- 0:00I'm going to make a lachaim to you guys.
- 0:01This is Lachaim to some of the founders of Arshlomo Guten
- 0:06Khodash. I mean, it's pretty apropos that
- 0:08you guys are here on Rushkhodash, right?
- 0:10That's his. That's his word.
- 0:11Apropos. Yeah, that's your word.
- 0:13That's his word. Do you have a word?
- 0:16Only words that he can spell. Word.
- 0:18Word facetious. Facetious.
- 0:22Nice. That's a good word.
- 0:24I have a proclivity to be facetious.
- 0:25Oh my God. Proclivity is that.
- 0:28Is that a real word? Yeah.
- 0:30Stop it. No, but tell him.
- 0:32This guy? Come on.
- 0:33Kidding me? Proclivity.
- 0:34Proclivity. David, What's proclivity?
- 0:39Proclivity is. You know what?
- 0:41I think he should go for that explanation too, no?
- 0:43No, we need you. We need.
- 0:45Myself and David, we grew up in Brooklyn.
- 0:46We don't know how to spell past 6th grade so.
- 0:48I think proclivity is a tendency.
- 0:50A tendency. Yeah.
- 0:52Like a tendency to do something correct, OK.
- 0:54So it's like a Natia A? What?
- 0:57Natia I. Don't know what Natia is.
- 1:00A tendency? Oh.
- 1:04All right, it's going to be fun. All right, let's get started.
- 1:09Welcome back, everybody to another incredible episode of
- 1:14the None of Your Business podcast.
- 1:16I'm your host, Michael Greenfield.
- 1:17Today is a very special episode. I am here with the founders of R
- 1:21Shlomo. I, I, I feel like I should say
- 1:24it again. You know I won't like that,
- 1:26right? I'm not getting that.
- 1:28I'm here with the founders of R Shlomo.
- 1:31Yeah, yeah. Eric Santer.
- 1:35OK. It's the marketing guy behind
- 1:37this tunic center. We'll get what's that?
- 1:39It says it in the Yamaka. Yeah, it says on the shirts, on
- 1:41the Yamakas and the underwear, I'm sure.
- 1:43And one day it'll be on our wall next to thank you.
- 1:45If you have a sticker, it'll go on our wall.
- 1:47Where's the Ask Tomer sticker? That's what that's my commitment
- 1:50to you. So guys, we have David Stein
- 1:52behind the scenes. David and I knew each other
- 1:55since Brooklyn and we'll get into that in a minute.
- 1:57We have Abe race, Avrama Levy, Famous Race, Brothers of Muncie
- 2:03excited, Shmili Indig and of the Indig family, the Indig excited
- 2:10to get into it. Thank you to our subscribers,
- 2:12our comments. We'll get more into that at the
- 2:13end. We just want to get right into
- 2:15it right now, guys. Arsh Lomo Mamas changed my life.
- 2:20It Mamas changed my life. Do you get that a lot?
- 2:23Mamas changed my life. Yeah, it keeps on changing our
- 2:26lives. It's not something that we we
- 2:32planned on. It just happens every day.
- 2:35It happens, it evolves. It's like it's like the world
- 2:41gets recreated every day or Shalom will just happens.
- 2:46Wow, OK, I like it. I want to go back a minute to
- 2:50something that happened to me yesterday.
- 2:51I met a group of seven guys and we were at an event called the
- 2:58Spot 42 event. You guys ever go there?
- 3:01You ever unwind and go to Spot 42?
- 3:04Sure. Yeah, that's.
- 3:07Amazing spot. Amazing, amazing spot.
- 3:10For those of you that don't know, it's a hidden gem in
- 3:12Monroe, NY. A guy owns a house, bought acres
- 3:15behind him, turned it into an enclave.
- 3:18A beautiful resort style spa, schvitz, men's Playhouse, and he
- 3:26designs it with animals and greenery and it's just
- 3:28fantastic. I mean, what's your favorite
- 3:30part about that place? Guys?
- 3:32Restaurant. The food is delicious.
- 3:34Food's delicious. True.
- 3:36I like the swimming pool that it's big and heated always.
- 3:38I'll be honest. I don't think I've ever been in
- 3:40the pool. Yeah, I don't think I've ever
- 3:41been in the pool either. I swim guys.
- 3:43That's that's my thing, but it no, it's, it's a pretty cool
- 3:49place. It happens to be.
- 3:50Amazing. Yeah, it's.
- 3:51Five to seven hours over there. I go from 11:00 to 11:00.
- 3:55Yeah. Yeah, yeah, I, I work from there
- 3:57all day. So, and I recommend anyone that
- 3:59wants to unplug, and I'm sorry, I recommend everyone to unplug
- 4:03and unwind. And if you want a place to do it
- 4:05for $100 for the entire day where you can have a restaurant
- 4:08and make new friends, Spa 42 is the place to be.
- 4:11You can't even find it on Google, by the way.
- 4:13It's like a hidden gem, so. So if you want to unplug and
- 4:17then plug in to work all day. 11 to 11, very good David, thank
- 4:22you. 11 to 11 is because I start from 11:00 to like 2-3 o'clock
- 4:27and I get my work done and then I, you know, I'm gradually go
- 4:30back and forth. What do you say you sit in the
- 4:32upstairs all upstairs. Nice.
- 4:35I think that I have to say that's sort of like how I I like
- 4:38to live my life. I'm curious about how you guys
- 4:39live yours. I want to get into that, which
- 4:42is I'm always on, right? So it's just that I know how to
- 4:45turn off and then go back on and turn off anyway.
- 4:47So I'm, I'm an environment of a pool or a spa or a beach or
- 4:52anywhere, a lounge, a coffee house, right?
- 4:54So it's just you can unwind, shut your phone off for an hour
- 4:57completely given to your surroundings, right?
- 5:03So I met these guys there and a group of seven guys and they
- 5:06were all friends, all seven of them.
- 5:09And they invited me to be the 11th.
- 5:12Why do I say 11th? Because they already have a
- 5:13group of 10 friends and they're all into it spiritually.
- 5:16How they're a million of friends and they feed off each other's
- 5:18energies and they help each other.
- 5:20And I said I, I said like I wasn't even ashamed of it.
- 5:23And I said, guys, I don't need it.
- 5:25I have Orschlomo and they're like, what's Orslomo?
- 5:28And I'm like, it's what you have here, but on a higher level
- 5:31spiritually with more people like minded.
- 5:34And it's something that just doesn't get turned on just for
- 5:36rush Kodesh. It's like a lifetime of thing,
- 5:38but being at Rosh Khodesh is tomorrow, I want to hear from
- 5:41one of you guys who was the first person to get involved in
- 5:44Orschelomo. How did this Orscheloddish thing
- 5:45come aboard, come about? Just which one of you?
- 5:48Abe. Abe.
- 5:50So Orschelomo started really as a as a Karl Bachmannian in in
- 5:55Pomona. Michael Most Michael Most.
- 5:57Yeah, 2005 shout out. And it's gone through many
- 6:03different stages over the years and different people who it's
- 6:06because it's not like anyone. It's not a one person show.
- 6:09It's a Hashem show. So it's it's been gone through
- 6:14many different from Michael to where were we?
- 6:20Second Aaron Cohen. Aaron Cohen.
- 6:22Aaron Cohen. Aaron Cohen, by the way, shout
- 6:24out to Aaron. Before he moved to Israel, he
- 6:26spoke only Hebrew. You guys remember this?
- 6:29Well, you have to speak Hebrew if you want to be a cop.
- 6:32He's a cop there. Get out of here.
- 6:33In Renana. He's a local, Yeah.
- 6:36He joined the Javier of Renana. That's amazing.
- 6:39I love that for him. He's a.
- 6:40Real cover. Yeah, so then we love him.
- 6:44So then Aaron got involved right in a trans.
- 6:46Aaron I'm I'm this is really like we're was hosted, I guess
- 6:49right the. Idea came from what?
- 6:51What was the concept to begin with the concept?
- 6:53Was Michael moved in and he was very interrupt Shlomo and he
- 6:59used to slept me to dabble with him in other shoes and then
- 7:05really started one week in a fellow by by Harold Weber one
- 7:15week. How do I used to host a Friday
- 7:17night minion every week. One week he was out of town.
- 7:20We ended up dabbing him by somebody else.
- 7:22I slept Michael. He's like, I'll come if it's a
- 7:24callback minion. And then that kind of rolled
- 7:28into once a month, that once a month davening Friday night,
- 7:32which probably after one month became an every week thing.
- 7:37And his wife graciously opened her house and we were davining
- 7:41there for years. What?
- 7:42Was the common denominator between everyone joining
- 7:44throughout the process of the growth of.
- 7:46Don't forget Steve Sklars, sorry.
- 7:47Yeah, I didn't go through all the sure.
- 7:49There were many others. I mean, they got involved.
- 7:51There's only a few places that we were davining at.
- 7:54Irrelevant to that, I'm curious about the common denominator
- 7:56that everyone shared. What was anyone looking for?
- 7:58What was everyone getting from comic theater?
- 8:00What would you say? Singing.
- 8:02Singing. Singing Tashem Davining should
- 8:04be singing, said It's enjoyable, said it's It changed my life.
- 8:07I mean, I started when I from when I started davening Nisar
- 8:12Shlomo Friday night. It was a game changer.
- 8:14You just say Nisar Shlomo. Yeah, you did.
- 8:17You coin that phrase. No.
- 8:19Someone else had that. At some point, somebody, I'm
- 8:21sure I. Mean Nisar Shlomo.
- 8:23What is Nisar Shlomo? If you had to say it?
- 8:24Like explain. What it is Shlomo had a unique
- 8:27way of davening where everything was singing.
- 8:29I don't, I, I, I don't know that I can actually say what it is.
- 8:33I know from my perspective it's, I'm, I guess 'cause Benzino
- 8:38Solomon and sons put out an album, 2 albums, Friday night
- 8:42davening and Shabbos day that was yeah, I took those, I
- 8:47studied them and I learned how to, I learned the different
- 8:51Laguna and do. You have a black book on these
- 8:54things. There's no black book.
- 8:56No, it's white. You have the white book on this
- 9:00though. You have a book of songs and
- 9:02stuff that you know your go TOS like you have that.
- 9:06I have little cards that I use a lot.
- 9:08Are you diving for them in tomorrow, for example?
- 9:11So tell me like just take us through the dividing for those
- 9:14that don't know, if you don't mind for a quick second.
- 9:17I can't tell you necessarily no good and that we're going to
- 9:20use, which is actually something we've been discussing recently
- 9:23is that a lot of the Shabbos and the good and we've started using
- 9:25during the week and to me I'm like, I want something different
- 9:29for Shabbos. I say I cause I don't know about
- 9:33everybody else. I can't answer for anyone else.
- 9:34But like the the difference between weekday and Shabbos is
- 9:39stark. But then I tell myself that
- 9:41we're entering young school of Shabbos, so it's OK.
- 9:44But yeah, but I don't know. I I try to spend different times
- 9:49during the week to listen to listen to music.
- 9:53That way it has an influence and when I'm dabbling different, I
- 9:57know. The answer to this, but for our
- 9:59listeners, if you don't mind me breaking it down for a second,
- 10:01what's the first thing you guys sing in the morning?
- 10:03Come in with Ani. When is everyone starting to get
- 10:06into it? Yeah, that's amazing guys.
- 10:47But that's when you start in the beginning, that's.
- 10:49When? You get into shul.
- 10:50Rabbi Schmal. Oh, Ravi Schmal, Ravi Schmal.
- 10:53Right into the shave. But now.
- 10:54Wow, what a way to start a day. There are guys that come in, put
- 10:58on music in the morning. Modani.
- 11:01Little shout out to Pampadisa. Yep, he's the best.
- 11:04So that's, I mean, it's all about music.
- 11:08Music opens up the soul. What did the flomo say about
- 11:12music? Almost says when two people talk
- 11:15at the same time you can't hear them, but when two people sing
- 11:17at the same time. It's beautiful.
- 11:21That really is beautiful. Like Belgiumptus says, like the
- 11:24the music is the quill of the soul.
- 11:28David, you're the only guy I know here between all of us that
- 11:31has a background of music. I mean, you had a famous song,
- 11:34for crying out loud. A few of them.
- 11:35What was the one of the main ones?
- 11:36The the, the Lalas. One of the Lalas.
- 11:38What do we have? We had, I think I saw you once
- 11:46on the in Miami. I saw you had like a Vasika
- 11:48minion on the beach. I did, I did.
- 11:50It wasn't me. There are people in Miami that
- 11:52get together on the beach. It's one of the reasons I love
- 11:55heading towards Miami in the winter.
- 11:57It's diving on the beach with singing.
- 11:59What else did you have? Give me another song.
- 12:00Remind me? We had.
- 12:01No, there was. Another one that was pretty
- 12:14popular. Yeah, how old were?
- 12:15You when you got into music. When I got into music, like,
- 12:18like professionally, Yeah, 20. 5:00-ish and you made a career
- 12:23out of it. Yeah, it's a short career, but
- 12:25yeah. And then I had to get a real
- 12:27job, obviously. But what was your job?
- 12:29Right. Yeah, it was, yeah, for like 10
- 12:30years. So.
- 12:31You have a lot of experience in that industry for 10 years, 10
- 12:35years. What's the most you ever made in
- 12:38that era? Like for an event, like
- 12:43something that you're like, wow, I made it 10 years, a long time.
- 12:48It was Yeah, it was. I mean, you want me to say the
- 12:50number? Yeah.
- 12:51All right. Today it's nothing.
- 12:53These guys are getting paid that.
- 12:54These guys are getting paid that for weddings, you know what did
- 12:57it mean? It was it was like 12 grand for
- 12:58an. That's a.
- 12:59That's a nice amount. You know you made it.
- 13:00We got 12 grand for for a. Yeah.
- 13:03Wow. OK, David, because you're at a
- 13:05camera, you know, we're just not going to be able to stay on you.
- 13:07But I'm kidding. I could do AI could do a
- 13:10interview alone on each of you for hours because there's so
- 13:13much depth and so much to learn from.
- 13:15And our friend over here, Shmili, thought he's coming in
- 13:18to talk about only Urschlomo. I'm like, we're going to unravel
- 13:21you a little bit. We have to.
- 13:23So we just talked about David for a second, his background
- 13:25music. So I'm curious about you and
- 13:27hey, we're going to get back to you in a minute.
- 13:30How did you get involved in Urschlomo?
- 13:33You have a see the background a little bit.
- 13:35Yeah, and grew up Monroe, KCR. Take me through that please,
- 13:38that journey real quick. Proud.
- 13:43It's fun. I mean growing up in Monroe,
- 13:45it's like a little village, a lot of fun growing up there as a
- 13:48kid. But life took me to different
- 13:53paths in different directions. And 2011 is when I kind of went
- 14:02towards the breast lab route. There was got connected to a
- 14:05Nachman. How old are you?
- 14:0925 OK. So it's well past your days of
- 14:11Monroe. Yeah.
- 14:13Got it. Got married when I was 18.
- 14:15Oh. There you go, There you go 2.
- 14:171000. And five unraveled this.
- 14:19Game over here. Come on for. 21 years Rokersham.
- 14:22I have shell from Barte. Amen Amen.
- 14:26And then 25 Shabbos Kanika was my first Shabbos in Oman.
- 14:32What made you go to Oman? A bunch of friends went and they
- 14:34said hey, let's go. So we went to Oman, the whole
- 14:38long story how I got, we got there in three days of cancelled
- 14:42flights and breast was called Meneas.
- 14:45What does that mean? Meneas means obstacles, sure.
- 14:48But Meneas if you switch around the letters it, it turns into
- 14:54naemus with sweetness. So it means the bigger the
- 14:59obstacles, the bigger the sweetness going to be after.
- 15:03So we had a lot of Meneas, but made it.
- 15:05And from that Chavez my life changed.
- 15:09I was, I still lived in Irmond at a time.
- 15:11I helped Lipa build a shoe, famous Lipa shoe.
- 15:16And when I moved to Pomona, I moved to Pomona for the Cobweff
- 15:19minion I knew Abe from. When you were 13. 12 maybe?
- 15:27How'd you guys know each other? Monroe, What are you talking
- 15:29about? I was doing electric then and I
- 15:31was doing work in Monroe for Shameli's father.
- 15:34Real estate world, Yeah. Development.
- 15:37Construction. Yeah.
- 15:38Got it, Got it. But we didn't really know each
- 15:41other back. Then no.
- 15:42Wow. We got to know know each other
- 15:44from the 711 years. Yeah, what was the 711 years?
- 15:48I opened up the kosher heaven you.
- 15:50Opened up the kosher heaven and 7:11 I mean.
- 15:52You didn't know this when you asked him to come here.
- 15:56The only kosher 711 hot dogs. How you doing?
- 15:59Right. Fought with corporate for a year
- 16:02and a half and I opened up 711 in 2012 I think.
- 16:08Were you the first kosher thing for 7-11 in the country or
- 16:11something? Yeah, it still is.
- 16:13How'd how'd you pull that off and why is it the only one?
- 16:18Why is the only one? I don't know.
- 16:19I think it you need to you need to have the right ownership.
- 16:24The right ownership in seven, Anthony in 711 was the right
- 16:27owner for this pride in in, in Connecticut.
- 16:30That's right in Brooklyn. Didn't work out.
- 16:33Anthony is 711. He sold it.
- 16:35It's not the same anymore, but he understood he has to get a
- 16:40Jacob. He's married to a YID, so he has
- 16:43to get a Jacob. So we made it work.
- 16:45We made it work. And that's how I got to know Abe
- 16:50from from 711. And I wanted to move to a place
- 16:55where it's a big diverse crowd and the car buck menu was there.
- 17:00So when I moved to Pomona, it was after 10 years in airman,
- 17:05probably 5-6 years of being busy with Lipa shul.
- 17:08I was like look, just looking like have a peaceful life, not
- 17:13involved any shules. But after a few years at all,
- 17:16they we got to do something in order to grow.
- 17:21I felt that in order we should grow together, we need our own
- 17:26place. So we when we looked at places
- 17:31on the 45 under the which which school was that Nicholasburg
- 17:39look at a bunch of places and we just decided that we just got to
- 17:45got to jump in. We got to do it.
- 17:47We rented a house. We just wanted to sing.
- 17:50We wanted to dive in and sing and connect and grow.
- 17:55So we rented a small house on one E 1 E Lane.
- 17:59Avidan Moskowich lived there. Fast jump.
- 18:02What? That's the fast jump.
- 18:04That's it right there, right? Avidan Moskowich gave us away
- 18:07his dining room, really, it was amazing.
- 18:10His mom was selfless with some serious nappies for him.
- 18:14And we were there for like a year and a half.
- 18:18And it's about COVID time that we decided that I think the
- 18:24owner of the house, yeah, the owner of the house that is
- 18:26selling the house and we have to move.
- 18:28I started looking around for houses and we did our first
- 18:32fundraiser a week before COVID and then COVID hit and then
- 18:40everything stopped. Everything stopped.
- 18:42But we still, we had a lease already.
- 18:45We signed the contract. No, we signed the contract to
- 18:48buy the house, signed the contract to buy a three Wheeler
- 18:51cord a few weeks before COVID, COVID hit.
- 18:55Went to the to the seller and said, look, we're not going to
- 18:58be able to close right away. Let's do our four year lease.
- 19:01There are four year lease to buy and he was masking.
- 19:06So that whole summer of 2020 without the David's house, David
- 19:11Stein's house and then Elon Richland's house.
- 19:15And then we moved in Shabbos Leafs, moved into the current
- 19:19location Shabbos Leafs. We opened up the shul with a
- 19:23bris Friday morning, get Dali Rauch's bris.
- 19:28They opened up their breasts like a leonovi.
- 19:31We felt like a Leonovi's coming to open up the show for us.
- 19:36Then we had mushi storage. I think the Shabbos no was you
- 19:39with the Salomon? You would have.
- 19:41Salomon. You would have Salomon.
- 19:42What's the Shabbos? About to get Tischer like Tishra
- 19:46that year was. I'm sorry, Tishra, Tishra.
- 19:51The month. The month.
- 19:53I don't know, Yom Kippur I. Don't I don't work in Tishra.
- 19:56Shauna Yom Kippur. OK OK Tishra is before lol.
- 20:00Do you think? After.
- 20:01After. I mean, it's 11 months before.
- 20:03Yeah. Yeah.
- 20:03Guys, guys, cut me some slack here.
- 20:06OK, so. So it's the best tissue you had.
- 20:08I've never heard that term before in my life.
- 20:10The best tissue you ever had? Yeah, OK.
- 20:12Yeah. I've had some mad LS but tissue
- 20:15I'm sure. And the rest is history.
- 20:19Just spiral out of control. I mean, we always joke within
- 20:24each other. We didn't go to shul school A.
- 20:27Little bit maybe? We didn't go to shul school to
- 20:29know how to run a shul or how to run a community, but we're
- 20:34learning on the job. A sham wants this from us.
- 20:37We we just wanted to sing Bad Avening.
- 20:40All of a sudden you have to take care of this and there's a whole
- 20:42community. Let me ask you a question.
- 20:44There's so much to unravel here and I appreciate you giving me
- 20:47the history. The three of you again, I'm
- 20:49mentioning again how amazing and special it is that the three of
- 20:51you took out time to sit here and talk about.
- 20:53It's shows how meaningful the community is for you and your
- 20:56desire to have people even mimic this and grow this in their
- 20:59communities and to support your own community for the all the
- 21:03right reasons. And I know I'm Rosh Kodesh,
- 21:05people come from literally all over the world to dance.
- 21:08You know, I would say with us, because I will be there tomorrow
- 21:11morning. It's just amazing, amazing,
- 21:14amazing things that you're talking about and also what you
- 21:16can learn from about politics and being on a board.
- 21:19Can't imagine you running a shoe with Lipa Schmeltzer and all the
- 21:21people in the community of Iremont and let me get away to
- 21:24this, you know, place of serenity.
- 21:26So much to talk about there. I think that the, the, the
- 21:31beauty that I see, at least on I would say daily basis whenever I
- 21:37pop in, is that you, you all share.
- 21:40It's so funny to watch. It's almost like different
- 21:42people from different backgrounds.
- 21:43And you see it right here. For those of you that can't see,
- 21:46we have someone here wearing a big white knitted Yamaha with a
- 21:48beautiful blue, teal blue stitching around it and with
- 21:52some Taylor sticking out. And then we have this bearded
- 21:55guy from Monroe. And then we have David over here
- 21:57from Brooklyn, right? And it's just it all worlds
- 21:59colliding. And all of us really had such a
- 22:02tremendous background that led us to where we are here
- 22:05together, which is amazing. I like the concept and
- 22:07everything. I, I would like to break down
- 22:10just for a second, if you don't mind the, when, when you're
- 22:12getting together and you're building a shul.
- 22:14I've gone through this process a few times.
- 22:16There's one thing that you guys have that's unique to every
- 22:20other shul besides the music and the love and the dancing and the
- 22:23commitment to togetherness and so on.
- 22:25There's a uniqueness that no other shul really has.
- 22:27And it's been like that for you guys for a while.
- 22:29And I'm curious, if you don't mind me opening this box.
- 22:33You don't have a rabbi. What?
- 22:38We have a lot of rabbits. Yeah, yeah, we have quite a few
- 22:39actually. We have rabbits.
- 22:42We don't have a pulpit rabbi, but we have rabbits.
- 22:47Arshlam was like a launching pad.
- 22:51It's almost like not like the La Baocha rabbits.
- 22:54Santa Chlukham Baocha Rabbits said that he wants to create
- 22:57leaders. Arshlamme create creates
- 22:59leaders. That's what it is.
- 23:03It's a place where people come in to grow, to go out to the
- 23:07world. We we're doing that with a teen
- 23:09minion. We have a separate teen minion,
- 23:12a Bacharan minion. Shulamstein runs it every
- 23:16Thursday night. They're calling the Shabbos, but
- 23:17they have their own Shabbos. They have their own minion,
- 23:19their own kiddish, their own Gabon, their own ball curries,
- 23:22their own ballot feelers. And it is to create the next
- 23:28generation of leaders. They all go out, they all get
- 23:32married, they all live all over the world, dive in their own
- 23:34shoes and this, they'll bring this along with them.
- 23:40A third of our budget is is for the kids and the teens because
- 23:45we understand that this is the next generation.
- 23:47If we created a clubhouse for ourselves and you know, we can
- 23:51dance and sing and have a good time and grow.
- 23:55It's cute, it's good, it's nice, but what's with the next
- 23:59generation? That's how we're our budget is
- 24:03about $600,000 a year and we're spending 1/3 on the kids and the
- 24:08teens. We have Robert JoJo with the
- 24:12kids. These kids know taking Chloe by
- 24:15Hart. Really these kids have their own
- 24:17to heal them. They they have their own to heal
- 24:20them where they write down things and they dive.
- 24:21And it was by this 567 year old kids doing this by this with
- 24:27Robert JoJo. We have a career program every
- 24:30Wednesday with them, so it's. Thank you Hashem notebooks.
- 24:37Yeah, what's that? They have notebooks.
- 24:40Each kid has a notebook they write down.
- 24:41Thank you, Hashem, for whatever they're feeling.
- 24:44So part of Robert Jojo's program.
- 24:47We need to drop that song for a second.
- 24:48It was very good. It is.
- 24:50Very good. It's gonna be even better.
- 24:53Was very good. It is very good.
- 24:55It's gotta be even better. Was very good.
- 24:59It is. Very good.
- 25:00It's gonna be even better. Was very good.
- 25:03It is. Very good, it's going to get
- 25:05even better. Just rely on a shed.
- 25:09Jamie, you carried that thing everywhere.
- 25:13Did not bring that out. Stop it.
- 25:15Absolutely. This guy travels everywhere.
- 25:17I swear when you pulled it out a few minutes ago, I'm like, Oh my
- 25:19God, he wants the vape and he's not sure I'm looking at you and
- 25:22I'm like, well that's good. I was about to say just vape and
- 25:26you pulled that out at the perfect time.
- 25:27That's amazing. Kudos to you, Abe.
- 25:30I want to move to you then because you just threw the
- 25:31attention right over to you, Abe.
- 25:34I think another common denominator between a lot of
- 25:35people that dove in in the shul and the fact that they're the
- 25:39diversification is so wide. Besides our backgrounds and our
- 25:43emotionally and spiritually, there's also financial
- 25:46differences between a lot of us deal making, negotiating, blue
- 25:50collar, those kind of things. You have a certain uniqueness to
- 25:53you that I want to tap into for a minute.
- 25:55Being spiritual in a world of such physical is challenging and
- 26:00you're on the ground and you're on the route.
- 26:02You have a some sort of construction world that you're
- 26:04living in. What is what is that?
- 26:05Stone, marble, granite, marble, granite.
- 26:08And your brothers have been in the community of construction
- 26:11for a while. Yeah, we were.
- 26:13Yeah. My brother Kaim is a contractor.
- 26:15He was a framer first and he's a contractor now.
- 26:17My brother Bensi, who now moved to Eric Zieschrall and he was a
- 26:21plumber and I was an electrician and we used to do work together
- 26:26all the time. You fed each other business.
- 26:29Yeah. Wow, that's pretty cool.
- 26:32Yeah, it was amazing. Then at some point I got out of
- 26:35electric and whatever, now I'm in.
- 26:39Now I'm doing stone. Wow, just.
- 26:42To light people up, now I'll get them.
- 26:44What? I can't Stoned you can.
- 26:49Be conscious of what I'm saying. Yeah, it's all good.
- 26:51It's all good. We're not on 6/13 or whatever,
- 26:53you know. Always on 6/13.
- 26:55NO246, I meant that's great. You're, you're in the world of
- 27:02just being hands on and hands dirty, right?
- 27:05And really physical labor your, your whole life.
- 27:08How do you pause? How do you and it's such an
- 27:11environment where you got to be up 7:00 in the morning.
- 27:12I'm sure it is the, the construction starts, right.
- 27:15I'm imagining it starts early in the morning.
- 27:17I, I spend my first four or five hours in shul every day.
- 27:25So I try to make it when I can. I try to make it to learn before
- 27:29Nate's. I mean, it's been a
- 27:31transformation, but. Wasn't always like I don't.
- 27:34Know no, I thought the dominate needs five years ago after we
- 27:38moved into this into where our current location.
- 27:42Bernie brought his minion from 18 for Shay.
- 27:47I mean, they still have a Fire Nate's minion there, but he had
- 27:51started like a minion that had a lot of influences, music and
- 27:55which. Started in.
- 27:57There you go. I guess it has a lot of
- 27:59iteration. A lot of energy coming from.
- 28:01Him and and what, once we started davening there?
- 28:06I mean, I had daven sometimes, like here and there in 18
- 28:09forshay at the Nate's minion. I wasn't really an eights guy
- 28:11though, I just used to get schlepped in, but once we
- 28:14started there it was like a game changer for me.
- 28:17Before Nate's, you were davening in general.
- 28:21You're a Davener, so to speak. Robert Langley's Dugout.
- 28:24Yeah, Robert Langley's dugout for a bunch of years, OK.
- 28:27I don't know what that means. I used to have a very.
- 28:28Hard time. I'd go to shul like and I it
- 28:31would on and off try to go to like different mignon, but it
- 28:35just never, it never clicked like nothing ever like Drew.
- 28:39Me in that's I guess my question being.
- 28:44What clicked the Nates was a game changer, but that's five
- 28:49years ago or six years ago now or 5 1/2, whatever it is.
- 28:53But Shabbos, Shabbos, Shabbos changed my life.
- 28:58I mean, I grew up in a house that had like Shabbos is
- 29:01amazing, most warm home. But like everyone, you have to
- 29:05veer on your own path to some to some extent.
- 29:09And like I would say, the first couple of years of marriage, I
- 29:14didn't go to shul too much. Shabbos during the week was
- 29:20less, but yeah, once. So I want to clarify where we're
- 29:27going, but Shabbos really changed my, my weekday life.
- 29:32And but the Nate's minion at the Arsalan, what was what changed
- 29:36my life, really? So it starts with the Shabbos
- 29:39and then it continges into the weekday.
- 29:41It's sort of like confuses you. But I'm just curious though,
- 29:43through that whole process of you working hard, if you're not
- 29:46working, if your hands are not on a tool, you're not bringing
- 29:50in money. And in that environment to find
- 29:52spirituality, I find it's challenging.
- 29:54So I'm curious through that process, like what clicked for
- 29:57you at that point? That's what I want to go back to
- 29:59for a little bit. So.
- 30:00So many people can resonate with this.
- 30:02You're working hard. If I don't get into the Uber
- 30:04car, if I don't sit behind that desk, if I don't, you know, show
- 30:08up to that kitchen or you know, show up to that facility, then
- 30:11I'm not making money. And it's so a constant worry in
- 30:15our world, right? So how do you connect that
- 30:17spirituality? Where did that spark come?
- 30:20I understand the journey of IT or Shlomo and the Kalabak and
- 30:22all that stuff. I'm curious if you can take me a
- 30:24little deeper to understand throughout that process what I
- 30:27can learn from it of where did that shift, mental shift come
- 30:31from, so to speak? So when I started, when we
- 30:33started the minion, I started listening to Shlomo a lot and
- 30:36hearing rabble slom will talk about this rabble or that
- 30:41rabbit, always saying stories and little terrors.
- 30:43And it got it like sparked Manishama.
- 30:47Manishama was like, Hey, I want that whatever he's talking
- 30:49about, I want that. I want ish bits.
- 30:51I don't know what it is, but I want it.
- 30:52I want Rabin Ahmed. I don't know why, I don't know
- 30:55what, but it's like something that's changing something inside
- 30:58of me and that you know, since it was like small, small things
- 31:03that early on at some point after the crash in O 8.
- 31:09So I was not I was doing electric on a much smaller
- 31:12scale. I had like built up a little
- 31:14business or whatever. But so after that I was trying
- 31:18to sell water treatment and I was sitting in the office one
- 31:20day and my brother tells me like I could not make a sale.
- 31:26I had nothing. I'm like going bananas and I'm
- 31:30like and my brother's like Rabin Ahmed and Yosh.
- 31:34So one day I'm sitting there. I'm like, OK, you know something
- 31:36I hear about Rabin Ahmed. I'd rather been going to like a
- 31:39Lakota Marancia for a couple of years with Daniel Corn and and
- 31:45I'm sitting at the at the desk and I Google Rabin Ahmed and to
- 31:51Shiram from remote Schwamberger came up and the rest is history
- 31:56really from that like all of a sudden for the next till now I
- 32:01walk around with something in my ear most of the day and that's
- 32:05my infusion and I'm just pounding stuff like like we
- 32:09always say input output. So double speed.
- 32:13Yeah. You're getting.
- 32:14Early on it wasn't double speed. Well, you're getting at least a
- 32:18lot of the input by listening to it and absorbing it and so on.
- 32:22How are you outputting it? I try to smile at everyone.
- 32:27I try to just live it, you know, try to whatever my feelings are
- 32:32at some point. Also like hearing so many
- 32:33different things from Irvine Burger where he made me realize
- 32:39that everyone has everyone has packages.
- 32:41So I have troubles. I have things that are
- 32:44struggling, like I have to run and do whatever it is everyone
- 32:48does. So kind of like, well, maybe I'm
- 32:51jumping, but it's an equalizer. And I was like, hey, you know
- 32:54something, I just want to be a positive guy.
- 32:56You know, years ago, they used to call me Abe.
- 32:58Angry Electrician. Yeah.
- 33:02If you interview, don't interview any of my people that
- 33:05I worked with because you know. Was that right?
- 33:07Is that Were you angrier then? Yeah, what?
- 33:10Do you think you're I? Don't know if I was angry, but
- 33:12like I used to get, I used to get triggered very easily and.
- 33:18Wow. Yeah.
- 33:20So like, see, no, I, I, I like it.
- 33:23But look, this is all learning experience with one another.
- 33:25I mean, you know, being in this chair and being vulnerable and
- 33:28talking, it's, it's not easy, but I'm right here with you.
- 33:32I used to be angry too. And I was an angry kid.
- 33:35In fact, as a, as a teenager, I remember cursing, you know, my
- 33:39mother, I was so angry. I, I like I, I, I recognize now
- 33:44years later that she has forgiven me, you know, of
- 33:46course, because she's a mother, right?
- 33:50You know, but I was angry and I was always thinking about that
- 33:52and I, I like talking about anger.
- 33:54People shy away from it. I, I think that anger is one of
- 33:57the worst traits in the entire world.
- 34:01It, it the same passion perhaps that can build a relationship in
- 34:06a minute, can destroy it. It can destroy years through
- 34:10anger. So I really want to talk about,
- 34:12I want to tap into that for a minute.
- 34:13If you don't mind, by all means. So like I think that I think
- 34:18that me not getting less don't. Make me cry.
- 34:23Crying is also a good thing. But I guess that, you know, I
- 34:28have a lot of lessons that I've learned in my life about anger.
- 34:31I'm curious what you've learned from everything that you've
- 34:33taken in, Like what are those? What are those valuable insights
- 34:38and golden Nuggets that you can share about anger and about your
- 34:42journey through it and transitioning 'cause I don't
- 34:45know you as an angry person, but I sure as hell believe you that
- 34:48you were angry? What have I learned about anger?
- 34:53Anger doesn't feel good. Anger is something that just
- 34:57like it's a, it's a filler. I don't know.
- 35:00I never really thought about it. I don't, I try not to like
- 35:03reflect on what it was more on like that energy that I was
- 35:07putting into not necessarily putting in.
- 35:10That was like a natural proclivity.
- 35:15I realized that if I can, if I can use it for something that's
- 35:17positive. I think I once heard Weinberger
- 35:20talking about this and he was talking about the raviolis, the
- 35:25Savarov, and about the challenge for a lot of us to accept what
- 35:31he like, what let's say the sapmer.
- 35:34I don't want to get into it, but like what the sapmer view on
- 35:37Earthy Stroll is. And he said he's like, listen,
- 35:40he's like, you have to find the nukuda panimi, like the
- 35:44innermost truth that's inside of it and roll with it.
- 35:48And it made me think, I'm like, you know, I just want to be
- 35:53happy. I just want to be happy.
- 35:57So I started taking the energy that I guess I was using for,
- 36:02for anger and just started smiling and smiling at people.
- 36:08And I realized that like a smile is a smile could be with your
- 36:12eyes only you can smile at someone with your eyes without
- 36:15your without your mouth moving. And I was like the same way that
- 36:21you can look angry, you come inside, somebody can look really
- 36:24angry. It's it's an energy.
- 36:29So you start transitioning that. Transitioning.
- 36:31I just like, I don't, I don't, I don't want the the angry energy
- 36:34around me. David Smoli, what do you guys
- 36:39think? Have you experienced anger?
- 36:41We've all experienced anger. To A to a level that you have
- 36:44had to transform yourself, you personally.
- 36:49It's funny that when you when you finish at the end of the
- 36:52semester, you have elegant soil. And over there you see you dive
- 36:56and you say you hear rod sign. First to you is Kinna Kai, Kas
- 37:03and Gaiba right has Shilai Sala, Kinna Sodomolai.
- 37:11Jealousy. Jealousy, she'll like echo,
- 37:15anger, anger and ANOVA and simply be ANOVA.
- 37:21And that's what it is. So I remember 10 years ago when
- 37:25I would go as part of this 12 years ago, so I would have a
- 37:30Simon. I would want to dive in for
- 37:31these three things, but I think Kenna, Kass and Guy, but it's
- 37:34huge. Ego.
- 37:36It's ego, right? So Kenna kas Gava is kov kov
- 37:42gemo, right? Kov kov gemo.
- 37:46Kov kov gemo is 123. It's 123.
- 37:51That was like my Simon for like when I go out to dive in in the
- 37:54woods, it's kind of Kas GABA. So obviously we all we all have
- 37:58that and different moments in life trigger different emotions.
- 38:06I think with by me is whenever I get triggered with one of these
- 38:12the I I think of Yeshus. It was nothing.
- 38:17What is it, Yeshus? Yeshua, I know we're all we're
- 38:20all nothing. If we're all nothing, if I'm not
- 38:24thinking, he's not thinking You're nothing.
- 38:27So I'm going to get upset about what?
- 38:30You're nothing. I'm nothing.
- 38:31I'm going to get upset about nothing.
- 38:36So nothing has all come from so I didn't OfferUp a so if a offer
- 38:40will come from nothing when I go back to nothing.
- 38:43So when you realize that we're all nothing and the only thing
- 38:46that is is a sham in the center of the universe, we're all part
- 38:51of a sham. We're all reflections of a sham.
- 38:55And whatever I'm doing is just I'm I'm shalik of Hashem.
- 38:58Hashem is letting me do do things.
- 39:00I'm like his teen or so if I'm in shalik, If you get into that
- 39:05mindset, then nothing can upset you.
- 39:10You don't have an ego because we used to have an ego.
- 39:15You don't have jealousy because that reflection of Hashem,
- 39:20Hashem decided to have His outcome and His reflection and
- 39:24that person that way and to me that way.
- 39:26It's not that that person is higher than me or I'm lower or
- 39:31that's lower. So same thing.
- 39:34It's all a sham. It comes out differently,
- 39:38different people. So I think when you have that
- 39:42mindset and you train yourself to think that way, you have a
- 39:47more peaceful life. You have peaceful lives.
- 39:50It doesn't bother you as much. You don't take life, the Western
- 39:54life that seriously. Obviously, you know, Jewish life
- 39:58you have to take seriously, but you don't, you don't take all of
- 40:00these other things seriously. And it has an effect on, on your
- 40:05psyche. It has an effect on your.
- 40:08On your mental health that and obviously that brings in Amuna
- 40:13and Batachan and know that gives you a more peaceful life.
- 40:18Let me ask you a question. You know, you, you use the word
- 40:21that I've heard a lot in, in this world of Rabnachman, in the
- 40:25world of or Shlomo has both of us, the concept of being alone
- 40:32and talking to Hashem, talking to God.
- 40:35You mentioned it. So I'd like to for you to break
- 40:37it down for us, if you don't mind.
- 40:39The first time I ever heard about it was from a good friend
- 40:42of mine, Yankee Safran. And I was going through a very
- 40:46difficult time. He saw me in the gym and he saw
- 40:48something was wrong and as a good friend should do, he asked
- 40:51me how you doing and I said as a good friend should do.
- 40:54I responded, I'm not doing so great.
- 40:56And he said, why don't you go home and shut the door, make
- 41:05sure no one's, no one's home with you, shut your windows, do
- 41:07your do your neighbors a favor and just just yell at God.
- 41:11Just scream at him and just treat him like your friend, like
- 41:15your enemy, like you're, you're everything.
- 41:17Just yell at him. And, and I'm not going to get
- 41:19too deep into what happened by me because like I like to say, I
- 41:22want to learn from you guys and your experiences, but it opened
- 41:25up my world to connecting to God in a simple language of English
- 41:30and of my own emotion. And it was a tremendous
- 41:33breakthrough. And then JoJo took me out to the
- 41:35fields a few months ago for the first time.
- 41:37He's like, we'll talk to this tree, I'll be back in 10
- 41:40minutes. And that was kind of an
- 41:42interesting experience. But what is this whole thing of?
- 41:46What's the English translation of his both of those?
- 41:49Meditation. Meditation, I think.
- 41:54I think it's seclusion, no? Seclusion OK could be in both.
- 41:59Just being alone is kind of the Far East, maybe the Buddhist,
- 42:04you know, just seclusion going to a mountain alone.
- 42:07He's bothered this in in in our world, in the Jewish world, in
- 42:12the terror world is Remachman says to treat Hashem like talk
- 42:16to Hashem like you talk to your friend.
- 42:19Obviously he is our father. He's our king, Govina McCain,
- 42:23who but talk to him like you talk to your friend.
- 42:26I'm not going to talk a lot about it that Hashem wants us to
- 42:29be Manasseh Hashem. He wants us to win an argument
- 42:33with the sham. Hashem wants us to start an
- 42:34argument with Him. Convince Hashem that this is
- 42:39what I want and Hashem should give it to you.
- 42:44Much urbane, right? Wanted to go into that stroll
- 42:48down 515 feelers. It's not like, if you think
- 42:52about it, he didn't write on a blackboard 515 times.
- 42:56I want to go into that stroll. I want to go into that stroll.
- 42:59He didn't do that. It's 515 different feelers and
- 43:03that feelers came from Taurus, a Toyra, a whole Toyra and a
- 43:09reason why why Hashem has to let him in.
- 43:12Nachman talks about it. He says take every Toyota and
- 43:14turn it into a feeler. Right when Nachman has the
- 43:17Kutuma run, Revenowsen went and turned the whole Kutuma run into
- 43:21a Kuta fillers. Every Toyota has a feeler.
- 43:25So moisture vein went and I had 515 different feelers to Hashem
- 43:31trying to convince Hashem. So obviously Hashem told
- 43:36moisture rain to stop, but Hashem never told us to stop.
- 43:40So we kind of have to continue, but it's trying to.
- 43:46First of all, you have to create a relationship with Hashem.
- 43:50Obviously just you tell someone going to a room or going to the
- 43:54woods and start talking to Hashem, you feel like what, who
- 43:56am I talking to? And talk to myself?
- 43:58Doesn't make sense. So yeah, obviously I have to
- 44:01create that relationship with Hashem.
- 44:05And once you have that relationship and you have to
- 44:07dive into the relationship, you have to dive into Hashem.
- 44:10I want to have a relationship with you.
- 44:13There's obviously a creator in the world.
- 44:15The world wasn't created for nothing.
- 44:18There's there's a creator that created the world.
- 44:20So that creator hears everything.
- 44:22And now with technology, obviously you can understand
- 44:24that he hears everything. He's here.
- 44:28He's right here within me, right, A lazy Brody.
- 44:31You used to say that He says if you put your if you put mic, the
- 44:37mic, the microphone to his heartbeat, you hear Yotke puff K
- 44:41yotke wuff K, right. Every heartbeat is a sham.
- 44:45So you create a relationship and you go the reason why I'm not
- 44:48going to have to go out to the fires, he said.
- 44:51Because in the city with a lot of people, it's a lot of bad
- 44:54energy. People with bad thoughts, people
- 44:58are doing bad things. Like the energy, it's clouded
- 45:01right in the city, the pollution in the cities, you go out to the
- 45:04to the suburbs, it's cleaner. So if you go out to the woods,
- 45:08it's not a lot of people there. So the air is cleaner, the air
- 45:11is cleaner, It's easier for you to connect, it's easy for you to
- 45:15connect. And it's, it puts you into a
- 45:19mindset of being able to connect and, and, and dig within you to
- 45:24be able to bring that out. And it's a very, it's a very
- 45:28practical. I mean, Shawn Marsh talks about
- 45:30it, practical guidance, how to start doing his budgets.
- 45:35He talks about an hour's budget because he breaks down in 20
- 45:39minutes, 20 minutes, 20 minutes. But he can do it in 3 minutes,
- 45:41even a minute, a minute, a minute.
- 45:43You break it down with starting the 1st 20 minutes in a thanking
- 45:47a ship. Bring yourself into a gratitude
- 45:51mindset. Thanking for everything,
- 45:53thanking for your life, your wife, your kids, your house,
- 45:57your cars, your job, your food, your health, everything, your
- 46:01shoes, your pants, your friends, your rabbis, everything.
- 46:05And then going to 20 minutes of cash, manifish self reflection.
- 46:14What's going on? Where am I in life?
- 46:16What did I do, whether I not do what I want to do?
- 46:18Where am I stuck? What's the bottleneck?
- 46:21That's my message. Then 20 minutes and asking,
- 46:24asking whatever you want to ask for.
- 46:27He kind of breaks it down that gives you some type of a
- 46:31structure, but you don't need structure.
- 46:35Technically you you sit down with a friend some you're not
- 46:37going to think of a structure. It's not like you're bored.
- 46:40You simply you think of a structure, but you sit down with
- 46:42a friend, you're not going to think of a structure, but it's
- 46:45basically a relationship and it's the same as I can't tell
- 46:48you how you should have a relationship with your wife.
- 46:50Everyone has a different relationship with their spouse.
- 46:53Sham is the same thing. You have to find your
- 46:55relationship and tap into it. Once you tap into it and you
- 47:02become good friends, you can talk to Hashem even in a crowd
- 47:06to 1000 people and that's called raccoon calls of a silent
- 47:11scream. Instead of going to a room and
- 47:13starts to scream, close the windows.
- 47:16National talks about being in a crowd, being at YY Stadium,
- 47:2250,000 people and who's bothered us at Yankee Stadium, silent
- 47:26scream. And that's he's not going to say
- 47:29that's like the highest scream ever.
- 47:32If you close your eyes and you scream in your mind, it's the
- 47:38it's the loudest scream, loudest non scream.
- 47:42Wow, I almost wish that everyone screamed like that.
- 47:45It would be a better world. I I appreciate you bringing down
- 47:48this by this thing for me tremendously.
- 47:51It's really it was you did a great job by the way of breaking
- 47:54it down. Definitely going to consider the
- 47:56three minute version again. Something you guys mentioned,
- 48:01you know it, it's fascinating to me is that how not enough shules
- 48:07do the integration of the children the way you guys do it.
- 48:11And I think that if you know Diyenu, if we're able to get
- 48:16another shul to implement teen programs or children programs,
- 48:20you go to more modern shules around the world and you always
- 48:22see it. The young Israel, they have the
- 48:24programs and you know, growing up, I actually had Piriche in
- 48:28Brooklyn. Remember that.
- 48:30Dylum and Yeah. Yeah, we had it, but like a lot
- 48:33of times I don't see it. I didn't have it for my kids
- 48:36actually. And I kind of feel bad about it,
- 48:38to be honest with you, that I didn't have it for my kids.
- 48:40And I just think it's so important to give them, you
- 48:43know, that network of putting it together.
- 48:47How do you guys? I have a couple of questions
- 48:51with regarding this topic and you can break it down any which
- 48:53way you want. And you know, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm
- 48:58considering asking all three of you this question, but I'm going
- 49:00to start with you because we're continuing the conversation
- 49:02really is that I wish when I was a kid that I was introduced to
- 49:07some of these concepts. And I, I almost thank Hashem
- 49:13that I went through the process, of course anyways, simply
- 49:16because I appreciate it more now.
- 49:17So of course, everything happens for a reason.
- 49:19It's all for my good. We get all that.
- 49:21Let's focus on the kids for for a second and, and ask ourselves,
- 49:26how are we doing this in the best way possible, infusing this
- 49:29in our in our children? And what can we do differently
- 49:32that they'll appreciate it and we won't.
- 49:34You know, I, I sit sometimes in a shul and I see a father
- 49:37dragging his kid to the Orange Coast to kiss it.
- 49:40And I want to drag that guy and throw him out of the shul like
- 49:42literally. And you guys are very
- 49:46emotionally aware in in our Shlomo, I'll tell you before you
- 49:49answer the question about the children.
- 49:51I'll tell you just real quick is that one of the first times I
- 49:53dive into the shul, I couldn't make it past Minco when I had to
- 49:57dive in for the amid. I don't know if anyone of you
- 49:58were there. I was there.
- 49:59It was on your mother's yard side.
- 50:01Yeah, so unfortunately I was the brother that said my brother's
- 50:06got this, they'll do the Kydish. I don't have to do it, you know.
- 50:08I think I was the one that pushed you.
- 50:10Yeah, you pushed me. Thanks.
- 50:12Yeah, appreciate that, bro. So I didn't really dive in for
- 50:16the amid a lot. I didn't really get up to lead
- 50:17the congregation, but I did it right before Shabbos at
- 50:22Urshalomo. I got up to David Mincha.
- 50:24And in the middle, I realized what a what a terrible kid I
- 50:28was. I didn't, I wasn't there for my
- 50:30mom, for the spirituality of it. And I didn't do a lot of
- 50:33college. I could not finish Mincha.
- 50:35I was up there. But hello.
- 50:38Kind of a cabin, say. And I push myself.
- 50:41I push myself like the hero that you are, David.
- 50:44I think you stepped in, right. Was it you?
- 50:46Yeah. I walked out crying and I
- 50:48couldn't take it. And the reason why I love what
- 50:50you did so much and it was so meaningful to me is because you
- 50:54were so careful not to embarrass me and you went straight to the
- 50:57Ahmed and you just continued like there was nothing wrong.
- 50:59You don't have to ask a rabbi. You would just did the
- 51:02leadership thing that she was talking about earlier, which I
- 51:04really appreciate. It's all publicly.
- 51:05Thank you now. But I'm thinking the effect that
- 51:09we have on our kids and the fact that we have on each other and
- 51:12how we raise our kids and what we do.
- 51:14Like one of my daughter's did something amazing today is
- 51:19before she left the house, she turned to her sister, who's
- 51:22similar in her age, and she said, Hey, you want to come with
- 51:24me? And I'm like, oh, that's so
- 51:27amazing. Like I never asked my kid to say
- 51:29that to their. I grew up, though, in an
- 51:31environment where I'd be like, you got to take your brother,
- 51:34you got to take your, you know, go out with your brothers and
- 51:36then, you know, and hearing about it made me not want to do
- 51:38it. You know, So in here, I looked
- 51:39at my camera like I never told my daughter to hang out with her
- 51:42sister. But natural inclination of love
- 51:44and way of growing up is not feeling, feeling forced like the
- 51:47guy who dragged the guy to the Torah.
- 51:50So again, I'm going back to this question, Shamela, and I'm going
- 51:52back with you. And based on that, you know,
- 51:54where I'm holding emotionally. What can we learn from it?
- 51:57How do we how do we tell our kids what we're what we're
- 52:00learning from all this? Just let's talk about that part
- 52:03of the process of of living life.
- 52:05The concept of do what I do, not what I say.
- 52:09And our kids see that we're we're initial singing davening
- 52:15and they see that we really mean it and it's important to us.
- 52:19So they want to emulate us. They want to do the same thing.
- 52:23And I've noticed the common denominator, I'm sorry to cut
- 52:24you off, is that none of you are pushing your kids to do it.
- 52:27None. I have not said.
- 52:28That's why I'm so amazed by the program that you have for the
- 52:31teens, because you're doing something right.
- 52:32Let's talk about it. What are you doing so right?
- 52:34We were pushed and we didn't like it, right?
- 52:37We didn't like it. So that's what we had to find
- 52:39our own ways. Not saying that that this is
- 52:42100% proof way that it's going to work, but right now it's
- 52:46working for our kids. They like to come to show, they
- 52:50connect to Rubber JoJo, they connect to the davening, They
- 52:53want a daven, right? So my son Ruby, he's 8 years
- 53:01old, he dives with Rubber JoJo every morning, Shabbos morning,
- 53:05Shabbos day, right? Friday night he plays outside,
- 53:10he runs around. I didn't tell him to come in the
- 53:12last few weeks, that what he saw right?
- 53:14He just decided he just came in the shoe, opened up a seal there
- 53:17and started diving. And singing.
- 53:19Who singing? I didn't tell him to do it.
- 53:23The concept the Rambam has this concept that you have to give a
- 53:25kid the candy to learn. So obviously we have prizes and
- 53:30and all that stuff. Rabbit JoJo brings in that vibe
- 53:32and that life in the kids. So they want to come to shul and
- 53:37they experience the singing. They like it now.
- 53:40They want to be part of it. They see the teen.
- 53:43They're the kids room is right next to the teen room.
- 53:47Welcome Minion. So they see growing.
- 53:50They're like, OK, I want to grow up like these guys, these guys
- 53:52diving, They take diving seriously.
- 53:54They sing. There's something there.
- 53:57Kids are so innocent. They're not corrupt like us.
- 54:00Their mind is so fresh and innocent and holy.
- 54:04They smell holiness. They want to.
- 54:05They want to be part of it. They just want to be part of it.
- 54:08They don't know yet why, what when they just want to be part
- 54:11of. They smell goodness.
- 54:12They want to be there. So your, your message that I'm
- 54:15accepting and I love it. The idea of not to push.
- 54:17That's the the thing. And, and, and, and let them
- 54:19emulate something that you're doing that they, they, they
- 54:22should be role models, which is great.
- 54:24And, and I love that. Abe, I'm I'm going to turn to
- 54:26you. Tell me, you know, from raising
- 54:30good kids and you know, and, and being an environment of
- 54:34brothers, you know, you we've seen a lot, right?
- 54:38I'm also a couple of brothers. You're a few brothers and you
- 54:42learn a lot. You learn what to do, what not
- 54:44to do. You know, sometimes I ask one
- 54:45kid of mine, like, what can you tell me about how I did things
- 54:48to you that I can learn for the next kid?
- 54:50It's one of my favorite questions to ask my kids.
- 54:53So I'm curious what you learned about this process from kids and
- 54:57that whole topic. I have no idea, honestly.
- 55:01My mother taught me that. It's all about prayer.
- 55:04She taught you to tell me all the time, Abe, you know how much
- 55:07I dive in for you and that's it. You know, ultimately, I think
- 55:11about this a lot. I really do because I don't like
- 55:15to look negatively on anything from the from the past.
- 55:20Like I was saying before, you have to find that Nokudo inside
- 55:22of what they were trying to bring out.
- 55:25And you know, for for many years, it was a matter of like,
- 55:29we were kind of forced to be inside the ghetto, like we were
- 55:33forced to be to do whatever it was.
- 55:36And we kind of just had to do like as Jews, you had to, you
- 55:40had to just live your life. You were stuck inside there.
- 55:42And then probably over the last, I don't know, 100 years or
- 55:45whatever, maybe it's 150 years, things kind of broke out.
- 55:50So the challenge I think #1 is to is like Shmilly said, you
- 55:58really want to just whatever you want your child to be, you want
- 56:02to try to and you want to live your life with truth and stay
- 56:10focused a lot of to feel and then have confidence in, in
- 56:15Hashem. Because at the end of the day, I
- 56:17look at myself sometimes and I say, you know, I've done a lot
- 56:21of like really stupid things, a lot of crazy things, and I'm all
- 56:27right, and I'm all right because Hashem took care of me.
- 56:31So the same way that he took care of me, let me just try to
- 56:34give my kids something positive to see and then have the
- 56:39ultimate faith that that they're going to be fine.
- 56:41And if they take, you know, the route off like in whichever
- 56:46direction I'm accepting, I mean, you know, Bhar Hashem,
- 56:52everything's great and. Accepting and praying.
- 56:55Yeah. I like that.
- 56:56Accepting and praying. I mean, just to add one thing, I
- 57:00think that it was a very, it's very important to us to
- 57:03facilitate though this, this idea of the future.
- 57:07Like I kind of see us as, as facilitators really, we're
- 57:10facilitating growth for people. And it became very, very
- 57:15important that we were like a lot of cover.
- 57:18Like if they have to be a part of something.
- 57:22So when you create the the teen programs and the kids programs,
- 57:26these kids are also a part of something and they mean
- 57:28something in shul. They show up, they know that if
- 57:31they're not there, also somebody's going to realize that
- 57:33they're not there. It's not just that they're
- 57:34another kid that maybe is hanging around on the swing set,
- 57:37or another kid who's getting pulled by the ear into shul.
- 57:40Yeah, very true. What a great point by the way.
- 57:43Fantastic point. A lot of the teens, a lot of the
- 57:46teenagers coming to Minion, schlepping their fathers out,
- 57:49out out early because they're like, pah, we got to go to shul.
- 57:56Wow. It's amazing.
- 57:58I love that David is there. Anything left to say?
- 58:00I think they could. Just compliment them and.
- 58:03Yeah, well, yeah, they they, I, I the first of all, have you
- 58:08seen you've have you seen the kids minion or the teen minion?
- 58:11It's pretty mesmerizing. It's it's, it's phenomenal.
- 58:14You have kids in both in, in in the teens.
- 58:18You have, like she really said earlier, they they have their
- 58:21own, their own kiddish, their own Gabba and their own cousin,
- 58:24their own guy that's leaning and they're all teens and like a was
- 58:31pointing out, they like really feel like they're a part of
- 58:33something. You're empowering them.
- 58:35You really are. And, and they feel it and you
- 58:37see it and you can, you see, you see, I, because I've had kids in
- 58:40the, in the, in the kids program that graduated for the teens,
- 58:44ran the teens. My, my son and Abe's son ran the
- 58:47teens program before Schmollenstein came.
- 58:50It's so powerful. And, but I, I, I really think
- 58:53that the main, the, the main thing is the main way to get the
- 59:00best out of your kid is to just lead by example.
- 59:05Because they're watching they, they, they're watching it.
- 59:10So you want to preach from today to tomorrow.
- 59:11You can, but they're watching to see how, what you do.
- 59:14How do you talk to that person? Speaking of which, a lot of
- 59:17things that kids that they, they, they're watching is that
- 59:21they don't see, one of the things they really don't see is
- 59:23how hard we work for our money. They just don't see it.
- 59:26They, they see that we're away, they're in school.
- 59:28We hopefully recognize the work that they're putting in school.
- 59:32They, I, this is my personal opinion.
- 59:34I'm curious to shift gears for a second and bring the business
- 59:37side of things in it because our kids are getting older and as
- 59:40they get older you want to give them the best sort of direction
- 59:43spiritually, emotionally, mentally, physically, emulate,
- 59:47lead by example, all that good stuff.
- 59:49But financially is something where it's not doesn't always
- 59:53working. By lead by example, I mean just
- 59:55'cause you're a dentist or a doctor or a tile layer or a
- 59:58stockbroker doesn't. Stockbroker doesn't have to
- 1:00:00bring it up. Doesn't mean that I remember
- 1:00:03those days. I remember those days.
- 1:00:04Yes. Yes, I have to mention it
- 1:00:06because I remember Uri Bean also used to say that he's in stocks
- 1:00:10because he was stocking the shelves.
- 1:00:11In the farm exactly. When he was 17 years old, but
- 1:00:14you were really in the stock market of it.
- 1:00:18Finding ourselves financially is, is also a tremendous, a
- 1:00:24journey, a concept of, you know, figuring out what you love and
- 1:00:28what you, you know, what you want to do early on.
- 1:00:31And it's such a challenge. I want to learn from each and
- 1:00:35everyone of you, because you're all three in different worlds
- 1:00:37financially and you're doing different things.
- 1:00:40I think you're in real estate or you are now.
- 1:00:41I learned you sold kosher hot dogs, tiling and, and, and, and
- 1:00:46right, that electric work, you're doing real estate deals
- 1:00:49as well now, right? And you did stocks and so on.
- 1:00:53How do we figure out for our, our next generation, you know,
- 1:00:59forget AI, you know, let's just talk about what do you do to
- 1:01:03instill in them and what was your background like?
- 1:01:04And I want to go back to your 711 things.
- 1:01:06So I never knew that. So 711 was one of your one of
- 1:01:09your first things. No, no, I got married in O5I
- 1:01:13worked for my father upstate. Instead of buying a bunch of
- 1:01:17properties in Middletown, menacing Goshen, got it past
- 1:01:22after 2001, September 11th, 2001, a lot of people in the
- 1:01:24city started moving upstate, right?
- 1:01:26Orange County, Sullivan County, Ulster County.
- 1:01:30And that was popping to the O8 crash.
- 1:01:34At the O8 crash, we lost everything, properties, a lot of
- 1:01:39money. It was crazy.
- 1:01:40So I decided then to leave the development world, leave the
- 1:01:46construction world. I always liked cooking.
- 1:01:48I'm going to culinary school, so I went to culinary school.
- 1:01:53I did not know this. Yeah, I feel like I need the
- 1:01:55kazoo for every everything that he's going to go through, right.
- 1:01:59Now culinary school and then yeah, continue.
- 1:02:04In Brooklyn. I remember that on Coney Island
- 1:02:06Ave. Yes.
- 1:02:07You went to that culinary school.
- 1:02:09Get out. I I did a dating class there
- 1:02:10once. Yeah.
- 1:02:11CKCA. Yeah, yeah, By the way, great
- 1:02:17tip for dating is go cooking. Get a cooking class, get someone
- 1:02:20to come to your house and do cooking.
- 1:02:22It's fantastic. Graduated from there, worked at
- 1:02:24a bunch of places. Where'd you work?
- 1:02:28First spot. Freddy.
- 1:02:31Fred, where'd you work? Humio sushi and steak in
- 1:02:35Livingston, NJ, next. You can go through all of them.
- 1:02:39Now, Lakewood Courtyard, what was the record?
- 1:02:43In liquid? No.
- 1:02:44Yes. In the nursing home.
- 1:02:45Yes, you were. A food service sector?
- 1:02:47Get out of here. Let's talk about your budgets,
- 1:02:49your PPDS, your vendors, your nutrition.
- 1:02:52I think I brought it down from 7 dollars like 550.
- 1:02:54Get out of there. No such thing as 550.
- 1:02:56This was one. Yeah, OK back then.
- 1:02:58OK, OK, OK, fine. And they eat well.
- 1:03:02And they ate well. Exactly.
- 1:03:03So how long were your food service director for?
- 1:03:04I did not know this I. Think for like a year.
- 1:03:07They fired me for what? Because I didn't have enough
- 1:03:10Shilis, I promise you. What does that mean?
- 1:03:15I didn't ask and I didn't have any shilis.
- 1:03:18They said the pre, the chef before you always called the
- 1:03:20rabbi for shilis. You never called the rabbit for
- 1:03:22shilis. I said, what do you want?
- 1:03:23I know all the I know all the shilis.
- 1:03:25I know all the answers. So yeah, they let me go.
- 1:03:29And I worked with Moshe Teitelbaum.
- 1:03:31Chef Moshe Teitelbaum. OK.
- 1:03:33And with RAM caterers, we opened, we opened up.
- 1:03:37Ram's one of the biggest. Yeah, Aaron's Casino Farm Farms
- 1:03:40in Queens. We opened up the deli there.
- 1:03:42It's a high end deli. I worked at a few wedding halls
- 1:03:46I gave. At what age is this now?
- 1:03:48This is. I don't know.
- 1:03:49This is. He's still only 14 at this part.
- 1:03:51Let's. Go by years.
- 1:03:52This is, yeah. Higher 20s two. 1000 and nine
- 1:03:552010 higher. 20s. Mid 20, No.
- 1:03:58Early 20s Twenty. Three and four got it.
- 1:04:00So in your 20s, you're figuring it out.
- 1:04:02You did culinary, you're testing out the world.
- 1:04:04You worked in different restaurants and stuff.
- 1:04:06So I decided to do a food truck at the Chase parking lot of.
- 1:04:11Course you did. Food truck at Chase parking lot.
- 1:04:17I had to go through through the village to get an approval to
- 1:04:21put a truck there. What made you want to put a
- 1:04:24truck there? I.
- 1:04:25Don't know, always felt like I'm the sandwich guy.
- 1:04:28What? Next door to 711.
- 1:04:30Just clarify we're. Got it.
- 1:04:33One day I come in there and Anthony's like, I heard you want
- 1:04:35to put a food truck there, Anthony, if you watch this.
- 1:04:43So he said I'm going to fight you, You can take away my
- 1:04:48business. I said, OK, let's see who's
- 1:04:52going to win. A week later, the village of
- 1:04:58Ermont declined my application. Next day, I'm all down and, you
- 1:05:06know, worked so hard, invested money, and then I had to give
- 1:05:10him a site plan and everything. I walk into 711, Anthony comes
- 1:05:14up to me and he says, you know what I thought about it?
- 1:05:18He's like, I always wanted to do something kosher in the store.
- 1:05:22How about forget about the food truck?
- 1:05:25Come inside the store, Do it here, I said.
- 1:05:30Let me think about it. What were you saying on the
- 1:05:34inside? And he said it was like next day
- 1:05:41I came back, obviously I said yes and we started working on
- 1:05:45it. It took us about a year, a year
- 1:05:47and a half to convince corporate to do it.
- 1:05:52What'd you learn from that experience?
- 1:05:53That's an amazing experience and of itself.
- 1:05:55A year and a half. So you're waiting.
- 1:05:57How do you have I? Still, I did that.
- 1:06:00I work. I work as a private chef to have
- 1:06:02a bunch of people. I trained caterers.
- 1:06:04I gave classes. What was your staple item I.
- 1:06:07Also worked at What's the name called name on on college
- 1:06:11fountain view. Yeah.
- 1:06:13Yeah, we're good too. Oh wow, Yeah.
- 1:06:15What? What were the items that you
- 1:06:16like to make? Like I, I make the best.
- 1:06:19Everything. Everything all right all?
- 1:06:22Right. I'll accept it.
- 1:06:23I'll accept it. OK.
- 1:06:26And so take me through that year of experience working with 711
- 1:06:30corporate to try to breakthrough that is amazing.
- 1:06:34What an experience. Taught me a lot how to work with
- 1:06:37corporate. That's what I'm asking.
- 1:06:38What did you think? Helped me in the later years
- 1:06:42working with corporate Just you need to know.
- 1:06:46You need to have a language for them.
- 1:06:47You need to know what to say, what not to say and how to work
- 1:06:51with them. I, I don't know, I mean.
- 1:06:54Give me an example. There's not a lot of people I
- 1:06:56don't. Know if I could?
- 1:06:57Like to work with corporate America?
- 1:07:00I don't know if I could, but there's a mahalo with corporate.
- 1:07:04Give me something. There's a mahalo.
- 1:07:05Give me something. I can't.
- 1:07:07You can't even give me the little antidotes of what it
- 1:07:10takes to work with corporate. You have to learn words like
- 1:07:12proclivity. Everyone in corporate is there
- 1:07:16for themselves, only for themselves.
- 1:07:19They don't care about the actual company.
- 1:07:22They don't care if the company's going to make money or not.
- 1:07:25They're only there to make sure that they can go up to the next
- 1:07:28level. And also you should know that if
- 1:07:32you work with corporate America, the guy you're working with, if
- 1:07:36he's giving you a hard time in a year from now, two years when
- 1:07:39it's probably going to be gone because he's going to move up or
- 1:07:42down or leave, right? When you work with regular
- 1:07:45companies, regular business, you know, the guys here for 20 years
- 1:07:48in corporate, I, I saw that in 7-11, you know, when they had
- 1:07:53their reps coming, coming through the stores every six
- 1:07:56months to a year would change. So even if you fall in with
- 1:08:00someone that's not good or gives gives you a hard time, you know?
- 1:08:04The opposite is true also though.
- 1:08:06Yeah, yeah. True 100 percent, 100%.
- 1:08:09What were you going to say? I was going to say about that, I
- 1:08:13remember from what about the seeking of?
- 1:08:15Course you were. Go ahead.
- 1:08:16What is it? He says, he says it's, it's
- 1:08:18psychological. I think it ties in with with
- 1:08:20corporate over here. It says when you wake up before
- 1:08:24the sun is out, it's dark, right?
- 1:08:28But you know that in 1/2 an hour from now it's going to be light.
- 1:08:33So subconsciously you train your mind that whenever you go
- 1:08:37through something dark in your life, the light is there.
- 1:08:41The light's at the end of the tunnel.
- 1:08:43The light is very near says, but if you wake up when the sun is
- 1:08:46already out, subconsciously you know darkness is coming.
- 1:08:53Says if you wake up a seeking a train your mind that anything
- 1:08:56you go through in life, light is common, which is ties back in
- 1:09:01with corporate that even though someone out there is not good
- 1:09:05for you, whatever it's hard. It's going to be another person
- 1:09:09there in a year from now. That was 711.
- 1:09:12Great fart Yeah great, very nice so you learned that the process
- 1:09:16711 you open the kosher thing and and did you start making
- 1:09:19money immediately I. Worked there.
- 1:09:20I was standing there screaming. Get you kosher hot dogs.
- 1:09:24Hey. Yeah, Me and Anthony would
- 1:09:26scream. You would notice.
- 1:09:27Like kosher hot dogs. It was fun.
- 1:09:31It was a lot of fun. It was a lot of fun.
- 1:09:34How? Many hot dogs did you sell like
- 1:09:36on the height? What I mean, I was it's good in
- 1:09:39New York. ABC 7 Channel 12 news, you can
- 1:09:43search it. We sold a lot of hot dogs.
- 1:09:47Sold 4500 hot dogs a day. Wow.
- 1:09:54I sourced all the dogs. I mean they, they, it was a
- 1:09:57custom run for us, custom sizes, custom.
- 1:10:00We did everything ourselves. I mean, I made a homeless in
- 1:10:04over there. I made a coleslaw there.
- 1:10:06We made everything there. Where'd the hot dogs come from?
- 1:10:09Back then, it came from international.
- 1:10:11There are Globex, Globex, Chimowitz.
- 1:10:14Yeah, yeah, Chimowitz, that's right.
- 1:10:15Good people, yeah. You had a custom run fast,
- 1:10:18custom sizes, custom flavors was great.
- 1:10:23And 2014 I sold it. I, I sold it because I saw
- 1:10:28construction picking back up and decided to jump back in and I
- 1:10:34opened up a framing company, opened up a framing company in
- 1:10:402014 with my brother Moeshi called East Coast Framers.
- 1:10:45Still around, best in town, best service.
- 1:10:49You know when you drive on the 17, like 17 to go upstate up to
- 1:10:55the mountains on the right side in Monroe, you see all those
- 1:10:57houses. That's East Coast framers.
- 1:11:00What a contract. Yeah.
- 1:11:02Oh yeah. Wow, probably the developer.
- 1:11:05So the hell bot, he has investors, obviously.
- 1:11:14And the beginning of the project, it's 1800 unit project.
- 1:11:17Beginning of the project, they wanted to bring in four framers.
- 1:11:20I had to fight in the beginning of the project, they had three
- 1:11:23framers there. Now we're the only one because I
- 1:11:27proved myself. What do you have to prove?
- 1:11:30Quality. Speed.
- 1:11:34They'll call you up and say, hey, you have 10 foundations
- 1:11:36ready for you. I don't want you to start with
- 1:11:38one. I want you to start with all 10
- 1:11:43and I want you to be able to carry me at least 90 days, 90
- 1:11:50days, you're done with all 10. These are 5060 thousand square
- 1:11:57foot buildings. Wow, what kind of contract is
- 1:11:59this per 60 days? 90 days, how much we talking
- 1:12:03about volume of spend? Volume of spend that whole
- 1:12:06project, yeah. Framing wise, it's just framing,
- 1:12:09just the framing. Well, figure, I don't know,
- 1:12:18maybe $6 a square foot, OK. Humor me please.
- 1:12:22Are we talking about a few $1,000,000 contract?
- 1:12:23A few $100,000 contract. $6 * 50,300 thousand.
- 1:12:28OK. A few $100,000 contract. 300 per
- 1:12:30building. So you're talking about 10
- 1:12:32buildings in one shot. 3,000,000 bucks.
- 1:12:34Wow. You have to be able to carry in
- 1:12:3690 days. Sure.
- 1:12:37So you're acting as a bank to them as well, which is a very
- 1:12:39typical thing as a service provider and you're giving them
- 1:12:42credit and hoping that they're going to be successful and of
- 1:12:45course you have an end. So you understand that they
- 1:12:47probably will be, but still challenging to be a bank.
- 1:12:51I'm living in that world and I think a lot of our friends who
- 1:12:54are living in the world of being a service provider are used to
- 1:12:57this concept of 30 days, 60 days, 90 days.
- 1:13:00And I, I always work on on this concept of people should we
- 1:13:05should not be in the banking business, we should be in the
- 1:13:07service providing business. Get paid.
- 1:13:09Of course. It's part of the course, just
- 1:13:11like you know. In order to get a contract, so
- 1:13:13you have to provide that service as a banker.
- 1:13:17That's the reality. That is the reality.
- 1:13:22So wow. So a few years in, I actually
- 1:13:29few years in about 2018-2019. Remember talking to Abe one day
- 1:13:35and we were waiting for trusses on a bunch of buildings, roof
- 1:13:38trusses and floor trusses. What's a Truss?
- 1:13:41I'm sorry. Truss is a prefabricated roof
- 1:13:43joist. That roof.
- 1:13:45What's a joist? I'm kidding.
- 1:13:46OK, got it. And we I had a bunch of
- 1:13:49buildings without trusses. OK, it's got to be more
- 1:13:53companies. So I opened up a company open a
- 1:13:56manufacturing plant in Ellenville, NY.
- 1:13:58Whoa. In Ellenville?
- 1:14:00In Ellenville. I love Ellenville.
- 1:14:02There's a smack in the middle of town.
- 1:14:04Greenfield Park. Yeah.
- 1:14:05Oh yeah. Yeah.
- 1:14:07Do So Foods is in Ellenville. Foods is in.
- 1:14:09Ellenville. The Tamarack Hotel was in
- 1:14:10Ellenville. I grew up on Tamarack.
- 1:14:11How? Did you get them to name the
- 1:14:12park after you? So you remember I told them I'm
- 1:14:15going to open a Casitas development.
- 1:14:17I said no, no, no, we'll name a park after you.
- 1:14:19Aluminum drive, Aluminum drive. That was the the knife
- 1:14:23sharpening company over there. Whatever.
- 1:14:26So let me just get this straight.
- 1:14:27So you went to the framing business after you sold your hot
- 1:14:29dog business, and then you realize, oh, there's nobody
- 1:14:32doing this, so let me manufacture this on my own.
- 1:14:34Yeah, hardest thing in my life. So, OK, but you just went in not
- 1:14:40I heard this once a good a good vart that said, you know, if I
- 1:14:43was smart enough to know what I was going into, I would have
- 1:14:44never gone into it to begin with.
- 1:14:45It sounds like this is your juncture and right this is where
- 1:14:49you were up to. I had an opportunity in the
- 1:14:51beginning before I opened it to buy out a Trust Company, but I
- 1:14:56chose not to because it's obviously cheaper.
- 1:15:00But what I know now, I probably would probably should have
- 1:15:04bought that company, starting something from fresh, a
- 1:15:10manufacturing plant like that, very hard, very hard, not easy.
- 1:15:17But I'm here. My wife pushed it through and
- 1:15:25yeah, it was great. It was great.
- 1:15:27What give me one of the best tips for someone who opens a
- 1:15:32brand new business? Manufacturing something.
- 1:15:34What did you learn from that experience of manufacturing?
- 1:15:38I know the corporate question didn't go easy, but we got
- 1:15:40something out of you. But the manufacturing world,
- 1:15:44what could you? I say probably find the right
- 1:15:49consultants to guide you. They have experience.
- 1:15:54I flew in consultants from Texas.
- 1:15:57Wow. I flew in consultants from Texas
- 1:15:59that they, they, this consultant that I flew in, he ran four
- 1:16:04trust companies. He brought his team to train us.
- 1:16:09I didn't know what I was doing. I know that I, you know, I'm
- 1:16:14opening up a Trust Company. They came in, they taught us
- 1:16:18everything you know, and by hiring the people and training
- 1:16:23people, I think that's, that's, that's really what it is.
- 1:16:30You know what you know, you have to know what you don't know.
- 1:16:33Bringing the right consultants, especially in the beginning,
- 1:16:38bring them in for a month, two months to guide you what you
- 1:16:43need to do. They helped me a lot.
- 1:16:46They helped me a lot and the way the the plant was structured is
- 1:16:51because I went to the company Alpine, they provided me with
- 1:16:54all the equipment. They said, Sam, you know that in
- 1:16:58the past 20 years, no one has opened up a brand new fresh
- 1:17:01company. Everyone, it was like all
- 1:17:04companies that were given over to the kids and they, they come
- 1:17:07to us to buy you a piece of equipment here, a piece of
- 1:17:09equipment here. You're the first one that's
- 1:17:11coming to us to say, hey, design a brand new plant.
- 1:17:15They were happy because they can design the plan the way they
- 1:17:18want, which is raw material coming in from one end, finished
- 1:17:22product coming in from the other hand, all with screens,
- 1:17:26automations. We had everything in there and
- 1:17:30the we won a bunch of contracts because of because of that.
- 1:17:34They came down to our plan. They were like, whoa, what's
- 1:17:36going on over here? It was the way it was running.
- 1:17:39It was smooth coming in and going out.
- 1:17:42It was amazing. And then I sold it.
- 1:17:48Wow. Yeah.
- 1:17:50OK, so you sold it. Keep going.
- 1:17:53Where's the kazoo? You sold it.
- 1:17:56What was like? What was life after that?
- 1:18:01Life after that COVID is happening.
- 1:18:05COVID. No no, it's all the post COVID
- 1:18:06but a bunch of different. Things a bunch of different
- 1:18:09things A. Bunch of different things.
- 1:18:11Yeah, I feel like you know your your thoughts and advice that
- 1:18:14you're giving. It's something that you've
- 1:18:16become, you've recognized the need of consultants.
- 1:18:18So you yourself became a consultant.
- 1:18:20You're like a person that people go to for help and advice.
- 1:18:23And I've seen your brain work and and tapping into all those
- 1:18:27experiences, which is amazing. Listen, yeah, experiences is
- 1:18:31everything, right? Yeah.
- 1:18:33So. I made a note for the two of
- 1:18:35you. Actually.
- 1:18:36David and I know each other so well that I don't need notes.
- 1:18:39But I made a note before I wrote down different things about you.
- 1:18:42So you're a deal maker is what I wrote down.
- 1:18:45Number one. I couldn't ChatGPT you, so I
- 1:18:47wrote down dealmaker. You're a real Hassid.
- 1:18:51I, I wrote that down here too, in case you want to know what
- 1:18:53that means to me. That means you're a
- 1:18:55Bifinimashurusadin guy. You're a guy that goes the extra
- 1:18:57mile. No, that's not what it means.
- 1:19:00No, no, that's what it means to me.
- 1:19:01Oh, OK, you're a real. Hassid to me is that.
- 1:19:05To me, what does a Hassid do? A Hassid is a guy that goes, you
- 1:19:08know, Bifinimashurusadin, as they say, like for things that
- 1:19:11they do. That's why it's called going the
- 1:19:13extra mile. But you tell me, forget what I
- 1:19:15wrote about a what a husset is. What do you think?
- 1:19:18A Husset. Is a real husset.
- 1:19:19Yeah. That definition of real husset
- 1:19:21was prior to Boschentov. OK.
- 1:19:25Once Boschentov came and introduced Hussedes I I like
- 1:19:30Havocuk. Cusset.
- 1:19:32Havocuk stands for Chabad, Bresliff, Kalbar, Cook.
- 1:19:37Havoc Cook. Havoc Cook.
- 1:19:39Have a cook I like it to. Have a cook.
- 1:19:42Chabad gives you the the Muhran, his Baroness, the the the about
- 1:19:47Tanya talking about knowing what a shame is, understanding of
- 1:19:51shame. Reslav gives you the lave, the
- 1:19:57feelings, the emotional part of it, the the Simcha, the joy,
- 1:20:03expressing your emotions. Kaaba gives you the Naguna.
- 1:20:10Song davening in song and of course gives yet to throw.
- 1:20:16So you have that challenge of different ideas.
- 1:20:21I think that's the machine way. Machine for sure.
- 1:20:25Have a cook? That makes sense.
- 1:20:31I really like this. Have a cook thing that you're
- 1:20:33starting with. I think I'm going to name myself
- 1:20:35one. I'm going to take one off your
- 1:20:36page, so I'm going to change also a real husset to a new
- 1:20:43change of life. I need like.
- 1:20:45You have to get rid of the Slive attitude instead of a real
- 1:20:48husset, a real hub of coconut. I'm going to write down instead
- 1:20:50from now on. I want to tap into that in a
- 1:20:54minute. And Abe, I want to go to you
- 1:20:55for, if you don't mind, you ready for this?
- 1:20:59What does it say on the paper? What does it say on the paper?
- 1:21:02Yeah, Hands on construction. Hollow Race Brothers.
- 1:21:07You're the song, man Wines. Wines love wine.
- 1:21:15Tell me about that journey. None of your business.
- 1:21:18That was a journey. He sang it for you.
- 1:21:21He's a real friend. Very good.
- 1:21:23I mean, I remember, I remember hearing from you that hey, come
- 1:21:25buy wine by me and I enjoyed and I appreciated being able to
- 1:21:28support, you know, your venture. It was not my venture.
- 1:21:33I got brought in just to to open a store for somebody else.
- 1:21:38And I was, I was into wine. I love wine good.
- 1:21:43I was into wine spirits. I like all sorts of drink.
- 1:21:47And the opportunity came when I was actually when I was doing
- 1:21:50water treatment. I was selling water treatment
- 1:21:53and just wasn't going. And then one day, like a
- 1:21:56relative called up and they're like, oh, there's a guy who's
- 1:22:00looking for somebody to help start this, start the store.
- 1:22:03I was like, I went to meet with them and it was, it was great.
- 1:22:09Good. So you got to do what you love
- 1:22:10for a little bit. Yeah, try to make money out of
- 1:22:12it, which is always a good thing.
- 1:22:14Yeah, I don't want to get distracted with that because I
- 1:22:16want to go back to where we were saying a minute ago, which is
- 1:22:18the Habakkuk, because I really like that.
- 1:22:21And and I see that lights you up also.
- 1:22:23I always, you know, I do career coaching on Sundays and I meet
- 1:22:26with people and I go through things with them and whenever I
- 1:22:29see them light up or smile in any part of the conversation.
- 1:22:31There you go. I just tapped into something
- 1:22:33that you really, really enjoy. I saw you light up when we spoke
- 1:22:36about how to cook. And I want to talk about it for
- 1:22:37a minute because after davening in a shul, what typically
- 1:22:43happens is, is everyone bails. In fact, most people are already
- 1:22:47destrapping before Elenu and just kicking on out of there and
- 1:22:51just running away to something in their world.
- 1:22:55What I noticed at Orschlomo is that it's so different in so
- 1:22:59many ways and so holy and so beautiful.
- 1:23:01And one of the things that I picked up on is that at the end
- 1:23:06of Dominant, it's like it never ends.
- 1:23:09It just never ends. It's the it's the gift that
- 1:23:11keeps on giving. And when the davining is over
- 1:23:15and I turn around, there's a challenge of different people.
- 1:23:19There's pockets of different energies all over the room.
- 1:23:22There's two here, 3 here, 5 here, 2 out there, one
- 1:23:26downstairs, one on top. And when I look around, I
- 1:23:30recognize that the commonality between everybody is God and
- 1:23:36Torah. And I love it so much.
- 1:23:39And I want to talk about it with you specifically for a minute
- 1:23:42because you noticed that there's a Thank You Hashem sticker on
- 1:23:44our board. We've been bringing up this
- 1:23:48topic a couple of times and I and I have noticed that it's a
- 1:23:50hot topic for people. So I want to bring it up for a
- 1:23:53minute. And that is what I noticed about
- 1:23:56you guys, that what makes it so special is it's not just about
- 1:23:59the Karlabach, it's the Chava cook.
- 1:24:01You need it all. You need the Torah, you need the
- 1:24:04spirituality, you need the learning, you need the
- 1:24:06emulation. Emulation from a father to a
- 1:24:09child. You need the love of a shock and
- 1:24:12to have a good neighbor. There's so much going on in that
- 1:24:15shul that when davening is over is when everything really
- 1:24:18begins. And it's just such a great thing
- 1:24:20to see. And infusing, then infusing of
- 1:24:22learning, which I love so much. And I see that you consider
- 1:24:26yourself a hava kuknik. Absolutely.
- 1:24:29OK, so as a Hava Kuknik, if I wanted to get in on this Hava
- 1:24:32Kuknik world and I wanted to start with Torah specifically,
- 1:24:37and that's why I'm asking you this question.
- 1:24:39Just the the the island question.
- 1:24:42No, but what's the island question?
- 1:24:44Like if you're stuck on island, what are you going to?
- 1:24:45What's safer? What's safer?
- 1:24:46No, not really. The question I want to ask you
- 1:24:48is because I don't think you can 0 down.
- 1:24:50I want to say for you, we just said that it's not a cook, it's
- 1:24:52a lot of everything. So my question to you is take me
- 1:24:54on the path of learning. And I'm a guy that just, you
- 1:25:01know, I'm, I'm, I'm not proud to admit it and I'm not embarrassed
- 1:25:05to admit it is that I don't really learn a lot.
- 1:25:07And I, I have 100 excuses why. And but the fact is, I do have
- 1:25:14like, you know, my mini series of habrusos.
- 1:25:16I learned when I come to you guys, Zeesh Murmelstein in the
- 1:25:19morning is my Rebbe. Like whatever he teaches me is
- 1:25:21unbelievable. The spirituality, the height.
- 1:25:24And thank you to Zeesh. And that's the VA of the
- 1:25:27Havakkuk, by the way. He's got that whole Ravnavan,
- 1:25:29right? That's what we learned with him,
- 1:25:31right? That's the breast loaf.
- 1:25:32Which is amazing. I think you're, you're, you're,
- 1:25:34you're still, you're almost there.
- 1:25:40So, so I, I get, I get infused of that.
- 1:25:42I, I learned with Alex Chertok on Sundays, we learn Rob Joey,
- 1:25:46which is super cool. And my brother-in-law just
- 1:25:49started learning with me on Fridays and he insists on
- 1:25:53learning tomorrow with me, insists he's like, I don't care.
- 1:25:56You got to learn tomorrow, even if it's for 5 minutes.
- 1:25:58We have to learn tomorrow and breakthrough.
- 1:26:01So I'm on this, you know, path and I started it just a little
- 1:26:05while ago and I give a lot of credit to Arshlovo because it
- 1:26:10awakens something inside me that I knew that existed.
- 1:26:12And it's a beautiful thing. And I really, I think that
- 1:26:15everyone listening to this should know that it exists
- 1:26:18within your community. And it's 100% possible within
- 1:26:21your community to build such a Havakkuk type of system with the
- 1:26:26teens and, and everyone feeding off each other.
- 1:26:30It's up to you to do that thing. We call it EBAS.
- 1:26:34What's that? Ebas every blockage table.
- 1:26:38This is the most important thing.
- 1:26:39Every blockage table, people always ask us you're not afraid
- 1:26:43of a breakaway like afraid encouraging breakaways.
- 1:26:48We don't believe that. Actually, I went starting on
- 1:26:51this Friday night. We don't believe that
- 1:26:55competition in Yiddish guide, there's no competition.
- 1:26:57OK, it's sort of like a Chabad thing.
- 1:26:58Chabad also feels the same way when it comes to spirituality in
- 1:27:01Yiddish Guide and truth. So it's like, take this formula
- 1:27:04and recreate it within your community is what you're saying?
- 1:27:07And this is the reason why when we're redoing the show now,
- 1:27:10we're just adding amenities. We're not making the actual show
- 1:27:13bigger because we want to keep that homie vibe, that feel, that
- 1:27:18stable feel. You don't want to make it
- 1:27:21bigger. Obviously you have to add a
- 1:27:22mikvah as it's not sham bathroom this that but the actual shoe
- 1:27:27staying the same size. I'm so happy to hear that.
- 1:27:29But that's because of the Ebas model.
- 1:27:31We want people to see what we're doing and go out and do it into
- 1:27:35your neighbor. They actually started in 5 lbs,
- 1:27:38opened up a shoe, opened up in five times because of what they
- 1:27:41saw, what we're doing here. Hollywood, FL opened up because
- 1:27:45they saw what we're doing here. People are starting to realize
- 1:27:49that, hey, they, they, if they did it, we can do it.
- 1:27:52Everyone can do it. I I'm going to tell you what you
- 1:27:55guys told me. You do it, you do it well, and
- 1:27:57they will follow like children. They're going to see how good
- 1:28:00it's doing for you and how well it serves you and your life and
- 1:28:03your children. And they're not going to have a
- 1:28:04choice but to recognize that if I want to do something to grow
- 1:28:07and to bring happiness and a sense of a community into my
- 1:28:12world, then I should. E Bath.
- 1:28:15I should E bath. Where's the camera?
- 1:28:17That's my camera. Yes, that's your camera.
- 1:28:19A tip to open up a shul is to involve everyone.
- 1:28:23Build it like the Michigan. We have a, we have Michigan
- 1:28:26Kiddish. When we started building it, it
- 1:28:29was the Michigan. The Michigan needs milk.
- 1:28:31We would put on our WhatsApp chat.
- 1:28:32The Michigan needs milk. People would bring milk.
- 1:28:35Next day, Michigan needs coffee. People would bring coffee.
- 1:28:38We have another thing. If you have an idea, you say it,
- 1:28:40you got to do it. There's no a, by the way.
- 1:28:43We should do this, do it. There's no we should do
- 1:28:47anything. Might be presenting a few
- 1:28:48challenges here, but like you. Have an idea?
- 1:28:51Do it. And if you create that Michigan
- 1:28:54vibe, people check in. People feel that, yeah, this is
- 1:28:58my spot. They'll feel part of it.
- 1:29:01I I love this, so let's. Go tell you two things.
- 1:29:03Yeah, please. 1 is that the first base of Mikdash and the
- 1:29:07second base of Mikdash were not built by everybody and they were
- 1:29:12destroyed. And I just heard this Torah this
- 1:29:15week that the mish gun, the what was so unique when the call for
- 1:29:19the mish gun came, they had to tell people, stop, OK, stop.
- 1:29:23We have enough. This is in a sense, the concept
- 1:29:26of of mish gun. What like Shmilly was saying
- 1:29:29where every single person is important and involved.
- 1:29:32Like you have providers of everything, but what's the most
- 1:29:38important is the guy who shows up to be to, to receive whatever
- 1:29:43is is being given there, that receiving is giving.
- 1:29:47So it's, you know, kind of works together.
- 1:29:49The second thing I wanted to say is that if we're sitting around,
- 1:29:53let's say this table was a bonfire.
- 1:29:56So we're, we can, we can communicate and we're
- 1:29:59appreciating the fire from the, you know, the warmth from the
- 1:30:02fire over time, when the more people that show up, there's
- 1:30:09limited space. We have to spread out because
- 1:30:11the fire gets big. Now I can't necessarily connect
- 1:30:14with you. So what do you do at that point?
- 1:30:16You have to create another fire. This is the same idea.
- 1:30:19The most important thing is connection.
- 1:30:22We always, we always talk about this because we learn together.
- 1:30:26The most, probably the most important thing is, you know,
- 1:30:29you have to dive in together and you have to learn together.
- 1:30:33We always joke like if we're not learning together, it's not
- 1:30:36going to survive because the Torah is like is is like the
- 1:30:39glue that that keeps everything together.
- 1:30:42So if something becomes very big where now there's like a lack of
- 1:30:45connection and this you can't necessarily interact with
- 1:30:48everyone, it becomes very hard. It's like it only for myself.
- 1:30:53I'm a big hugger. I love to hug people.
- 1:30:55It's like a real connection. I think there is one that is the
- 1:31:00same you. Know there's another one the.
- 1:31:03Window but. Sometimes I it gets like I get
- 1:31:07in my own head. I'm like, OK, you just like
- 1:31:10hugging everyone. Is it fake?
- 1:31:12Is it real? And I'm like, do it.
- 1:31:13Of course it's real. It's real because I would just
- 1:31:16want I want that connection. I want that as much connection
- 1:31:21as I can as I can get. So bonfire very important, very
- 1:31:28important. That's like the E best.
- 1:31:30You got to have that where, where whoever are connecting
- 1:31:35small groups, like you were saying about those guys in, in,
- 1:31:38in 42 in spot 42. Very important.
- 1:31:43If you have a a group, obviously your group can grow somewhat.
- 1:31:46And I mean, it's, it's a big challenge for us right now.
- 1:31:50It's a big challenge like as we're growing, like you don't
- 1:31:52want anyone to feel left out. So sometimes when we're doing
- 1:31:55things, it's like whoever is there, this is another big tour.
- 1:32:00You have to show up. You have to show up right now
- 1:32:03like Nissan. They say that the at the end of
- 1:32:07right after Purim, back in the days, well it wasn't after
- 1:32:11Purim, but in the days of the base of Mitash from the 15th of
- 1:32:15Adar, they started preparing for Pesach and the people that would
- 1:32:19that wanted to be involved would show up.
- 1:32:21They would come show up to take care of repairing the roads.
- 1:32:26What are all the different things that were involved in
- 1:32:28preparing Yerushalayim and the base of Mikdash to have an
- 1:32:32influx of people because so many things were happening there.
- 1:32:35So you have to show up. That's very, very important if
- 1:32:39you know if people and that's what happens, you know when
- 1:32:43people realize that they have to show up to get involved, all the
- 1:32:45sudden you end up with a lot of people.
- 1:32:47So now you need more locations for people to show up to.
- 1:32:51And at the end of the day, Yiddish kite is Yiddish kite.
- 1:32:54You have to feel like you belong.
- 1:32:56You have to belong. Like we were saying with the
- 1:32:58kids think they this was a thought that popped in at some
- 1:33:04points, like hearing stories from her Shlomo about, you know,
- 1:33:08Marshall of the Ghana Marshall of the Ghana from each city.
- 1:33:12There was a Marshall of the Ghana of he was just part of
- 1:33:14that village or part of he was part of the program.
- 1:33:17There was the tailor and the this and the water carrier and
- 1:33:20there was the Ghana of but the guy was connected to his town.
- 1:33:24He was he was our Ghana of you know, everyone needs to be
- 1:33:27connected. So kids, adults, we all need, we
- 1:33:33all need to be at the bonfire together.
- 1:33:36We need to be connecting with with groups, which you know,
- 1:33:40we're the PS that's now he wrote a safer about this called Benet
- 1:33:45Marshavatova with the concept that small groups have to get
- 1:33:50together, not because you're better than anyone else.
- 1:33:52It's nothing to do with that. It has to do with it.
- 1:33:54If you really want to grow together, you have to learn
- 1:33:57together. You have to dive in together.
- 1:33:58You have to hang out together and then you can change each
- 1:34:02other's lives on on the deepest level.
- 1:34:05Wow, that's amazing. I didn't even get to ask you the
- 1:34:07question and and you gave me 3 answers for it.
- 1:34:11My question was what that I started asking about how the
- 1:34:13cook is. You know, how do you infuse the
- 1:34:16learning? How do you actually break it
- 1:34:18down for me as someone who doesn't really learn a lot, how
- 1:34:20do I get into that whole learning world?
- 1:34:22And you said a lot by connecting and by being by showing up, and
- 1:34:26you really gave a lot of the answers.
- 1:34:27I don't know if you want to reflect on the question that I
- 1:34:29specifically asked and see if you want to, you know, nail it
- 1:34:31in. But that was my question to you.
- 1:34:33It was like, how do I get to that point of starting to be in
- 1:34:37the process of learning? And what should I open up first
- 1:34:41and what should I open up second?
- 1:34:42And is there a process? Is there anything that you can
- 1:34:44tell me, practically speaking, once I have the desire and I
- 1:34:48want to show up? Follow your heart.
- 1:34:52I heard Weinberger say once that every one of us Arnashama in
- 1:35:01this world, we have to learn Kola torkul.
- 1:35:04So sometimes you have to come back and different gulam to
- 1:35:07complete whatever it is. So sometimes you have that that
- 1:35:12Natia that inclination towards something specific, toward a
- 1:35:16certain Lemud. Start with that.
- 1:35:19Start with whatever is whatever is drawing you, and you're going
- 1:35:22to keep going. I mean, I started.
- 1:35:24I don't know where I started. I have a problem learning
- 1:35:30Gemara, though. I'll tell you, it's the biggest
- 1:35:33challenge for me. Gemara is the biggest challenge.
- 1:35:36It's like you, Mama, should have to break your head.
- 1:35:39It's not, it's not feeding you. You're not getting fed.
- 1:35:42Consider not that it's feeding you like it's feeding you like
- 1:35:51the oil. Really.
- 1:35:52I don't know how to how to break it down, how to separate it, but
- 1:35:59I guess we can tie it into his. Both of this, his both of this,
- 1:36:02like Shamili was saying, is that you have to challenge, you have
- 1:36:05to challenge Hashem. Gamara teaches us to challenge
- 1:36:07everything, right? There's no, there's no the whole
- 1:36:10conversation in Gamara, the whole Li mud is all about
- 1:36:13challenging, challenging this and and that, all with the goal
- 1:36:18of getting to the truth. I don't know if I'm answering
- 1:36:21your question with this as you. Are I mean, first of all, you
- 1:36:24said following your heart and you have a technical challenge
- 1:36:26of Gamara, but you know the beauty within Gamara, what you
- 1:36:29just said, the truth seeking arguments is what I think turns
- 1:36:33everyone on so much. I'm I live a life like that, to
- 1:36:35be honest with you. I love arguing with people in
- 1:36:38order to get to the truth. I love it.
- 1:36:40I don't get offended. I'll, I'll, I'll scream and yell
- 1:36:43and I'll, you know, I'll, I'll get to the truth, but I just
- 1:36:46want to get to the truth and, and, and understanding that
- 1:36:49Gemara has that gets me kind of excited to.
- 1:36:52I look forward now to my Fridays with Shirley and coming over and
- 1:36:56and learning Gemara with me for the three minutes that he, you
- 1:36:59know, manages to get out of me, which is super cool.
- 1:37:03I started recently taking as many cabrusas as I can.
- 1:37:09Like whenever I have time or if I see somebody that's like
- 1:37:12interested, I'm like, hey, you want to make a cabrasa?
- 1:37:16And I might not that be that good.
- 1:37:19Like, I mean, we've made many covers to shop and we still
- 1:37:21learn together, but we started many different limudium over the
- 1:37:27years. And I'm not afraid of it.
- 1:37:29Like, OK, you start something if I don't complete it, OK,
- 1:37:32whatever. Like this is, you know, it's as
- 1:37:35long as I'm, as long as I'm, as long as I'm studying, I'm as
- 1:37:38long as I'm learning and connecting to Hashem, I'm, I'm
- 1:37:41comfortable. I don't get, I don't get bent
- 1:37:43out of shape about it. So nobody should.
- 1:37:46That's just, no, that's a, that's a good one.
- 1:37:48Actually. I like that because I've been
- 1:37:50living that life. One of my most recent habrusas
- 1:37:54is my Roche Hodesh Habrusa. See, I like to do things a
- 1:37:57little differently when it comes to these things.
- 1:37:58Like, you know, I'm not going to learn with you every day.
- 1:38:00I won't see you every other, you know, I'm like, you know, you
- 1:38:03want to learn. Let's do it once a week for 10
- 1:38:05minutes on a Sunday. And that's what I have built up
- 1:38:07over the years. It started with Robbie Burger,
- 1:38:09my rabbi and one of my closest friends and mentor and leader of
- 1:38:13our community, Phenomenal human being.
- 1:38:17It started with him on Fridays. It was 12 years ago.
- 1:38:21And I'm like, I don't really learn.
- 1:38:22And he's like, just let's. Just do it.
- 1:38:24One time, OK, you know what, Fridays for 5 minutes whenever
- 1:38:27you come to me, wherever I am, and I gave him the hardest thing
- 1:38:30to do and he shows up. No matter where I'm having my
- 1:38:33tongue now, he shows up, he'll get into the hot tub if he has
- 1:38:37to. I thank God he hasn't had to do
- 1:38:40it but and he started that process with me.
- 1:38:43So I love what you're saying, which is grab onto the habrusas.
- 1:38:46My recent Rosh Rodesh Rahbrusa is none other than Benzi Race.
- 1:38:50Oh wow, lucky you, Rav Benzi. Rav Benzi Race.
- 1:38:54Yep, we did it twice and I'm looking forward to tomorrow and
- 1:38:59this is going to be aired after Rosh Rodesh, but what a special
- 1:39:02holy time to have the three of you here when it's guys.
- 1:39:12This is the of Molochem and we're the name Molochem.
- 1:39:19Why is it? Why is it so?
- 1:39:27It's the, it's the same Oceos and I think it's brought down
- 1:39:32the Gomaro. It's rush, rush, rush.
- 1:39:34Is that what? It is.
- 1:39:35It's the. Beginning of the year for
- 1:39:37angels. Is this kings or for kings?
- 1:39:41Yeah. Oh, OK.
- 1:39:43That's why you started with David's song Melech Melech
- 1:39:45Melech. It all comes back full circle,
- 1:39:49guys. I have to tell you, this is one
- 1:39:50of the most meaningful conversations I've ever had on
- 1:39:52the podcast and I've had almost 100 and.
- 1:39:56This is the main fighter. I can keep going.
- 1:39:58I can. I can do this all night.
- 1:40:00And I'm loving it. I just, I'm keeping my audience
- 1:40:02in mind. That's like, you know, OK, the
- 1:40:03treadmill's done, the workout's done, the drive is done.
- 1:40:06It's an hour and a half, you know.
- 1:40:07Well, this is not live. You can cut it down.
- 1:40:09Probably not. We've been here for it's 3:00
- 1:40:10AM. We've been here for like 6
- 1:40:12hours. We.
- 1:40:12Literally double. We don't edit anything and we do
- 1:40:14this at night. For those of you that don't
- 1:40:15realize it's 10:00 PM at night right now.
- 1:40:18Thank you Stefan for coming in and always being there,
- 1:40:20available at night, on a Saturday night, on a Sunday
- 1:40:24morning. We've done crazy things to get
- 1:40:25the right people. So we respect the time that it
- 1:40:27takes for you 2 guys to get together and we did it.
- 1:40:30There's a couple of things to unpack that I'm going to let
- 1:40:34everyone themselves unpack. But we have a couple things that
- 1:40:37we like to end with. So I want to head towards the
- 1:40:39ending. 1 of it is always is what's the message that we get
- 1:40:42out of our discussions? And I don't even have to
- 1:40:44identify it because we just did it.
- 1:40:46The entire podcast was message after message after kazoo after
- 1:40:50kazoo. People have been actually
- 1:40:53talking to me about it and saying, you know, I give us some
- 1:40:55business tips and, you know, bring some, you know, regular
- 1:40:58guys that are, you know, struggling or successful and
- 1:41:00talk and, and that's what we're doing here.
- 1:41:02And it's like this conversation is like the epitome of
- 1:41:06everything I'm trying to do on this podcast.
- 1:41:08And the fact that I have so many of you here with me is awesome.
- 1:41:12You know, I, I, I really appreciate it guys.
- 1:41:15I'm a loss of words of just thankful I am for coming in here
- 1:41:18and being vulnerable and opening up and you, your energy together
- 1:41:22is amazing. You guys feed off each other and
- 1:41:24it's wonderful. Do you have any questions for
- 1:41:27me? I like to go through that
- 1:41:28process towards the end of the podcast.
- 1:41:29So I just want to ask you guys. What?
- 1:41:32Why? Why'd you first come to
- 1:41:34Orshlomo? What was what was your Zeesh
- 1:41:35Murmelstein? Oh yeah.
- 1:41:38I first came to Orshlomo because I was having a discussion with
- 1:41:41someone about connecting to God and he asked me, Why do you do
- 1:41:45anything you do? Why do you keep kosher?
- 1:41:47Why do you keep Shabbos? Why do you keep anything?
- 1:41:49And I said, 'cause I love God and everything.
- 1:41:51I said I love God, I love God and I love God.
- 1:41:53And he said, so you don't have any era, you don't have any awe
- 1:41:58of God, not fear, you know, but you don't have any awe of God.
- 1:42:02So I said honestly, I don't think I do.
- 1:42:03And he started to explain to me that that's where it's Fila
- 1:42:06comes in from. That's where the idea of opening
- 1:42:08up at the Hillam and crying or davening and being in awe of God
- 1:42:10or davening in in for with a minion or without a minion, just
- 1:42:14putting on tilling. These things that are difficult
- 1:42:16for us to do as Jews are the things that connect us through
- 1:42:19the era of God, which it gives us the balance of being with
- 1:42:22God. So someone told this to me and I
- 1:42:23mentioned this on the podcast earlier and kudos to him.
- 1:42:26Doobie. We had that conversation.
- 1:42:28Six months later, I'm telling this over to Zish and Zish tells
- 1:42:32me just just come to Harshalomo. And I'm like, yeah, but I'm not
- 1:42:35ready. I'm not, don't even do anything.
- 1:42:38Just come, just walk in and just sit down and just absorb and
- 1:42:42just, and I did. It took me a few weeks and I
- 1:42:44came and I'll never forget the first time I came walking up
- 1:42:46there. Where were they up to?
- 1:42:47Like where is it up to? Like Dan, you were.
- 1:42:49Standing on the you were there. Yeah, outside.
- 1:42:51And they were starting to dive in and I came to Bassekin.
- 1:42:55And also what you said is so beautiful.
- 1:42:57The night turning into day and recognizing it's wow, so much
- 1:43:00time back from this conversation, guys, I love it.
- 1:43:04I walked up there and I started getting emotional.
- 1:43:06The second I got my first hug. I didn't, I mean, I didn't have
- 1:43:09to say anything. I just started walking up the
- 1:43:11steps and the greeting that I got from the people hanging out
- 1:43:13there, it was so real. We're missing so much of that in
- 1:43:18today's world that like, you know, usually you walk up to a a
- 1:43:22shul or a meeting of people, you just walk right by and nobody
- 1:43:24says hello to you. Here it's hard to walk by people
- 1:43:27without getting a hug and hearing it's Vartora and hearing
- 1:43:30a word of siata, the Shamaya, something divine Providence that
- 1:43:33happened in a person's life or a good story.
- 1:43:36And recently watching the construction happening is just
- 1:43:39amazing guys, Amazing. And kudos to you.
- 1:43:42So what turned me on is that is that walking in and then I, I
- 1:43:47went through the process and yeah, that's, I could talk a lot
- 1:43:51more about it, but it's literally for a whole other
- 1:43:54holiday. So that's, that's my answer to
- 1:43:55you. You have any questions for me?
- 1:44:02Not that I can think of. You.
- 1:44:05Know as soon as we wrap it up, I will.
- 1:44:06Yeah, as soon as soon as we. OK, no problem.
- 1:44:08No worries. It's fine.
- 1:44:09There's three of you here. You don't need 3 questions.
- 1:44:11It's OK. Any questions?
- 1:44:13Yeah, Who'd you vote for? Oh my God, I forgot.
- 1:44:18So now that we're old enough and established enough in the
- 1:44:21community, we have friends that are the mayor and the trustees.
- 1:44:25It's like big hawk, you know, so these guys in Wesley Hills are
- 1:44:28running completely unopposed, but they call me and they're
- 1:44:30like, it's, it's one thing that we're unopposed, but if nobody
- 1:44:33shows up to at least support us, we look like idiots next time
- 1:44:36around. So come on, make sure we get
- 1:44:38like a few 100 votes. So I, you know, gathered a
- 1:44:40couple people. I put the sticker on.
- 1:44:41I walked around proudly that I voted for Yitzy Churns and
- 1:44:45Milton Schwartz to be the whatever the mockers of Wesley
- 1:44:48Hills. And the reality is that it helps
- 1:44:50to have people within your community serving on these types
- 1:44:53of positions because they it helps with the growth of our
- 1:44:56community at the end of the day for our needs.
- 1:44:58And 100%, that's what this is. That's Damon Pomona.
- 1:45:02Mandy Lasker is out there helping the community.
- 1:45:06Helped us tremendously with the construction of the shul as
- 1:45:09well. The Mayor, Fuchs.
- 1:45:11And the mayor, Elon? Not for nothing I I wear this
- 1:45:15also because a reminder, and I like saying it, that voting is
- 1:45:19probably only important in your community.
- 1:45:21Right. Yeah, especially being a New
- 1:45:23Yorker. I have a real question, please.
- 1:45:26You started doing this about a year ago, right?
- 1:45:29Yeah. None of your business podcast.
- 1:45:31A year and a half ago, yeah. Probably takes up a lot of your
- 1:45:33time, yeah, thinking about it, producing it, editing,
- 1:45:38marketing, all that. How do you balance that with
- 1:45:41your business? I, it's such an easy question to
- 1:45:45answer because I've said it before, I have amazing, amazing,
- 1:45:48amazing, amazing people. I hire people that are smarter
- 1:45:52than me. I pay them more than what they
- 1:45:54deserve. I give them opportunities for
- 1:45:56partnership so that I can do podcast so that I can work on
- 1:45:59the beach, so that I can, you know, focus on trade shows and
- 1:46:05brand building, which is what I'm good at.
- 1:46:08So I love that question because my answer is a message to anyone
- 1:46:11listening. Find what you're good at in your
- 1:46:13world of success. Find what you're not good at.
- 1:46:16Replace it with other people. Give away partnerships, give
- 1:46:19away money. It's ultimately not ours anyways
- 1:46:22to keep. So what's?
- 1:46:23The purpose of the podcast? Purpose of the podcast was
- 1:46:26simply a branding move. So from a from a marketing and
- 1:46:29branding perspective, we go to a lot of conferences and trade
- 1:46:31shows. So we want to be top of mind,
- 1:46:34which is a mentality in marketing.
- 1:46:36So whenever we go to trade show, Hey, saw you on the podcast.
- 1:46:38Love your podcast. So that's the concept of why we
- 1:46:41have the podcast, but what and how and when And we're
- 1:46:44ultimately it's got to be authentic.
- 1:46:45So it's turned into growth oriented.
- 1:46:48What can we learn from one another?
- 1:46:50What are some business tips? What are some life tips?
- 1:46:52Raising children, families, relationships.
- 1:46:54And those are the things that are important to me.
- 1:46:57So, you know, I think that people want to do business with
- 1:47:00people that share values. People want to do business with
- 1:47:03people that are positive, that are growing, and that's what we
- 1:47:06are. And that's what I want people to
- 1:47:07know that prime sources and the Prime source is a company that
- 1:47:11shares in the same common values as most of the people that are
- 1:47:14listening to this podcast of growth, God, Israel, people,
- 1:47:18family relationships, you know, and so on.
- 1:47:21So I'm loving every second of this.
- 1:47:23And yeah, appreciate that question, right.
- 1:47:26I'm sure listen, I'm sure you grew from the podcast, from
- 1:47:29people coming every week. It's like giving receiving, like
- 1:47:33you give out a podcast, but you receive growth from it.
- 1:47:39Yeah. Yeah, a lot more than than I
- 1:47:42ever imagined. And kudos to Stefan and to Will
- 1:47:45that are constantly working throughout the week.
- 1:47:46It's a lot of work. It's a full time job to edit and
- 1:47:50cut and understand where and how and understanding YouTube,
- 1:47:53understanding Instagram, understanding status,
- 1:47:55understanding people and figure out the algorithm and so on and
- 1:47:58so forth. But it's worth every second
- 1:48:00because of moments like this. That's that's truly how I feel.
- 1:48:04Thank you, Osham. Thank you, Osham.
- 1:48:06Indeed. We're going to have to wrap up
- 1:48:08in a minute, but one of the other things that we always
- 1:48:10leave off with is if you started a podcast, Abe, who would be
- 1:48:13your first guest? Wow.
- 1:48:17Same question for you, David. Same question for you, Smiley.
- 1:48:22Can I go first? You go for it.
- 1:48:25I would bring on a show Makalbach.
- 1:48:29Very good. I was hoping you would say that
- 1:48:32and simply because you brought Nishama Kalabak to your shul.
- 1:48:36I think she was. First time in 10 years she came
- 1:48:39to a room gathering so I called her up.
- 1:48:44I actually tried getting in touch with her and I couldn't
- 1:48:46get in touch with her. So I called Sammy and trader to
- 1:48:49get in touch with her and Sammy told me this story about was
- 1:48:53last year with Shlomo's life and he started playing with Nishama
- 1:48:58and Shul music and he's bored, didn't like it.
- 1:49:02His closest friends wanted to take him to the Toyota to get
- 1:49:05rid of him. It's a tough year for his like
- 1:49:08last year of his life. And if Shlomo once told Sammy
- 1:49:13he's like, I don't understand, let's call him Yankel.
- 1:49:16I don't understand Yankel. If Yankel's daughter would have
- 1:49:20need care of I would have turned the world upside down to give
- 1:49:24her care of. So why doesn't Janko understand
- 1:49:27that I'm doing this to my daughter?
- 1:49:30I'm playing with her because I want to be in the car of her.
- 1:49:34Anyway, I got in touch with Neshama and we got onto the
- 1:49:37phone. We started talking and I told
- 1:49:40her I want to. I invited her to slomos your
- 1:49:43side. I said come, your husband, your
- 1:49:45kids, you live in Westchester. It's half an hour from us.
- 1:49:49It's the only show in America besides the main kabakh show
- 1:49:53that's not really operational during the week.
- 1:49:56It's Shabbos or other colors when you're there.
- 1:49:58You have storefronts. This is a full on Hasidic center
- 1:50:03on your father's name. Come.
- 1:50:07So she said to me, by the way, you're the first person that
- 1:50:10invited me in 10 years. The first person in the front
- 1:50:14community invited me in 10 years.
- 1:50:15So I told her the story that Sammy told me.
- 1:50:17And then she, like she became all emotional.
- 1:50:20She never heard that story before.
- 1:50:23And I told her the front community in the last 10 years
- 1:50:26changed a lot of walls, came down and told her of Nachman's
- 1:50:32the Kuda Toeva Park to find the Kuda Toeva.
- 1:50:35And she really liked the idea these these wrestler ideas.
- 1:50:41And I told her, listen, I think we have to bring you down here.
- 1:50:46And we invited her and we she, she came down my last month a
- 1:50:52few weeks ago for a women's concert.
- 1:50:55It's the first time she sang only for women.
- 1:50:58That's that's a step. And it was amazing.
- 1:51:01I heard back from the women. Their energy in the room was was
- 1:51:04crowded. It was smash holy energy in the
- 1:51:08room. And I think we owe it to RIP
- 1:51:13Slomo for everything RIP Slomo gave to us.
- 1:51:16We owe it to RIP Slomo to try to be in the car of his his kids,
- 1:51:21his any course. We just owe it to him.
- 1:51:24I'm sure he's looking down from Shamayam and having Nashas from
- 1:51:28it smiling. Wow, that's beautiful.
- 1:51:33You want to wake her up and tell her to come on the podcast or
- 1:51:35you'll just ask her. Yeah, I'll just.
- 1:51:39That's a good one, I actually not ashamed to admit it.
- 1:51:42I listen to Nashama a lot. She has a song with a church.
- 1:51:47It's a really, really cool song with the church choir.
- 1:51:50It's not in the church, but the church choir that she sings a
- 1:51:53song and it's just phenomenal and it's one of the most
- 1:51:57beautiful songs I've ever heard in my life in terms of the music
- 1:52:00and the melody and the harmonies and the instruments.
- 1:52:04It's Lord take me higher, right? Like it's I think it's that
- 1:52:07song. I'll I'll have to find it.
- 1:52:08But amazing. I I look forward to having her
- 1:52:11here at God willing soon. What about you, Abe?
- 1:52:13You have you have any thoughts? I do have a question, yeah.
- 1:52:17How did you get a Caruso with Bensi?
- 1:52:24I'm going to answer you the question, but first, do you have
- 1:52:26any thoughts of anyone or are we going to just pass through it?
- 1:52:28No, you'll jump on to Neshama. It's OK.
- 1:52:30We we can use Shmili's recommendation.
- 1:52:32Who would you recommend? Who would be your guest if you
- 1:52:34started a podcast tomorrow? Who would you want to sit in
- 1:52:36front of and schmooze with and breakdown?
- 1:52:39Uncover. My father.
- 1:52:45Wow. Yeah, this.
- 1:52:47I have so many questions for him.
- 1:52:48And over the years, like there's been so many times where I've
- 1:52:53got, I've gone to him and told him like I want to discuss this,
- 1:52:56this, this with you. But life, life just happens, you
- 1:53:00know, like I, I was lucky enough to go visit my parents or we
- 1:53:06were, we went, we had, we were in Israel right before, right
- 1:53:11before Shabba Zakhar for like 40 hours and went straight.
- 1:53:18It was like, so yeah, yeah. Would you do it here?
- 1:53:23Absolutely. Really.
- 1:53:24You would bring him on here and have conversations that we can
- 1:53:26participate in and talk? That's amazing.
- 1:53:28I love that. OK.
- 1:53:29We gave Caruso with, you know, the whole family thing.
- 1:53:32I love that. But part of one of the guys that
- 1:53:34I met the other night that have this group of friends is him and
- 1:53:37his wife have a podcast and they talk to each other about the
- 1:53:40challenges that they face and they have faced.
- 1:53:43And this guy went through a separation, almost went through
- 1:53:46a divorce, and he got back together with his wife and he's
- 1:53:49now an intimacy coach, a male intimacy coach that worked
- 1:53:53through his challenges and openly discusses things with his
- 1:53:56wife. And they're going to be coming
- 1:53:58on the podcast here soon. That's wow.
- 1:53:59That would be amazing. So I'm going to love to unpack
- 1:54:01that and unpack what you were saying also.
- 1:54:03And before we move on to David, So what were you saying before
- 1:54:05that? I said I have to get back to do
- 1:54:06any of us remember? Thank you.
- 1:54:09Benson called me for money, called me for money.
- 1:54:14And I said, you know, I, I always, whenever anyone calls me
- 1:54:19for anything in general, I always look at the opportunity
- 1:54:21that lies within it. And I said absolutely, I'm glad
- 1:54:24to. In fact, you know what I want to
- 1:54:26give to your yeshiva not only now, but every Rosh Kodesh, but
- 1:54:30with a caveat. You got to call me and we got to
- 1:54:32learn something. And you want to hear the
- 1:54:35craziest part? I asked him.
- 1:54:38I asked him what are we going to learn?
- 1:54:39And guess what he told me. Whatever your heart desires.
- 1:54:46We're related. You're absolutely related and
- 1:54:50wow, amazing. I'm so honored that you were
- 1:54:52here with us. Like that recommendation.
- 1:54:54I'm going to jump all over that. It's one of the things also that
- 1:54:57I'm trying to do now is I don't have any podcast saved.
- 1:55:00I don't have like 20 saved so like when someone recommends
- 1:55:03someone I want to jump all over and get that person here and
- 1:55:05then just have that continuity Rev. Do you have any thoughts I.
- 1:55:10Had a couple let me hear. My first thought was to let you
- 1:55:12know that the mikvah naming was still available, but after
- 1:55:15hearing the caveats that you give to the people that you
- 1:55:17donate to, I thought I'd step back.
- 1:55:20Go to the mikvah. With me, I don't want to know
- 1:55:22what your caveat would be, but but it is available.
- 1:55:25So there are sponsorship opportunities available for the
- 1:55:27Arsaloma Hasidic Center. Have a cook people and the
- 1:55:30mikvah is a big one. What's the price tag on a mikvah
- 1:55:33sponsorship? I think it's. 250, let's say,
- 1:55:37OK, so if somebody wants to have it's a seal of a deal, you're
- 1:55:39saying in terms of the mitzvah and the Kia mitzvah and the
- 1:55:42addition to that, OK, so cool, you got that plug.
- 1:55:44What else did you want to say? You were asking who, who, who,
- 1:55:46who would have on a podcast. Yeah, who would be your
- 1:55:49suggestion? Like who would be your first?
- 1:55:52There's so many different people that I could think of that are
- 1:55:54interesting that I like to sit with and unpack things with.
- 1:55:56But probably say Rabi Viggler. Rabi Yessi Viggler.
- 1:56:01Rabi Yessi Viggler. I don't know him.
- 1:56:02Marine Park. What is he?
- 1:56:04Marine Park, Brooklyn, Flatbush. Yeah.
- 1:56:07Very dynamic. Understands business on a high
- 1:56:11level. Really understands people.
- 1:56:13Really. I love someone.
- 1:56:14I would love to. Would you join?
- 1:56:16I would. Really.
- 1:56:17Yeah. I like this pattern here.
- 1:56:19OK, good. We're building on to something.
- 1:56:21Yeah. Any final thoughts guys?
- 1:56:24I, I I want to continue for. Yeah, I want to go to like, what
- 1:56:26time is it now? I could, but I just want to ask.
- 1:56:28I want to give a shout out to Rabzish first of all, that he
- 1:56:32brought you in, but it's really a a huge thank you to Hashem
- 1:56:36that that Rabzish started coming to the shul and started giving
- 1:56:40sheer because like it's everything is organic and Hashem
- 1:56:44really has been taking care of us in amazing ways.
- 1:56:47And he came at the right time, like he came and we started
- 1:56:51learning together. Before Nate's for a while, I had
- 1:56:54AI had a cabrusso and the Ruptia Friedman who moved, who moved to
- 1:56:59Israel, actually actually started with Bernie.
- 1:57:02I started learning with Bernie 1st and then Ruptia joined us
- 1:57:04and then and then after Bernie left, he made Alia, which is
- 1:57:09really the goal. Every one of us should be,
- 1:57:12should have that on our minds and our hearts.
- 1:57:14And we should all shouldn't scare.
- 1:57:17We should be Zolka to move as soon as possible, not because
- 1:57:21we're afraid of anything, but because that's where we belong.
- 1:57:23Amen. And so I just felt that it was
- 1:57:27important, like, like, Mom, Hashem really has taken care of
- 1:57:32us in every single way. Like, I mean, there's so many
- 1:57:35other stories that I can tell you or that we can say about
- 1:57:38things that have fallen into place in or Slomo being that
- 1:57:43Zeesh was the one who kind of brought you in.
- 1:57:47I feel like it's very important. Thank you, Zeesh.
- 1:57:50It's no, it's huge. It's thank you, Hashem.
- 1:57:52It's huge. It really is like he, he, you
- 1:57:56know, he's feeling, he's feeling something where there could have
- 1:58:00been a potential vacuum. And it's amazing and we really
- 1:58:03appreciate it. We really appreciate him.
- 1:58:06I appreciate you saying that. A lot of appreciation going
- 1:58:08around, which is a good thing and a healthy thing.
- 1:58:11And guys, again, amazing discussion because we got to
- 1:58:15wrap up. I want to thank all of our
- 1:58:16subscribers, our comments, the feedback has been amazing.
- 1:58:21Some of you have noticed of certain things that you've given
- 1:58:23feedback on and because we're listening and we appreciate it.
- 1:58:27And this is of course sponsored by the Prime Source production
- 1:58:30team. Prime Source is all about
- 1:58:32spending our money wisely for our facilities and figuring out
- 1:58:36which vendors and service providers and products to use in
- 1:58:40senior care facilities. And one of the ways we do it is
- 1:58:43we market products and we have this beautiful podcast, the None
- 1:58:46of Your Business podcast that is making an impact tremendously.
- 1:58:50And we're able to showcase our abilities in terms of marketing
- 1:58:53and brand building and you know, and being top of mind.
- 1:58:57So it's amazing. So we think all of our clients,
- 1:58:58our listeners, my partners, my employees that really are like a
- 1:59:02family and without you guys, none of this can happen.
- 1:59:05So it's amazing. We appreciate it guys, each and
- 1:59:07every one of you. Thank you for what you do.
- 1:59:09Thank you for the the amazing energy.
- 1:59:12Thank you to all the people that have moved up in life and that
- 1:59:15are not with us in terms of, you know, right now on a daily
- 1:59:19basis. But we've learned from them.
- 1:59:22We adapted and we're moving and we're shaking and we're
- 1:59:25energizing and we're connecting and it's amazing and I really,
- 1:59:29really appreciate it. Kazakh Uber.
- 1:59:31I didn't try this.
