Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: There's sure report on ninety six am. I think first up,
- 0:08Speaker 1: it goes without saying that we, like everyone else around
- 0:12Speaker 1: the world, was so saddened to hear of the death
- 0:14Speaker 1: of yesterday.
- 0:16Speaker 2: Well, and how quickly it had happened, because he had
- 0:18Speaker 2: been sort of visible recently.
- 0:22Speaker 1: Yeah, he was diagnosed with blood cancer. He was in remission.
- 0:27Speaker 1: But it's got to take a toll on your body,
- 0:29Speaker 1: and so I wasn't entirely shocked, but yes, it did.
- 0:33Speaker 2: I think it was a timing. Maybe, Yes, it happened so.
- 0:35Speaker 1: So and the timing. I was literally sitting on the
- 0:38Speaker 1: couch watching the last episode of the twelve which he's in.
- 0:41Speaker 1: Oh yes, when our producer Susie sent the message, and
- 0:44Speaker 1: I had to sort of read it three times. But
- 0:48Speaker 1: I knew that people loved him and have interviewed him once.
- 0:52Speaker 1: He was just divine and he is all class. But
- 0:56Speaker 1: the outpouring yesterday from every corner of the world, all
- 1:00Speaker 1: the various actors and directors and everyone that have worked
- 1:03Speaker 1: with him, it just showed that, you know, he is
- 1:06Speaker 1: one man.
- 1:07Speaker 2: Message from Spielberg just to everybody.
- 1:10Speaker 1: He is one man who you know, people do not
- 1:13Speaker 1: have a bad word.
- 1:14Speaker 2: About He conducted himself very well, and he were trying
- 1:18Speaker 2: and off screen.
- 1:19Speaker 1: He worked right up to the end. So he is
- 1:21Speaker 1: going to be very sadly missed. And I mean he
- 1:23Speaker 1: looked so God it was a handsome man, seventy eight
- 1:25Speaker 1: years old. Even though he was a good look at Yeah,
- 1:29Speaker 1: this most recent series of the twelve, he looked. You know,
- 1:33Speaker 1: I'm sitting there looking at him on the screen. He
- 1:35Speaker 1: looks so well. And anyway, Sam Neil, you will be missed.
- 1:41Speaker 1: While we were on holiday, Madonna released her new album
- 1:45Speaker 1: Versions to a sequel of sorts to Confessions on a
- 1:48Speaker 1: Dance Floor from the early two thousands, and it's just
- 1:50Speaker 1: become her tenth number one album on the Billboard two
- 1:54Speaker 1: hundred chart and makes Madonna the first act with a
- 1:57Speaker 1: number one album in the twenty twenties to have also
- 1:59Speaker 1: topped the chart in three other decades. Furthermore, Madonna becomes
- 2:04Speaker 1: only the fourth act ever to have achieved at least
- 2:07Speaker 1: ten number ones on both the Billboard two hundred Albums
- 2:09Speaker 1: chart and the Billboard Hot one hundred Songs chart. And
- 2:13Speaker 1: just to add one more accolade, Confessions to makes for
- 2:15Speaker 1: the biggest streaming week she's had for one of her albums.
- 2:18Speaker 2: I haven't heard it doesn't surprise, but very positive reviews
- 2:22Speaker 2: for it.
- 2:22Speaker 1: You know, whatever you think of Madonna, she's still got it.
- 2:26Speaker 1: Plans are in place for a reboot of A Nightmare
- 2:30Speaker 1: on Elm Street. They're pretty loose plans, mind you. There's
- 2:33Speaker 1: no writer, there's no director, and there's no Robert England.
- 2:40Speaker 1: Is it even a nightmare without Robert England's Freddy Krueger?
- 2:44Speaker 1: Or merely a bad dream?
- 2:45Speaker 2: Was Freddy?
- 2:46Speaker 1: Yeah? I guess we'll see. Paramount Studios has confirmed it's
- 2:49Speaker 1: closed a deal for the rights to Wes Craven's original
- 2:51Speaker 1: nineteen eighty four screenplay. England is still around. He turned
- 2:55Speaker 1: seventy nine last month, and Freddie is a character he
- 2:58Speaker 1: always said he'll never say never two, So we shall see.

- 3:26Speaker 1: And Netflix has officially green lit a competition series based
- 3:31Speaker 1: on the game of Monopoly Twelve Players. No that that's
- 3:37Speaker 1: a movie. They're talking about making a movie based on Monopoly.
- 3:42Speaker 1: This is a bit like the way they did Squid
- 3:44Speaker 1: Game as a competition seria. This will be a competition series.
- 3:50Speaker 1: Twelve players will vuy for a grand prize of two
- 3:52Speaker 1: million dollars. The competition will unfold and a life sized
- 3:56Speaker 1: version of Monopoly town Square where players will engage in
- 4:00Speaker 1: strategic negotiations and decisions to avoid elimination and bankruptcy.
- 4:05Speaker 2: So life size, so it's a little hard for someone
- 4:07Speaker 2: to get angry and flip the board, which.
- 4:10Speaker 1: Is usually red houses. You'd find them for weeks anyway.
