Luna: Oh, perfect. I actually need to go to the bank later. Lucas: Good. So the word for bank is ባንክ. Say it with me: ባንክ. Luna: ባንክ. Lucas: Yeah. And post office is ፖስታ ቤት. Together: ፖስታ ቤት. Luna: ፖስታ ቤት. Lucas: Great. Now, to ask where the bank is, you say: ባንኩ የት ነው? Luna: ባንኩ የት ነው? Lucas: Exactly. And if you need to express that you need to go somewhere, you can say: ወደ ባንክ መሄድ እፈልጋለሁ. Luna: That's a mouthful. ወደ ባንክ መሄድ እፈልጋለሁ. Lucas: You've got it. Or for the post office: ወደ ፖስታ ቤት መሄድ እፈልጋለሁ. Luna: ወደ ፖስታ ቤት መሄድ እፈልጋለሁ. Lucas: Perfect. Let's try a little scene. I'll be a stranger on the street. You ask me where the bank is. Luna: Okay. Excuse me, ባንኩ የት ነው? Lucas: I point and say, over there. Then you say, thanks! Now you go to the bank and say to the teller: ወደ ባንክ መሄድ እፈልጋለሁ. Luna: ወደ ባንክ መሄድ እፈልጋለሁ. Lucas: Awesome. Now think about when you'd need the post office. Maybe to mail a package? Luna: Right. So I'd say: ወደ ፖስታ ቤት መሄድ እፈልጋለሁ. Lucas: There you go. And if you're lost, just ask: ፖስታ ቤቱ የት ነው?
