 49:36live in the area, sounds like our opportunity for during
- 49:43scouting days hitting a lot of like roads stop and glass.
- 49:46Stop and glass is going to be a little minimal, but I would say
- 49:52if like we're most likely going to have two Kawasaki's, we throw
- 49:58the the one you currently have the the regular crew 2 door into
- 50:02the back of the the trailer, tow the other one because it doesn't
- 50:09fit in the trailer anyways, and have two.
- 50:12So at least at minimum for those scouting days, if we break up
- 50:16and try to cover as much ground as possible and try to glass as
- 50:23much as humanly possible, I don't know how much of this is
- 50:26glassable or stalkable versus walkable versus hikable, no
- 50:32idea. But if we have two vehicles to
- 50:35separate and cover more ground. OK, I'm in.
- 50:42Yeah. So I'm, I'm, I'm very excited
- 50:44for that one. But nonetheless, kind of
- 50:46showcases like in about two weeks, we're basically gone for
- 50:53a month. We get like maybe a week or so
- 50:56back and then it's a short, nice short Turkey hunt basically back
- 51:01to the same area. We're going for deer and then
- 51:06then back for a couple weeks. And then it's pheasant and deer
- 51:13for me and break for you. Yes.
- 51:18Yeah. But what's cool about that is
- 51:20I'm, I'm one very thankful that they're offering me the
- 51:22opportunity to hunt some deer property there with Brittany.
- 51:26Brittany's trying to swing it with work.
- 51:28OK. So yeah, that is exciting.
- 51:30So you're going to go do deer hunting.
- 51:32That is very kind that they offered that to you.
- 51:34But that's. Something if I, if I bring an
- 51:37extra camera with me, like good potential to get a you know,
- 51:43it's not often that there's a video that you are not in that
- 51:46only I am in. But we don't really film gun
- 51:49hunting and obviously the pheasant hunt is is gun hunting.
- 51:52So like that I'll probably get some really cool pictures, but
- 51:56and freeze and be cold. But you know, that's, you know,
- 52:00not really a video, but cool to potentially do a a video deer
- 52:06hunting for a couple of days and it's different, you know, tree
- 52:11stand most likely or blind, I assume whitetail, you know, not
- 52:16not hiking some mountains and hills.
- 52:19So some extra little content. We were not planning for it.
- 52:22That could be fun. You don't see how you saw how
- 52:25good I was at self filming when we did my vapor trail rest?
- 52:31Your filming was great, you just came unprepared.
- 52:34I mean, you didn't have the camera charged and or the mics
- 52:37charged. Like it wasn't a poor filming,
- 52:40it was just lack of preparation. But that's.
- 52:43Good, that's good. The video was still fine.
- 52:46It'll come out next week or. Something well and I need the
- 52:48practice, especially in a, even if it doesn't amount to a video
- 52:51or anything and I don't get anything.
- 52:53Let me give you a pro tip because I know you really
- 52:55struggle with this on basically any.
- 52:57The first time I hear a twig break, I'm turning the camera.
- 53:00On No. My tip is to always have your
- 53:03devices charged. Oh yes.
- 53:05Because you don't do that with, you don't do that with your
- 53:07phone, with your laptop, with Cam, you don't charge anything.
- 53:09So for you, I think you're really going to struggle a lot
- 53:13with, I think you're going to struggle a lot with having
- 53:17stuffed to IC to charge it. Most likely, but well, remember
- 53:21to charge and then in the moment, I'm just, I'm going to
- 53:24turn that camera on early because I, I, I get too mostly
- 53:32just freaked out about making sure the cameras like facing the
- 53:35right direction on zoomed out enough.
- 53:38Like you know, when you're holding it, it's so easy as the
- 53:41second person to to zoom in properly and and stand behind
- 53:46the hunter and you know all, all of those things.
- 53:49You don't have a bow in your hands or if you do, it's like on
- 53:53your back or or whatever in the tree stand.
- 53:58Like sometimes it's just clunky to like swing that arm around
- 54:05and, and you know, like loosen it and move the angle, tighten
- 54:11it back up and then make sure you're zoomed out.
- 54:14Make sure your body when you stand up is not blocking the the
- 54:17camera shot. And there's just a lot, a lot to
- 54:20self filming, especially in a tree.
- 54:23I do not mind it when it's in a blind and I just set it on a
- 54:26tripod in the back and I, I zoom out to where you kind of have
- 54:29the whole window picture in a tree, much different story.
- 54:35Not as big of a fan, but it's good to get practice with it
- 54:38because on the few occasions that I do have to do it, I'm not
- 54:41very good at it right now. Well, you know what they say,
- 54:45practice makes perfect. That's what I always say so.
- 54:48What are you going to do while I'm gone?
- 54:51I don't know. Who knows what I'm going to do?
- 54:54I don't know. That's a fishing trip joke, man,
- 54:56Mexico was a lot of fun when I went to Mexico was a heck of a
- 55:00lot of fun. Yeah.
- 55:01But yeah, no, I don't know. I'll do something.
- 55:03But yeah, I'm looking forward to maybe next year.
- 55:07You'll take me to Africa. Maybe, maybe I'll bring some
- 55:13viewers as well. But yeah, that's it.
- 55:17That's it for this pod. It's been a pleasure.
- 55:19I'm looking forward to the future.
- 55:22Be sure to subscribe to the podcast.
- 55:24YouTube Five Stars, Apple, Spotify Team BD Code Saves

- 55:36Podium, archer.com, try search tripod.
- 55:40So yeah, save some money. I'm a cheap bastard, so I love
- 55:43saving money. Hunting seasons coming.
- 55:45We got a lot of cool stuff coming.
- 55:47Get stocked up and get ready and drop a comment down below.
- 55:51Maybe maybe some questions and we'll get to them in the next
- 55:55pod. It'll be like a little Q&A.
- 55:57So drop some questions. The next pod very well might be
- 56:03have a guest. Actually, you might have a guest
- 56:05on it. But the one after that will
- 56:07probably film from the. Field that'll be weeks from now,
- 56:10yeah, but we have a guest on the next one we're going to record
- 56:12actually today, another pod later today.
- 56:17Oh, that's different than the other one that's also happening.
- 56:20This, that's another guest we have, yeah.
- 56:22So the next couple, the next couple have.
- 56:24Guests, the schedule change, yes.
- 56:26OK, we're doing another pod today, another pod after that.
- 56:31And so yeah, anyway, we got a couple guests coming, one
- 56:33America. I'm excited for all of them.
- 56:35So stay tuned, appreciate the support.
- 56:37Also lastly, we all have done some wedding planning a little
- 56:42bit. It's very expensive and we are
- 56:45going to be doing a limited edition sticker as like a
- 56:48fundraiser because. Very neat.
- 56:50It's very cute. It's cute, sticker gold, show
- 56:53some rings. It's like our regular local.
- 56:55It's freaking badass. It's badass, and here's the
- 56:58reason why we did it #1 a lot of people have watched our entire
- 57:05relationship from the start. Basically, our second time ever
- 57:08hanging out was on the channel. Right.
- 57:11Yeah, I think it was going to Utah, no.
- 57:14No, no, no, no. It was at Morley.
- 57:16So anyways, we go yes, I'm positive.
- 57:19So we go from there. Like I met you and immediately
- 57:21went to Utah with you, which was crazy on my part.
- 57:24Well, you're you are nuts. So anyways, between the first
- 57:27time ever shooting at Morley all the way till now, the audience
- 57:31has been along for the ride. So I figured people might like a
- 57:34limited edition sticker. They're going to be 10 bucks.
- 57:36It's more of like a fundraiser to help pay for the wedding
- 57:39because I'm a cheap bastard, you know what I'm saying?
- 57:42And I think people might want to join in.
- 57:43It's kind of fun. So the idea is if you want to,
- 57:46if you want to just get a dope limited edition sticker and help
- 57:50us out, they're 10 bucks apiece. And if you like are like, I want
- 57:52to, I want to give them 100 bucks like you can just buy 10
- 57:55stickers. That's how it's going to work.
- 57:57So just I'm freaking jacked up. If none of them sell, that's
- 58:00perfectly fine. I did it as a fun thing and if
- 58:03they do, awesome. But they're on the site right
- 58:06now. So you can go ahead and get them
- 58:08if you're watching this and we'll see you guys in the next
- 58:14video. Appreciate the support.
