- 0:04The Champ. Check it out today.
- 0:06Our guest is backed by popular demand.
- 0:08If you grew up in New York in the late 90s, two thousands his
- 0:11name rang in the streets. A street pharmaceutical salesman
- 0:16to be an associate and crew member of the infamous Gambino
- 0:19Mafia crime family. He is no stranger to being
- 0:22dressed to the nines while keeping it real with his hip hop
- 0:25swag, all while living life like a rock style * Let's welcome
- 0:30back Mr. Anthony Hootie Rousseau.
- 0:33Oh yeah. You know, I don't know that you
- 0:35didn't tell me you you wrote that when I you wrote that down
- 0:38when I wasn't paying attention. Yeah, man, you know.
- 0:40I like that. Try to get it.
- 0:42You know the swag thing? That was my.
- 0:43Obituary there. You go.
- 0:45So you got a big announcement later on today.
- 0:47Well, do I got a big announcement or we got a big
- 0:50announcement? Hey, you know which one could it
- 0:51be? Well, you'll.
- 0:53Have to find out. You'll have to find out, but
- 0:55before we were starting, you had a fire story that you were going
- 0:59to present right away. Could you share that one with
- 1:02us? So I don't think I ever told
- 1:05this one. There was a it was actually
- 1:09mainly a banana bar. I think it was called Glenn
- 1:13Patrick's. It was on Crossway Blvd.
- 1:16And it was kind of like the end of Ozone Park almost towards the
- 1:19beginning of Howard Beach. And it was a big neighborhood
- 1:22place. A lot of banana guys hung out
- 1:25there, but it was just more majority, just a lot of just
- 1:28neighborhood young kids. And this was had to be the late
- 1:3690s. And you know, I was trying to
- 1:38think of Ronnie one on stories where, you know, he actually
- 1:45fought, not just knock guys out because he had a killer punch.
- 1:48He just knocked guys out. He's a big guy.
- 1:50And he did, he fought, you know, whenever he had to, he fought
- 1:54all the time. So we're in Glenpatrick's and
- 2:01the whole crew's in there. It's when I, you know, I'm just
- 2:04hanging out with them a couple years by now.
- 2:07The whole neighborhood is in there.
- 2:09But it's like one of those things where is kids from all
- 2:12parts of the neighborhood there and they don't really all know
- 2:16each other, which is like very weird to me.
- 2:19And like something like I try to do on social media.
- 2:22I don't like to be for guys on social media.
- 2:24If there was things I didn't like, I step up, I say
- 2:27something. But like in the streets, I knew
- 2:29everybody in there, but like everybody in there didn't know
- 2:33each other because I did business with a lot of people.
- 2:37I like to hang out different parts of it.
- 2:38I played all with all different, you know, crews.
- 2:42And so I was more or less I like to be known as a neighborhood
- 2:46guy. That's just how I was.
- 2:49And so there was a kid in there from Woodhaven, Ozone Park,
- 2:56redheaded, and his name is Danny, and his father was a
- 3:03Hells Angel just came home, or he was coming home.
- 3:07And how this kid didn't know. He might have been the only
- 3:12person on the planet that didn't know who Ronnie won, almost.
- 3:16So they go to the bathroom and two of the guys in our crew
- 3:24follow Ronnie to the bathroom. The place is packed.
- 3:27Why he was in there? I think he might have heard
- 3:31girls talking about it because I think that was the first and
- 3:33last time he's ever been in there.
- 3:35And you know, it was young too, back then.
- 3:39So when I found out that he was going there, it was.
- 3:45I just want to stay home and mind my business because God
- 3:47only knows what's going to happen or now I want to go and
- 3:50want to see what's going to happen.
- 3:52What would he doing there? You know, the place is jam
- 3:54packed. You know, even if the bartender
- 3:56knows who he is, he's going to have to make way because they're
- 3:59going to treat him like a, you know, like a rock star.
- 4:01He gets the world treatment. And if people do know who he is,
- 4:05he's the type of guy that walks into a bar, he's going to clear
- 4:07it out. People don't want to be in
- 4:08there. Don't know what this guy doing.
- 4:10He's right here to clip somebody and you know, he's with five or
- 4:14six guys and back then there was like two or three guys in that
- 4:17crew that could really get down that, you know, wind up
- 4:22eventually not hanging out with us anymore.
- 4:24Moved on, but they got down. So the kids in the bathroom,
- 4:32Ronnie goes in the bathroom, they're waiting for Ronnie by
- 4:36the door. Kid might have been paying
- 4:38attention. He had no idea who Ronnie one on
- 4:40was on top of it. The kids like 5 foot 2, Ronnie's
- 4:4466, like, like, so he goes to use the bathroom.
- 4:48Ronnie might have been a little drunk.
- 4:50He's off balance, you know, with his arm.
- 4:52And he must have brushed the kid.
- 4:54This kid said, hearing it from the other two guys, they were
- 4:59like, this kid was an idiot. And then, you know, they told me
- 5:02what happened in the bathroom. So he goes, well, why, why don't
- 5:06you watch where you're going? He tells Ronnie.
- 5:09And Ronnie was tuned up, so he didn't really take it as a
- 5:13disrespect. And he was like, I, yeah.
- 5:16And the kids, like, you didn't hear me.
- 5:19And then, like, they didn't react because they were so taken
- 5:23back by what, how this kid was talking to him, you know, and he
- 5:27looked like a redheaded stepchild, right.
- 5:29So they said they just couldn't wait anymore.
- 5:33All you seen was water I seen coming from the bathroom floor,
- 5:39out of the bathroom onto the floor.
- 5:42They were hitting this kid with the sink.
- 5:45They ripped the sink off the wall.
- 5:47They hit him with everything and he was a little juice head.
- 5:50So he was like a little Mighty Mouse, like he was making it
- 5:52through. And as I guess everybody else
- 5:57was. No, that was knew who Ronnie
- 6:01was, you know, So when the door opens and I can see Ronnie's in
- 6:08a suit, he's slipping all over the place and he only got 1 off
- 6:12and he's trying to like hit the kid and it's not funny, but it,
- 6:17it looked like a, like a comedy skit.
- 6:19Slip this way, slip that way. But then the other two kids, the
- 6:23other two guys were big guys and you know, so they're not fast
- 6:28but powerful and know how to fight and they're hitting them
- 6:31with everything and they're slipping.
- 6:33But he's small and, you know, juiced up, so he's like sliding
- 6:38the right way, like making the like, but getting hit with
- 6:41everything. They dropped the sink on him.
- 6:43He got off waters everywhere. So on the way out the door,
- 6:49everybody in the crowd hit him as he goes out the door, how
- 6:55many times his own friends didn't help him.
- 6:57So as he's trying to make it to the door, it's about 30 feet,
- 7:01the everybody in the place took a shot at this kid.
- 7:05It was like I'm, I'm like, I felt like I was in a movie.
- 7:08I'm like, is this really what's going on right now?
- 7:10Did you hit him? No, I was on the other side.
- 7:12I didn't know it was him. I had no idea it was him.
- 7:17They were hitting them all over the place from every angle when
- 7:21they got outside. I knew the kids that he was with
- 7:25because they were from 88 Park. They were the younger kid.
- 7:27So when I seen them, he was bloodied.
- 7:31He was all banged up, but he was OK.
- 7:33But what went on inside was like one of the first times that like
- 7:38I seen Ronnie trying to throw down but throwing more than one
- 7:42punch, but like really couldn't connect because he was slipping
- 7:44all over the place. So and I'm like, like, did I
- 7:48really come out on this night? Like it was all I was surreal.
- 7:53Like and then you say all the kids in the neighborhood, these
- 7:56young kids would just take letting it let's haymakers at
- 7:59this kid just now. I didn't ask what happened or
- 8:03why they're doing it. They just knew that Ronnie was
- 8:07trying to hit that kid, so the whole neighborhood wanted to hit
- 8:10him. Did the kid run out?
- 8:11I mean, you said he was he? Made it out the door and he
- 8:12just. Cruise out.
- 8:13And they were standing on a corner waiting from the kids
- 8:16that he came with. And he's like, how'd you leave
- 8:18me in there? Did you see what happened?
- 8:20And they were like, are you crazy?
- 8:22And the kids were pretty tough kids.
- 8:24They were like anybody else in the whole place.
- 8:27You picked on one of the bosses in the Gambino crime family.
- 8:32He's like they, you know, like I can see him shrugging, but I
- 8:36don't know what he's saying cuz I'm across the street.
- 8:37So I want to know what he says afterwards.
- 8:39And after he leaves, they said he kind of like stuttered was
- 8:46take it back that he just got to a fight with, you know, a guy
- 8:50from the Gambino crime family. And then in the next breath was
- 8:54I'll give off my falls as Hell's Angel.
- 8:56He'll kill him. And he ran off and I was like,
- 8:59they're like, he's just a fucking idiot.
- 9:02So the next day, the next day, this is the funny part of the
- 9:06story. He goes to my friend Louis T,
- 9:11who I worked for in the arcade because I guess like they
- 9:15weren't friends or nothing, but he must have put two and two
- 9:18together. Louis, maybe he's a knock around
- 9:20guy and he can get word. So Louis meets him.
- 9:24So he's thinking he wants to apologize or should he go on the
- 9:28lamb or this or that? Know what the kid says?
- 9:32You think I should go find him and fight him again?
- 9:35This is how it burnt out this kid was.
- 9:36Was he a rock head? Yeah, he was a big juice head.
- 9:40He was all fucked up in the steroids.
- 9:42Did anything. When my father finds out about
- 9:45this, this guy's going to have a big problem.
- 9:47You know, my father's a Hell's age.
- 9:48Like the way he's telling me stories.
- 9:51Like, I just couldn't believe what was coming out.
- 9:54Like I didn't have an answer I got, I didn't even know what to
- 9:57say what was coming out of this kids mouth.
- 10:00Like the two guys alone on the regular ground would have put
- 10:06them in the ground, then Ronnie and then the whole place.
- 10:11Then your own friends who you you go out and fight with every
- 10:14weekend got the fuck out of there because they knew better.
- 10:18And you're coming here like you're going to do something
- 10:22like how what'd you take this morning?
- 10:24Like how much like like steroids or whatever.
- 10:27He's like, like, what the fuck is wrong?
- 10:28And he's like, no, he goes, wait, what do you think I can
- 10:30find this guy? Like he was going to go try to
- 10:33fight this guy. And then he went into all, you
- 10:36know, my father's going to find out about this and he's a Hell's
- 10:38Angel and you know, then he'll be in trouble.
- 10:42And it's like, and this is like 199899 like, like the mob was
- 10:48still going, you know what I mean?
- 10:49It's like, and Ronnie was a guy who didn't play around.
- 10:52So it's like what the And it's like the weirdest fucking story.
- 10:56And if I didn't witness it, I would have thought someone would
- 10:59come and tell me story to break up my balls.
- 11:01What? What came of it?
- 11:02Did the Hell's Angels ever come about it?
- 11:03Never came of it. The kid wind up getting beat up
- 11:06in like 3 different bars after that.
- 11:07They still kept. Going out and causing trouble,
- 11:11you know what I mean? In like Woodhaven area, there
- 11:14wasn't no really mob guys or anything in those bars.
- 11:17Lunatics and tough guys, but not mob guys, you know?
- 11:22How did he not get knocked out? Because people are going to hear
- 11:24this story and they're going to think like how many guys are we
- 11:26talking about? Like this guy's going through to
- 11:28see people. So like 151015 guys.
- 11:31Less than that, No. I think the worst of it was in
- 11:34the bathroom because they hit him with.
- 11:36He was bleeding from everywhere. Yeah, it's scars everywhere.
- 11:39But when there's so. No, it was about 50 people, like
- 11:4420 that the place was jam packed.
- 11:45Yeah, but when there's so many people trying to hit you, you'll
- 11:48maybe get one or two. And he was quick, was all
- 11:52steroided up. Who knows?
- 11:54He probably felt it for the next week after that.
- 11:56Yeah, you know, 'cause I remember seeing him and he had
- 11:59bandages all over his head. So I know when they hit him with
- 12:01the sing, I know they, they gave it to him good.
- 12:04Inside the bathroom. Like how did that not knock like
- 12:07a like a thick guy? This is a thick like.
- 12:09Sun, this is. Like a little.
- 12:10Ceramic with all those. Things they just ripped it out
- 12:13of the wall or out. Of the wall and just put it over
- 12:16his. Coconut.
- 12:16Now, how big were the how big were the other two guys that
- 12:20like something? My height and solid.
- 12:22Yeah, they were. They were two tough guys, Yeah,
- 12:24and known for knocking guys out. So with now, was he in there
- 12:27still trying to fistfight or he kind of realized, shit, I'm
- 12:30trying to get out, but he couldn't get out trying to get
- 12:31out. He's just slipping.
- 12:32Around and he was like, but like going with it, right?
- 12:35You know what I mean, 'cause when I seen him, it looked like
- 12:38he was the only one that knew what he was doing.
- 12:40Yeah, it's. Almost like and.
- 12:41Bleeding all over the place, you know what I mean?
- 12:44But he knew like, and then when he got there, if somebody might
- 12:48have grabbed them and pulled them back in, then he would have
- 12:50been screwed because then there'll just been like 50 guys
- 12:52stomping on his head. Kill them you think with Nah.
- 12:56There's a little bit of coma, but who knows all the time.
- 12:58He was on all types of drugs so. He's lucky nobody pulled out of
- 13:02like a knife or anything like that.
- 13:05You know what I did like the next What was it like 3-4 days
- 13:12later, we were all sitting around in Aldo's and it got
- 13:16brought up and usually it's go find that guy, bring him to me
- 13:21and it was whatever Ronnie was like whatever, get that fucking
- 13:26sink put over and he was a fucking imbecile.
- 13:29He was like his thing was if you were a disrespectful and you
- 13:34knew who you were talking to, that's when he would come after
- 13:37you. He was just an 8 that didn't
- 13:39know any better. Because there was another time
- 13:41there was a fight that I was involved in with that and the
- 13:44guy was with the Lucchese family.
- 13:46And how this guy didn't know who Ronnie was blew my mind because
- 13:50Ronnie grew up with the guy's father, knew his brothers and
- 13:54everything else. And he was just and he gave him
- 13:58a we, we gave him a good beating butt.
- 14:00So once the Captain and Lucchesi family called for him, but you
- 14:07know, send Ronnie a message. Ronnie just sent back.
- 14:10Oh, it's over. I don't care because the guy
- 14:12didn't know anybody. You know, he was fucking
- 14:14disrespectful, but he was that much of an idiot because he was
- 14:19the toughest guy in the world. And after he got cracked around,
- 14:23smashed in somebody, it was in it was in a nail salon.
- 14:28Somebody told him that you don't talk to Ronnie one on like that.
- 14:32And his eyes lit up. I was standing right.
- 14:34He was like, I had no fucking idea.
- 14:36I never met. I'm shocked.
- 14:38Like he just turned in. He was the biggest tough guy in
- 14:40the world and he was supposed to be a tough guy.
- 14:42He was a big drug dealer and he turned into a puppy dog when he
- 14:46heard it was I think a woman said or somebody said it.
- 14:49And like, once you realized who it was that he was speaking to,
- 14:53he was bleeding from his lip, his mouth, he turned into a
- 14:56puppy dog. So I seen that and they seen
- 14:59that too. So you couldn't fake that.
- 15:00You couldn't. You don't go from being a tough
- 15:03guy while you're bleeding and then all of a sudden hear a name
- 15:06and become a puppy dog. You know what I mean?
- 15:08So like, it was forgotten about after that.
- 15:11Like, you know, we're just like, yeah, that was a.
- 15:14Let's clear up just in case this is the first time people have
- 15:17seen you before. Let's clear up who Ronnie was,
- 15:20who he was to just just real quick if nobody's seen you
- 15:23before. Ronnie is Ronnie one on Trukio.
- 15:26He was a Gambino captain in the Gambino crime family, probably
- 15:30one of the most powerful captains in New York City out of
- 15:33any crime family at the time. He's serving life in prison
- 15:36right now. He probably went one of the
- 15:40largest, most successful money making crews around.
- 15:45He he was he's been around, I couldn't tell you since the 70s.
- 15:51He's been in the streets his whole life.
- 15:54He got hit by a car when he was younger and it up his arm.
- 16:00So his arm never healed. So it was like a dead arm.
- 16:05So he had swear he got the nickname Ronnie one arm and he
- 16:08that when he was a kid. So he went through his life
- 16:13during the toughest parts of New York City's, the era from East
- 16:17New York into Ozone Park and still came out of maniac, a
- 16:22tough guy and most respected with one arm.
- 16:26And yeah, he was a fearsome guy. You know, he, he, he survived
- 16:31150 plus stabs to his body. You know, they try to rob a ball
- 16:36he was in. They did rob a ball.
- 16:37He was in two Hispanic guys and they stabbed them over 150 times
- 16:42and he survived. He crawled out of the bar, got
- 16:47there was a gun somewhere hidden in the bar, got the gun, crawled
- 16:51out of the bar and he was able to got he killed one of them.
- 16:54The other one got away shot. Or if they, yeah, I don't know
- 16:57if they ever caught up with the other one.
- 16:59I think they did. But yeah, he was.
- 17:03He was the epitome of a gangster.
- 17:05He was a gangster and I probably would have stood in the streets
- 17:12earning and maybe working a job and still hustling what I wanted
- 17:19to be around him. And as since I could walk, I
- 17:24seen him walking up and down 101st Ave. when I was a kid and
- 17:29the power and the fear that he put in people, I just said
- 17:34that's the guy I wanted to be around.
- 17:37That's who he was. And he was well known.
- 17:39He was well known. Ronnie, you said was a tough
- 17:42guy, obviously, right? Can you describe the scenario
- 17:46like that played out when you see Ronnie about to get into a
- 17:50violent altercation? Can you describe his demeanor,
- 17:53describe the build up and then does he swing first or?
- 17:56It oh, there was again, like I try to always compare of the
- 18:02stories because everybody's always on the outside looking in
- 18:06and then those are the stories you hear.
- 18:08And then when you're on the inside you find out that that's
- 18:12not the case whatsoever. So Ronnie was a big drinker and
- 18:18you know, people say drugs too. I was around the guy party and
- 18:21going, I've never seen him do 1 drug, but he liked to drink.
- 18:25So they used to say they become a certain time of the night.
- 18:30Ronnie would get tuned up, his eyes would go a certain way, and
- 18:36then whoever was around that might have did something wrong
- 18:40to an hour ago or three months ago was getting knocked out.
- 18:44He swung first. He was going to wreck the ball.
- 18:47And that was his reputation. Don't bother him.
- 18:50Don't go near him. He never smiled.
- 18:53He was, he wasn't a guy who smiled.
- 18:55And yeah, he was always ready for a fight.
- 18:58And he had that that knockout punch at 1:00, He was a monster.
- 19:02So he had that. Oh, yeah, yeah.
- 19:04So now I'm hanging out with him and he's drinking.
- 19:09Come to find out, being stabbed that many times in life, he
- 19:15couldn't see. And when he got drunk, he
- 19:17couldn't. He's seen even less.
- 19:20So it was him squinting or people thought that he got like
- 19:24all buggy and his eyes went great.
- 19:26No, he couldn't see. So he squinting to see who's in
- 19:29the bar, who's left in the bar, Is the guy still in the arrow
- 19:33that he's looking to crack his head open?
- 19:34Is the girl in there he's still looking to fuck?
- 19:36That's what he was doing. So for years, I'm hearing all
- 19:38these guys tell stories that his eyes would talk, going twitchy.
- 19:42He's out of his fucking mind. And then he just find the target
- 19:45and it was over. And it wasn't that he might.
- 19:48Yeah. He's looking for whoever bumped
- 19:49into him earlier that night, whoever owed the money, whoever
- 19:53should have been at the bar at that time.
- 19:55Or he's looking to grab whatever girl he's looking to grab to
- 19:58take home. You know what I mean?
- 20:00So like, you hear those stories and it's like, no, it's he gets
- 20:05tuned up and he's ready to go. But he never looked like he was
- 20:09having a good time. He never looked like he was in a
- 20:12good mood and he never smiled. And this could be 3:00 in the
- 20:14afternoon on Tuesday. Just that's how he always
- 20:17looked. It's just that when he got tuned
- 20:19up and his eyesight got worse, it was all right.
- 20:23Who's in here that I've been looking for the last three
- 20:24months has been ducking me all, you know what I mean?
- 20:27And he was always ready to get down.
- 20:30There was there's a story. Now this is me telling it second
- 20:33hand. I don't usually like to tell
- 20:35stories that I wasn't there for involved in, but this was very
- 20:39well known. They were having a meeting.
- 20:42This is when he was straightened out and Skinny Don was his
- 20:46captain. There was a bar called
- 20:48Characters and the guy that used to drive for Ronnie owned that
- 20:52bar or family owned that bar. So they set up a meeting and it
- 20:56was on Crossfade Blvd. and it was Skinny Dom Ronnie went on
- 21:01and Vinnie and Sarah. So it must have been some kind
- 21:03of Gambino banana neighborhood cuz that's most of the time it
- 21:07was either Vinnie or Ronnie. You know, in Ozone Park in Hal
- 21:12Beach, that was, you know, they were the 2 with the most power.
- 21:16You know, combos and cases didn't really hold that much
- 21:18power in Ozone Park in Hal Beach.
- 21:20So they're in the bar and whatever they have in, you know,
- 21:25sit down about or talk about between them and they never got
- 21:29along. One skinny dime is always I
- 21:32don't even like to say his name. That guy is one of the
- 21:34grouchiest guys that you've ever met.
- 21:35Never in a good mood, was always yelling at somebody again,
- 21:40Ronnie, you never seen him in a good mood and Vinnie Sarah hated
- 21:44everybody. So this is like this is.
- 21:46Just a next spot of just. Ready to blow.
- 21:49This is a disaster right waiting to happen.
- 21:52And there's some guys in the back and then Ronnie's driver
- 21:56was there as well, whose family owned the ball.
- 21:59And then there's a bunch of guys in the back shooting pool acting
- 22:03rowdy. And now I think they were from
- 22:06Rockaway because, you know, it's the connection.
- 22:09Bunch of Irish guys, if I'm not mistaken, and acting rowdy.
- 22:14There was a lot of them, more than what they had.
- 22:18And they, these are all the gentlemen.
- 22:19They're not, you know, no spring chickens.
- 22:21Ronnie might have been the youngest.
- 22:23So how don't you know who one of these guys are?
- 22:27Nevertheless, all of them, right?
- 22:29It's like, does everybody else or do does everybody else live
- 22:33in the bubble or do we live in the bubble?
- 22:35Like I never understood it because like when I left the
- 22:38life, meaning that I didn't want to live like that anymore.
- 22:43So I didn't pay attention to who's the upcoming mafia guy
- 22:46didn't live by the laws, didn't chop a debate.
- 22:49Just like leaving that life in general, not just, you know, not
- 22:53talking about the mafia, just living that kind of life.
- 22:55Like certain neighborhoods just still live that kind of life
- 22:58even if you're not in the mafia. Like, so is it they're living in
- 23:03the bubble or are they living like it's, it's just, it's hard
- 23:07to understand because I had no idea when I left that bubble
- 23:13what the fuck everybody else was talking about and doing.
- 23:16Like I felt like I had comprehension problems, but not
- 23:22reading, listening to somebody, like I needed somebody to
- 23:25explain to me what that person was saying.
- 23:28And a lot of conversations that I had with people, it's like,
- 23:32what do you like? What do you?
- 23:34And it's not like an educated conversation.
- 23:36It's just like, where did you even learn to talk like that?
- 23:39Like who even understand you? I couldn't.
- 23:42And it was a lot of people like that.
- 23:43I was talking to a CEOACEO once and I was like, do you have an
- 23:47assistant that can explain to me what you just said?
- 23:49Like I just very, very weird. So I never understood who lived
- 23:54in the bubble. Was it us or was it them?
- 23:57So they had no idea who they were.
- 24:00Right away somebody bumps in the Vinnie going to the bathroom.
- 24:04Vinnie is ready to fight at 8090 years old.
- 24:09Didn't matter. He gets into one with one of
- 24:12them. The characters was in a parking
- 24:15lot, like a mini mall, but maybe there was like one of the story
- 24:18and I bought the show. It was like a long parking lot,
- 24:20but like cars would park, but there was nobody there and they
- 24:24said, let's take it outside, Vinnie said.
- 24:27So you got Vinnie captain in the in the Bonanno family, Ronnie
- 24:31Mae guy in the Gambino family, Skinny Dom, captain in the
- 24:34Gambino family, like the most powerful guys in like the five
- 24:38boroughs go out into the parking lot to fight these six or seven
- 24:42young guys. Vinnie a sorrow is old, right?
- 24:45Yeah, he's old. How old is at this point?
- 24:47Maybe in his 60s. OK, so we're dealing with like
- 24:51an older man, Yeah. So you're talking about it was
- 24:53in the 90s. Yeah.
- 24:54So like 30 years ago. You know, that's what I'm
- 24:56saying. So what was Ronnie in his 50s?
- 25:00Maybe 50 or 4040, late 40s, whatever it was.
- 25:04And, and probably skating that was maybe a few years in
- 25:07between. He always looked old anyway.
- 25:09And then Ronnie's drive up. We're in the parking lot on now.
- 25:13This is Crosby Blvd. So if any anybody drives by and
- 25:17sees one of these guys fight, they're going to pull over and
- 25:19be like, are you nuts? And you got these 3 old guys
- 25:24fighting these 67 young guys in the parking lot of a bar at like
- 25:298:00 at night, like it's a fucking Sunday afternoon movie.
- 25:34Because a couple people did drive by.
- 25:37So I heard the story from a few different people.
- 25:40One guy got out, a girl drove by, stopped, witnessed it.
- 25:44I heard the story from that because who's rolling on the
- 25:48floor? Who's you would never see these
- 25:51guys. Like I would pay to see a video
- 25:53of guys in that posit those guys rolling around with six or seven
- 25:57young guys, right? You know what I mean?
- 26:00But again, these were guys that didn't know any better.
- 26:03But you're talking about in Howard Beach, like somebody's
- 26:08got to know or you got to say to yourself, what are three old
- 26:13guys doing in an empty bar? And they're with the guy behind
- 26:16the bar is with them. He's got to be somebody, no
- 26:20question. Of this book putting together.
- 26:22No what? They're not putting, they're not
- 26:23putting into connection. Yeah, but.
- 26:24Given how big you gotta put something, yeah, No, I know one
- 26:27of these guys is somebody. They're dressed to the nines,
- 26:29right? They're in suits.
- 26:30They're always in suits. Right.
- 26:31So doesn't that stand out to them?
- 26:33Like if they're if they're wearing like these expensive
- 26:35suits, the gold watches that like, yeah, you'd think like if
- 26:38I if Ross and I saw that wouldn't saw three old men, I'm
- 26:41not gonna. Fight old men first.
- 26:42No, I know. I I I know, but I'm just.
- 26:44Saying like they were probably our ages now it's a mob name.
- 26:47Yeah. You know that.
- 26:47Yeah. Yeah.
- 26:48Well, my age now, you know. Yeah.
- 26:49No, but I don't think skinny. I'm dressed up a lot.
- 26:53Vinny did. I don't know if that was what
- 26:56Bonnie was one of those guys. During the day he wore a sweat
- 26:58suit and the night he wore dress clothes.
- 27:00They look the part though, you know what I mean?
- 27:02That's my point. Yeah, but not even look in the
- 27:04part. You're in Howard Beach in the
- 27:0590s, right? Who else is going to be in a bar
- 27:08in Howard Beach but a connected guy?
- 27:10A knock around guy, right? Maybe a what?
- 27:13At minimum an associate, You know what I mean?
- 27:16You're not in Richmond Hill, you're in Howard B.
- 27:19So they're out there fist fighting, brawling.
- 27:21Fist fight, rolling around in the edge, fall to the parking
- 27:24lot, everything. This went on until a few people
- 27:28stopped, help them, got them up and then the cops game.
- 27:32Help to. Ronnie and OK yeah, they knew
- 27:34what it you know people drive by and you see you got to take a
- 27:38double look at stopping away. The second is that Ronnie, one
- 27:41of them rolling around 2 guys in a headlock, you know what I
- 27:45mean? Like whatever, you know, you
- 27:46just got to be, you know, you expect that from Vinny.
- 27:49Vinny used to fight all the time.
- 27:50Guy was not, you know, to the park and he's playing
- 27:53racquetball and within the first couple points of the game he's
- 27:57hitting somebody over the head with the racket.
- 27:58Are you just not, are you just like at this point, like like if
- 28:01I already know that and you know, there's a lot of tough
- 28:03guys everywhere, you know, I'm not saying like, you know,
- 28:05whatever, but why am I putting myself into position to get hit
- 28:08when the head with a racket? I'll just say I'm done for the
- 28:11day. I never under, but those are the
- 28:12guys that answer back. I'm like, you know, he's going
- 28:15to hit you over the head with something.
- 28:16Why don't you just let him win the conversation?
- 28:18Yeah, I never understand that about people.
- 28:20Why are you egging a guy on that you know you're not going to
- 28:23fight, you know you're not going to hit back and you know he's
- 28:25going to hit your head with a bull stick.
- 28:26If we're in a club or whatever we're in.
- 28:28It's like but and guys just love punishment.
- 28:32What what, what happened with that when the fight people came
- 28:35and helped Ronnie? Nothing.
- 28:37That was it. Nothing.
- 28:38Really happened. I would think like this people
- 28:40are hearing this and they're thinking these two of the most
- 28:42powerful captains at the time, right?
- 28:44You would be thinking that these guys would be running back
- 28:47wherever and calling up their guys to go kill these these
- 28:50young guys they just got to fight with because they felt the
- 28:52disrespect because you can't put your hands on a made guy, right?
- 28:54If you know he's a made guy, you know what I mean.
- 28:57And this, they took it as like, because now I'm hearing about it
- 29:03afterwards, they felt like young guys, like it was a ballroom
- 29:07brawl. No, I'm sure if somebody got
- 29:08hurt, I don't know how Skinny Dom took it, but I knew how
- 29:11Vinnie and Ronnie took it because I heard their side.
- 29:13I don't I would never ask for a private conversation with Skinny
- 29:17Dom. Yeah, but.
- 29:20But that's like Ronnie. I've seen him do that a dozen
- 29:23times. If a guy was disrespectful and
- 29:27the guy knew who he was being disrespectful to, there's no the
- 29:33end of the earth you couldn't go to get Ronnie to stop chasing
- 29:36him.
