- 0:06Speaker 1: Hello, gorgeous, It is La La Ken. Welcome back to
- 0:09Speaker 1: the Give Them La La Podcast with Jessica Walter.
- 0:13Speaker 2: Hi everyone, it's me surprise.
- 0:17Speaker 1: Is it jes So you told me that someone DMS
- 0:19Speaker 1: you over the weekend. What did they say?
- 0:21Speaker 2: Listen to you, guys, I get a lot of in
- 0:23Speaker 2: my opinion, funny, but in most people's opinions, they're mean dms,
- 0:28Speaker 2: and I just kind of look at them and give
- 0:29Speaker 2: a little and then move on with my day. But
- 0:33Speaker 2: this one girl said, Lala was just playing. She was
- 0:37Speaker 2: recording herself and I was talking in the background, and
- 0:40Speaker 2: she was playing the video back to her, and I
- 0:42Speaker 2: heard my voice but didn't know it was me, And
- 0:44Speaker 2: my first thought was, who is that fucking annoying girl?
- 0:49Speaker 2: Then I realized it was me, which made me laugh.
- 0:52Speaker 2: Because over the weekend, a girl with a dog as
- 0:56Speaker 2: her profile pick coorse DM to me and she said,
- 1:01Speaker 2: if I have to hear your voice one more time,
- 1:04Speaker 2: I'm gonna rip my ears off, so.
- 1:07Speaker 1: Well troll with the dog as her profile picture. If
- 1:10Speaker 1: you continue listening to the podcast, you're gonna hear Jess's voice,
- 1:13Speaker 1: so you might as well start ripping your ears off now.
- 1:15Speaker 2: I'm so sorry though, because I feel your pain. I
- 1:17Speaker 2: didn't even know that was me, and I was like, God,
- 1:19Speaker 2: turn that.
- 1:20Speaker 1: Off, Fla las No. I love your voice, and can
- 1:22Speaker 1: I tell you when I listen to the podcast, I
- 1:24Speaker 1: say you know all the time, and I'm like, oh
- 1:28Speaker 1: my god, you're so annoying. I have to stop saying
- 1:31Speaker 1: after everything I say.
- 1:33Speaker 2: You know, that's so funny because I don't even realize that.
- 1:37Speaker 1: Oh it's so annoying. I've got to stop.
- 1:39Speaker 2: Really, yes, I don't even realize it. Wait, so happy
- 1:43Speaker 2: freaking because over the weekend you were at the pumpkin
- 1:45Speaker 2: Patch celebrating four yearboy buddy, Yeah, sobriety, very exciting. Tell
- 1:52Speaker 2: me about your weekend.
- 1:54Speaker 1: My weekend was a lit af we went to. So
- 1:57Speaker 1: I knew it's it's one day at a time, so
- 1:59Speaker 1: I don't on anyone who's in the program to be
- 2:01Speaker 1: triggered by what I'm gonna say. I knew that I
- 2:03Speaker 1: was gonna make it to four years because I just
- 2:06Speaker 1: knew I like being sober. I enjoy my life. So
- 2:10Speaker 1: I was like, this weekend is going to be my
- 2:12Speaker 1: sobriety birthday weekend. It was officially four years on the
- 2:16Speaker 1: twenty second, which was Saturday. So Friday, we went to
- 2:19Speaker 1: the pumpkin patch with Ocean Cruise Jack's Bread Jared and
- 2:24Speaker 1: it was amazing and Ocean kept pointing she went in
- 2:27Speaker 1: her Monster Zinc costume.
- 2:29Speaker 2: He saw that.
- 2:30Speaker 1: She loves it. She brings it to me every day
- 2:32Speaker 1: and is like, I was dying wanting me to put
- 2:34Speaker 1: it on her. So I was like, you can wear
- 2:35Speaker 1: it to the pumpkin patch. But she's pointing at this
- 2:38Speaker 1: giant slide. Can I just tell y'all, my kid has
- 2:41Speaker 1: the cutest, most fun personality in the entire world.
- 2:46Speaker 2: The best she is.
- 2:49Speaker 3: I get a kick out of her hilarious. She's so
- 2:52Speaker 3: funniest person I know. She's the funniest person I know.
- 2:54Speaker 3: She's so freaking cool. So she did like the little
- 2:58Speaker 3: bouncy house whatever did the slide.
- 3:01Speaker 1: And then on Saturday, for my actual like happy Birthday,
- 3:07Speaker 1: happy four years of sobriety, we went to Universal with
- 3:11Speaker 1: Summer Moon Cruise parents. There was another cute little girl, Sienna,
- 3:17Speaker 1: who's her parents are friends with She and I met
- 3:20Speaker 1: them at Sheena's wedding. It is so cute. If I could,
- 3:24Speaker 1: I know that it's like a hard thing to do
- 3:26Speaker 1: where you know some people have a hard time getting
- 3:29Speaker 1: pregnant and my heart goes out to them. If in
- 3:34Speaker 1: a perfect world you could say, like, let's plan to
- 3:37Speaker 1: have babies together.
- 3:38Speaker 2: Yeah, with your friends, do it.
- 3:40Speaker 1: It is. I'm telling you, there's no better feeling.
- 3:44Speaker 2: I died over the photo, which I don't know if
- 3:48Speaker 2: it's posted somewhere of not only Ocean and Cruise with
- 3:54Speaker 2: Ocean's arm around him, but Ocean and Summer.
- 3:57Speaker 1: Moon holding hands and the are you.
- 4:00Speaker 2: Kidding an ocean smile in one of them happiest girl
- 4:03Speaker 2: in the like I was dying. Are those on Sheena's page?
- 4:05Speaker 1: They're on Sheena's page and Summer's page, and they they
- 4:08Speaker 1: always tag give them Ocean, they do. I haven't posted
- 4:12Speaker 1: anything on Ocean's page like ever, Yeah, since she was
- 4:15Speaker 1: like born.
- 4:15Speaker 2: It's more on your page.
- 4:17Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like I can barely post content on my
- 4:18Speaker 1: own page, let alone get content for Ocean's pages.
- 4:21Speaker 2: I was gonna say, if you want to see like
- 4:23Speaker 2: most of Ocean's content, if it's not on your page,
- 4:25Speaker 2: it's on give them while a baby.
- 4:27Speaker 1: Yeah, that's where a bunch of it is. Yeah. They're
- 4:30Speaker 1: just so cute and fun and you want to bottle
- 4:33Speaker 1: it up. And Sienna grabbed onto her mom, you know,
- 4:39Speaker 1: with the neck and put her head down on her shoulder.
- 4:41Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 4:42Speaker 1: And I said, is that not the best feeling in
- 4:43Speaker 1: the world? And she was like, okay, is this this
- 4:46Speaker 1: is the best feeling in the world. Right, I was like,
- 4:48Speaker 1: this is that's that's what heaven feels like. No, I'm
- 4:51Speaker 1: not kidding. It's so say, there are certain things that
- 4:55Speaker 1: happen when your baby first comes out of the cookie
- 4:59Speaker 1: or just enters the world, no matter how they you know, surrogacy,
- 5:02Speaker 1: whether it's your cookie or someone else's, or you adopt,
- 5:05Speaker 1: doesn't matter. When you know your child, you are in heaven.
- 5:08Speaker 1: When that child you know it's yours and it's come
- 5:11Speaker 1: into the world. That my love is what heaven feels like.
- 5:14Speaker 1: Oh my God. When they lay their head down and
- 5:16Speaker 1: I assume the first time they say I love you
- 5:18Speaker 1: is also like, this is what heaven feels like.
- 5:20Speaker 2: Has Ocean said it?
- 5:21Speaker 3: No?
- 5:22Speaker 1: She so, can I tell you what she did? She
- 5:25Speaker 1: can't say. You just know the tone, right, right, you
- 5:27Speaker 1: just learn the tone. So I said, can you say
- 5:29Speaker 1: I love you? She goes any Oh, I'm like, oh
- 5:33Speaker 1: my God.
- 5:35Speaker 2: She she's so cute because we're like your mom and
- 5:39Speaker 2: you and your mom taught her to say. She won't
- 5:40Speaker 2: say please yet, but she'll go.
- 5:45Speaker 1: Yeah, no, she's so. But today I did catch her
- 5:49Speaker 1: so she can. She's getting taller, so she can open
- 5:51Speaker 1: and close the doors. And she opens the door to
- 5:56Speaker 1: my bedroom closes it, and you know, I keep all
- 6:00Speaker 1: the doors closed. There's not It was probably five seconds
- 6:04Speaker 1: that she they get into something. I see her close
- 6:06Speaker 1: the door, I walk in. I can't find her. She
- 6:09Speaker 1: is behind my curtain with Bella's dog food, chowing the
- 6:15Speaker 1: fuck down.
- 6:16Speaker 2: She loves a good dog food.
- 6:18Speaker 1: Okay, but how do I make it stop? Because I
- 6:20Speaker 1: give this girl her vitamins. She eats well, by the way,
- 6:24Speaker 1: the dog food. Because our dogs are older, we have
- 6:26Speaker 1: to give them like all organic. Like people can definitely
- 6:28Speaker 1: eat it. But I'm like, yeah, this is gross. And
- 6:31Speaker 1: it was like in the corner of her mouth and stuff.
- 6:33Speaker 1: I was drivaving.
- 6:34Speaker 2: She's so sweet though, because she sees them eating and
- 6:36Speaker 2: she's like, oh, yes, I was.
- 6:38Speaker 1: My kid a fucking furry. I'm not kidding. She tries.
- 6:42Speaker 1: She'll put her food on the ground sometimes and eat
- 6:45Speaker 1: it like a dog.
- 6:45Speaker 2: I did that literally constantly. I'm sure you did it too,
- 6:49Speaker 2: like we all. You never had a saucer of milk
- 6:52Speaker 2: that you drink like a cat.
- 6:53Speaker 1: I don't think so.
- 6:54Speaker 2: Really, she is having fun fliterate the duck now.
- 7:00Speaker 1: I'm like, you've gotta stop. It's expensive.
- 7:03Speaker 2: Yeah, no, it is.
- 7:04Speaker 1: He's so expensive.
- 7:06Speaker 2: Maybe cut up like a hot dog or like something
- 7:10Speaker 2: that you can put in. But I don't know. I'm
- 7:12Speaker 2: not a mom. I say things and parents are like, no,
- 7:14Speaker 2: you do not do that song.
- 7:15Speaker 1: I don't know. She's living her best life though when
- 7:18Speaker 1: she's doing it, but she knows she's not supposed to.
- 7:19Speaker 1: Why are you hiding behind the curtain, girl, Yeah, because
- 7:22Speaker 1: you know you freaking know.
- 7:24Speaker 2: That's funny. One more question I have about Universal. Did
- 7:27Speaker 2: she ride any rides or is she not?
- 7:30Speaker 1: She's old enough to ride the ride in like the
- 7:32Speaker 1: Minion's area. It goes in circles and you can go
- 7:35Speaker 1: up and down. And it was so funny because Summer
- 7:38Speaker 1: Moon was clinging to her mom terrified. Yeah, I couldn't
- 7:41Speaker 1: see Cruisy, but Ocean had her hands in there. No,
- 7:46Speaker 1: she did, looking at me.
- 7:49Speaker 2: She's such a thrill seeker. Yeah, she's such a thrill seeker.
- 7:54Speaker 1: I know, so cute, she's so fine, so I can't
- 7:58Speaker 1: fucking deal with how fun my kid is. We're laying
- 8:05Speaker 1: in bed one morning, because you know, I wake up.
- 8:07Speaker 1: I grab Ocean, I put her in the bed with me.
- 8:09Speaker 1: I have my coffee. So this this morning, Ocean wanted
- 8:14Speaker 1: to go into Gigi's room. Okay, so we go into
- 8:17Speaker 1: Gigi's room. I put on the show whatever, and Gigi
- 8:21Speaker 1: starts snoring. Ocean looks over at her and then approaches
- 8:26Speaker 1: to see where the snory is coming from. Gig snores
- 8:30Speaker 1: one more time, and Ocean just freaking slaps the shit.
- 8:33Speaker 2: O But she does not like HiT's her face? Yes,
- 8:39Speaker 2: what did she do?
- 8:40Speaker 1: Wake up? Yeah, she was like that hers But Ocean,
- 8:44Speaker 1: I'm sure, was like, what the fuck is that foghorn
- 8:47Speaker 1: noise coming from my Gigi. That's the funniest.
- 8:52Speaker 2: Thing to picture too, because Ocean I can picture her face.
- 8:55Speaker 2: She's so sweet and she's so curious. But this is
- 8:59Speaker 2: something that needed.
- 8:59Speaker 1: To and like, you're annoying me when I'm trying to
- 9:02Speaker 1: watch monsters inc right, I know, myhank God, I felt
- 9:06Speaker 1: really bad. At the same time, I was like, bitch,
- 9:09Speaker 1: this is not normal. I get this looked at. No
- 9:13Speaker 1: one should sound like a foghorn trying to like guide
- 9:17Speaker 1: ships in the night.
- 9:18Speaker 2: Let me tell you, if there was a reality show
- 9:20Speaker 2: of literally just you, Lisa and Ocean all day every
- 9:24Speaker 2: day a camera phone, I would watch the show.
- 9:26Speaker 1: Everyone would jet it's the funniest shit ever.
- 9:29Speaker 2: Funny.
- 9:30Speaker 1: There's my ego again. Someone was like, congrats on four years,
- 9:34Speaker 1: but your ego's out of control. I was like, is
- 9:36Speaker 1: it ego or is it just self love? I don't know.
- 9:39Speaker 1: Maybe they were one in this one, and who the
- 9:41Speaker 1: fuck knows. I've also decided, Jess, because my skin is
- 9:48Speaker 1: like freaking out. I cannot get it under control. And
- 9:52Speaker 1: I've come to the realization that I have to stop
- 9:56Speaker 1: making out for a little bit because I'm attracted to
- 9:58Speaker 1: men with facial hair, and their facial hair is making
- 10:02Speaker 1: me break out on my chin really, because that's where
- 10:04Speaker 1: it is.
- 10:05Speaker 2: Yeah, from what you think, like beard oil or just
- 10:07Speaker 2: literally the scratchiness of you know.
- 10:09Speaker 1: What the fuck they do to those things. They probably
- 10:12Speaker 1: don't wash them or are you being serious?
- 10:14Speaker 2: Well, I don't know any men with beards right in
- 10:17Speaker 2: DM the podcast, because I don't know do they wash
- 10:21Speaker 2: them with art. Do you wash beards with like face
- 10:25Speaker 2: wash or do you wash it with something else?
- 10:27Speaker 1: Do you even wash it? I don't know.
- 10:28Speaker 2: Do you wash it with shampoo?
- 10:29Speaker 1: I would assume I mean shampoo. Well, yeah, it's hair. Yeah,
- 10:34Speaker 1: But then again, like I shave my cookie and I
- 10:36Speaker 1: certainly don't. It's bald as a cueball, so that would
- 10:39Speaker 1: not up. But I assume that like women who don't
- 10:42Speaker 1: shave their cookies aren't being like time of shampoo shambush
- 10:45Speaker 1: they right, So I don't know, that's.
- 10:51Speaker 2: What I'm saying.
- 10:51Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 10:52Speaker 2: I'm not a Do you like beards or do you
- 10:54Speaker 2: just go for the guys who have the beard?
- 10:56Speaker 1: I just like facial hair. There's just something about like
- 10:58Speaker 1: I tend Yeah, but the dawn doesn't have facial hair.
- 11:02Speaker 2: He doesn't, and that's probably why he eats the cookies
- 11:04Speaker 2: so good.
- 11:05Speaker 1: That's true. Yeah, he's got a lot of face tattoos,
- 11:08Speaker 1: which a beard would cover those up, and then what
- 11:10Speaker 1: would be the point of ever getting them?
- 11:12Speaker 2: That's true.
- 11:13Speaker 1: So I don't know.
- 11:13Speaker 2: I'm sorry for what you're going through. So we'll take
- 11:19Speaker 2: a break. Let's find some non bearded men just for now,
- 11:22Speaker 2: just for.
- 11:23Speaker 1: Now, or maybe ones that are just like maybe a
- 11:24Speaker 1: little just a little shorter, a little.
- 11:27Speaker 2: Yes, just like the not five o'clock shadow, because I
- 11:30Speaker 2: think that's too short, but like the scruff. Yeah, Kyle
- 11:33Speaker 2: has a little scruff and it's my favorite. And when
- 11:35Speaker 2: there's gray in it. Done. You love a sol I
- 11:38Speaker 2: love it. I love a silver fox.
- 11:40Speaker 1: Yeah me too.
- 11:41Speaker 2: I think it's so hot. I love the grays.
- 11:43Speaker 1: Yeah, me too.
- 11:44Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 11:45Speaker 1: I don't know non bearded men not well. I yeah,
- 11:48Speaker 1: non bearded, non bearded men.
- 11:51Speaker 2: Okay, we'll find some true for the.
- 11:52Speaker 1: Purposes of my skin, right. And it's so funny because
- 11:56Speaker 1: you could tell me it's like, Okay, you can have
- 11:59Speaker 1: the best of your whole entire life every single day,
- 12:03Speaker 1: but your skin's gonna break out, and I'd be like, Nope,
- 12:05Speaker 1: not worth it. I'll never have sex again if you
- 12:07Speaker 1: tell me, I'll never deal with another breakout for.
- 12:09Speaker 2: Real, exactly. No, it's so important. I was listening to
- 12:12Speaker 2: a podcast with a girl who said she was getting
- 12:16Speaker 2: into that thing of freezing her eggs or whatever, and
- 12:19Speaker 2: her doctor said, get off birth control because it will
- 12:23Speaker 2: help you have a choice. But if you get off
- 12:26Speaker 2: birth control, it will help and she said, but this
- 12:29Speaker 2: helps my face and my breakouts. And so she didn't
- 12:32Speaker 2: get off birth control. No, she said, I'd rather just
- 12:34Speaker 2: not have as many eggs or whatever.
- 12:36Speaker 1: Oh, so it's.
- 12:37Speaker 2: Skin's important to eat a lot of your own, your own.
- 12:40Speaker 2: So tomorrow is talk about tomorrow. Talk about October twenty
- 12:46Speaker 2: seventh and what that means to you.
- 12:49Speaker 1: Ooh, October twenty seventh, huge, huge day for me. October
- 12:55Speaker 1: twenty seventh is when I moved all of my shit
- 12:59Speaker 1: out of the old house and left the relationship for good.
- 13:06Speaker 1: October twenty eighth is when that person found out. But
- 13:10Speaker 1: October twenty seventh, my shit was out. I knew that
- 13:13Speaker 1: I was leaving. And it's my independence day, it's your
- 13:17Speaker 1: independen It's a huge freaking day. And you know, I
- 13:21Speaker 1: read somewhere he commented on something that maybe now I
- 13:26Speaker 1: can move on with my life because I've quote unquote
- 13:28Speaker 1: found someone, which, by the way, I have not like this.
- 13:32Speaker 1: Cook you way too good. I'm throwing it baby.
- 13:34Speaker 2: You're not just baby away too good, bitch, bust it
- 13:37Speaker 2: way open.
- 13:38Speaker 1: See it wide open for anyone who comes. Correct. It's
- 13:42Speaker 1: yours for the taking, baby, I deserve that that's you do.
- 13:47Speaker 1: But I posted you know, I'll move on with my
- 13:50Speaker 1: life when I know my child is safe, when I
- 13:53Speaker 1: know the other children are safe, period, point blank. All right,
- 13:58Speaker 1: until then, you ain't sit you in this mouth up. Yep.
- 14:02Speaker 1: I will continue to talk about my experience. And by
- 14:05Speaker 1: the way, it ain't about you, motherfucker. This is about
- 14:10Speaker 1: me helping other women to say, you know what, I'm
- 14:13Speaker 1: strong enough to leave a relationship that I'm not happy,
- 14:15Speaker 1: and I'm strong enough to leave a relationship where it's
- 14:18Speaker 1: not safe, it's toxic. I will never shut up about
- 14:23Speaker 1: this topic. And it has nothing to do with this
- 14:27Speaker 1: person or that person has to do with I am
- 14:30Speaker 1: a woman wanting to help other women who think who
- 14:34Speaker 1: think they're not strong enough. It is my job, my duty,
- 14:38Speaker 1: my responsibility to remind you you are strong enough, and
- 14:42Speaker 1: you're not going to realize that until you decide. I'm
- 14:46Speaker 1: getting the fuck out. So October twenty seventh is a huge,
- 14:51Speaker 1: huge day for.
- 14:53Speaker 2: Me, and I just want to say congrats because October
- 14:55Speaker 2: twenty seventh we were together, yep. And just it's been
- 15:00Speaker 2: a year and sometimes it feels I'm like, oh yeah,
- 15:04Speaker 2: sometimes it feels like it's been three months, and other
- 15:06Speaker 2: times it feels like it's been like ten years. Personally,
- 15:10Speaker 2: I feel like I met you and you know, worked
- 15:15Speaker 2: with you a little bit before everything happened and you
- 15:19Speaker 2: moved out. But the person I've seen in this past year,
- 15:23Speaker 2: and I've told you this before and I'll say it again,
- 15:25Speaker 2: is one of the most badass inspiring. Oh my god,
- 15:32Speaker 2: not gonna get emotional. What is Oh my god, what
- 15:37Speaker 2: is going on?
- 15:39Speaker 1: It's a big guy.
- 15:40Speaker 2: Sorry God, I'm getting emotional. Just very just just badass, inspiring, strong,
- 15:46Speaker 2: killing it. Like I have learned so much from you
- 15:50Speaker 2: in this past year than I've ever learned from any
- 15:54Speaker 2: woman in my life. And I am obsessed with the
- 15:57Speaker 2: women in my life, my mom, my, sister. We've lived
- 16:00Speaker 2: very privileged lives, and just to just to see you
- 16:04Speaker 2: and watch you this past year, I'm very grateful to
- 16:07Speaker 2: have met you and to be working for you.
- 16:09Speaker 1: Well, I'm extremely grateful for you, and I feel like
- 16:11Speaker 1: you are a god sent. You know, you came into
- 16:15Speaker 1: my life at the perfect time, and I don't think
- 16:17Speaker 1: it was just to help me kill it, because we've
- 16:22Speaker 1: never done better. The brand has never done better since
- 16:25Speaker 1: you came into my world. But You were my safe space.
- 16:29Speaker 1: You know, when I knew I was leaving you, you
- 16:34Speaker 1: took over for me so that I could, you know,
- 16:39Speaker 1: try to mentally rap my mind or rout what was
- 16:41Speaker 1: happening in my life. You found me somewhere to go,
- 16:46Speaker 1: you packed my shit, you rented the fucking cars, You
- 16:51Speaker 1: put it the paper on the camera so that no
- 16:55Speaker 1: one could see anything. You were a fucking soldier and
- 17:00Speaker 1: I couldn't have done it without you.
- 17:02Speaker 2: So I love you. And we had our crew that day,
- 17:06Speaker 2: which is just like the best crow. I love that
- 17:09Speaker 2: crew me too.
- 17:10Speaker 1: I mean we were buttoned the fuck up.
- 17:13Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:14Speaker 1: Yeah, So it's really you know, when people can say
- 17:20Speaker 1: it's been a year, move on, but you have to remember, yes,
- 17:22Speaker 1: it's been a year, but for many, many months, I
- 17:26Speaker 1: was dealing with so much trauma. So I'm in no
- 17:32Speaker 1: position to get into another relationship. Even though I'm in
- 17:36Speaker 1: a great place. It's been a year since it all happened.
- 17:40Speaker 1: A lot of those months were for me to process,
- 17:44Speaker 1: So really it hasn't been a year. I want to
- 17:46Speaker 1: start it from when I can say, okay, you know what,
- 17:49Speaker 1: we're in a good space. We're going to start the
- 17:51Speaker 1: healing and I've been healing. It's so crazy because the
- 17:54Speaker 1: healing kind of just came with time and me purging
- 17:58Speaker 1: and talking to really strong women around me, talking to
- 18:02Speaker 1: you guys, you know, people dming me where I didn't
- 18:05Speaker 1: feel alone, that I felt like I was strong. And
- 18:09Speaker 1: it's so crazy because so many people from the outside say,
- 18:12Speaker 1: you're so strong? How did you do this? And it's
- 18:14Speaker 1: like because of people like you, y'all gave me strength
- 18:20Speaker 1: in that moment. That wasn't all me. That was me
- 18:24Speaker 1: in that moment saying I'm gonna lean in to anyone
- 18:27Speaker 1: who's supporting me right now because they're going to be
- 18:30Speaker 1: my backbone for a while.
- 18:32Speaker 2: I mean, full circle and it'll keep going. But the
- 18:35Speaker 2: amount of people and messages we've got who've said you
- 18:38Speaker 2: have done that for them is like incredible.
- 18:41Speaker 1: Well, we're all doing it for each other. Yeah, right,
- 18:43Speaker 1: and I have to I have to share this with
- 18:46Speaker 1: you guys. So you know those accounts that post.
- 18:49Speaker 2: Blinds, yes, like dumant stuff.
- 18:52Speaker 1: Yeah, So there's one called there's one called reveal MOI okay,
- 18:58Speaker 1: and the subject is cheaterd Pumpkin eater message. This ex
- 19:02Speaker 1: pump Rules cast member cheated on his then fiance before
- 19:05Speaker 1: they got married. He cheated a week before they left
- 19:07Speaker 1: for their bachelor party. He was sliding in my DMS
- 19:10Speaker 1: up until the bachelor party. And he is a mere
- 19:12Speaker 1: twenty years older than me. No matter what he tries
- 19:14Speaker 1: to portray, he is not innocent. So I fucking comment,
- 19:18Speaker 1: all right, Okay, I said, I'm sick of these blinds
- 19:21Speaker 1: from these women. Who are you and who was creeping?
- 19:25Speaker 1: Look out for each other. Don't be a fucking square
- 19:28Speaker 1: and hide behind keeping everything anonymous. Bring the smoke so
- 19:31Speaker 1: me and my girls know who the fuck we are
- 19:33Speaker 1: sleeping next to and can dip out. Yep, I'm so
- 19:37Speaker 1: look out for each other. I am begging you. If
- 19:41Speaker 1: someone is not acting right, you better come correct. Who
- 19:46Speaker 1: are you? Who did you creep with? Show me the receipts,
- 19:49Speaker 1: Give me a timeline where were you at so that
- 19:52Speaker 1: we stop making babies with these motherfuckers?
- 19:55Speaker 2: Because I think a lot of women when everything came out,
- 19:58Speaker 2: there were a lot of women, not a lot. There
- 20:00Speaker 2: were some women who said, oh, I just thought it's
- 20:03Speaker 2: Hollywood like everyone has. And I know Laala was shocked
- 20:06Speaker 2: when I said this to her. But when I said
- 20:09Speaker 2: this to you, a while ago, I said, a lot
- 20:10Speaker 2: of people thought like everyone has like a a what's
- 20:15Speaker 2: it called, like a situation? It's an agreement. It's a
- 20:18Speaker 2: silent agreement. Oh that's how Hollywood is.
- 20:22Speaker 1: Well, guess what that's not. Reach out to us an ass, Yes,
- 20:25Speaker 1: do you guys have an agreement? So I can tell
- 20:27Speaker 1: you yes and you can move about your business, or
- 20:29Speaker 1: I can tell you no and you can come to
- 20:31Speaker 1: me with receipts so that I can say thank you, girl.
- 20:36Speaker 1: But it's like, I'm not gonna be mad at you,
- 20:38Speaker 1: not gonna be mad at you, all right, because you've
- 20:40Speaker 1: saved me, even though should you know better probably be
- 20:44Speaker 1: Guess what if it ain't you, it's gonna be some
- 20:46Speaker 1: other freaking girl. So just come to me, because you're
- 20:49Speaker 1: actually gonna save us.
- 20:50Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, come to Lalla, And like she said, go
- 20:53Speaker 2: to the other ones. And if you think, oh, surely
- 20:55Speaker 2: they have an agreement, you might as well reach out
- 20:56Speaker 2: because worst that's gonna happen is the woman will ignore you,
- 21:00Speaker 2: or she'll go yep, no, we're all good, thanks, or
- 21:04Speaker 2: she'll say thank god, you just fucking told me yes,
- 21:08Speaker 2: Like there's yeah, there's no downside really to reaching out
- 21:12Speaker 2: and looking out for a fellow.
- 21:15Speaker 1: By the way, all the chicks that came forward for me,
- 21:18Speaker 1: I was not judging them at all. I was so grateful.
- 21:24Speaker 1: Thank you, bitch. M M. I'm not going to be
- 21:27Speaker 1: mad about it. Shit happens, Yeah, shit happens in life,
- 21:31Speaker 1: right Yeah, So happy independence, Happy to meet tomorrow, Happy
- 21:37Speaker 1: four years to meet tomorrow or tomorrow.
- 21:40Speaker 2: Already And this is such an exciting episode. People have
- 21:43Speaker 2: been asking about this one.
- 21:45Speaker 1: Well, it was supposed to come out last week, but
- 21:47Speaker 1: I was like, we got to talk about Bravo con
- 21:49Speaker 1: By the way, people are obsessed. I have DMS being like,
- 21:53Speaker 1: who would have thought Easton would have brought the fucking
- 21:55Speaker 1: pipe and hot English breakfast about bravokon Easton all people,
- 22:00Speaker 1: my little.
- 22:01Speaker 2: Brother, Oh my god, yeah brought it.
- 22:04Speaker 1: Out quiet ones with the hat down low, sitting in
- 22:08Speaker 1: the corner with what looks to be an ankle. Wanted
- 22:10Speaker 1: her is really air pods?
- 22:12Speaker 2: I fucking love Easther. Then I wish he lived here,
- 22:15Speaker 2: he would be he would be on this.
- 22:16Speaker 1: So we made a game plan. Okay, we made a
- 22:18Speaker 1: game plan. I think he's going to be out here
- 22:20Speaker 1: by definitely next year, I mean, or maybe this and
- 22:25Speaker 1: what are we in right now?
- 22:26Speaker 2: Permanently we're in October.
- 22:29Speaker 1: I think he'll be out here by like April or May.
- 22:32Speaker 2: Yeah, like permanently.
- 22:34Speaker 1: Yeah, he came out. He was supposed to come for
- 22:35Speaker 1: three days from Bravocon. Yes, and instead, you know, we
- 22:39Speaker 1: needed each other, all of us. Yeah, and we just
- 22:42Speaker 1: took like a mental family, uh dare And he was like,
- 22:47Speaker 1: we need to be together.
- 22:48Speaker 2: I love that he needs to be here. He needs
- 22:50Speaker 2: I thought living here because he didn't want to live here.
- 22:52Speaker 2: But if he wants to live here, he needs to
- 22:54Speaker 2: be here.
- 22:54Speaker 1: We're codependent. We're a codependent family. You can say it's
- 22:57Speaker 1: not healthy. I don't care.
- 22:59Speaker 2: I don't think. I don't think it's codependent in the
- 23:01Speaker 2: way that a lot of people will think. You guys
- 23:04Speaker 2: are a close family. And I know it from being
- 23:06Speaker 2: in a close family. And there's nothing, in my opinion
- 23:09Speaker 2: better than that. And mind you, your family doesn't have
- 23:12Speaker 2: to be your blood. Your family can be anywhere ever.
- 23:15Speaker 2: But to me, a close family is like what it's
- 23:19Speaker 2: what has gotten me through and it's what I'm sure
- 23:22Speaker 2: gets you through.
- 23:22Speaker 1: And you know, yeah, and a lot of people were
- 23:24Speaker 1: also saying love the episode, but to be honest, I
- 23:27Speaker 1: can't stop thinking about what I would do to Easton
- 23:30Speaker 1: behind closed doors.
- 23:30Speaker 2: I'm like, Jop, does he take dms?
- 23:34Speaker 1: Yeah, no, he takes dms. There were a few I
- 23:36Speaker 1: punted over to him.
- 23:37Speaker 2: There were yeah, yeah.
- 23:39Speaker 1: You know. I was like, this bitch has been harassing
- 23:41Speaker 1: me about you for the past week.
- 23:45Speaker 2: So here, you know, if you you'd have a great
- 23:49Speaker 2: sister alow you guys.
- 23:50Speaker 1: Come on, would you though? Yes?
- 23:53Speaker 2: Are you kidding?
- 23:54Speaker 1: Okay, I'm very protective of Easton. No, today's going to
- 23:58Speaker 1: be lit. We have Lauren and Michael Bostic on the
- 24:01Speaker 1: podcast from the Skinny Confidential. His and hers so fun,
- 24:05Speaker 1: so amazing. They are up next. We did a swap.
- 24:08Speaker 1: It was supposed to air last week, like I said,
- 24:10Speaker 1: but it's here today, so you're welcome. We'll be right
- 24:13Speaker 1: back with the Bosticks.
- 24:18Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, I'm so excited.
- 24:19Speaker 5: Or so you can come back anytime you want to.
- 24:21Speaker 5: Our podcast that was That was a good one.
- 24:23Speaker 1: You can't tell me that because I take people up
- 24:26Speaker 1: on that When they're like, you should hit me up,
- 24:27Speaker 1: I'm like, but I am going to do that, so like,
- 24:29Speaker 1: can't I forget.
- 24:29Speaker 4: I'm not kidding open invite you. You're easy to talk
- 24:32Speaker 4: to me, open inte. Some people are like, oh my god,
- 24:34Speaker 4: you're fucking dud and we just got to squeeze it
- 24:35Speaker 4: out you. I'm like, come on, like enough of the
- 24:37Speaker 4: lemon water.
- 24:38Speaker 2: Well.
- 24:38Speaker 1: I always wonder how you guys, because I feel like
- 24:41Speaker 1: every episode, by the way, I have not subscribed or
- 24:43Speaker 1: what is that? What is the word? Like downloaded? Any podcast?
- 24:47Speaker 1: I have? You guys, Heather McDonald my own obviously and
- 24:51Speaker 1: not skinny, but not that. They're both very talented on
- 24:55Speaker 1: the mic.
- 24:55Speaker 4: But all of those people, they both and Amanda are
- 24:59Speaker 4: like again like they can just go.
- 25:01Speaker 1: There's just some people that know how are just quick. Yeah,
- 25:04Speaker 1: we're like I don't even care who the guest is,
- 25:06Speaker 1: Like I'm tuning in for like you guys or Heather,
- 25:09Speaker 1: like they could be doing it solo. Like you, you
- 25:13Speaker 1: keep up on the conversation even if you had a
- 25:15Speaker 1: dud of a game.
- 25:15Speaker 4: That's why when I was like, you should just be
- 25:17Speaker 4: able to like riff with whoever.
- 25:19Speaker 1: You don't totally just like we have this and we
- 25:22Speaker 1: have the say it again. You're the star. See this
- 25:25Speaker 1: is why I think so highly of myself because I
- 25:27Speaker 1: sit in a room with you guys, and you're like,
- 25:29Speaker 1: you're great. And then I go home to my mom
- 25:31Speaker 1: and she's like, you're so great that we could tell
- 25:34Speaker 1: me otherwise. Good, let's talk about the new babe. Yes,
- 25:39Speaker 1: how do you feel about this? I was telling Michael outside,
- 25:42Speaker 1: just be prepared. I don't have a boy, but I'm
- 25:44Speaker 1: sitting here telling you what you should be prepared for.
- 25:47Speaker 1: Tell me everything. But like ZoZ sits there and she's
- 25:49Speaker 1: like super chic, super cool. Right, we don't see her
- 25:52Speaker 1: mouthdowns on social media. Well sometimes we do has them, right,
- 25:55Speaker 1: but even those look chic because you're like in can
- 25:58Speaker 1: when she has them.
- 26:01Speaker 5: Her mouth down in santro Pei was iconic. I should
- 26:05Speaker 5: have filmed it.
- 26:06Speaker 4: Like somebody needs to get their fucking kid in controlling.
- 26:07Speaker 4: I turn around in his arcade, like, oh.
- 26:09Speaker 5: Shit, she's butt naked running through hotel to cats. But
- 26:12Speaker 5: you guys, before I had Ocean, I would see other
- 26:14Speaker 5: people's kids and I'm like, my kid will never be
- 26:17Speaker 5: that way, like the ones running through the restaurant. And
- 26:18Speaker 5: then you have a kid and you're like, fuck it,
- 26:20Speaker 5: run through the restaurant.
- 26:21Speaker 1: I don't care.
- 26:21Speaker 5: It's honestly, sometimes I'm just like, just let her do
- 26:25Speaker 5: what she's gonna do.
- 26:26Speaker 1: What's her sign?
- 26:27Speaker 5: She's Aquarius? Oh what's oceans? She's a Pisces. But Aquarius
- 26:32Speaker 5: are just like, oh, you know, I always want to
- 26:35Speaker 5: let my kids be who they are. I think what
- 26:38Speaker 5: my parents did for me so well is there was
- 26:40Speaker 5: never any judgment surrounding who I wanted to be. For instance, they.
- 26:44Speaker 1: Never like push the lawyer or the doctor, like you
- 26:47Speaker 1: have to go to school. They were always like, whatever
- 26:49Speaker 1: you do, just be the best at it, whatever that is.
- 26:53Speaker 1: So my parents were the same way. So I can't
- 26:56Speaker 1: wrap my head around parents who are like, you have
- 26:58Speaker 1: to go to college. I mean, what were your parents like,
- 27:01Speaker 1: Michael not like that.
- 27:02Speaker 4: I mean they wanted me to go to school. My
- 27:03Speaker 4: mom was My mom's half Japanese, so like she was
- 27:05Speaker 4: bringing that energy where she was like one. But then
- 27:07Speaker 4: I was like a terrible student. I was kicked out
- 27:08Speaker 4: of everywhere and getting fights and so like they were
- 27:10Speaker 4: also kind of like, okay, shit, maybe he's not going Harvard.
- 27:13Speaker 5: Okay, Michael got more detentions than I've ever seen anyone get.
- 27:17Speaker 5: He was in detention from Monday through Friday, Saturday.
- 27:20Speaker 4: School.
- 27:21Speaker 1: Who's a he mooned the principal.
- 27:23Speaker 2: Oh he was.
- 27:25Speaker 1: Oh he was horrible.
- 27:27Speaker 5: Because you guys went to school together, right since we
- 27:29Speaker 5: were twelve, we.
- 27:30Speaker 4: Could you could relate to me on this. It became
- 27:32Speaker 4: a thing where like they were trying to break me
- 27:33Speaker 4: down by the detention. So I'm like, I'm just going
- 27:35Speaker 4: to get all the detentions.
- 27:36Speaker 1: And detention is not that bad.
- 27:38Speaker 4: No, So then they had to convert him to Saturday
- 27:39Speaker 4: school because the amount of times. Then they had to
- 27:41Speaker 4: convert him to suspensions. Then my Mom's like, enough, dude,
- 27:44Speaker 4: you know right.
- 27:45Speaker 5: I don't think that you have to be an all
- 27:47Speaker 5: star student to do what you want to do. I
- 27:50Speaker 5: feel like that's a myth we've been told.
- 27:51Speaker 1: Well, I also think and obviously if people are going
- 27:54Speaker 1: to like these incredible schools, I understand, like you got
- 27:57Speaker 1: to be smart. But for me, people are going to
- 27:59Speaker 1: hate me for this. But I'm saying it's you know
- 28:01Speaker 1: how to read and retain what you read? All right,
- 28:03Speaker 1: you're a good test taker, but can you survive in
- 28:06Speaker 1: the outside world? Also, do you have EQ? EQ? To
- 28:10Speaker 1: me is the most underrated thing.
- 28:12Speaker 5: I don't know why no one talks about no one
- 28:14Speaker 5: talks about self awareness, knowing how to interact. Are your
- 28:18Speaker 5: arms closed off when you're talking to someone?
- 28:20Speaker 1: Are they open? Are you charismatic? Do you have strength?
- 28:22Speaker 1: Do you have warmth? Do you have a presence? Do
- 28:24Speaker 1: you know how to.
- 28:25Speaker 5: Speak in front of people? There's so many things they
- 28:27Speaker 5: don't teach you in school. It's like, I don't understand
- 28:29Speaker 5: this prescription for everyone that they need to go to college.
- 28:32Speaker 1: The real I wish I didn't go to college. Actually,
- 28:34Speaker 1: I'm gonna say that a lot of you went to college.
- 28:36Speaker 1: I'm so impressed. See, But then there are people that
- 28:38Speaker 1: tell me they went to college. Like my assistant Jess,
- 28:40Speaker 1: she told me she graduated from college. I was like,
- 28:42Speaker 1: holy shit, you're so smart. I really wish I didn't
- 28:45Speaker 1: go to college. I wish I put it towards like
- 28:48Speaker 1: the money, No, I wish I wish I took the
- 28:51Speaker 1: money and started my own business younger.
- 28:54Speaker 4: Well, college and school can be really dangerous for some
- 28:56Speaker 4: people because you go through a system that's all based
- 28:58Speaker 4: on following rules and then getting the results for following
- 29:02Speaker 4: certain rules, and then what happens is you get into
- 29:04Speaker 4: the real world and there is no rules, and you
- 29:06Speaker 4: come up against people that don't care about any of
- 29:07Speaker 4: the rules, and then you're like, wait a minute, I
- 29:09Speaker 4: follow the rules and I should be allowed to have
- 29:12Speaker 4: success now, and it's like, well, the rest of the
- 29:13Speaker 4: world doesn't really care. So, like, I think it could
- 29:15Speaker 4: be dangerous for some people that go through that whole
- 29:18Speaker 4: sys something in that if you being successful in school
- 29:21Speaker 4: correlation of success in the real world, because it doesn't
- 29:22Speaker 4: necessarily mean that.
- 29:24Speaker 1: No, And I always knew what I wanted to be
- 29:26Speaker 1: from the time I was twelve, and I wanted to
- 29:29Speaker 1: be on stage. I wanted to be in the arts.
- 29:31Speaker 1: But it wasn't like I ran in what you thought, yes,
- 29:34Speaker 1: which is cool though, and I didn't want to do
- 29:36Speaker 1: It wasn't like I wanted to be on Broadway, you know,
- 29:39Speaker 1: I just wanted to be on someone's TV. Well, it's
- 29:43Speaker 1: so interesting to me because, like I said on my podcast,
- 29:46Speaker 1: you read I read the book, and I think you
- 29:49Speaker 1: talk about being bullied, so you almost like took those
- 29:53Speaker 1: tactics and then you took the on stage tactics. And
- 29:56Speaker 1: then you.
- 29:56Speaker 5: Also I feel like, utilized your looks in the right
- 29:59Speaker 5: way in my opinion, well saying you're beautiful and you
- 30:01Speaker 5: put it all together and you get vander Pump Roules.
- 30:04Speaker 1: Right, which, by the way, when vander Pump first started,
- 30:07Speaker 1: you know, they started airing the like tune in the
- 30:10Speaker 1: new show. I was like, who the fuck is gonna
- 30:12Speaker 1: watch that? And then little did I know, someone upstairs
- 30:15Speaker 1: was like, bet you're gonna be on that one day
- 30:17Speaker 1: because your whole life with the bullying has prepped you
- 30:20Speaker 1: for reality television. I didn't realize that I was. I
- 30:24Speaker 1: used to watch reality TV as a kid, what like
- 30:28Speaker 1: the Real World and shit like that. I love the
- 30:30Speaker 1: Real worlds, yeah one, and I always thought like that
- 30:33Speaker 1: sounds that looks awesome, but like, I don't want to
- 30:35Speaker 1: do that. I don't want my real life to follow.
- 30:38Speaker 1: So good at it. That's so nice of you to
- 30:41Speaker 1: say you are. It's an art. It really is. Reality
- 30:44Speaker 1: TV is an art.
- 30:46Speaker 5: It's I also kind of imagine too, that you get
- 30:49Speaker 5: recognized wherever you go. And I don't think that this
- 30:52Speaker 5: has talked about enough with celebrities and reality stars. That
- 30:55Speaker 5: is people are gonna be.
- 30:57Speaker 1: Like, but it is.
- 30:58Speaker 5: It's it's an extra layer of stress in a way,
- 31:01Speaker 5: because I'm sure sometimes you just want to pump gas.
- 31:04Speaker 1: Well, for me, I look at it differently. Because I
- 31:08Speaker 1: know that I'm I know that I have talents because
- 31:13Speaker 1: I worked on them as a child because I wanted
- 31:15Speaker 1: to be in the art. So I know that I
- 31:16Speaker 1: have those. But as far as what I'm doing right now,
- 31:19Speaker 1: which people may consider it a talent or not, but
- 31:21Speaker 1: doing reality TV. Without these people watching the show, I
- 31:26Speaker 1: don't get to do what I do. So I never
- 31:28Speaker 1: get sick of people coming up to me and wanting
- 31:30Speaker 1: to talk because without them, I don't have what I have.
- 31:34Speaker 5: You know who else said that on a podcast? Kim Kardashian.
- 31:37Speaker 1: Did she really?
- 31:37Speaker 5: She said she never gets sick of people coming up
- 31:39Speaker 5: to her or taking photos because this is everything she
- 31:42Speaker 5: always wanted.
- 31:43Speaker 1: See, I'm not a huge I'm a huge fan of
- 31:46Speaker 1: like Kardashian, but I don't know anything that goes on
- 31:49Speaker 1: or what they say, Like I don't tune into the show,
- 31:51Speaker 1: or it wasn't even on the show, was on a
- 31:52Speaker 1: random podcast. Yeah, okay, I love it. So I'm basically
- 31:56Speaker 1: like Kim Kardashian. You're basically like Kim Kardashian, So I
- 31:59Speaker 1: have to know that people because you have a huge
- 32:02Speaker 1: social media following.
- 32:04Speaker 5: I think that for me, it's not necessarily about the following.
- 32:07Speaker 5: I think what I've tried to do is really cultivate
- 32:10Speaker 5: the community, Like I will take time to respond to dms.
- 32:14Speaker 5: I will make sure I'm answering the questions. Like everything
- 32:17Speaker 5: I post has to add something to the person's life.
- 32:21Speaker 5: It has to make them laugh, It has to entertain them,
- 32:23Speaker 5: and has to educate them. It has to give them
- 32:25Speaker 5: a takeaway or else I feel like I'm wasting their
- 32:28Speaker 5: time totally. And I think a lot of influencers who
- 32:31Speaker 5: got famous, like in twenty ten, were just like look
- 32:35Speaker 5: at my nail polish and look at my dress. And
- 32:37Speaker 5: I've always been like, instead of like look at me,
- 32:39Speaker 5: I'm like, let's look at other people and like put
- 32:43Speaker 5: that together and make it a resource.
- 32:45Speaker 4: I think also the perspective is and like this is
- 32:48Speaker 4: not the wrong don't take the wrong Way's just a
- 32:50Speaker 4: different thing. It's like because we didn't have a platform
- 32:52Speaker 4: where there was like a syndication pushing us, and we
- 32:55Speaker 4: we didn't have that, so like the whole time is like, Okay,
- 32:57Speaker 4: if you're not creating valuable content that the audience or
- 33:01Speaker 4: listeners cares about, it's like they're the choice of so
- 33:04Speaker 4: many other creators online and we don't have anybody else
- 33:06Speaker 4: that's ever gonna step andy be like, oh, you guys
- 33:08Speaker 4: are going to go back on a platform next season,
- 33:09Speaker 4: don't worry, right, Right, we have to be able to
- 33:11Speaker 4: go in and be like, Okay, if it's not valuable
- 33:13Speaker 4: and people aren't getting some kind of entertainment or they're
- 33:16Speaker 4: not getting inspired or not getting educated, like you can,
- 33:18Speaker 4: they can go choose millions of other people.
- 33:21Speaker 3: Right.
- 33:21Speaker 1: But that's why I'm so impressed by it, because there's
- 33:25Speaker 1: so many people who ask me, how did you build
- 33:28Speaker 1: this brand? And I almost have to take a step back,
- 33:31Speaker 1: and I almost feel guilty about it because I have
- 33:36Speaker 1: the luxury and this opportunity was brought to me by
- 33:40Speaker 1: being on a show that that kind of pushed me
- 33:43Speaker 1: to the top with Does that make sense?
- 33:45Speaker 4: Like not a lot of people do what you've done
- 33:47Speaker 4: with that platform, like you I can. We can the
- 33:49Speaker 4: real world. You can go through the host of a
- 33:51Speaker 4: million reality stars that have kind of just been washed
- 33:53Speaker 4: out because like they just rested their laurels on the
- 33:56Speaker 4: success of the show and then the show changes or
- 33:57Speaker 4: seasons change, or they get cut. That's like you never
- 33:59Speaker 4: hearin so like you've built something because you've been smart
- 34:02Speaker 4: enough and savary enough to say, Okay, like I have
- 34:04Speaker 4: an opportunity, I'm gonna take advantage of it in the
- 34:06Speaker 4: right way. Like I'm not, you know, not taking advantage
- 34:08Speaker 4: in the wrong way, but like you've been able to
- 34:10Speaker 4: leverage that success into other areas of success.
- 34:13Speaker 5: That's what I was gonna say. I would caveat that.
- 34:15Speaker 5: With that you have, you have educated, entertained, inspired. Further
- 34:19Speaker 5: from like when you're off the show, you're still making
- 34:22Speaker 5: sure you're providing value. You're making people laugh, like whatever
- 34:25Speaker 5: it is, you're giving them advice about being in a
- 34:28Speaker 5: shit relationship and what they should do. Like when you
- 34:30Speaker 5: can give people tangible things that they can apply to
- 34:34Speaker 5: their own life, that is where you can take to
- 34:36Speaker 5: the next level. And I feel like you're doing that
- 34:38Speaker 5: off the show, So you're good.
- 34:39Speaker 4: Yeah, Like the show line, it doesn't mean it's the
- 34:42Speaker 4: end for you because you've like people now will go
- 34:44Speaker 4: with you wherever you go. But a lot of times
- 34:45Speaker 4: that's not the case for other people on l TV,
- 34:47Speaker 4: Like the show ends, and it's like you like, that's
- 34:49Speaker 4: it for them, right not to like shit on people
- 34:51Speaker 4: with that. It's like the majority of people that go
- 34:53Speaker 4: on these television shows, like the show ends, they get
- 34:55Speaker 4: kicked off. It's like they're dying.
- 34:56Speaker 1: Athony Frankl does a goddamn good job. She does the
- 34:58Speaker 1: way I I don't look up to very many people.
- 35:02Speaker 1: Bethany Frankel is one of my all times. I am
- 35:05Speaker 1: so impressed by her and just what she has done.
- 35:09Speaker 1: She came from nothing and then on top of you know,
- 35:12Speaker 1: creating her foundation of be strong. It's just she has
- 35:16Speaker 1: everything like she's got it figured out in my mind business.
- 35:20Speaker 1: I don't know her personally, but she seems like someone
- 35:23Speaker 1: who's got it figured out. Like I want to take
- 35:25Speaker 1: what she's done. Like I said on your Guys' podcast,
- 35:28Speaker 1: if you don't have what I want, and we learned
- 35:31Speaker 1: this in AA, then I most likely will not listen
- 35:34Speaker 1: to you. She has what I want, so I would
- 35:38Speaker 1: take all the advice. Same with you, guys, though I'm
- 35:39Speaker 1: looking like I even texted you the other night, which
- 35:42Speaker 1: I didn't respond to your other one. I'm the worst
- 35:43Speaker 1: text for ever. You're just as bad as you take.
- 35:47Speaker 1: I can't when you have a kid's no I know,
- 35:50Speaker 1: so you get it. That's why I didn't feel bad.
- 35:51Speaker 5: You could literally not text me for eight months to
- 35:54Speaker 5: that text and I would be just fine.
- 35:56Speaker 1: Okay, that's how I am too. That's the kind of
- 35:58Speaker 1: friend I am asking you if you had a publicist,
- 36:02Speaker 1: because you're literally everywhere I don't. That's very nice. I
- 36:06Speaker 1: walk in airwon It's like, oh, a pink drink.
- 36:09Speaker 5: I mean, I feel like though, like you're on the
- 36:11Speaker 5: top TV show, but thank you.
- 36:13Speaker 1: But that's the thing you're not, and you're still doing
- 36:18Speaker 1: crazy shit. That's why I say, I've had my grind
- 36:20Speaker 1: for fourteen years, but look at what you've done, like
- 36:24Speaker 1: it really is inspiring. It's kind of like looking at
- 36:26Speaker 1: someone like Rod Stewart versus like artists today, where I'm
- 36:30Speaker 1: like Rod Stewart got to where he is with zero
- 36:33Speaker 1: social media. That's true.
- 36:35Speaker 5: You had to go out and like either buy his
- 36:37Speaker 5: little cassette Forever Young.
- 36:39Speaker 1: Don't even talk to me about Forever Young. Such a anthem. Okay,
- 36:42Speaker 1: you have to cue that song. It's such a good song.
- 36:44Speaker 1: It's so good. So you are someone I'm impressed by.
- 36:48Speaker 1: But because you didn't have anybody like pushing you to
- 36:52Speaker 1: the top, you did it all on your own. And
- 36:53Speaker 1: that's why I was like, who the fuck does her
- 36:55Speaker 1: PR because you're everywhere. Then I'm working with Doe and
- 36:58Speaker 1: they're like, oh, by the way, this is skinny confidentials
- 37:02Speaker 1: that you'll be We need to give them la dough.
- 37:05Speaker 1: Make it happen, Like who is running shit with you guys?
- 37:08Speaker 1: Because you're killing it. We need to We need to
- 37:10Speaker 1: give them lalla dough. That would be good.
- 37:11Speaker 5: And like that green color that you have for your line,
- 37:14Speaker 5: it's like the perfect it's like a sea foam kind
- 37:16Speaker 5: of green.
- 37:17Speaker 4: The unlock, which I think like you're already onto it's
- 37:19Speaker 4: like once you realize that nobody's actually going to do
- 37:23Speaker 4: it for you, and that like there is no PR,
- 37:25Speaker 4: there's no press, there's no agent, there's no manager. Like
- 37:28Speaker 4: and I'm not saying that we haven't worked with great
- 37:30Speaker 4: people like we have over the years, but in large
- 37:32Speaker 4: part it's been like really understanding that if you want
- 37:34Speaker 4: to build something great, like you got to put in
- 37:36Speaker 4: the time, you got to from the effort, you've got
- 37:37Speaker 4: to fucking do it yourself. Like it's like there's not
- 37:39Speaker 4: it's nobody's gonna hand it to you and there's a competition.
- 37:42Speaker 5: I would also caveat that was saying that it's important
- 37:44Speaker 5: to have strategic people around you or or.
- 37:50Speaker 1: And I, by the way.
- 37:51Speaker 5: That could mean like reading Charlie Munger's book, like I'm
- 37:54Speaker 5: not saying like it, and I love how much you
- 37:55Speaker 5: love books.
- 37:56Speaker 1: I love them large.
- 37:58Speaker 4: The largest thing though, is like I think when you
- 38:00Speaker 4: think about any of the stuff, are people that have
- 38:01Speaker 4: had success in this new kind of landscape roll And
- 38:03Speaker 4: it's like, if you're putting out stuff that people find
- 38:07Speaker 4: valuable that's helping them in their life, whether it's inspiring
- 38:09Speaker 4: them like I said, of making them laugh or educating
- 38:11Speaker 4: them or like whatever, like they'll kind of support you
- 38:14Speaker 4: enough where like they kind of they're your publicists, like
- 38:16Speaker 4: they do it for you. Tell me like we don't
- 38:19Speaker 4: have a lot, like a lot of outside resources, but
- 38:22Speaker 4: like the audience is so supportive and they back whatever
- 38:25Speaker 4: she does.
- 38:25Speaker 1: I also think this is something I think that's in
- 38:28Speaker 1: AA just that I learned through my sister, is that
- 38:30Speaker 1: acknowledging people.
- 38:31Speaker 5: People want to be acknowledged. So if you have like
- 38:34Speaker 5: this huge following and you can't take ten to twenty
- 38:37Speaker 5: to thirty minutes of your day to acknowledge the people
- 38:41Speaker 5: that have supported you, you're right, that's a problem. No,
- 38:43Speaker 5: you're right, Like every once in a while, I'll like
- 38:45Speaker 5: put my audiences clear the teacher list on my stories,
- 38:49Speaker 5: or all put their brand on my stories, or like
- 38:52Speaker 5: all retweet something that you like. You have to support
- 38:55Speaker 5: the people that have supported you.
- 38:57Speaker 1: Absolutely.
- 38:57Speaker 5: There becomes a problem when you get too many followers.
- 39:00Speaker 5: And we all know these influencers now that have ten
- 39:03Speaker 5: million followers. Right where there's a there's a wall, there's
- 39:07Speaker 5: a barrier between the influencer and in the follower, and
- 39:12Speaker 5: that's when it becomes celebrity, which becomes unattainable. What Bethany
- 39:15Speaker 5: Frankl has done so well and seamless is she's broken
- 39:19Speaker 5: the wall down. So you feel like when you're watching
- 39:22Speaker 5: her TikTok that she is your friend giving you sound
- 39:26Speaker 5: advice and she's you haven't watched her TikTok. She's doing
- 39:30Speaker 5: it perfectly. And you know who else is crushing it, Oh,
- 39:32Speaker 5: Spencer Pratt, Well, she's speaking to you.
- 39:34Speaker 1: Spencer Pratt has been killing the game.
- 39:36Speaker 5: Spencer Pratt is killing it because you feel like when
- 39:39Speaker 5: he is on his TikTok that he's talking to you.
- 39:41Speaker 5: And he's become so much more likable because you've got
- 39:44Speaker 5: to know the ins and outs and the whys.
- 39:46Speaker 1: Totally. Yeah, he's doing a very good job. Oh my gosh,
- 39:50Speaker 1: you're giving My mind is going insane right now. I
- 39:53Speaker 1: wish you could be in it. I feel like it's
- 39:55Speaker 1: so many going away, like the like the facade between
- 39:59Speaker 1: the you have to like get down and dirty with
- 40:01Speaker 1: the people who are supporting you. But I feel like
- 40:04Speaker 1: that is like the recipe to success these days is
- 40:09Speaker 1: when people come and buy you know, whether it's a
- 40:12Speaker 1: lip gloss or a palette. They're doing it because I'm
- 40:17Speaker 1: I'm not a makeup artist. I'm doing it. There's no
- 40:21Speaker 1: glamorous lighting. It's like me and my mirror, and it's
- 40:25Speaker 1: it's something that is approachable.
- 40:27Speaker 5: I also would layer with the fact that they've seen
- 40:29Speaker 5: what you've gone through and they want to support you,
- 40:31Speaker 5: which is that that would make me want to cry.
- 40:34Speaker 5: That's like amazing that they they're going to a checkout
- 40:37Speaker 5: you're You're right, you're not a makeup artist. I mean
- 40:39Speaker 5: your makeup, whatever you're wearing right now, it's like I
- 40:41Speaker 5: don't even think you're wearing anything, but you're just naturally
- 40:43Speaker 5: pretty nice. So I think people one want to look
- 40:46Speaker 5: like you but they also want to support you and
- 40:48Speaker 5: everything you've gone through. And then that is like, oh
- 40:50Speaker 5: my god, that's a community.
- 40:52Speaker 1: That is a community. I mean, do you, Michael help
- 40:56Speaker 1: her with when when you came to him with the idea,
- 40:59Speaker 1: because so you guys are like best friends as well
- 41:01Speaker 1: as all loves and friends. I'm playing that in the car.
- 41:07Speaker 1: She comes to you and she's like, I want to
- 41:08Speaker 1: start this line so it doesn't Does he help you
- 41:12Speaker 1: with any of that? Yes? Do you help me so much?
- 41:15Speaker 1: Because you're a fucking genius? No? No, no, he's a.
- 41:17Speaker 4: Gene actually yes, no, no, keep going. What else am
- 41:19Speaker 4: I not?
- 41:20Speaker 1: He's a genius with a huge dick. No, Oh, that's
- 41:23Speaker 1: the best. All I want is to add that to
- 41:26Speaker 1: my list for the last You know, what's the best
- 41:27Speaker 1: thing about this man is his brain?
- 41:30Speaker 4: Well just I think smart. I think. I try to
- 41:34Speaker 4: look at things we were talking about this earlier. I
- 41:36Speaker 4: don't even have made in the I think about how
- 41:38Speaker 4: things connect, right, and I think like mushrooms all the time.
- 41:43Speaker 4: I look at more and I'm like, okay, you want
- 41:44Speaker 4: to build this online community. Okay, but then if you
- 41:46Speaker 4: once you do that, you have to create this content
- 41:48Speaker 4: and it has to be these kind of ways and
- 41:50Speaker 4: has to serve them in this way. But then once
- 41:51Speaker 4: you do that, like what is that? What does that
- 41:53Speaker 4: community really want for you? And it's like this product
- 41:56Speaker 4: line of course, like we helped fund it and I
- 41:58Speaker 4: can help put like operators place and all these things
- 42:01Speaker 4: that you take to operate a business, which honestly you
- 42:03Speaker 4: can read books about and figure out. Right, it's just
- 42:04Speaker 4: like practicing, but it's more important to think about like
- 42:07Speaker 4: how is that brand positioned within the entire ecosphere? And
- 42:11Speaker 4: is this something the community is going to resonate with?
- 42:13Speaker 4: And like when we talk about the product, I'm like,
- 42:15Speaker 4: does it make sense to come out X, Y or
- 42:17Speaker 4: Z product? And like what I what I try to
- 42:20Speaker 4: do because this is largely her brainchild and her things,
- 42:22Speaker 4: Like I come in with the edits and be like, okay,
- 42:24Speaker 4: does that make sense to the storyline? Does that make
- 42:26Speaker 4: sense to like like if you're gonna launch this, like
- 42:29Speaker 4: does it make sense to everything else you've been talking about?
- 42:31Speaker 4: Or like does this skew really mash up with everything else?
- 42:34Speaker 1: And I think some people like this Why he's trying
- 42:36Speaker 1: to say nicely is that I am like psycho creatives
- 42:40Speaker 1: and I'll have six hundred ideas and he funnels I
- 42:42Speaker 1: think people, right, But that's important to have that oh yeah,
- 42:44Speaker 1: oh yeah.
- 42:45Speaker 4: People fuck up in business because they have an idea
- 42:47Speaker 4: and it's a short term idea. They don't think all
- 42:49Speaker 4: the way to the end. And then what they do
- 42:51Speaker 4: is like, when you start having any kind of success
- 42:53Speaker 4: in life, you're going to get all sorts of different opportunities,
- 42:56Speaker 4: and the hard thing is to be disciplined and not
- 42:58Speaker 4: just jump at every opportunity, because then you're like like
- 43:00Speaker 4: a squirrel just chasing a bunch of different nuts, right,
- 43:02Speaker 4: and it's like it all becomes disjointed. So it's an
- 43:04Speaker 4: easy trap to fall into when you're having early success
- 43:07Speaker 4: because everyone's throwing hey, do you want to promote this?
- 43:09Speaker 4: Do you want to partner with this? You want to
- 43:10Speaker 4: do this? You're like yes, yes, yes, and all of
- 43:12Speaker 4: a sudden, like your story doesn't make sense anymore, and
- 43:14Speaker 4: the audience is like what the fuck are you doing?
- 43:16Speaker 4: And so what I tried to do with anyone I
- 43:18Speaker 4: work with is like, hey, how does this all make
- 43:19Speaker 4: sense to the long term vision that you're building?
- 43:21Speaker 1: Okay, we're different sides of the brain completely, but That's
- 43:25Speaker 1: why it works because you because I'm like you where
- 43:28Speaker 1: I sit there and I'm like, let's do it all.
- 43:31Speaker 1: It doesn't make any fucking sense, but whatever, you know,
- 43:34Speaker 1: as long as my logos on it, it does.
- 43:36Speaker 5: You know you've done a good job. How you rolled
- 43:39Speaker 5: out your brands. They your brands do make sense.
- 43:41Speaker 4: Well, you can do it all. You just have to
- 43:43Speaker 4: map out how all all of that is coming together
- 43:45Speaker 4: and when right, Like sometimes you got to pass like
- 43:47Speaker 4: not this one, not now, this one, maybe later, but
- 43:49Speaker 4: it's all just got to map out. It's like we
- 43:51Speaker 4: all know these people that like, all of a sudden
- 43:52Speaker 4: they do something like what the fuck is that? That
- 43:54Speaker 4: makes no sense?
- 43:55Speaker 1: Right?
- 43:55Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 43:56Speaker 1: No, I do know because I have this internal battle
- 43:59Speaker 1: daily of what makes sense what doesn't make sense, And
- 44:02Speaker 1: I don't have a person where I can be my filter.
- 44:07Speaker 5: You can text this anytime if this is my favorite
- 44:09Speaker 5: conversation with anyone who I like love looking at a
- 44:13Speaker 5: brand from a bird's eye view and being like, okay,
- 44:15Speaker 5: move this like a chessboard.
- 44:16Speaker 1: Totally.
- 44:18Speaker 4: Yes. If I have one talent, it's like and I'm
- 44:21Speaker 4: because I know I am, I'm decent on a mic
- 44:25Speaker 4: and I can hold a conversation. But I am not talent,
- 44:27Speaker 4: meaning like, Lauren is the talent, and I can recognize it,
- 44:29Speaker 4: and you are a talent. And I think where I'm
- 44:31Speaker 4: helpful sometimes is by recognizing that potential and saying, Okay,
- 44:35Speaker 4: now let's like really get what's in your brain, what
- 44:37Speaker 4: you really want to do, and like map it out
- 44:39Speaker 4: in an organized way.
- 44:40Speaker 1: Okay, no, I love that. I mean, obviously, look at
- 44:44Speaker 1: what you've built.
- 44:45Speaker 5: Yeah, it's pretty someone said the other day, They're like
- 44:48Speaker 5: they're going to be talking about you in like in
- 44:51Speaker 5: podcast like books in like twenty years because what he's
- 44:55Speaker 5: done with your media is so disruptive to the podcast space.
- 44:58Speaker 5: It's so different than what any other podcast network is doing.
- 45:03Speaker 1: He's building brand, I know.
- 45:05Speaker 4: Because I'm not interested in actually building anyone's podcast, right.
- 45:08Speaker 1: That's which is when you're interested in building their brands.
- 45:11Speaker 4: Right, interested in saying like, Okay, this is a good
- 45:13Speaker 4: cornerstone of the internet to control a lot of attention
- 45:16Speaker 4: and have a lot of engagement, but now, what do
- 45:18Speaker 4: you want to do with it?
- 45:19Speaker 1: And he also doesn't kick people off networks because they
- 45:22Speaker 1: said something on a mic, which seems like.
- 45:25Speaker 4: Well, because I don't care about just like this is
- 45:27Speaker 4: pretty mind blowing. I don't really care about just getting
- 45:28Speaker 4: their dollars right because like, again, I'm building a brand.
- 45:31Speaker 4: And like, to me, if you're garnishing attention or garnering
- 45:34Speaker 4: attention and people are paying attention, like you have the
- 45:36Speaker 4: ability to then do something great, right.
- 45:38Speaker 1: He's not trying to control Like hell.
- 45:40Speaker 4: You know, you know whatever advertisers doesn't like what this
- 45:43Speaker 4: person says, they're pulling out. It's like, okay, fine, pull out.
- 45:45Speaker 4: We're not focused on it, like you're part of it.
- 45:47Speaker 4: You're part of the.
- 45:47Speaker 1: Cash over starting the wind. Oh my gosh, my dad
- 45:51Speaker 1: used to say that. No one has ever said that.
- 45:54Speaker 1: I said it the other day and someone looked at
- 45:56Speaker 1: me like I was insane, and they're like, what does
- 45:57Speaker 1: that mean? I love that you just at that. You're
- 46:01Speaker 1: like a cute. They're like a fart in the wind.
- 46:04Speaker 1: I have to know, and I literally hate when people
- 46:07Speaker 1: ask me this question, but I'm going to ask you
- 46:08Speaker 1: anyway now, with two kids, what is the balancing act?
- 46:13Speaker 1: I hate when people ask me this, but I have
- 46:15Speaker 1: to know, Like, do you feel mom guilt all the time?
- 46:19Speaker 1: If I feel mom guilt being here, don't you like,
- 46:21Speaker 1: do you like I feel mom guilt being away any second? No,
- 46:24Speaker 1: I feel that, And even so I obviously am. I
- 46:28Speaker 1: share my child and I can't imagine. By the way,
- 46:32Speaker 1: that's no, a lot extremely difficult, and I have to
- 46:35Speaker 1: plan out my days or weeks with people, and there
- 46:39Speaker 1: are times where it's I can't do the whole Like, hey,
- 46:42Speaker 1: do you want to hang out tonight? I got my kid.
- 46:44Speaker 1: Doesn't matter if she's going to be asleep, because I'm
- 46:46Speaker 1: going to be there while she's sleeping, So I definitely
- 46:49Speaker 1: know what you're feeling just by being here.
- 46:51Speaker 5: You have to have friends that are not high maintenance,
- 46:55Speaker 5: because if someone is high mat like my kids are
- 46:58Speaker 5: my number one priority, I want to be with them.
- 47:01Speaker 5: We were talking about this the other day. We want
- 47:03Speaker 5: to travel with our kids, not a lot of people
- 47:05Speaker 5: like some people don't, which is fine, that's great.
- 47:07Speaker 1: Can I come as a third wheel with my kids?
- 47:09Speaker 1: Come with ocean?
- 47:10Speaker 4: We don't don't want to, Like I think, like the
- 47:12Speaker 4: whole point of having kids is to be with them,
- 47:14Speaker 4: right And like, I get what. Everybody needs a break
- 47:16Speaker 4: once in a while. I'm not saying they don't, but like
- 47:17Speaker 4: there's you know, there's a lot of people out there
- 47:20Speaker 4: that are like constantly trying to escape their children, and like,
- 47:22Speaker 4: I it has to.
- 47:23Speaker 5: Be for work for me, Yeah, it has Yeah, it's
- 47:28Speaker 5: And by the way, I want to say this, I
- 47:30Speaker 5: have help.
- 47:31Speaker 1: Like I'm not trying to be like I do it all.
- 47:32Speaker 1: I'm an octopu. But you're also but you're also a
- 47:35Speaker 1: work I'm glad you're acknowledging that, because obviously having help
- 47:38Speaker 1: is a luxury to help, but you also both work.
- 47:42Speaker 1: You're not a stay at home moms three years old.
- 47:46Speaker 5: I'm I'm glad that they see me work. It's I
- 47:49Speaker 5: think it's an incredible thing for them to see both
- 47:52Speaker 5: of us bringing an income.
- 47:54Speaker 1: Yeah, but at the same time, I still have more.
- 47:56Speaker 1: I mean, it's it's the thing's a part of being
- 47:58Speaker 1: a mother fuck though, because you're like it's like you
- 48:01Speaker 1: can't win.
- 48:03Speaker 5: It's like that if you stay at home, then I'm
- 48:06Speaker 5: sure there's all these different things with that. It's like,
- 48:08Speaker 5: you really, that's what the hard thing for me about
- 48:10Speaker 5: being a parent.
- 48:10Speaker 4: It's not black and white, but when it comes down
- 48:13Speaker 4: to the reason I feel absolutely zero guilt about help
- 48:16Speaker 4: is like, we work hard to do this and I
- 48:17Speaker 4: know that without doing this kind of thing and working
- 48:20Speaker 4: the way we do, that I know personally I would
- 48:22Speaker 4: not be a happy, fulfilled person.
- 48:23Speaker 5: But I have asked you as a man, I said,
- 48:26Speaker 5: do you feel this guilt that I feel?
- 48:29Speaker 1: And you said, no, I don't. Is that because a
- 48:32Speaker 1: man is supposed to be, like in a cookie cutter world,
- 48:35Speaker 1: a provider?
- 48:36Speaker 4: No, I don't think I feel the guilt, not because
- 48:38Speaker 4: of any kind of male female thing. I feel like
- 48:40Speaker 4: I've gotten okay in my brain that like I know
- 48:44Speaker 4: what I was saying a second ago. If that if
- 48:46Speaker 4: I wasn't able to work the way I do and
- 48:48Speaker 4: do the things that I wouldn't be a fulfilled, happy
- 48:50Speaker 4: person my own life, which would an effect negatively impact
- 48:53Speaker 4: my children because I wouldn't be happy, right, and I
- 48:56Speaker 4: want to be able to bring the happiest version of
- 48:58Speaker 4: myself to my children. So like part of that day
- 49:01Speaker 4: includes me, you know, working and being away and obviously
- 49:04Speaker 4: utilizing help. And then the other part is I think
- 49:06Speaker 4: it's a woman.
- 49:07Speaker 1: I know, but can I tell you I get what
- 49:10Speaker 1: both of you are saying. And I had this conversation
- 49:12Speaker 1: with Stossy. Whatever makes you feel happy and fulfilled is
- 49:16Speaker 1: exactly what you should do right because your kids feel
- 49:19Speaker 1: that correct. For me, I'm like you, Michael, I don't
- 49:24Speaker 1: think that I would feel fulfilled if I were a
- 49:28Speaker 1: stay at home mom. I like to work. I watched
- 49:30Speaker 1: my mom work. It's just in my nature where I
- 49:33Speaker 1: like to be out there and it just makes me
- 49:36Speaker 1: feel independent. It fuels a part of me that needs
- 49:39Speaker 1: to be fueled. Where a lot of my friends who
- 49:43Speaker 1: live in Utah stay at home moms and they're totally content,
- 49:46Speaker 1: and then they'll talk to me and be like, but
- 49:48Speaker 1: I feel like I feel like when I talk to you,
- 49:51Speaker 1: like you think that you're looking at me a certain way,
- 49:53Speaker 1: and I'm like, I'm not looking at you like anything.
- 49:55Speaker 1: If you are happy and content and fulfilled in your
- 49:58Speaker 1: life as a stay at home mom, that is exactly
- 50:00Speaker 1: where you should be. And by the way, I don't
- 50:03Speaker 1: think I could do it. By the way, what can
- 50:05Speaker 1: we just like say this? Everyone is different. I hate
- 50:09Speaker 1: to be different. We don't all have to be the same.
- 50:11Speaker 1: There's people can't grasp her fative, like where did we
- 50:15Speaker 1: get day's plans for? We have to all love one thing?
- 50:18Speaker 1: They think if you say I couldn't be at stay
- 50:20Speaker 1: at home mom, that you're shitting on stay at home moms,
- 50:22Speaker 1: and that's not what it's about. It's about finding what
- 50:25Speaker 1: makes you personally happy. And it might be a mix.
- 50:27Speaker 1: Maybe you want to do both, like tonally.
- 50:30Speaker 4: If there's like one rule that Laura and I live by,
- 50:31Speaker 4: like we don't give other people parenting advice. We don't
- 50:33Speaker 4: tell them how to parent, and we we do share
- 50:35Speaker 4: kind of how we do, but we never say our
- 50:37Speaker 4: way is right for everybody else, because everybody's completely different.
- 50:40Speaker 4: And if you're staying home and you're working, that makes
- 50:42Speaker 4: you happy and you feel like a great parent.
- 50:43Speaker 1: Like I will say the best piece of advice that
- 50:46Speaker 1: I've ever got about parents.
- 50:47Speaker 4: If you're working and going out and then like that
- 50:49Speaker 4: makes you happy. Like I think it's so dicey to
- 50:52Speaker 4: just blanketly give people parenting.
- 50:54Speaker 1: The advice was good. I have to give this one advice.
- 50:56Speaker 5: Jamie O'Banion, who owns Beauty Bio, has four children. She
- 51:00Speaker 5: is running a multimillion dollar company Badass, and she came
- 51:03Speaker 5: on the podcast and I was like, like, four children,
- 51:06Speaker 5: you gotta fuck your husband.
- 51:07Speaker 1: Like it's like like so much a lot.
- 51:11Speaker 5: It's like jack you off under the table. Why I
- 51:13Speaker 5: make keen wa and like on Instagram, like, what do
- 51:16Speaker 5: you want me to do while I'm trying to learn
- 51:19Speaker 5: from a podcast? Like it's like a lot.
- 51:21Speaker 4: Is that under the table thing an option?
- 51:23Speaker 1: Anyway? That's always an option. It's always an option. I
- 51:26Speaker 1: always rally. So I said, what do you like? What
- 51:28Speaker 1: do you do? What's the advice?
- 51:30Speaker 5: And she said, Lauren, when I lay my head down
- 51:32Speaker 5: on the pillow, I either think I was a great
- 51:35Speaker 5: mom today or I think I was a great business woman.
- 51:37Speaker 1: She's like, I've never laid it down. Thought both Wow,
- 51:40Speaker 1: And that totally resonated for me because I'm like, Yeah,
- 51:43Speaker 1: there's gonna be days of the week where I like,
- 51:46Speaker 1: you're You're not gonna lay your head down on the
- 51:48Speaker 1: pillow and it's too high of an expectation on yourself.
- 51:52Speaker 1: I love that I did too. It made me feel better.
- 51:54Speaker 1: Someone asked me on on tour, what advice can you
- 51:59Speaker 1: give me as someone who's about to give birth and
- 52:01Speaker 1: be a new mom, And I was like, the advice
- 52:02Speaker 1: I'm gonna give you is don't take any advice from anybody.
- 52:05Speaker 1: It's because you're going to figure it out on your
- 52:08Speaker 1: own and what works for you and what works for
- 52:10Speaker 1: you is going to be different from every other parent
- 52:12Speaker 1: that you know.
- 52:13Speaker 5: And by the way, and we learned this on our podcast,
- 52:16Speaker 5: is You your life? It ebbs and flows and you
- 52:19Speaker 5: can be thrown a curveball that no one can understand.
- 52:22Speaker 5: Like you mentioned like it's hard to find a therapist.
- 52:24Speaker 5: How can you find a therapist who understands what you've
- 52:26Speaker 5: gone through when you've gone through like I'm sure you're
- 52:29Speaker 5: like talking to someone and they're like, this is a
- 52:31Speaker 5: unique experience.
- 52:32Speaker 1: It is, Yeah, totally, No, it's you just go I've
- 52:36Speaker 1: learned with life, you just roll with the fucking punches.
- 52:39Speaker 1: I never thought that like AA would come in handy
- 52:41Speaker 1: in my everyday life because when you when you're a newcomer,
- 52:45Speaker 1: you just think like this is gonna help me not drink. No,
- 52:48Speaker 1: it helps you just deal with life one day at
- 52:51Speaker 1: a time. What's the best AA advice? I think the
- 52:54Speaker 1: best AA advice was when which I said this to
- 52:57Speaker 1: you listen to people who have what you want. Yeah,
- 53:02Speaker 1: that's a good one. That one always stuck with me.
- 53:05Speaker 1: I feel like I need to read that book. Is
- 53:07Speaker 1: that weird to read that?
- 53:08Speaker 4: No?
- 53:08Speaker 1: I actually encourage people whether you want to get sober
- 53:11Speaker 1: or you're just like a total normy to read it.
- 53:14Speaker 5: My sister told me one that I'm obsessed with, like
- 53:16Speaker 5: what other people.
- 53:17Speaker 1: Think of you as none of your business? Should I
- 53:19Speaker 1: say that? Right? Say it again? What other people think
- 53:22Speaker 1: of me is none of my business? Yes, they're Can
- 53:25Speaker 1: I tell you, because you're a big reader, you should
- 53:27Speaker 1: read it.
- 53:27Speaker 5: I know I'm kind of like really interested in reading it.
- 53:29Speaker 5: I don't know how I haven't read that. You've got
- 53:31Speaker 5: to read it. I encourage everyone to do that. Okay,
- 53:34Speaker 5: if people are living under a rock, where can people
- 53:36Speaker 5: find you?
- 53:37Speaker 1: Guys at Lauren Bostic and at the Skinny Confidential.
- 53:39Speaker 4: You love it. It's our schell, and then anything on dear media.
- 53:42Speaker 1: I'm obsessed. Thank you guys so much. Thank you for
- 53:45Speaker 1: having us. Of course,
