- 0:29Speaker 2: three days a week. My clothes are fitting different. I
- 0:32Speaker 2: feel good, but I just don't. I want to do CrossFit.
- 0:35Speaker 3: You know, I used to do CrossFit.
- 0:37Speaker 2: No, you did that way, the hand of the Bible way.
- 0:41Speaker 3: Used to do it every morning for six weeks. Do
- 0:45Speaker 3: you like it?
- 0:47Speaker 2: Classes? Yeah? Is that hard?
- 0:50Speaker 3: Uh?
- 0:51Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 0:51Speaker 3: Because I didn't jump into the beginners. I just went
- 0:54Speaker 3: all in, and for six.
- 0:55Speaker 5: Weeks I was like, oh my gosh, it hurt. It's intimidating,
- 1:01Speaker 5: it's intense, and you better be ready for intense.
- 1:04Speaker 3: I don't know if they do beginner classes. I just
- 1:06Speaker 3: want all in.
- 1:06Speaker 4: All right.
- 1:07Speaker 3: Well, I'm looking.
- 1:08Speaker 2: If you're listening to the show, if you're a CrossFit trainer,

- 1:29Speaker 2: What the hell headlines, Crazy things people are doing in
- 1:32Speaker 2: the news, and if you have good news that you
- 1:34Speaker 2: want to share, call the show eight three three five
- 1:36Speaker 2: oh one, Bama, it's what.
- 1:39Speaker 3: The hell headlines?
- 1:40Speaker 2: What the hell are you talking about? On the Alabama Show,
- 1:45Speaker 2: a man used a kitten to try to rub a bank.
- 1:49Speaker 3: What are they legally labeled as weapons?
- 1:53Speaker 1: Now?
- 1:53Speaker 4: No?
- 1:54Speaker 2: So. In Maryland, a man stole a three month kitten
- 1:57Speaker 2: from a pet store across the street from a and
- 2:00Speaker 2: then he ran from the pet store with the kitten
- 2:02Speaker 2: in his hands into the bank, handed the kitten to
- 2:05Speaker 2: the bank teller along with a note that said give
- 2:07Speaker 2: me all your cash. So he's making it look like, oh,
- 2:10Speaker 2: look at this cute kitty, give me all your money.
- 2:13Speaker 2: So police arrested the man on the scene. The kitten
- 2:16Speaker 2: was returned back and now. In the adoption description of
- 2:20Speaker 2: the kitten, it says she's looking for a law abiding
- 2:23Speaker 2: citizen with a lot of love to.
- 2:25Speaker 1: Give super Easy Trivia with the Yelabama Show eight three.

- 2:42Speaker 4: Just went out for a walk? Oh?
- 2:44Speaker 2: Good for you. Well, this is a good time to
- 2:46Speaker 2: go out for a walk before it turns a million
- 2:48Speaker 2: degrees outside. Man, Melanie, do you want to play super
- 2:53Speaker 2: easy trivia to win tickets to Rock the South?
- 2:57Speaker 4: Sure?
- 2:58Speaker 2: All right, we're going to do it. Are you smarter
- 3:00Speaker 2: than Producer Blake? Style? So I will ask the question
- 3:04Speaker 2: and use your name as your buzzer and say the
- 3:07Speaker 2: answer really fast, because even if you use your name
- 3:09Speaker 2: and I call on you, Producer Blake's gonna try to
- 3:12Speaker 2: cheat because he's just a little cheater.
- 3:14Speaker 4: Cheater.
- 3:17Speaker 2: And here we go, Melanie. Question number one, how many
- 3:22Speaker 2: stars are on the American Flag?
- 3:25Speaker 3: Producer Blake fifty?
- 3:27Speaker 2: Melanie, got it, that's right.
- 3:30Speaker 3: Next one, this is a game. It's hard to play.
- 3:34Speaker 2: What kind of animal was a boo in Aladdin?
- 3:37Speaker 3: Preacher Blake? Melanie?
- 3:39Speaker 2: Melanie, Oh I don't know. Say monkey, Melanie, say monkey,

- 3:58Speaker 2: Job Girl melody. Congratulations girl, you're just one. You're going
- 4:12Speaker 2: to rock the South and I hope that makes your
- 4:14Speaker 2: walk this morning even better.
- 4:16Speaker 4: Oh yes, thank you so much.
- 4:17Speaker 2: It's three things you need to know with the elem
- 4:21Speaker 2: Congratulations to Seasick Records. They just made the ten best
- 4:25Speaker 2: record stores in the South according to Southern Living. They
- 4:28Speaker 2: say this is a place for every music lover's bucket list,
- 4:31Speaker 2: So we got one Birmingham represented right here in Southern Living.
- 4:35Speaker 2: If you haven't been in a while. They relocated to
- 4:37Speaker 2: the lake View Marina development last year, so it's in
- 4:40Speaker 2: any location if it's been a few years since you've been.
- 4:42Speaker 2: But literally they are a great record store, so I
- 4:45Speaker 2: would go. You could find literally anything you're looking for.
- 4:49Speaker 2: Campbell's just released protein soup. They have five flavors, four
- 4:53Speaker 2: of them are brand new flavors. The soup has twenty
- 4:56Speaker 2: grams of protein. The flavors are Italian Style Wedding soup,
- 5:00Speaker 2: Lemon pepper, chicken, Home style chicken and Rotini, Southwest black Bean,
- 5:04Speaker 2: and Mediterranean LNL. So enjoy if you are watching your
- 5:08Speaker 2: protein and counting your micros and doing all the things.
- 5:11Speaker 2: Campbell's now has protein too. Post Milan is going to
- 5:15Speaker 2: headline in the twenty twenty six World Cup closing ceremony.
- 5:18Speaker 3: Okay, that's kind of cool. I know.
- 5:19Speaker 2: FIFA just announced he's going to be among the headliners
- 5:22Speaker 2: on July nineteenth. They say he will deliver what FIFA
- 5:25Speaker 2: calls a landmark performance before the match begins. Jennifer Hudson
- 5:29Speaker 2: is going to sing the national anthem. Tom Cruise is
- 5:31Speaker 2: also going to be a part of the ceremony. I
- 5:33Speaker 2: really hope he does some kind of stunt and flies
- 5:36Speaker 2: in because you know it's Tom Cruise. It starts at
- 5:39Speaker 2: twelve thirty our time, which is ninety minutes before kickoff.
- 5:43Speaker 2: The halftime show is going to be co headlined by BTS,
- 5:47Speaker 2: Justin Bieber, Madonna and Shakira. That's going to be huge.
- 5:50Speaker 3: That's a good lineup.
- 5:52Speaker 2: I cannot wait. So that is going to be July nineteenth.
- 5:55Speaker 2: What day is that? Saturday?
- 5:57Speaker 3: I think so? Yeah? I think or Friday?
- 5:59Speaker 2: Sunday?
- 6:00Speaker 3: Is this Sunday?
- 6:01Speaker 2: Look at your calendar right now, it's the sixteenth. It's
- 6:03Speaker 2: Thursday eight. Yeah, Sunday. Why did we not do this
- 6:07Speaker 2: before we went on the air. We're radio professionals here.
- 6:10Speaker 2: That's three things you need to know more at the
- 6:13Speaker 2: Alabama Show dot com.
- 6:16Speaker 1: You were listening to the Alabama Show on to man,
- 6:19Speaker 1: what's the oldest, nastiest thing you've ever found in your fridge?
- 6:21Speaker 2: Called the show eight three three five by one, Bama
- 6:24Speaker 2: is the number. That's eight three three five by one.
- 6:26Speaker 3: Two two sixty. Good morning.
- 6:27Speaker 2: My name is Alabama with producer Blake.
- 6:29Speaker 3: I'm producer Blake.
- 6:30Speaker 2: We're going to go on a journey together this morning.
- 6:33Speaker 3: Okay, So me mall.
- 6:35Speaker 2: My grandmother that raised me has been on me for
- 6:39Speaker 2: like a week because my little cousin, Hannah, who is
- 6:43Speaker 2: the second grade teacher, is going back to school. Yes,
- 6:47Speaker 2: Hannah has been asking for certain things for her classroom.
- 6:51Speaker 3: Okay.
- 6:51Speaker 2: One of the things she has asked for is a
- 6:54Speaker 2: mini fridge. Yes, I said, we got one in the studio. Yeah,
- 7:01Speaker 2: that we don't.
- 7:01Speaker 3: Use cours in here. Yeah.
- 7:04Speaker 2: The problem with so many fridges.
- 7:06Speaker 5: I remember the last time we opened it a year
- 7:08Speaker 5: and a half ago, and it's messed up the whole building.
- 7:11Speaker 3: And I left food in there for like months. Yeah,
- 7:15Speaker 3: and we think that somebody cleaned it out, but we're
- 7:18Speaker 3: not sure.
- 7:19Speaker 2: And I don't know what else is in there and
- 7:21Speaker 2: how bad it smells. But I gotta take this thing
- 7:24Speaker 2: out of here and we gotta clean.
- 7:27Speaker 5: You're saying there's a fifty fifty shot that we're about
- 7:30Speaker 5: to have this room ruined.
- 7:32Speaker 3: We need to open it.
- 7:33Speaker 2: I was like, we're gonna open it live on the air,
- 7:36Speaker 2: and you're gonna check with me.
- 7:39Speaker 5: I'm guessing you want me to go open it and
- 7:41Speaker 5: see if there's something in it.
- 7:43Speaker 2: Yeah, give it a whim before we give them any
- 7:46Speaker 2: fridge away.
- 7:48Speaker 3: Right now, right now.
- 7:50Speaker 2: If you missed it, like a year ago, we did
- 7:52Speaker 2: this and I think I left like an old rotten
- 7:54Speaker 2: egg or something, and Producer Blake almost threw up.
- 7:58Speaker 3: It's so bad.
- 7:59Speaker 2: Alright, you ready one, two, three?
- 8:01Speaker 3: Open it? Look o empty? Oh they do clean it?
- 8:05Speaker 1: Oh my god?
- 8:07Speaker 2: Does it smell? Did you sniff it? I tried it.
- 8:09Speaker 3: I don't smell anything. So today we're getting off lucky.
- 8:12Speaker 2: Oh thank god, I've been so worried about that.
- 8:15Speaker 5: I'm not gonna lie to you. This is an honest,
- 8:17Speaker 5: honest to god right now. Did your card think that?
- 8:21Speaker 5: But also I had a nightmare about this fridge that
- 8:25Speaker 5: day we opened it. I had a nightmare later that
- 8:28Speaker 5: was like I thought I woke up crying because I
- 8:31Speaker 5: couldn't smell anything.
- 8:32Speaker 3: It was so bad.
- 8:34Speaker 5: That was by far the worst smell I think I've
- 8:36Speaker 5: ever smelled in my life. I think that's the closest
- 8:37Speaker 5: I've been to letting it all come out.
- 8:39Speaker 3: Well, now we have to go.
- 8:41Speaker 2: Thank John, our guy in our office.
- 8:42Speaker 3: He cleaned it. We thought we were wait.
- 8:44Speaker 2: He said he was gonna, but we weren't sure.
- 8:46Speaker 3: Anyway, Thank you John. Call the show.
- 8:50Speaker 2: What's the oldest thing that you have ever found in
- 8:53Speaker 2: your refrigerator? Eight three thirty five I one BEMA is
- 8:55Speaker 2: the numbers, and that's eight three thirty five O one
- 8:58Speaker 2: two two six two.
- 9:00Speaker 1: If you were listening to the Alabama Show.
- 9:02Speaker 2: On demand, eight three three five one BAMA is the
- 9:04Speaker 2: number to call the show. What's the oldest thing you've
- 9:06Speaker 2: ever found in your fridge or anybody else's fridge? Kayla,
- 9:09Speaker 2: good morning. Where are you calling from new Market, Alabama? Awesome?
- 9:13Speaker 2: Thank you for listening to New Market. Are you going
- 9:15Speaker 2: to work? What are you doing?
- 9:17Speaker 4: Uh? Yeah, I headed to work?
- 9:18Speaker 2: Okay, what do you where do you work? What do
- 9:20Speaker 2: you do? I mean? It's just a manager at the
- 9:22Speaker 2: Dollar General market that is freaking awesome. Look, I love
- 9:25Speaker 2: Dollar General, y'all's home good stuff. Like the past few years.
- 9:29Speaker 2: I found some really good stuff for my house at
- 9:31Speaker 2: the DG. It is it, sure is, I love it.
- 9:34Speaker 2: I go broke working there. Kayla, are you calling about
- 9:38Speaker 2: the dastiest thing? I'm your refrigerator.
- 9:40Speaker 3: Yes, my father in law.
- 9:44Speaker 2: I was going through his refrigerator and I found a falls.
- 9:50Speaker 4: From twenty and thirteen in his fridge.
- 9:53Speaker 2: What year was it that you cleaned out his fridge?
- 9:56Speaker 2: This was last year, twelve years in a fridge. He
- 10:05Speaker 2: made me leave it in there because he said it
- 10:07Speaker 2: was so good. What kind of sauce was it? It was?
- 10:12Speaker 2: I think it was like some kind of barbecue sauce or.
- 10:14Speaker 3: Something and just go buy some new ones.
- 10:17Speaker 4: Or he said he had homemade it and like put
- 10:21Speaker 4: it in another jar that it wasn't all the way
- 10:24Speaker 4: from twenty thirteen.
- 10:25Speaker 2: But I was like, he's lying. You're trying to like
- 10:29Speaker 2: he definitely lied. Well, don't eat barbecue at your father
- 10:32Speaker 2: in law's house.
- 10:33Speaker 4: Cat He can throw down some barbecue, but I will
- 10:37Speaker 4: never use the sauce.
- 10:40Speaker 1: It's three things you need to know. It was the
- 10:43Speaker 1: Alabama Show.
- 10:44Speaker 2: Don't forget tax free weekend in Alabama this weekend the
- 10:47Speaker 2: seventeenth through the nineteenth, so starting tomorrow, the state is
- 10:50Speaker 2: gearing up for back to school season. So according to
- 10:52Speaker 2: the Alabama Department of Revenue, some of the things you
- 10:55Speaker 2: can buy tax free are like clothing items less than
- 10:58Speaker 2: one hundred and fifty six dollars each school supplies, art supplies, books,
- 11:02Speaker 2: single purchases of computers, computer supplies or software that's one
- 11:07Speaker 2: one and seventy three dollars or less, So a MacBook
- 11:11Speaker 2: probably not a will fit in that category. Diaper's, raincoats, paints,
- 11:15Speaker 2: and stuff. So now's the time this weekend to go
- 11:17Speaker 2: shopping for your school supplies. Netflix just released the first
- 11:21Speaker 2: season of Stranger Things in the style of VHS tape.
- 11:24Speaker 2: They are celebrating the tenth anniversary and they dropped a
- 11:28Speaker 2: video of the cast who came back to reflect on
- 11:30Speaker 2: the past ten years. The VHS style. First season is
- 11:34Speaker 2: not actually on VHS tapes. It's streaming on Netflix, but
- 11:37Speaker 2: they say it's a vibe that's glitchy, grainy, and gloriously vintage,
- 11:42Speaker 2: just like you would have rented it in nineteen eighty three,
- 11:45Speaker 2: So you can go back and watch it in VHS style.
- 11:49Speaker 2: I think Britney Spears is pregnant.
- 11:51Speaker 3: What why don't you drop the no?
- 11:55Speaker 2: I just so Instagram. She posted seven hours ago on
- 11:58Speaker 2: Instagram a photo of baby clothes that are pink and
- 12:02Speaker 2: there's like a carousel and there's a painting of a
- 12:05Speaker 2: mother with a baby and pictures of her with her sons,
- 12:07Speaker 2: and she said, if you're lucky, if you're lucky, I
- 12:10Speaker 2: have someone unbelievably beautiful. I want to introduce you to
- 12:14Speaker 2: hopefully this year, and if not, the most beautiful things
- 12:17Speaker 2: will never be seen. She also hinted, so then I
- 12:21Speaker 2: went down the rabbit hole online. She hinted a few
- 12:24Speaker 2: weeks ago at wanting another baby. Family members are freaking
- 12:27Speaker 2: out because she just had her DUI arrest several months
- 12:30Speaker 2: ago and went to rehab and they're like, now it's
- 12:33Speaker 2: not the time to throw a baby in the mix.
- 12:35Speaker 3: Oh my gosh.
- 12:36Speaker 2: I don't know if she's pregnant. I don't know if
- 12:38Speaker 2: she's trying to get a surrogate. I don't know what's
- 12:40Speaker 2: going on. If you follow Britney Spears on Instagram, you
- 12:43Speaker 2: already know that she's a little out there. On her Instagram,
- 12:46Speaker 2: we love Britney. We hope she gets better.
- 12:49Speaker 3: That's all mist day. Yeah, that's all we can say.
- 12:51Speaker 2: That's three things you need to know more at the
- 12:54Speaker 2: Alabama Show dot com.
- 12:57Speaker 1: You were listening to the Alabama Show. The following program
- 13:00Speaker 1: is on demand.
- 13:02Speaker 2: Here's a good news story for today.
- 13:03Speaker 3: All right on.
- 13:05Speaker 2: Imagine you're trying to find love. You're at an airport
- 13:07Speaker 2: and the airport plays Cupid. Because on July eighth, there
- 13:10Speaker 2: was a girl named Grace.
- 13:12Speaker 3: She was at the.
- 13:13Speaker 2: Airport in Cleveland and she saw a handsome maintenance worker
- 13:16Speaker 2: on the tarmac and she missed the chance to give
- 13:19Speaker 2: them her number. So she went on Reddit to see
- 13:22Speaker 2: if the internet could help her, kind of like misconnections.
- 13:25Speaker 6: Yeah, her Reddit post went viral. The airport officials saw
- 13:30Speaker 6: it and they identified the guy. His name was Simon,
- 13:34Speaker 6: and so when Grace flew back from her vacation four
- 13:37Speaker 6: days later, Simon was waiting at the gate with a
- 13:39Speaker 6: bouquet of flowers.
- 13:41Speaker 3: That's that is so cool.
- 13:42Speaker 2: I love this story. I'm telling you like it's like
- 13:45Speaker 2: a freaking movie. I love when there's love stories like
- 13:48Speaker 2: a movie. He literally was waiting. So now they're planning
- 13:50Speaker 2: their first date. Someone on Reddit. Also offered her services
- 13:54Speaker 2: as a wedding planner if they decided to get married
- 13:57Speaker 2: after the first date.
- 14:00Speaker 3: Yeah, that's awesome.
- 14:01Speaker 2: I freaking love that. Could you imagine coming back from
- 14:04Speaker 2: the airport and the main's workers standing there waiting with
- 14:07Speaker 2: the bouquet flowers. That is the sweetest thing I have
- 14:09Speaker 2: ever heard.
- 14:09Speaker 3: She better marry him, he went all out. I will
- 14:12Speaker 3: say that that better end up in marriage.
- 14:14Speaker 2: If you have good news you want to share, call
- 14:16Speaker 2: the show eight three three five, Ay and Bama is
- 14:18Speaker 2: the number.
- 14:19Speaker 1: We're listening to the Alabama Show on demand.
- 14:22Speaker 2: Producer Blake is turning a new leaf? Is that what
- 14:25Speaker 2: we say? A new page?
- 14:26Speaker 3: I don't know how you would work there.
- 14:29Speaker 2: By the way, thanks for listening to the Alabama Show.
- 14:31Speaker 2: I'm Alabama with producer Blake. What's going on? What are
- 14:34Speaker 2: you doing in your life?
- 14:35Speaker 5: I'm looking into colleges to maybe get my teaching degree.
- 14:40Speaker 2: Okay, are you going to go like do full on degree,
- 14:43Speaker 2: like take four classes a day?
- 14:44Speaker 3: No? No, no, no no.
- 14:45Speaker 5: I would do part time throughout after the show, try
- 14:49Speaker 5: to get my degree.
- 14:50Speaker 2: So you want to like fully go back to college
- 14:52Speaker 2: not just one online class?
- 14:54Speaker 5: No, I want to get my teaching to like be
- 14:57Speaker 5: able to go teach right.
- 14:58Speaker 2: So that's full on college right to get your degree.
- 15:01Speaker 5: That only be like another two years because I've already
- 15:03Speaker 5: got my chelms. But I want to go be able
- 15:06Speaker 5: to teach high school kids after in the afternoons or
- 15:10Speaker 5: some college classes.
- 15:11Speaker 3: I woant have to go teach. It would be fun.
- 15:13Speaker 2: What kind of classes do you want to teach?
- 15:16Speaker 4: Do you know?
- 15:17Speaker 2: Like what what genre?
- 15:19Speaker 3: You're gonna be a math teacher, You're going to be
- 15:21Speaker 3: a No.
- 15:22Speaker 5: I would want to do communications or speech classes because
- 15:27Speaker 5: I love that area where people can like just talk
- 15:30Speaker 5: and express themselves and be able to teach like some
- 15:32Speaker 5: tech stuff that most people don't get to learn.
- 15:34Speaker 2: That would be good. I think that would be more
- 15:36Speaker 2: like a vocational school or a college to teach.
- 15:38Speaker 5: Yeah, and I don't think many people get to just
- 15:40Speaker 5: have a fun class anymore. Like that is also informational,
- 15:44Speaker 5: and that's what I kind of want to do.
- 15:45Speaker 3: What started that.
- 15:46Speaker 5: I've always wanted to be a teacher, I just never
- 15:49Speaker 5: have done it. And now I was like, you know,
- 15:50Speaker 5: I got some time off after work.
- 15:54Speaker 2: And I got to quit playing video games.
- 15:57Speaker 5: I was like, you know, if I dook like two classes,
- 16:00Speaker 5: you know, a semester.
- 16:02Speaker 3: I could get my degree at like three years.
- 16:04Speaker 2: So let me ask you this because a producer Blake,
- 16:06Speaker 2: if you missed it, has started going to therapy. Do
- 16:09Speaker 2: you think that, like, as you're learning about yourself and
- 16:11Speaker 2: going to therapy and doing the things, this has sparked
