- 0:00Speaker 1: Yeah, this is Mark simonshell on sevent tenor Well, we
- 0:12Speaker 1: got a lot to get to today. We'll get to
- 0:13Speaker 1: the latest don the gu three situation. We'll get to
- 0:16Speaker 1: President Trump, We'll get to the police commissioner making some changes.
- 0:20Speaker 1: We'll get to the Super Bowl, We'll get to bad
- 0:22Speaker 1: Bunny and a whole lot more. You got forty degrees today,
- 0:26Speaker 1: it'll be forty today. This will really start melting the snow.
- 0:29Speaker 1: You'll really start to get rid of it today, and
- 0:31Speaker 1: then it's going to stay upper thirties and then maybe
- 0:34Speaker 1: forty over the weekend. So by Sunday Monday, all the
- 0:37Speaker 1: snow should be gone once and for all. Hey, you
- 0:40Speaker 1: are only thirty seven days till spring. That's five weeks,
- 0:45Speaker 1: five weeks until spring begins. Spring training today, teams doing
- 0:50Speaker 1: their first work at today, so we're getting there almost
- 0:53Speaker 1: through the winter. Jobs numbers came out this morning, very
- 0:58Speaker 1: very very good, expecting about sixty new jobs. Who've got
- 1:02Speaker 1: one hundred and thirty thousand new jobs, Very very good
- 1:07Speaker 1: numbers for the economy. Wages are up, inflation is down,
- 1:12Speaker 1: the big beautiful bills starting to kick in economy, improving
- 1:17Speaker 1: Dow way over fifty thousand. Average wages is for workers
- 1:21Speaker 1: up a couple thousand this year, and for the first
- 1:25Speaker 1: time in a few years, wages are going up much
- 1:29Speaker 1: much faster than inflation, So that's good news. The Guthrie kidnapping, well,
- 1:35Speaker 1: I'm sure you've seen the doorbell camera. The few things
- 1:41Speaker 1: that are obvious. They're not the most elaborate professional kidnapping.
- 1:46Speaker 1: This one slow bumbling sort of guy who gets there
- 1:50Speaker 1: and looks surprised to see that doorbell camera there and
- 1:55Speaker 1: looks at it, and the fact that he was surprised
- 1:58Speaker 1: by it is now telling him that maybe maybe there
- 2:01Speaker 1: wasn't a lot of casing the place first, or surveillance first,
- 2:05Speaker 1: or knowing the place really well before they got there.
- 2:09Speaker 1: Now the guy is bundled up like crazy. He has
- 2:13Speaker 1: covered head to toe in You remember, this is Tucson, Arizona,
- 2:16Speaker 1: where it's very warm. Why would anybody have what looks like,
- 2:19Speaker 1: you know, he's going skiing or something. It looks like
- 2:21Speaker 1: he's an Antarctica bundled up in this puffy, you know,
- 2:25Speaker 1: winter type outfit, obviously trying not to leave any DNA
- 2:31Speaker 1: on the scenes, big puffy gloves over his hands, face
- 2:34Speaker 1: covered except for the mouth and the eyes. But all
- 2:38Speaker 1: of that covering up means, besides hiding his identity, trying
- 2:42Speaker 1: not to leave any DNA in the house. But here's
- 2:45Speaker 1: the thing. It's Tucson, Arizona, where it's very warm, and
- 2:48Speaker 1: if you're bundled up in heavy, heavy clothes like that,
- 2:51Speaker 1: you're gonna sweat, and you're probably gonna sweat a lot.
- 2:55Speaker 1: So investigators are back in the house right now as
- 2:58Speaker 1: we speak, looking for sweat, looking for they want to
- 3:02Speaker 1: get DNA off. This person covered himself up so he
- 3:04Speaker 1: wouldn't leave any DNA, but if he dropped one beat
- 3:07Speaker 1: of sweat anywhere, that's got the DNA in it. So
- 3:09Speaker 1: they're looking for that right now as we speak. They
- 3:13Speaker 1: did detain somebody last night. Now apparently they're looking carefully
- 3:17Speaker 1: at anybody that was in the house, workers of any
- 3:20Speaker 1: kind that were doing work in the house. So there
- 3:23Speaker 1: was one they stopped last night. They've let him go.
- 3:25Speaker 1: Apparently he's totally innocent. They do say off the record,
- 3:29Speaker 1: they got a couple persons of interest they're still looking at. Now.
- 3:34Speaker 1: What took so long to get that footage, the doorbell
- 3:36Speaker 1: camera footage. You should have seen that the first did
- 3:38Speaker 1: well she has is it nester, is it an Amazon camera?
- 3:43Speaker 1: Whatever it is, you gotta have a subscription to have
- 3:48Speaker 1: the footage stored. You can see it live, but if
- 3:53Speaker 1: you want it stored and saved, you have to pay
- 3:55Speaker 1: for the subscription, which is something like one hundred dollars
- 3:58Speaker 1: a year. She didn't subscribe, didn't have the subscription. So,
- 4:01Speaker 1: as we kept hearing, none of the surveillance video was saved,
- 4:05Speaker 1: none of it. However, this is not the local authorities now,
- 4:08Speaker 1: this is the FEDS. This is the FBI, federal government.
- 4:12Speaker 1: President Trump has sent all of the resources he can send.
- 4:15Speaker 1: These guys are highly sophisticated. So even though with it
- 4:20Speaker 1: Google or whoever I think was Google the company, but
- 4:23Speaker 1: they didn't save the footage. But these guys were able
- 4:27Speaker 1: to go into servers and find the footage even though
- 4:31Speaker 1: it's deleted off of Google. It goes somewhere into some
- 4:34Speaker 1: server and it takes very, very sophisticated work to find it,
- 4:39Speaker 1: but they found it. That's how they got it. Now
- 4:44Speaker 1: there are some people might get a little shake of
- 4:47Speaker 1: surprise that because they got that doorbell cameraon, they're carefully
- 4:50Speaker 1: deleting their footage for whatever reason. Now, they find out
- 4:54Speaker 1: it could be recovered by law enforcement if they absolutely
- 4:57Speaker 1: had to. So it took a while to get it.
- 5:00Speaker 1: What to get deleted footage, you got to go through
- 5:03Speaker 1: every possible back end server, look through everything, probably have
- 5:08Speaker 1: to look through millions of hours to find this. It
- 5:10Speaker 1: was not easy. Took incredible manpower to do it. Again,
- 5:14Speaker 1: that's something the locals couldn't have done. So off the record,
- 5:20Speaker 1: these the Feds are saying they got a couple of
- 5:23Speaker 1: persons of interest. There's a couple of people they're looking at.
- 5:26Speaker 1: They said, things are different in this kidnapping from a
- 5:28Speaker 1: normal case. Normally a ransom note letter would be sent
- 5:32Speaker 1: to the family. In this case, they're being sent to
- 5:34Speaker 1: the local TV station. Savannah Guthrie, course, works for the
- 5:39Speaker 1: NBC network here in New York. So why weren't the
- 5:42Speaker 1: ransom notes sent to NBC if you decided to send
- 5:45Speaker 1: them to television? Why the local two Sound station. Well,
- 5:49Speaker 1: that suggests that the kidnappers are local two Sound people
- 5:52Speaker 1: and familiar with that station. Also, the other thing is,
- 5:56Speaker 1: normally you'd send something, some proof of life. You'd send
- 6:01Speaker 1: a picture of the victim kidnapped, You'd send a picture
- 6:04Speaker 1: of her tied up, you'd send a recording something. They
- 6:07Speaker 1: haven't done anything like that. Now, they did want six
- 6:11Speaker 1: million in bitcoin. They gave the bitcoin account, and people
- 6:16Speaker 1: looking at that bitcoin account have seen activity. Now yesterday
- 6:20Speaker 1: or the day before, they saw three hundred dollars go
- 6:22Speaker 1: into it. That's usually what the FBI or law enforcement
- 6:26Speaker 1: will do to track you down. You can track down crypto.
- 6:29Speaker 1: It can be done, and one of the first steps
- 6:32Speaker 1: you send a small amount of money into the account
- 6:35Speaker 1: and you can follow it through the blockchain. You can
- 6:38Speaker 1: follow it to see where it lands. You can scrape
- 6:41Speaker 1: bits of stuff off the different places it goes through,
- 6:44Speaker 1: so you may see another exchange or two for a
- 6:47Speaker 1: couple hundred bucks. That's them tracking it. But believe it
- 6:50Speaker 1: or not, you can track crypto.
- 6:53Speaker 2: Now.
- 6:54Speaker 1: This could cause a drop in some of those crypto
- 6:56Speaker 1: stocks in a week or two, when all of a
- 6:57Speaker 1: sudden they realize criminals or whoever's you using it for
- 7:00Speaker 1: shady purposes, you hedge fund guys, They may start to
- 7:04Speaker 1: realize it is traceable and that might cause a little
- 7:08Speaker 1: drop in crypto use coming up. So we'll keep following
- 7:12Speaker 1: it for you. We'll let you know if anything breaks.
- 7:14Speaker 1: This could happen at any time. They could announce something
- 7:17Speaker 1: at any time. The Epstein case, well, you can go
- 7:22Speaker 1: through these files over and over and most of it
- 7:24Speaker 1: is pretty boring. The Prince Andrew stuff is juicy, The
- 7:27Speaker 1: Bill Clinton stuff is juicy, but the rest of it
- 7:29Speaker 1: is nothing. They have been trying to go after Howard Lutnik.
- 7:34Speaker 1: They got him in Congress. He had a testify in
- 7:36Speaker 1: front of Congress. Here's a guy who had almost no
- 7:39Speaker 1: relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. Here's the White House Press Secretary.
- 7:44Speaker 3: Secretary. Lotnik remains a very important member of President Trump's team,
- 7:48Speaker 3: and the president fully supports the secretary.
- 7:50Speaker 1: Yeah, now they want him fired because all he did
- 7:52Speaker 1: was one time he had lunch with Epstein. Now, if
- 7:56Speaker 1: you're going to fire people that had lunch with Epstein,
- 7:58Speaker 1: well that's every major figure on Wall Street. That's about
- 8:01Speaker 1: twenty five world leaders. That's a lot of prominent people.
- 8:06Speaker 1: A lot of people have had lunch with Epstein. Now,
- 8:09Speaker 1: the reason Lutnick got involved with Epstein, he didn't really
- 8:11Speaker 1: get involved with him, but the only reason he knew him.
- 8:14Speaker 1: Lutnick bought a house in Manhattan. He was married and
- 8:19Speaker 1: his kids and he bought a big townhouse on seventy
- 8:22Speaker 1: first Street, and the house next door, which literally touches
- 8:26Speaker 1: his house. They share a wall together. The house next
- 8:30Speaker 1: door was Jeffrey Epstein, so at some point he got
- 8:32Speaker 1: to know his neighbor. They talked. At one point Epstein said,
- 8:35Speaker 1: you want to see my house, and he came and
- 8:36Speaker 1: looked around the house, and then they started to exchange emails,
- 8:40Speaker 1: very very few emails. I think it was like eight
- 8:44Speaker 1: emails over four years. So it's not really a relationship.
- 8:48Speaker 1: And at one point and Epstein would invite everybody to
- 8:51Speaker 1: his house in Palm Beach, to his house in New York,
- 8:53Speaker 1: wherever he was, the island down in the Bahamas, And
- 8:57Speaker 1: turned out Lutnick was down there in the Bahamas, big
- 9:01Speaker 1: vacation week. He was with his family. And Epstein keeps
- 9:05Speaker 1: it stop by for lunch, stop by the island for lunch.
- 9:07Speaker 1: So one day he does stop by the island for lunch,
- 9:10Speaker 1: but he came to lunch. He was there for an hour.
- 9:13Speaker 1: When he came to lunch, he had with him his wife,
- 9:15Speaker 1: his kids, and two nannies. Now, some people think that
- 9:20Speaker 1: when you're testifying, just say a nanny. Don't say two nannies.
- 9:24Speaker 1: You sound too elitist when you have to have two
- 9:26Speaker 1: nannies for your kids. But this is him and Mike Johnson.
- 9:31Speaker 1: The Speaker was asking, well, shouldn't he resign? Everybody wants
- 9:33Speaker 1: him to resign.
- 9:34Speaker 3: How Flutnick is a great commerce secretary to an extraordinary
- 9:38Speaker 3: job for the country.
- 9:39Speaker 2: And Thomas Massey.
- 9:40Speaker 1: Should stuff again again. If you had to resign for
- 9:43Speaker 1: having lunch with Epstein, that would be half the CEOs
- 9:47Speaker 1: in New York, about twenty world leaders. In fact, Epstein
- 9:51Speaker 1: was always having people come to his house for lunch,
- 9:54Speaker 1: and a lot of times, by the way, you have
- 9:55Speaker 1: to have every college president of every major university resigned
- 9:59Speaker 1: because they we were all constantly having lunch at Epstein's house.
- 10:02Speaker 1: One reason is he was a big donor. Now why
- 10:05Speaker 1: would all these guys get Well, he had what they
- 10:07Speaker 1: call check's appeal. He would write your check. He would
- 10:11Speaker 1: donate millions to a college. If you had some charity,
- 10:13Speaker 1: he'd write He write a check just like that, as
- 10:16Speaker 1: I mentioned Dick Cabot, and he wanted somebody to finance
- 10:19Speaker 1: his a PBS special, an American Master Special four hundred
- 10:23Speaker 1: and eighty thousand. Epstein wrote the check just like that.
- 10:27Speaker 1: So if that's all he wants in exchange, come to lunch,
- 10:29Speaker 1: come to dinner, you do it. And here's Lutnick he
- 10:33Speaker 1: had to testify about this, about this visit.
- 10:36Speaker 3: When you visited the private island? Did do you see
- 10:40Speaker 3: anything inappropriate during that visit?
- 10:45Speaker 2: The only thing I saw with my wife and my
- 10:49Speaker 2: children and the other couple and their children was staff
- 10:54Speaker 2: who worked for mister Epstein on that island.
- 10:58Speaker 1: Yeah, that's all. It was. An hour boat pulled up,
- 11:01Speaker 1: got off, had lunch with Epstein. There was another couple
- 11:04Speaker 1: with their kids, a lot of kids there, and that
- 11:07Speaker 1: was it.
- 11:07Speaker 3: Did you in fact make the visit to Jeffrey Epstein's
- 11:11Speaker 3: private island?
- 11:13Speaker 2: I did have lunch with him, as I was on
- 11:16Speaker 2: a boat going across on a family vacation. My wife
- 11:20Speaker 2: was with me, as were my four children and nanny's.
- 11:24Speaker 2: I had another couple. They were there as well with
- 11:29Speaker 2: their children, and we had lunch on the island.
- 11:33Speaker 1: That's it pretty simple. Now, what can we learn from this, Well,
- 11:36Speaker 1: don't invite Howard Lutnick to lunch, because look at this guy.
- 11:39Speaker 1: He brings four kids with him, he brings his wife,
- 11:42Speaker 1: he brings another couple with kids. He brings two nannies.
- 11:45Speaker 1: You invite the guy to lunch, all of a sudden,
- 11:46Speaker 1: it takes twelve seats. I mean, so don't invite him
- 11:49Speaker 1: to lunch. But he's a nice guy. I don't think
- 11:51Speaker 1: there's anything there. Listen, there's a lot of people I know.
- 11:56Speaker 1: There's a guy I know who's almost another Howard Lutnik.
- 11:58Speaker 1: He's a big hedge fund chairman. I don't really know
- 12:02Speaker 1: the guy, but he always invites me to parties at
- 12:04Speaker 1: his house. And he has great parties, all fine people.
- 12:07Speaker 1: I've been to three or four of them, and I
- 12:11Speaker 1: don't know the guy. I never talked to the guy
- 12:12Speaker 1: more than five seconds of my whole life. So the
- 12:14Speaker 1: fact that he stopped by with twelve people for lunch,
- 12:18Speaker 1: it's pretty harmless, pretty innocent. Now, when you get to
- 12:22Speaker 1: Bill Clinton, that's another matter. Because Bill Clinton was heavily
- 12:27Speaker 1: involved financially with Epstein, so is Hillary. It looks like
- 12:32Speaker 1: Epstein was the guy who helped launch and fund and
- 12:34Speaker 1: start the Clinton Foundation. The Clinton Global Initiative was a
- 12:38Speaker 1: big Epstein project, and he gave tons of money to
- 12:41Speaker 1: the Clintons and Clinton did a lot of stuff for Epstein.
- 12:47Speaker 1: Epstein is trying. He's a fixer who tries to open
- 12:50Speaker 1: doors in other countries for business. And if you're having
- 12:53Speaker 1: a problem there in India, why Bill Clinton can call
- 12:57Speaker 1: the president of India. He can call the head of
- 12:59Speaker 1: any country, tree, heads of state. They all loved Bill Clinton.
- 13:02Speaker 1: He can get you right into the President's office, right
- 13:04Speaker 1: into the Prime Minister's office. And he did that kind
- 13:07Speaker 1: of stuff for him. But it looked like, unlike these
- 13:10Speaker 1: other people, with Bill Clinton, there was a lot of socializing.
- 13:13Speaker 1: There's Bill Clinton in the pool with some women. There's
- 13:16Speaker 1: Bill Clinton in the hot tub with some women, now
- 13:19Speaker 1: not underage, not underage. Bill Clinton preferred older women, but
- 13:23Speaker 1: there were plenty of them around. So it's now you
- 13:26Speaker 1: can go to the Epstein files. By the way, just
- 13:29Speaker 1: google Epstein files. It'll take you to the DOJ website
- 13:32Speaker 1: where it's called the Epstein Library. There's a search bar.
- 13:36Speaker 1: You can search any name you want. And it's fascinating
- 13:40Speaker 1: to read the emails of some of these people. And
- 13:43Speaker 1: the first thing you're going to think is why the
- 13:44Speaker 1: hell did they put all this in writing? But they're
- 13:46Speaker 1: writing back and forth about everything. All the Epstein's emails
- 13:50Speaker 1: are up there, all of his texts, all of his
- 13:52Speaker 1: credit card bills. It's fascinating to read. Hey, the super
- 13:55Speaker 1: Bowl second highest audience ever, one hundred and twenty five
- 14:01Speaker 1: million viewers. Super Bowl second highest audience ever, one hundred
- 14:05Speaker 1: and twenty five million, and there were a lot of
- 14:07Speaker 1: people tuned in just to see Bad Bunny. That was
- 14:10Speaker 1: the peak. Because when Bad Bunny did his halftime show
- 14:14Speaker 1: over one hundred and twenty eight million, we're watching one
- 14:16Speaker 1: hundred and twenty eight million. Now, it's not the highest
- 14:19Speaker 1: halftime Kendrick Lamar got one hundred and thirty three million,
- 14:23Speaker 1: but big, big reviews for big numbers, big ratings for
- 14:28Speaker 1: Bad Bunny, which I thought it was pretty good. I mean,
- 14:31Speaker 1: one thing he said, I couldn't understand what he was singing.
- 14:33Speaker 1: But hey, when I listen to the radio half the
- 14:36Speaker 1: artist singing, I don't understand what they're saying. Anyway, even
- 14:38Speaker 1: when they speak English, you can't always understand the lyrics.
- 14:41Speaker 1: But it was a colorful, lively sort of halftime show.
- 14:45Speaker 1: Now you know the Real Housewives in New York, You
- 14:47Speaker 1: remember the original cast, Jill Zarin, Ramona Singer, Sonia Morgan,
- 14:54Speaker 1: the Countess. They were the original Real Housewives in New York.
- 14:57Speaker 1: They're all these old hags. Now they're down in Palm Beach.
- 15:00Speaker 1: So they were going to do a big comeback show.
- 15:03Speaker 1: Bravo was gonna be a it's a big show. It's
- 15:05Speaker 1: coming in the fall. Original cast of the Real Housewives
- 15:08Speaker 1: in New York. They're all back, but Jill Zarin has
- 15:13Speaker 1: been fired. She was fired yesterday because after the Bad
- 15:16Speaker 1: Bunny thing, she put up this video ranting and raving
- 15:19Speaker 1: about bad Bunny. Now here's the problem these And I
- 15:24Speaker 1: know most of these Real Housewives, or I used to
- 15:26Speaker 1: know them. I stopped talking to all of them. They're
- 15:29Speaker 1: just horrible to be around. They're really really shallow people,
- 15:32Speaker 1: really tacky, not very bright. And when you're a you know, Abbie,
- 15:38Speaker 1: she's one of those, and you're not that bright. Some
- 15:41Speaker 1: of those, how are you? Some of those are pretty bright.
- 15:43Speaker 1: These people not bright. These are low IQ people. So
- 15:47Speaker 1: she's whenever low IQ people like that try to talk
- 15:49Speaker 1: about anything political, anything in the news, they sound like
- 15:53Speaker 1: absolute morons. And she was talking about bad Bunny and
- 15:58Speaker 1: sounded like an imbecile and ranting and raving, and she's
- 16:02Speaker 1: being called a racist. She said at one point, why
- 16:05Speaker 1: would I know white people? How come no white people?
- 16:07Speaker 1: And it just sounded awful. They fired her immediately. In fact,
- 16:11Speaker 1: most of the real housewives of all those different cities
- 16:14Speaker 1: have come out and condemned her. In her defense, she
- 16:19Speaker 1: it sounded racist, but she may not be a racist
- 16:22Speaker 1: because I did know her. She is a babbling idiot,
- 16:25Speaker 1: not very bright. So and again, when people like that
- 16:29Speaker 1: try to talk about anything political, they get themselves into trouble.
- 16:32Speaker 1: But she has been fired and that's it. You know,
- 16:37Speaker 1: her family, her husband had a big business, Zaren Fabrics.
- 16:41Speaker 1: It's a huge company, big, one of the top fabric companies.
- 16:44Speaker 1: But I guess they sold it. She has no connection
- 16:47Speaker 1: to it now. So even Zaren Fabrics on their website,
- 16:50Speaker 1: on their Instagram put up a big notice we have
- 16:53Speaker 1: nothing to do with this woman. We don't know this woman,
- 16:55Speaker 1: we never heard of this woman. Pretty bad for her, Hey,
- 16:59Speaker 1: we'll take some calls next. Eight hundred three two one
- 17:02Speaker 1: zero seven ten is the number. Eight hundred three two
- 17:06Speaker 1: one zero seven ten.
