- 0:06Speaker 2: And Grim bonus episode.
- 0:08Speaker 1: Yeah, so this is an official episode by any means.
- 0:11Speaker 1: It's sorry, it is not. I kind of stumbled that
- 0:13Speaker 1: it is not an official episode. This is just listener tales.
- 0:18Speaker 1: So those people who are out there who are awesome,
- 0:21Speaker 1: who listen to our show submitted some creepy ass shit
- 0:25Speaker 1: they have been through and we're going to read that.
- 0:27Speaker 2: Okay, I'm very intrigued, so am I.
- 0:30Speaker 1: I want to know what your reaction is to some
- 0:31Speaker 1: of these because they're kind of creepy.
- 0:32Speaker 2: Have you read through all of them already? Well?
- 0:36Speaker 1: I have, because I mean I had to select for today.
- 0:38Speaker 1: We got it quite a bit. I couldn't go through
- 0:40Speaker 1: and do all of them. So what we have, they're
- 0:44Speaker 1: they're they're pretty, they're pretty, uh well, I don't want
- 0:47Speaker 1: to give it away. I'll just leave it at that.
- 0:48Speaker 1: They're they're interesting, that's crazy.
- 0:50Speaker 3: They're spooky, legit things that have happened to some of
- 0:53Speaker 3: our listeners.
- 0:54Speaker 1: Correct.
- 0:55Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, I feel like I already got goosebumps here.
- 1:00Speaker 1: And then if there is time I might share a
- 1:03Speaker 1: little bit of a story at the end of your
- 1:05Speaker 1: own of my own, so we'll see. Are you ready
- 1:08Speaker 1: for this?
- 1:09Speaker 2: I'm ready, You're ready.
- 1:10Speaker 1: Okay. So for listener tales, we are starting off here
- 1:13Speaker 1: with Cheyenne or Shy. I'm not going to be sharing
- 1:17Speaker 1: any last names from anyone, just to keep personal information quiet.
- 1:21Speaker 2: That's good.
- 1:22Speaker 1: But Shy has sent us this. She says, this is
- 1:25Speaker 1: the time I dated a murderer.
- 1:28Speaker 3: Oh okay, yeah, starting out strong there, right.
- 1:34Speaker 1: So I'm going to read verbatim what Cheyenne wrote. So
- 1:37Speaker 1: imagine me as cheyennecause she wrote this in the first person. Yes,
- 1:40Speaker 1: I was fifteen years old, a sophomore at high school
- 1:44Speaker 1: in South Florida, and a little confused about where my
- 1:47Speaker 1: life was heading. As most of us were in high school,
- 1:50Speaker 1: I was depressed and I experimented with drugs often. Picture
- 1:54Speaker 1: up a tet, one hundred pound, light skinned girl who
- 1:56Speaker 1: only wore black and had dyed colorful hair, that listens
- 2:00Speaker 1: into heavy metal rock music and carried around a set
- 2:03Speaker 1: of drumsticks. I met a guy named David, and he
- 2:06Speaker 1: was a little older than me. I think at the
- 2:09Speaker 1: time he was eighteen nineteen. We met at the civic
- 2:12Speaker 1: Center that was ten minutes walking distance from my house.
- 2:17Speaker 1: He was friends with my ex for girlfriend, who was
- 2:20Speaker 1: still friendly with me, and his brother was my friend
- 2:23Speaker 1: as well. We gravitated towards each other like moths to
- 2:27Speaker 1: a flame. We had this deeply misunderstood feeling about ourselves
- 2:32Speaker 1: and that was one of the things that really brought
- 2:34Speaker 1: us together. We spent every day together for months. He
- 2:37Speaker 1: would wait for me by my house as I walked
- 2:40Speaker 1: home from school, or he would wait at the bus
- 2:42Speaker 1: stop for me when I decided to take the bus.
- 2:45Speaker 1: We would smoke weed and do a couple of other
- 2:48Speaker 1: things together. Once I brought him home, my mom said
- 2:52Speaker 1: she didn't like him, but wouldn't intervene in my relationship.
- 2:56Speaker 1: We broke up shortly after him meeting my mom and
- 2:59Speaker 1: family because he was going to the Army and I
- 3:02Speaker 1: was going through some mental health issues that made it
- 3:04Speaker 1: difficult to focus on someone else in the relationship. One day,
- 3:09Speaker 1: I stopped seeing him around the neighborhood. I questioned it,
- 3:12Speaker 1: but didn't think anything of it until I saw him
- 3:16Speaker 1: on the news one night. David Smith not his real
- 3:20Speaker 1: last name, arrested for murder. I was stunned and shocked. Wow,
- 3:27Speaker 1: my mouth dropped open, and I swear you could hear
- 3:30Speaker 1: it hit the floor. I was completely confused. I instantly
- 3:34Speaker 1: took my phone out and googled it. He and a
- 3:37Speaker 1: roommate were arrested for murdering their landlord.
- 3:40Speaker 2: Wow.
- 3:41Speaker 1: The landlord was bound, gagged, beaten, and rolled up in
- 3:46Speaker 1: a rug and tossed in the canal in the back
- 3:49Speaker 1: of the house with a box of his belongings. They
- 3:53Speaker 1: murdered the elderly landlord. Oh my gosh, I think he
- 3:57Speaker 1: was in his seventies because they didn't want to pay rent.
- 4:01Speaker 1: I was disgusted and appalled, but I could now say
- 4:05Speaker 1: I dated a murderer.
- 4:09Speaker 2: Holy shit.
- 4:11Speaker 1: Could you imagine seeing your ex on the news only
- 4:14Speaker 1: to find out that they killed someone while you're dating them?
- 4:19Speaker 2: Oh? Were they together? But yeah, at the time of the.
- 4:24Speaker 3: Murder, well, I believe so, or maybe it was afterwards,
- 4:27Speaker 3: though I don't know how well.
- 4:29Speaker 1: I mean she did say sometime later, so actually it
- 4:31Speaker 1: could have been that they committed it afterwards.
- 4:34Speaker 3: Right, But still that he had it in him, yes,
- 4:37Speaker 3: to commit murder and you were dating him? Yes, Yes,
- 4:42Speaker 3: that is very unnerving. Yeah, I think I would have
- 4:47Speaker 3: trouble sleeping and wondering.
- 4:51Speaker 1: I would be thanking my lucky stars as it ended
- 4:54Speaker 1: when it did.
- 4:55Speaker 3: Actually that too, because yeah, if you were still dating,
- 4:58Speaker 3: could you imagine eh hitting?
- 5:00Speaker 2: Oh okay, that's that's a lot.
- 5:03Speaker 1: Do you think that's going to be something that we
- 5:04Speaker 1: can beat? Well, I'm not going to compare them to
- 5:06Speaker 1: each other, but I mean that that that's setting the
- 5:08Speaker 1: bar high as all that is very.
- 5:09Speaker 2: Much so, because yeah, that doesn't it gets I would
- 5:14Speaker 2: struggle with that one.
- 5:15Speaker 1: Yeah yeah.
- 5:16Speaker 2: But also like you're being on the positive side, like shit, yeah.
- 5:20Speaker 1: Yeah, she got out.
- 5:21Speaker 2: I got out of that.
- 5:22Speaker 1: Yeah, no longer associating with this motherfucker. I mean it's
- 5:27Speaker 1: terrible that he Really you're going to fucking murder your
- 5:30Speaker 1: landlord because you don't want to pay rent?
- 5:31Speaker 3: Yeah, really, there's no way that you're you're going to
- 5:34Speaker 3: get away with that, Like.
- 5:35Speaker 1: What the fuck? Yeah, And of all the reasons to
- 5:37Speaker 1: kill someone, I think killing just for the sake of
- 5:40Speaker 1: killing is a better reason than I don't want to
- 5:42Speaker 1: pay rent.
- 5:43Speaker 2: Yeah, but not that.
- 5:45Speaker 3: Either a good reason though if they were on drugs
- 5:49Speaker 3: or something at the time when they were doing it,
- 5:51Speaker 3: or oh, potentially right or under some influence of something. Still,
- 5:55Speaker 3: I mean, that's no reason whatever, But no.
- 5:58Speaker 1: Reason is a good reason. No, Holy, okay, all right
- 6:03Speaker 1: on to the next one. So well, I mean I
- 6:06Speaker 1: should say, first and foremost, thank you Shy for sending
- 6:08Speaker 1: that in. That's a crazy story.
- 6:10Speaker 2: Yeah, no, we appreciate you sharing that with us. Wow.
- 6:14Speaker 1: And next up we have Wendy. So Wendy has this
- 6:18Speaker 1: to say.
- 6:19Speaker 2: Okay, let's hear what's Wendy got to say?
- 6:21Speaker 1: Well, this is what Wendy is. Now.
- 6:22Speaker 2: I'm like, do I want to know?
- 6:24Speaker 1: She says this and again, reading verbatim. We lived in
- 6:28Speaker 1: an older apartment above a bar closed for years on
- 6:32Speaker 1: the south side of Milwaukee. We always heard weird noises
- 6:36Speaker 1: at all hours, and my fiance was actually touched in
- 6:40Speaker 1: the attic. We went to bed one night and fell
- 6:44Speaker 1: asleep fairly quickly. I woke up in the middle of
- 6:47Speaker 1: the night because I heard something in the living room.
- 6:50Speaker 1: Both of us have insomnia, so it's not unusual for
- 6:53Speaker 1: one of us to wake up and go to the
- 6:54Speaker 1: other room to read or play video games or whatever.
- 6:59Speaker 1: I looked down to the bedroom door and saw a
- 7:00Speaker 1: dark figure outside the bedroom door and heard shuffling noises.
- 7:05Speaker 2: Gosh.
- 7:06Speaker 1: I of course thought it was my fiance, so I
- 7:08Speaker 1: yelled at him to be quiet and come back to bed.
- 7:11Speaker 1: No response. I repeated it and got no response again,
- 7:17Speaker 1: so I simply said, we'll just be quiet please. I
- 7:20Speaker 1: rolled over to go back to sleep and rolled into
- 7:24Speaker 1: my fiance, who had never left the bed. I got
- 7:27Speaker 1: instant chills and covered my head with the blanket and
- 7:30Speaker 1: shut my eyes while trying to get as close to
- 7:33Speaker 1: him as possible. I eventually fell back to sleep. Creep
- 7:37Speaker 1: me out big time and is something I will never forget.
- 7:43Speaker 2: Okay.
- 7:43Speaker 3: The fact that you just like we're able to go
- 7:46Speaker 3: back to sleep is mind blowing, right.
- 7:50Speaker 2: I just think if that was.
- 7:51Speaker 3: Me, I'd be like, Ben, wake the fuck up, like
- 7:54Speaker 3: we're out. That's terrifying. I'd be terrified.
- 7:59Speaker 1: I'm what, Okay, I'm curious, Wendy, shoot us another message.
- 8:02Speaker 1: Do you think it possibly could have been like a
- 8:06Speaker 1: nightmare of sorts? Do you know you were awake? Because
- 8:09Speaker 1: I know insomnia can sometimes like mess with an individual's mind,
- 8:12Speaker 1: like sleep paralysis and stuff. So is it possible that
- 8:16Speaker 1: it was a dream? Yeah, I mean I doubt it.
- 8:19Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure she's she's certain, but I'm just curious.
- 8:22Speaker 3: We're assuming this is a ghost right of sorts, and
- 8:25Speaker 3: not like a burglar.
- 8:26Speaker 1: I'm well, I'm assuming she didn't say that she was.
- 8:28Speaker 3: Robbed, yeah, or just someone breaking in though, like's, oh
- 8:32Speaker 3: my gosh, I don't know either way, that's too much. Yeah,
- 8:35Speaker 3: i'd be terrified. And the fact that you went back
- 8:37Speaker 3: to sleep like, well.
- 8:38Speaker 1: Done, no shit, But I do have to give her credit.
- 8:41Speaker 1: I mean, putting the covers over your head, that does
- 8:44Speaker 1: solve a lot of problems.
- 8:45Speaker 2: That protects you from anything, right.
- 8:47Speaker 1: Nothing's getting through that barrier.
- 8:50Speaker 2: Oh my gosh.
- 8:51Speaker 1: So yeah, dark figure in the hallway. I'm surprised that
- 8:55Speaker 1: your fiance didn't wake up.
- 8:56Speaker 3: Yeah, well, I mean, honestly, would you though you're pretty
- 9:00Speaker 3: heavy sleeper at times? Touche to sche like there's been
- 9:05Speaker 3: oh yeah, I have literally like we live in African
- 9:07Speaker 3: tiny house and I remember Kiwi barfing up top and
- 9:12Speaker 3: are loft and me like coming downstairs. I even actually
- 9:15Speaker 3: fucking turned the light on and I'm like trying to
- 9:18Speaker 3: clean this up, and you were just like either you're
- 9:20Speaker 3: pretending because you didn't want to help, or you were sleeping.
- 9:24Speaker 1: No, I have no recollection of such event. So I
- 9:27Speaker 1: was out.
- 9:28Speaker 2: Because it was the middle of the night, and I
- 9:29Speaker 2: accidentally turned the loft light on. Huh, and that didn't
- 9:33Speaker 2: even wake you. I was a little surprised. Huh.
- 9:36Speaker 1: Interesting with my face covered by the blankets, because again,
- 9:39Speaker 1: that barrier protects you from everything.
- 9:41Speaker 2: I don't know. I can't recall all right.
- 9:44Speaker 1: On to the next one here, So we got Laurie
- 9:46Speaker 1: who sent this one in. This story takes place back
- 9:50Speaker 1: in nineteen six in the nineteen sixties, Okay, when I
- 9:53Speaker 1: was a little girl. I'm the youngest of three girls
- 9:56Speaker 1: when this happened. I was three years old, my next sister,
- 9:59Speaker 1: Christy was and my oldest sister, Roxanne, was eight. It
- 10:03Speaker 1: was Halloween and we were all dressed and ready to
- 10:05Speaker 1: go out trick or treating. The three of us had
- 10:08Speaker 1: never been allowed to go out on our own, so
- 10:11Speaker 1: Roxanne was doing some major pleading with our folks, and
- 10:15Speaker 1: she was old enough to take us and be responsible
- 10:17Speaker 1: for us. We had a specific route we had to
- 10:20Speaker 1: stick to, and they agreed on a time when we
- 10:22Speaker 1: had to be back home. We had been out for
- 10:25Speaker 1: about an hour when we ended up approaching this house.
- 10:28Speaker 1: We walked on the front porch, rang the bell and waited.
- 10:33Speaker 1: After a while, a guy opened the door. We yelled
- 10:36Speaker 1: trick or treat, giddy with excitement. The guy opens the
- 10:40Speaker 1: door a little more and we see a gorilla chained
- 10:43Speaker 1: up in the corner of the living room to the wall.
- 10:46Speaker 1: He's jumping up and down and pulling on the chain.
- 10:50Speaker 1: The guy at the door says, it's okay, he's not
- 10:53Speaker 1: getting out of those chains. What. At that moment, the
- 10:58Speaker 1: gorilla breaks the chain and charges towards the door. Oh
- 11:02Speaker 1: my gosh, directly at the three of us. At this point,
- 11:06Speaker 1: I don't really remember much. My oldest six sister, Roxanne,
- 11:09Speaker 1: grabbed me and my other sister and we ran down
- 11:12Speaker 1: the driveway as fast as we could. As we were fleeing,
- 11:15Speaker 1: the gorilla had come out the door and was chasing
- 11:19Speaker 1: after us. As we got across the street, the gorilla stops,
- 11:24Speaker 1: takes off its head and yells, hey, girls, come back,
- 11:27Speaker 1: It's just a joke.
- 11:29Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, Okay, I'm like, this is freaking terrifying.
- 11:33Speaker 1: Which she says, which was the farthest thing from our minds.
- 11:37Speaker 1: Me and my sister Christy were crying and totally terrified.
- 11:41Speaker 1: We were about four blocks from home, which meant nothing
- 11:45Speaker 1: to us as we ran the entire way home.
- 11:48Speaker 2: Oh my gosh.
- 11:49Speaker 1: After we got home, it took quite a while for
- 11:52Speaker 1: us to calm down enough to tell our folks about
- 11:54Speaker 1: what just happened. When we realized I did not even
- 11:57Speaker 1: have my Halloween candy bag. I must have dropped it
- 12:00Speaker 1: as we're seeing for our lives. Just then, my father
- 12:04Speaker 1: told my sister Roxanne to show him the house. My
- 12:08Speaker 1: father was on a mission to find those guys and
- 12:10Speaker 1: give a good ass chewing, which he did. When they
- 12:15Speaker 1: came back, he now had my candy bag, saying, I
- 12:18Speaker 1: bet they never do that again. To this day, fifty
- 12:22Speaker 1: seven years later, I can't even look at a gorilla,
- 12:25Speaker 1: real or fake without being totally terrified. Every time the
- 12:30Speaker 1: three of us get together, this story always comes up.
- 12:34Speaker 1: We all can laugh about it now, but that was
- 12:36Speaker 1: not the case years ago. Roxanne still swears to this
- 12:40Speaker 1: day that she wasn't scared and knew it was all
- 12:43Speaker 1: fake along, which Christie and I totally disagree with. She
- 12:47Speaker 1: was just as scared as we were. That is terrifying
- 12:52Speaker 1: and hilarious. I'm sorry it happened.
- 12:55Speaker 2: It's a bit hilarious, but those people probably went a
- 12:58Speaker 2: bit too far. Definitely can go too far. Oh shit
- 13:01Speaker 2: like that.
- 13:03Speaker 1: Yeah, especially this being in the in the sixties where
- 13:08Speaker 1: it's like this sort of stuff. I don't think me
- 13:10Speaker 1: mind you, I wasn't alive then, I don't think this
- 13:12Speaker 1: sort of stuff would have been occurring too much, Like
- 13:15Speaker 1: Halloween wasn't as big of a horrifying, terrifying thing, I
- 13:19Speaker 1: don't think from my perspective. But but yeah, could you
- 13:22Speaker 1: imagine fucking gorilla chained up chasing you like that?
- 13:26Speaker 3: Well, yeah, and it'cessially like at first to be like
- 13:29Speaker 3: so alarmed that this person has a gorilla in their
- 13:31Speaker 3: freaking house, no kidding, and then it, oh, it's not
- 13:36Speaker 3: going to get loose, and then this thing gets loose,
- 13:38Speaker 3: like I would actually probably piss myself, especially if you're
- 13:40Speaker 3: three years old.
- 13:41Speaker 1: Yeah, no kidding. I could like I could see okay,
- 13:44Speaker 1: playing the prank of like oh, it gets out and
- 13:46Speaker 1: then you close the door, but like chasing you down
- 13:48Speaker 1: the fuck yeah driveway and street, that is way too excessive.
- 13:52Speaker 2: That's yeah.
- 13:53Speaker 3: I have actually had some times though, like trigger trading,
- 13:56Speaker 3: where people have jumped out and scared you, and I mean, yeah,
- 14:02Speaker 3: I just don't even know if you could get away
- 14:04Speaker 3: with that nowadays necessarily.
- 14:07Speaker 1: I don't think so.
- 14:08Speaker 2: Yeah, you just have to have inflatable blow up shit
- 14:10Speaker 2: in your yard.
- 14:12Speaker 1: Yeah, you're right. Oh my gosh, I think if something
- 14:16Speaker 1: like that were to happen nowadays, I think it would
- 14:18Speaker 1: be more than just someone getting yelled at. I think
- 14:20Speaker 1: like cops would probably be involved, probably most likely.
- 14:23Speaker 2: Yeah, Oh my gosh, that is a story.
- 14:26Speaker 1: Now, that is quite the story. Thank you Laurie for sharing.
- 14:30Speaker 2: That, and I am curious though a follow up question?
- 14:33Speaker 2: Did you go trick or treating the next year?
- 14:35Speaker 1: Yeah? Have you gone trick or treating since ever? Again?
- 14:39Speaker 2: Yeah? Holyh and was.
- 14:41Speaker 1: That Halloween candy worth it? Our next one here comes
- 14:47Speaker 1: from Hannah to start. I don't really believe in a
- 14:50Speaker 1: whole lot of paranormal slash ghost phenomena, but I really
- 14:54Speaker 1: got to say, what happened to me really makes me
- 14:56Speaker 1: question my whole belief system. I need to give a
- 14:59Speaker 1: little back story though, before I get into it, so
- 15:01Speaker 1: bear with me. At the time of the event, I'm
- 15:04Speaker 1: eight years old. Kids are creepy and always seeing weird shit,
- 15:08Speaker 1: so makes sense my godmother was someone that I saw occasionally,
- 15:13Speaker 1: maybe like once a year, When I would visit her,
- 15:16Speaker 1: sometimes her best friend surely would be with her. I
- 15:19Speaker 1: only met Shirley a couple times, but from what I remember,
- 15:22Speaker 1: she was a sweet old woman. During this time, she
- 15:26Speaker 1: had a heart attack and was put into a medically
- 15:30Speaker 1: induced coma. However, I was not aware of this whatsoever.
- 15:35Speaker 1: Like I said, I only met her a couple of times,
- 15:37Speaker 1: so it wasn't really urgent news. Or sorry, it wasn't
- 15:40Speaker 1: really urgent news to inform a little eight year old
- 15:43Speaker 1: me this. Now, just keep all that in mind and
- 15:47Speaker 1: let's get into the actual story. Allow me to set
- 15:51Speaker 1: the scene. My friend Eric and I are hanging out
- 15:53Speaker 1: in her front yard of our suburban neighborhood, the good
- 15:57Speaker 1: old days before phones and iPads. Right, We were playing
- 16:01Speaker 1: a little game we called Sweet and Sour. So the
- 16:05Speaker 1: premise of it goes, we literally just stand on the
- 16:08Speaker 1: sidewalk outside wave at cars. If they wave back, they're sweet,
- 16:12Speaker 1: they don't, they're sour. Okay, yeah, you get the point.
- 16:18Speaker 1: It was probably around four PM, so the sun was
- 16:21Speaker 1: still up and shining. We played this game for about
- 16:24Speaker 1: an hour, waving at cars and cheering if they waved back.
- 16:27Speaker 1: Most would, some wouldn't, and somehow that entertained us. After
- 16:33Speaker 1: some time, a light brown, older looking car came around
- 16:36Speaker 1: the corner. We did our usual process, smiling and waving.
- 16:40Speaker 1: The car slowed down drastically and rolled unnervingly close to
- 16:45Speaker 1: us along the sidewalk. My first thought was, uh, oh,
- 16:49Speaker 1: my parents wore me about things like this. But then
- 16:53Speaker 1: as a car rolled directly in front of us, a
- 16:55Speaker 1: reassuring feeling swept over me. Just about three feet away
- 16:59Speaker 1: from me was my grandmother's friend. Surely, we waved back,
- 17:03Speaker 1: and the car drove off down the street until out
- 17:06Speaker 1: of view. I immediately looked over at Erica and said,
- 17:09Speaker 1: I think that was my godmother's friend. Think her name
- 17:12Speaker 1: is Shirley. We both shrugged and continued on our game
- 17:15Speaker 1: until I was called home for dinner. I had completely
- 17:18Speaker 1: disregarded the event and basically forgot that it happened that night.
- 17:22Speaker 1: The next evening, while eating dinner with my dad my brother,
- 17:25Speaker 1: my dad informed us that our godmother's best friend died.
- 17:29Speaker 1: She had a heart attack about a week prior and
- 17:32Speaker 1: sadly passed away last night Nacoma. This utterly baffled me.
- 17:38Speaker 1: How could this be possible? I literally just saw her
- 17:41Speaker 1: driving around last night, with a mundane event now becoming
- 17:45Speaker 1: extremely puzzling. I immediately told my dad what had happened.
- 17:49Speaker 1: At first, he thought I must have been confused. She
- 17:51Speaker 1: had been in Nacoma for over a week. Maybe I
- 17:53Speaker 1: just saw someone that looked like her. I insisted it
- 17:57Speaker 1: was her, describing her appearance to a tea. Then I
- 18:01Speaker 1: recounted the car she was driving. Granted, in a few
- 18:04Speaker 1: times that I met her, I had never seen her car.
- 18:07Speaker 1: My dad's face went white when he said there was
- 18:11Speaker 1: an old, light brown car. He told me that's her car.
- 18:16Speaker 1: As much as I had questioned myself, I know what
- 18:18Speaker 1: I saw. Even more compelling is the fact that Erica
- 18:22Speaker 1: saw her too. I don't know if it was a spirit,
- 18:25Speaker 1: a ghost, or something else, but it was her. It
- 18:29Speaker 1: wasn't scary or chilling or anything that you'd expect from
- 18:32Speaker 1: a ghost. I felt kind of endearing. I've tried to
- 18:37Speaker 1: wrap my brain around why Shirley would visit me. I
- 18:40Speaker 1: only met her so many times, but I like to
- 18:42Speaker 1: think that she must have just really taken a liking
- 18:45Speaker 1: to me. Regardless, I am honored to have been her
- 18:48Speaker 1: final goodbye.
- 18:51Speaker 3: There you go literal goost bumps. Yeah, that story actually
- 18:57Speaker 3: gave me goost bumps.
- 18:58Speaker 1: It is chilling. Like, if there's one word that I
- 19:01Speaker 1: have for this, it's haunting. And I don't mean that
- 19:04Speaker 1: in like a negative sense, but it's like it's calming
- 19:07Speaker 1: and haunting. It's just wow.
- 19:11Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean I kind of find it a little
- 19:13Speaker 2: bit nice. Yeah, I don't know, in the sense that
- 19:17Speaker 2: she had.
- 19:18Speaker 3: Passed and that she was just I don't know then
- 19:23Speaker 3: moving on to like living or not living. How it
- 19:26Speaker 3: would be the word carrying on in a way that
- 19:29Speaker 3: she'd want to like cruising around in her vehicle and yeah,
- 19:32Speaker 3: and saying goodbye and just like happy.
- 19:36Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 19:37Speaker 2: She was not a sour person, right, she was one
- 19:39Speaker 2: of the sweet ones.
- 19:40Speaker 1: She was a sweet not a sour Yeah like that.
- 19:43Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 19:43Speaker 1: Wow.
- 19:44Speaker 2: So and that game Oxay is really cool. That is
- 19:47Speaker 2: that is a cool game, And I think it would
- 19:49Speaker 2: be interesting to play that.
- 19:51Speaker 3: And I feel like as the years pass though, there'd
- 19:54Speaker 3: be more and more sour people just because people are
- 19:57Speaker 3: so distracted and stuff nowadays.
- 19:59Speaker 2: Yeah, definitely, but wow, I like that one. I don't know,
- 20:04Speaker 2: I don't find that alarming at all. That's cool.
- 20:06Speaker 1: Well, and I do want to point this out too.
- 20:08Speaker 1: Here At the very last, she goes on to say,
- 20:12Speaker 1: thanks for reading my story, and I hope you guys
- 20:14Speaker 1: found it interesting as always, Stay Wicked, and she spelt
- 20:18Speaker 1: stay with five whys.
- 20:20Speaker 2: Stay Wicked.
- 20:22Speaker 1: Yeah, your little thing there's catching on. It's like your thing, now, stay.
- 20:25Speaker 2: Wicked, Stay Wicked. Our next merch off to be like that.
- 20:29Speaker 1: Yeah, no kidding, just be like real small letters and
- 20:32Speaker 1: the entire thing is just filled with whys. And then
- 20:34Speaker 1: at the end just little letters again, Wicked, Wicked. It's
- 20:37Speaker 1: like stay and then just like hundreds of whys.
- 20:40Speaker 2: Keep it Like, how cool was this? Thank you for
- 20:43Speaker 2: sending in these stories.
- 20:45Speaker 1: Yes, thank you guys so much. And if you were
- 20:48Speaker 1: up for it, I'm going to read a little bit
- 20:49Speaker 1: of a story myself. Yeah yeah, yeah, ready for it.
- 20:52Speaker 2: We got time.
- 20:53Speaker 1: Okay, I'm going to keep this short though, but this
- 20:55Speaker 1: is a story of a reoccurring nightmare I had when
- 20:58Speaker 1: I was about five or six years old, okay, and
- 21:01Speaker 1: I had this dream I think probably about six times
- 21:04Speaker 1: and it was exactly the same every time.
- 21:07Speaker 2: And have I heard of this?
- 21:09Speaker 1: I mean, I think you have I've told I know
- 21:11Speaker 1: I've told you, but whether you listened or not, it's another.
- 21:13Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, because I never listened to you. I
- 21:16Speaker 2: mean yeah, I mean sometimes hashtag married life.
- 21:20Speaker 1: I love you, babe. Okay. So yeah, this is I
- 21:25Speaker 1: reoccurring nightmare.
- 21:25Speaker 2: Okay.
- 21:26Speaker 1: So, as it starts out, I'm walking down a sidewalk
- 21:30Speaker 1: with my friend. We're both not like five years old anymore, though,
- 21:34Speaker 1: we're probably somewhere in the vicinity of like, I don't know,
- 21:36Speaker 1: maybe eighteen years old, somewhere in that time range, maybe
- 21:39Speaker 1: even like early twenties. But we're walking down a sidewalk,
- 21:43Speaker 1: a concrete sidewalk, and it's odd because we both grew
- 21:47Speaker 1: up as neighbors on a dirt road. We'd ride our
- 21:49Speaker 1: bikes in the dirt road, go in the forest, play
- 21:51Speaker 1: with sticks, so on and so forth. So this concrete city,
- 21:54Speaker 1: kind of small town setting was not normal. Right. So
- 22:01Speaker 1: we're walking down the sidewalk and it's kind of dusk,
- 22:04Speaker 1: the light is barely on the horizon, sky's getting dark,
- 22:08Speaker 1: and we were walking home, and of course, just like
- 22:10Speaker 1: any classic nineties teenage horror movie for Halloween, we take
- 22:15Speaker 1: a shortcut through a graveyard yep. Yeah.
- 22:19Speaker 3: So but at the hat age, would you have known
- 22:22Speaker 3: this sort of thing that graveyards are creepy and stuff?
- 22:25Speaker 1: If I'm being honest, I think this part was influenced
- 22:30Speaker 1: by hocus Pocus. Maybe, I think, huh so, But I
- 22:35Speaker 1: don't even know if hocus Pocus was around that. Hocus
- 22:37Speaker 1: Pocus is nineteen ninety nine, so no, I would have
- 22:40Speaker 1: been before that.
- 22:40Speaker 3: So no, it's not yeah wow, okay, So I'm like,
- 22:43Speaker 3: what were you watching at five years old?
- 22:45Speaker 1: I don't know. But anyways, cut through a graveyard and
- 22:48Speaker 1: we're walking through the graveyard and it's got the classic
- 22:51Speaker 1: like of wrought iron fences, and this one's like six
- 22:54Speaker 1: feet tall, and one of those rods had fallen off.
- 22:59Speaker 1: It was loose, and I had like almost like a
- 23:01Speaker 1: spear head at the tip, and it was kind of
- 23:03Speaker 1: like a spear shape, and I was using this thing
- 23:05Speaker 1: as like a walking stick hiking through the graveyard. We
- 23:07Speaker 1: get about halfway when all of a sudden, the ground
- 23:10Speaker 1: begins to shut her and shake, and it begins to
- 23:14Speaker 1: open up, and it opens up across the graveyard. Big
- 23:17Speaker 1: cracks form and in front of graves, and though no
- 23:20Speaker 1: one was coming up out of their graves. There was
- 23:22Speaker 1: a very light green hue light, and I know that
- 23:26Speaker 1: they were coming alive from their resting place. Now there
- 23:32Speaker 1: was one that emerged in their grave right in front
- 23:35Speaker 1: of us. And the one that emerged was probably about
- 23:38Speaker 1: a one year old infant, Oh my god, probably even
- 23:42Speaker 1: younger if I like, very very young. So this individual
- 23:47Speaker 1: had passed away, but they were still quite fresh, if
- 23:52Speaker 1: I'm being honest, completely like gaunt and white, but they
- 23:55Speaker 1: weren't rotted yet. So definitely dead.
- 23:59Speaker 3: But yeah, but hadn't been deceased for that long of it.
- 24:05Speaker 1: Or they've been deceased, they just haven't rotted. It's very strange,
- 24:09Speaker 1: Like I can look at them, I can very vividly
- 24:11Speaker 1: remember them. They're definitely dead. Their eyes are complete white, bloodshot,
- 24:15Speaker 1: skin white like it can see veins running across their skin.
- 24:19Speaker 1: But they're not rotted. Okay, So anyways, this thing or
- 24:25Speaker 1: child or used to be child sits up and is
- 24:29Speaker 1: looking at us, doesn't say anything, It just looks at us.
- 24:32Speaker 1: My friend is frozen solid and panic and I just
- 24:35Speaker 1: out of reflex, I just hit it right and it
- 24:39Speaker 1: just looks at me again. So I take this wrought
- 24:44Speaker 1: iron that I've been using as a walking stick, and
- 24:46Speaker 1: I jab it into its eye. All of a sudden,
- 24:50Speaker 1: puss begins to like spew out of its eye.
- 24:54Speaker 2: Oh my god.
- 24:55Speaker 1: And this green light that was emitting from underneath the
- 24:58Speaker 1: ground begins to swirl and almost a tornado effect around it.
- 25:02Speaker 3: Huh.
- 25:02Speaker 1: And though it doesn't speak, I hear its voice out
- 25:06Speaker 1: loud say you killed him, and then it sucks him
- 25:11Speaker 1: back into the ground and I wake up. Wow, that
- 25:16Speaker 1: was a reoccurring dream I had when I was about
- 25:18Speaker 1: five years old.
- 25:19Speaker 2: Have you ever looked into this stream because a lot
- 25:23Speaker 2: of times dreams they say that they are trying to
- 25:28Speaker 2: tell you something or their meaning or things in there
- 25:31Speaker 2: mean something, right.
- 25:33Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know what that would mean.
- 25:35Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 25:36Speaker 1: Maybe it meant that I ate too much candy before
- 25:38Speaker 1: bad who knows.
- 25:40Speaker 2: Maybe it meant you had a very overactive imagination, which
- 25:43Speaker 2: could be the case.
- 25:44Speaker 1: I definitely do have an overactive imagination.
- 25:47Speaker 3: But still to have that more than once is terrifying. Yeah,
- 25:52Speaker 3: and like you haven't had that as an adult or anything.
- 25:54Speaker 1: No, but I very vividly remember it.
- 25:57Speaker 2: Huh.
- 25:57Speaker 1: I've never dreamt of it, but I can, like in
- 25:59Speaker 1: my mind I can picture almost like frame for frame,
- 26:02Speaker 1: like a movie. I can picture it. I can see it.
- 26:05Speaker 2: Well, how do you feel about going through graveyards?
- 26:08Speaker 1: Fine?
- 26:09Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, okay, I.
- 26:10Speaker 1: Mean they're creepy the graveyards, don't get me wrong. But yeah, no,
- 26:13Speaker 1: it's fine. It's a graveyard.
- 26:15Speaker 2: A lot of people actually find graveyards very peaceful.
- 26:18Speaker 1: Yeah, I could see that.
- 26:19Speaker 3: Like, there's many people, and I'm actually kind of one
- 26:21Speaker 3: of them, like I I find I mean, if I
- 26:23Speaker 3: was in one at night, probably not so much. But
- 26:26Speaker 3: like there was a route that I used to take
- 26:30Speaker 3: where we used to live a few houses back. Actually
- 26:34Speaker 3: that went through a graveyard and I lost I like,
- 26:37Speaker 3: I yeah, it was like calming.
- 26:39Speaker 1: Like like it was like calming.
- 26:43Speaker 3: I was trying to get it out and it wasn't
- 26:45Speaker 3: coming out properly fair enough.
- 26:47Speaker 1: But yeah, so yeah, I just wanted to add my little,
- 26:49Speaker 1: my own little story there at the end. But thank
- 26:51Speaker 1: you guys so much for sharing your listener tales. Sorry
- 26:53Speaker 1: we couldn't involve all of them in the show. I'm
- 26:56Speaker 1: going forward. We might we might do some listener tales
- 26:58Speaker 1: a little more often.
- 26:59Speaker 2: M HM was fun.
- 27:00Speaker 1: I enjoyed that, but don't get confused. This is not
- 27:04Speaker 1: a full on episode. We're not going to sit here
- 27:06Speaker 1: and say we're going to substitute listener tales for a
- 27:08Speaker 1: regular episode. Once in a while. We might just throw
- 27:10Speaker 1: them in as a little bonus.
- 27:12Speaker 2: Yeah, this is just a hallow and weak bonus.
- 27:14Speaker 1: Yeah. So anyways, we're going to get back to doing
- 27:17Speaker 1: all the Halloween week goodness. So until we get back
- 27:22Speaker 1: to a normal.
- 27:23Speaker 2: Episode, stay Wicked, Stay Wicked. Day Day Wicked, Stay Wicked,
- 27:32Speaker 2: Stay Wicked, Stay Wicked.
