  Back with another episode on the pod, and I want to preface that

  today's going to be a little different than it usually is.

  I kind of sense the Holy Spirit placed something very specific

  on my heart to share, and so I'm just going to be switching up

  the format a little bit and I'm going to try not to cry while I

  do this. No promises, but this message is
• 0:26
  truly so special to me. So there's this laminated piece
• 0:30
  of paper that sits on my desk and I read it, try to read it
• 0:34
  every morning before I leave my room.
• 0:37
  And it really does bless me. And so I felt led to invite
• 0:42
  y'all into it today, and I'm praying that it blesses you too.
• 0:46
  And with a little context, every sentence that you're going to
• 0:52
  hear, it is rooted in a specific Bible verse.
• 0:56
  I'm not going to mention every single verse just for the sake
• 0:59
  of time, but I want you to know that this is not my opinion.

  It is truth, and it is straight from God's Word.
• 1:06
  So as I read this, I really want y'all to try to listen from the
• 1:10
  perspective of God speaking this directly over you because I
• 1:15
  believe that this is like a love letter to you personally.
• 1:19
  And if you're able, I want to invite you also to just close
• 1:23
  your eyes. Or if you can't close your eyes,
• 1:26
  simply slow down, try to quiet your mind and allow yourself to
• 1:31
  fully receive the truth and the depth of these words.

  So it begins with my name printed.
• 1:38
  But obviously fill in your name because this is personally for
• 1:42
  you. Friendsly.
• 1:45
  You may not know me, but I know everything about you.
• 1:49
  I know when you sit down and when you rise up.
• 1:52
  I'm familiar with all your ways. Even the very hairs on your head
• 1:57
  are numbered. For you are made in my image.

  In me. You live and move and have your
• 2:03
  being, for you are my offspring. I knew you even before you were
• 2:08
  conceived. I chose you when I planned
• 2:10
  creation. You were not a mistake, for all
• 2:14
  your days are written in my book.
• 2:17
  I determined the exact time of your birth and where you would
• 2:20
  live. You are fearfully and
• 2:23
  wonderfully made. I knit you together in your
• 2:26
  mother's womb and brought you forth on the day you were born.
• 2:31
  I've been misrepresented by those who don't know me.
• 2:34
  I'm not distant and angry, but in the complete expression of
• 2:39
  love. And it is my desire to lavish my
• 2:42
  love on you simply because you are my child and I'm your
• 2:47
  father. Ioffer you more than your
• 2:49
  earthly father ever could, for I am the perfect father.
• 2:54
  Every good gift that you receive comes from my hand, for I'm your
• 2:59
  provider and I meet all your needs.

  My plan for your future has always been filled with hope
• 3:05
  because I love you with an everlasting love.
• 3:09
  My thoughts toward you are countless as the sand on the
• 3:12
  seashore, and I rejoice over you with singing.
• 3:16
  I will never stop doing good to you, for you are my treasured
• 3:20
  possession. I desire to establish you with
• 3:24
  all my heart and all my soul, and I want to show you great and
• 3:28
  marvelous things. If you seek me with all your
• 3:31
  heart, you will find me. Delight in me, and I will give
• 3:35
  you the desires of your heart, for it is I who gave you those
• 3:39
  desires. I'm able to do more for you than
• 3:42
  you possibly could imagine, for I'm your greatest encourager.

  I'm also the Father who comforts you in all your troubles.

  When you are broken hearted, I'm close to you as a shepherd
• 3:56
  carries a lamb. I've carried you close to my
• 4:00
  heart. One day I will wipe away every
• 4:03
  tear from your eyes, and I'll take away all the pain you have
• 4:06
  suffered on this earth. I am your Father, and I love you
• 4:10
  even as I love my Son Jesus, For in Jesus my love for you is
• 4:15
  revealed. He is the exact representation
• 4:19
  of my being. He came to demonstrate that I am
• 4:22
  for you, not against you, and to tell you that I am not counting
• 4:26
  your sins. Jesus died so that you and I
• 4:30
  could be reconciled. His death was the ultimate
• 4:33
  expression of my love for you. I gave up everything I loved
• 4:39
  that I might gain your love If you receive the gift of my son
• 4:44
  Jesus, you receive me and nothing will ever separate you
• 4:48
  from my love again. Come home and I'll throw the
• 4:52
  biggest party heaven has ever seen.
• 4:56
  I have always been Father and will always be father.
• 5:00
  My question is, will you be my child?
• 5:04
  I am waiting for you. Love your dad.
• 5:07
  Almighty God who? Wow.
• 5:11
  Well, I am just praising Jesus that I got through that without
• 5:16
  tearing, but I just want to sit here for a moment because y'all,
• 5:21
  it is so important that we preach the gospel over ourselves
• 5:25
  daily because it is so easy to forget why God did what he did,
• 5:31
  to forget the weight of it and why he sent Jesus.
• 5:34
  It says in scripture so clearly first on 4/10 that this is love,
• 5:39
  not that we loved God, but that he loved us and he sent his Son
• 5:44
  as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
• 5:48
  Now that verse, it changes everything because our
• 5:51
  relationship with God, it doesn't start with us or our
• 5:54
  love for him. It started with His love for us.
• 5:58
  So we're called to meditate on the reality of God's
• 6:02
  overwhelming love. It's a love that existed before
• 6:06
  we ever even chose him. It's a love that pursued us
• 6:10
  before we ever pursued him or responded.
• 6:14
  Guys, God loves you for who you are.
• 6:17
  It's not for what you've done or accomplished.
• 6:21
  It's not from where you come from or what you have or don't
• 6:26
  have. Jesus died for you knowing every
• 6:30
  single mistake that you would ever make in your life.
• 6:34
  And the crazy thing that I just we need to reflect on is Jesus
• 6:40
  would do it again if that meant bringing you into perfect union
• 6:44
  with him and his father. He wants a relationship with us
• 6:47
  guys and he showed his deepest love for you at your very worst.
• 6:53
  So think how could his love ever change based on what you do now
• 6:58
  or what you don't do now? Y'all, God is your perfect
• 7:03
  father and a good father. He wants to bless his child with
• 7:08
  the best of the best. You will not find a deeper, more
• 7:12
  real, fulfilling love than his. And I can say this confidently
• 7:16
  because I have tried to find fulfillment in other things,
• 7:20
  things that are not God, worldly things and honestly nothing
• 7:26
  compares. It doesn't even come close.
• 7:29
  So I just want to ask you this, do you trust him?
• 7:32
  I know it's a very straightforward question, but do
• 7:35
  you trust Him and do you truly believe in His truth?
• 7:40
  Philippians 1-6. This is a verse I recently edged
• 7:44
  on my heart and memorized, but it says we can be confident of
• 7:48
  this that he who began a good work in you, He will carry on to
• 7:53
  completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
• 7:57
  So just sit with that if you need a pause and let some of
• 8:01
  those things sink in. Highly recommend you do so
• 8:04
  because I'm saying all this, but I've obviously had time to think
• 8:07
  about it. And so just a little moment and
• 8:11
  perspective shift. Today I was driving back from a
• 8:16
  trip and I saw this huge billboard and it said what are
• 8:22
  you and bold worth? And the song that was playing as
• 8:28
  I saw this was consider Him by Upper room.
• 8:31
  And whoever has listened to this, it is a very powerful
• 8:34
  song. And if you haven't, definitely
• 8:36
  go listen to it after this. But it just made me think in a
• 8:41
  world that is constantly screaming at us, it's all about
• 8:45
  you. It's all about what you want,
• 8:46
  what your heart desires. Guys, consider Jesus.
• 8:51
  Consider the one who saw you broken, alone, forgotten, and he
• 8:58
  decided he didn't have to. He wasn't obligated to.
• 9:01
  He chose to step down from his throne in heaven to come save
• 9:05
  you. So what are you worth to him?
• 9:09
  You are worth his life, y'all. God has never stopped pursuing
• 9:13
  you. He just wants you.
• 9:16
  He wants your undivided attention, your whole heart.
• 9:20
  So don't run from him because you may feel uncalled or you
• 9:25
  feel insecure or that you're too far gone.
• 9:28
  You've done too many things. That's not what the Bible
• 9:31
  preaches. It just says to run to him.
• 9:35
  So as I close, I want to present y'all with a challenge for
• 9:39
  today. Will you be his child?
• 9:42
  That's what we see when I read that letter over y'all today.
• 9:46
  But just think about it. Will you be his child?
• 9:49
  Because a child is not expected to do everything perfectly.
• 9:55
  In fact, they're expected to mess up because they don't know
• 9:58
  any better. A child simply follows the
• 10:01
  leading of their father. And when you truly just live
• 10:06
  with the identity of being a child of God, you realize you
• 10:10
  don't want to do anything without Him.
• 10:13
  So my challenge? Let His love wash over you
• 10:17
  today. You are free.
• 10:20
  You're free to rest in His loving, fatherly arms.
• 10:25
  And as you finish listening to this episode, I just want to
• 10:28
  encourage you to rest in the stillness of this message.

  There's a lot to unpack and to sit with the gospel without
• 10:37
  rushing to the next thing. If you need to play this again,

  play it again, but take some time to seek the Lord yourself.

  Invite Him to really tend to your heart directly and
• 10:48
  personally, maybe to awaken areas where you've grown weary
• 10:53
  or you're distracted or maybe you're spiritually asleep or

  half awake. And also if you were listening

  and maybe the Lord put someone on your mind or on your heart,
• 11:05
  someone who might need this reminder of God's love.

  I just want to encourage you to share this with them because
• 11:12
  truly you never know how God can use you just by sending a
• 11:17
  podcast or sharing a Bible verse with someone.
• 11:20
  You don't know how that simple invitation can meet someone
• 11:24
  right where they are. So thank you all so much for
