**Silver BREAKOUT!** You MUST Hear THIS! 🦍🦍 (Silver Price and Gold Price News UPDATE) · SILVER / GOLD / $UFD: Surviving Global Economic Shifts | RONS BASEMENT

0:01
Silver and gold history being written right now and we get to
0:06
experience it together and we have some massive stories to
0:10
cover today. The big hits just keep coming.
0:13
We're going to talk about Japan. We're going to talk about China.
0:16
We're going to talk about the billionaire out of Hong Kong.
0:19
We're going to talk about one of the biggest bullion dealers in
0:22
the world in all of this, right? Gives us proof and examples why
0:27
we could still be in the very early stages of this rally for
0:32
gold and silver. And again, we're going to do it
0:36
together because that's what we love to do.
0:38
Thank you for joining me down here in the basement.
0:41
We've been getting together for years now, and I want you to
0:45
come back. So please subscribe to the
0:47
channel, give the video a thumbs up, leave a comment in the
0:50
comment section so we can learn about you because you are the
0:53
most important part. Super chants are always super
0:56
appreciated. Absolutely never expected.
0:59
Let's go out and take a look right now at the live price of
1:03
silver and gold. Gold was up big this morning.
1:06
Silver was down, but we're hitting record upstairs.
1:09
Susie just chirped in right before I came on and said new
1:13
all time high and gold. I mean, guys, things are
1:16
happening at rapid pace. We're going to move through it
1:18
all today. Here we go.
1:20
We are going to head out to Kitco and as you can see for
1:25
those of you who are new, this is the world spot price,
1:30
supposedly the physical price for silver.
1:33
Oh wow, silver came back only down to cents.
1:36
It was down like a dollar earlier, so 9445 and the gold
1:41
price, unbelievable up. Is that $86 per oz at $4780?
1:50
Now let's go out and look at the futures price.
1:52
Hold on here, get that off the screen of silver and see where
1:56
we are in terms of backwardation or contango.
1:59
So the spot price of silver is 9445 and the futures price
2:06
should be higher, which it's not.
2:09
OK, we're at 9417. This is the just to for those of
2:16
you who are new, the March futures price, the futures price
2:20
should be lower, which it's not, I'm sorry, should be higher,
2:24
which it's not. I'm backward dated in my own
2:26
mind. So when the spot price of
2:29
silver, the immediate price, the physical price is higher than
2:32
the futures price, we are in a state of backwardation.
2:35
We're not deep into backwardation, but it's a very
2:38
rare occurrence. And what it means is maybe some
2:41
people speculate that there's some concern about the future
2:46
deliverability of that silver in March.
2:49
I won't speculate any further. I mean, gosh, like there's not
2:51
like there's a physical run on silver going on or anything, is
2:56
there? We'll take a look at that here
2:57
in a second as well. But next, let's go to China.
3:00
And yes, we are getting all time highs.
3:02
We can't even keep up with it in the silver and gold market.
3:05
But let's go out to China to get an update on the price of
3:09
silver, not the price of tea. My mom used to say that.
3:12
Maybe your mom did 2. The price of tea in China.
3:15
This comes from King Kong 9888. And our friend the Oriental
3:19
Ghost has been absent for about a week.
3:22
We hope he's OK and we look forward to his future updates as
3:25
well. But today, OK, on the Shanghai
3:28
Gold Exchange. And there's a big reason why
3:31
this is double important. The SGE right there.
3:35
The Shanghai Gold Exchange is the spot market in China pretty
3:40
much from what I understand, like 90 to 99%, all backed by
3:44
physical metal. OK, that price in red right now
3:48
in China, $103.38 in U.S. dollars per Troy oz equivalent.
3:56
And he goes through all the calculations below.
3:59
And Eric Young, King Kong 98888888 is great, right?
4:04
And a super reliable source of information, highly respected.
4:08
But wait, there's more. OK, because on the Shanghai Gold
4:13
Exchange benchmark price at loadout, this is what people
4:17
would actually have to pay to get it out of the Shanghai Gold
4:20
Exchange with the value added tax because they have AVAT over
4:24
there is actually $116.80 per oz.
4:32
Let me look you in the eye. Let's remember a couple key
4:35
things. China is taking over the price
4:38
discovery mechanism for silver. We can throw India in there as
4:41
well. They both have 1.8 billion
4:43
people. If you add those together, you
4:45
get 2.8 billion people. They both have rapidly expanding
4:49
economies that need a lot of silver.
4:51
OK, and this is the physical price in China in the East.
4:57
Wake up, Paper market, Comex and the LBMA.
5:02
We're in a new reality. OK, it's a new world.
5:05
We're going to talk more about that in a second.
5:08
What's mainstream media? This is great.
5:10
This is critical for us to understand when we're looking at
5:13
the silver price. This is a very simple statement
5:17
from the mother silver ape. OK, silver prices keep rising.
5:21
Yes, check in yellow mainstream media quote UN quote.
5:26
Financial experts say silver's overbought look at the chart,
5:30
look at the RSI index, blah blah blah.
5:33
But then right, we watch silver prices rise again.
5:37
It's like the Weeble, the weebles wobble, but they don't
5:40
fall down. And again and again, this is the
5:43
key part. Maybe silver isn't overbought.
5:47
Maybe silver was always tremendously under priced.
5:53
So again, the reason why we want to talk about this, hold on
5:57
here. Hopefully I didn't lose you.
5:59
We're having some tech issues. Bear with me here.
6:02
The reason we want to talk about this is because we are in a new
6:06
world. The top people.
6:08
I believe I heard Michael Oliver say this as well, right?
6:11
The king of of gold and silver price predictions.
6:15
He said it right. We're in it like a new pricing
6:18
atmosphere, a new world, a new paradigm, however you want to
6:21
call it. It's like the beach ball held
6:23
underwater. They manipulated the price of
6:26
silver and gold, but mostly silver.
6:30
For years and years and decades. They kept it pushed down.
6:33
Nobody there. There's no big supply.
6:36
Guess what? Guess what, guys, buckle up.
6:38
There's no new big supply of silver that's going to magically
6:42
appear, right? They cooked their own goose.
6:44
They kept the price like a beach ball, imagine a beach ball held
6:48
underwater and it's and finally now the silver price appears to
6:53
be breaking out. OK, I think more than appears to
6:56
be breaking out, I think we can confidently say has been
6:59
breaking out and people, OK, hold on here.
7:03
Oh, now we're going to shift gears for one second, OK, We
7:07
talk about these short term, the short term factors influencing
7:12
the precious metals prices are important, but we want to look
7:15
at that. You're, you know, according to
7:16
YouTube and Google, if you're a basement dweller down here with
7:19
me, you're sophisticated. I'm going to keep this down
7:23
here. This was a report that I got
7:25
from YouTube, right? It says your audience is not
7:29
just sophisticated, you are highly sophisticated.
7:33
So we're going to take a broader view.
7:35
The macro. There are two big crazy macro
7:38
factors right now that are like the massive tailwind to the
7:44
precious metals. All these short term factors are
7:47
important, China, India, blah, blah, blah.
7:49
But there's a big massive macro factor and that is the people
7:53
are piling into. I'll share this with you right
7:56
now. This is actually from Peter
7:59
Scheff. As global investors dump the US
8:04
dollar, dump stocks and dump bonds.
8:08
Oh, gosh, we got to talk about that today as well.
8:10
The stock market's big reason why that's important, that
8:13
silver and gold are doing well on a day when the stock market's
8:16
down, but we'll get to that later.
8:18
They're dumping all those things, dollar stocks and bonds.
8:21
They're piling into gold and silver.
8:25
Remember that analogy we always talked about like the Titanic
8:28
sinking, like that was kind of the world monetary and fiscal
8:32
system and that we were the first ones that were in the
8:35
lifeboat. And now everybody on the Titanic
8:38
is rushing to get into the lifeboats.
8:40
We're already in our lifeboat. We're already safely away from
8:44
the Titanic. OK, I'm sorry.
8:47
Sending both, Sending both silver and gold to new record
8:50
highs. Gold is over 4725 and silver was
8:54
over 9515 when he wrote this. The race to get out of US assets
8:59
is on. It's a race that you cannot
9:03
afford to lose. So the big message here guys,
9:07
aren't it. Sorry guys, the streaming
9:10
software keeps screwing up on me.
9:11
The big hopefully you can see me and hear me.
9:14
If you can't, please let upstairs Susie know, my lovely
9:17
and talented assistant. There she is.
9:19
Everybody say hi to Susie. People are getting out of bonds.
9:23
That's the big story. Next work.
9:25
OK, thank you, Susie. Next we're going to hear about
9:28
what's going on in Japan, which is a big story, which is going
9:31
to continue to create a tailwind for silver, for gold.
9:37
But people, interest rates are up on bonds.
9:40
OK, Look, I don't want to get too fancy on you here, but when
9:44
interest rates go up on bonds, the only reason that happens is
9:47
because the price of the bonds are going down.
9:50
The only reason the price of the bonds are going down is because
9:53
people are selling them. More people are selling than
9:55
are. That's what's happening right
9:58
now. It's happening on a big, big
10:00
scale. It's happening on a geopolitical
10:03
level. It's crazy what is going on.
10:05
Let's go look and get this headline out of Japan, OK?
10:09
And and this has to do with the the yen carry trade, the JGB,
10:14
which is the Japanese bond market OK has imploded just as
10:19
expected. You have been warned.
10:22
Look at the rates, OK on a this is a 30 year Japanese bond now
10:27
almost up to of 4%. It's exploding OK People are
10:32
getting out of the US dollar bonds, out of all these Fiat
10:35
dollar bonds, at least that's the trend that we're seeing
10:38
right now, right? Because there is such 22 big
10:42
factors, two big macro factors. We've got geopolitical turmoil
10:47
in the world right now like no other time in history.
10:50
There's a scramble to burp from countries to get their hands on
10:54
real assets. Print money all you want.
10:55
That's what China's doing. Buy real assets.
10:58
But there's a geopolitical turmoil like no other time in
11:01
history. But wait, there's more.
11:05
Because if you considered, not only do we have geopolitical
11:09
turmoil, but we've got fiscal turmoil, we've got financial
11:13
turmoil, we have debt turmoil like no other time in history.
11:17
There's more debt in the world. It's not just the United States
11:21
of America, although we've done a fine job.
11:23
Our good friend, where is he? I'm sorry, you guys keep yelling
11:28
at me, right, Earl, friend Jerome Powell, right in the
11:31
Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen and now Scott percent put the
11:36
United States in the position where we have all this debt, but
11:38
it's the whole world. Think about that.
11:40
People are losing confidence in these Fiat currencies.
11:44
People are losing confidence in the US dollar.
11:47
And then we've got all this turmoil going on with Europe and
11:50
the European countries saying, well, we're going to sell our
11:52
bonds or the threat that will sell our bonds.
11:55
It's guys, it's crazy, crazy. The big take away here is that
11:59
it creates an environment where gold and silver are very
12:02
attractive. Now let's look at one of the
12:04
biggest things that could be happening today, right now is
12:08
we're having a very big Green Day in the precious metal sector
12:14
in general, OK, because yesterday was a big update for
12:18
silver, but what's going on over here?
12:22
Make sure, hold on a minute. Sorry, wrong screen.
12:25
Now you're on the correct screen.
12:27
This is Yahoo Finance and what's going on over here?
12:31
I got to move this. OK, right.
12:34
There's the S&P 500. We'll just look at that.
12:37
Down 1 1/2 percent, the Dow down 1.3%, the NASDAQ down almost 2%.
12:45
On a day when the metals are doing well, why is that
12:49
important, right? Because it used to be that the
12:52
metals would follow what the general markets did.
12:55
If we've got a day where bonds, the price of bonds are going
12:58
down, people are getting out of bonds, people are getting out of
13:02
the stock market, then what are they going to do?
13:04
We talked about this down here years ago, even months ago,
13:09
right? It's like going to a, the, the
13:10
menu of available places for people to put their their money,
13:16
their value, to protect themselves.
13:18
It's like going to to a restaurant and everything's sold
13:21
out, right? They're going to be, they're
13:22
going to be looking around saying, what do I do?
13:24
Real estate's in a bubble, the stock market's in a bubble,
13:27
bonds are in a bubble. All those things are not doing
13:29
too well. Oh, over there in the corner.
13:33
We used to joke around the the 2% of people in the world that
13:36
know like you and me, gold and silver, that's the answer.
13:42
Now those people and we're going to look at the 2% later and
13:45
we're going to look at a lot more stuff.
13:47
Those 98% of people that stayed on the Titanic when the boat
13:51
started, it'll never sank. It'll never it'll always be OK.
13:54
They have recency bias, right? Those are the people that watch
13:58
CNN. Nothing against if you watch CNN
14:00
or Fox News or the mainstream media and they just watched you.
14:04
But you know, when they start to wake up and sheep warning noise,
14:07
we affectionately refer to those people as the the sheeple.
14:16
When that herd and it's a big herd comes to join us, since
14:20
we're only 2%, let's say it goes to 8% of people right in the
14:25
world are into gold and silver. That's what, a three or four
14:29
times increase in the number of people that are into the
14:31
precious metals. OK, we looked at Japan.
14:34
Please, though, be responsible. I'm not a financial advisor,
14:37
right? No matter what you do with any
14:38
of your investments, consider what I say.
14:41
Consider what other people say. Consider most importantly what
14:44
you say. Because remember, if you watch
14:46
this channel, according to Google Analytics, Gemini, which
14:50
is the smartest thing in the world, yes, you can look in the
14:53
mirror and smile today because they have told me you are highly
14:56
sophisticated. And I knew that all along.
14:58
I used to say you've got a little more intellectual
15:02
horsepower than the average bear.
15:04
All right, let's go here. OK, One of the biggest, biggest
15:10
names, right? And this is on the Platform X,
15:14
an overall kind of general financial economic news, right?
15:19
1.2 million followers. Are we going to listen to them?
15:23
Yes. Are they permables on gold and
15:25
silver? No, but listen to what they had
15:28
to say about silver. Hold on here.
15:34
Here it is, I believe, I hopefully I'm sharing that up,
15:38
up. We're having some tech issues
15:39
now we're back, OK, the Kobesi letter, OK, this, that guys,
15:44
look, there it is right there, 1.2 million people follow them
15:49
on X, the $1,000,000 question. Speaking of millions, what
15:52
happens to silver question mark, right, 'cause people are saying
15:56
it's overbought is blah, blah, blah.
15:58
We already covered that. Silver's not necessarily
16:01
overbought. Bonds have been getting crushed
16:04
and crypto remains highly bulletized, solidifying gold and
16:08
silver as global safe havens right now, more uncertainty,
16:13
less stability and fragmented global trade are a safe havens
16:18
best friend. What we've got here guys, why
16:21
this is so important is we have a confluence, a coming together
16:25
of factors like no other time in my life.
16:28
I don't know about you and your life, but a confluence of
16:30
factors that are supportive for gold and silver asset owners
16:36
will keep winning. And then we'll look look at this
16:38
chart that they pointed out some interesting developments.
16:42
This is the silver price, right? Trump started in office tariff
16:46
threats. Then Liberation Day right here,
16:49
the third box, US, China, quote, UN quote trade deal, October
16:54
2025, US, China 100% tariff threat.
16:58
And now Trump pushes for Greenland.
17:01
It's just happening all around us like never before.
17:06
Next we're going to hear from the world's one of the world's
17:08
biggest bullion dealers. Some scary, scary news out of
17:12
them. We got a Hong Kong double
17:14
feature, probably should almost be a Hong Kong triple feature,
17:18
but about silver and gold that absolutely shocking.
17:21
Then we're going to talk some more about what's going on in
17:24
the silver mining sector and what that could mean for the
17:29
overall silver market, including the silver physical silver
17:34
price. Right now I have a special
17:35
sponsor, Sir, for today's video, Apollo Silver.
17:38
This is about 3 minutes long, and then we'll be right back to
17:41
cover everything else. Apollo Silver is a junior mining
17:46
company positioned to become a key US supplier of silver, a
17:50
critical catalyst metal essential for everything from AI
17:54
data centers and solar energy to missile systems and 5G
17:59
infrastructure. Apollo controls over 125 million
18:04
ounces of measured and indicated silver and 57 million oz
18:09
inferred in one of the largest undeveloped deposits in the
18:14
United States. As America races to secure its
18:18
mineral independence from China, Apollo's Calico project could
18:22
become a cornerstone of national security, industrial resilience
18:27
and investor returns. With additional exposure to
18:31
barite and zinc, both critical minerals, and a seasoned
18:36
management team behind billion dollar exits, Apollo Silver
18:40
offers asymmetric upside. As silver demand explodes and
18:45
global demand for silver is exploding, current supplies
18:49
coming from the mining sector just can't keep up with demand.
18:54
Plus, silver had been trading at its most extreme relative
18:59
undervaluation to gold, a historic 85 to 1 plus ratio just
19:05
within the past two years. Every time this ratio spikes,
19:10
silver has delivered explosive gains of up to 400%.
19:15
And this time, Apollo silver could be the rocket ship.
19:20
That's why we're talking about America's secret Silver reserve.
19:25
Deep in the Mojave Desert is a forgotten $250 billion silver
19:30
district, and Apollo Silver is ready to kick it back into
19:34
production. With 125 million ounces in
19:39
measured and indicated resources and an additional 57 million oz
19:44
inferred, their Calico project could be the asset that reboots
19:49
American silver dominance. Because silver is becoming a
19:54
critical national security asset, the Pentagon consumes
19:58
more silver than many countries produce.
20:01
With China stockpiling and Trump declaring critical mineral
20:05
independence, Apollo's US based silver project is more than a
20:10
mine. It's a strategic domestic
20:13
security asset. But Apollo Silvers Calico
20:17
project isn't just the largest untapped silver resource in the
20:21
US. Their project also holds high
20:24
grade barite and Zinc, both critical to US energy and
20:29
defense, giving this stock multiple shots at upside and
20:33
fast 41 permitting acceleration. I'm excited to see what the
20:38
future holds for Apollo Silver. You can learn more about the
20:42
company at apollosilver.com. The stock trades in Canada with
20:48
the symbol APGO and in the United States with the symbol
20:53
APGOF. Thanks to Apollo Silver for
20:57
sponsoring this video. And what about a perfect storm
21:02
for silver? We're going to touch on that
21:04
next. We're also going to cover the
21:06
double feature out of Hong Kong that can make us all smile for
21:10
precious metals. We'll hit on the the silver
21:13
miners. And there's one more.
21:15
Oh yeah, exactly. Some shocking news, massive news
21:20
out of one of the world's biggest bullion dealers.
21:22
But let's talk about this confluence of factors, guys,
21:25
like we have never seen before. 4 silver right Now, could there
21:29
be a silver squeeze, Right. Let's look at some reasons and
21:32
examples. And this is an excellent piece
21:35
that was put together by the. Is it the smart silver stacker?
21:38
Yeah, the smart silver stacker. He's a fellow YouTube, very
21:43
smart guy. He put together a, a visual for
21:48
us, silver's perfect storm. We call it a confluence.
21:51
He calls it a perfect storm. Whatever it is, it's good for
21:54
the silver price. And he points out a number of
21:56
factors that are coming together right now. the United States,
22:00
and we don't talk about this enough, proposes a 2.5 billion
22:04
critical market stockpile, right?
22:06
Silver is now officially a critical mineral in the United
22:10
States, right? Was put on at least on review
22:13
status. I'm not sure 100% that it's
22:15
officially happened, but nonetheless it's going to happen
22:18
on the critical minerals list of the US is relying heavily on
22:22
silver imports. We import a bulk of the 6400
22:27
tons consumed annually. OK, new investment floodgates.
22:32
Oh, this is huge guys, right? This is huge, OK, because
22:36
they're talking about potentially making rule changes
22:40
where people would be allowed to invest 401K funds into more
22:44
commodity oriented, silver oriented investments.
22:47
But on top of that, I'll also add, and I believe the sleeper
22:51
that we always talk about, it's a basement exclusive.
22:54
And that is the future demand that could be generated for
22:58
silver from the tokenization of silver, where it's backed 100%
23:03
by real metal and will allow people to carry their their
23:07
their silver with them in tokenized form.
23:09
Whether you like crypto or not, I believe that'll be the big
23:12
story in the coming 5 and 10 years and will represent a
23:17
massive, massive increase in demand for silver.
23:20
The silver price has soared. And then down here in the bottom
23:23
right, we've got the five year structural deficit.
23:26
One more thing that again that nobody's talking about enough
23:31
when it comes to silver. And I was shocked to see the
23:35
amount of silver that's consumed on an annual basis by the
23:38
jewelry industry. I just look, I got an eye for
23:41
fashion. You can probably tell and I'll
23:43
tell you what, silver jewelry will become more and more
23:47
popular and and create more and more demand for silver.
23:51
Nobody likes to talk about that tokenization.
23:54
Nobody likes to talk about jewelry demand.
23:56
But I'm telling you, these are big massive sleepers.
23:59
Those are basement sleepers. They're over there in the
24:02
corner, right? Remember, somebody's got a video
24:05
going around. I'm not bragging, OK?
24:07
I'm often wrong. But somebody has a video going
24:10
around of me like 3 years ago. It was when I had the Weber Bear
24:14
down here where I sat here and pounded the table, said silver
24:17
will get the $85, OK. And we talked about silver and
24:21
gold sleeping right over there. You can't see it, but in the
24:24
corner in my basement and there's some sleeper factors,
24:27
tokenization jewelry amongst all the other ones that the smart
24:31
silver stacker so kindly provided us on that outstanding
24:35
visual that I think are going to lead to unbelievable future
24:39
moves in the in the gold and silver price.
24:42
OK, let's talk about shocking news out of one of the world's
24:45
biggest bullion dealers about the silver market.
24:50
This is incredible. It came from APMEX, the CEO of
24:53
APMEX. And there's a lot to unpack
24:55
here. This was originally been shared
24:58
everywhere, but I've got one up here from the silver trade.
25:02
And now I have the right screen shared with you.
25:05
APMEX post emergency message from the CEO, mandatory $500
25:12
order minimum. But that's not really what's
25:15
interesting. I've got several things
25:16
highlighted for you. He said this in the letter.
25:20
Silver demand increases have far surpassed gold over the last six
25:25
weeks, leading to historical volume increases in green.
25:32
Right? He had a he did an update like a
25:33
week ago, he said. In my last update, I showed
25:36
optimism that we could be current in the near term with
25:40
one caveat, unless demand increases and demand did
25:47
increase, right, putting more pressure on our company to
25:50
provide the service levels you've come to appreciate.
25:53
This is the CEO of APMEX, one of the world's biggest precious
25:58
metals bullion dealers, he says in red.
26:01
As a result, we will have to take some tough decisions.
26:06
Now we go down here and then there's a lot more.
26:09
OK. I'm just trying to hit the
26:10
highlights with you here. There's a lot highlighted in
26:14
red, OK? He says last week from an order
26:16
stand, from an order count standpoint, it was the fourth
26:20
highest week in company history. Demand for silver as a
26:26
percentage of our revenue hit a new all time high last week.
26:31
OK, here boxed in blue, effective today, we will be
26:35
instituting a $500 minimum for online orders.
26:40
As a result, our output will be because they supposedly not.
26:44
So they're reporting they had some type of incident that's
26:48
reducing their ability to create silver.
26:50
There's some speculation, whatever, OK, he says.
26:54
I want to thank you for your patience during what is
26:56
historical volume. One more reference point to
27:00
drive this home. Just yesterday, Saturday,
27:03
January 17th, we had our third busiest Saturday in history.
27:09
Guys, we are in historic times, no doubt when it comes to the
27:14
precious metals, but it's not just in the United States, it's
27:18
not just in the West, it's also in Hong Kong.
27:22
And I have a question for you, is Hong Kong part of China?
27:24
Well, it kind of is and it kind of isn't.
27:26
But officially it is. And we've got, we've got a
27:29
couple big stories out of Hong Kong and there's there's another
27:32
story that is developing with Hong Kong.
27:34
We'll touch on that at the end. But we got a Hong Kong double,
27:38
double, double feature. And remember, Hong Kong is
27:41
officially part of China. Apparently they were part of the
27:45
United Kingdom and then the United Kingdom gave them back to
27:48
China, I think in 1997. But Hong Kong has their own
27:52
legal system, currency and economic system.
27:56
But they are part of China. OK, I'm just reporting the
27:59
facts. But now for the Hong Kong double
28:01
feature and what this means for the gold and silver price.
28:06
Here's the first one here we're going to go.
28:09
We're going to hear from a man on the street and then we're
28:11
going to hear from one of the richest men in Hong Kong
28:14
shocking what he is doing with precious metals.
28:18
Eric Yong, King Kong 988 reports Hong Kong's Lee Chong gold
28:23
dealer that's a member of the Hong Kong Gold Exchange, sold
28:27
out of all all 200 of its six ounce Troy oz bars in the
28:33
morning within two hours. He says this and I think he's
28:36
talking to like people in general.
28:39
Everything I told them for years is correct.
28:42
They chose to ridicule me instead of buying physical gold
28:46
and silver to protect themselves and their families.
28:49
And do you relate relate to that?
28:51
We're going to get back to Hong Kong in a second.
28:53
But let's be real. Silver investors, you know, we
28:57
were called a cult. We were called crazy, we were
29:01
ridiculed. I got a feeling that maybe some
29:03
of my neighbors made fun of me behind my back, which is fine,
29:07
you know, whatever. But now what we are seeing is a
29:11
global rush. And take a look at this picture
29:15
from what is it Lee Chong in Hong Kong, people lining up.
29:20
There's a news person there. I can't read what is it Mandarin
29:23
or Chinese? I'm not sure I apologize.
29:25
I don't realize know what how to say what these symbols are, but
29:29
people that can it probably says, you know, crazy amount of
29:33
demand for silver and gold in Hong Kong.
29:38
Now, what about we always like the what about the smartest
29:42
people in the room? Let me ask you a question.
29:44
If you had a neighbor that was a billionaire, congratulations if
29:48
you do, right? But if you had a neighbor who
29:50
was a billionaire and you were at the neighborhood swimming
29:52
pool and your neighbors were, you know, splashing around the
29:55
pool and one of your neighbors came up, not the billionaire,
29:58
but he said, hey, did you hear what the what Joe billionaire
30:01
did, what he bought, what what he invested in?
30:04
You'd pay attention, right? Because there's a reason why
30:07
that guy became a billionaire. That's what we're going to do
30:10
right now from from our second part of our Hong Kong double
30:13
feature today in Ron's basement. We're going to go right here,
30:18
hold on one second to the Edge newspaper, which is from
30:22
Singapore in Asia. And it says right here, make
30:27
sure we got you on the right screen.
30:28
Yes, Hong Kong billionaire puts quarter of his wealth in gold.
30:34
Now that's a big deal. But but wait, there's more.
30:38
There's two other reasons why we're going to pay attention to
30:41
this. And he's a good looking guy.
30:43
Here he is for three decades. Chia Chang hi was a face of
30:49
value investing value investing remember that in Asia building
30:54
value partners group limited to into a multi billion dollar
30:59
stock picking powerhouse. This guy became a billionaire by
31:04
buying good value OK make a note of that in blue.
31:08
Now the former fund manager is putting a massive portion of his
31:13
personal wealth into gold and is advising others to do the same.
31:20
Precious metals make up 1/4 of assets at the 1.4 billion family
31:27
office through which Chia manages his riches.
31:31
He's got 1/4 of his 1.4 billion fortune.
31:35
I should go figure that out. So that'd be 250 million.
31:38
That's $350 million worth of gold, according to people
31:42
familiar with the matter. A year ago, precious metals were
31:45
about 15% of his family office portfolio, he says.
31:50
Quote, this is the best part. I was a very patient investor.
31:55
I bought precious metals, didn't trade them and consider them
31:59
part of my lifetime savings, Chia, 71, said in an interview
32:05
with Bloomberg News. Eventually the whole thing
32:08
became larger and larger. Yes, Mr. Chia, I bet it did.
32:13
OK, we'll go to the green part next.
32:17
I just want to point out to you, right, this is a guy who is a
32:20
value investor, was very successful, made over a billion
32:25
dollars. And what he's telling us is he
32:27
bought gold. But I think the big message
32:29
here, cuz you guys are always asking me how much gold should I
32:32
own? How much silver should I own?
32:34
I'll just tell you what I, and I think it aligns with what he's
32:37
saying. I always would buy any precious
32:39
metals that I would buy, I looked at as generational
32:43
wealth. I never sold.
32:44
I've never sold. People say, how do you sell?
32:46
I'm not an expert on selling precious metals because I've
32:49
never sold. Okay, any metal that I may have
32:52
owned, you know, we keep it off site, but it to me, it's
32:55
generational wealth. It's not something that I'm
32:57
looking to to trade and look at what how that worked for him as
33:02
well. All right, in green.
33:03
This is where it gets real interesting.
33:05
The bullish call on gold makes Chia A distinct outlier in the
33:10
world of ultra high net worth investing.
33:13
So he's not the norm. OK, this guy who made all this
33:17
money on his own and bought gold even as bullion keeps hitting
33:22
record highs. According to UBS Global Family
33:26
Office report of 2025, that's the massive Swiss bank UBS, the
33:33
average allocation to gold and precious metals was just 2% in
33:39
2024. Do you hear a songbird singing
33:43
in the background? Because my fellow investors and
33:47
gold and silver, that is actually good news.
33:49
You may say, what are you crazy around?
33:51
Only though, they're saying there's only 2% of the wealthy
33:54
people in the world have their money or only is it 2%?
33:58
Hold on, let's go back. 2% of the people or 2% of the money.
34:03
Let's see the average yellow of the money, which is even better.
34:08
So only shoot. Hold on, guys.
34:11
Sorry. We're the the technology is
34:13
screwing up here. Only 2% of the wealthy family
34:16
money in the world is in gold and silver.
34:19
That's good news. You know why?
34:23
OK. It's the law of small numbers,
34:26
which is something that we're going to trademark down here in
34:28
Ron's basement, OK, Because 2% is a small number.
34:33
Let's say that the world family offices wake up the big sheep,
34:37
that's the big herd. The big herd, let's say they
34:41
wake up and let's say these all of a sudden say, you know what,
34:44
like we talked about earlier, guys, these bonds are going down
34:48
in value. These stocks are going down in
34:50
value. This real estate, what are we
34:53
going to do? We'll put it into precious
34:56
metals. What we'll do, those
34:57
sophisticated family office, if they go from 2% to 10%, that's
35:03
five times more money coming into the sector.
35:09
The world is changing like never, ever, ever before.
35:14
You want some more good news and this could bring, this can be
35:18
good. You may say, well, how could
35:20
that be good for physical silver in the long run?
35:23
OK, I'm going to show you something that is a big deal
35:27
that's happening and happening right now in the financial
35:30
world. Those, those fancy people at
35:32
hedge funds, those fancy people at those family offices, guys,
35:37
that could be a flood of money coming into gold and silver, but
35:41
in particular silver because silver, excuse me yet again, did
35:46
it. Sorry guys, let's go check this
35:51
out. This will put a big, big, big
35:54
smile on your face. This is the CEO of Scottsdale
35:58
Mint. Just put this out.
36:00
Silver is now once again the second most valuable asset by
36:04
market cap in the world, only behind gold, and we are happy to
36:09
be behind gold, he says. A majority of quote UN quote
36:13
financial advisors might be clueless about what is going on
36:18
and why. And to think the majority of the
36:21
population doesn't have proper allocation either to the metals.
36:26
And there it is right there. Hold on, hold on.
36:34
Excuse me, gold number one with a market cap.
36:38
Hold on, let's get the markers out.
36:40
We'll get the crayons out. Gold, right?
36:43
Number one, I'll circle the number one gold, $32 trillion
36:48
market cap. We're fine with silver being,
36:51
oh, number two, most valuable asset in the world with a $5.3
36:58
trillion market cap. Who's in #3 NVIDIA, I want you
37:02
to think about this. Who's in #4 Google.
37:06
Who's in #5 Apple. I'm an Android guy, but that's
37:10
besides the point. Who's in #6 Microsoft.
37:13
Who's in #7 Amazon, NVIDIA, Google, Apple, Microsoft,
37:19
Amazon. Do you realize, OK, when people
37:22
start to wake up and, and, and know that those stocks are over
37:27
valued if just a small fraction of those people, And that's just
37:33
the top five, right behind gold and silver in the general
37:37
markets start to move into the precious metals market.
37:41
Guys, it's a bit it's there's just not the room available.
37:45
It is literally like us right now.
37:48
We are we already look all you new people welcome, welcome to
37:51
the basement. This channel we got 2000 people
37:55
That's big. OK, look, 2000 people are in the
37:59
basement right now together. We're we're we're convening
38:03
right to talk about our favorite thing gold and silver.
38:06
The boat is getting crowded. I'm going to start limiting this
38:09
at 2000 people per per live stream.
38:12
The boat. So 75 lights.
38:15
Oh, wow. Thank you, Susie, 500.
38:17
All right, let's get please give this a thumbs up.
38:19
Upstairs, Susie just chimed in. Hold on.
38:23
Could you please rally at the troops and tell him to get his
38:25
500 over? He did OK, she says I did
38:31
anyway. The boat is getting crowded,
38:34
Right? This it really is a silver and
38:37
gold lifeboat. OK, there's there's no more
38:39
seats OK when those people want to get in the lifeboat right,
38:44
are you going to give your seat up right?
38:46
The it's the seats are going to get very, very expensive.
38:50
Now look again, I'm not a financial advisor always please
38:53
be responsible to what you do yes, I will ring the gong.
38:57
I want to say thank you to my channel sponsors that sponsor
39:00
the gold and silver content first Mint and 1st mining gold
39:05
OK, we had a special sponsor for today's video Apollo Silver.
39:09
I want to say thank you to you for pointing me down here.
39:11
We're going to ring the gong. We're going to continue on an
39:14
unbelievable ride with gold and silver.
39:17
But today, because we got 500 thumbs up, we're going to ring
39:20
the golden gong for continued good luck.
39:24
Three times 600. Whoa, It's a big deal because
39:35
this channel is exploding and absolutely is not because of my
39:39
dynamic personality or boyish good looks.
39:42
It's because more people are coming into the precious metals.
39:46
More people are waking up. OK, that's the reality.
39:50
That's what's happening right now.
39:52
What's the guy's name? I'm not Hunter Thompson.
39:56
Oh, shoot. Oh, darn it.
39:57
I can't remember the guy's name. The conservative guy that was on
40:01
Fox. He's in the gold and silver now.
40:04
Why can I not remember his name? Shoot.
40:06
Hold on. Hey, Susie, who's the guy on
40:09
that used to be on Fox that has this, like, big and silver and
40:12
gold now? Yeah, he used to be on Fox News.
40:20
Come on, somebody help me. Oh, man.
40:22
All right. I'll remember next time.
40:25
Darn it. That's going to drive me crazy.
40:27
OK. All right, guys.
40:28
Hey, thank you for being here again, if you haven't
40:31
subscribed, please do. That helps out the channel.
40:34
We appreciate it. Everything here is free, right?
40:37
But your time is not free. Your time is valuable.
40:40
So thank you for coming down here.
40:42
Take care, All right? We're in for a wild good ride in
40:45
the precious metals. And I will see you.
40:49
Yes, you next time.
