- 0:00Speaker 1: So I think after you've done something more than once,
- 0:02Speaker 1: you can say you've established a tradition. I like to
- 0:05Speaker 1: think so Katie and I have a tradition now of
- 0:09Speaker 1: every time there's a new twenty eight whatever's.
- 0:13Speaker 2: Twenty years, twenty eight decades, wherever it's going to go.
- 0:16Speaker 1: Because we both enjoy the twenty eight days later. Yes,
- 0:20Speaker 1: a favorite, a favorite zombie movie infected. I'll stand by that,
- 0:24Speaker 1: especially now.
- 0:24Speaker 3: Okay, we'll explain to people your your position on that.
- 0:28Speaker 2: I've always said this movie is an infection movie is
- 0:30Speaker 2: not necessarily a zombie movie because they are infected with
- 0:33Speaker 2: the rage virus. It's not a thing where they die
- 0:36Speaker 2: and then they come back to life. It's if this,
- 0:38Speaker 2: if their blood gets in your stream, in your mouth
- 0:40Speaker 2: and your eyes, you immediately start to turn.
- 0:43Speaker 4: Okay, I've always like catching rabies.
- 0:46Speaker 2: I've always said this is an infection, it's not zombies.
- 0:50Speaker 1: Yeah, and they actually address that finally, So it's a
- 0:56Speaker 1: Ray Findes is back as doctor Kelson. And remember Ray Findes,
- 1:02Speaker 1: you know, hey, the English Patient, British List Voldemort.
- 1:08Speaker 3: I mean, why is this.
- 1:12Speaker 1: Person in you know, a horror movie? He does so
- 1:16Speaker 1: good because because it's kind.
- 1:17Speaker 3: Of more than a horror movie because they paid me,
- 1:20Speaker 3: I mean, not just that he brings something else to this.
- 1:24Speaker 1: Yes, and so this is the continuation of twenty eight
- 1:28Speaker 1: years Later, which came out a year ago. They recorded
- 1:32Speaker 1: them or filmed them at the same time to back.
- 1:34Speaker 5: Yeah, and there's one more, right, Yeah, there's another one coming.
- 1:37Speaker 1: And they leave the door wide open at the end,
- 1:39Speaker 1: which is Katie and I were kind of high fiving
- 1:42Speaker 1: at the end.
- 1:43Speaker 2: Yeah, we're pretty said, we're pretty excited. I'm excited that
- 1:46Speaker 2: I'm excited about this extending franchise, to be honest. So
- 1:50Speaker 2: but it's a good it's just a good movie, really is.
- 1:53Speaker 2: They do great with it.
- 1:55Speaker 3: And there is lots of a penis yep.
- 2:00Speaker 4: Oh yeah, that was there only need to needed to
- 2:04Speaker 4: be one for it to be lots.
- 2:05Speaker 2: But that there there's a lot more than just one.
- 2:09Speaker 1: I mean, but like that guy, yeah, yeah, Samson, Sampson's back.
- 2:14Speaker 4: Yeah, so there's a whole bunch of it's a whole
- 2:16Speaker 4: band of big penis infected.
- 2:18Speaker 2: Well, you got to remember, after twenty years, zombies are
- 2:22Speaker 2: not going to zombies are infected. They're not gonna have clothes.
- 2:24Speaker 2: They've all ripped off out there.
- 2:26Speaker 4: So I mean, but I mean, did something about the
- 2:28Speaker 4: infection make them?
- 2:30Speaker 2: No, no, no, it's just there was a big guy.
- 2:33Speaker 2: It's a big guy. So we went to the movies
- 2:35Speaker 2: at eleven o'clock yesterday morning with nobody in the theater
- 2:38Speaker 2: at all.
- 2:39Speaker 4: That's the way to do it.
- 2:40Speaker 1: It was a.
- 2:40Speaker 2: Beautiful scene we had. We have a picture of the
- 2:44Speaker 2: whole of Gina in the whole theater.
- 2:45Speaker 3: We had a private screening.
- 2:47Speaker 2: Yeah, it was for us.
- 2:48Speaker 3: We were the only two feet so we.
- 2:50Speaker 2: Sat right in the center and enjoyed every moment of it.
- 2:53Speaker 2: Found out there's some really good movies coming out ready
- 2:57Speaker 2: or not. Here I come, I'm excited about that one.
- 3:00Speaker 2: But this movie finally addresses the thing that I have
- 3:03Speaker 2: been saying for so long, which is infection, and I'm
- 3:06Speaker 2: really excited about that. And to not tell details about it,
- 3:10Speaker 2: I will. I walked out of that movie with Genelle
- 3:12Speaker 2: yesterday and I said, I told you, I said it
- 3:15Speaker 2: from the beginning.
- 3:17Speaker 4: So what the infectant thing? Yeah, it's not zombies. Well,
- 3:23Speaker 4: so so give me give us an idea of the
- 3:26Speaker 4: overarching theme of this thing. So because the first one,
- 3:30Speaker 4: I mean, it's not just a it's not just a
- 3:33Speaker 4: you know, let's scare people.
- 3:35Speaker 2: It's about survival and it's about trying to discover after
- 3:40Speaker 2: twenty eight years of living with this kind of thing.
- 3:44Speaker 1: So doctor Kelson, he was in the last movie, the
- 3:47Speaker 1: twenty eight years later we meet him.
- 3:50Speaker 3: He's a doctor.
- 3:51Speaker 4: He's in charge of the Bone Temple, who.
- 3:53Speaker 1: Has who has survived? And his figure is trying to
- 3:57Speaker 1: figure out how how how this virus works, how the
- 4:01Speaker 1: virus works, and how to manage it?
- 4:03Speaker 4: How to manage it? Yeah, okay, And is he making
- 4:06Speaker 4: any headway?
- 4:07Speaker 3: He's he's a smart guy.
- 4:09Speaker 2: He's a doctor.
- 4:10Speaker 3: He's a doctor.
- 4:11Speaker 2: He's a doctor. So he has a lot of books.
- 4:13Speaker 4: So what's what's with the what's with him gathering up
- 4:16Speaker 4: with the bones and building this word?
- 4:17Speaker 3: So that's his way of honoring the dead?
- 4:19Speaker 1: Yeah, so what he as he he spends those twenty
- 4:23Speaker 1: eight years after trying to figure out how what's happened here,
- 4:27Speaker 1: how the infection works, and if there's anything that can
- 4:29Speaker 1: be done about it, and honoring the dead. He gathers
- 4:32Speaker 1: up all bodies and brings them and makes this temple
- 4:36Speaker 1: out of them as he hopes that they're not forgotten.
- 4:39Speaker 2: Yeah, so he cremates them, and he continues to build
- 4:42Speaker 2: the Skull Tower and.
- 4:43Speaker 4: All does he try to, does he try to? Does
- 4:46Speaker 4: he is he able to communicate with them?
- 4:48Speaker 2: And I don't want to give anything away, No spoilers, Bill,
- 4:52Speaker 2: this movie's been out for a week. We're not saying
- 4:54Speaker 2: anything of that sort. I will say there is a
- 4:57Speaker 2: touch between religion and science in this movie. There's a
- 5:00Speaker 2: there's a part where they come together. You got to
- 5:05Speaker 2: see the movie to find.
- 5:06Speaker 1: Out there's a roving band of of naughty teenagers.
- 5:11Speaker 5: Oh the ones we met at the end of the Yeah, yeah.
- 5:13Speaker 4: Okay, there's that.
- 5:14Speaker 1: So that's a competing storyline that's going on at the
- 5:17Speaker 1: same time he's trying to figure out Yeah, and they
- 5:20Speaker 1: are they are a bad, bad.
- 5:21Speaker 2: Bad They're called the Fingers, the fingers Fingers, Yep, that's
- 5:27Speaker 2: what they're called. That's what they call themselves.
- 5:30Speaker 3: And I have a question.
- 5:31Speaker 1: So if you're rounded up by a by a band
- 5:35Speaker 1: of naughty teenagers and there's like four of you, and
- 5:39Speaker 1: they're gonna they're gonna take you, you know, into a
- 5:42Speaker 1: barn and.
- 5:43Speaker 4: Do me and three other people, yeah, yeah.
- 5:45Speaker 1: And do bad things to you. I had this problem
- 5:48Speaker 1: to watching Walking Dead often. Why are we just going
- 5:52Speaker 1: along with it? Yeah, okay, I'll just line up and
- 5:56Speaker 1: go into the Why aren't you fighting along the way.
- 5:58Speaker 2: You already think you're gonna die, fight to the death.
- 6:01Speaker 1: I guess I'll go in there with everybody. I don't
- 6:04Speaker 1: understand just going along with it.
- 6:06Speaker 4: Well, because you need to move the plot along.
- 6:08Speaker 2: I mean, that's, you know, fair plot armor.
- 6:11Speaker 1: But I want to see people going like, no, I'm
- 6:13Speaker 1: not you gotta kill me right here in the kitchen.
- 6:16Speaker 4: I'm not going to go into the bar. Then then
- 6:19Speaker 4: you're you need that you have a short movie.
- 6:24Speaker 5: Trap the trash Man says, the Iron Maiden part had
- 6:27Speaker 5: me sure.
- 6:28Speaker 2: Yes, yes, I was going to yeah that. I didn't
- 6:30Speaker 2: want to mention the album what was played?
- 6:32Speaker 3: All right, just let that be.
- 6:34Speaker 2: But yes, it was beautiful. That was a great part.
- 6:37Speaker 1: All right, there's another music plays an important part, Yes,
- 6:40Speaker 1: huge part.
- 6:41Speaker 5: There's another texture says I saw and really enjoyed twenty
- 6:44Speaker 5: eight days the CenTra Bullock Rehab movie twenty eight days later.
- 6:49Speaker 5: It was really a confusing sequel.
- 6:51Speaker 2: Yeah it was, But I am excited and I like
- 6:57Speaker 2: our tradition. I this is fun, it's fun. To go
- 7:00Speaker 2: with you.
- 7:02Speaker 4: Now, this one was directed by a woman, not Danny Boyle,
- 7:05Speaker 4: but it's a woman whose name and the third one
- 7:09Speaker 4: who who's directing that is that Danny Boyle.
- 7:11Speaker 5: I don't know yet. They probably do have a director,
- 7:15Speaker 5: but I don't know.
- 7:16Speaker 2: There was a part where Gina reached over and grabbed me.
- 7:20Speaker 2: It was excitement, so be anticipating of that.
- 7:23Speaker 4: Did you have popcorn? Now?
- 7:27Speaker 2: We should have, But at the same time, I feel
- 7:29Speaker 2: that kind of bad because there was nobody else there.
- 7:31Speaker 2: There was one single guy working there.
- 7:34Speaker 3: Don't feel bad about that.
- 7:35Speaker 2: I mean, I guess he had the whole nobody was
- 7:37Speaker 2: there too. It was quite It was quite weird being
- 7:40Speaker 2: at the theater so early and it being so quiet.
- 7:42Speaker 4: God, I've done that several times. I used to do
- 7:45Speaker 4: it every once in a while when we were probably corners,
- 7:49Speaker 4: and I would go go to the movies right after
- 7:52Speaker 4: the show and be the only person in the theater.
- 7:55Speaker 4: And I thought, I loved doing.
- 7:57Speaker 5: That's that's I go Sunday mornings, the only.
- 8:00Speaker 2: One I've ever done. It was so thanks. It is fun.
- 8:02Speaker 2: It is really fun to have the whole theater to ourselves.
- 8:04Speaker 4: And be able to talk for it now there. There
- 8:07Speaker 4: had been rumors that Killian Murphy again.
- 8:11Speaker 2: No spoilers, I plead the fifth.
- 8:15Speaker 3: Although he's listed in the I know.
- 8:17Speaker 2: I went and searched it and he's listed right on there.
- 8:20Speaker 4: So he's a producer or is he listed as a
- 8:24Speaker 4: producer or as an.
- 8:25Speaker 2: Actor because I don't know.
- 8:27Speaker 5: Actually, he did the first movie for next to nothing.
- 8:30Speaker 5: I mean, the first movie costs next to nothing to
- 8:32Speaker 5: make and was so good.
- 8:34Speaker 4: Yeah, and he's he's been, he's been a producer of
- 8:37Speaker 4: all the rest of them.
- 8:38Speaker 3: So go see it.
- 8:40Speaker 2: Yeah, all right.
- 8:42Speaker 3: And Tron Means gave it a really good give it
- 8:43Speaker 3: three and a half stary.
- 8:44Speaker 2: It was a great movie. I like it. It makes
- 8:46Speaker 2: you think, It really makes you think. Oh thanks, all right,
