- 0:00Well, Daniel Delaney is here. We believe Mr. Edward is here. I remember him. I could feel his presence.
- 0:08He was a very strong presence in life and he's a very strong presence after life.
- 0:15Boys wore this beatable hat and a beatable jacket. And many people have seen that spirit walk
- 0:21across the porch or up the staircase in the other room. And little kids who are sensitive to it,
- 0:28who are like, "I'm staring at me." And then it's like, "Hey!" And they say, "What does he look at?"
- 0:33It was worn as pulled out and baggy jacket. It's like the same guy.
- 0:37Hi, Caitlyn. Hi, Cassie. Hi, creepy people. Hello! If you're new to our creepy corner of the world,
- 0:46this is PNW Haunts and Homicides, where me and Caitlyn usually chat about true crime, the paranormal,
- 0:52and all things spooky in the Pacific Northwest. It's the PNW, if you're nice.
- 1:00And we do tarot rating at the end of every episode for a little deeper insight into our topic.
- 1:04We don't have our cameras on for the intro, but don't you worry, because you will see us on
- 1:08Location, on on scene, on the site. The scene of the crime.
- 1:16And the scene of literally the scene of the crime. Like actually literally.
- 1:21Yeah. So we are visiting our topic for the day, and we took our cameras with us, and we did a couple
- 1:27interviews, and cut two. So we're here on Location. Obviously, this isn't the pod studio.
- 1:39No. And we have kind of a secret guest with us, who prefers not to be on camera.
- 1:46They are here. We're here with Vicki, who owns the Delaney House in Salem.
- 1:52It's an Airbnb. It's available for rent. Is it rent? Is that what you call it? What do you call it?
- 1:58Yeah, I guess. Temporary rent. What does that call it?
- 2:01It's literally it's just called for rent.
- 2:04Totally. And we're not called for talent.
- 2:06But anyway, you can stay here if you want, if you're brave enough.
- 2:10We do have some interesting history with this house. You want to go ahead and start by telling us
- 2:16a little bit about it, a little bit about how you got the house.
- 2:19Well, we were looking for a house up here in Salem, and the house that we had found fell out of
- 2:25escrow. So we decided to come up here personally. We were in California and look for something.
- 2:32And this house went on sale the day we came up. Oh, wow.
- 2:36And it was the last house that we looked at, and I went, yes, let's do the paperwork now.
- 2:40It was clearly meant to be. If fully restored house, it took some 10 years to restore this house.
- 2:46They moved it 100 yards from next door, brought it over here.
- 2:50And it's just had such a good feeling to it, and I felt like I was going to get part of history.
- 2:57So yeah. So we got it that night. The day it went on sale.
- 3:04Wow. After 10 years of being restored. So I felt like it was meant to be.
- 3:07There was no like bidding war. You weren't fighting anybody else for the house. No one else wanted it.
- 3:11They took it. Oh, wow. That's amazing.
- 3:14It was like just hours and we got the house. So I think there was surprise somebody to get so quick.
- 3:20But yeah. So I guess it was meant to be.
- 3:24The person who built the house, Daniel Delaney, he was one of the original Oregon pioneers,
- 3:32came up to Oregon Trail in 1843. He got a big land grant. And so that took him up here to turn her
- 3:41what this was turn her back in the day. And he brought his three sons and his wife. And he,
- 3:49unfortunately, brought his slave with him too. But in Oregon, you are not a slave. But
- 3:56they didn't really want anybody of color here either. So she was their housekeeper.
- 4:01Yeah. I mean, that's come up on the podcast a couple of times before.
- 4:05Yeah. And I really hate that part of the story except that I want to believe. And that's the feeling
- 4:10that I get when I throw this out here into the house and the spirits that are here that Rachel,
- 4:15Neumann's Rachel, Belden, and she, I just think that she just made the best of a really weird,
- 4:22bad, uncomfortable situation. Women had women, all of color and women had no rights back then.
- 4:28Yeah. And I think she took the situation and decided, I'm going to make the best of this. She became
- 4:34the woman of the house. Daniel D'Lini's wife Elizabeth went, I'm not, I don't want to
- 4:40to deal with this. And so she moved away. She moved into her son, David's house, which was across the
- 4:46field. And basically it was just Daniel and Rachel and eventually their two sons. Oh, lived here.
- 4:53Okay. And then she no longer wanted to live here at some point and moved out and took her sons with
- 5:00her. And that kind of brings it to the bad reason that we're kind of here is you got shot with a
- 5:07shotgun. They broke into the house. They broke all the doors. They went up in the attic and they
- 5:11did find approximately $1,500 with a gold, which they took with them. And most of it they got back
- 5:18after afterwards the family did get them money back. That's the history of the house. And then
- 5:24it belonged to a couple of different families. And then the Edwards family were the last ones that
- 5:29owned it. So if you look it up on the historical registry, it is the Delaney Edwards house.
- 5:33Okay. I was wondering where the Edwards came in. They owned the house for a very long time.
- 5:38And what I give them credit for is there's a picture over there. Ethel and Lawrence. Lawrence
- 5:46belonged to the he was a farmer here. And he decided that he wanted to build a big house. Well,
- 5:52here you're not supposed to have two full size houses on the same property. Oh, really? Yes. So he's
- 5:57belonged to the volunteer fire department and Turner. And he decided he was just going to have the
- 6:01house burned out and then he'd build a new house. Ethel found out about that and said, no, this house
- 6:08is too important historically. Yeah. She did all the paperwork and it's a book, this big of stuff that
- 6:16she had to do to get it on the historical registry. Oh my god. It's not easy. So Ethel saved the house.
- 6:23So this house was going to be burnt down. Yeah. Wow. It's here now. It's still standing. So you said
- 6:30it moved from its original location. Was it still on the same property? Yeah. The it was right behind us.
- 6:37100 yards over. There's a white house over there. And the barn that's over there actually was built by
- 6:43Daniel Delaney. They did not move the barn. Oh, I wish they had. I'd love to go over there. And you
- 6:49don't own that. Oh, okay. Separate property is now interesting. So so the barn is still there.
- 6:55And it sat out on basically out on the road right out here on Delaney Road. So the road Delaney
- 7:02Road was staying up again. It's so cute. It's themed. Yeah. So we want to point out really quick. There is
- 7:08what's this called again? EMS reader on the table. Just chill in just in case anyone wants to come
- 7:16and say hi or more than welcome to come and say hi. We were recording a podcast. Don't be scared by all
- 7:21the lights and equipment. We're very nice. So you can come hang out. There is a lovely offering of
- 7:29Jack Daniels. Who is this for Zoe? This was for Mr. Daniel Delaney. Daniels got it. Okay, so we
- 7:36have some flashlight, some mag lights set up. You know how they ghost hunters do it. And uh, oh,
- 7:42is that it going off right now? Oh, so it's been going off. So we have a couple of fun things.
- 7:47We have a Wow pendulum. Thank you. Pinch will come here. So if you see it crazy swinging. I mean,
- 7:55we could bump the table. But ask the guys. They're interested in letting us know they're here. If you
- 8:01want to let us see toys. There's the flashlight. There's the MF meter and there's a pendulum there.
- 8:06If they're interested, they all they have to do is touch them. You're more than welcome. Don't be shy.
- 8:11If you don't want to teach you, that's fine. It's really fine. Okay. So speaking of ghosts,
- 8:19is there ghosts here because we're kind of hinting around this topic. Okay. You've had some experiences
- 8:26here. I have had some experiences. I think the most fun one that we have is that our dog that
- 8:34had when we moved here, Max, he passed away a few years back. Right afterwards, we started
- 8:42feeling things and hearing things because Max himself saw spirits. He would, he'd be walking through a
- 8:51room and he would stop. Look and he'd wag his tail and he'd walk over and he'd lean on the air
- 9:00and just was the cutest little thing and he'd lean on the air. And he'd just be like he's getting scratch.
- 9:09And he'd, you know, just that that way that dogs are when you're petting them and then
- 9:14and then he'd stop and he'd look over and then it's like he'd follow them with his eyes and be
- 9:18wagging his tail and they'd be gone. So I think he had a friend here and I just think he's saved. I
- 9:26don't know if it's because of us. Or if he just maybe he's here with his friend. Yeah. Whatever it was,
- 9:30we don't know, but he did that all the time. He was constantly seeing someone, you know. So
- 9:38he was seeing another person. Now he's on the same side as them. But now he is. But yeah, but people
- 9:43feel him, you know, like he'd put his head on your lap or he had really long fingernails or toenails
- 9:51that we could never figure out. Clickety claps. Clickety clickety. And he'd shake his ears and you know,
- 9:57this little clap sound. So, you know, it's, it was very specific to him and he and our other dog,
- 10:05all I have all of our only ones that have ever been here and Oliver doesn't do any of the same things.
- 10:10No, very specifically all our max behaviors. Wow. Interesting. But I so I love hearing stories about
- 10:19like little spirit animals, ghosty dogs. Well, Daniel Delaney is here. We believe Mr.
- 10:26Skare. And we're right into it. Mr. Edwards is here. I've had a lot of people just stop by.
- 10:31I when I first moved here, we would go to the, I'd go to the front door and somebody would be like,
- 10:34hi, I used to live in this house. Can I come in and you're like, yes, you know, and they'd want to see
- 10:39and then they'd have stories to tell me. You're very brave. It's going to stand. And yes,
- 10:44is the response. Okay. All right. And but I've learned a lot and I've had quite a few people say,
- 10:51oh yeah, Mr. Edwards. I remember him. I could feel his presence. He was a very strong presence
- 10:58in life and he's a very strong presence after life. Boys wore this beatable hat and a beatable jacket.
- 11:05And many people have seen that spirit walk across the porch or up the staircase in the other room.
- 11:12And little kids who are sensitive to it, to like, man staring at me. And it's like, okay, you know,
- 11:19and they say, what is he look at? It was worn as old hat and a baggy jacket. It's like same guy.
- 11:25And we thought it was Daniel Bellany, but I've had quite a few people kind of confirm that it
- 11:30seems to be one's Edwards. Oh, that is very good to know. Like, have a little bit of a distinction
- 11:35between all the ghosts. Well, it's hard to tell, you know, sometimes you'll get voices. I've heard
- 11:40voices say hello to me. I've heard a man's voice say my name in my ear. Well, when we do
- 11:48paranormal investigations, the same group comes a lot and they have, they come kind of connected.
- 11:56The one woman does automatic writing and sometimes she'll, she stays connected. One, she's not even
- 12:01here and she'll sit down beforehand and say, you know, is there anything you want me to talk about
- 12:06or is there anything you want us to do? Anybody you want here and she'll just sit at home and write
- 12:11in her notebook. Wow. And then read it later and then, you know, try to remember to bring it back.
- 12:16They're very interesting. They're spirited conversations in the name of the group. Oh, that's cool.
- 12:21When they are here, they're like an antenna. Stuff just happens, you know, when they're in the room.
- 12:27And I feel like if they're here a lot and they're not disrespectful and making, you know,
- 12:31making things angry, not provoking. If they're nice, like, I feel like that would make the ghost want
- 12:36to talk to them more. Yeah. And they respect them and they ask them questions, you know, what can we do
- 12:40for you? And Daniel Bellany's only had one big request that he wants a photograph of himself
- 12:45in this house. Oh, I can't find one. And I said, well, then Daniel, if you want a photograph,
- 12:51please tell them where I can find one. Yeah. And happy to go get one. I've had a lot of different people
- 12:58searching the internet and searching all of the records and there's just no photos of him.
- 13:04No, not even after a big trial, you would have thought that somebody would have put his photograph
- 13:08with the murderers or whatever. Huh. In the newspaper. There was in the newspapers.
- 13:14I just had a thought of like, if you can't find one, you should get one of those like criminal people
- 13:19to like sketch him. Like, like, get jargons. Like, is there a description of what he looks like? Or a psychic.
- 13:24Would you like a psychic jargon? Would you like me to show you that that we did? You did that?
- 13:28Wait, what? Yes. Maggie and Sherry that come here, they also help solve
- 13:37closed cases and cold cases. And they work with a gentleman who is a sketch artist. And they sat
- 13:43and they worked on trying to get a good visual of what they looked like in their heads and then describe
- 13:48it to them. That's really cool. So I said, well, why did they show themselves as young? And
- 13:54what Maggie said was that most of the time, most spirits will show you themselves as how they felt
- 14:04the best in their life. Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. That is so cool. I can't believe I said that
- 14:10and then you just happen to have a picture of it. That's as close as they can come to what the,
- 14:15that's Rachel and Elizabeth, his wife was not very happy when we brought that into the house.
- 14:20Wow. We had, yeah, she had some words. She left. But she had some words to say to one of our ladies,
- 14:28I guess, though. Oh, wow. She was not happy about that at all. So we do a tea party when we do our
- 14:35spirit galleries here. We have everybody sit around and then we do a say on what I serve everybody tea.
- 14:40Oh, that's so fun. And a few years ago, Maggie was at a good will or some kind of a thrift store.
- 14:47And she hears voices. So she was walking along looking at some of the dishes and the lady goes,
- 14:51yeah, that's her mind dishes. And she's like, okay, yeah, that was right there. She does now. Now you need
- 14:56to get those glasses. And she goes, now, do you, I don't understand why are the glasses not on
- 15:02the same place as the dishes? So yeah, to go to the other aisle and you can get the plates. So you
- 15:08need to go over it. So take off, take the cups. Now you need to go and this lady is just telling her
- 15:12what to do. And so she's like, okay, so she goes over the next aisle and sure enough, she found the
- 15:17matching plates. And not a lot. It was just like two cups and a couple of plates, like four plates.
- 15:23And that's it. And she at least said, all right, well, okay, you take good care of those, all right?
- 15:27Like, okay, and she goes to take a man her husband, like, why do you have that mismatched bunch of dishes?
- 15:32She'll tell you later, I was told to and I'm just going to listen to her. So she took them home,
- 15:38put them in a box and they just sat at her house for a long time. And so when we decided to do this,
- 15:43she goes, I think I need to bring you some dishes. So she brought them over and she talked to the lady
- 15:49while she was here and the lady is with them. And she said, I just wanted you to know that I brought
- 15:55them here. We're going to be using them. You know, it's in a family home. And I thought you'd like
- 15:59that. And she said, the lady said that was good. So I had a shelf in there in my China cabinet. And
- 16:04I put them in there. And when we when we were sitting here talking, we heard,
- 16:08we were suddenly giving around in there. So I think she was getting settled and maybe looking around.
- 16:15Both Maggie always gets this cup and the sauce.
- 16:19Oh, that is so cool. Can I in my lot of hold it?
- 16:22So this is one of the haunted dishes. Yes. And I don't know. I don't know who's it is. I mean,
- 16:28I don't know the lady's name. I don't know that she ever got her name. So it was like a spirit telling
- 16:33her to collect her dishes and like take care of them, like save them from the antique store.
- 16:38Yeah. She didn't like them being at an antique store. That makes sense. I would, you know,
- 16:42and they weren't together. She just didn't like they weren't together. Yeah.
- 16:45Lights and the saucers just weren't together. Oh, well, it doesn't make any sense.
- 16:50Of course. Love be upset. I don't know. Do you want to? No, I just want to let me hand Kate
- 16:54let a haunted object. You guys did you? Did you?
- 16:57The paint the drawing wasn't haunted. That had good. No, I know. I'm just afraid of the drops.
- 17:03That was just me. We do smell cigar smoke a lot. And we don't smoke. So that usually tells us
- 17:10that Daniel the lady is around. That is something that a lot of people that come will bring a cigar
- 17:15and the whiskey like oh sure we did. And even if we don't give a lot of response from it,
- 17:22it's a very positive feeling. You know, it's like, great. He's happy. Yeah. He's happy.
- 17:27So I did have one question before we keep moving on. So just to like set the record straight.
- 17:32You because you've had a couple it sounds like spooky experiences, but you don't have a bad feeling
- 17:37here. We kind of talked about it earlier. Like tell us about the vibe here. I have never honestly had
- 17:42any negative feelings here. And with all of the different sayances and spirit galleries and
- 17:47paranormal investigations, with the exception of one person hearing that the ghost didn't want them
- 17:54to go in our attic. Never really had anything negative. And I don't know why the attic.
- 18:00Most people don't try to go in the attic. I would try to go in the attic. Yeah.
- 18:03And I've had people go up there and place like small items that maybe would, you know, roll or,
- 18:10you know, like a toy car or a marble or something. Just to see if they can get some movement.
- 18:14And nothing's really happened. And one group apparently, you know, had somebody, you know, say,
- 18:20no, they ask of they go in the attic. Oh, they just didn't. So, you know, respect. Okay. I'm glad that
- 18:27they didn't try to go. I have always felt welcomed. Right. When I first moved here, a woman would,
- 18:32I quite often, right here in the morning go, good morning. You know, so I always felt pretty welcomed.
- 18:39You know, I think that's probably because you like came in and you just had a good vibe about this
- 18:44place and wanted to save it and treated it well. Treat, treat, treat, treat,
- 18:48trot it well. That's what I was trying to say. Trot it well. Treat it well. I don't know. I can't speak.
- 18:54We do have Daniel Delaney's chair that he built in 1843 and his upstairs. It tends to rock by itself
- 19:03from time to time. We got it from a member of the Edwards family who the chair had been donated
- 19:12to the Salem old folks home. And then when that place closed down, they gave it back to the Delaney
- 19:18house, which was then owned by the Edwards family. So it was here in the house for a really long time.
- 19:23And when they sold the house, it went to different family members and different family members just
- 19:28had it in their house. And they kept a little plaque that was on it that said that it was built from a
- 19:35piece of wood from this farm by Daniel Delaney and it has to date and everything. But the first time I
- 19:40put it up there, we had guests walk up there and it was just rocking. And the lady's like, well,
- 19:46I think maybe my husband's here or whatever. And so she was laughing about it. So I want to go upstairs
- 19:54and witness it rocking. I don't know whether Daniel upstairs. We have a half that tends to fall off
- 20:01the hook that's up there. That happens a lot only once that anybody ever see it happen.
- 20:07Well, it's just up there and it's on the floor. And then I hang it back up and then it's on the floor.
- 20:12Is that like an antique hat or is it? It's not an antique hat and maybe that's why it just doesn't fit.
- 20:18I can really don't want it. But there was a vintage band group up there one time that completely freaked out
- 20:28because they were like, oh, they heard this hat sometimes and it hit the ground and they went,
- 20:32oh, no, they ran out of the stairs. Oh, my gosh. They never did that. But I tease them all the time when I say
- 20:38them. I know what you did. So only one time has it been seen. But there's the SLS cameras,
- 20:46catch people dancing upstairs in the bathtub. In the bathtub? I thought that was so interesting.
- 20:52Was that always bathroom? I assume it was. They're not like moving around bathrooms in old houses
- 21:00probably. No, I think it probably was. But again, when they built this in 1845 or yeah, 1845,
- 21:08there was no inter plumbing. Oh, so I don't know. That makes sense. Maybe that was something else.
- 21:15Yeah. A dancing room. I'm very big. I don't know. But anyway, that happens. And if you play music and set
- 21:23one of the SLS cameras up, if you play any kind of music, they will tend to, figures will appear.
- 21:29Any kind of music. So like, you know, like boots with the fur.
- 21:33Well, I like the window to the wall. We can put my phonograph in there. One of those
- 21:41play a little song. We're hoping that new acquisition of mine with the record player will. Yeah.
- 21:47We'll make them happen. You put it on earlier and it sounds beautiful. Did you hear the old? I think so.
- 21:53Yeah. Phonograph is on the rich. Yeah, they're called phonographs. A lot of people have seen
- 21:59a black woman and a little boy with a stuffed bunny, which is we're oddly specific. But
- 22:04different people that didn't know anybody else had seen that because it's not like written down anywhere.
- 22:11Right. From that back bedroom and into here. And then just from that back bedroom and into here.
- 22:17So residual energy. That's what I've been told that is. And it's pretty much the same for everybody.
- 22:24It's just the same thing, like a really busy black woman with a little boy behind her holding
- 22:31the stuffed bunny, like trying to get her attention. So she's busy. He's trying to get her to
- 22:36and it's just back and forth, which makes me think that that was their bedroom. Yeah.
- 22:39Rachel and her children. That was her bedroom back there. Yeah, because you said that back bedroom
- 22:44a lot of childlike things happen in there and you kind of filled it with toys and stuff.
- 22:50Well, and we have we have children in here. We have spirits that are children. I've seen on the
- 22:57S. All those camera people reach out and like they patty cake and do things. But it's all really
- 23:03it feels you know, it feels good. You know, nobody's ever been scared by it. Yeah. And you said that
- 23:08no children have died here. And you don't think that they're actually just like spirits of children
- 23:14who've died here, but maybe spirits of children who have come back here to play. It was like good
- 23:20memories for them. Possibly. Yeah. There's no way to really know that part. That's what we're all
- 23:25trying to figure out. I know exactly. But we know that there are children here, which is kind of nice
- 23:30to know. Yeah. So if you feel some heat tug on your leg or some, they just want to get your attention
- 23:35so you can play with them. Yeah. And I think so we brought some candy too for like the children. So
- 23:40we have a couple offerings. Oh, the doors lock from the inside. Yeah. I have a little room in there
- 23:46that the door lock from the inside and my husband had to break the lock to get us in there. We had no
- 23:50way of being able to get in there. It wasn't a key lock. It was the lock that you turn from the inside.
- 23:57Oh, yeah. The door was locked. Like how would it do that? That's so bizarre. We call exactly
- 24:02that question. That's it. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. There's no way to do that. Those stories always dump
- 24:09me because we've come across it a few times where it's like the door was locked from the inside. And
- 24:13like remember that one where the safe was like moved? We're like, how did the safe move from the inside
- 24:19room? It's very, it's weird. Stuff like that is so strange to me. I mean a lot of the stuff that
- 24:25here is the same kind of stuff that happens everywhere. You get a bumper, a scratchy noise or
- 24:32you know, we did have one group come here and someone demanded that we get an orange cat
- 24:39that they want an orange cat very badly. And that's on video with their ovulus.
- 24:46They're very, and they're like long hair, orange. Wow. I would be happy. Oh, please.
- 24:53You know, these, and it's so we think it was a child. They got the name Edwards out of it. So it
- 24:58seems like it's maybe a child from the Edwards family or maybe it's an adult.
- 25:02Well, did you get them a cat? I have not gotten them a cat. But I did promise.
- 25:06If they're working on my doorstep. The cat distribution system. We're waiting on it. That's right.
- 25:12Yeah. So it's like those are going to start dragging some cats. We get a cat go by a cat. We have to
- 25:19wait for it to show up. That's how cat things work. Right. There's a couple pieces of the house that
- 25:25are original. Like the wall, the wood piece in the bedroom with the writing all over it.
- 25:31And then the carving in the window. Can you tell us about those couple of things?
- 25:35I don't know much about the one in the bedroom except that I know it's from probably children because
- 25:43adding and subtracting and signatures. Yeah. And you've kind of preserved. Did you put the
- 25:50plexiglass over it? I did not. Oh, people who restored the house. They preserved that and kind of
- 25:54like paint it around it. Yeah. And there's another one in the other room you can look at too. And it's
- 25:59got just names like names of people and their dates and stuff. Not like measuring heights or anything
- 26:05like that. Yeah. It seemed kind of random. Not really sure. It does. Yeah. And then David Delaney,
- 26:13apparently when they first moved here, he scratched his name into the window, which I'm quite sure
- 26:18he got in trouble for because windows would have been very, very precious. I can't believe it's still
- 26:25it's still here. I got a really good picture of it. I'm very proud of the people who did the
- 26:29restoration to make sure they saved as many original things as they could. They did a good job
- 26:34because this house was very 70s looking. It had drywall and wallpaper and wood siding on top of
- 26:42everything. They dropped down to the original. Okay. So the house and put it back together. So they
- 26:48moved a few things around. But for the most part, it does look a lot more like the original house
- 26:53than it would have with all of that. We're in 67. Right. It was a show. I was just going to say
- 27:02a shag. And what are they? Beautiful. And the wall. The pattern on the walls, the accent. I know
- 27:10what's called. It's the beams. The wall. Yeah. The original wall. They replaced what they had to,
- 27:17but they left as much original stuff as they could. And what they didn't use is all in our garage.
- 27:22So we still have. Oh, wow. That's nice. Pieces of history. Is this fireplace original?
- 27:29The fireplace is the mantle is not. Oh, for the brick parties. Even a rich person that owned a farmhouse
- 27:38would never have have anything. I just was looking at that. I was like, oh, that's like marble, but the
- 27:43but the brick part is the brick part is I'm thinking this was probably the kitchen. And they
- 27:48put on that. Oh, remember what year it was. Yeah. 18 some years ago. Okay. So that was probably that's
- 27:57why the hook is theirs. Right. I was going to say the pots aren't real. I mean, those they're not
- 28:02old, but yeah, but you could be idea. Yeah. And then this is part of the original house. He said
- 28:08there were what are the additions? The addition would be that kitchen and the it was called the utility
- 28:14room that's in the back. And then they attached it to the carriage house, which is original and was
- 28:19separate. Oh, okay. All the horses in on the carriage. Right. They would keep the horses in there.
- 28:26After Daniel Delaney was almost killed then his son built that second half. So in 1865, that was built.
- 28:35Well, is there anything else you want to add? Any pieces of history that you think are cool or
- 28:40details about the house that are your personal favorite? The living room. That's where I go in the
- 28:45morning and I have coffee and it feels nice. Yeah. It's a very welcoming, comforting kind of a place.
- 28:51So yeah, that are out on the porch. Something about a wrap around. There is. Yes.
- 28:57Yes. From porch. It's yeah, it's hard to beat that classic dreams. We love it.
- 29:02Well, thank you so much for giving us all this info, letting us come and hang out in the Delaney house
- 29:09and talk about ghosts and because some people don't like it when the when the ghosts are a part of their,
- 29:15you know, home or hotel or history of an area, but you definitely embrace it.
- 29:21Yeah. I guess a lot of people believe everything they see in horror movies and they think that
- 29:26anything that they don't understand or can't see is going to be scary or dangerous and I don't
- 29:31think that that's the case at all. See, it's not scary. Not in my, not in my experience.
- 29:39So you can still come and stay here even if you don't want to meet ghosts or anything. It still has
- 29:45good vibes. Yeah. Very nice. And oh, just one more thing. I love you decorated the crap out of this
- 29:53place. It is so cool. You have little details of antiques and like little creepy things all over
- 29:59the place and it's so cool. I think it's worth it just to stay here to just come and look at all of
- 30:03the little details that you put out. A lot of people say they wish they had another day just to look
- 30:09at them. Yes. Yeah, there's so much. I don't know how we're ever going to get footage of it all,
- 30:12but we're going to try. So we're still at the Delaney House with Zoe who is a paranormal investigator.
- 30:21Yeah. It's weird having that be my job title now. I'm so used to just scare actor and add on
- 30:29paranormal investigator right underneath that. I love that. That's been my dream forever and now I'm
- 30:34going around telling people like I'm going to be a ghost hunter because now I know a ghost hunter
- 30:38friends. So that's basically going to be my full-time job. Absolutely. Okay, this is the question I always
- 30:44ask. So I feel like ghost hunter has a little bit of a negative connotation. Do you prefer
- 30:50paranormal investigator? Do you still say ghost hunter? You know, I'm using both interchangeably.
- 30:55I understand, you know, it's like hunting ghosts. You know, when people think of that, they think
- 30:59of ghost musters. And it's like. Or Zach Begins. Or is it? Oh my god. Ghost provoker demon provoker?
- 31:07Or do you mean provoker? All love and respect. But it is like you do you, bro, but it's the most fake
- 31:14thing that I've ever seen. I know. I have like a love hate. Well, I like love hate watch it. It's
- 31:20kind of funny entertainment for me, but I still do, you know, watch it because they made a show
- 31:25at the end of time where like not a bunch of people, you know, paranormal shows. Yeah, it kind of
- 31:30made people aware that this was a thing that people did. Yeah. Instead of just like filming themselves
- 31:36in abandoned buildings for fun. Yeah. Yeah. So all of the respect there, but
- 31:41or the reactions are very exaggerated. Yeah. And that's not the that's not the kind of stuff you're
- 31:48doing on a regular basis. Absolutely not. Yeah. But yeah, when I take people on tours, I warn them
- 31:54sometimes like ghost hunting is not like you see on TV. It is mostly boring. So it's a little moment
- 32:01to fun. Yeah, they can't show all the sitting around. Yeah, unanswered questions on TV. All of the
- 32:08just sitting around and quiet talking to yourself is edited out and it's edited out for a reason.
- 32:12So where do you take people on tours at? So I pretty exclusively work at the grand theater
- 32:21in downtown Salem, Oregon. It is a 125 year old building that was originally built by the odd
- 32:29fellows. It was an odd fellow lounge. Okay. Yeah. So if anyone out there knows odd fellows, you kind
- 32:38of understand when I'm putting down there. I don't. Oh, I don't know. But I feel like we might like
- 32:45talk more about this place, about the history about it in its own episode. So we might have to like
- 32:51yeah, you don't have to explain it all to me now. But give me like a one word vibe for the odd fellows.
- 32:56Secret cult. Oh, that's two words. So you have to pick not to. Okay. I immediately
- 33:02break the rules. No, I get it though. That does make sense. Yeah, it's secretive. Okay. Okay.
- 33:08So you give you offer tours there? These ghost tours. Yeah. So I work with the Salem Hunt Club
- 33:18and we do events, a lot of events at the grand theater. But occasionally we do ghost investigation
- 33:27tours in the basement, which is usually completely awful. I'm just to the public. It's ex a first
- 33:33staff that worked there. It's mostly a storage area, but it is also connected to the tunnels that are
- 33:43in downtown Salem. Yeah. So if anyone's familiar with like the Fishing High tunnels in Portland,
- 33:49they might have heard of those. We have talked about this before. Oh, well, yeah. There you go. We
- 33:54also have them here in Salem too. Oh, they were they were used by a Chinese immigrant that helped
- 34:01to build this town at the railroad. Basically, was there safe haven? Oh, okay. Unfortunately,
- 34:09Salem has a very racist history. Well, yeah. So does Portland. Yeah. As most of Oregon. Yeah.
- 34:16That people don't like to talk about. Almost as the United States. What's the United States? Where do we really?
- 34:20Yeah. Yeah. You know, the tracks for where we live. Yeah. But Oregon does, they don't like to talk about,
- 34:32but especially when it comes to the Asian immigrants, I feel like it's not spoken about a whole lot,
- 34:37unfortunately. So those tunnels were basically their safe haven. It was how they would be able to go
- 34:42from building to building safely and not get shot. Wow. Yeah. So I go to the grand. There is also
- 34:50going to be a haunted house there this Halloween season. There is. And not just like a haunted house,
- 34:55like we're sitting in right now, like a scare. What do you call it? A scare? A hunt. Yeah, a hunt.
- 35:01A hunt. I use a hunt, but a scare. A scare. I love that. I'm going to start telling that now.
- 35:10Actually, it's a scare. But you call yourself a scare actor. So it kind of makes that in my head.
- 35:15Yeah. We, yeah. People that work at a haunt are scare actors. You know, we spend our time. That's
- 35:23what we do. We scare people. But yeah. So you're sick in the head as well. You know, it's a really,
- 35:31really great way to get out like any pent up emotion. It is. I agree. It is.
- 35:38You could just scream as loud as you want and no one even cares. I'm kind of exposing any other
- 35:45scare actors right now by saying that we absolutely use it to get some pent up emotion. I feel like every,
- 35:53I feel like you can tell. Yeah. Probably. It's like, you can't scream that loudly and not have
- 36:01something else like going on. Yeah. Yeah. Exactly. This is our second year ever putting this on. We are
- 36:10so excited to be back. We're back and better than ever. We are continuing our storyline from last
- 36:17year. So if anyone was with us last year, it is different. We're not just your normal like Halloween
- 36:25haunts. Just like jump scare type thing. Yeah. We are not just full jump scares. We are a half haunt,
- 36:33half theater experience. So like you hear like people have been doing like interactive theater more
- 36:39and more now. We're kind of like that in a way. Not completely fully interactive obviously. But
- 36:46you basically get to be part of a show. That's amazing. With like 15 other people. I love that. I love
- 36:54that it's not just even like watching movies. I saw the new Conjuring movie and if you don't want to
- 36:59hear anything about it, you can just skip ahead a little bit. I really won't spoil it. But if you don't
- 37:05want to know anything just, but it was like full of jump scares. And I think you guys, I've seen you do
- 37:11better than this. Like I know you can do it. And there was genuinely creepy things in it. But it was
- 37:16like jump scare. After jump scare, I was like, okay, like why are we going back to this? I'm not a fan.
- 37:22Like I need real skit. I like want psychological horror in my head while I'm going through a haunted house.
- 37:27I miss psychological horror. I'm so excited to experience this. I don't want to give too much
- 37:34away. Do you are you allowed to say the theme of the one? Yeah. So this year we are doing ghost
- 37:43hunting tours. We're basically continuing on the fact that we have been bringing people into
- 37:50the basement and ghost hunting. Our haunted is here is full on ghost hunting. Just ghost hunting
- 37:56tour. That is so cool. Yeah. So because last year we learned that there is this group called ghost.
- 38:06And we would be we would bring people in and try and unleash the spirit of the theater and feed
- 38:16people's souls to it and not not a real cult. But we were a cult. It kind of sounds like it.
- 38:25And so after last year's so much media attention has happened, they have been driven underground and
- 38:30are hiding away. So part of what we're looking for is hey are they still there? Maybe maybe not?
- 38:38Well, you got to join us to figure out. You got to go find you got to go to something to find out.
- 38:42Yep. Got to join us and go something to figure out if they're still down there. I cannot wait.
- 38:47We open on October 17th and we will be running for seven specific days at our last day will be
- 38:55November 1st. So so we we are going a little bit past Halloween. And then you can find tickets on
- 39:02ghost to the grand.com. Yep. I'm a haunting experience. That was so cheesy just kidding. If you join you
- 39:10just might as well see me there because I will be one of your many wonderful guides that will be
- 39:16bringing people through. So are the guides? Do the guides scare people or you probably can't say?
- 39:22Who knows? Anything enough? Where does it make sure that people are safe?
- 39:29Yes. Could you tell the one thing about the thing grabbing your wrist?
- 39:33Yeah, while while we're interviewing I was I was over in a separate room that is known to have
- 39:45children spirits in it. And I mind I have a necklace that it's not a true pendulum but I use it as a
- 39:54pendulum. It's perfect shape. It's like point shape for it. It's yet a little bird school.
- 39:59If you yeah if you can't see it it's like a bird school. Yeah. And so I was having just a little
- 40:06chat with a child spirit in there. And you guys were doing some like other filming around the house
- 40:14because this house is incredible. It's so cool. It's so cool. There's so many cool things in here.
- 40:19And I was about to go upstairs and hold which is before I started to my wrist was grabbed.
- 40:26And I was like oh okay. Hi. Because it was like I feel like wrist like that's where you if you were a
- 40:34kid you would just like grab like come back and play with me. Especially hearing you know like the
- 40:40children like to like try and give people's attention by grabbing them. Yeah it's really cool.
- 40:46Being able to be like oh someone someone reached out. Yeah. Yeah reached out to touch you like
- 40:52it wanted to hang out with you more. I think it's sweet. I love interacting with child spirits.
- 40:57They're always they're always so sweet. I feel like they can win me too. Yeah. Yeah. I need to remember
- 41:03to bring crayons to the brand because there's a child down there but that very specifically
- 41:09wants crayons. Okay. Bring them what they ask for. I do like to do that too. One of my favorite things
- 41:15about their own investigating and you know bringing people down into the basement is getting to share
- 41:22the stories that I know of but then also giving them an outlet to speak for themselves as well.
- 41:30Yeah. Yeah. Oh see they like that. They like to be out there. They like that. It brings me so much joy
- 41:38doing that because people think that when you're gone you know you're gone for good.
- 41:45Did you get touched again? Was it the fly? No it was like the whole press on my arm. Interesting. Yeah. I mean
- 41:56that couldn't have been your hair because your hair is like really light. It almost felt like it for a moment
- 42:01and I was like wait no it's saying hi it's it confirmed me. Yeah. Yeah. And that made me lose my
- 42:08turn. I forgot. I know I forgot what you were saying. Oh it's a way for them to communicate. Yeah.
- 42:15Oh yeah. What people think that when you were gone you were gone for good and we keep finding
- 42:20you know proof if you believe that or not is up to you but we keep finding proof that that's not
- 42:26necessarily the case and even if it's just being able to tell someone's story even just a little bit
- 42:34yeah after they're gone you know it's really meaningful to me. I feel like that should be more
- 42:39comforting to people than scary. Yeah. Yeah people people get so scared about the idea of
- 42:46paranormal investigating and it's really not. They're just us so you just can't see them. Yeah.
- 42:54One more thing too. Okay so we were talking about the hat and yeah and Vicki was telling us that
- 42:58sometimes the hat comes off the hook and it was just a hat hanging on a hook and you liberally
- 43:03would have to take it off the hook. Yeah. And what happened when you went upstairs? It was on the floor.
- 43:08I it was literally just it was just there it was like wedged kind of because there's like a little
- 43:15like door there yeah and it was like it almost looked like it had been like purposefully put like
- 43:24to like someone was trying to like get it under the door. Oh my gosh like hide it in the closet.
- 43:28Yeah. Get rid of this thing man. Like it actually could have just fallen that way but it almost looked
- 43:35to me like someone was trying to shove it under there to hide it. It was but we have like pictures
- 43:40of the hook and stuff and it's like oh like yeah you have to take it off it. Yeah it's it's
- 43:47perfect. So that's crazy and no one had been up there like Vicki cleaned up there after a
- 43:52guest and she said she hung the hat up or it was up and then yeah no one had been up there and
- 43:57yeah it was my first time going up there and we had just been talking about that. She was just
- 44:02telling us about the hat and then you came down really you never believe that. I never believe
- 44:06that's on the floor. We're doing tarot for the Delaney House.
- 44:19You may notice that we are back in the office for the tarot reading.
- 44:28We were having too much fun at the Delaney House and we ran out of time. I don't know that I would
- 44:35say we. That was arguably one of the worst days of my life. I know. Too date. I know. I was trying not
- 44:45to say anything. I didn't know how much you wanted to say but I feel like we talked about it afterwards
- 44:50and you were like I really don't know. Like do you think that it was the house? I'm just like I don't
- 44:58know either. I don't know. Because you had a really bad migraine. I did. Yeah and for the first time ever
- 45:07I experienced having a migraine and what I assume if it wasn't the house was a migraine and vertigo
- 45:17combined episode. So I was on a boat for like 36-ish hours which is very strange. I actually normally
- 45:27like being on a boat. I don't typically get seasick but when you're not on a boat and you feel like you
- 45:34are. It feels like you're on a boat. Turns out that will make you sick. Yeah. Yeah. So anyway.
- 45:41Just some of the fun that we can have. No Caitlin. God she was a freaking trooper. I felt so bad.
- 45:47We did our interviews and we did as much as we could but we're like we got to get her out of here
- 45:52because she was not. I was falling to pieces. I feel bad I even made you stay as long as.
- 45:59Well I mean gosh we're there. We needed to do our thing. What can you do? But so we decided not to
- 46:05do the chair over there but we I'm sure we'll be back there another time because we're besties
- 46:10now with Vicki. Yeah. So you know we'll be back. This isn't the last of the Delaney House. I'm looking
- 46:17at the camera but our cameras are not either because we didn't feel like getting ready today. It's
- 46:23a Sunday. Yeah. But we have the tarot altar so you guys can see our little thingies and the cards.
- 46:28Okay. I'm going to hand the oh I was like for some reason I felt like you were going to do the
- 46:37drawing. I don't know if I would trust my intuition in this reading. Because you weren't even I
- 46:44mean you were there for one of the interviews but I don't particularly know how there you were.
- 46:50Yeah. You can maybe see it on her eye. I wasn't really there for most of the day. Like I said I was
- 46:55on a boat so mother fucker. Okay let's do the card pull. Yeah. Yeah. That's what I was kind of.
- 47:09It is per day the page of swords. So I don't know the screen was a little dark but I think looking at
- 47:17it now you can you can see kind of where I pulled out the card. I was talking about it as I was up
- 47:22there not in front of a mic so. Yeah. But we pulled the page of swords. Yes. It was the page right?
- 47:27Yeah. It's so cool because it has it's this bird and I guess what we're going to find out what
- 47:32the bird is because we're going to read the interpretation book. So it's like a brown body like brown
- 47:37and tan body with a yellow head. And like I don't know what this bird is. I don't either. I don't
- 47:45I mean I don't think I've seen one before. It's very beautiful. It instantly for whatever reason
- 47:50reminded me of when we were seeing the drawing of their heads. Like the portrait drawings. Yeah.
- 47:58Daniel Daniel Delaney. He wanted a picture of himself in the house but they couldn't find one so
- 48:05they had drawings done of their head. Right. Him and Rachel. Rachel's head. So I don't know why that
- 48:11because like the head is highlighted here. So maybe think of that. That is really interesting. I
- 48:16would not have made that connection. Wow. I make really odd connections. That is what I'm here.
- 48:22And I'm really glad we had Chris with us because I was so out of it and your head. Yeah. Oh God
- 48:29that's such a good point. I was just thinking about it. Oh gosh. Thank God he was there because he
- 48:36was able to go and do like walking around like video footage of like the house inside and outside.
- 48:44And then I think he got pictures of the portrait. Because I think I definitely did. Okay. Yeah.
- 48:49I remember being like you guys I know enough to know that I'm out of it and I'm like I'll probably
- 48:54take some shaky blurry photo because I'm on a boat but I was like get a picture. We got it. We got it.
- 49:00We got you. I felt so bad because I just felt like so useless. I was like I'm physically here.
- 49:06Okay. But we all I mean God. I know our day is definitely feeling for you because like it said
- 49:12very recently I was also in tears from a migraine. Oh I like I feel so harsh. I was like crying when
- 49:20I love going my my friends had her. I can't do anything. I know and you know the worst part when we were
- 49:28unpacking the car and stuff and I was trying to bring down like the bins and stuff. We told her not
- 49:34carry anything in this. I know. Well every step I was taking I was feeling like I was like you know
- 49:41when you wake up in a dream and like you feel like you're falling in the dream. That's how like every
- 49:46step felt going down the stairs. We should talk about those head crystals sometimes.
- 49:52Honestly. Sometimes like yeah. Because that's crazy. Yeah. Interesting but maybe another episode.
- 49:57I know I don't know how you confirm for sure that like that's it. I haven't had it you know
- 50:02professionally clinically evaluated but what the fuck head what are head crystals? I don't
- 50:07know. Yeah. It's actually it's inner ear. inner ear crystals. It's head crystals. Really something.
- 50:14You guys I'm obsessed with rocks. We have crystals in our ears. Yeah. Right. Miner lose. Oh my God.
- 50:21You know like people say box of rocks like about like people that are you know. It's true.
- 50:25Dumdams are. Well that's how I feel. Anyway that is very interesting that like that's crazy.
- 50:32What's also and there's like a there's a sword on the card and it's like pointed at the bird's head
- 50:38kind of like towards the bird's head. Oh my gosh. All right. So page of swords our keywords are study
- 50:45vigilance apprehension. I almost said oppression and they don't know why. That's first with an oh.
- 50:52Yeah it sure does. Inexperience, curiosity and a message. Oh okay. I already was kind
- 51:02of super super quickly skimming the interpretation sections of this and I was like all right. Knowing
- 51:10what I do know about some of like the backstory that I'm going to tell you about the house and the
- 51:17murder. I don't know if I said this already. I'm pretty sure I did but the same the end of the Delaney
- 51:22house. Yeah. It's definitely not. You will be back. Okay. Pages represent study and apprenticeship
- 51:29and this card says learn to express yourself so you can communicate with sword like precision.
- 51:35It might mean you're exploring new ideas or embarking on a spiritual quest.
- 51:41If the page of swords symbolizes an actual person it's probably a clever and curious youth
- 51:49who hasn't yet mastered the power of his or her intellect. Oh we did talk about like a child ghost.
- 51:56Yeah. Yep. Definitely multiple children that are kind of associated with the house.
- 52:04Okay. There's another that's associated that I don't know that they talked about this person
- 52:09specifically related to like hauntings like ghosts of the house but it wouldn't surprise me.
- 52:16Just knowing what I know about the murder. Oh my god. I can't. I mean I don't want to know about
- 52:23a murder but yeah well I want to know what happened. You need to know. I don't know.
- 52:27The Aquarian Tarot for example shows a boy with his sword at his side. He hasn't yet gained
- 52:35the confidence to wield it. Okay. So yeah I just can't not wait. I hope that I will kind of remember
- 52:43this moment when we talk about my. Okay. My part. When the page appears upright it may show you're
- 52:52thinking of branching out, testing yourself, embracing a challenge, perhaps you're entering college
- 52:58beginning a career or starting off on a spiritual quest. Some of this kind of reminded me of us
- 53:04just kind of going in and it was kind of our first time bringing all of the cameras and equipment
- 53:10with us. Yeah. We've got we've brought like you know the mics and things around but we brought
- 53:16us a full pack of the pot lab trip. Yeah cameras lights and we did like a really good job setting up
- 53:24and all like working together and making it happen. I know. I have felt like oh my gosh we almost
- 53:30need like another person because there's just so much stuff that we brought with us. What did it say?
- 53:36Like it you're like you're going to college or something. Yeah. Yeah. That's kind of what it felt
- 53:40like. We're like a kind of upgrading our and oh that's what it reminded me of. We were talking about
- 53:45like I was kind of thankful for all of the crap we had to go through setting up the studio.
- 53:50Oh yeah. Like all the camera issues and lighting issues and everything because then we just know like
- 53:55what can go wrong and how to fix it now. Yeah it's so true. No you were you were talking about that
- 54:00and you were like this kind of feels old hat after after every oh my gosh old hat. In the hat that
- 54:06kept falling down. Yes. Yeah. I know. Another head. It's all about the head.
- 54:13Naturally you're anxious because you don't feel prepared. You may not have used your
- 54:18sword on the battlefield but you've trained and developed the skills you need to succeed.
- 54:24And I was saying too I didn't I didn't write an episode for this like yeah I went in I didn't really
- 54:30which is not usually what I do for an interview usually prepare questions and like research people.
- 54:34But for some reason I was just feeling like I didn't want to research too much and I just
- 54:39wanted to go in and like naturally ask my questions and that's what happened and I think it turned out
- 54:44like I just have faith that we could just go in and record an episode with people and it'll work out.
- 54:50Well and I think part of it too is like when we know that we're going to be kind of covering
- 54:56like a place from sort of two angles from you know the paranormal and the true crime it's like
- 55:04you kind of want to go in a little bit more clean slate because what like from your genre it's more
- 55:12like we want to pick up like the vibe and we want you know what I mean whereas like mine like in
- 55:18some respects it's like I can't really pick up a murder vibe. I mean I can actually but
- 55:24you may have yeah the last line says trust yourself. We do.
- 55:33Ruth there guys. In a reading about money the page can represent a message about a money matter.
- 55:41This card recommends examining details and information yourself rather than simply relying on
- 55:48others for advice. However it also warns against overconfidence ignorance can lead to losses.
- 55:56Oh okay is this something that you know about the case too that I'm not aware of?
- 56:01I mean there is a there is a monetary. You're right. I do remember that little piece.
- 56:09Okay. You guys. It's interesting the color of the bird's head as well. Yeah.
- 56:17I don't know you might say it could be gold. Yeah. It does it does kind of it's like that it's
- 56:23like a very bright yellow. I don't know. Gold could be treasure. I don't know maybe that. I don't
- 56:28know you guys could be nothing could be everything. If the reading is about your job this card shows you
- 56:33beginning a career that tests your intelligence and education. You may be starting a project that
- 56:39requires good communication skills or you may be refining your mental abilities and clarifying ideas.
- 56:46In a reading about love this card can indicate an immature or detached attitude towards relationships.
- 56:54Oh. I was just thinking of what didn't Daniel like cheat on his life with the housekeeper or something
- 57:03or not the slave. I'm sorry. I need to call it what it is. Yeah. Well don't don't give too much away.
- 57:09Well we kind of we did talk about it. Yeah. That's how it. Yeah. It'll exactly. Yeah. It's going to come up
- 57:16and I'm going to tie together some pieces that like everybody's already kind of talked about but
- 57:23interesting. Yeah. I haven't dug into like that specific aspect of it. How much could you even find
- 57:31on that? Like that kind of thing isn't it? He's wanting to keep a written record of that. You know? Yeah.
- 57:37It's true. You just kind of see what happened and come up with your own. Yeah. But we could be totally wrong.
- 57:42Yeah. But that was kind of my my thinking was I don't I don't know maybe in terms of just like do
- 57:49how much can we really I mean we can speculate wildly obviously. But like how much can we confirm
- 57:56about that? Like I wonder is there any truth to that and like is there any way for us to kind of like
- 58:02I don't know. Put any stock in that. I don't know. I can't wait to talk about it more and find out
- 58:08more of the details. Maybe there's something that will point us in the right direction. Yeah. It'll
- 58:13be interesting to see. Yeah. Perhaps you're harboring an unrealistic ideal about love. The page may
- 58:21also suggest you're not ready to commit to a relationship. You have other things to do first.
- 58:27Which sort of I feel like does it does sort of seem like that backs up like kind of your idea there.
- 58:34Oh, I was like oh it sounds like me. Yeah. I am busy. Oh yeah. What was the work? The one about the
- 58:45job because that kind of reminded me about Vicki being the homeowner and she rinsed out as an
- 58:50Airbnb and does like the tea say on nights and stuff. Yeah. She just so many like they host so many
- 58:56different interesting events there. It sounds like they've done the lawns and all kinds of different
- 59:01things. I want to go so bad to one. I know. If the reading is about your job, this card shows you
- 59:06beginning a career that tests your intelligence and education. You may be starting a project that
- 59:11requires good communication skills or you may be refining your mental abilities and clarifying
- 59:18ideas. Okay. Well, that just yeah. Yeah. It just sounds like women at work. I know. Just fast girl and
- 59:26it. Yeah. We were kind of talking about that while the while the husbands were running around in the
- 59:33background. They got to talking there at the end. I did notice that was very cute. Yeah. They had a
- 59:41little bit of a meat cue in the kitchen while we were working. The women were working in the men
- 59:48were in the kitchen. Yeah. How it should be. Okay. Well, should I see what kind of bird this is?
- 59:55I'm very excited to figure it out. I mean, my god, it better say. Otherwise, I'm going to do like a
- 1:00:00Google image search. It always does. Okay. Okay. Page of the woods. It's a horny lark. It's a horned
- 1:00:10lark. No, it's not. It's a horned lark. Horned lark. Okay. It's like it is not a horny lark. It's a
- 1:00:15horned lark. Horned lark that has no time for relationships. Curiosity intelligence inspiration.
- 1:00:25That felt like our whole vibe that night. Curiosity is like, I feel like the word of my life.
- 1:00:31Yeah. I think it's a curious person. It's so interesting because I feel like we go about it in
- 1:00:36like really different ways a lot of times. So I feel like that's such a key component of the show
- 1:00:43for us and kind of how we really reconnected. You know what I mean? I feel like that's such a key
- 1:00:49thing. Curiosity. Yeah. I feel like that's both like both of us really. Yeah. The rabbit holes
- 1:00:55we go now. I mean, oh my god. We literally just can't leave well enough alone. That's fine. I'm okay
- 1:01:02with that. I've made my piece with it. A quick wit. A fast study. Ooh, that sounds like all of us too.
- 1:01:08Eagerness. New ideas and perspective communication. I love it. The fledgling road. The high desert wind
- 1:01:15testing their new abilities and pinions. Pinions. EINI, ONS. Is that like a bird move maneuver?
- 1:01:24That's what I'm wondering. Okay, let me look. You guys can't see me, but I just made a sick bird
- 1:01:29maneuver with my sick bird wing hands. Okay. Oh, okay. Okay. Okay. Hold on. Okay. So this is actually
- 1:01:38I'm glad we look this up. I said it wrong. I have no idea. I can look at the Google
- 1:01:44pronunciation. It's like opinions without the O. Yeah. No, I mean the pronunciation guy that Google
- 1:01:49is giving me. I actually think opinion is right. Okay. It says the outer part of a bird's wing
- 1:01:57including the flight feathers. So it's literally part of the bird. So it's like when they first
- 1:02:03grow those feathers and they're learning to fly because it said the fledgling road. The high desert
- 1:02:09wind testing their new abilities and their new opinions. That is so cool. Perfect. Interesting. You
- 1:02:16can also use this as a verb and okay. I'm seeing an example here that's highlighted that has
- 1:02:27peaked my interest if you will. Or would you say your curiosity? Yes. Were we just talking about
- 1:02:34rabbit holes? So in the third person present opinions or opinion, it says tie or hold the arms
- 1:02:43or legs of someone. And the example sentence is the opinion, the limbs of his opponent.
- 1:02:51Oh, is that the maybe a part of thing that went down? Could prove to have some relevance. I guess
- 1:03:01we'll just have to see. That is so weird that we were just talking about how curious we were and
- 1:03:05that we just looked up a random word that we probably didn't think had anything to do with it.
- 1:03:10Yeah. Well, and how strange that a word that's really like when you're talking about like a
- 1:03:17the noun form, it's a part of a bird. And then it has this other application that's like sort of a
- 1:03:24dark verb. Interesting. Yeah. They measured their currents by their pressure against outstretched
- 1:03:31wings and experimented with the effect of feather positioning on airflow. Mastery would come quickly
- 1:03:38they expected. They could go anywhere. Oh, that is that just right there reminding me of a ghost.
- 1:03:46Like testing out its new ability to like go anywhere it wants in time and space. You know?
- 1:03:55You know, I actually and that makes sense and not to to give too much away, but thinking about this
- 1:04:03period of history that I know my part comes from in Oregon. Basically these are like the wild west days.
- 1:04:14We can go anywhere. So it's like that very much like it's that like settler vibe. Yeah. You know what I mean?
- 1:04:22It is. Oh, I really like this. This card. Well, even though we didn't get to do it at the house,
- 1:04:28like we we really wanted to like I do the house like get the vibes in the cards, but yeah,
- 1:04:33we took these cards with it. It takes the cards. Yeah. So it did I feel like absorb some of the vibes.
- 1:04:39So when I was I was cleansing the cards, but I told it to like keep the energy of what it had had
- 1:04:44at the house. Yeah. Because I didn't know what it had picked up in the meantime, but like I don't want
- 1:04:48to lose that. So when I was cleansing it, I was like, oh, the cards have not been used
- 1:04:52at the house. So I think yeah, I think it worked out. Well, should we do a good buy thing? Yeah, I guess
- 1:05:00though. Have a creepy day. All right. Well, do you want to give us a, have a creepy
- 1:05:10ass day into the microphone that I answered? Wait, how old are you? Can you say a, are you loud?
- 1:05:18You're interviewing me not knowing how old I am. Wait, how old are you?
- 1:05:23I believe it not. I'm 24. Okay, I was going to say because I made that joke about protection and
- 1:05:27I'm always like, rap it before you tap it and I was like, wait, wow, oh, this is so young.
- 1:05:34You're full. Okay, perfect. So you can say ask. I can say ask. Would you like to say I have a creepy
- 1:05:43the ass down to the microphone. Yeah.
