- 0:26Speaker 1: It is time believe your worries outside and laugh with
- 0:30Speaker 1: us inside the Treehouse on Daniel Malley along with Trey
- 0:35Speaker 1: Trenholm and Raj Sharma on Tuesday, November twelfth, twenty twenty four. Welcome.
- 0:46Speaker 1: If you had the day off for Veterans Day yesterday,
- 0:48Speaker 1: I hope you enjoyed it, did something memorable, maybe did
- 0:54Speaker 1: a little something to commemorate those who observed I I
- 1:03Speaker 1: will admit, and this isn't exactly like coming out of
- 1:07Speaker 1: the closet or anything groundbreaking. I love a good monkey story.
- 1:13Speaker 1: And if there's anything that I learned from my gen
- 1:20Speaker 1: X upbringing that I think you guys did as well,
- 1:22Speaker 1: and that is we like to root for the underdog,
- 1:25Speaker 1: or in some cases, the under monkey. The other day
- 1:29Speaker 1: we were talking about the story about the monkeys who
- 1:31Speaker 1: escaped the research laboratory. I believe it was in South Carolina.
- 1:36Speaker 1: Forty three monkeys. Yeah, forty three monkeys escaped to South
- 1:40Speaker 1: Carolina research facility last week because an employee didn't fully
- 1:45Speaker 1: lock a door.
- 1:48Speaker 2: Yep.
- 1:49Speaker 1: Well, since we've talked about that, last report was twenty
- 1:54Speaker 1: five of those forty three monkeys have been recovered and
- 1:57Speaker 1: returned to the lab. Which leaves eighteen still running amuck
- 2:03Speaker 1: outside the facility. And I mentioned the movie Project X
- 2:09Speaker 1: from the eighties. That's where they were. I think it
- 2:11Speaker 1: was like the Monkey Space program. They were testing the
- 2:14Speaker 1: monkeys and trying to get them to send to space
- 2:16Speaker 1: and fly and all this stuff. And if memory serves me,
- 2:20Speaker 1: which it rarely does, because I have a poor memory
- 2:22Speaker 1: because I ran into a wooden playground equipment as a child,
- 2:26Speaker 1: Matthew Broderick and Sarah Jessica Parker, okay, look at me,
- 2:32Speaker 1: go if that's correct, and if it's not, just let
- 2:36Speaker 1: me roll for now. And they saved the monkey. They
- 2:39Speaker 1: saved the monkeys at the end, or at least they
- 2:41Speaker 1: try to. And that was what I learned. And my
- 2:43Speaker 1: gen X upbringing is to help the little guy, or
- 2:46Speaker 1: in this case, help the little monkey escape the dirty,
- 2:48Speaker 1: dirty research facility. I want these monkeys to be free.
- 2:55Speaker 1: Because I will also admit that while I appreciate scientific
- 3:01Speaker 1: research on other beings for my benefit, I don't want
- 3:05Speaker 1: to see it, hear about it, know about it. And
- 3:08Speaker 1: I certainly think it's a travesty to test cosmetics on
- 3:12Speaker 1: animals becods. That's just ridiculous.
- 3:14Speaker 2: Mm hmm but you want free range macaques. That is
- 3:18Speaker 2: your solution too.
- 3:19Speaker 1: Look, it's a delicate balance. There's this world. I mean,
- 3:23Speaker 1: it's it's good, it's evil, it's it's science, it's art.
- 3:30Speaker 3: But but out out of the eighties where most people, uh,
- 3:36Speaker 3: you know, if you talked about eighties movies and monkeys
- 3:38Speaker 3: would hearten back to Sydney, Sigourney Weavers, you know, amazing
- 3:43Speaker 3: performance and gorillas in the myths during Jane Goodall and
- 3:47Speaker 3: but yours is as Project X with Matthew Matthew product
- 3:51Speaker 3: Proderick Hey.
- 3:52Speaker 2: He met Sarah Jessica Parker on the film. They fell
- 3:55Speaker 2: in love and they have been happily married since. Uh
- 3:59Speaker 2: so there was I mean, yeah, a crap movie, but
- 4:02Speaker 2: a but a beautiful.
- 4:03Speaker 1: Outcome and a and a gorgeous message.
- 4:06Speaker 2: Yes, that you can find love on the set of
- 4:08Speaker 2: a monkey movie.
- 4:14Speaker 1: Well, Sarah Jessica Parker, I mean she could have fallen
- 4:17Speaker 1: in love with that Lawrence kid On girls just want
- 4:19Speaker 1: to have fun. But I guess that wasn't in the cards. Honestly,
- 4:23Speaker 1: TRADE don't know. If I saw all of gorillas in
- 4:26Speaker 1: the mist, I think that was I think I think
- 4:29Speaker 1: in the O'Malley household. That night we hit the we
- 4:31Speaker 1: hit the video store on the way home because we
- 4:33Speaker 1: always got like a stack of videos for the weekend,
- 4:35Speaker 1: and Friday night was typically we would start with the
- 4:38Speaker 1: family film so I could watch it. That would have
- 4:42Speaker 1: been the Project X, I guess, and then the movie
- 4:45Speaker 1: that came on after that into the into the VCR
- 4:49Speaker 1: would have been the more adult one, and I usually
- 4:51Speaker 1: fell asleep early in that because I was just tired. Well,
- 4:56Speaker 1: I think we had the Monkey double feature. We started
- 4:58Speaker 1: with Project X and then they put on Gorillas in
- 5:01Speaker 1: the Mist and it was it was very sleepy for
- 5:03Speaker 1: little meat walk.
- 5:04Speaker 3: If there was another Monkey movie, it was every which
- 5:06Speaker 3: way but lose fore you come on.
- 5:07Speaker 1: I mean I watched that at my papa's house.
- 5:10Speaker 3: I mean, let's be honest. The reason why you didn't
- 5:12Speaker 3: see Gorilla in the Miss is because it was a
- 5:13Speaker 3: good movie.
- 5:14Speaker 2: Yeah. I was gonna say, if it was like Gorilla's
- 5:16Speaker 2: in the Myst Versus Jason, you would watch that like
- 5:20Speaker 2: Freddy versus Jane Goodall, Like you would watch that movie.
- 5:23Speaker 1: Absolutely, do you not hear yourself? It is blockbuster written
- 5:28Speaker 1: all over it.
- 5:29Speaker 2: Yes, it has Blockbuster video written all over it, and
- 5:31Speaker 2: they're out of business, like that's why you fell asleep.
- 5:35Speaker 2: It is because it was a damn good movie.
- 5:38Speaker 3: I was.
- 5:38Speaker 1: Also, I'm gonna look this up, but I guarantee you
- 5:41Speaker 1: I was. I bet I was like five or six
- 5:43Speaker 1: years old when Gorillas in the Mist came out, So
- 5:47Speaker 1: I was eight.
- 5:48Speaker 3: It came out in nineteen eighty eight, so I believe
- 5:50Speaker 3: it's okay.
- 5:51Speaker 1: So yeah, I would have been about eight years old,
- 5:53Speaker 1: you know. Keep I saw Jaws at the age of five,
- 5:56Speaker 1: and that kept me awake for sure. But I mean
- 6:00Speaker 1: Rillas in the myst didn't have the same story that
- 6:02Speaker 1: Project X did. I mean Project X had flying monkeys, well,
- 6:06Speaker 1: monkeys who could fly, well, monkeys piloting things. Yeah, flying monkeys.
- 6:13Speaker 1: I just would have been Wizard of Oz.
- 6:15Speaker 2: Yeah. And this is a movie about a wonderful lady
- 6:17Speaker 2: who gave up her life to help gorillas and communicate
- 6:23Speaker 2: with them and teach them how to communicate back. It
- 6:26Speaker 2: was just a just a all around beautiful movie.
- 6:28Speaker 1: So I can see where you would you said beautiful,
- 6:31Speaker 1: I heard boring.
- 6:32Speaker 2: Yeah, that's that's right. Now. Had the at the end,
- 6:36Speaker 2: had the gorillas eaten Jane Goodall, I think it would
- 6:39Speaker 2: have kepture.
- 6:41Speaker 1: Oh that would have been a fun twist.
- 6:43Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, not for Jane, but for but for little Danny,
- 6:47Speaker 2: Uh who I would have Yeah.
- 6:50Speaker 1: I do want to use this as as an inspiration
- 6:52Speaker 1: because I do think it's important that while we are
- 6:55Speaker 1: inside the treehouse, uh physically we have we have our
- 6:58Speaker 1: dear dear listeners that are are metaphorically inside the treehouse
- 7:02Speaker 1: figuratively inside the treehouse with us, and I want to
- 7:04Speaker 1: give I want to give one of our listeners a
- 7:05Speaker 1: chance to be a little bit deeper inside the treehouse
- 7:08Speaker 1: with us, because one of our dear dear listeners has
- 7:11Speaker 1: decided to throw a versus at us. Oh that's the
- 7:14Speaker 1: wrong button. Hang on mmmm, I gotta change the colors
- 7:22Speaker 1: on those. Well, all right, it's time for a Listener
- 7:27Speaker 1: provided verses inside the Treehouse. Jay on our ex Twitter
- 7:31Speaker 1: account has proposed to us a versus okay, based on
- 7:40Speaker 1: based on the escape monkeys from the research facility, would
- 7:43Speaker 1: you rather the outcome be the movie Outbreak or Planet
- 7:49Speaker 1: of the Apes? So, in today's version of verses, listener,
- 7:53Speaker 1: provided the monkey escape from the research facility, would you
- 7:58Speaker 1: rather that result in the plot in real life being
- 8:02Speaker 1: Outbreak or Planet of the Apes. M. Yes, Stray, your
- 8:10Speaker 1: hand is up? Or is that like?
- 8:14Speaker 2: Or?
- 8:14Speaker 1: Is that like a monkey salute?
- 8:16Speaker 2: No?
- 8:16Speaker 3: Are we having to live in the town where the
- 8:18Speaker 3: Outbreak took place?
- 8:20Speaker 1: Yes, you basically get trans like the monkey escape happens.
- 8:23Speaker 1: Would you rather live in Outbreak the movie or live
- 8:27Speaker 1: in Planet of the Apes?
- 8:31Speaker 2: Hm?
- 8:31Speaker 1: Hmmm, I don't want to break your brains here.
- 8:35Speaker 2: No I would. I would go with the Planet of
- 8:37Speaker 2: the Apes.
- 8:38Speaker 1: Interesting. Why is that.
- 8:40Speaker 2: Because the disease in Outbreak was like horrific? Right it
- 8:45Speaker 2: Isn't it like it was a very long and arduous
- 8:47Speaker 2: way to die, where as opposed to you know what,
- 8:52Speaker 2: I have the gift of gab, and I could make
- 8:55Speaker 2: friends with the monkeys that have now taken over gotcha? Okay,
- 8:59Speaker 2: so I think I could win over their hearts and minds, gotcha?
- 9:03Speaker 1: Not a little bit of a solid crowd work can't accomplish.
- 9:07Speaker 2: You know, I have some I have some monkey humor.
- 9:09Speaker 2: You know, spent time in India. I know Hinduism has
- 9:13Speaker 2: a monkey god. Oh so I'm already used to worshiping
- 9:17Speaker 2: a monkey god. What's what's forty two?
- 9:19Speaker 1: More?
- 9:20Speaker 2: Sure? Ray?
- 9:21Speaker 1: What about you? Are you going with the plot of
- 9:22Speaker 1: Outbreak to Live or Planet of the Apes.
- 9:26Speaker 3: I'm gonna go with Outbreak.
- 9:28Speaker 1: Interesting. Why is that.
- 9:30Speaker 3: Because one of your things are gonna happen. Either they're
- 9:32Speaker 3: going to find the vaccine or they're going to bomb
- 9:34Speaker 3: the town. Either way, it's over pretty quick.
- 9:36Speaker 1: That's a good point.
- 9:37Speaker 2: That is true.
- 9:38Speaker 1: That is true, That is excellent. I'm gonna go with
- 9:40Speaker 1: I'm gonna go with the Planet of the Apes version
- 9:43Speaker 1: mainly because I feel like we've had a good run
- 9:45Speaker 1: and I want to see what the monkeys can do
- 9:47Speaker 1: with it.
- 9:52Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what I'm I I would kind of want
- 9:55Speaker 2: to see that too, Like, let's see what you guys
- 9:57Speaker 2: now that you can you have you know, you can think,
- 10:00Speaker 2: speak and articulate. Uh, what do you see wrong with things?
- 10:03Speaker 2: And how would you fix it as opposed to like
- 10:06Speaker 2: sores and and and oozing pussing things before the town
- 10:11Speaker 2: gets bombed or uh they find a vaccine And now
- 10:14Speaker 2: my face looks like Edward James almost uh, And so yeah,
- 10:18Speaker 2: nobody wants that. No, I'd rather have the monkeys ruling
- 10:22Speaker 2: things than the pock.
- 10:24Speaker 1: Riddled I did. I'll admit I did not expect an
- 10:30Speaker 1: Edward James almost reference to h no Won. Yeah, yeah,
- 10:35Speaker 1: you never do. But then there he is.
- 10:42Speaker 4: You're in the Visit us online at Freehouse on Air
- 10:46Speaker 4: dot com.
- 10:52Speaker 1: Time out, I talk to Daniel Cook from COOKDFW Roofing
- 10:55Speaker 1: and Restoration for your free roof inspection and to get
- 10:58Speaker 1: on the cook list call it three three cook DFW
- 11:01Speaker 1: the website cookdfw dot com. The other day, Daniel, we
- 11:04Speaker 1: were talking and you mentioned critters in the attic. I
- 11:07Speaker 1: have to admit at one point in my life I
- 11:09Speaker 1: lived with some friends and in their roof they had
- 11:13Speaker 1: critters in the attic, specifically horny raccoons.
- 11:16Speaker 5: Dan.
- 11:16Speaker 6: That happens a lot, especially in areas that have a
- 11:20Speaker 6: lot of trees, you know, vegetation, water sources, perfect areas
- 11:27Speaker 6: for you know, our night creatures and squirrels and rats
- 11:30Speaker 6: and all kinds of stuff.
- 11:31Speaker 1: Because they're just like us.
- 11:32Speaker 6: They don't want to be cold, they will don't want
- 11:35Speaker 6: to be wet. They are looking for safety and they're
- 11:38Speaker 6: looking for warmth, and that's that's where they're going to go.
- 11:41Speaker 6: Majority of the time is in little cracks around your roofline.
- 11:45Speaker 6: They could be on the side of your siding going
- 11:47Speaker 6: up into your cornices. Trevor, one of our project managers,
- 11:52Speaker 6: just went out the other day and had to fix
- 11:54Speaker 6: a hole going into someone's front of the porch because
- 11:58Speaker 6: they actually did have a family rack uns that had
- 12:01Speaker 6: gone up there and made their babies and you know,
- 12:05Speaker 6: and they didn't want to come backing in and so
- 12:07Speaker 6: then they we had to go out there and fix
- 12:08Speaker 6: those holes and get those closed up and seal them up.
- 12:12Speaker 6: And not only that, I mean, it just gives you
- 12:14Speaker 6: more areas that you know, you could cause more damage
- 12:17Speaker 6: to your property. And so you know, there's so many
- 12:20Speaker 6: things that you know, you do not want rodents of
- 12:23Speaker 6: any kind, you know, trapped in your attic or running around.
- 12:26Speaker 1: So yeah, let us come out. We can do an assessment.
- 12:30Speaker 6: We're not the best exterminators or trappers, but we can
- 12:33Speaker 6: definitely hopefully seal that up to where they won't be
- 12:35Speaker 6: able to get back in there.
- 12:37Speaker 1: If you have or even suspect you have raccoons in
- 12:40Speaker 1: your cornices, you call Dan. You'll cook from COOKDFW Roofing
- 12:44Speaker 1: and Restoration. I learned a new word today. Eight three
- 12:47Speaker 1: three Cook DFW eight three three COOKDFW or the website
- 12:50Speaker 1: cookdfw dot com.
- 12:57Speaker 4: You're in the tree House sit us online on Treehouse

- 13:22Speaker 1: Treehouse is driven five days a week by Fairlease. Go
- 13:24Speaker 1: to the website fairlease dot Org. All right, Trey, Uh,
- 13:28Speaker 1: we apparently put out some misinformation or disinformation or we
- 13:32Speaker 1: were just wrong. I was totally wrong about Project X.
- 13:35Speaker 3: Yes, that was not Sarah Jessica Parker in that movie.
- 13:39Speaker 3: It was a Helen Hunt.
- 13:41Speaker 1: Oh interesting.
- 13:42Speaker 3: Matthew Broddock was in it, right, Yes, Matthew Broddock. Was
- 13:45Speaker 3: it that they actually didn't meet until like nineteen ninety one?
- 13:50Speaker 2: Was that only a set of inspector gadget? No?
- 13:53Speaker 3: Actually there's a set something on Broadway.
- 13:57Speaker 2: Oh interesting?
- 13:57Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, yeah, Well, once again my brain has betrayed me.
- 14:03Speaker 1: I guess I just assumed for some reason. I I
- 14:07Speaker 1: feel bad. I need to apologize to Helen Hunt, Helen Hut.
- 14:09Speaker 1: I'm sorry her careers turned out really, really nicely despite
- 14:13Speaker 1: her being in that film, and I apologize for misremembering
- 14:17Speaker 1: her and Sarah Jessica Parker's I mean, as you heard,
- 14:22Speaker 1: I remember Sarah Jessica Parker in his day and girls
- 14:24Speaker 1: just want to have fun, which I think Helen Hunt
- 14:29Speaker 1: was in that.
- 14:30Speaker 3: I mean, do you remember square pegs? That's the question.
- 14:34Speaker 1: From p E class. Yeah, yeah, you had to put
- 14:38Speaker 1: the pegs on the board and work your way up. Yeah.
- 14:40Speaker 1: I was never any good at that. I couldn't do it.
- 14:43Speaker 2: Okay, I don't think that's what See. Sometimes I wonder, Dan,
- 14:46Speaker 2: had you not hit the building, what what would.
- 14:50Speaker 1: Have happened when you hit the building?
- 14:52Speaker 2: When you say playground equipment, you need to you need
- 14:55Speaker 2: to tell people what it was. It was somebody's woodshed
- 14:59Speaker 2: or log cabin or something that it was.
- 15:01Speaker 1: It was a piece of wooden playground equipment in the
- 15:04Speaker 1: middle of the playground.
- 15:06Speaker 2: That hadn't just one and just one entrance and exit.
- 15:10Speaker 2: Just you just went straight through.
- 15:12Speaker 1: That was that was my game. Yeah, I was going
- 15:14Speaker 1: to run from one side straight through because the other
- 15:16Speaker 1: two sides had the other two sides had bars on them.
- 15:20Speaker 3: Did it have orange cones around it, caution tape anything.
- 15:27Speaker 1: It was in the middle of the playground. It was
- 15:29Speaker 1: like there just to play with it. It's next to
- 15:30Speaker 1: next to slides and things.
- 15:32Speaker 2: Was anybody else doing this? Did you? Were you following
- 15:35Speaker 2: someone else's lead? Like, oh my god, yeah, let's see.
- 15:40Speaker 2: So so I think like, had you not hit it,
- 15:42Speaker 2: Like in my head sometimes I think, like what kind
- 15:45Speaker 2: of scholar you would have been, Like it would have
- 15:47Speaker 2: been like doctor O'Malley or you know, Dane O'Malley. pH
- 15:52Speaker 2: d uh.
- 15:55Speaker 3: Did did the guardians at the adoption center and the
- 15:57Speaker 3: white lab coats did they tell you to run into that?
- 16:00Speaker 3: Wouldn't the thing?
- 16:02Speaker 2: No?
- 16:03Speaker 1: I think they let me come to that conclusion on
- 16:05Speaker 1: my own.
- 16:05Speaker 5: Yea.
- 16:07Speaker 3: So were they stribling?
- 16:09Speaker 1: What's that?
- 16:10Speaker 3: Were they scribbling notes furiously as you did it?
- 16:13Speaker 1: Yeah? I think that was what kept me out of
- 16:15Speaker 1: the flying Monkey program. They not smart enough to pilot
- 16:19Speaker 1: next to these apes.
- 16:21Speaker 2: Right right when it happened, like right when you hit,
- 16:23Speaker 2: did you look over and like like they just kind
- 16:24Speaker 2: of started knocking down some money off the price of
- 16:27Speaker 2: the adoption Like were you were you discounted to that
- 16:29Speaker 2: point like twenty percent off? Like final sale just said
- 16:35Speaker 2: no take back, sis. I don't know how it worked
- 16:37Speaker 2: on the adoption.
- 16:38Speaker 1: That's where they sent me to the ninety nine cent
- 16:40Speaker 1: only uh rescue kidd store.
- 16:45Speaker 2: Like you were full price O'Malley, uh and then you
- 16:48Speaker 2: hit that thing and they're like, ah, we got a
- 16:49Speaker 2: knock forty percent of this off.
- 16:51Speaker 1: But yeah, yeah, gold took a beating, by the way,
- 16:58Speaker 1: despite me running headfirst into and playground equipment, affecting my
- 17:01Speaker 1: monetary value to my family. Helen Hunt was indeed in
- 17:06Speaker 1: Girls Just Want to have Fun with Sarah Jessica Parker's
- 17:09Speaker 1: so you both.
- 17:11Speaker 2: You created a new game that nobody wants to play.
- 17:13Speaker 2: Six Degrees of Matthew Brodwick.
- 17:18Speaker 1: This feels more like six Degrees of Project X. But yeah,
- 17:21Speaker 1: that's just tyme damn thing.
- 17:25Speaker 2: Well, I never saw it was Girls Just want to
- 17:28Speaker 2: have Fun based on the hit Cindy Lamper song.
- 17:31Speaker 1: It's sort of I think it was. I mean, I'm
- 17:33Speaker 1: looking at this. It came out. I think it was
- 17:35Speaker 1: eighty eight as well.
- 17:36Speaker 2: Let's see.
- 17:39Speaker 1: No, I'm sorry this came out in nineteen eighty five,
- 17:42Speaker 1: but listen to the cast. Girls just want to have
- 17:44Speaker 1: fun and keep in mind This was not my selection.
- 17:46Speaker 1: I have an older sister who's six and a half
- 17:49Speaker 1: years older than me, So that's why I know this film.
- 17:51Speaker 1: I didn't have a choice in the matter. But listen
- 17:54Speaker 1: to this cast while we're at it. We've got Sarah
- 17:57Speaker 1: Jessica Parker, Helen Hunt and Doherty hm hmm uh, Lee
- 18:03Speaker 1: Montgomery who looks like one of the Lawrence uh uh boys,
- 18:07Speaker 1: but he's not. And Jonathan Silverman.
- 18:11Speaker 2: So, oh, well, you have it. Okay. That was a
- 18:13Speaker 2: all star lineup in the in the mid eighties.
- 18:17Speaker 1: Yeah, it was sort of like like two or three
- 18:20Speaker 1: steps below the brat Pack.
- 18:24Speaker 2: This is a discount Brad Pat brad Pack. Yeah. Yeah,
- 18:28Speaker 2: that's a That's a solid lineup for the for the
- 18:31Speaker 2: mid eighties. They could have added like a cameo by
- 18:33Speaker 2: Boy George or Wham and just shot it over the top,
- 18:35Speaker 2: but I don't.
- 18:36Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't think they had to budget for it.
- 18:37Speaker 1: They had Jonathan Silverman. So while I did run headfirst
- 18:44Speaker 1: into playground equipment as a child, I apparently have not
- 18:47Speaker 1: learned my lesson because even as an adult, I still
- 18:50Speaker 1: put myself through punishing things that I think are good ideas.
- 18:53Speaker 1: Because I tried yoga again recently, And I told you
- 18:58Speaker 1: guys about the first time I tried to hear yars
- 19:00Speaker 1: ago with my wife. We were doing the the P
- 19:02Speaker 1: ninety X yoga in the living room and I was
- 19:05Speaker 1: doing some sort of like prayer twist thing with a
- 19:07Speaker 1: lunge to the right and I got stuck right. Well,
- 19:11Speaker 1: it kind of happened again. So we went to a
- 19:15Speaker 1: yoga class recently. It was called Hatha yoga.
- 19:18Speaker 2: I thought, was that, like, it's it's Indian.
- 19:22Speaker 1: It's well, yeah, it's right. I didn't want to is
- 19:24Speaker 1: that Indian for hot yoga? Is? When I asked her
- 19:26Speaker 1: and she said no, she wasn't sure what it was.
- 19:28Speaker 1: And I said, is it? Is it cold yoga? Because
- 19:31Speaker 1: Hatha like hath star wars empire strikes back. And then
- 19:34Speaker 1: she rolled her eyes and then left the room. But
- 19:37Speaker 1: I got stuck again. I got I was in like
- 19:41Speaker 1: I was seated right, and then you take your uh
- 19:45Speaker 1: you sit cross legged, almost got almost got almost got
- 19:50Speaker 1: canceled there. I was sitting cross legged and then you
- 19:53Speaker 1: take your right foot and you put it up so
- 19:56Speaker 1: your knee is up. And then you take that right
- 19:58Speaker 1: foot and put it on the outside of your left knee. Okay,
- 20:01Speaker 1: well I'm not that flexible, so it just stayed in
- 20:03Speaker 1: front of my left knee. And then you're supposed to
- 20:06Speaker 1: turn twist to the right, right, so you're stretching over
- 20:10Speaker 1: that right hip and your butt and all that stuff. Well,
- 20:14Speaker 1: problem is is, I'm not very flexible, and I've not
- 20:16Speaker 1: been to a yoga class in a year, and so
- 20:21Speaker 1: when I got into this position where I was trying
- 20:23Speaker 1: to get into, it was like here, just I'm gonna
- 20:27Speaker 1: try and get it.
- 20:28Speaker 2: And then.
- 20:31Speaker 1: And then I had a cramp. Then I had a
- 20:33Speaker 1: cramp from hell, and I am still sore in my
- 20:37Speaker 1: hip flexer. My hip flexer cramped up on me so
- 20:40Speaker 1: bad it felt like fire going down my thigh. That
- 20:45Speaker 1: was two days ago, and I'm it still hurts when
- 20:48Speaker 1: I just try to raise my leg.
- 20:50Speaker 2: See, and this is for this is just for our listeners.
- 20:53Speaker 2: So you know they say that, you know, not all
- 20:56Speaker 2: Latin men can danse, not all black people can sing.
- 20:58Speaker 2: This just goes to say, not all white people can
- 21:00Speaker 2: do yoga, even though you guys try so desperately hard
- 21:05Speaker 2: to do it. Uh, if you just next time you
- 21:07Speaker 2: go into yoga class, look around. If there's no Indians there. Leave. Uh.
- 21:13Speaker 2: If we're not there and we invented it, Uh, it's
- 21:15Speaker 2: it's not a good class. I'm just I'm just saying like,
- 21:19Speaker 2: if you're if you're if you're a white instructor, you
- 21:22Speaker 2: know Davy Shanty shows up and and wants to mustay
- 21:25Speaker 2: the class. Uh, just you know, just stay in, Just
- 21:28Speaker 2: stay in, child's pose for the whole class.
- 21:30Speaker 1: How did you know his name? Did you see the
- 21:35Speaker 1: sign up online? As well?
- 21:40Speaker 2: He spent time in an ashram in in India. That's
- 21:44Speaker 2: that was his claim to fame, instead of saying he
- 21:48Speaker 2: was poor and lost in India, was like he found himself. No, no,
- 21:53Speaker 2: you didn't. You ran out of money, that's what That's
- 21:55Speaker 2: what happened. And yoga saved your life.
- 21:58Speaker 1: When begging on the streets of Mumbai. Just get out.
- 22:04Speaker 2: Yeah, how'd you learn yoga? I was broke in Mumbai.
- 22:09Speaker 2: That's how I learned yoga. Uh yeah, I I've done.
- 22:13Speaker 2: I've been to yoga class, I've been to hot I've
- 22:15Speaker 2: been to Vinyasta flows and I've been to hot to
- 22:17Speaker 2: yoga and to all those things. And I know I'm good.
- 22:22Speaker 2: I know we invented it. But it's hard. It's not
- 22:25Speaker 2: a it's not it's not it's not easy. So I
- 22:27Speaker 2: understand your your plight and your pain.
- 22:30Speaker 1: It was pain. It's like I said, it's still hurts.
- 22:33Speaker 2: Yeah, and you're a stocky fella, so it's not really
- 22:35Speaker 2: If you looking around the room, there's probably not people
- 22:37Speaker 2: your size.
- 22:38Speaker 1: I'm not built for yoga, No, I'm ironically, I'm built
- 22:42Speaker 1: exactly like the wooden structure I ran headfirst into when
- 22:46Speaker 1: I was five. Maybe that's how I got my shade.
- 22:54Speaker 7: You're listening to the Treehouse.

- 23:22Speaker 1: to help us with some issues, and your response time

- 23:28Speaker 1: It was because that's the kind of company you run.
- 23:30Speaker 1: You go out of your way trying to help every
- 23:33Speaker 1: client and try to get there as soon as you can.
- 23:35Speaker 8: Well, I mean the reality of it is is that
- 23:38Speaker 8: plumbing is unfortunately a need and not so much a want. Yes,
- 23:41Speaker 8: you can want to remodel the bathroom and that's not pressing,
- 23:45Speaker 8: but typically when it comes to service or leak investigations, et.
- 23:49Speaker 4: Cetera, et cetera.
- 23:50Speaker 8: If you've got to stoppage on the mainline and you
- 23:53Speaker 8: don't know and you keep putting liquid or you know,
- 23:57Speaker 8: waste into the drains, if it has nowhere to go,
- 24:01Speaker 8: we'll come back in the house. And at that point
- 24:04Speaker 8: in time, it's no longer a want, it's a need,
- 24:07Speaker 8: and that sort of thing can't wait. When you have
- 24:10Speaker 8: those emergencies, you have got to figure out how to
- 24:13Speaker 8: manage the crew so that you can have the best

- 25:05Speaker 1: I have a very big question to ask of you
- 25:07Speaker 1: this morning. Are either of you never poopers?
- 25:14Speaker 2: I don't. I will need more context.
- 25:17Speaker 1: Okay, I will happily provide you with said context. According
- 25:21Speaker 1: to a recent survey, one in twelve employees have never
- 25:25Speaker 1: pooped at work. So I will ask you again, Trey Raj,
- 25:31Speaker 1: are either of you never poopers?
- 25:35Speaker 2: I don't have a typical office job, but I have
- 25:40Speaker 2: used the bathroom in comedy clubs before.
- 25:43Speaker 1: So that would make you someone who poops at work.
- 25:45Speaker 1: Like you've got the Laugh Factory, you're you know, pooping? No,
- 25:48Speaker 1: I would never prov you're pooping.
- 25:50Speaker 2: I don't think I've ever pooped to the Laugh Factory.
- 25:53Speaker 2: That's there. That building has been there since like the twenties,
- 25:56Speaker 2: so I don't trust they're plumbing. Okay, so I would
- 26:00Speaker 2: and I only lived like seventeen minutes away, so if
- 26:02Speaker 2: it was that bad, I would have just gone back home.
- 26:05Speaker 2: It's also like who poops in a bar like that?
- 26:07Speaker 2: That takes a different level of alcohol consumption to be
- 26:10Speaker 2: able to do that.
- 26:11Speaker 1: A desperate person that too. Yes, so I.
- 26:14Speaker 2: Would say I have comedy clubs throughout the country. Yes,
- 26:18Speaker 2: when I've been at work, and most green rooms will
- 26:21Speaker 2: have their own private bathroom.
- 26:22Speaker 1: So I have done that, Tray, What about you? Are
- 26:25Speaker 1: of you and I had an office together for many
- 26:28Speaker 1: many years at a radio station, and I, while I
- 26:31Speaker 1: remember you farting in the office a bunch, I don't
- 26:34Speaker 1: recall if whether or not you pooped at.
- 26:36Speaker 3: Work only in an emergency. I mean I didn't like
- 26:45Speaker 3: because just because the bathrooms there were fairly nasty.
- 26:49Speaker 1: But it was full of radio people.
- 26:51Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly. Working in bars isn't much better.
- 26:55Speaker 2: So I.
- 26:57Speaker 3: Can't say I am a never pooper, but I we'll
- 27:00Speaker 3: say I've only do it in an absolute emergency.
- 27:05Speaker 1: Gotcha. I had no problem with it. I'm fine with it.
- 27:08Speaker 1: Like the way I see it is, it's it's part
- 27:11Speaker 1: of the me using all of the space that I'm
- 27:16Speaker 1: expected to use. It's kind of like, well, I'm gonna
- 27:19Speaker 1: use the toilet paper, I'm gonna use the paper towels,
- 27:22Speaker 1: I'm gonna use all this stuff. I'm gonna drink all
- 27:23Speaker 1: the coffee. Even when they when they tried charging us
- 27:26Speaker 1: for it, and when they when they tried charging us
- 27:30Speaker 1: for it, they tried to say, no, you can only
- 27:31Speaker 1: put one pouch in there. Well, that tasted terrible, so
- 27:35Speaker 1: I put two anyways, and they put two in there.
- 27:38Speaker 1: You it makes you need to go number two? But yes,
- 27:41Speaker 1: a new survey on bathroom habits at work, some people
- 27:45Speaker 1: are spending a lot more time in the can than others.
- 27:47Speaker 1: One in twelve employees claim they have never gone number
- 27:51Speaker 1: two at work. Thirty four percent of those are scared
- 27:54Speaker 1: to do that. M I've been in a few bathrooms
- 27:59Speaker 1: where I can understand that. But if you work in
- 28:01Speaker 1: a place where you're that terrified of the bathroom, I
- 28:03Speaker 1: think maybe it's time to fill out a complaint form
- 28:06Speaker 1: or talk to HR. Nearly one in five employees refuse
- 28:09Speaker 1: to poop at work unless it's absolutely necessary, and one
- 28:12Speaker 1: in four choose to hold it in all day and
- 28:14Speaker 1: wait until they get home. You gotta be careful with that.
- 28:17Speaker 1: That's not healthy.
- 28:18Speaker 2: Yeah, I think that's maybe why, like hr people are
- 28:20Speaker 2: so mad. You know, if you think about it, if
- 28:26Speaker 2: they would just poop, maybe they would maybe they would
- 28:29Speaker 2: be a little more pleasant.
- 28:31Speaker 1: Oh h people.
- 28:32Speaker 3: Yeah, did it give a break a gender breakdown? Male
- 28:37Speaker 3: female on this because I feel like that women are
- 28:41Speaker 3: far more likely to hold try to hold it, or
- 28:43Speaker 3: not do it at work.
- 28:45Speaker 1: They did find, I don't see the exact numbers, but
- 28:48Speaker 1: they do say here that women are far more likely
- 28:51Speaker 1: to dislike pooping at work compared to men.
- 28:56Speaker 2: Gotcha. I mean the when I did have an office,
- 29:00Speaker 2: the buildings that we were the two building went off
- 29:02Speaker 2: Hillcrest and went off of belt Line, very nice bathrooms,
- 29:06Speaker 2: very nice offices, very nice bathrooms. And then we also
- 29:09Speaker 2: had a bathroom inside of our office in the breakroom
- 29:13Speaker 2: area that was very very nice and very clean. So yeah,
- 29:17Speaker 2: I mean I didn't have an issue with it. Now
- 29:19Speaker 2: if it's like, you know, if it's a bathroom but
- 29:21Speaker 2: it looks like the inside of a porta potti at
- 29:23Speaker 2: a you know, led Zeppelin concert, the no, I wouldn't.
- 29:27Speaker 2: I would I would hold it. I'm not much of
- 29:30Speaker 2: a hover. I don't know how that works. But no,
- 29:35Speaker 2: I mean, but I've also used the bathroom in India,
- 29:38Speaker 2: so I don't know how I feel about there's there
- 29:44Speaker 2: is a there's a conflict there.
- 29:47Speaker 1: So it's like those awkward bathroom exchanges when you're trying
- 29:50Speaker 1: to like flirt with the the individual in the stall
- 29:53Speaker 1: next to you with doing a little foot thing underneath
- 29:55Speaker 1: the partition. Except when you do the flot thing, it's
- 29:58Speaker 1: like a cobrat hall slinking back.
- 30:01Speaker 2: Yeah, if you were to because it's a squat toilet,
- 30:03Speaker 2: so if you were trying to do the foot thing,
- 30:05Speaker 2: you would just fall ask first into the hole.
- 30:08Speaker 1: Well you know how You know what happens to me
- 30:10Speaker 1: when I do yoga, So I don't think you want
- 30:11Speaker 1: to see see me anywhere near one of those squat holes.
- 30:14Speaker 2: Of course, I had to leave him in India.
- 30:17Speaker 1: He's still squatty. Couldn't get him up.
- 30:19Speaker 2: He's stuck. He's just gonna poop forever. That's all it is.
- 30:23Speaker 2: He lives there.
- 30:24Speaker 1: He was he managed to get down, but he can't
- 30:27Speaker 1: get back up. He got you wore out the life
- 30:29Speaker 1: alert around.
- 30:31Speaker 2: He got down, started to poop that a cramp. He
- 30:33Speaker 2: lives there. Now, that's what.
- 30:36Speaker 1: It's pretty bad when when you going to help your
- 30:38Speaker 1: buddy and I respond, would just leave me here? Save yourself?
- 30:45Speaker 1: Tell my family I love them.
- 30:52Speaker 4: You're in these Visit us online at Freehouse on air

- 31:17Speaker 1: That previous segment of the Treehouse brought to you by
- 31:19Speaker 1: Brooks Plumbing. For any and all of your plumbing wants
- 31:21Speaker 1: and needs, call Jaqueline at Brooks Plumbing the number two
- 31:24Speaker 1: one fourth, three six eight thirty eight thirty eight. That's
- 31:27Speaker 1: two one four three six eight thirty eight thirty eight.
- 31:29Speaker 1: The website Brooks Plumbingtexas dot com. That is Brooks Plumbingtexas
- 31:33Speaker 1: dot com. All right, Trey and Raj back in the Treehouse. Now,
- 31:37Speaker 1: you guys are familiar with Gilligan's Island in the song
- 31:40Speaker 1: it goes Uh, it was a three hour tour. They
- 31:42Speaker 1: got lost and strained on an island for years. Right,
- 31:45Speaker 1: m hm, hold on to that memory. A three hour tour?
- 31:49Speaker 1: H would you consider a four year tour?
- 31:55Speaker 2: Uh? This is uh the cruise ship.
- 31:59Speaker 1: I believe yes, So for those that are so disheartened
- 32:03Speaker 1: by the result of any election, people inevitably say that's it.
- 32:09Speaker 1: I'm leaving, I'm not coming back, or I'm leaving while
- 32:12Speaker 1: this person's in office and I'm not coming back till
- 32:14Speaker 1: they're gone. Well, if you no judgments here, if you
- 32:20Speaker 1: are so disheartened by the outcome of the election, there
- 32:23Speaker 1: is an option for you, and it is a four
- 32:27Speaker 1: year cruise. And the cruise line that is offering this
- 32:30Speaker 1: is leaning into it hard by calling it the Skip
- 32:35Speaker 1: Forward Package. This allows you to spend four years on
- 32:39Speaker 1: a cruise ship and you would return home just in
- 32:43Speaker 1: time for the next president, whoever that will be. The
- 32:47Speaker 1: cruise will travel to all seven continents and go to
- 32:50Speaker 1: one hundred and forty countries. Obviously, a four year cruise
- 32:54Speaker 1: is not going to be cheap. Single occupancy rooms, single
- 33:00Speaker 1: occupancy rooms. You guys want to try to guess how
- 33:02Speaker 1: much uh, four years for one person aboard the four
- 33:07Speaker 1: year cruise will cost.
- 33:08Speaker 2: You four years, one hundred and forty countries. You're gonna
- 33:14Speaker 2: need money to get off the ship because it's gonna
- 33:17Speaker 2: it's gonna port and then you want to visit and
- 33:19Speaker 2: buy trinkets.
- 33:21Speaker 1: This is for everything on board the ship.
- 33:24Speaker 2: Oh so all inclusive on the ship, so all the
- 33:26Speaker 2: food and uh I would go with with pocket money
- 33:31Speaker 2: and such. Three fifty Okay, Trey, what about you?
- 33:40Speaker 3: I'm gonna go write at a million Ooh interesting.
- 33:45Speaker 1: The good news is you guys are ready for a
- 33:47Speaker 1: deal because you both overshot it four years on a cruise.
- 33:52Speaker 1: Single occupancy rooms start at two hundred and fifty six
- 33:55Speaker 1: thousand dollars. Double occupancy starts at three hundred twenty thousand dollars,
- 34:01Speaker 1: and that does cover everything on board the ship, including
- 34:04Speaker 1: all food and drinks. It also includes the fitness center,
- 34:08Speaker 1: the spa. I'm sure there's a pool and things. There
- 34:11Speaker 1: are also options for shorter cruises of varying links, including
- 34:15Speaker 1: a midterm option for just two years if you just
- 34:17Speaker 1: want to see what happens in the house in the Senate.
- 34:20Speaker 1: A representative for the company Villa v Residences says the
- 34:24Speaker 1: trip gives passengers flexibility to escape traffic jams, politics, and
- 34:29Speaker 1: the monotony of city life. So I want to ask
- 34:34Speaker 1: this question of you again, and now that you are
- 34:36Speaker 1: armed with a little more information, if you could afford
- 34:40Speaker 1: three hundred thousand dollars for a four year cruise. Would
- 34:45Speaker 1: you do it around the world four years?
- 34:48Speaker 2: Is it the same comic every night?
- 34:54Speaker 1: I can only take so much flip inorly?
- 35:00Speaker 4: Uh?
- 35:00Speaker 2: Yeah? Is it the same entertainment? Like? Are they flying
- 35:03Speaker 2: the entertainers out?
- 35:04Speaker 1: What are they I would hope that they're going to
- 35:07Speaker 1: rotate the entertainment. Okay, otherwise you're just gonna be on
- 35:11Speaker 1: a on a boat for four years, just really binge
- 35:13Speaker 1: watching Netflix.
- 35:15Speaker 2: Yeah, and then the buffets. You know, you can kind
- 35:19Speaker 2: of mix it up. I think you can. You can.
- 35:21Speaker 2: You can have a night where it's like, you know,
- 35:22Speaker 2: tonight's stake night, We'll do that.
- 35:24Speaker 1: And so they have the nice restaurants, they have the buffets,
- 35:27Speaker 1: and keeping in mind you're gonna go to ports. You're
- 35:28Speaker 1: gonna go to one hundred and forty countries in four years,
- 35:30Speaker 1: so you're gonna go to porch. You're gonna get varying
- 35:33Speaker 1: sights and sounds and experiences and food and all that.
- 35:37Speaker 2: There's there's doctors on board in case you get a
- 35:39Speaker 2: little ze sick. There's some spam. I mean, if it's
- 35:42Speaker 2: all inclusive in the three I would go. I would
- 35:45Speaker 2: ra I.
- 35:45Speaker 1: Can't tell if you look concerned worried or there's.
- 35:51Speaker 3: There's no effing way that is. Think about it. You're
- 35:56Speaker 3: talking about roughly sixty five thousand dollars a year.
- 36:00Speaker 2: M hmm.
- 36:01Speaker 3: That's you can you can barely live in Dallas in
- 36:06Speaker 3: a really nice place for sixty five thousand a year
- 36:08Speaker 3: And that doesn't include like and that wouldn't even cover
- 36:12Speaker 3: going out and your food and everything else. So you're
- 36:14Speaker 3: telling me you're gonna live, You're gonna have all your
- 36:15Speaker 3: meals covered. I mean that that's a deal of a century,
- 36:18Speaker 3: But it just sounds like a really bad, all inclusive
- 36:20Speaker 3: where you know you're gonna you know, be drinking Joe
- 36:24Speaker 3: Daniels and uh, you know, just just bad liquor and
- 36:28Speaker 3: horrible food and yay graces. Yeah.
- 36:32Speaker 2: Hey, I'm just saying there's nothing wrong with Joe Daniels
- 36:34Speaker 2: and imitation crab. I'm just saying, uh, every night all
- 36:40Speaker 2: imitation crab is a natural diuretic. I don't know if
- 36:42Speaker 2: you know that.
- 36:45Speaker 1: Is that a chocolate fountain?
- 36:46Speaker 2: No, that's rush. He's stuck.
- 36:52Speaker 1: He got stuck at the crab station to get uh.
- 36:55Speaker 2: No, I've been on uh you know, when I went
- 36:56Speaker 2: on the cruise A couple of years ago. I thoroughly
- 36:59Speaker 2: enjoyed it the good.
- 37:01Speaker 1: You enjoy it for four years?
- 37:04Speaker 3: Waits, how much did you pay for the cruise?
- 37:06Speaker 2: I was performing on it? So I was free?
- 37:08Speaker 3: Okay?
- 37:09Speaker 1: So Trey, are you saying sixty five grand a year
- 37:11Speaker 1: is too high or too low?
- 37:13Speaker 3: Too low?
- 37:14Speaker 1: So you're saying it's a good deal.
- 37:17Speaker 3: I'm saying there's something. There's a catch, because, like I said,
- 37:20Speaker 3: you'd be hard pressed to live, you know, on sixty
- 37:27Speaker 3: if you were living in a decent place in Dallas.
- 37:32Speaker 3: All food, I mean that that that's gonna cover your
- 37:35Speaker 3: living expenses in Dallas. Now you're talking about being on
- 37:38Speaker 3: a cruise ship, but all your meals are prepared.
- 37:42Speaker 2: Yeah, but you're not the only one on the ship.
- 37:43Speaker 2: It's not like they're just making.
- 37:45Speaker 3: It exactly so you're covering all the staff. Like think
- 37:49Speaker 3: the numbers don't make sense.
- 37:51Speaker 2: Well, if you have, you know, three thousand people paying
- 37:55Speaker 2: three hundred thousand dollars, it does make sense for four.
- 37:59Speaker 3: But you think of it's per year. I think a
- 38:02Speaker 3: seven day cruise is going to run you what like
- 38:05Speaker 3: two grand?
- 38:07Speaker 2: Yeah, they're about fifteen hundred.
- 38:09Speaker 3: Okay, fifteen hundred, So fifteen hundred. I mean that it's
- 38:13Speaker 3: just it seems really off.
- 38:15Speaker 2: Yeah, if you were the only person on the cruise,
- 38:17Speaker 2: I could see while you're you're gonna be drinking well
- 38:19Speaker 2: liquor and eating subway sandwiches. But there's gonna be three
- 38:23Speaker 2: four thousand people on this that are paying the same
- 38:25Speaker 2: amount of money. Not everybody eats the same, not everybody
- 38:28Speaker 2: consumes the same, so it is there, I mean, and
- 38:31Speaker 2: then not everybody drinks, Like if you went on the cruise,
- 38:34Speaker 2: you wouldn't drink.
- 38:35Speaker 1: So I don't know, this might break him right off
- 38:47Speaker 1: the bow.
- 38:48Speaker 3: Not to mention. The other thing is have you you
- 38:51Speaker 3: seen that? Do you remember the videos of the cruise
- 38:53Speaker 3: ships during the pandemic that had to just sit outside
- 38:57Speaker 3: ports for months on end, or the videos of cruise
- 38:59Speaker 3: ships that have you know, bugs that run through them.
- 39:03Speaker 2: Yeah. Now, now, if Dan would have said, you're you're
- 39:06Speaker 2: getting on board this cruise for the next four years
- 39:08Speaker 2: and it's a carnival cruise, I'd be like, no, not
- 39:11Speaker 2: doing that. But this, like this sounds like a decent
- 39:15Speaker 2: company that knows what they're doing them. But but then again,
- 39:18Speaker 2: so did the White Star Line with the Titanic. So
- 39:20Speaker 2: I don't know how this could work. I'm just saying, uh.
- 39:24Speaker 3: But I'll also say that there are services that have this.
- 39:27Speaker 3: There's the one called the residency, like where you buy
- 39:30Speaker 3: a cabin and everything else cost a lot more than this.
- 39:34Speaker 1: So it's probably because it's nicer.
- 39:37Speaker 3: Well again, yeah, that's the I just because also remember
- 39:43Speaker 3: whoever's running this cruise ship isn't doing it as a nonprofit.
- 39:46Speaker 3: They're trying to make money, so they're gonna they're cutting
- 39:49Speaker 3: a lot of corners to give you this price.
- 39:51Speaker 1: So so you're so what you said is for this
- 39:55Speaker 1: cost four years on a cruise ship, you're expecting something else.
- 39:59Speaker 3: There's catch, yeah, very much.
- 40:03Speaker 2: So the buffets just always cecis.
- 40:08Speaker 3: I you be lucky you're in the tree House.
- 40:18Speaker 4: Visit us online at treehouseonair dot com.
- 40:35Speaker 7: You're listening to the Treehouse.

- 40:55Speaker 1: It's been on the website the whole time, I just
- 40:57Speaker 1: haven't been promoting it because that's a whole lot of
- 41:00Speaker 1: work if you keep leaving me and Trey and Raj
- 41:03Speaker 1: a bunch of voicemails. But now I feel like we're
- 41:05Speaker 1: just about ready to handle that responsibility. So if you
- 41:07Speaker 1: would like to talk back to us inside the treehouse,
- 41:09Speaker 1: Treehouse on air dot com and then back there on
- 41:12Speaker 1: every page the little microphone lower right, hay, and you
- 41:15Speaker 1: click on that and record and leave a message, and
- 41:19Speaker 1: I bet Jerry will get it and then if it's good,
- 41:21Speaker 1: he'll disseminate it to us. So you now have that
- 41:25Speaker 1: option at Treehouseonair dot com. Congratulations, it's a new feature,
- 41:31Speaker 1: all right. It is Tuesday, November twelve, twenty twenty four.
- 41:35Speaker 1: Let's celebrate some birthdays today, all right? Oh, I just
- 41:41Speaker 1: misplaced my birthday. They're there, all right. Russell Westbrook is
- 41:45Speaker 1: thirty six today. NBA player Russell Westbrook thirty six today,
- 41:50Speaker 1: former B two K member and you Got served superstar
- 41:53Speaker 1: Oumrion is forty and Halthaway is forty two today. From
- 41:59Speaker 1: film like Princess Diaries, They Miss a Rob Gets Smart,
- 42:03Speaker 1: The Devil Wears Prada. That movie Ocean's Eight, which even
- 42:07Speaker 1: I have not seen. But she was also Catwoman in
- 42:11Speaker 1: the Dark Knight Rises. And we've all seen Christopher Nolan's
- 42:15Speaker 1: Batman trilogy, right, I believe, So, Rajer, have you seen
- 42:21Speaker 1: Anne Hathaway as Catwoman?
- 42:24Speaker 2: I believe?
- 42:24Speaker 1: So how do you not know this?
- 42:27Speaker 2: I think I have. I just I don't Look. What
- 42:31Speaker 2: were the movies The.
- 42:33Speaker 1: Dark Knight Rises?
- 42:34Speaker 2: Yep? Saw that one.
- 42:35Speaker 1: It's where Baine and and Yeah and Batman punch each
- 42:38Speaker 1: other a lot, and Catwoman's in it.
- 42:40Speaker 3: Yep.
- 42:40Speaker 2: Then I saw that one, did you? Yeah? How do
- 42:45Speaker 2: you not know? I was more? I was, Yeah, Baine
- 42:48Speaker 2: was just a badass. So I just kind of I
- 42:49Speaker 2: think that kind of stole the show.
- 42:51Speaker 1: Yeah, so you you were more focused on Thomas Hardy
- 42:54Speaker 1: as Baine than Anne Hathaway's button the Cats who Got It?
- 42:58Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I mean, I just like he snaps old
- 43:01Speaker 2: Christian Bell's back and so comic.
- 43:05Speaker 1: Anne Hathaway, by the way, Devil's Product. I have seen that.
- 43:08Speaker 2: Actually, you enjoyed that movie?
- 43:10Speaker 3: I did, of course.
- 43:12Speaker 1: Glenn Closest, very talented. Sure, absolutely When that Meryl Streep,
- 43:17Speaker 1: That's what I meant, Meryl Streep.
- 43:23Speaker 2: I love Trey so much. He just says it before
- 43:26Speaker 2: I do. It just makes me happy.
- 43:30Speaker 1: That's totally what I meant.
- 43:32Speaker 2: At least I got the Ann, a great actress.
- 43:36Speaker 1: What I said is still true. It's just that she
- 43:39Speaker 1: didn't have any role in that particular thing.
- 43:43Speaker 2: I'm sure she didn't want it.
- 43:49Speaker 1: You know who's good Jody Foster. M he's crowded in
- 43:53Speaker 1: that movie.
- 43:53Speaker 2: But you know naming you know, Dame Judy Desh who
- 43:58Speaker 2: doesn't love her?
- 44:00Speaker 1: Now, I said Jody Foster, because when I have brain
- 44:02Speaker 1: fart moments like that, I my inner voice sounds like
- 44:06Speaker 1: Jody Foster from Nell.
- 44:09Speaker 2: Okay, that's funny.
- 44:14Speaker 1: Due but day other birthdays today? Oh thank you, Ann Hathaway.
- 44:23Speaker 1: Ryan Gosling turns forty four today. Ryan Gosling is forty
- 44:27Speaker 1: four today. Uh. He is Sebastian and La La Land
- 44:30Speaker 1: Noah in the notebook.
- 44:37Speaker 2: What I was just gonna say, not in the Devil
- 44:39Speaker 2: Worst product either.
- 44:40Speaker 1: He was not in The Devilwar's product, but he was
- 44:42Speaker 1: in the fall Guy movie, which I thoroughly enjoyed, which Raj,
- 44:47Speaker 1: you look down on just because now now when I
- 44:49Speaker 1: say I like something, you think it must be terrible,
- 44:51Speaker 1: which is not the case.
- 44:53Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean Old Guy.
- 44:54Speaker 1: Was a fun movie. Trey watch. Did he enjoy it?
- 44:57Speaker 3: Agreed?
- 44:58Speaker 1: Okay, especially the whole scene where he's chased in the unicorns.
- 45:01Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a that's the that's the best part.
- 45:06Speaker 1: See quite quit your judginess. If you'd watched the movie,
- 45:09Speaker 1: it would make sense.
- 45:11Speaker 2: I'm not judge it. I think Ryan Gosling's great. Isn't
- 45:13Speaker 2: he married to if Amendez? Yeah, it's not who he's
- 45:16Speaker 2: married to. Well, congratulations to him. He's one. Uh he
- 45:19Speaker 2: got you you guys, got you guys to watch Fall
- 45:22Speaker 2: Guy and he's married to even that's wonderful, he wins.
- 45:26Speaker 2: I like the guy.
- 45:28Speaker 1: He's also really good in Barbi.
- 45:30Speaker 2: Yeah. I was waiting for it. I was waiting for it.
- 45:35Speaker 3: Can you ever truly forgive him for the Notebook? Though?
- 45:41Speaker 1: I don't know if it's entirely his fault. I mean,
- 45:43Speaker 1: there was the person that wrote the book, and there
- 45:46Speaker 1: was everyone that said, hey, let's make this a movie.
- 45:50Speaker 3: He read the script. Although it does it did have
- 45:53Speaker 3: the classic line in there, you know what do you want?
- 45:55Speaker 2: But yeah, yeah, women seem to love the movie.
- 46:00Speaker 3: Oh god, yes they do.
- 46:02Speaker 2: Yeah, so uh.
- 46:03Speaker 1: Well, the reason why Trey doesn't like the Notebook is
- 46:05Speaker 1: because he doesn't agree with the ending because in the
- 46:07Speaker 1: ending of the Notebook, the man, the old man dies
- 46:10Speaker 1: right after the wife does, where in Trey's happy ending,
- 46:13Speaker 1: the woman the wife dies and Trey keeps living for
- 46:16Speaker 1: five to ten peace filled years.
- 46:20Speaker 2: I thought, in Troy's version, he kills the woman and
- 46:22Speaker 2: gets away with it and lives for five to ten
- 46:24Speaker 2: more years.
- 46:28Speaker 1: That would be the documentary version, as opposed to the romance.
- 46:36Speaker 2: He just took advantage of her Alzheimer's just for his
- 46:39Speaker 2: kilderr or just strangled myself twenty years earlier, just because.
- 46:44Speaker 3: I saw I saw what was ahead of me.
- 46:47Speaker 1: Having to read from the Notebook for the next twenty years. Yes,
- 46:49Speaker 1: said Et.
- 46:52Speaker 2: And Trey's version the movie ends in thirty minutes.
- 46:55Speaker 1: Yeah, look at the smile on his way.
- 47:01Speaker 3: Think about the lives that would have been saved.
- 47:16Speaker 7: You're listening to the Treehouse.

- 47:54Speaker 1: on Air at gmail dot com. We talked about the
- 47:57Speaker 1: four year cruise in case you're you or someone you
- 48:00Speaker 1: know is very unhappy by the result of the presidential election.
- 48:04Speaker 1: So you can, you know, get on a vote for
- 48:06Speaker 1: four years and not come back until there's a new president.
- 48:08Speaker 1: That's an option to you. One other piece of election
- 48:13Speaker 1: news that we didn't get a chance to cover until now,
- 48:16Speaker 1: and that is there was a story circulating online about
- 48:23Speaker 1: right end candidates. There was an article a few days
- 48:26Speaker 1: ago that was circulating online from CNN that said there
- 48:31Speaker 1: was seventy five thousand write ends for the Hawk Tour
- 48:35Speaker 1: Girl Haley Welch, known as the Hawk Tour Girl from
- 48:39Speaker 1: viral fame. There was that article that looked like a
- 48:42Speaker 1: screenshot from CNN saying that she received over seventy five
- 48:46Speaker 1: thousand ride ends for the election. However, after doing a
- 48:51Speaker 1: little digging on this, it turns out that this is
- 48:53Speaker 1: not true. The story is concocted not by CNN, just
- 48:56Speaker 1: one of those things that someone just made on their own,
- 49:00Speaker 1: but a photoshop magic. So no, there were not seventy
- 49:04Speaker 1: five thousand ride ends for the Hawktua Girl, Hailey Welch.
- 49:09Speaker 1: Although I think it begs the question, are there worse
- 49:15Speaker 1: people that you could have written in than the hawk
- 49:17Speaker 1: Tour Girl? I think so?
- 49:19Speaker 2: Mm hm yes, what was that? Danielle Brigoli or bad baby?
- 49:27Speaker 2: You can she would she would be worse.
- 49:30Speaker 1: I'm just saying, before we cash judgment on whether or
- 49:35Speaker 1: not Hawktua girl would make a good president or not,
- 49:38Speaker 1: let's at least see what her foreign policy ideas are.
- 49:47Speaker 2: Oh you weren't kidding. I just I mean, I I
- 49:54Speaker 2: think I think her the Hawktua thing, I think it
- 49:58Speaker 2: sums up her platform.
- 50:00Speaker 1: Here's the thing is, I'm.
- 50:02Speaker 2: Sorry, no, no, please finish well.
- 50:05Speaker 1: People made jokes about Trump's candidacy back in what was
- 50:09Speaker 1: it twenty fifteen when he started coming down the escalator
- 50:11Speaker 1: or twenty sixteen, whatever it was. Everyone say, this is
- 50:13Speaker 1: just a publicity stunt, this is ridiculous. He's uh, he's
- 50:17Speaker 1: just trying to capitalize. He's just he's a reality TV
- 50:21Speaker 1: show guy. He has no business in politics. Now he's
- 50:24Speaker 1: about to embark on his second run as president of
- 50:27Speaker 1: the United States, so maybe we shouldn't look down our noses.
- 50:32Speaker 1: In a POV shot of the huck Tour girl.
- 50:34Speaker 3: I mean, she did have the profound statement that, you know,
- 50:38Speaker 3: what's good for the whole isn't always good for the soul.
- 50:43Speaker 9: I mean, yeah, yeah, I mean I think I think
- 50:51Speaker 9: you know, she she wouldn't.
- 50:54Speaker 2: She wouldn't. She wouldn't choke back on things, is what
- 50:58Speaker 2: I'm trying to say. She would she would let it
- 51:00Speaker 2: all in, uh when it comes to foreign policy and
- 51:04Speaker 2: even domestic Uh, increase the beauty.
- 51:12Speaker 1: I feel like, I feel like everything in Washington would
- 51:15Speaker 1: go very smoothly at the federal level. If the hawk
- 51:18Speaker 1: to A Girl was the president. I guess I'll have
- 51:24Speaker 1: this hang on, you go give that there it is, okay,
- 51:26Speaker 1: here we go. Just imagine, just imagine, And what if
- 51:30Speaker 1: the story was not true. What if, let's say, in
- 51:33Speaker 1: a number of years, when she's old enough to run,
- 51:36Speaker 1: the hawk to a Girl actually runs for president and
- 51:39Speaker 1: you hear this, you gotta give him that hawk dude
- 51:43Speaker 1: spent on that night as a platform for the country.
- 51:47Speaker 2: M hm. That's gonna be one exciting state dinner. I'll
- 51:50Speaker 2: tell you that that's more of an eyes white shut theme.
- 51:54Speaker 2: But she's gonna turn the White House into a BROTHELSNA.
- 52:05Speaker 2: More power to her. So uh, good, good on, good on,
- 52:09Speaker 2: Old Haley. From from crack baby to viral sensation.
- 52:14Speaker 3: It's gonna be your VP, Snookie.
- 52:19Speaker 1: It'll be whoever who's gonna be, whoever has the best mop.
- 52:26Speaker 2: It'll it'll still He'll still want it, Pence will still
- 52:28Speaker 2: want to join.
- 52:29Speaker 1: It'll be Mike as long as it's a Republican. He's
- 52:31Speaker 1: like mother says, it's okay as long as I'm not
- 52:34Speaker 1: in the room with her. By month. I would love
- 52:41Speaker 1: to see missus Pence's face on that one. All right,
- 52:49Speaker 1: thanks for hanging out with us today. We appreciate it.
- 52:51Speaker 1: I hope you had fun. We sure did. We will
