In Trussville, Alabama, Ron Burkett turned his front lawn into a 52-foot-tall bald eagle sculpture to celebrate America’s 250th birthday — complete with “USA 250” and crafted using drones, tennis balls, and wooden planks. Inspired by a maritime event in New Orleans, this patriotic art project is his way of honoring American freedoms, not politics. It’s his second big yard installation — last year he power-washed a Statue of Liberty and Air Force jets onto his driveway — proving that patriotism can be both bold and beautifully absurd.
