- 0:07issues. Brought to you by the
- 0:10hypnotherapist, demanded by celebrities, CEOs and even
- 0:14royalty. Adam Cox.
- 0:16These recordings took place live from Adam's clinic in London's
- 0:19world famous Harley Street. This podcast features powerful
- 0:23hypnosis, so do not listen while driving or operating machinery.
- 0:27This recording is not suitable for those with epilepsy or
- 0:30severe mental health issues, so get yourself comfortable and
- 0:34enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:40Hi, it's Adam here. And in this episode of the
- 0:43Hypnotist, you're going to be listening to a hypnosis session
- 0:46created for a client that was just about to move from their
- 0:51home for many, many years to a new place.
- 0:54And they really wanted this to represent not just a physical
- 0:58change to their environment, but a fresh emotional start that
- 1:03some of the habits that they've got into, like over analyzing
- 1:10too much anxiety and caution with things outside of their
- 1:13control, trying to control too many things.
- 1:17They didn't want that version of them to go to the new place.
- 1:21So you're going to hear a very metaphorical hypnosis session
- 1:25that uses the train. A train is a good metaphor for a
- 1:30journey from one place to another place, but also that's
- 1:33how they were going to get to their new home anyway, was a
- 1:37train. And then also nature.
- 1:39And nature involves plants, but it also involves animals.
- 1:43So you're going to hear a few metaphors that link to things
- 1:46like seeds growing and also fish.
- 1:49And fish can be confined by their environment or the same
- 1:53fish in a different environment is able to have a lot more
- 1:57freedom and also grow much bigger in terms of physical
- 2:00size. So it's very metaphorical.
- 2:03And it has an elements here which is about releasing things
- 2:08that aren't useful into the past and carrying forward those
- 2:12things that would be useful in the future.
- 2:15And you don't have to be moving to a new place for this.
- 2:19You know, in many cultures, a new year represents a similar
- 2:23kind of thing that you don't want to take bad habits or old
- 2:28frustrations or resentment from one year into the new year.
- 2:32It's this spring equinox at the point where I record this, also
- 2:37the Persian New Year. So it may be that actually
- 2:40spring in the Northern hemisphere is just a very good
- 2:44reason for you to leave certain things behind and carry new
- 2:48things forward. It doesn't have to be that
- 2:50you're physically moving. Of course, this was created for
- 2:53a specific individual. Some of the suggestions were
- 2:56very relevant for them and may not be relevant for you at all.
- 3:00So if you do like the idea of a bespoke session, click the More
- 3:04info button in the show notes. You'll see there's a link to
- 3:08book a free consultation call. Or you can check out my website
- 3:11whichisadamcox.co.uk And on that website you'll see lots of
- 3:16information about me, how I work, what I do, but also that
- 3:19same link to book the free consultation call.
- 3:22For now though, find a quiet, comfortable place where you
- 3:25won't be disturbed. Relax and enjoy the session.
- 4:04Take a deep breath in, and as you breathe in, breathe in calm,
- 4:13relaxing breath. And as you exhale, just allow
- 4:20any feelings of stress or worries, any tension, to feel
- 4:27like it's leaving your body in your outward breath.
- 4:34Position your body in a way where you can feel comfortable
- 4:37and notice with your eyes closed how much easier it is to focus
- 4:46on the sound of my voice and the significance of my words.
- 4:55Breathing in and breathing out, feeling like it's OK to settle,
- 5:01to be comfortable, to feel like you're shifting into a calm and
- 5:09tranquil state as you breathe in and breathe out.
- 5:23Notice how good it feels to let go, to let go of anything.
- 5:32You've been holding on to that belongs in your past and not in
- 5:37your future. Feel like you're breathing in
- 5:42the resources? Then you want more of
- 5:47mindfulness, optimism, a sense of spontaneity or responsibility
- 6:00and allow anything that you don't desire anymore to leave
- 6:07your body in that outward breath.
- 6:14So many feelings of overthinking or over analyzing just feel like
- 6:18you're letting that go and need to control or avoid.
- 6:28Allow it to leave your body. And no, notice how freer and
- 6:35lighter you feel by breathing in what you need and exhaling what
- 6:46you don't. That's it.
- 6:52More and more relaxed as your body relaxes, your imagination
- 6:59awakens and I wonder if you could imagine standing on a
- 7:06platform of a train station. Maybe a specific train station
- 7:17or maybe just a representation of a train station.
- 7:25I want you to get a sands that What if this train station is
- 7:30teleported away from a city, away from a town?
- 7:37Just place this train station somewhere open, right in the
- 7:43middle of nature, perhaps surrounded by wildflowers, trees
- 7:51swaying softly in the breeze. Consider this train station a
- 7:59space between chapters, the end of a long chapter, but before
- 8:08the beginning of a new one. You can consider it a moment of
- 8:15stillness before the movement begins.
- 8:22I want to imagine that you're holding a small suitcase.
- 8:30Notice the colour, the material, the texture, and you realise
- 8:36that this suitcase doesn't carry clothes or items.
- 8:41This suitcase carries the very essence of you, the real you,
- 8:50the parts that you choose to bring with you into this next
- 8:55chapter. And this is where your intuition
- 9:00does all the heavy lifting because you begin to sense
- 9:06intuitively what belongs in this case.
- 9:12And not everything does. It's the things that make you
- 9:19you, perhaps. I think a sense that inside this
- 9:26case is a deep appreciation for the present moment, a
- 9:33willingness or a readiness for spontaneity and adventure, A
- 9:39gentle, grounded connection to the natural world.
- 9:47Scan your body for a sensation, perhaps a feeling, like a pull,
- 9:54a calling. But this isn't from your past.
- 10:00This is from the future, from the version of you that's
- 10:07already in your future, a version of you that's waiting,
- 10:13thriving and expanding. And then imagine a train slowly
- 10:19pulling into the station, and you notice something unusual or
- 10:26curious about it. This isn't just a train, it's a
- 10:34symbol of freedom, of intentional change, of becoming.
- 10:45So imagine stepping aboard with that small suitcase carrying the
- 10:52very essence of you, knowing intuitively that all of those
- 10:57things that you don't want to come with you on this journey
- 11:02are not. In that case, as the train
- 11:07starts to move forwards, look out of the window and see
- 11:16memories or images from your past, perhaps moments of
- 11:21restlessness, of overthinking, of trying to control every
- 11:29little thing. But now you smile, because you
- 11:35know those were part not of you, but of the fish bowl, that small
- 11:45space where you work and find. And you did your best in that
- 11:52bowl. You swam, you survived.
- 11:57But the train is taking you to your lake, this new expansive
- 12:06space where you can grow, where you can feel your body stretch
- 12:14with possibility, where your mind can expand.
- 12:21And maybe you sense it already. This new life, the spaciousness
- 12:29of presence, the joy of spontaneity, the very richness
- 12:38of purpose. Your new home, that place that
- 12:45you're moving to. What if it isn't just a
- 12:49location? What if it's a garden of
- 12:54potential? A place where your hands meet
- 12:58soil, where you plant seeds of opportunities that will flourish
- 13:04and grow. These seeds could be your
- 13:09intentions, your actions, your habits and decisions.
- 13:15And when you plant these seeds, you can then nurture with love,
- 13:21protect with pride, and when the time comes, harvest with
- 13:27gratitude and share with joy. Start to think of the seeds that
- 13:38you will sow in this new place, A wise man once said.
- 13:47Then from small acorns mighty oak trees do grow.
- 13:57What if these things you start to plant in this new life become
- 14:02magnificent things in your future?
- 14:09And notice you feel a sense of wonderful responsibility, sense
- 14:17of stewardship, like you're a custodian.
- 14:23Because this responsibility is not a burden.
- 14:27It's a gift to be that steward of nature, to respect her
- 14:34rhythms, to listen to her whispers, to learn her lessons,
- 14:44and in doing so, perhaps to teach.
- 14:51I wonder if you can imagine yourself sharing your knowledge,
- 14:57maybe guiding young hearts and curious minds, not from a place
- 15:03of ego, but from a place of harmony, of deep connection to
- 15:13something ancient and wise. And as the train continues, get
- 15:23a sense that something is being left behind, not thrown away,
- 15:31but released. Old emotional patterns,
- 15:39reactiveness, avoidance, the urge to control over analysis
- 15:46that led to paralysis that once kept you spinning in circles.
- 15:53Gone now, like smoke from the chimney of a old steam engine,
- 16:01dissolving, making space for clarity, enthusiasm and
- 16:09excitement. You need to get a sense that you
- 16:15feel light, not because you're empty, but because you're free
- 16:25and the train begins to slow. I want you to imagine arriving
- 16:32at the station of your new life. You feel ready, rooted in
- 16:42purpose, open to play, feel devoted to the earth and
- 16:52expansive in vision. Imagine leaving the train onto
- 17:00that new platform that represents this new chapter and
- 17:06breathe it in. This is your lake, this is your
- 17:12soil, this is your time. You are here now, you are ready,
- 17:23and you are exactly where you are meant to be.
- 17:32And if you could imagine this a wonderful new chapter starting,
- 17:36let me know about nodding your head.
- 17:39That's it. And in doing so, you have now
- 17:45programmed your unconscious to take what's useful and necessary
- 17:52and leave behind everything that isn't a fresh start, a blank
- 17:59canvas, a new chapter. It's time to leave this
- 18:07platform, returning to your present feeling that your mind
- 18:11is primed for a wonderful new adventure.
- 18:17So take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your
- 18:22nose. Just wiggle your fingers and
- 18:26wiggle your toes. Start to connect and calibrate
- 18:30with the here and the now as I now count from 1:00 to 10:00 to
- 18:36awaken you and you will awaken feeling resourceful, optimistic,
- 18:45energized for this new chapter. Starting to count 123 Waking up
- 18:54456 more alert 7-8. Open your eyes.
- 18:59Open your eyes, 910. Wide awake, wide awake, wide
- 19:05awake. Thank you for listening to The
