- 0:01Galatians chapter 3. Let us pray.
- 0:09Oh God Almighty, thank you God for another day.
- 0:15I thank you, God, for waking us up, Father, for putting us on
- 0:19our feet, Lord, for giving us food and clean drinking water
- 0:23and shelter and love. God, I thank you for all the
- 0:27blessings that you have poured out and lavished upon us today,
- 0:30God, even those things that we're not even aware of, God,
- 0:34all of our internal organs working together, all of the
- 0:38breath and the capillaries, Lord, that are firing off all of
- 0:42our synapses, Father, every single cell, every molecule, God
- 0:48in Symphony impulsating towards you.
- 0:52God, I pray in the name of Jesus that you will be magnified and
- 0:58glorified today, exalted above every name and entity and
- 1:03principality. Father, God Almighty, the God of
- 1:07Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, Israel's God, the God of David,
- 1:16and the God who created everything seen and unseen, the
- 1:22God of the universe. Lord, we attach ourselves to
- 1:27you. We acknowledge your supremacy.
- 1:32We acknowledge your deity. We acknowledge you, Father, as
- 1:39the only uncreated. We thank you, God, for the
- 1:44sustaining life. We thank you, God, for our
- 1:47salvation. We thank you, God, for the love
- 1:51that we have and that we share with each other.
- 1:53We thank you, God, that we are known by you and that we can
- 1:58know you through the reading of your Word, Lord.
- 2:02We thank you for the Word of God, the Rhema, the spoken word
- 2:08that you were well pleased to give us.
- 2:10Lord, the authority over all generations, over all people
- 2:14groups, over all continents. God, we trust and believe and
- 2:20receive to day You and the blood of Jesus Christ covering us.
- 2:28Lord, we desire a greater measure of who you are.
- 2:33We desire to know you more intimately, God.
- 2:37We desire to know you in the secret places, God, and in the
- 2:41public squares. We desire to proclaim your name
- 2:46throughout all generations, all people groups.
- 2:49God Almighty, help us not to shrink back today.
- 2:53Help us to be emboldened and zealous for your word.
- 2:57God Almighty. We thank you Lord, for the
- 3:01Church that called out ones, the ecclesia.
- 3:04God, we pray for those who are being persecuted all over this
- 3:08world, all over. Father, I pray in the name of
- 3:11Jesus for a supernatural filling.
- 3:14I pray in the name of Jesus for healing from on high.
- 3:18God, heal our broken bodies, heal our broken minds.
- 3:22Heal us, God from all of our infirmities.
- 3:25Lord, heal us from mental illness and heal us, God from
- 3:29cancer and diabetes. Father, heal us from Alzheimer's
- 3:33and dementia. Heal us God, from all of the
- 3:38things that plague us, Lord on this side of heaven and Lord
- 3:43lead us home, God from glory to glory.
- 3:45God we know to live is Christ and to die is game.
- 3:49And God, we do not hold on to our lives.
- 3:51We lay down our lives for your gospel and for the name of Jesus
- 3:56Christ, which is the name above all names.
- 3:59Lord Jesus, we love you. We love everything about you,
- 4:05Holy Spirit. Come and teach us and guide us
- 4:07through these scriptures. These holy scriptures.
- 4:11Yes, Holy Spirit, give us discernment for this hour.
- 4:16Help us to know what to do and when to do it and how to do it.
- 4:20Help us not to get confounded and confused.
- 4:25Help us to not grow weary and despair.
- 4:29Help us not to slip into depression.
- 4:31God help us not to be anxious for tomorrow, but God help us to
- 4:36lock in for today. Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, I
- 4:42decrease as you increase. Guide us, mark us, fill us, Holy
- 4:48Spirit, and we know that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday,
- 4:55today and forever. And the Spirit and the bride
- 4:58says, come Maranatha, come send Jesus Christ holy and lovely and
- 5:12worthy name that I pray, Amen. Let's start in verse one.
- 5:26Oh, foolish Galatians, who has bewitched you that you should
- 5:30not obey the truth before whose eyes Jesus Christ has been
- 5:35evidently set forth crucified among you?
- 5:40So Paul is genuinely perplexed at how they would go back to
- 5:47their lawful ways that these Judaizers has.
- 5:53They have crept into the churches there in Galatia, and
- 5:57they are teaching that they must come under the law of Moses in
- 6:03order to obtain salvation. And Paul, when he was with them
- 6:08in the first part, when he was evangelizing that area, he was
- 6:14very adamant about preaching Jesus Christ and the grace of
- 6:21Jesus Christ and the unmerited free gift of salvation.
- 6:26That was one for us on the cross.
- 6:28And it is nothing that we do, but it is everything that he
- 6:32did, friends. And you cannot work your way
- 6:36into heaven. You cannot behave your way into
- 6:38heaven. You cannot give enough money to
- 6:41get into heaven. You can't be good enough to get
- 6:44into heaven, and you cannot obey the law to the very last letter
- 6:50and get into heaven. It will never work that way
- 6:53because man inherently is sinful from our conception.
- 7:00We are sinful beings because of what Adam did when he sold us
- 7:04out to sin and to slavery. Friends.
- 7:08And so Jesus Christ bought us back, and we can have Jesus
- 7:13Christ holiness and righteousness.
- 7:15We can have Jesus Christ perfect life attached to us and covering
- 7:22us so that when we stand before Almighty God one day He will not
- 7:26see any of the sins that we have ever done, our doing, or will
- 7:32ever do. He will only see the perfect,
- 7:35spotless, blameless blood of Jesus Christ covering us from
- 7:41the very tops of our scalps to the very soles of our feet, our
- 7:45palms, our back, Friends, our face, our chest, friends, our
- 7:50legs, our entire body will be covered in the blood of Jesus
- 7:54Christ, and He will welcome us into eternity.
- 7:58And that is the only way that we'll ever get there, Friends.
- 8:01It has nothing to do with trying to work your way into heaven,
- 8:06being a wonderful volunteer, or giving all of your money away to
- 8:12charity. Being a philanthropist, friends,
- 8:16Being a humanitarian, friends, all of that is nothing but
- 8:21filthy rags in the sight of Jesus Christ.
- 8:26Holy, imperfect, spotless blood covering us.
- 8:34And Paul here is saying, who has turned you around?
- 8:38Who has gotten there and worked and weaseled their way into your
- 8:42camp? And they've got you believing
- 8:45that you must obtain salvation through the law of Moses.
- 8:50Far be it from us to ever regress.
- 8:54We need to progress, we need to charge the hill, we need to take
- 8:58the whole word to the whole world.
- 9:00But it's ignorance of the word of God that gets people into all
- 9:04kinds of trouble. And they start believing all of
- 9:07the lies and the deceptiveness of the enemy, friends.
- 9:12And we know that there's always a Judas in the camp.
- 9:15And we know that the problem with deception is that you do
- 9:22not realize you're being deceived.
- 9:25And Satan twists God's word. And there's just enough truth
- 9:30wrapped up in the lie that you buy it hook, line and sinker,
- 9:35friends. And he has led many astray, and
- 9:38he's led many off into bondage, friends.
- 9:41And he's put the ring in their nose and LED them off into
- 9:45slavery to works and slavery to self and slavery to send
- 9:52friends. And it leads to death.
- 9:55Verse 2. This only would I learn of you.
- 9:59Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law or by
- 10:04hearing of faith? And here we're going to get into
- 10:07a whole section about faith, and we're going to see how Abraham,
- 10:11it was accredited to him because of his faith.
- 10:14And faith is just believing in the things that are not yet as
- 10:17if they have already happened. Friends, it's believing God's
- 10:22promises that are in this book. It's believing all of the
- 10:26prophecies that are contained in this book that have not
- 10:29happened. And we believe them all as if
- 10:31they already are. And that is our inheritance.
- 10:35And we stand upon all of the revealed word of God for our
- 10:40lives. Are you so foolish?
- 10:45Having begun in the Spirit, are you now made perfect by the
- 10:49flesh? He's saying how ignorant are we
- 10:55to receive our salvation by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ?
- 10:59But then to think that we obtain some kind of super St. status by
- 11:10observing all of the Jewish roots and all of the laws of the
- 11:18Old Testament, he's saying that all of that is just the
- 11:22groundwork that we walk upon. We're not under it, we're above
- 11:26it. For have you suffered so many
- 11:30things in vain, if it yet be in vain?
- 11:35So of course, we know that this region here in Galatia is where
- 11:39Paul was stoned almost to death, but miraculously was revived
- 11:46from that incident. And there's no doubt that these
- 11:49Galatians have suffered some kind of persecution.
- 11:52And he's saying, have you suffered all that in vain just
- 11:56to go back to works and not to walk your salvation out in the
- 12:01Spirit of God being indwelled by the Holy Spirit, which enables
- 12:06us to not only uphold the law, but we are actually justified.
- 12:13We are actually made at one with God.
- 12:16And we do not need to have to worry about where we stand with
- 12:20God. We can know that, we know that
- 12:22we know that. We know that when we die, we're
- 12:25going to bust heaven wide open. Friends, We do not need to
- 12:28scratch our heads and have a hope.
- 12:30So maybe so kind of faith we can have a no so kind of faith by
- 12:36the blood of the Lamb, friends, and that is the only way that
- 12:39will ever make it into heaven. 5 He therefore that ministers to
- 12:46you, the Spirit, and works miracles among you, does he it
- 12:53by the works of the law or by the hearing of faith?
- 12:56So that's what Paul wants these Galatians to know, that all of
- 13:00the things that they see happening around them is not
- 13:03because of their works, but it is because of the manifest
- 13:06presence of the Holy Ghost within that camp. 6 Even as
- 13:12Abraham believed God and it was accounted to him for
- 13:16righteousness. So we're going to get into this
- 13:18whole little section here about how hundreds of years before the
- 13:24law was ever given through Moses on Mount Sinai, that Abraham,
- 13:31who was a Gentile, called out of his land and that God was well
- 13:37pleased to pick this man out of all of the population of the
- 13:43world to bless and to bless the whole world through.
- 13:48And so we can see here that before the law ever came, Moses
- 13:54was not even born yet, not even able to lead the people out of
- 14:01bondage. But God chose Abraham and gave
- 14:05Abraham his righteousness. It was accounted to him because
- 14:09of what? Because of his faith.
- 14:14And here we are on the other side of the law.
- 14:17And guess what it is that saves us?
- 14:20It's faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.
- 14:25And it is the grace of God that allows us to have that faith and
- 14:30to place that faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and to confess with
- 14:35our mouth and to believe in our heart.
- 14:37It is faith, friends, and so we can see here that Paul's going
- 14:42to paint this beautiful picture about how important faith not
- 14:46only was, but how important faith is today and not works,
- 14:52friends. Seven, know you therefore, that
- 15:03they which are of faith the same are the children of Abraham.
- 15:10So that is our lineage and our heritage.
- 15:13And the Jews at this time would have thought that there was no
- 15:19person attached to father Abraham that could ever go to
- 15:22hell. And that is the reason that they
- 15:24acted and behaved in the ways that they did, because they
- 15:27thought that they just automatically immediately were
- 15:31ushered into heaven because of their lineage to Abraham.
- 15:34And here Paul is showing the Galatians and God is showing
- 15:39that if we will have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, we will
- 15:42be the heirs of heaven, friends. We will be the heirs of all the
- 15:48promises, friends, to Israel. And it does not move the ethnic
- 15:55Jews and the ethnic land there in Israel does not marginalized
- 16:02and replace them friends. They are a peculiar people group
- 16:07in a peculiar nation unto God, His chosen people, which He
- 16:13chooses to reveal His power and His glory through because they
- 16:19are so incredibly small and so seemingly meaningless, and God
- 16:27is so glorified through using that little bitty nation even
- 16:32today. And His promises for the Jews
- 16:35still stand. He will not only regather them
- 16:39as He did in 1948, but He will send His salvation unto them.
- 16:45After all, the Gentiles come in that God has ordained friends
- 16:50before that seven-year tribulation, and the whole
- 16:53purpose of the whole seven-year tribulation is so that the Jews
- 16:58will finally admit that they murdered their Messiah, and come
- 17:01to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
- 17:09Eight in the Scripture for seeing that God would justify
- 17:14the heathen through faith preached before the gospel unto
- 17:18Abraham, saying, In you shall all nations be blessed.
- 17:23And that is what we are seeing today.
- 17:27Friends, it is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob that
- 17:30goes out into the entire world and it is the only thing, It is
- 17:35the only religion that has any power because it is only one
- 17:40true living God who was pleased to reveal himself to Abraham.
- 17:46And it is through Abraham's obedience and his faith that the
- 17:49nation was born, Friends, and it's still around today and the
- 17:54people are still around today. They have not been eradicated,
- 17:58friends. They have not been exterminated.
- 18:00They are still here today and they will stand the test of time
- 18:03because God is fighting their battles.
- 18:06And we are eternally blessed by not only Abraham, but by Moses
- 18:13and David friends, by John the Baptist, and we could see the
- 18:17seed of Abraham, Jesus Christ, who is our Savior, and the only
- 18:24way that we can get unto God Almighty, the Maker of heaven
- 18:28and earth. 9 So then they which be of faith are blessed with
- 18:38faithful Abraham. So we know that Abraham was the
- 18:42father of faith. And whenever we place our faith
- 18:45in the Lord Jesus Christ, we get interwoven into all the
- 18:50promises, friends, and we are blessed because of Abraham's
- 18:56faith. 10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under
- 19:03the curse, for it is written curse is everyone that
- 19:07continues, not in all things which are written in the book of
- 19:12the law to do them. So that is what Paul wants the
- 19:16Galatians to know, and it's what God wants us to know, that if
- 19:19you cannot perform every single jot and title of the law, if you
- 19:26cannot obtain every single bit of it, if you have ever sinned
- 19:31in your entire life, even one time, you're guilty of the
- 19:36entire law and you are under a curse.
- 19:38And the curse will send you to hell and damn you to a eternity
- 19:43apart from God Almighty. And that is the dire need for us
- 19:48to be covered in the righteous, perfect, holy blood of Jesus
- 19:54Christ. We could never work our way into
- 19:57heaven, friends. And that is what is referenced
- 20:00here in this verse. 11:00 but that no man is justified by the
- 20:08law in the sight of God. It is evident for that just
- 20:12shall live by faith. It is faith, friends, and that
- 20:18is what you need to understand is the entire point of the
- 20:22entire law that was given to Moses was to point us to our
- 20:28desperate need for a Savior. It was to show us how ridiculous
- 20:34it would ever be for us to try to find right standing with God
- 20:39through all the works that we could perform.
- 20:42It could never happen, friends. You sin consciously and you sin
- 20:48subconsciously. You commit sins and you actually
- 20:54commit sins of omission and Commission.
- 20:57Friends, sometimes by not saying anything or doing anything is a
- 21:01sin and sometimes by doing things and thinking things is a
- 21:08sin. And so that is what you need to
- 21:09understand. We are all guilty.
- 21:12Every single person on planet earth who has ever been born, is
- 21:19living, or will be born is guilty as charged, and our
- 21:24punishment is death and it is eternal separation away from God
- 21:30Almighty. When we reject the work of the
- 21:33Holy Spirit, when we reject the work of the cross with Jesus
- 21:37Christ, dying a criminal's death, friends, and spilling out
- 21:42His blood and water from His side, when we do not come to the
- 21:46Lord Jesus Christ by faith, we are guilty as charged. 12 And
- 21:55the law is not a faith, but the man that does them shall live in
- 22:01them. So he's saying, you have to
- 22:03choose. Are you going to try to work
- 22:05your way into heaven? Are you going to stand before an
- 22:07almighty holy God and say, well, I don't believe that God sends
- 22:13good people to hell? Are you approaching God from a
- 22:19moralistic way, saying that I'm a good person?
- 22:24A loving God would never, and that is where we heir to our own
- 22:30demise. You need to understand your
- 22:33depravity and your sinfulness. You need to understand that
- 22:37there is no good thing in you, no not one, that all of your
- 22:41righteousness is nothing but filthy rags before a holy God.
- 22:46You need to see the chasm between God's holiness and your
- 22:51sinfulness, and it is what will bring you to your knees, and it
- 22:55will cause you to cry out and plead to Jesus Christ to save
- 23:01you and to cover you and to mark you and to give you the Holy
- 23:06Spirit. Friends, 13 Christ has redeemed
- 23:12us from the curse of the law being made a curse for us.
- 23:17For it is written cursed is everyone that hangs on a tree.
- 23:22So here we know that Christ was sinless, and even in the whole
- 23:28exchange, the beautiful divine exchange upon the cross, when
- 23:32God placed all of the sins of humanity upon Christ, He
- 23:38remained perfect. And we can see here that all of
- 23:45our sinfulness was placed upon Christ, and all of His
- 23:50righteousness was placed upon us. 14 that the blessing of
- 24:00Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ,
- 24:04that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through
- 24:09faith. It is by faith that we received
- 24:11the Holy Spirit. Friends, you have to have faith
- 24:15that God is, and He rewards those who diligently seek Him.
- 24:21You have to believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and
- 24:25that God raised him from the dead on the third day.
- 24:28You have to believe, friends, and it is through this believing
- 24:33in something that we cannot see yet.
- 24:35And we place our faith in it and we trust in it so much that
- 24:41we're willing to die for it. We trust in it so much that we
- 24:47are willing to lay down our selfish motives, our selfish
- 24:52vanity, our selfish self seeking self preservation, friends, and
- 24:59we take up our cross and follow him into the darkest places.
- 25:04And it is by faith that we received the Holy Ghost. 15
- 25:12Brothers, I speak after the manner of men.
- 25:17Though it be but a man's covenant, yet if it be confirmed
- 25:24no man disannuls or adds to it. So here Paul wants them to
- 25:31understand that the completed authority of God's Word should
- 25:37not be added to or anything taken from it.
- 25:42That is where you see so many cults rise up.
- 25:45That is where you see so many false religions rise up.
- 25:49So whenever they try to take things out of the Bible or
- 25:52whenever you try to add things to the Bible, it is the Word of
- 25:56God only friends from Genesis to Revelation.
- 26:00And that is what you need to memorize.
- 26:02You need to hide it in your hearts, friends, so that you
- 26:06might not sin against him. And here Paul wants the
- 26:09Galatians to know that it is not the revelation that they
- 26:13received from Paul. Plus these Judaizers that have
- 26:16come into the camp to try to get them under the bondage of the
- 26:20Law. We are above the Law, friends.
- 26:2716 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made, he says,
- 26:34not into seeds, plural as of many, but as of 1 and 2 your
- 26:41seed, which is Christ. So here we can see that the seed
- 26:46that God was talking about to Abraham was Christ.
- 26:52And we can see that there have been many more Christians in the
- 26:58entire world than there ever has been Jews born out of the
- 27:04genealogy of Abraham. And when he told Abraham that he
- 27:08would have more descendants than the stars in the sky and the
- 27:13grains of sand on the seashore, he was talking about you and he
- 27:16was talking about me. The wild branches grafted in.
- 27:21But we cannot discount and discredit.
- 27:24We cannot persecute and try to get rid of the ethnic Jews.
- 27:29Romans Chapter 11 in Romans chapter 13, they are clear
- 27:33indicators and all of God's word confirms that God is not done
- 27:38with the ethnic Jews even today. They will stand the test of
- 27:42time, friends, and they will be there with us forevermore.
- 27:49They are God's chosen people, whether you agree with it or
- 27:53not, and you cannot try to marginalized them and to get rid
- 27:59of them. That is satanic at its core.
- 28:01It always has been since the beginning of time until now.
- 28:06There have been so many Satanic attacks upon the ethnic Jews,
- 28:10and it is because Satan knows that his time is short and God
- 28:14told him all the way back in the garden that he will have his
- 28:17head crushed. He's trying and he's writhing to
- 28:21get away from the promise of God that his head is going to get
- 28:25crushed. And he knows that his time is
- 28:27short and he is writhing in agony.
- 28:29Friends. He's grasping at straws today,
- 28:32friends, and you see it all around us.
- 28:34But do not give in to fear. Fear is the tactic of the enemy.
- 28:39He is defamed and he is declawed and he only has a roar and
- 28:44that's it. But we do not listen to the
- 28:46roar. We bring the Lion of Judah with
- 28:49us everywhere that we go, who roars louder.
- 28:52We speak a better word, and we plead the blood over the lentil.
- 28:56Friends, we will be passed over, and He will keep us from the
- 29:02hour that is coming to test all the inhabitants of the earth.
- 29:09Pray watch, so that you may be counted worthy to escape and to
- 29:17stand before the Son of God. 11:00 But that no man is
- 29:45justified by the law, and the sight of God it is evident, For
- 29:49the just shall live by faith. 12 And the law is not of faith, but
- 29:54the man that does them shall live in them. 13 Christ has
- 29:57redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for
- 30:01us. For it is written, Cursed is
- 30:02everyone that hangs on a tree, 14 that the blessing of Abraham
- 30:06might come to the Gentiles through Jesus Christ, that we
- 30:10might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. 15.
- 30:14Brothers, I speak after the manner of men, though it be but
- 30:18a man's covenant, yet it be confirmed no man disannuls or
- 30:22adds to 16. Now to Abraham and his seed were
- 30:26the promises made, He says not. And to seeds as of many, but as
- 30:31of, 1. And to your seed, which is of
- 30:33Christ, 17. And this I say that the covenant
- 30:37that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law which was 4,
- 30:42130 years after, cannot disall that it should make the promise
- 30:48no effect. So we can see here that the law
- 30:51did not add a new condition to the Abrahamic covenant of faith.
- 30:56We can see here, friends, that when the law came, it's not as
- 31:01if faith was swallowed up by the works.
- 31:04And that's what Paul wants these Galatians to know. 18 For in if
- 31:09the inheritance be of the law, it is no more promise, but God
- 31:15gave it to Abraham by promise. 19 Wherefore then serves the
- 31:23law? It was added because of
- 31:26transgressions, until the seed should come to whom the promise
- 31:34was made, and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a
- 31:38mediator. So Paul is asking the question,
- 31:42What is the whole point of the law?
- 31:45And it was to preserve the nation Israel.
- 31:48So they did not eat foods that were going to Riddle their
- 31:54bodies with diseases and waste away, and they would not make it
- 31:58into this blessed, glorious state of knowing Christ and God
- 32:06knew how to preserve his people. But he also wanted to point to
- 32:09the Savior in the fact that they could never save themselves. 20
- 32:15Now a mediator is not a mediator of 1, but God is 1.
- 32:22So we can see here the angels had to come and to give Moses
- 32:26the law written on tablets, and then we can see here that we
- 32:32actually get to go straight to the source.
- 32:35We did not need a mediator of angels.
- 32:38We have the Son of God, we have God the Son, we have the Trinity
- 32:443:00 and 1:00 and we are housed with the Holy Ghost, and we need
- 32:47not a mediator other than Christ himself, which is God. 21 Is the
- 32:54law then against the promises of God?
- 32:57God forbid. For if there had been a law
- 33:00given which could have given life, truly righteousness should
- 33:05have been by the law. So he's saying if we could have
- 33:07been made right by the law, then we would have, but we could not.
- 33:12And it pointed us to Christ. And now we can see that the law
- 33:16is not against God. We can, we can walk upon the
- 33:20law. We can do the things required by
- 33:23the law, but we are not under that bondage and slavery.
- 33:27We're not under it and slaves to it.
- 33:30We do it because we choose to do it.
- 33:32And that is a great difference that you need to comprehend.
- 33:35You need to grasp this, friends. You really need to own this,
- 33:40friends that we do the things that we do because we get to,
- 33:43not because we have to. We read the Word of God, we
- 33:49pray, we go to church, not because we have to, because we
- 33:55get to. And it should be one of the
- 33:58highlights of our day. We should walk in the Spirit
- 34:02daily, friends, not just Sunday to Sunday 22 but the scripture
- 34:10has concluded all under sin that the promise by faith of Jesus
- 34:17Christ might be given to them that believe.
- 34:21That's what it takes friends. It takes receiving and
- 34:24believing. It does not take doing and
- 34:28working, it's receiving and believing is how we received the
- 34:33Holy Ghost of how we're made right with God through his Son
- 34:37Jesus Christ, by the perfect, spotless, innocent blood that
- 34:41was shed on Calvary for you and for me. 23 But before faith
- 34:49came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith,
- 34:55which should afterwards be revealed.
- 34:58So for the time, from Moses all the way to Jesus Christ, they
- 35:06tried so hard to keep all of the law, and they had actually built
- 35:11rules on top of the law to keep them from ever penetrating into
- 35:15the inner circle of the commandments that were given to
- 35:20them. And they tried desperately, but
- 35:24they could never ever perform it to the last letter.
- 35:30And it was frustrating to them, but it was all pointing and
- 35:35still points today for their need for their Messiah, King
- 35:39Jesus, Yeshua. 24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to
- 35:50bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
- 35:55We can see through the law that it was keeping them, it was
- 35:59disciplining them, it was getting them to understand their
- 36:03need for Jesus Christ, that we can be justified, never done it,
- 36:10if we will place our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
- 36:13And we could stand before a holy God, holy because he is holy. 25
- 36:19But after that faith has come, we are no longer under a
- 36:22schoolmaster. So we can see that we need not a
- 36:26tutor, we need not a headmaster, we need not a principal to come
- 36:33and to lecture us and to beat us into submission.
- 36:37We discipline ourselves by the revealed will of God, and we
- 36:42need not be under the law who keeps us in bondage.
- 36:46We have freedom and whom the sun sets.
- 36:49Free is free indeed, friends. And now we go out and we have
- 36:54the mind of Christ, and we can know that we are in right
- 36:58standing with God. And that produces all of the
- 37:02activity that produces our right standing with God, produces the
- 37:07works that we do for Him. And we do it out of love and out
- 37:10of joy, and we do it because we want to and not because we have
- 37:14to. 26 For you are all the children of God by faith in
- 37:20Christ Jesus. Are you a child of God?
- 37:23I pray that you are. I pray that you are not the
- 37:26child of the devil, and that you are not giving in to all the
- 37:30lies and the schemes and the trickery and the deceitfulness
- 37:34of the Father of lies. And we have to choose our
- 37:37Father. But we cry out ABBA, Yahweh, El
- 37:43Shaddai, El Elyon, Jehovah Rapha, Jehovah Nisi, Jehovah
- 37:48Jireh Elroy. We cry out faithful and true in
- 37:54King of Kings and Lord of Lords. We cry out wonderful counselor,
- 38:02We cry out the Alpha, the Omega. He is our Father.
- 38:3327 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have
- 38:39put on Christ. That is what we put on, friends.
- 38:45And you can see all the way back in the garden after sin entered
- 38:49in, God made them a coat of skin.
- 38:52And here we can see that we were walking around in that sinful
- 38:56clothing. And we have to put on the
- 39:00righteousness of Jesus Christ by getting covered in his blood,
- 39:04friends. And that is how we are in Christ
- 39:06and Christ in us. We put on Christ.
- 39:10When we're baptized into Christ, we lay the dead man down in the
- 39:14water, and we raise up to life. It is death and it is
- 39:17resurrection, and we are born again and we are regenerated,
- 39:21and we are a new creation in Christ. 28 There is neither Jew
- 39:29nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male
- 39:33nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
- 39:39We'll end on 29 And if you be Christ, then you are Abraham's
- 39:44seed and heirs according to the promise.
- 39:48What's he talking about here? All boundary lines are removed
- 39:52in Christ Jesus, and it does not mean, as some are in the habit
- 39:57of saying, that God has done away with all of the relational
- 40:03ties that are beneficial to families, are beneficial to
- 40:13society, are beneficial in relation to how we interact here
- 40:20on this earth. And he is saying that.
- 40:25He removes all the boundary lines that we try to allow to
- 40:32keep us from Him. He has removed every stumbling
- 40:36block and every rock of a fence, and we could come boldly into
- 40:41the throne room. And we can see here that those
- 40:44that are in Christ, it does not matter their social status if
- 40:49they are rich or if they are poor.
- 40:51It does not matter if they are an employer or an employee.
- 40:56You can come to Christ if you are male or if you are female.
- 41:00This is not just a patriarchal society only for men.
- 41:05He revealed His resurrected body to women who had no credibility
- 41:12in that time frame. When Jesus was raised to life,
- 41:17it was to a woman that He revealed His deity to with the
- 41:22woman at the well in Samaria. You can see here that God loves
- 41:28the women and it is not that he rips down genders and that we
- 41:32are free from a gender role. That is heresy and apostasy at
- 41:38large, and it is being propagated in the worst possible
- 41:43way in this day and this age. And those people have erred
- 41:47grievously by trying to twist Scripture.
- 41:50But it is no surprise because our enemy, Satan deceives people
- 41:58as an Angel of light. And you need to have the
- 42:05context, friends, that this is not ripping down gender roles.
- 42:11This is not ripping down the beneficial roles that we play
- 42:17within this society, friends, and it is the judeo-christian
- 42:23values that are of the highest order and the highest law of
- 42:29every single land throughout this entire world.
- 42:33And we will either have to find that out the hard way, or we can
- 42:36choose the easy way and we can come under the submissiveness,
- 42:42friends, of how God has orchestrated the family and has
- 42:46orchestrated society. And when we buck that, we become
- 42:51reprobate in the fullest manner, and we choose evil over God, and
- 42:56we call God into the courtroom, and we try to attach to God the
- 43:01wrong ideologies in the wrong theology by trying to twist
- 43:06scripture as Satan did many times in the wilderness with
- 43:10Jesus and in the garden with Adam.
- 43:14We could see it. It is as old as time, friends.
- 43:20We need not try to break down what God has said and it is the
- 43:26entirety of God's revealed word that gives us the context.
- 43:31You cannot cherry pick verses and manipulate and twist them
- 43:35for your own selfish vanity and trying to explain away and
- 43:44trying to get rid of the fear of what your friends and what your
- 43:51constituents and what your workplace and what your nation
- 43:54and what your government says about these gender roles.
- 43:58Friends. And we can see here that God
- 44:01desires for us to remove all of the boundary lines so that we
- 44:08can come to Him wholeheartedly. And He receives us
- 44:12wholeheartedly when we come to Him by faith in our Lord Jesus
- 44:16Christ. Regardless of your social
- 44:19status, regardless of your gender, regardless of your
- 44:25nationality, God accepts anyone who will come to Him by faith.
- 44:37I hope that you've been blessed by this chapter here.
- 44:44What an amazing chapter in God's Word.
- 44:47And there's a lot more to be said, but suffice to say that we
- 44:53place our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and we are made
- 44:57perfect and holy and at one with God.
- 45:02I hope that that makes your heart leap today.
- 45:07You don't have to worry about your church attendance, your
- 45:10attire. You do not have to worry about
- 45:13what version of the Bible is being read or taught or which
- 45:19one you own. You do not have to worry about
- 45:21this fundamental legalistic approach to God that we come to
- 45:26Him like little children, and unless you have the faith of a
- 45:29little child, you shall not inherit the Kingdom of God.
- 45:40I'm praying for you. I love you.
- 45:47We'll see you back here tomorrow.
- 45:49God bless you.
