- 0:18[SPEAKER_00]: This is Turley Talks.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_00]: Seven robes just trying to steal a congressional seat right out from under Missouri voters and Republicans just told them to shove it.
- 0:30[SPEAKER_00]: A handful of judges thought they could just quietly rewrite an election map behind closed doors and what they didn't count on was a second courtroom, a second judge and a second ruling.
- 0:42[SPEAKER_00]: that would blow their entire plan apart before the ink even dried.
- 0:46[SPEAKER_00]: What happens next is the kind of legal gut punch that has one side celebrating and the other side scrambling to explain how they lost control of their own rolling in less than 24 hours.
- 0:57[SPEAKER_00]: Stick them to the very end of this video because this one gets messy fast and by the end, you're going to see exactly who blanked first.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_00]: Hey gang, it's me, Dr. Steve, your Patre professor, you're going to help you make sense of the madness.

- 1:43[SPEAKER_00]: Alright, let's dive right in here, gang back in 2025.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_00]: Missouri's Republican-controlled legislature passed a new congressional map, HB1.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_00]: Kios signed it into law.
- 1:59[SPEAKER_00]: The map did exactly what President Trump asked red states to do last year.
- 2:04[SPEAKER_00]: It took Missouri from a six to two Republican advantage to a seven-to-one advantage by dismantling the Kansas City-based fifth district, long held by Democrat Manual Cleaver, stretching it out into deep red rule territory.
- 2:19[SPEAKER_00]: Simple enough.
- 2:21[SPEAKER_00]: The legislature legislated the Governor signed it and Missouri moved on to use that exact map in its August primaries.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_00]: Winners were certified candidates were locked in.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_00]: But then in that process of it all, a far left group calling itself people not politicians gathered over 300,000 signatures demanding a referendum to kill the new map.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_00]: Republican Secretary of State Denny Hoskins looked at Missouri's constitution and said quite reasonably, uh, no way.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_00]: The congressional redistricting isn't the kind of law voters get to veto by petition.
- 2:58[SPEAKER_00]: It's decided by the legislature and signed by the governor.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_00]: And so he rejected it.
- 3:03[SPEAKER_00]: A lower court agreed with him completely back in August, ruling flatly that referendum provisions do not apply to congressional redistricting enacted by the general assembly.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_00]: Nevertheless, the referendum went through the appellate process all the way up to the state Supreme Court there in Missouri.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_00]: And to the shock of everyone involved on September 3rd, just days ago, after all the primaries have been held with this new map, that Missouri Supreme Court, a seven member court were five of the seven judges were appointed by a Republican governor.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_00]: unanimously overturned the previous ruling.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_00]: The Missouri Supreme Court unanimously blocked the state's GOP drawn congressional map from being used in the November mid-terms, even though the primaries have already been held.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, the map was a done deal.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_00]: The map was a goal.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_00]: The state legislature that has sole plenary authority over elections, the district drawing overwhelmingly approved it months ago.
- 4:10[SPEAKER_00]: This is a 7-1 GOP redistricted map designed to add a mega-friendly seat and dismantle the ridiculous Kansas City Jerry Mander that's been protecting a Democrat seat for years.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_00]: It passed the Missouri House signed by the governor, freaking last year in 2025, and just literally days before the midterms, after the primaries, this Missouri Supreme Court has
- 4:42[SPEAKER_00]: Now, given that the primaries were already held according to the new map, the Republican Attorney General Catherine Hanaway didn't mince words.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_00]: She called this decision this ruling by the State Supreme Court of full-fledged constitutional crisis.
- 4:57[SPEAKER_00]: and she pointed out that never before in American history as a court overturned a congressional map after a primary was held and before just before the general election.
- 5:07[SPEAKER_00]: So Hannahway went straight to the U.S. Supreme Court.
- 5:11[SPEAKER_00]: She filed an emergency appeal warning of unprocessing on a chaos, telling the judges that Missouri just simply can't run a timely lawful federal election absent.
- 5:20[SPEAKER_00]: They're overturning or a stay of this ruling.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_00]: But freaking justice Brett Cavittal, who handles emergency Missouri appeals, he denied the state's request in the mean.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_00]: He left the Missouri Supreme Court's ruling stand, no explanation, nothing.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_00]: Basically, it was just another example of a cowardly, fetless Supreme Court to nervous to get involved in another state's blight and election interfering.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_00]: So the left cheered and celebrated ran headlines about this was another bloated Trump of Blombleble, and then something
- 5:59[SPEAKER_00]: just happened, that sending shock waves throughout the left, you're going to love it.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_00]: Did you know that more Americans are being diagnosed with Alzheimer's, including people far younger than we traditionally associate with the disease, more than 55 million people worldwide are living with Alzheimer's, or another form of dementia, and reports are shown
- 6:22[SPEAKER_00]: major increases in diagnoses among younger adults, including a 370% increase among people between the ages of 30 to 44 and a 311% increase among those 45 to 54.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_00]: So what exactly is happening inside the brain?
- 6:40[SPEAKER_00]: One of the hallmarks of Alzheimer's is a protein called beta amoloid.
- 6:46[SPEAKER_00]: Now, normally these proteins are cleared away, but in Alzheimer's they can begin clumping together forming sticky plaques between brain cells that interfere with normal brain function.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_00]: Drug companies support billions into developing Alzheimer's treatments and much of that effort has focused on amoloid betas, but researchers are also looking beyond the brain,
- 7:10[SPEAKER_00]: at what's happening in the gut, and that's because your gut and brain are constantly communicating through something called the gut brain access.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_00]: Now think of it like a two-way highway connecting your digestive system and your brains through nerves and hormones.
- 7:27[SPEAKER_00]: and immune signals, and the trillions of bacteria living in your gut playing important role in that communication, and that brings us to a centuries-old fermented food, kimchi.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_00]: Researcher studied bioactive compounds found only in kimchi to see how they affected cognitive and memory problems, and the results were fascinating.
- 7:49[SPEAKER_00]: These compounds
- 7:50[SPEAKER_00]: helped improve memory and cognitive function while reducing oxidative stress, inflammation, and brain cell death, three processes closely associated with neurological decline.
- 8:02[SPEAKER_00]: That's exactly why kimchi won from bright core has become part of my own daily routine.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_00]: It takes the power traditionally fermented kimchi, including more than 900 probiotics strains.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_00]: And it puts it into an easy capsule that I can take every day without the strong taste or smell or mass because taking care of your brain may actually start somewhere you wouldn't expect and that's your gut.

- 8:47[SPEAKER_00]: As it turns out, Missouri Republicans did not just have one iron in the fire.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_00]: They had a second lawsuit running in federal court the entire time was filed by Republican Congressman Bob Onder and other candidates and voters arguing that switching maps between a certified primary in the general election violates federal election law and within hours.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_00]: hours of Cavanol's Theclis decision.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_00]: U.S. District Chief Judge Stephen Clark, a Trump appointee sitting in the eastern District of Missouri, dropped the hammer.
- 9:21[SPEAKER_00]: Clark granted a temporary restraining order,
- 9:24[SPEAKER_00]: flatly barring, Missouri Secretary of State Hoskins from implementing, using publishing, distributing or mandating the use of any congressional district map other than the HB1 map.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_00]: That's the 7-1 Republican map, the Missouri first map that was just signed into law.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_00]: So Clark's reasoning
- 9:53[SPEAKER_00]: for the general election would wreak havoc on the fairness and the orderliness of Missouri's congressional elections calling into question, the candidacy of those nominating the primaries and the votes of those who voted in the primaries.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_00]: Translation, you don't get to run a primary on one map and then yank the rug out for the general election just because you didn't like who won.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_00]: Republican governor, Kio was absolutely blunt in his response to this latest ruling.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_00]: He confirmed that the Missouri first map, this new 71 Republican map will indeed be the map used in the general election.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_00]: He in effect told the Missouri Supreme Court to shove it.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_00]: Attorney General Hanaway, when even further on X, declaring the fight is essentially finished, quote, Missouri has prepared to follow and comply with Chief Judge Clark's order that binds the state to using the Missouri first map for the November General election.
- 10:52[SPEAKER_00]: We appreciate Judge Clark's support of the rights of Missouri voters and the Republican Secretary of State confirmed that the Missouri first congressional map stands as the law of the land.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_00]: Now, they have
- 11:04[SPEAKER_00]: full constitutional precedence to do this.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_00]: It's known as the personal principle from personal versus Gonzalez back in 2006, and it holds a court's cannot change election rules too close to an election because it risked confusing voters disenfranchising both voters and candidates, of course, who've been campaigning in spending money for months prior and disrupting the very administration of the election.
- 11:29[SPEAKER_00]: Missouri already ran its August primary under the seven to one GOP maps, a switching back to the old 2022 map for November would create exactly that kind of last minute judicial disruption that personal ruled against voters, chose nominees under one map, and changing it now would only end up disenfranchising and confusing them.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_00]: So, this timing problem
- 11:55[SPEAKER_00]: would have given the U.S. Supreme Court strong legal grounds to intervene and block the Missouri Supreme Court's ruling effectively reinstating the 71 map for the general election and personal grounds.
- 12:05[SPEAKER_00]: But since Cabinol is once again too feckless to act, then you needed this other judge's ruling in a separate case for Missouri officials to tell their Supreme Court to shove it, which in fact they are infatically doing.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_00]: Again, what you
- 12:21[SPEAKER_00]: have here in the end are two different cases and two different rulings and the Republicans are going with the one that favors them and they are rejecting the ruling that favors the Democrats with personal as their precedent.
- 12:36[SPEAKER_00]: So this is old school bare knuckles power politics in action.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_00]: No question.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_00]: Now, just so you know it is not over.
- 12:42[SPEAKER_00]: The states of Supreme Court is calling in
- 12:45[SPEAKER_00]: Missouri's Secretary of State to explain why the government is going to be ignoring their ruling and more appeals are coming and the U.S. Supreme Court may indeed end up intervening at some point given the conflicting rulings.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_00]: But what we're witnessing is precise of what happens when the Republican Party stands up and rediscovers a political backbone.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_00]: For right now, thanks to Judge Clark, the Missouri first map to 7-1 map, the one voters own elected legislature pass in their own governor's sign.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_00]: That is the map going into the November midterms.
- 13:24[SPEAKER_00]: The old map to want a handful of judges tried to resurrect using frankly illegal theory nobody ever used before.
- 13:31[SPEAKER_00]: That's on ice.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_00]: Every single time the activist left has tried to legislate from the bench in this fight Missouri Republicans have shown up with the receipts, the lawsuits and the judges willing to call it exactly what it is.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_00]: And that gang is what winning looks like in 2026.
- 13:51[SPEAKER_00]: The Republican Party of Trump is the party of fight, fight, fight, and win, win, win.
- 13:58[SPEAKER_00]: and kudos to Missouri Republicans for doing just that.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_00]: So what do you guys think?
