Transcript
- 0:01Welcome to Motherhood Aligned and Assigned, where we help guide
- 0:04mothers from symptoms to solutions.
- 0:07We are Dr. Serena Kaufman and Dr. Veronica Schultz
- 0:10nervous system specialist, helping families discover the missing
- 0:13link in their wellness journey
- 0:14Join us as we translate complex health challenges into simple, actionable
- 0:19solutions for you and your children.
- 0:21your family deserves to thrive.
- 0:23Not just survive.
- 0:25we
- 0:25obviously don't know when you're like watching this, but if you happen
- 0:28to come across our, podcast or even our YouTube at 2:00 AM I'm gonna
- 0:33guess this is especially for you.
- 0:34But if you are that kind of person who wakes up in the middle of the
- 0:37night and is like scrolling, trying to figure out what you should do.
- 0:41Especially when you're just feeling stressed out and at this point in
- 0:44time, you're usually carrying a baby.
- 0:46I don't know.
- 0:47You might not be carrying a baby, but this episode is gonna be about
- 0:49prenatal stress, and so you're pregnant right now, scrolling at
- 0:532:00 AM and you are feeling anxious.
- 0:56Maybe your baby's already here struggling with colic, reflux,
- 0:59sleep issues, or sensory challenges.
- 1:01And this
- 1:02This episode is gonna change how you thought you knew about where
- 1:05these problems actually begin.
- 1:06So what most parents never hear is that the modern pregnancy experience
- 1:10with the constant monitoring, the testing, the fear-based messaging, the
- 1:14like disempowerment, we're just gonna call it what it is, creates chronic
- 1:18stress that doesn't just affect you.
- 1:21It directly programs your baby's developing nervous system.
- 1:23So this is not about guilt, this is about understanding what happened and
- 1:27where the stress started accumulating so you can understand what your child
- 1:30actually needs instead of sitting here listening to a crying baby all night long.
- 1:34Mm-hmm.
- 1:35So this episode is for maybe prenatal or postnatal moms who felt stressed, anxious,
- 1:40or overwhelmed during pregnancy or are feeling those things during pregnancy.
- 1:44This is for parents whose baby struggles with colic, reflux,
- 1:47sleep, or sensory issues, especially those first time parents, right?
- 1:50It's like.
- 1:51There if you're sitting here wondering like how much is too much for a baby
- 1:54crying, you belong on this episode, and then families dealing with developmental
- 1:59delays or behavioral challenges or parents who sense something deeper is going on
- 2:03but can't quite put their finger on it.
- 2:05'cause the pediatrician is like, no, everything's fine on our end.
- 2:08So if you've ever wondered, did my stress affect my baby?
- 2:11This conversation is for you.
- 2:12let's zoom out for a second and I wanna take a look at our great grandmother's.
- 2:19Prenatal experience versus hours.
- 2:22And right off the bat when I'm thinking about this, my husband would
- 2:25say like, well, people just died.
- 2:27They just died.
- 2:28mom says that too.
- 2:29It's
- 2:29they
- 2:30Made it this far.
- 2:31well,
- 2:31well people died when doctors did autopsies and then went straight into
- 2:35delivering a baby and like create, created sepsis and those kinds of things.
- 2:40There is that.
- 2:41And then also,
- 2:42Technically that's also invasive
- 2:45Yeah, lots people died when we didn't understand the hygiene and sanitation.
- 2:51and then also when there are like, we've prevented a lot of mortality
- 2:57when a woman is high risk, we know how to help that woman and save the baby.
- 3:02And mom, we have there no doubt, but just
- 3:06Can I say something completely unhinged?
- 3:08'cause I literally just said this the other day
- 3:10sure.
- 3:10Yeah.
- 3:12My
- 3:12mom made that comment too, of like, we used to just die
- 3:14back then, and I was like.
- 3:17We also wanna look at the quality of life though, right?
- 3:20Like, yes, we live a little longer these days, but I know several people
- 3:24who get to like the last 20 years of life who aren't doing great.
- 3:27So just like, I think it's important that we don't just look at the longevity
- 3:31of life, but also the quality of life.
- 3:33And I feel like the quality of life has gone down.
- 3:37Mm, mm-hmm.
- 3:38I could see that.
- 3:39because we don't move as much.
- 3:40We don't eat as well.
- 3:41We don't live with our family, and so we is not as cognitively sharp, taking care
- 3:45of grand babies, those kinds of things.
- 3:47I
- 3:47the medication is like avoiding the problem as to why we're
- 3:52not doing those things.
- 3:53Right.
- 3:53Like a DHD, anxiety med, like all that stuff.
- 3:55So not to, I mean, just, just keep that in
- 3:58And like the life expectancy number.
- 4:02for
- 4:03a hundred years ago, or 200 years ago was a lot lower because of infant mortality.
- 4:09I don't know why exactly, I could look into this a little bit more.
- 4:13it was was,
- 4:13a lot lower, like the average life expectancy was a lot lower because of
- 4:17infant death, but people were living.
- 4:20into
- 4:20their nineties commonly, right?
- 4:23So any who,
- 4:27she's
- 4:28pregnant.
- 4:29She may have had four or five prenatal visits during her entire pregnancy.
- 4:33So no routine ultrasounds, no genetic screenings, no glucose challenges.
- 4:37And now today in comparison, we're having.
- 4:4012 to 15 routine visits if you're under standard medical OB care,
- 4:47multiple ultrasounds, multiple blood tests, glucose, non-stress test,
- 4:50high risk labels, all these things.
- 4:52So while we're monitoring like this, modern monitoring has its benefits.
- 4:58The message often sounds like something could be wrong at any time.
- 5:02Hmm.
- 5:03Right.
- 5:03And then we're layering that with work stress.
- 5:07Lots of mamas are working until 38 weeks, 40 weeks.
- 5:11Financial stress, social pressure, the constant like research spiral on Dr.
- 5:17Google.
- 5:18I'll put, I'll add in the constant stressors of, of social media, of creating
- 5:24expectations, to be the perfect mom
- 5:27Mm-hmm.
- 5:27Mm-hmm.
- 5:28And
- 5:29That's a lot of stress that our great grandmother did not have.
- 5:34Mm-hmm.
- 5:34There
- 5:35was a 2017 study, published in development and psychopathology, They
- 5:40followed mothers and children from pregnancy through age six, and they
- 5:44and they
- 5:44found that babies born to mothers with high prenatal stress had nervous
- 5:48systems that were 22% more reactive.
- 5:52At six months old, and they also showed 8% lower self-regulation capacity,
- 5:57increased risk for anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges as they grew.
- 6:01So
- 6:03just
- 6:03like before, they're even self-regulating.
- 6:06Teenagers and adults like these are already way more stressed kiddos
- 6:11Hmm.
- 6:11Mm-hmm.
- 6:11because.
- 6:13the
- 6:13The biology and physiology and neurology of development is that in utero,
- 6:20our babies are mirroring our nervous systems to know how to develop to,
- 6:26to, so their nervous system knows what to do and what kind of environment
- 6:31it's going to come into, right?
- 6:33So that's not me saying drop all your appointments.
- 6:36and
- 6:37you mean you can
- 6:38Free birth it
- 6:38rebirth it up?
- 6:40No, uh, not necessarily.
- 6:42Do... You do
- 6:43do you Honestly, yeah.
- 6:45Um,
- 6:46This is not us
- 6:47but I'll say like, my midwife appointments had far, I had one ultrasound at 20 weeks.
- 6:55I had a visit at first, like for my first pregnancy.
- 6:58I was like, insulted.
- 6:59I was like, you don't wanna see me until 10 weeks, 12 weeks.
- 7:04I was like.
- 7:05But then I realized, and I, this is what I told him, I just like
- 7:08the doctor does not grow your baby.
- 7:11You know, like going to the doctor is not going to guarantee that
- 7:15you are growing a baby, right?
- 7:16Your body knows how to grow a baby.
- 7:19It's been doing that for
- 7:21centuries.
- 7:22Mm-hmm.
- 7:23Well, not yours specifically, unless you believe in reincarnation.
- 7:27I don't know.
- 7:27who you talk to.
- 7:30Anyways.
- 7:31Anyways, um.
- 7:35today.
- 7:36I guess maybe I'm getting
- 7:37Anyway, and then another thing I wanna say is all of these things that we're
- 7:41testing for all the time, the ultrasounds and the blood panels and the glucose
- 7:44for all of these dis diseases we can develop in pregnancy, like preeclampsia,
- 7:51gestational diabetes, those things.
- 7:54They all have a common link, by the way, which is oxidative
- 7:58stress, which is stress.
- 8:02So
- 8:03that's like, that might be a, that might be spicy in itself of, of
- 8:06whittling everything down to stress.
- 8:10Yeah.
- 8:11And it's like we have these physiological processes to, and I go back to this
- 8:15time and time again before I go into like the physiological processes.
- 8:18What I'm not saying, 'cause I feel like whenever the average person,
- 8:21if you have not been listening for the last couple of episodes, you
- 8:24might need this reminder of like,
- 8:26we are
- 8:27are not saying stress is the problem, right?
- 8:32Because we just, we listed a lot of things and it's like we're human, right?
- 8:35Like that's just part of.
- 8:37Of living, right, of being a human.
- 8:39What we wanna hit on is the accumulation of stress, unprocessed stress being
- 8:44stored in the nervous system that can be linked to all of these other things.
- 8:49Stress isn't the problem.
- 8:50We're not going to be like, you know, quit your job.
- 8:52We're not gonna be like, we're not gonna tell you to do anything
- 8:54different in your lifestyle.
- 8:56Your body might, I mean, I've had several people will, where it's like, Hmm,
- 8:59are we sure we wanna keep doing that?
- 9:00But what we want to offer you is that.
- 9:04The opportunity to relieve stress from the body and have choices, right?
- 9:09are we making these choices out of stress mode and survival?
- 9:12Are we making these choices out of thriving?
- 9:14And so just keep that in mind.
- 9:15It's like I feel like every time I talk to a new patient about stress,
- 9:18it's like, well then should I quit my job and go live in a hole?
- 9:20And it's like, that would also be stressful.
- 9:21So like, no, you know?
- 9:23So just hear that, and then we get into the, the physiological processes
- 9:28of how mom communicates to baby.
- 9:30We know as a society that that's through the umbilical cord, right?
- 9:33We know that that umbilical cord is vital for nutrient to delivery,
- 9:38but it's also the neurological connection between mom and baby.
- 9:42So it carries biochemical and neurological signals from your nervous system to
- 9:45your baby's developing nervous system.
- 9:47So what that means is that your stress blueprint is your baby stress Blueprint.
- 9:51And I talk about this time and time again.
- 9:52That's not a bad thing.
- 9:53That's a very good thing that there's a ver various reasons for that.
- 9:57because that is how we connect.
- 10:00To our babies.
- 10:00That is how we communicate to our babies.
- 10:02That's how the baby knows what environment it's going to be introduced into.
- 10:05Because if mom is feeling a certain way, baby's gonna learn how to navigate its
- 10:10environment through the way mom feels.
- 10:12So if Mom is processing her stress and feels more regulated
- 10:15than baby's gonna feel the same.
- 10:17I don't know.
- 10:18I feel like we've talked about this before.
- 10:20Most babies with colic also have mothers who are extremely.
- 10:24Anxious
- 10:26And, you know, you
- 10:27can get to the point where the baby releases the stress, but it might
- 10:30come back if mom's stress is still there and still showing baby, okay,
- 10:34here's how we respond to stress around us and here's how we don't.
- 10:38we just wanna have the choice on how we're expressing stress
- 10:40and what we teach to our kids.
- 10:42Because if we don't consciously make that choice, and if we're not being, conscious
- 10:46about the stress in our body, then in the body's gonna make the choice for us.
- 10:50It's always gonna choose survival over
- 10:52thriving.
- 10:52Mm-hmm.
- 10:53When you say the colic can resolve, are you saying like, with care,
- 10:59if we unwind that baby's nervous system, remove interference, and
- 11:03then mom is still dysregulated?
- 11:06We can see other signs of stress creep back in because
- 11:09they're still mirroring mom.
- 11:11Yes.
- 11:12Thank you for correcting that.
- 11:13Yes.
- 11:14Yep.
- 11:14Not correcting, just, getting
- 11:16details.
- 11:17Yeah,
- 11:17Yeah.
- 11:18yeah.
- 11:18Completing that thought.
- 11:19Yeah.
- 11:20yeah.
- 11:20'cause we don't usually, college just doesn't go away.
- 11:23Yeah.
- 11:24Right.
- 11:25It usually kind of morphs and develops into their next developmentally
- 11:30appropriate phase of how they wave red flags in their nervous system.
- 11:35Mm-hmm.
- 11:36Yeah.
- 11:36So colic turns into, you know, constipation and then
- 11:39the constipation turns into.
- 11:41Delayed milestones and then milestones turn into, you know, behavioral struggles.
- 11:46And then, yeah.
- 11:47So, so yes, uh, Dr. Serena brings up a very good point.
- 11:49It's not, I guess in the, an example I was talking about, like, mom has brought
- 11:53baby into the office to get scanned to get under care and baby's feeling great.
- 11:57And then we see that things keep creeping back up because mom herself needs to get
- 12:00under care as well, because as long as mom's nervous system is primed and prepped
- 12:05for survival, so is babies for like.
- 12:08A long time.
- 12:09I feel like it, it's quite a while before, I don't remember what like the
- 12:12actual numbers are, but I feel like even in my own experience, it's like
- 12:15until like four, I feel like you share a pretty close nervous system with your
- 12:19baby until like four, and then all of a sudden now you're, now you need to
- 12:22use your nervous system to calm theirs because it's very separate from yours.
- 12:26No.
- 12:27Yeah, I could see that.
- 12:28I have a two and a 4-year-old who, she's almost five.
- 12:32And if I am like feeling wound up and stressed, we just
- 12:36don't have as good of a day.
- 12:38Mm-hmm.
- 12:39Yeah.
- 12:39And so I have to like step back, say a little prayer,
- 12:43Mm-hmm.
- 12:44and
- 12:44then we can have a better day.
- 12:46It's usually, it's usually me.
- 12:48Yeah.
- 12:48Hi, I'm the problem.
- 12:50Yeah.
- 12:51It's like, why aren't we having fun?
- 12:54Oh,
- 12:55it's.
- 12:59Should we dive into more of the umbilical cord anatomy physiology?
- 13:04Yeah.
- 13:04Right.
- 13:04So we, yeah, like Dr. Veronica was saying, we think of like, a lot of
- 13:08us know umbilical cord and we think of like blood and nutrient delivery
- 13:13And
- 13:13so it's more than a feeding tube.
- 13:15The umbilical cord is a communication cable, so it's carrying biochemical
- 13:20and neurological signals from your nervous system to your
- 13:23baby's developing nervous system.
- 13:26So if your body's constantly in fight or flight mode, these signals
- 13:29are what's being transferred, right?
- 13:30That's a lot of how the baby's going
- 13:33receive your
- 13:36stress.
- 13:37I think there's more to it than just like this chemical.
- 13:40Physiological component, but that's what we can measure and know, is that
- 13:45your stress hormones like cortisol show up in baby's, placenta and
- 13:51bloodstream when they're elevated.
- 13:53and we can, we can measure those differences too, between like
- 13:57moms who are less stressed and then moms who are really stressed.
- 14:00Hm.
- 14:01That's why it's important.
- 14:02So yes, we've gone through like the physiology of the placenta
- 14:06and, and I just wanna talk about like a little bit of brain health.
- 14:08'cause I do feel like there's sometimes people are still like, what
- 14:10does that have to do with the brain?
- 14:11Right?
- 14:11Like chiropractic.
- 14:12Nervous system.
- 14:13I'm confused.
- 14:14Why are we talking about that?
- 14:15So when, uh, we have prenatal stress, it impacts specific brain region.
- 14:20So you've got your amygdala, which is like, I like to call the
- 14:23caveman part of your brain, right?
- 14:25Very primal, primitive.
- 14:26And it's why babies startle easily.
- 14:29So if the amygdala is overactive, babies might just be struggling to calm down and
- 14:34it will appear as if they have high needs.
- 14:36So these are like your Velcro babies.
- 14:38Now I will say there is a, a, you know, a sense of them like
- 14:42learning how to not be one with mom.
- 14:45But there is a difference between that, like bonding and
- 14:47separation and like, full on.
- 14:51Yeah.
- 14:51And a baby, right?
- 14:52It's like the baby feels scared to not be around mom versus
- 14:56just like uncomfortable, right?
- 14:58So when that amygdala is overactive, we see that with baby.
- 15:01Um, this is when it's like
- 15:04no
- 15:04matter what you do, even if you're holding the baby close to you.
- 15:08they
- 15:08can't, uh, soothe themselves, right?
- 15:11They can't, they can't even co-regulate with you.
- 15:13This is when we start to see issues, you know, like a baby who is just
- 15:17kinda going through that separation phase will not love being away from
- 15:20mom, but then when mom shows up, it.
- 15:22They should be able to kind of regulate back down these babies with high,
- 15:25overactive amygdalas are the ones who even when mom comes back, babies can't
- 15:30get themselves to go from like, I was really upset you left, and I'm still
- 15:33upset and I can't figure out how to get out of being upset, if that makes sense.
- 15:36So that's how you can tell like a baby who's just like developmentally
- 15:39going through it and a baby who's like really struggling to kind
- 15:42of find that like the calming, okay, mom's here, I can calm down.
- 15:47And then you got your hippocampus.
- 15:48So the learning and emotional re regulation capacity can be reduced if
- 15:52the hippocampus is not, working properly.
- 15:54This is like your memory center, right?
- 15:55So the hippocampus is going to essentially be like, Hey, remember
- 15:59that time we did that one thing?
- 16:00we either loved it or we hated it.
- 16:02And so when your amygdala is overactive, your hippocampus automatically labels
- 16:05experiences as negative, right?
- 16:07It's like, well, I'm upset, so it must be that my environment made me upset.
- 16:11So I don't like this environment.
- 16:12So that's what the hippocampus is.
- 16:14Then we
- 16:15we got our prefrontal cortex.
- 16:16I call this the mom of the brain.
- 16:18So this prefrontal cortex is, is one of our like best processors
- 16:22and analyzers and, integrators.
- 16:24So impulse control and emotional processing becomes harder when our
- 16:28prefrontal cortex is underworking, right?
- 16:30So the amygdala and hippocampus, well, I should say the amygdala,
- 16:33overworks in this scenario.
- 16:35The hippocampus is leaving everything as dangerous.
- 16:38Your prefrontal cortex is basically like going on vacation.
- 16:40It's like we don't know what's going on here.
- 16:42Then we got the vagus nerve, which is when the vagus nerve is not working
- 16:47properly, which usually happens when the amygdala is over at working.
- 16:51You have low tone and this affects digestion, sleep, heart rate,
- 16:54availability, and immune regulation.
- 16:56So think like how often your baby is getting sick.
- 16:59So neuro neurotransmitter systems like serotonin and dopamine, I feel like we all
- 17:03know those are like our happy hormones.
- 17:05Establish stress reactive baselines and your baby can enter
- 17:08the world already primed for sympathetic dominance if that vagus
- 17:10if that vagus
- 17:11nerve is down regulated.
- 17:13Now, I will say the amygdala, hippocampus, and prefrontal cortex, I feel like
- 17:17is more of like your, Like emotional, maybe chemical stress in the body.
- 17:21Like those things are gonna be overactive or underactive because of the stress and
- 17:25the chemicals and the environment of mom.
- 17:27The vagus nerve though, can also be influenced by that, but that's gonna
- 17:30be one of our physical, the thing that, that really kind of down like
- 17:33it downregulates from the physical stress of the birth process, right?
- 17:36Whether that's, If we had, you know, forceps or we had c-section or like that,
- 17:41the vagus nerve, is kind of affected when we have more of that physical stress.
- 17:45As far as what I've seen, I mean of all of them are affected by the three Ts, right?
- 17:50The physical, the chemical, emotional stress.
- 17:52But at least that's what I'm kind of seeing because that vagus nerve
- 17:54is right next to that C two threads through the C two, I should say.
- 17:58that is when physical, when physical stress is added on top of prenatal stress,
- 18:02that's when we're gonna see like the.
- 18:03The quad effect of the amygdala, the hippocampus, the prefrontal
- 18:07cortex, and the vagus nerve.
- 18:08Do you agree with that?
- 18:09Mm-hmm.
- 18:10Okay.
- 18:10Yeah, because some people are like, well, does my baby even
- 18:12have a prefrontal cortex yet?
- 18:14It's like, like, it's there.
- 18:16It, it's
- 18:17It doesn't just like appear.
- 18:18well, it just is like very underdeveloped.
- 18:21And so does it have a safe environment and like optimal,
- 18:26capacity to develop as they get to like men like mid twenties it seems now
- 18:31it's like they keep pushing it back.
- 18:34So you might be asking yourself like, okay, what do I do?
- 18:37With my stress, you've given me all the reasons.
- 18:40I have stress.
- 18:40You've given me, you've told me what happens when they're stressed.
- 18:43And so what people usually do when they're like, when they've experienced
- 18:47prenatal stress and now they see their child experiencing troubles digesting
- 18:53sleep, emotional regulation, uh.
- 18:55Fighting infections constantly.
- 18:57they can't settle those kinds of things.
- 18:59Families are often trying, okay, let's change the diet.
- 19:02If they can't poop, let's like push these things, supplements, sleep training,
- 19:06behavioral therapy, occupational therapy, and all these things can help.
- 19:11But if the foundation of the nervous system.
- 19:14Dysfunction isn't addressed.
- 19:16It's like remodeling a house with a crack foundation.
- 19:19And we've talked about that before, right?
- 19:20All these other therapies are wonderful, but they're operating on a really shaky,
- 19:26dysregulated, nervous system, right?
- 19:29And so our answer is we can address stress through neurologically focused
- 19:36chiropractic care, which is really gentle.
- 19:39for
- 19:39pregnancy and safe for kids, which that's like a question I get all the
- 19:42time of like, you can adjust my baby.
- 19:45Say yes.
- 19:46It's so different than your TikTok, rackum and Rackum sensationalism thing, right?
- 19:52So what we do first though is like, let's see what your nervous system is
- 19:55doing, and we have three scans that can tell us what's going on, right?
- 20:00We have insight scans that can measure is your nervous system stuck in fight
- 20:04or flight, or are you adaptable?
- 20:06Is it suppressed?
- 20:08Are you really exhausted and fatigued and worn out and you
- 20:11can't even push on the gas pedal?
- 20:12Right?
- 20:13So what's your adaptability look like and where are you holding onto that stress
- 20:16in your body, which can tell us how to most optimally unwind what's going on?
- 20:21Right?
- 20:22So when inter interference is removed, when we remove all of that noise and dis.
- 20:29Ease in your system.
- 20:31We can restore balance to your brain.
- 20:34'cause we can tell your brain that it's safe and it doesn't have to be operating
- 20:37in that, caveman dad brain mode and it can tap into that mom of the brain.
- 20:44And you can do this in pregnancy, right?
- 20:46If you're feeling.
- 20:47Like you're really overwhelmed right now in pregnancy and struggling
- 20:51with digestion and sleep, and you're starting to develop warning signs of,
- 20:56preeclampsia and gestational diabetes.
- 20:59We can regulate your nervous system now and that can serve
- 21:02your baby even after they're born.
- 21:05Right?
- 21:06And if it's your baby who's struggling, let's get him.
- 21:09Mm-hmm.
- 21:09Yeah.
- 21:10I wanna hit on, uh, DR was like, this is not your normal Rackham
- 21:13Raum chiropractic for kids.
- 21:15but I also want you to know that we take that same approach with.
- 21:18Everyone, right?
- 21:19Like I guarantee you the kind of chiropractic you experience in our offices
- 21:23is going to be very different than most streamlined chiropractic because we're
- 21:27there, we're never a rack raum office.
- 21:29Right.
- 21:29So I feel like if a, if a parent is ever like, is this safe for my kid?
- 21:32There's a part of them that's like, I. I don't really think I
- 21:35wanna receive something like that.
- 21:36So why would I have my kid do it?
- 21:38Um, and that's fair.
- 21:39Some of the, the techniques I've seen out there make me cringe and
- 21:42I know what they're doing right?
- 21:43So like I totally understand that fear.
- 21:45but I always like to tell people, one, I can adapt how.
- 21:50I approach your care.
- 21:51So it's very, very communicative.
- 21:53It's very, very, like, if you don't like how this was performed or if you
- 21:57don't like a certain adjustment, we can work around it for the most part.
- 22:00especially as I work on building trust with you and get it to know your body.
- 22:04And it's, it's a very customized, very gentle, very specific
- 22:06approach, special to you.
- 22:07How I adjust you is very different from how I just, someone else, just depending
- 22:10on your tone, your comfortability, your body type, your build, your, you
- 22:14know, nervous system patterns and you know, we approach you where you're at.
- 22:19And so for the mom who's listening to this, who is stressed out, who is
- 22:22anxious and doesn't really want someone like yanking and cracking on her neck,
- 22:26most likely you have an overactivity that the scans are gonna pick up.
- 22:29And we're not gonna be doing that anyways.
- 22:31Right?
- 22:31So just know that like.
- 22:32It's a very, very different style of chiropractic.
- 22:35Still chiropractic.
- 22:35All chiropractic is great.
- 22:37but we still take a different approach to meet your body with where it's at, instead
- 22:40of adding more stress to it through an an
- 22:43and something that I, information I take for granted.
- 22:45This is like the simplest thing.
- 22:47Some women are like, well, I can't get adjusted because of my big
- 22:50belly, so how would I even do that?
- 22:51It's like, oh, we have pillows.
- 22:53We have little donut pillows that you can lay on your belly and not put pressure on
- 22:57your belly so you can get adjusted, which.
- 23:00Yeah.
- 23:01And like to me that's like obviously, but so many of them are
- 23:03like, oh, this is game changing.
- 23:06And it's like their favorite part actually.
- 23:09Yeah.
- 23:09You get to lay face down on your bet.
- 23:11On your, yeah, on your belly.
- 23:12It's like the only time you gotta do that.
