  Anyways, without further ado, let's get to a recap Y'all.

  Last time our heroes continued their struggle against the end
• 2:24
  of the world, Cassie called starry lightning down upon the
• 2:28
  alien Solari while they celebrated their capture of a
• 2:30
  living wish. Cassie and Saphandra became a
• 2:33
  crackling ribbon of light, fluctuating in size and color,
• 2:36
  and shot forward to strike down upon the star colors.
• 2:39
  Though Cassie struck fear into the star color cultists,
• 2:42
  Saphandra took a terrible slash to the underbelly.
• 2:44
  But Cassie wasn't done yet, Starlight stepping to save the
• 2:47
  little wish lane that have been freed by the blast before
• 2:49
  returning to dragon back. Parable released the elemental
• 2:52
  and primal spirits that dwell within him to shroud himself and
• 2:56
  invoked his breath into a blade of primordial energy, bringing
• 2:59
  his silvery might down upon Alita Dario, sycophant of the
• 3:02
  light and lead cultists of the Aylin Solari who blocked
• 3:06
  parables onslaught of primordial power with the bodies of her
• 3:08
  acolytes. Alita eyes filled with void held
• 3:12
  both Parable and Glimmer in place with a gravity collapse
• 3:15
  and distortion of the light. With that Glimmers morale took a
• 3:18
  major hit. Zen set her eyes upon Pulsar
• 3:21
  Zen, the Star Watch Sage, who called Cassie her friend 1/2 wit
• 3:25
  half elf and forced him to swallow those words with twin
• 3:28
  shots of Eldridge Force with the Kuma and Gloom to take advantage
• 3:31
  of the opening. Pulsar Zen was soon wheezing
• 3:33
  from punctured lungs and diaphragm, as in forced him to
• 3:36
  say it, Pull wit half elf God, Pull wit half elf God and soon
• 3:43
  passed out with a chaotic broken sky above and a lull below.
• 3:47
  Cassie turned to her father just as Claude spoke the words.
• 3:51
  I'm sorry. More out of habit and manners
• 3:54
  than any sort of true recognition of the neglect she'd
• 3:57
  felt from him. Even he seemed confused at the
• 3:59
  feeling of hypocrisy that sprung up inside of him.

  Cassie helped him to understand that feeling.

  I don't need a sorry now. I need one then it's too late

  now. Cassie's words settled within
• 4:11
  Claude like ripples in a pond, and just before Cassie
• 4:15
  disappeared, she heard a question at her back.

  Did you get my letters? Without turning back, Cassie and
• 4:20
  Safandria flew off and into the flutter of wish forged
• 4:23
  butterflies. Claude followed as best he
• 4:26
  could, just as he always had with a cantrip of dancing
• 4:29
  lights. Meanwhile, Igor and Esther tried
• 4:32
  to come to terms with the sight before them.
• 4:34
  Zin, blazing with unholy flame, but alive.
• 4:38
  Esther couldn't face it at first, but Igor had to see if it
• 4:42
  was truly Zen. In that moment, Igor spotted the
• 4:44
  weapon that Alita held in her hands.
• 4:46
  A dying star captured in glass, meant to be used as an absolute
• 4:50
  last resort. There's some means of magic and
• 4:52
  faith. The luck blade once more found
• 4:55
  Igor's hand. As he raised the familiar blade,
• 4:57
  Igor gave a mighty throw back. Flipping with the momentum,
• 5:02
  Esther dashed in and wrestled the Star in Glass device away
• 5:05
  from Alita. Just before she was able to
• 5:07
  crush and activate the collapsing void with purposeful
• 5:10
  steps, Igor and Esther defected. Walking to the edge of the
• 5:14
  valleys domain, they saw the sea of astral waters that now
• 5:17
  pressed against the boundary of the domain.
• 5:20
  Knowing it was right to do, Igor threw the dying star into the
• 5:23
  Astro void just as he and Esther heard a voice behind them.
• 5:28
  With a classic level of banter and confusion, Zinn said hello
• 5:32
  to her 2 long lost friends. It was in that moment that the
• 5:36
  star in glass shattered and the astral tide and dispersed enough
• 5:41
  of the shifting sea to spot something zooming toward them
• 5:45
  through the blast. A ship of rough wood with
• 5:48
  tattered purple sails that bare the emblem of a bottle in the
• 5:52
  midst of breaking. And with that, Bush Beard
• 5:55
  announced himself and his vessel, the Bottle Breaker Gear
• 5:59
  to claim these lands once more. We rejoin our heroes now as the
• 6:03
  sky is still falling. Zen's childhood friends Igor and
• 6:06
  Esther have reunited with her, Cassie has been unwillingly
• 6:09
  reunited with her father, and a pirate named Wishbeard and his
• 6:12
  crew aboard the Bottle Breaker grow ever nearer as a rush of
• 6:16
  astral waters, largely Violet and silver in color, push in and
• 6:20
  remove Wishbeard and his vessel from view.
• 6:22
  Give me your survival check. I think everyone with
• 6:25
  disadvantage except for Cassie. And parable.
• 6:29
  Sure, I will say parable, too. That worked.
• 6:31
  You know what? Yeah.
• 6:31
  You made me think about it again.

  All right, I'm taking into account how much your innate
• 6:36
  magical senses would help you to discern how far away Wish Beard
• 6:39
  is. At 20.
• 6:40
  He fought for flat and that's a good flat. 13 for Cassie. 6 for
• 6:45
  Zen. 6 unfortunately is not enough to to get the the gist,
• 6:49
  but 13 is absolutely enough to get the gist, which is that the
• 6:52
  astral Sea is largely variable and how long something takes to
• 6:56
  get somewhere. There are consistencies amongst
• 6:59
  things that travel through it, but it's based on how
• 7:02
  intelligent and how willful or mindful that target can be.
• 7:08
  Just from stories that your mom had told you, or maybe almost
• 7:11
  something innately deep within you, inside of that astral elf
• 7:15
  part of you, Cassie, you feel with the tides as they are.
• 7:18
  You have a bit of time before Wish Beard gets here.
• 7:21
  How much is a bit. Maybe parable can tell.
• 7:23
  That might be affected as you're thinking of it with a 13 by a
• 7:27
  couple of things, primarily their speed, which you clocked.
• 7:30
  What you can't know for certain is once they grow closer and
• 7:33
  start hitting like the boundary field, if they'll be pushed back
• 7:36
  or delayed by any of your effects.
• 7:38
  So as we shift over to parable you with that Nat 20 make
• 7:44
  soulful eye contact with another noble Jin.
• 7:49
  You see Wishbeard to be another Demi Jin noble blooded to be
• 7:54
  clear, not like a tem who is a grand Jin of creation, but one
• 7:59
  who shares that essence. And as you clock him, you one
• 8:04
  know that your domain effects you can feel within the magic
• 8:08
  that because he doesn't have the permission to pass through the
• 8:11
  boundary, your guys's effects of fire shield and slow and
• 8:14
  reincarnation would all do something to push him back or
• 8:19
  delay him, but you feel no hostility from him.
• 8:23
  Parable, despite everything going around him, is going to
• 8:26
  remember books of sand and boats and ships that sailed on them,
• 8:32
  and stars and sailing through those cosmic waves.
• 8:37
  And he's going to remember something he used to think all
• 8:41
  the time and not say out loud. And I'm not going to say that,
• 8:46
  Parable says. I wish I was a pirate.

  He thinks it real hard. He.
• 8:51
  Thinks it real hard and says I always wanted to be a pirate.
• 8:56
  Is quivering, ready to meet whoever the hell is on that
• 8:59
  boat. Are we going to heal parables in
• 9:00
  our child meds? Just before the actual waters
• 9:04
  fully converge and close you here within your mind.

  Ah, new to the blood I see. Is this Mr. Pirate, Sir?

  Static starts to fill the voice as he says that will be a wish
• 9:19
  beer to you and nothing else. Weird to yell in my own head.

  And you cut out as the astral Sea converges back in and cuts
• 9:28
  them fully from view. You can also work out that
• 9:31
  there's almost half a day before he could even get close.
• 9:35
  It's without like rolling for things like you'd have to roll
• 9:38
  against the slow effect of your domain boundary and the fire
• 9:41
  shield would hurt unless you guys allow passage, but you have
• 9:45
  half a day to decide that. Yeah, I think Parable excitably
• 9:49
  looks down because he remembers, Oh, I that Slow acted really
• 9:53
  weird when that when that happened.
• 9:54
  I'm still new to these powers. And he takes Brick out and he
• 9:57
  tries to track how far. It's actually really starting to
• 10:01
  struggle because you would no longer have a globe of Brick is
• 10:05
  the lines apart are breaking into fragmented pieces.
• 10:07
  And so Brick is struggling to track that as best he can.
• 10:10
  And it it comes more so with like an inability to look at the
• 10:13
  hole. You have to do a lot of Rubik's
• 10:15
  cubing to get to a point where you're able to see just one side
• 10:19
  of the domain. You can't even get a 360 view of
• 10:22
  the valley right now because it's just so brand new, but
• 10:26
  Brick is starting to map it out. Yeah, I kind of imagined it like
• 10:29
  only one, where all the panels would like rise and float and
• 10:32
  swirl. Once I got it right, only one
• 10:33
  kind of popped up. Shaken.
• 10:35
  Yeah, yeah, yeah, absolutely. And bricks like let's do it.

  Doing his best to hold it up. As Bricks struggles to map this
• 10:42
  out, I think you guys have a general idea of when he will
• 10:44
  arrive, and I'll even give you like a forewarning so that you
• 10:46
  guys can prepare for it. But for now, you guys have a lot
• 10:48
  of loose threads as Igor and Esther off to one side and
• 10:51
  Cassie and her father and Saphandrea and group are off to
• 10:54
  the other. I think Cassie to be crystal
• 10:56
  clear and to be able to share this information with others
• 10:59
  would probably ask Parable since it seems like he has a better
• 11:03
  grasp on the ship incoming. Like, are you sensing danger?

  pirates are coming. Have you ever met a pirate?

  No, I can't say I've ever met. Dragon rioters are one thing,

  but pirates? There's so many books about

  Have you read all the books about pirates?

  No, just the space books. They're space pirates.

  What's a pirate parable? They don't.

  They don't take shit from anybody.

  No one can hold them down, no one can bind them.

  They're free to do anything they want, take whatever they want.

  Oh, the pirates are awesome. But are they nice?

  Do we need to get ready for a fight?

  I'm sure there's nice pirates. All the pirates that I actually,

  now that I think about it, all the pirates that I did read

  about in the books were. Give me a history check if you
• 11:45
  guys want to see if you know anything about the pirate coming
• 11:48
  your way. And I'll say right now, Raya and
• 11:51
  Saphandria and Gloom and Glimmer are doing a lot to make the
• 11:54
  Living Wish lanes feel comfortable as they've all kind
• 11:56
  of gathered kind of like a little bits of light that
• 11:58
  imitates the objects and feelings around them.

  What are those history checks? A 24 Whoa.
• 12:04
  Which is like yay Zin but also like what bullshit did her
• 12:09
  community tell her? 24 On what history, though?

  Cassie just says what's a pirate but I rolled in at 20s.

  Oh my. Right.

  There with his hand for like Oh yeah, the serial.

  This actually makes perfect sense.

  This makes perfect sense. We will get to that Nat 20 and
• 12:27
  Cassie. We're going to start, as I like

  to do, with the the lower role of the 24, which is insane.

  Terrible got a 19. Oh my God.

  OK, so you you also get this, but not the religious version of
• 12:38
  this parable so you can discern yourself.

  But Zen, you've heard of spell beard, never wish beard.
• 12:45
  But you've heard of a pirate, a legendary pirate captain.
• 12:49
  And pirate is synonymous with you, with criminal and exile.

  And you know, it all just slots into that bucket that isn't
• 12:55
  follower of the light. But you've heard of Spellbeard.
• 12:58
  And these were in the older, older stories that came
• 13:01
  supposedly from before the great wishing You guys did have a
• 13:05
  small amount of knowledge, ancient knowledge that you guys
• 13:09
  had just little bits of. And one of those was like the
• 13:12
  storied piracy of an individual called Spellbeard who would raid
• 13:18
  a place for its magical energy. And it said that early on, when
• 13:21
  Domi was a little bit more newborn as a community, that
• 13:26
  they face Raiders of a similar kind, one who would come and
• 13:30
  raid and pillage them for their energy that they were using to
• 13:33
  hold off the energy of the great wishing.
• 13:36
  And so it's it's, it's, it was almost used as like a look at
• 13:40
  how terrible humanity was before the light came to teach us our
• 13:45
  new ways. And then the great wishing
• 13:47
  happened and people still did it.
• 13:50
  They still pirated. They just did it on land,
• 13:53
  striking into others domains and taking their power.
• 13:56
  Though it may be just not as associated with water, but more
• 13:59
  with just like pure thief, pure thievery and pure as close to a
• 14:03
  well wisher as you could get. Yeah, I think Zen, I mean having
• 14:06
  just like had Eager and Esther like turn around like looking
• 14:10
  and then she's not like looking behind them and just says
• 14:13
  Spellbeard. So a mighty reputation.
• 14:18
  And Cassie, with your natural 20, this makes perfect sense why
• 14:21
  you wouldn't pattern this as piracy.
• 14:24
  Because yeah, maybe you've read stories and that word just
• 14:27
  didn't click exactly, but your mom always talked about it as
• 14:29
  saline. So wholesome.

  And her comrades as sailors or at times privateers.

  Never. Ever pirate and as that clicks

  in your adult mind, something in your heart just kind of knows
• 14:46
  with that natural 20 that your your mom had.

  She was a liberal. She she had a she probably had a
• 14:52
  bit of a wild child to pass before ever settling down in the
• 14:56
  lands apart. And it probably came in a form
• 14:59
  like the one that you are seeing ahead of you.

  Flying high on the high tides of the Astral Sea and living life
• 15:06
  by the rough wood of the ship needs you.
• 15:08
  What a bad ass. Well, I suppose then instead of

  upon asking Parable what a pirate is and sort of connecting
• 15:15
  the dots that he's pointing at these people, I might say those
• 15:18
  are sailors, not pirates, what's a pirate?
• 15:20
  And just sort of correct that. You know privateers, you know
• 15:23
  the they're all over. Yeah, but what language is that?
• 15:26
  Pirates. I've never heard that word.
• 15:28
  I think they associate with the same words.
• 15:31
  I mean, in the books that I read, there were good pirates,
• 15:33
  there were bad pirates, there were privateers.
• 15:35
  They were. They were all types of different
• 15:37
  things, but mainly they were free.
• 15:38
  All the stories I've heard of privateers and sailors, they
• 15:41
  were all good and fun and wonderful.

  I mean, there were some bad ones.

  This is news to me, but you'll learn something new every day, I

  suppose. As you guys chat about these

  pirates coming in, we have Parable and Cassie kind of off
• 15:55
  to one side of the western flank of this valley right now, and
• 15:59
  Zen, Esther and Igor still off to the side.

  Have you guys continued that reunion?

  I would say probably we haven't moved from the edge of the what

  maybe was a bluff, so just the edge of the floating thing that
• 16:14
  we're on. Perfect.

  So this is a conversation amongst you, Igor and Esther

  about Spellbeard. And like all that crazy, I.

  Can't hear what they're talking about.

  As Cassie and we will discuss, pirates and privateers,

  Saphandria and RYA, at that point come on over and say, are

  Or do we have time to take care of the wishlanes?

  They're like moving in kind of unison as they're both dropping

  into their natural roles as caretakers for these newborn

  wishlanes. I think his name, if he was

  being honest, is Wishbeard and he seems like a fantastic guy.

  Which one are you looking at? You're giving me such intense

  eye contact. I need to know if you're looking

  at Raya or Savandria. I'm honestly darting back and

  forth between like parables. I think pirates and pirates

  stories were his first imagination escape when he was

  in the book. Well, and he's like almost has

  the battle behind him and forgetting about everything

  around him. So excited for this.

  But he does say I I think we have to wait at least like, you

  know, a few hours, if not more. It might be a whole half a day.

  Ryan, I think, chimes in and says like, as if out of

  instinct, Bad breath, but he's a good guy.

  I mean anyways. You know him.

  No, it's just one of those, one of those weird feelings, Mr.

  Fondre says. So half a day.

  OK, we'll take care of the wishlinks then.

  Raya takes a second, gathers herself and tries to do that

  thing where you just concentrate and hope to remember.

  And Claude is just over to the side, one hit point and having

  been talked down, he is really waiting his turn.

  Good boy. As he knows, Cassie has not read

  his letters. But with the 17, Raya will

  definitely gather herself enough to recall that.

  Yeah. And Oh my gosh, I wish I could

  just. I I'm not going to be able to

  hold them, but so many stories, so many.

  Here, take Brick. He like it's been working better

  And places her hand, hoping to capture a little bit more of

  these memories that flood through.

  And I will give this another roll here.

  I think it specifically says like a small passing memory.

  I think with a 15 you capture 1 memory in crystal clear clarity,

  which is of Soraya and the moment that she fell in love
• 18:47
  with sailing and the moment that she fell in love with the astral
• 18:50
  sea because up until that point she travelled of her own accord.
• 18:53
  Until you have this memory of her on a ship feeling what it's
• 18:57
  like to you have the word in your mind now, as Raya says,
• 19:01
  spell jam. It's I don't think it would work
• 19:04
  like that. Now something tells me we have
• 19:07
  something denser around us than just astral waters.
• 19:10
  But and you catch one other. Again, this is a little bit more
• 19:14
  of a scattered memory, but this one is of your mother diving off
• 19:18
  the edge of the ship and floating through the waters and
• 19:21
  Starlight, stepping throughout and looking for denser patches
• 19:24
  of astral sea where she could like bound off of and play with
• 19:28
  the the planes of gravity that would mix and match around.
• 19:32
  It cuts out way too quickly, but it clicks.

  As Raya says it, the astral waters around you are like
• 19:38
  they're primordially dense. She's my shooting star.
• 19:43
  She is and has been many a time, I'm sure.

  What a special memory to have captured.

  I like because of who Raya is. Instead of you having to touch
• 19:53
  brick at all, it almost just as they touch it, IT projects
• 19:56
  through brick into you. Thanks.

  This one of those things where like my memory of things because

  of where I grew up maybe isn't accurate to the actual world.
