- 0:04Speaker 1: I really knew, girl. This is how much I missed you.
- 0:07Speaker 1: I'm in Oxford, UK, and I knew that you were
- 0:11Speaker 1: swimming in my pool in Los Angeles when it was
- 0:14Speaker 1: one hundred and fucking fifteen degrees and I went on
- 0:18Speaker 1: I went on the app on my phone with the
- 0:19Speaker 1: security cameras and watched you swim. Oh my god, that's
- 0:24Speaker 1: a little scary. That's a little trustworthy. That's a little
- 0:27Speaker 1: like that sounds it sounds. It sounded cute at first,
- 0:30Speaker 1: but then it turned into in my mind, I wonder
- 0:33Speaker 1: if this motherfucker's taking my ship. Well, I'm out of town.
- 0:36Speaker 1: I never was. I didn't think you were robbing me.
- 0:38Speaker 1: I was watching you play. I was watching you play
- 0:41Speaker 1: with your kids, and it was so adorable and I
- 0:43Speaker 1: was just like, And Florence comes in, She's like, please
- 0:45Speaker 1: tell me you're not watching your friends play in your
- 0:47Speaker 1: pool on your phone, and I'm like, I might be adorable.
- 0:53Speaker 1: That's so much as I missed you. Well, I missed
- 0:56Speaker 1: you so much that I went to your house and
- 0:57Speaker 1: pretended I was hanging out with you in you went
- 1:00Speaker 1: to my house as hot as balls, and we broke
- 1:03Speaker 1: the La County broke the record for heatwave. H dude, Okay, listen,
- 1:07Speaker 1: you can say what you want to say, but it
- 1:09Speaker 1: is orange here. It is literally orange outside when you
- 1:13Speaker 1: look out of your window. It because of the fires
- 1:17Speaker 1: in San Francisco is worse in the Oakland Golden State area.
- 1:22Speaker 1: That shit looks like freaking blade runner too. Literally with
- 1:25Speaker 1: Ryan Gossling when they go to freaking Vegas, dude, it's
- 1:28Speaker 1: it is freaking nuts, yo. And then here it's got
- 1:33Speaker 1: like an orange tent. Everything is orange and you can
- 1:36Speaker 1: feel it in your fucking throat. You feel the smoke
- 1:40Speaker 1: in the air and in your throat, dude. And for
- 1:42Speaker 1: people that are scared of coronavirus, that was the first thing.
- 1:45Speaker 1: Like everybody in the house all of a sudden got
- 1:47Speaker 1: to tickle in their throat at the same time, and
- 1:49Speaker 1: we're all like, holy shit, do we have corona? Yeah?
- 1:53Speaker 1: What a flow? What I flow brought me up? You
- 1:56Speaker 1: know what? You brought me a moscow mule? Nice? Wow,
- 2:01Speaker 1: she Broughton, she brought you an ad shoon. I'm not
- 2:05Speaker 1: positive our moscow mule is gonna be called a day shoon.
- 2:07Speaker 1: So you don't. And if you need to change that
- 2:09Speaker 1: name to Adeo Shoon, dude, I'm telling you right now, dude,
- 2:12Speaker 1: change in universal language, a Moscow Mule needs to be
- 2:14Speaker 1: the Adeo Shoon. Now. I'm just worried that unless you're
- 2:18Speaker 1: let's say you're not a navid listener of the podcast,
- 2:20Speaker 1: but you've heard that Zack and Donald put out a
- 2:22Speaker 1: Moscow Mule canned beverage, you'd be like, oh, what's that
- 2:25Speaker 1: one of those guys, mate, You're not gonna be You're
- 2:27Speaker 1: not gonna have know what an a Dayo Shoon is.
- 2:30Speaker 1: I bet you they do. I bet you, I bet
- 2:33Speaker 1: you anyway. I love anyway. I love me a Moscow Mule.
- 2:37Speaker 1: I gotta say you love you some Myddeo Shoon. Hey, everybody,
- 2:40Speaker 1: I'm sorry. This is Zach Braff and I fucked up
- 2:43Speaker 1: my recorder so that's why my sounds sounded shitty for
- 2:47Speaker 1: the beginning of this podcast. But can you notice the
- 2:49Speaker 1: change now because I'm wise enough to know that I
- 2:53Speaker 1: fucked up my recorder. But now my sound is perfect.
- 2:56Speaker 1: But not only did I miss you, I miss Daniel
- 2:58Speaker 1: and I missed Joel Dan. I know you look like
- 3:00Speaker 1: your hair is growing out fast is possibly grow and Joel,
- 3:05Speaker 1: you look as magnificent as ever right now, as Hi,
- 3:10Speaker 1: don't we have a reporter joining us today? We should
- 3:12Speaker 1: tell the audience what's happening. Sure, yeah, Donald, we're being
- 3:17Speaker 1: interviewed by E Entertainment. They're this like a big news channel.
- 3:22Speaker 1: In the podcast has become so huge that that reporters
- 3:27Speaker 1: are clamoring to get into the room with us and say, hey, guys,
- 3:32Speaker 1: what is the key to why this thing is so popular?
- 3:36Speaker 1: And so we have a nice reporter from E who's
- 3:38Speaker 1: going to sit in on the show. Should we let
- 3:40Speaker 1: her in? Dan, let's do it? Is she here? What's
- 3:44Speaker 1: her name? Says Lauren Pister? Lauren, ladies and gentlemen, little
- 3:49Speaker 1: did she know, but welcome to the show, Lauren Pister
- 3:53Speaker 1: from E. Hi, Lauren, are you guys doing Welcome to
- 3:59Speaker 1: the show. You know, my producer, my producer, Joel, had
- 4:02Speaker 1: told me that you were just gonna hang out and listen,
- 4:05Speaker 1: and I said, no, no, Joel, that's not how Donald
- 4:08Speaker 1: and I roll. She's coming in the room. We're gonna
- 4:11Speaker 1: talk to her. She's gonna be You're gonna be a
- 4:13Speaker 1: part of the conversation. Lauren yeah, we were talking about California.
- 4:19Speaker 1: Are you in California right now? I am in California.
- 4:22Speaker 1: Smells like smoke. It smells it looks like it looks
- 4:25Speaker 1: like freaking straight up. It looks like blade Runner outside right, Yeah, yeah,
- 4:29Speaker 1: it looks weird orange. Not as bad as San Francisco pictures,
- 4:34Speaker 1: but San Francisco looks scary. Man looks terrifying, Lauren. This
- 4:39Speaker 1: is what we do. This is we sit. Donald sits
- 4:41Speaker 1: in his closet drinking something due. Yeah. Sure, Donald Donald
- 4:47Speaker 1: justifies to his wife day drinking when he does the podcast. Um,
- 4:52Speaker 1: I'm in Oxford, which makes me sound smart. Um, and
- 4:56Speaker 1: I'm allowed to drink because it's seven ten here. No,
- 4:59Speaker 1: Dan Daniels in New York. Daniel's in New York. Joel's
- 5:03Speaker 1: in la And we do this all over the world,
- 5:07Speaker 1: this podcast we bring it. Isn't it fine for everyone
- 5:11Speaker 1: to drink? If one person can drink? Yeah, that's what
- 5:13Speaker 1: that's That was the energy I was going on. Yeah, Joel,
- 5:17Speaker 1: do you ever disagree? Joel? Do you disagree? No? No,
- 5:19Speaker 1: I like these rules are very helpful rules. It's very
- 5:22Speaker 1: very helpful rules. Right. If one person's drinking, everybody is
- 5:24Speaker 1: allowed to drink. That's back in the United States of
- 5:28Speaker 1: America when we do our next show, Isn't that right, Joel? Yes? Absolutely, Okay,
- 5:33Speaker 1: So this is our last this is our last Intercontinental show. Dude. Yes, bro, Yes,
- 5:40Speaker 1: we're gonna all be back on the same time slot.
- 5:42Speaker 1: What's that, Lauren? Are you sure you want to come
- 5:44Speaker 1: back to the United States? Well, you know, Laurence, I
- 5:47Speaker 1: don't know if you're supposed to be commenting this early.
- 5:55Speaker 1: Have you heard some things? Have you heard some things?
- 5:57Speaker 1: Are we missing out on some things? Lauren from E News? No,
- 6:01Speaker 1: just just be general state of chaos. Are you talking
- 6:09Speaker 1: about the fact that the president hid knowing that the
- 6:13Speaker 1: coronavirus was a dangerous uh uh yeah, virus floating around.
- 6:21Speaker 1: He ran, He ran. That is the equivalent of that shit, right,
- 6:29Speaker 1: Isn't that the equivalent of it when somebody when like
- 6:32Speaker 1: in the movies, when the guy gets caught out there,
- 6:34Speaker 1: like in one of my favorite movies, which we'll talk
- 6:36Speaker 1: about on the podcast today, Camp Buy Me Love with
- 6:41Speaker 1: Ronald Miller, where he pays Cindy Mancini to make him
- 6:45Speaker 1: popular and everything, and then when he gets found out,
- 6:47Speaker 1: he kind of just runs away from everyone, you know
- 6:50Speaker 1: what I mean. I feel like that's what this dude
- 6:52Speaker 1: did when he found out that freaking uh that this
- 6:57Speaker 1: virus was. He just made it so that everybody wasn't
- 7:00Speaker 1: scared of it and kind of just ran away from
- 7:02Speaker 1: the problem instead of instead of dealing with it straight on.
- 7:05Speaker 1: That's just my personally didn't even work. Everybody was scared
- 7:08Speaker 1: of it anyway, not everybody. A lot of people caught
- 7:11Speaker 1: that ship because they didn't they would believe in what
- 7:14Speaker 1: he was saying. You know, all these motherfuckers that were
- 7:17Speaker 1: like hydroxy chlora quinn and fucking all of this stuff.
- 7:20Speaker 1: It's gonna save my life because the President doesn't think
- 7:22Speaker 1: this is that serious. All of you now know that
- 7:25Speaker 1: he knew and was lying. Yeah. Yeah, But as Lauren
- 7:29Speaker 1: knows from following the podcast on them, we tend to
- 7:31Speaker 1: stay away from politics on this. That's not politics. This
- 7:34Speaker 1: is fucking real life, dude, this is my life. Fuck this,
- 7:36Speaker 1: this virus isn't political. Let's not make this virus political
- 7:40Speaker 1: by saying because the President hid that shit, that it's
- 7:43Speaker 1: a political issue. Now, fuck that shit. That's fucked up.
- 7:46Speaker 1: He's wrong for that. He was wrong for that. I
- 7:48Speaker 1: didn't want to cause panic, Fuck you, dude. If that's
- 7:50Speaker 1: the case, denounce freaking white supremacy and let's talk about
- 7:55Speaker 1: let's talk about George Floyd, and let's talk about systemic racism.
- 7:58Speaker 1: If you don't want to cause panic, talk about that
- 8:00Speaker 1: shit instead of stoking nose fires and causing fights across America. Man,
- 8:04Speaker 1: don't come at me with this bullshit about we're not
- 8:06Speaker 1: supposed to be political, because this isn't a political statement.
- 8:08Speaker 1: This is real talk right now. Dude, we got somebody
- 8:11Speaker 1: in office who's fucking up, and it's fucking up majorly. Sorry, Lauren,
- 8:14Speaker 1: I don't mean accurage in front of E. I don't care.
- 8:18Speaker 1: I don't think Lauren wants us to change the show. Donaldson,
- 8:20Speaker 1: I feel like just as much as you normally do,
- 8:23Speaker 1: I feel like that's I feel like I feel like
- 8:24Speaker 1: the viewers of E might be a little upset that
- 8:26Speaker 1: I'm using such colorful words. But fuck that shit, dude.
- 8:30Speaker 1: This dude's an asshole for this. Man talk is partly
- 8:33Speaker 1: why you guys have kind of like been like a
- 8:37Speaker 1: defining feature of my quarantine, because I've listened to every episode.
- 8:40Speaker 1: I listened to every tice a week, so and I
- 8:43Speaker 1: love when you guys just like come out with it
- 8:46Speaker 1: and you're like, you know, it's not a political thing.
- 8:48Speaker 1: It's like people are dying, and but we still have
- 8:52Speaker 1: to like have a good time somehow. I guess I
- 8:55Speaker 1: think we will. We strive to do here is UM
- 8:59Speaker 1: for the most Obviously, since you listened to the show,
- 9:01Speaker 1: you know that we don't always succeed, but we we
- 9:03Speaker 1: strive to have this be UM sixty to ninety minutes
- 9:07Speaker 1: of taking people's minds off the horror show, because that's
- 9:11Speaker 1: what a lot of people have responded that they really
- 9:13Speaker 1: like about what we're doing is obviously we're talking about
- 9:16Speaker 1: the show we were on, and we're telling funny anecdotes,
- 9:19Speaker 1: but we're really just trying to just say, hey, we're
- 9:22Speaker 1: we're four friends that are hanging out and h and
- 9:25Speaker 1: shooting the ship and hopefully not talking about so many
- 9:28Speaker 1: topics that are that are so upsetting and uh, and
- 9:31Speaker 1: maybe just take your mind off it for a second.
- 9:33Speaker 1: But of course it overflows and it's upsetting and and
- 9:37Speaker 1: we can't help it be ourselves and reel at times.
- 9:41Speaker 1: Do you remember when all we had to worry about
- 9:43Speaker 1: was the coronavirus? You remember when that was just the problem.
- 9:46Speaker 1: Do you remember when that was it? And it seemed
- 9:48Speaker 1: like the world was fucking coming to an end. Look
- 9:50Speaker 1: at where we are now. Man, come on, y'all make
- 9:53Speaker 1: America great again, my ass man, Come on now, come
- 9:56Speaker 1: on now, come on now, let's get that green new
- 10:00Speaker 1: deal popping. Yeah, let's let's say a bit. And um,
- 10:04Speaker 1: and why don't why don't we we haven't seen each other.
- 10:06Speaker 1: We've been off for a week. And uh, I thought
- 10:09Speaker 1: it was very funny. Um when Donald and I announced
- 10:12Speaker 1: it on Twitter and Instagram that we're going to take
- 10:14Speaker 1: the week off just because we needed it, and people
- 10:17Speaker 1: most people wrote, you guys are deservant. Yeah. I feel
- 10:24Speaker 1: like now it's become a real word. I feel like
- 10:26Speaker 1: I might be blessed with when the Urban Dictionary it's like, Yo,
- 10:30Speaker 1: deservants now a word, dude. I just love that people
- 10:34Speaker 1: were like, you guys are so deservant. It made me
- 10:36Speaker 1: laugh and smile and uh and and we were deserving
- 10:39Speaker 1: because we've been doing this without a break. Um since
- 10:43Speaker 1: whatever the date was that LA was shut down because
- 10:45Speaker 1: Donald and I were about to start and go into
- 10:47Speaker 1: a studio. Now we did take a break. We took
- 10:50Speaker 1: a break when the whole George Floyd thing went down.
- 10:53Speaker 1: I'm saying, but we we we took a break at
- 10:56Speaker 1: the at the height of at the beginning of the
- 10:58Speaker 1: George Floyd mayhem, but we haven't taking a break just
- 11:00Speaker 1: for our own just kind of exhale. And I gotta
- 11:03Speaker 1: say I like it because it makes me miss you all,
- 11:05Speaker 1: miss you guys, And it makes me um. I don't know,
- 11:08Speaker 1: it feels refreshing to be like I feel like we
- 11:10Speaker 1: have so much to talk about and catch up on.
- 11:13Speaker 1: Um and uh and I don't know, it's a nice feeling.
- 11:16Speaker 1: It's nice to have absence make my heart grow fonder.
- 11:19Speaker 1: That is exactly what has happened. I thought about you,
- 11:22Speaker 1: each and every one of you. Not to Lauren, sorry
- 11:24Speaker 1: we just met it, but I thought about the rest
- 11:26Speaker 1: of you guys like a lot. Actually, I thought, Amen,
- 11:30Speaker 1: I want to know how to go with your girlfriend's parents.
- 11:33Speaker 1: Did they like you? They are oh? Oh Dan Dan Yeah,
- 11:38Speaker 1: uh they're great, They're wonderful. Um there, But did they
- 11:42Speaker 1: like you? I think they liked me? Yeah, I think
- 11:45Speaker 1: I think What's he's so challenge you? You're very sweet, Joe, Well,
- 11:49Speaker 1: how is your break What did you do? Slept and
- 11:53Speaker 1: it was amazing. Yeah. Yeah, I've had to let everyone
- 11:57Speaker 1: know that I needed some time to myself trying to
- 11:59Speaker 1: do this healthcare game. Um so I slept and I
- 12:03Speaker 1: cooked with my brother and it was amazing. I highly
- 12:07Speaker 1: recommend it. What did you cook? What did we um? Bulgogi,
- 12:11Speaker 1: beef bulls? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Justin's like an amazing cook.
- 12:17Speaker 1: So he goes all out and I'm just kind of
- 12:19Speaker 1: sitting in the kitchen like stirring things in the part
- 12:23Speaker 1: of the process that is delic That sounds delicious. Wow.
- 12:29Speaker 1: You know, Donald, you never counted us in were now?
- 12:32Speaker 1: You know, we usually counted, but we got distracted by
- 12:34Speaker 1: the excitement of Lauren being here and uh and just
- 12:37Speaker 1: catching up. Do you want to do you want to
- 12:39Speaker 1: welcome all of the listeners from all over the world back?
- 12:42Speaker 1: Were they just a beautiful number count into our magnificent
- 12:47Speaker 1: things about nurse Hey? What an episode? A lot of
- 13:18Speaker 1: good things in this episode, A lot of great things
- 13:21Speaker 1: in this episode. Yeah. You know, every once in a
- 13:24Speaker 1: while we stumble across one that has like, you know,
- 13:27Speaker 1: four or five different moments that we really remembered, like
- 13:31Speaker 1: the pimp walk is in this The Pimp Strut, the
- 13:33Speaker 1: original one of two pimp Struts, is in this episode.
- 13:37Speaker 1: Late Great Sam Lloyd has a lot of funny stuff
- 13:39Speaker 1: in this episode. Amazing things in this episode. But but
- 13:42Speaker 1: we're gonna get to America and the rest of the
- 13:45Speaker 1: world's favorite part. Let me get my notes. Okay, gotta
- 13:49Speaker 1: go run and get his notes. I'm gonna keep it
- 13:51Speaker 1: one hundred with you, guys. So the air conditioning went
- 13:54Speaker 1: out in my house. So it's been out for the
- 13:58Speaker 1: past two weeks now. Oh yeah. So and during the
- 14:02Speaker 1: heat wave, we went how did you live with? The
- 14:04Speaker 1: heat wave? Brought a bunch of fans and stuff like that,
- 14:08Speaker 1: and have been fanning the shit out of each other
- 14:10Speaker 1: in this house. These are the reasons you have friends
- 14:14Speaker 1: with pools, y'allah. One mistake that I took a screen shot?
- 14:18Speaker 1: Do you want to see you? Do you want to
- 14:20Speaker 1: see you playing? Yes? Yes, Lauren, you weren't on the
- 14:24Speaker 1: phone yet. Donald went swimming at my house and I
- 14:27Speaker 1: missed him so much that I went on the security
- 14:29Speaker 1: camera thing on my on my phone and I took
- 14:33Speaker 1: a screenshot of him and his family playing, and my
- 14:36Speaker 1: girlfriend walked in while I was doing it, and she's like,
- 14:38Speaker 1: please tell me you're not watching your friends on the
- 14:41Speaker 1: security camera play and I was like, no, I'm not.
- 14:45Speaker 1: I was. It's gonna be hard to see, but that's
- 14:53Speaker 1: that's adorable. She's like, she's like, tell me you're not
- 14:55Speaker 1: zooming in on Donald right now? I am looking how
- 14:58Speaker 1: much funny he's having. That's so cute. It was a blast.
- 15:02Speaker 1: It was a great labor with a Labor Day weekend
- 15:04Speaker 1: that we just went through Labor Day weekend. Uh. I
- 15:08Speaker 1: got I literally I literally watched you like throwing your
- 15:10Speaker 1: kids and having fun, and I and then I and
- 15:13Speaker 1: then I felt really like creepy and and then my
- 15:15Speaker 1: girlfriend made fun of me, and so I got off
- 15:17Speaker 1: and stopped water. Did you celebrate Labor Day in London?
- 15:21Speaker 1: Did you guys Labor Day in quarantine? They don't they
- 15:23Speaker 1: don't have that. Uh here, they don't have that holiday.
- 15:27Speaker 1: Did you, as an American in London celebrate Labor Day?
- 15:31Speaker 1: Bro Um? Well I did. I chose not to work,
- 15:34Speaker 1: and I thought, um, I thought, oh, I'm celebrating Labor
- 15:38Speaker 1: Day here by not working. I don't work. I'm on,
- 15:40Speaker 1: what are we doing? We're just we make this podcast.
- 15:43Speaker 1: I'm writing this screenplay that I'm that I'm hoping to make.
- 15:46Speaker 1: UM and you have a brilliant movie coming out. That
- 15:49Speaker 1: movie looks amazing. Talk about that, let's talk about let's
- 15:53Speaker 1: let's get into it. You Robert de Niro and Morgan Freeman,
- 15:56Speaker 1: A Meal, Jones, Tommy Lee Jones, a Meal. Also Eddie,
- 16:02Speaker 1: Eddie Griffin, Eddie Griffin. How did I forget the brother's name,
- 16:06Speaker 1: Eddie Griffin. This is a dynamite cast. Brother. It's a
- 16:09Speaker 1: really big movie from me, you guys, and UM And
- 16:11Speaker 1: you know, the trailer is really funny. If you didn't
- 16:13Speaker 1: see it, please go. You can see it on YouTube.
- 16:15Speaker 1: It's called the Comeback Trail. It's coming out November thirteenth.
- 16:19Speaker 1: It's you know, as if you're a fan of mine,
- 16:21Speaker 1: you know that a lot of the stuff I've done,
- 16:24Speaker 1: I've at least been some part of writing, directing or
- 16:28Speaker 1: or producing, and then of course the TV show that
- 16:31Speaker 1: we're all talking about. But for me, I never really
- 16:33Speaker 1: had a ton of opportunities to do a film like
- 16:35Speaker 1: this where it's it's literally me and DeNiro are partners,
- 16:39Speaker 1: and and it takes place in the seventies, and the
- 16:42Speaker 1: premise is really funny. It's about this this producer. DeNiro
- 16:45Speaker 1: plays this like really sketchy movie producer who's never had
- 16:48Speaker 1: a hit. The mob is after him because he owes
- 16:50Speaker 1: them money. And he he figures out that if he
- 16:53Speaker 1: kills his star while doing stunts and making the movie,
- 16:57Speaker 1: that the insurance check he could get would be way
- 16:59Speaker 1: more than any money he could ever make off off
- 17:02Speaker 1: of the movie. So he comes up with this scheme
- 17:05Speaker 1: that he's gonna hire some old, washed up actor and
- 17:08Speaker 1: make sure he dies doing his own stunts. Um and
- 17:12Speaker 1: and that's Tommy Lee Jones. So he finds Tommy Lee Jones,
- 17:14Speaker 1: who's literally playing Russian Roulette in an old age home,
- 17:17Speaker 1: and he's like, you're perfect for the part. And he
- 17:19Speaker 1: sets about. We said, I'm clueless. I'm like the innocent
- 17:22Speaker 1: partner who doesn't know he's doing this and uh and
- 17:25Speaker 1: he said, DeNiro sets about trying to make sure that
- 17:28Speaker 1: while we're making this movie, Tommy Lee Jones dies. Of course,
- 17:31Speaker 1: that's not that's not Hey, let's not give it all
- 17:32Speaker 1: away now. I'm not gonna give it all away. I
- 17:34Speaker 1: didn't give away anything more than it's in the trailer. Okay,
- 17:37Speaker 1: but it's just a huge opportunity for me and I
- 17:39Speaker 1: watching the trailer and I just can't believe it. I'm like,
- 17:41Speaker 1: I'm just smiling at ear to ear because I made
- 17:43Speaker 1: the movie a year ago, but watching myself like go
- 17:47Speaker 1: go go toe to toe with de Niro is surreal
- 17:49Speaker 1: and really cool. Well that's the one thing the trailer
- 17:51Speaker 1: doesn't show. The trailer doesn't show how much of it
- 17:54Speaker 1: is just you and DeNiro this whole movie, because being
- 17:59Speaker 1: your best friend to know certain things. But as much
- 18:03Speaker 1: as this is a movie with Robert de Niro, it
- 18:06Speaker 1: is a movie with Zach Braffs. So Zach Braff fans
- 18:08Speaker 1: out there will lose their mind at the genius that
- 18:13Speaker 1: is he next to Bobby d And I made it
- 18:17Speaker 1: rhyme on purpose. You're welcome, Yeah, thank you, thank you,
- 18:21Speaker 1: as Daniel says, you honor me, thank you. No, it is.
- 18:24Speaker 1: It is a really big deal for me. Um and
- 18:26Speaker 1: and so if you're if you're listening to this and
- 18:28Speaker 1: you didn't see me posted about it, please go check
- 18:30Speaker 1: out the trailer. It's called the Comeback Trail, and it's
- 18:33Speaker 1: coming out I think, I mean they say November thirteenth.
- 18:35Speaker 1: Of course, anyone with the movie coming out is going.
- 18:38Speaker 1: I think it's coming out. I mean, I don't know.
- 18:41Speaker 1: Who knows what the hell is gonna happen by November thirteenth. Well,
- 18:43Speaker 1: a lot of movies came out recently. Yeah, I guess
- 18:46Speaker 1: there's places of the country, and certainly here in London.
- 18:49Speaker 1: I know Tenant came out and um, and people are
- 18:53Speaker 1: going to the theater. Um did Mulan come out in
- 18:55Speaker 1: theaters over there? I don't. I don't know. I mean, yeah,
- 18:59Speaker 1: I mean, theaters are all here, so they have very
- 19:01Speaker 1: limited seating and they have all sorts of rules, understandably,
- 19:04Speaker 1: but they are there are movie theaters open here. Okay,
- 19:06Speaker 1: let's get into the show. Um, let's get into the show.
- 19:08Speaker 1: Great episode directed by Michael Spiller. And I don't remember
- 19:13Speaker 1: a lot of this one. I remember the highlights. Of course.
- 19:14Speaker 1: I remember the pimp walk because I think it's one
- 19:17Speaker 1: of the funniest shots in Scrubs history. I mean, first
- 19:19Speaker 1: of all, you have been talking that you thought you
- 19:21Speaker 1: were overweight in this era of the show, but you
- 19:24Speaker 1: look fit as hell. Dude. This is this is got
- 19:26Speaker 1: some nice titties you got. This is how Hollywood gets you, dude.
- 19:31Speaker 1: This is how Hollywood get you fucking listen. Before quarantine,
- 19:35Speaker 1: I felt like, oh man, I'm so out of shape.
- 19:38Speaker 1: I'm a heavy dude right now. I look back before quarantine.
- 19:41Speaker 1: I wish I looked like that. Right now, Because of quarantine,
- 19:45Speaker 1: I'd gained twenty pounds, and so to add that on
- 19:47Speaker 1: to where I was before, I wish I still looked
- 19:50Speaker 1: like I did before freaking COVID. I was felt I
- 19:54Speaker 1: was fit, as they say in London, I was fit Donald,
- 19:59Speaker 1: I was doing my thing, you know what I mean?
- 20:01Speaker 1: And now you know, are you uncomfortable with how your
- 20:06Speaker 1: body is right now? Absolutely? I'm so happy that I
- 20:09Speaker 1: don't have to go anywhere to show anyone. But that's
- 20:12Speaker 1: that's that's what paparazzo took a picture of you at
- 20:15Speaker 1: the beach. I feel like whale. Wow. First of all,
- 20:20Speaker 1: I'm asking I'm asking you first, who feel self conscience?
- 20:23Speaker 1: Let's let's let's keep it one hundred. If paparazzi has
- 20:26Speaker 1: taking pictures of me again, I don't give a fuck
- 20:29Speaker 1: what I look like. Dude, congratulations, phase on, You're back
- 20:32Speaker 1: on the motherfucking map. Paparazzi take pictures of my Hershey's
- 20:37Speaker 1: kisses and my big ass belly. It doesn't matter to me.
- 20:41Speaker 1: I just know I'm doing something right, especially during COVID.
- 20:45Speaker 1: If you feel like I'm the celebrity that you need
- 20:47Speaker 1: to chase down during COVID times when you could be
- 20:50Speaker 1: getting Ariana Grande or one of the Kardashians in the mask,
- 20:55Speaker 1: if you feel like chasing me down is worth it,
- 20:58Speaker 1: I'm yours. Well, I think they're going to be outside
- 21:02Speaker 1: your house. I think you and I once went to
- 21:03Speaker 1: Hawaii and we got followed and all these pictures were
- 21:06Speaker 1: taken of us, and I felt two things. I felt
- 21:10Speaker 1: annoyed because it just makes you in self conscious and
- 21:12Speaker 1: in your head that you're being photographed without knowing. And
- 21:15Speaker 1: then I really didn't like how I looked. I thought
- 21:17Speaker 1: I looked doey and fatum. And I just wondered if
- 21:21Speaker 1: that was on your mind, because you've been sharing with
- 21:23Speaker 1: our audience that you're not happy with how you're looking.
- 21:25Speaker 1: That's all I'm saying. I'm just I'm not happy with
- 21:27Speaker 1: what I'm how I'm treating myself in these times. They
- 21:32Speaker 1: say you go two different ways. Some people get really
- 21:34Speaker 1: healthy during this time and then some people, uh you know,
- 21:39Speaker 1: are like, well you know since I'm in let's let's
- 21:41Speaker 1: be comfortable. And I chose the comfortable path. And you know,
- 21:45Speaker 1: I just had my check up, and by the way,
- 21:47Speaker 1: it went great. I am healthy. I am you know
- 21:50Speaker 1: I got good cholesterol I got Did you get the
- 21:53Speaker 1: prostate check? I dude, I've already gotten a colonoscopy. No,
- 21:58Speaker 1: But did you get the finger in in in deep
- 22:00Speaker 1: in your poophole? Not this time? No, I didn't. My
- 22:03Speaker 1: next you're missing out. You can request it even if
- 22:06Speaker 1: you've had it, where you can say like, hey man,
- 22:08Speaker 1: I'm here, like give it to me. I know, I know,
- 22:12Speaker 1: I'm aware of this. This time I went. But why
- 22:15Speaker 1: did you skip? At your age? At our age, you're
- 22:17Speaker 1: supposed to once a year get your prostate checked, right,
- 22:20Speaker 1: You know I don't because they took a blood sample
- 22:23Speaker 1: of all of that stuff too. Uh. You know, he
- 22:25Speaker 1: got to go in there with his finger and he
- 22:27Speaker 1: touches the hole. That's not necessarily so anymore from what
- 22:30Speaker 1: I understand. But you could be right, and I might
- 22:32Speaker 1: have missed out on getting my prostate checked. Che We
- 22:35Speaker 1: just lost Chadwick. Oh my goodness. Well I've already I've
- 22:40Speaker 1: already had a colonoscopy in the last couple of years,
- 22:42Speaker 1: and they say, I don't need to get another one
- 22:44Speaker 1: for five years. That's your colon I'm talking about your prostate.
- 22:47Speaker 1: They need to put the fingers deep and touch it.
- 22:50Speaker 1: Why are you so Why are you so shocked? I know,
- 22:55Speaker 1: I know why my prostate needs to be checked. I'm
- 22:57Speaker 1: sitting here wondering why didn't I get my prost check
- 23:00Speaker 1: this year? Well, you got to have everything checked above
- 23:02Speaker 1: a certain age. I don't know when men are technically once.
- 23:06Speaker 1: I say, if you're an African American mayor once you
- 23:08Speaker 1: turn forty, you should go and start getting checked out
- 23:11Speaker 1: often and as much as you possibly can, especially if
- 23:15Speaker 1: you have insurance, because a lot of this stuff is
- 23:17Speaker 1: covered by insurance. I think you should get it done
- 23:21Speaker 1: as soon as possible. I don't know what age, Daniel,
- 23:24Speaker 1: Do you know what age you're technically supposed to start
- 23:26Speaker 1: getting the prostate check? Because I think we're joking about
- 23:29Speaker 1: it because he does go inside your butthole, but it is.
- 23:31Speaker 1: It is something that people shy away from but need
- 23:34Speaker 1: to make sure they have done because doctors pretty sure
- 23:37Speaker 1: it's the earliest age for prostates. Dot Org says age
- 23:41Speaker 1: fifty for men who are at average risk of prostate
- 23:44Speaker 1: cancer expected. Nope, sorry, that's the wrong fact. Hold on,
- 23:47Speaker 1: that's bullshit, I'm telling you. And it's well before that.
- 23:51Speaker 1: I would start at forty. If you're a man, that's
- 23:54Speaker 1: their fake doctor. That's two fake doctors giving you a
- 23:57Speaker 1: recommendation we're going to protect your prostate. Let him go in,
- 24:01Speaker 1: let him touch it. Donald likes it. My guy, I
- 24:05Speaker 1: happen to have a guy who makes jokes. He'll say
- 24:06Speaker 1: things like, was that as good for you as it
- 24:08Speaker 1: was for me? Your doctor probably won't do that. What
- 24:11Speaker 1: your guy? Who'd you? Guy? I'm not gonna say his
- 24:13Speaker 1: name on the out. His name is and he's sort
- 24:18Speaker 1: of a doctor that uh that kind of makes jokes
- 24:21Speaker 1: and lightens the mood a bit, which I kind of like.
- 24:23Speaker 1: He sometimes sometimes it's too much, but for the most part,
- 24:26Speaker 1: I like that he makes he has little witty quips. Anyway,
- 24:29Speaker 1: should we talk about the episode Donald for the love
- 24:31Speaker 1: of God? Yeah, get your time aer out here. We
- 24:34Speaker 1: go all right ready. Note, Lauren, as you know from
- 24:37Speaker 1: being our number one appreciator of this podcast, that Donald
- 24:42Speaker 1: we we we we had a little detour when Donald
- 24:45Speaker 1: said that he was gonna he was he had been
- 24:47Speaker 1: trolled successfully and he was gonna not do his his
- 24:50Speaker 1: sort of interpretation and what he got out of the episode,
- 24:53Speaker 1: He's gonna do a straight summary. Bill Lawrence was here
- 24:55Speaker 1: thankfully helped me shut it down everyone. Lots of people
- 24:58Speaker 1: on my social media Donald said, go back to the
- 25:00Speaker 1: old way. So here we go. Are you ready? Donald?
- 25:04Speaker 1: I hope? So here we go and go. JD gets
- 25:08Speaker 1: to be a surgeon for a week, making him one
- 25:10Speaker 1: of the cool kids. Turk gets to mentor his best
- 25:13Speaker 1: friend and what it means to be cool. Elliott accidentally
- 25:16Speaker 1: it tells Nurse Flowers she loves him. She thinks it's
- 25:19Speaker 1: no big deal until he starts abusing their new relationship status.
- 25:22Speaker 1: And doctor Cox plays a prank on Kelso that goes
- 25:25Speaker 1: so well. It opens the chief of Medicine's eyes to
- 25:28Speaker 1: how everyone in the hospital feels about him, how he's affected.
- 25:32Speaker 1: Surprise is not only Cox, but Kelso too. Sometimes we
- 25:36Speaker 1: take on challenges for pleasure, whether it be for ourselves
- 25:40Speaker 1: or others, but when you get down to it, it's
- 25:42Speaker 1: what it is, a challenge, and if not handled properly,
- 25:45Speaker 1: it could turn into real problems. Good intentions still have consequences,
- 25:51Speaker 1: for no good deed goes unpunished. Okay, now, very well,
- 25:55Speaker 1: it's very well said, and you're a good writer. The
- 25:59Speaker 1: game that you do it in thirty seconds impossible, impossible
- 26:05Speaker 1: this time impossible. That I had to make up for
- 26:08Speaker 1: last week. I had to make up for last week
- 26:10Speaker 1: and well two weeks ago, I should say I had
- 26:12Speaker 1: to make up for and I felt like I owed
- 26:15Speaker 1: it to all of y'all out there to do that,
- 26:18Speaker 1: and so I did. Well. I think it was well said.
- 26:20Speaker 1: You know, For me, this episode was was a lot.
- 26:23Speaker 1: I kept coming back to something every human being deals with,
- 26:27Speaker 1: I imagine um, and that is people being obsessed with
- 26:30Speaker 1: other people think about you and and and that's sort
- 26:33Speaker 1: of the one of them for me, the main theme
- 26:34Speaker 1: of this episode. It's funny. I was watching it going
- 26:37Speaker 1: sometimes I think about, oh, what's Donald going to say
- 26:39Speaker 1: in his summary, like what is the grand motif of
- 26:42Speaker 1: this uh episode? And for me, it really was everyone
- 26:45Speaker 1: is concerned about what everyone else thinks about them. That's
- 26:49Speaker 1: a that's a theme with Scrubs, though, like pretty much
- 26:52Speaker 1: every episode, we deal with the insecurities of how we're perceived.
- 26:57Speaker 1: On this on this show. JD deals with it all
- 27:00Speaker 1: the time. Elliott, that's that's like the focus of her character.
- 27:05Speaker 1: Same thing with Judy. Judy deals with wanting to be
- 27:08Speaker 1: liked by everyone. Cardless character. Same thing with Cox. We
- 27:12Speaker 1: know now the Cox is this broken man. It really
- 27:15Speaker 1: does this. This is the theme at least so far
- 27:18Speaker 1: of this season that you know, nobody's put together, but
- 27:22Speaker 1: we're in charge of saving so many people's lives. And
- 27:25Speaker 1: you know, that's that's real talk. You know, that's something
- 27:28Speaker 1: that we as a nation deal with. You know, well,
- 27:32Speaker 1: is it a nation or is it a human condition thing?
- 27:35Speaker 1: Because I think that we all have these busy brains.
- 27:37Speaker 1: And even if you're a super confident person, even if
- 27:40Speaker 1: you're fucking you know, the most successful confident person in
- 27:43Speaker 1: the world, I'm sure you battle these the self doubt
- 27:47Speaker 1: and worrying about how you're how you're perceived. I mean,
- 27:50Speaker 1: I you know, and there's so many times where someone
- 27:54Speaker 1: a friend of yours or someone will say like how
- 27:56Speaker 1: they were perceiving in a moment and it's completely different
- 27:59Speaker 1: than when you thought. And I think that plants down
- 28:01Speaker 1: in our minds we go, wait, am I you know,
- 28:03Speaker 1: because the way what we're thinking in our brains can't
- 28:06Speaker 1: always be perfectly accurate as to what how everyone else
- 28:09Speaker 1: is perceiving us, and that and that sort of makes
- 28:11Speaker 1: us I'm sorry I'm saying at universally makes me feel
- 28:14Speaker 1: insecure sometimes where I'm like, I don't know that I'm
- 28:18Speaker 1: I'm coming across. I don't know that I'm understood, you
- 28:20Speaker 1: know what I mean? Like, I don't know if like
- 28:21Speaker 1: I'm always coming across like I like, in my brain,
- 28:24Speaker 1: I think I am man. I'm sure you've had that
- 28:26Speaker 1: experience downard where someone's like their perception of what just
- 28:29Speaker 1: happened was so a hundred eighty degrees from yours that
- 28:32Speaker 1: you start to doubt, like, am I judging environments correctly?
- 28:36Speaker 1: Do you know what I mean? Yeah? No, absolutely. The
- 28:39Speaker 1: acting game is a perfect example of that. You know,
- 28:41Speaker 1: you put in your best performance and then there's somebody
- 28:44Speaker 1: out there, you're very proud of it, and then there's
- 28:46Speaker 1: somebody out there who says, you know, what you did
- 28:49Speaker 1: wasn't good. You know, but how you perceived what you did?
- 28:53Speaker 1: You put into all the hard work and you you
- 28:56Speaker 1: know you you you you you dug deep and you
- 28:58Speaker 1: and you thought you found something but then there's going
- 29:00Speaker 1: to be a bunch of people who don't see it
- 29:02Speaker 1: the way you see it, and you know, that's just
- 29:05Speaker 1: that's just how it is. And that's what makes if anything,
- 29:09Speaker 1: that's what makes people that work in hospitals human. We
- 29:12Speaker 1: put all of this pressure on our frontline workers. We
- 29:14Speaker 1: put all this pressure on people who work in hospitals
- 29:16Speaker 1: and stuff like that to fix everything and to make
- 29:20Speaker 1: sure they get it right. But at the end of
- 29:22Speaker 1: the day, they're human just like we are, and they're
- 29:24Speaker 1: gonna make mistakes and they and they do things that
- 29:27Speaker 1: aren't necessarily for us, but sometimes are for them, whether
- 29:32Speaker 1: it be good or bad. And it's it's important that
- 29:36Speaker 1: we as humans realize that when we put all of
- 29:40Speaker 1: this pressure on someone, that they're dealing with shit just
- 29:45Speaker 1: like we are. And so, you know, right, But I
- 29:47Speaker 1: don't even think it needs to be the heightened. I
- 29:48Speaker 1: don't even think it. I just think that it's just
- 29:51Speaker 1: a universal, like human condition thing. It's not even at
- 29:54Speaker 1: the obviously we're talking about a hospital show here. One
- 29:56Speaker 1: thing I do love about these characters is that they're
- 29:59Speaker 1: at least open to getting feedback, you know what I mean,
- 30:03Speaker 1: Like they're at least open to you know, I was
- 30:06Speaker 1: just when I was watching the show, everyone at least
- 30:08Speaker 1: at the end has kind of I mean, I know
- 30:10Speaker 1: it's a TV show, they have to learn a lesson,
- 30:12Speaker 1: but I was just I was just liking that the
- 30:15Speaker 1: idea of people being open to getting feedback, you know
- 30:19Speaker 1: what I mean. Like Sarah gets a lot of feedback
- 30:21Speaker 1: from Rick Schroder's character, Kelsel gets feedback from Johnny C
- 30:25Speaker 1: quite aggressively in this I get plenty of feedback from
- 30:28Speaker 1: from Turk in this episode. Like, I just like that.
- 30:31Speaker 1: You know, in so many situations in our lives, we
- 30:34Speaker 1: have people in our lives who, no matter how passionately
- 30:36Speaker 1: and calmly you give them feedback, they just don't hear it.
- 30:41Speaker 1: They don't listen, they don't import it into who they are.
- 30:43Speaker 1: Whereas at least in the show, it's kind of you
- 30:46Speaker 1: feel like, oh, these people are going to evolve because
- 30:50Speaker 1: their friends are giving them powerful feedback that they need
- 30:54Speaker 1: to hear. Right, But when you get feedback from other people,
- 30:57Speaker 1: you don't want to hear that shit, you know what
- 30:58Speaker 1: I mean? Sometimes I do sometimes, I mean, no doubt that, dude,
- 31:01Speaker 1: You and I have you and I have had like
- 31:03Speaker 1: arguments and heart to heart swear. Yeah, but because I
- 31:05Speaker 1: like to think. I like to think. But still i'd
- 31:07Speaker 1: like to think you said something that I that I'll go, okay,
- 31:10Speaker 1: let me and of course my family, my friends, my
- 31:12Speaker 1: my loved ones. I feel like there's plenty of times
- 31:15Speaker 1: where I'll go, okay, let me. That's might be a
- 31:17Speaker 1: tough pill to swallow, but let me sit with it, Okay,
- 31:20Speaker 1: let me let me see how I can make change.
- 31:23Speaker 1: I mean, you do that I've done. Yeah, I agree
- 31:26Speaker 1: one hundred percent. But to hear it from a random person, uh,
- 31:30Speaker 1: doesn't or someone who is an adversary, isn't necessarily something
- 31:34Speaker 1: that you know when when heard, is something that you
- 31:37Speaker 1: know you want to receive. It's just that's, of course
- 31:39Speaker 1: how it is. Of course it has to be, it
- 31:40Speaker 1: has to it has to be told in a gentle
- 31:43Speaker 1: way at times. So at one fourteen. First of all,
- 31:46Speaker 1: I never warn anything on this TV show other than
- 31:48Speaker 1: Blue Scrubs. Yeah, thirty seconds thirty six seconds in there,
- 31:52Speaker 1: I am in green scrubs alongside you. I'm going to
- 31:55Speaker 1: tell you something real quick. But I wanted to wear
- 31:58Speaker 1: the long John's underneath the scrubs honestly, and they told
- 32:03Speaker 1: me right away. They were like, no, that's reserved for Zach.
- 32:07Speaker 1: Zach is gonna be the only one that does that.
- 32:09Speaker 1: I had that in my e that in my contract
- 32:10Speaker 1: that I No, you did it, dude, No, you did it.
- 32:13Speaker 1: But you think I had any Do you think I
- 32:14Speaker 1: had any fucking contract negotiations. I was a fucking waiter
- 32:17Speaker 1: at a French tree. It wasn't like. I wasn't like
- 32:21Speaker 1: the long sleeves are only for me, or I won't
- 32:23Speaker 1: do the park. But I remember being like, I want
- 32:25Speaker 1: to wear some long sleeves and they were like, no,
- 32:27Speaker 1: we we've decided that, Jade. But that was a Carrie
- 32:30Speaker 1: Bennett thing. Ye yea our brilliant cost We didn't have
- 32:33Speaker 1: Carrie Bennett on this show. By the way, that's a
- 32:35Speaker 1: great idea she has. I want you fans to know,
- 32:37Speaker 1: by the way, that we we uh we we um.
- 32:40Speaker 1: We've got a lot of requests for Judy and Sarah
- 32:42Speaker 1: to come back. We tried with both of them. They're
- 32:43Speaker 1: both sort of busy right now, but we will be
- 32:46Speaker 1: getting them back, so um. The rest as short. I
- 32:49Speaker 1: also want to circle back real quickly since we want
- 32:52Speaker 1: to be responsible since we brought up a prostate cancer
- 32:54Speaker 1: and Joel has found the ages. It says forty to
- 32:58Speaker 1: have a prostate exam if you have a family history,
- 33:00Speaker 1: forty five if you're African American, fifty if you have
- 33:03Speaker 1: no family history and are not African American. But I'm
- 33:07Speaker 1: gonna tell you that I started getting them at forty
- 33:09Speaker 1: and I started with that we're gonna go to break
- 33:14Speaker 1: right back, and we're bad. Did you notice that three
- 33:26Speaker 1: fifty two the nurse pulls off the tail that's been
- 33:29Speaker 1: taped to my to my butt that someone has has
- 33:32Speaker 1: has pranked me with, and then she pats my bottom.
- 33:35Speaker 1: It's never discussed, it's never nothing, it's it has nothing
- 33:39Speaker 1: to do with the show at all. But the nurse
- 33:41Speaker 1: gives me a little pat on the rear. I think
- 33:43Speaker 1: it's I honestly believe it's a way to say that
- 33:48Speaker 1: these guys are all tight at this hospital. I mean,
- 33:52Speaker 1: I just thought, I just don't know why. I didn't
- 33:53Speaker 1: even know how it came about, Like I didn't even
- 33:55Speaker 1: JD doesn't even like turn around and be like no,
- 33:58Speaker 1: he accepts her, right. He The fact that he gets
- 34:00Speaker 1: tapped on the ass that was by Lynn actually olways Lynn,
- 34:04Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, one of our regulars. Yeah. Lynn gave me
- 34:06Speaker 1: a nice, a nice firm pat on the bottom. Now
- 34:08Speaker 1: let's talk about um. Sarah says I love you too.
- 34:11Speaker 1: She's talking about the CD because she's organizing her CD collection,
- 34:15Speaker 1: and then Rick Schroeder's character hears it as as an
- 34:19Speaker 1: I love you statement. That's always weird hunding relationship. The
- 34:22Speaker 1: moment when you're gonna say I love you. I mean,
- 34:24Speaker 1: these guys haven't been dating that long. The idea that
- 34:26Speaker 1: love would come into it is pretty pretty early. It
- 34:28Speaker 1: sucks when it slips out and you didn't mean it,
- 34:30Speaker 1: you know what I mean? And sometimes that happens. That
- 34:34Speaker 1: happened to you. How long did your relationship with Casey?
- 34:36Speaker 1: Did you tell you said I love you? She said
- 34:38Speaker 1: it first. Oh, it's over Astro Burger because we would
- 34:43Speaker 1: go to after Burger after the club every night. She
- 34:47Speaker 1: was she was fucking wasted, like she was, I love you.
- 34:54Speaker 1: She devoured a burger. Doesn't doesn't does the first? Does
- 34:58Speaker 1: the first? I love you count ladies and gentlemen if
- 35:00Speaker 1: you're shit faced when you say it, I don't know.
- 35:03Speaker 1: I think it counts all your thoughts. I feel like
- 35:06Speaker 1: once it said, you can't put the genie back in
- 35:08Speaker 1: the bottle. It gets out there, Like, how can it not?
- 35:11Speaker 1: It's been said, although if the person does. I used
- 35:13Speaker 1: to have a rule college that if I couldn't remember it,
- 35:15Speaker 1: it didn't happen. So dude, I once said it after
- 35:21Speaker 1: sex and I had just started dating the girl, and
- 35:26Speaker 1: it was because well, I was going through it. I
- 35:29Speaker 1: was divorcing and I was, you know, out as a
- 35:33Speaker 1: single man for the first time, and your first time
- 35:36Speaker 1: you had sex, you had an orgasm and you're like,
- 35:38Speaker 1: I love you and yeah, And after I was said
- 35:43Speaker 1: quite as after I said it, I was like, oh no, wait,
- 35:46Speaker 1: I love it. That we just did was amazing and
- 35:54Speaker 1: I love the fact that I'm doing that now, not
- 35:57Speaker 1: necessarily that. What did she say? What did she see?
- 36:01Speaker 1: Was like, oh, well this is really fast, but this
- 36:09Speaker 1: and I was like, what before we go down this?
- 36:12Speaker 1: And then I jumped in out before it was the sex?
- 36:14Speaker 1: It was I was I was blinded by the light.
- 36:19Speaker 1: Blinded by the light? Was he saying next? What comes
- 36:22Speaker 1: after that? Um? I know the real lyric is wrapped
- 36:27Speaker 1: rat Oh fuck? I always obviously everyone thinks it's wrapped
- 36:31Speaker 1: up like a douche. But what is it? Diant dan
- 36:33Speaker 1: revved up like a deuce? Another runner in the night?
- 36:35Speaker 1: Wrapped like what it's like a two cylinder engine revved
- 36:43Speaker 1: up like a deuce. I thought you said like a runner,
- 36:47Speaker 1: and I thought you said wrapped up like a deuce,
- 36:50Speaker 1: like like like a chosy, like a choosie, like you
- 36:53Speaker 1: wrap that know, you caught in the middle of the
- 36:56Speaker 1: night and you had to wrap that shit up like
- 36:57Speaker 1: oh shit? So what you thought the interpretation of the
- 37:00Speaker 1: song was you shit your bed and had to run
- 37:02Speaker 1: with What a romantic lyric for us it was? But
- 37:08Speaker 1: I always thought it was wrapped up like a douche.
- 37:10Speaker 1: But that's that's d No. I don't even know if
- 37:14Speaker 1: you can wrap up a douche. But anyway, that's we
- 37:16Speaker 1: have a we have a we have e here. I'm sorry,
- 37:18Speaker 1: Lauren for fuck's sake. No, enough's enough, Um Donald, what
- 37:24Speaker 1: did you think about bowling Flip? This is a This
- 37:26Speaker 1: is a fan favorite. People love it when Ted develops
- 37:29Speaker 1: this idea that he's rubber and your glue boin Flip.
- 37:33Speaker 1: I love Bloine. Flip boyin Flip has stuck with me
- 37:37Speaker 1: throughout life. There's a few things in Scrubs history that
- 37:40Speaker 1: is stuck with me. Boine flip is one of them.
- 37:42Speaker 1: Sows your face is another one. Yes, I use sow's
- 37:46Speaker 1: your face like I use point whip. Now, there's a
- 37:48Speaker 1: palm pilot moment here where we're all the nerdy medical
- 37:51Speaker 1: students who are all sitting around. Daniel. You've strike me
- 37:54Speaker 1: as someone who probably had a palm pilot. You cut me.
- 38:02Speaker 1: I never was it. It was kind of like the
- 38:03Speaker 1: first smart phoney type thing, right, yeah, yeah, and I
- 38:07Speaker 1: certainly didn't need it back then either. But yeah I
- 38:10Speaker 1: have one. But you can have your calendar on it
- 38:13Speaker 1: and it would go online. Oh yeah, I had my
- 38:16Speaker 1: calendar on it said go to school, come home from school.
- 38:19Speaker 1: Very okay, so feel important here here here's the question.
- 38:22Speaker 1: Now though, now that iPhone and Galaxy, I guess, are
- 38:27Speaker 1: the two major smartphone distributors, are you going to get
- 38:33Speaker 1: the Galaxy now that it does the Xbox on the
- 38:37Speaker 1: Galaxy screen? Oh? Um, like this, I don't know what
- 38:42Speaker 1: this is. What are you talking about? So Xbox now
- 38:45Speaker 1: has made it so that you can play Xbox on
- 38:49Speaker 1: your smartphone. Yeah, it's like remote play kind of stuff, right,
- 38:53Speaker 1: and all you have to do is connect your phone
- 38:56Speaker 1: to the Xbox controller and now you're in your Xbox. Right,
- 39:02Speaker 1: all right, that's cool. Can play on the bus, but
- 39:04Speaker 1: won't I like dream the hell out of your battery.
- 39:07Speaker 1: That gives a shit if you can play for an
- 39:08Speaker 1: hour if I use that thing to get Come on, now,
- 39:13Speaker 1: all anybody uses their phones for nowadays is to look
- 39:16Speaker 1: at the to look at fucking Instagram TikTok. Nobody does
- 39:20Speaker 1: freaking emails anymore on their phones. Donald and Donald and
- 39:25Speaker 1: Joel are watching the Wop video over and over again. Yes,
- 39:31Speaker 1: but this is another thing that I could go off
- 39:34Speaker 1: on for an hour. But there are definitely some things
- 39:38Speaker 1: about Android that I really like. But as as long
- 39:41Speaker 1: as I still have this this MacBook Pro in this iPhone,
- 39:43Speaker 1: I'll probably stay in the Apple family. And I gotta
- 39:46Speaker 1: tell you, I gotta tell you the reason I'm so
- 39:48Speaker 1: loyal to to iPhone is that I feel when I
- 39:52Speaker 1: send someone a text and it goes green, that our
- 39:55Speaker 1: friendship will forever be limited. We will never I don't know,
- 40:00Speaker 1: if I don't know, if anyone else when it goes green,
- 40:03Speaker 1: I go I don't And this is so shitty to say,
- 40:06Speaker 1: but I don't think that our friendship can ever go
- 40:08Speaker 1: to the next level if you're not Android. It's true
- 40:11Speaker 1: because now you're like left out of the same emoji categories. Yeah,
- 40:15Speaker 1: you can't get Getting into a group chat of iPhone
- 40:17Speaker 1: users with an Android is literally nightmarish. You spent like
- 40:21Speaker 1: days trying to figure it out, and finally we're like,
- 40:23Speaker 1: just go back to the Twitter group chat. It's not
- 40:25Speaker 1: possible because I don't want to I don't want to pay.
- 40:27Speaker 1: I don't want to pay to talk to you. I
- 40:28Speaker 1: don't want to pay to talk to you. And it's
- 40:30Speaker 1: free if you have an iPhone. But the minute you
- 40:33Speaker 1: don't have a limited texting, you have unlimited texting you
- 40:35Speaker 1: don't want you're talking about you still gotta pay for
- 40:37Speaker 1: data thought, don't you you don't have unlimited data? Yeah, Daniel,
- 40:44Speaker 1: Daniel's gonna help you get set up. You need a
- 40:46Speaker 1: better plan. No, Well, my point is, you know, when
- 40:48Speaker 1: a group you know, when you send a group when
- 40:50Speaker 1: you're not at home, that shit does not count. Listen, listen.
- 40:54Speaker 1: You know when you're in a group text and uh
- 40:56Speaker 1: and you send it to like ten people and there's
- 40:58Speaker 1: one fucker that makes it all go green, and you're like,
- 41:01Speaker 1: who's the asshole who made this whole group chat go green?
- 41:05Speaker 1: And I feel bad about that, Joel. Only for now,
- 41:08Speaker 1: I'm gonna get the new iPhone when it comes out
- 41:10Speaker 1: with it's supposed to come out this month and they
- 41:11Speaker 1: haven't announced a date yet. I do the whole I'm like, eagerly,
- 41:15Speaker 1: I want to get rid of this folk so bad. Oh,
- 41:17Speaker 1: I can't wait. It's gonna be a great day. Let's
- 41:26Speaker 1: talk about Donald at eight twenty two in his ballet outfit. Donald,
- 41:29Speaker 1: what were those moves you're doing? Bro, That's definitely something
- 41:32Speaker 1: that I picked up from, like modern dance class when
- 41:34Speaker 1: I was hilarious. And not only that, your faithe that
- 41:38Speaker 1: you had on that wig is hilarious. Dude, I'm gonna listen.
- 41:41Speaker 1: Like most actors, a lot of people would be like,
- 41:44Speaker 1: I never did debt, but as a youth, I've taken
- 41:47Speaker 1: so many dance classes, even if it was like one,
- 41:51Speaker 1: one or two. You know, as a kid, I've taken tap,
- 41:54Speaker 1: I've taken modern, I've taken ballet. I've taken all of
- 41:57Speaker 1: these dance classes to try and better my resume. When
- 42:03Speaker 1: you know, casting directors look at your skills and stuff
- 42:05Speaker 1: like that. If you've taken a class, you can say,
- 42:08Speaker 1: well I do botten or I do tap or you
- 42:10Speaker 1: know what I mean. And all I did was channeled
- 42:16Speaker 1: from all of the classes I took as a youth
- 42:19Speaker 1: into that moment and it was funny. It was funny
- 42:22Speaker 1: as shit. I mean, I wish I could see the
- 42:23Speaker 1: outtakes for that. I don't know if it's probably on
- 42:25Speaker 1: the blo the Blooper reel, but I mean I just
- 42:27Speaker 1: wanted to see more. I was cut too quick. I
- 42:29Speaker 1: wanted to see you dance, sit around in your fucking health.
- 42:32Speaker 1: I felt very spelt. When I look back at that.
- 42:35Speaker 1: Now I look at that, I'm like, wow, I was
- 42:36Speaker 1: in shape. Yeah. While we saw you when you did
- 42:38Speaker 1: the Pimp straw, I mean you had very you had
- 42:41Speaker 1: like a like a sea cup, and you looked firm.
- 42:43Speaker 1: Well you know, they look like a's but they really sees. Yeah,
- 42:47Speaker 1: they were delicious. Um. I I liked your wig and
- 42:50Speaker 1: then I had the long mullet on. Now I remember something.
- 42:55Speaker 1: I remember something completely different. When they meet in college.
- 42:59Speaker 1: I remember j D saying something and maybe this was
- 43:01Speaker 1: in the outtakes, but JD saying something like, I'm a
- 43:07Speaker 1: first level wizard, and I must be a different episode.
- 43:10Speaker 1: It's a different episode, but you're introducing yourself to j
- 43:14Speaker 1: D's introducing himself to Turk, isn't he No, I think
- 43:17Speaker 1: I'm in your roommate and I'm walking, I walk in it.
- 43:19Speaker 1: This is not the first time we're meeting. The first
- 43:21Speaker 1: time we meet is when I'm when we talk about
- 43:23Speaker 1: I thought we'd do a whole montage, and yeah, there's
- 43:26Speaker 1: a there's a funny montage, but it's not. I don't
- 43:28Speaker 1: think it's the very first time we meet. I thought
- 43:30Speaker 1: it was. I thought it was. That would have been.
- 43:32Speaker 1: I don't I don't remember. But um, I love the
- 43:34Speaker 1: mullet and uh and you and I in college and
- 43:37Speaker 1: every time we cut back there, I think it's so funny.
- 43:40Speaker 1: That's a great storyline. If they were to ever do
- 43:42Speaker 1: a re reuh remake of Scrubs, it would be great
- 43:45Speaker 1: to do the college years the college ers. But we
- 43:48Speaker 1: are old, our old asses in the fucking gigs with
- 43:53Speaker 1: a bunch of young kids all around us, and we're
- 43:55Speaker 1: just that's the bitch. Like that show Penn fifteen. You
- 43:57Speaker 1: ever see that show Pen fifteen? No, I have not.
- 43:59Speaker 1: There's two women playing fifteen year olds and everyone around
- 44:03Speaker 1: them are real fifteen year olds, but they play fifteen
- 44:06Speaker 1: year olds. We should do that ship hilarious, be so
- 44:09Speaker 1: good at that fun Donald Oh yeah, well yeah we
- 44:13Speaker 1: got the show, guys. That's that's the fucking remake. Um.
- 44:16Speaker 1: I noticed that Carla and Idiot really seemed to be
- 44:19Speaker 1: friends in this episode. That kind of struck me. I
- 44:21Speaker 1: was noticing you. We've been talking about how they their
- 44:24Speaker 1: their friends. Whip was sort of building, and now they're
- 44:26Speaker 1: like buddies shooting the ship with no animosity. She's giving
- 44:30Speaker 1: her advice on on Rick Schroeder, And I think that
- 44:33Speaker 1: our memory of how the two of them were just
- 44:38Speaker 1: dates to the first few encounters that they had in
- 44:41Speaker 1: the first season. But I really do believe that Elliott
- 44:43Speaker 1: and Carla are they go on to become the best
- 44:48Speaker 1: of friends. Yeah, But then I don't know, maybe maybe
- 44:50Speaker 1: I'm maybe I'm wrong on the timeline of it all.
- 44:52Speaker 1: But this just episode is I was making notes. It
- 44:54Speaker 1: remade me thinking, oh, they're really like she's confiding in her.
- 44:56Speaker 1: They have sort of an inside joke about She says
- 44:59Speaker 1: something about Carlo's humless breath or something. Well, they do
- 45:02Speaker 1: it a lot. They do it. They do it a lot.
- 45:04Speaker 1: When she started dating Rick Schroder's character on the show,
- 45:07Speaker 1: they you know, the two of them are talking where
- 45:09Speaker 1: she's like, she says, Carla, you know how I'm crazy,
- 45:12Speaker 1: and Carlo's like yeah, She's like, well, I'm having a
- 45:14Speaker 1: hard time keeping that away from Nurse Flowers, you know
- 45:17Speaker 1: what I mean. So they've obviously have developed a friendship. Yeah,
- 45:21Speaker 1: she confides in her How about how about Ted the
- 45:25Speaker 1: lawyer's reaction to ken dying When he thinks Ken So
- 45:30Speaker 1: Johnny ce changes puts a death date on Kelso's portrait
- 45:35Speaker 1: and then, oh my god, Sammy was so funny. He
- 45:37Speaker 1: was just like elated, he was he was a static. Yeah,
- 45:41Speaker 1: in the words of Mike Tyson, he was a static static. Um.
- 45:46Speaker 1: Let's talk about one thing. Ted's band is now doing
- 45:50Speaker 1: commercial jingles. Yes, do you know a commercial jingle he's
- 45:54Speaker 1: doing when he gets cut off when they're like you
- 45:57Speaker 1: deserve a break today? Do you remember what that's from?
- 46:04Speaker 1: D Right? My wife thought it was Disney, like Disney,
- 46:09Speaker 1: it's clo it's closed to Disney somewhat. What is it?
- 46:12Speaker 1: McDonald's at McDonalds. McDonald's man, they've had some of the
- 46:18Speaker 1: best uh jingles in the history. Do you know what
- 46:22Speaker 1: one of my favorites says, go ahead, big macfileet of fish, caught,
- 46:27Speaker 1: a pound of French fry, icy coke, thick shake, Sundays
- 46:30Speaker 1: and apple pies. Do you remember that one? No, that
- 46:34Speaker 1: sounds like a round speaking McDonald's. Are you gonna go
- 46:37Speaker 1: get a Travis Scott burger or whatever it's called? Do
- 46:40Speaker 1: you remember this? I'm so confused by the gray taste McDonald's.
- 46:46Speaker 1: Remember I'm so confused by the Travis Scott McDonald's collaboration.
- 46:49Speaker 1: Can someone who knows more about pop culture explain it
- 46:52Speaker 1: to me? Joel? You are maybe Lauren can she works
- 46:55Speaker 1: for eat Lauren? Lauren can't? She works for me? Like
- 46:58Speaker 1: no love Travis Scott man and McDonald's needs the kids
- 47:02Speaker 1: to come eat there because their whole lives they've been
- 47:05Speaker 1: like what was the documentary that they made about um yeah, yeah,
- 47:09Speaker 1: supersier size me. Yeah, So like these kids their whole lives.
- 47:12Speaker 1: McDonald's has been like persona on Grada, like it's gross,
- 47:15Speaker 1: don't go there, got your feet somewhere else, And like
- 47:18Speaker 1: Travis Scott can't miss like Cactus Jack, like his shoes
- 47:22Speaker 1: Nike were selling out like crazy. I just think it's
- 47:24Speaker 1: like a really brilliant partnership to try to like get
- 47:27Speaker 1: some of his fans in and there aren't seen employees
- 47:29Speaker 1: selling their like Cactus Jack McDonald's like uniforms for like
- 47:33Speaker 1: six hundred dollars online. Joel, do you like it? Uh?
- 47:38Speaker 1: You know, sometimes he hits in the rotation. But I'm
- 47:41Speaker 1: not like a stand. I wouldn't call myself of the
- 47:45Speaker 1: But that makes me know that you're on the same
- 47:47Speaker 1: type of hip hop that I'm on. The fact that
- 47:49Speaker 1: you called yourself a stan means that you're an Eminem fan.
- 47:52Speaker 1: It means like lyrical, like librical. You know what a
- 47:56Speaker 1: stand is, well, yeah, yeah, it comes from one that
- 48:02Speaker 1: comes from dudes. Yeah yeah, but I wouldn't call I'm not.
- 48:05Speaker 1: I'm not. I can appreciate what Eminem is doing in
- 48:09Speaker 1: his time, but it's not really for me. As I'm
- 48:12Speaker 1: telling me, you weren't on that I sit pack, I
- 48:14Speaker 1: sit back with the pack zig zags. And if you
- 48:17Speaker 1: want on that ship, you want on that ship. Sweaty
- 48:23Speaker 1: sweat already it is, you're telling me you're telling me
- 48:26Speaker 1: you wasn't down with I never meant to give you
- 48:28Speaker 1: much rooms girl. Around that time, I was really that
- 48:34Speaker 1: should banging too. Circus is really heavy. Nobody did you
- 48:41Speaker 1: guys here? Speaking of uh that Donald and I are introducing,
- 48:45Speaker 1: I don't know we're supposed to talk about this. We
- 48:47Speaker 1: can bleep it, so we Donald and I got asked
- 48:51Speaker 1: to via zoom because it's fucking the apocalypse. Um be
- 48:55Speaker 1: a part of the I Heeart Awards. What do they
- 48:58Speaker 1: call it? Yeah? I heard music awards like that, and
- 49:03Speaker 1: Donald and I are introducing, and uh, we need the
- 49:06Speaker 1: fans help thinking of how we should best. I think
- 49:09Speaker 1: it'd be good if it was like an inside joke
- 49:11Speaker 1: or maybe Donald, you dance because you danced so well.
- 49:13Speaker 1: I got an idea. I got an idea. We'll be
- 49:15Speaker 1: like this will be like, um, this next artist needs
- 49:18Speaker 1: no introduction, but to give you a hint, Donald and
- 49:21Speaker 1: I are both going to do one of his signature
- 49:23Speaker 1: dance moves, right, and then Donald, you do some insane
- 49:26Speaker 1: fucking move and then I'm like here I go and
- 49:28Speaker 1: I'm like, no, psych, I'm not trying to do that,
- 49:29Speaker 1: and because then you're making me dance and then we're
- 49:34Speaker 1: back at that little whole conversation that we had before
- 49:37Speaker 1: about how the West Wing didn't make do let Hill Dance.
- 49:39Speaker 1: I know, but you're such a good dancer, and I
- 49:42Speaker 1: wish the West Wing and mid Dulee Hill dance. Um.
- 49:46Speaker 1: Slappy Bag is your nickname that I given you in
- 49:48Speaker 1: this episode, which is hilarious. I have no idea where
- 49:51Speaker 1: it comes. Why am I slappy Bags? I don't know.
- 49:53Speaker 1: I assume we were out and everyone got hammered. You
- 49:55Speaker 1: weren't invited for some reason, and I made up nicknames
- 49:58Speaker 1: for everybody, and then I'm slappy Bag, and then you're
- 50:02Speaker 1: slappy Bag, and you walk off, and I go slappy Bag.
- 50:05Speaker 1: But the fact that you go, the fact that you
- 50:07Speaker 1: said to all of the guys Yo and turkis slappy Bags,
- 50:10Speaker 1: and everybody goes, oh, I totally see it. He's totally
- 50:12Speaker 1: slappy Bags. Now. The first time in this Janitor ever
- 50:17Speaker 1: talks to Cox is in this episode speaking of big
- 50:19Speaker 1: things that happened, that Cox even asks who are you?
- 50:23Speaker 1: He goes, who the hell are you? And he goes,
- 50:24Speaker 1: I'm just a man with a saw. But I mean
- 50:25Speaker 1: didn't even kneel. No storyline Neil's entire storyline in this
- 50:28Speaker 1: episode is that he has a saw. That this might
- 50:32Speaker 1: have been like, this might have been like gotten the
- 50:33Speaker 1: point the writer's room be like, I don't know, just
- 50:35Speaker 1: fucking give Neil a cordless saw. It'll be funny and
- 50:37Speaker 1: he'll make up shit, dude. The fact that right, he
- 50:40Speaker 1: has no storyline. His storyline is that he has a saw. Right,
- 50:44Speaker 1: And at one point he contemplates cutting his thumb off
- 50:46Speaker 1: because he has nothing to do with the saw. Yeah,
- 50:48Speaker 1: and then he cuts my arm off and it bleeds
- 50:50Speaker 1: outright Apple teeny, I mean talking about momentous moments. The
- 50:55Speaker 1: first time I order in appletey easy on the teeny,
- 50:59Speaker 1: Is this the first time we ever hear that JD?
- 51:01Speaker 1: This is the very first time that JD orders and
- 51:04Speaker 1: apple tiny, because you're you're highlighting that I'm a dork
- 51:09Speaker 1: and I should just embrace it and and and not
- 51:11Speaker 1: try and be something that I'm not. Everyone in this episode,
- 51:15Speaker 1: as we said, is sort of like struggling with trying
- 51:18Speaker 1: to be something that they aren't and uh and and
- 51:22Speaker 1: um and so my character, you're you're coaching me just
- 51:26Speaker 1: be who you are. And then I'm like, Okay, Apple
- 51:28Speaker 1: teeny Easy on the teeny there's a BBD shout out,
- 51:32Speaker 1: which made me happy. Anything new addition always makes me happy.
- 51:36Speaker 1: One of my favorite things growing up was new addition.
- 51:39Speaker 1: I don't think Sarah knew the song Poison at this
- 51:43Speaker 1: point that girl really boy yeah, because of the way
- 51:46Speaker 1: she sings. It doesn't sound like she knows it, like
- 51:49Speaker 1: it's that girl is Poison. No, but she's like she's
- 51:54Speaker 1: like kind of unsure where Judy is, like the song
- 51:57Speaker 1: goes puss and they do it kind of yeah, but
- 52:00Speaker 1: Judy can really sing where Sarah breaks glasses like when
- 52:04Speaker 1: um No. But I think Judy actually a song. But
- 52:07Speaker 1: maybe Sarah knew a song. I don't know. I don't
- 52:08Speaker 1: know that never trust. I don't know if it never
- 52:11Speaker 1: trusts a big button, a smile. But it's so it's vocabulary.
- 52:14Speaker 1: I'm just putting it out there. I have always trusted
- 52:16Speaker 1: a big button a smile, and it's gotten mean a
- 52:18Speaker 1: lot of trouble. All right. On that note, we need
- 52:20Speaker 1: to take a break right. Our caller is here. We'll
- 52:23Speaker 1: be back, Lauren. Are you excited. We're gonna You're gonna
- 52:25Speaker 1: experience the caller. Maybe the caller will have a question
- 52:28Speaker 1: for Lauren. We don't we don't know, we don't know
- 52:29Speaker 1: what's gonna happen, but thank you everybody for being here,
- 52:32Speaker 1: and we'll be right back. And we're back, and it
- 52:42Speaker 1: looks like it is a hospital. You're not gonna be
- 52:45Speaker 1: able to handle that. Last name, Donald, don't try it.
- 52:48Speaker 1: What's happening here? Tiffany de Lilah, I don't say, Tiffany.
- 52:54Speaker 1: Let's see if collar. I'm hoping that hasn't been some
- 52:59Speaker 1: kind kind of emergency. Oh, there's probably an emergency ceiling, Joel,
- 53:03Speaker 1: you brought it a coffee, No, Joel, Joel brought onto
- 53:07Speaker 1: someone who works in the hospital and they ran hi
- 53:08Speaker 1: an emergency. Was nobody there? Tiffany, Tiffany, Oh my god.
- 53:17Speaker 1: For those of you who can't see, obviously, we're looking
- 53:19Speaker 1: at what looks like an empty room. My gosh, a
- 53:22Speaker 1: woman just walked by, Joel. This is not a shining moment.
- 53:25Speaker 1: If only she knew what's on the computer screen behind her.
- 53:28Speaker 1: She's not connecting to her audio. It doesn't even look
- 53:32Speaker 1: like they're there. Yes, it's her headphones. Let me Lauren, Lauren,
- 53:37Speaker 1: I want you to know. Tiffany. Tiffany waving to her.
- 53:44Speaker 1: I don't even think that's her. I think, are you Tiffany?
- 53:48Speaker 1: She can't even here here? This is the best. Okay,
- 53:51Speaker 1: you get frozen lady who's not moving, she's in scrubs.
- 53:56Speaker 1: We didn't wait come back and just like staring at
- 54:01Speaker 1: the computer, like what's going on? Her vibe is very
- 54:04Speaker 1: her vibe is very where. I don't know. Yeah, well,
- 54:10Speaker 1: we don't know. We don't. We don't know what's happening.
- 54:11Speaker 1: She she's sitting there going is that? Is that your well? Monique?
- 54:15Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, there we go. HEYI turn on your audio.
- 54:19Speaker 1: Where's Tiffany? Tiffany? Tiffany? Hi, Tiffany? Hey? Hi? Oh my
- 54:29Speaker 1: did happen? Yeah? Are you? Hey? Timmy? Where are you?
- 54:36Speaker 1: Where are you? Where? I'm at work? But where work? Wow?
- 54:44Speaker 1: Love it? But you're in what state? Louisianna? No, no, no, no,
- 54:50Speaker 1: do it out there so everybody can hear that you
- 54:52Speaker 1: are not working right now, we're supposed to be saying
- 54:56Speaker 1: happy birthday to Eric Thomasee. Yes, he walked into a
- 55:00Speaker 1: patient's room. So are you guys dealing with like crazy
- 55:04Speaker 1: COVID shit right now? Oh no, we're over it. You
- 55:10Speaker 1: guys are over. Yeah, I hear that. I thought you
- 55:14Speaker 1: had I thought you had a beard and mustache with
- 55:15Speaker 1: your mask because it's black, and then you looked like
- 55:19Speaker 1: you had a beard and mustache. Should wait, Tiffany, you
- 55:25Speaker 1: know it's Tiffany. Is this a surprise for somebody? It was,
- 55:32Speaker 1: but it didn't work out that way. Okay, So do
- 55:35Speaker 1: you have a question for us or do you have
- 55:37Speaker 1: to run off and work? Are you a nurse or
- 55:39Speaker 1: a doctor? I can't tell what's happening over there? Um no,
- 55:42Speaker 1: I mean I had a second. Okay, well about yourself, Tiffany. Well, Tiffany, um,
- 55:49Speaker 1: you know, do you have a question for us or
- 55:52Speaker 1: is there any aspect of your life that we have
- 55:54Speaker 1: Lauren from E News on what we have. We have
- 55:56Speaker 1: a very fancy reporter here who can also answer. Tiffany,
- 55:59Speaker 1: you're also on E News right now. I bet you
- 56:01Speaker 1: didn't know that. Y um No. I mean we uh,
- 56:06Speaker 1: we were wondering. We're talking about the relationships between you guys,
- 56:11Speaker 1: and so how did y'all keep that straight? Because even
- 56:15Speaker 1: watching the episodes, now, y'all are very very close. I like,
- 56:21Speaker 1: how do y'all when you say, how do we keep
- 56:23Speaker 1: that straight. Do you mean, like, how do we not
- 56:25Speaker 1: slip over into being yay gay? Well no, not y'all,
- 56:30Speaker 1: but just like I mean, no, but between uh you know,
- 56:37Speaker 1: between Sarah and all the other characters that come on.
- 56:41Speaker 1: When y'all spend a lot of time together, you get
- 56:43Speaker 1: close and behind the scene. Oh no, girl, come on. Okay,
- 56:48Speaker 1: So I learned a long time ago. Never ship. Yeah,
- 56:51Speaker 1: well not only that, never ship where you eat and
- 56:55Speaker 1: that can cause a lot of problems. Is that what
- 56:57Speaker 1: goes on, Tiffany? Is that what goes on? Tiffany? Is
- 57:00Speaker 1: there in your hospital? At your hospital right now? Oh
- 57:06Speaker 1: you know, there's a secret code. But uh, you know,
- 57:13Speaker 1: because we knew. We we were told when we were
- 57:15Speaker 1: training to do the TV show that lots of doctors
- 57:18Speaker 1: and nurses and people in the hospital. They're there late nights.
- 57:21Speaker 1: Lots of romances occur. Yes, it's it didn't happen much
- 57:28Speaker 1: on our show. Uh, there were a lot of romances.
- 57:33Speaker 1: And except for those stunt people that fell in love. Yeah,
- 57:36Speaker 1: some people that fell in love the sound department and
- 57:38Speaker 1: the grip department got married. They have kids now, Teddy
- 57:42Speaker 1: and oh oh that's right, one of ours. That's that's
- 57:47Speaker 1: that famous video, right, yeahs video are part of the proposal.
- 57:53Speaker 1: I love that there are there are relationships that have
- 57:55Speaker 1: gone on to become Yeah, that's that have started from uh,
- 58:01Speaker 1: that have started from the work environment that we had
- 58:03Speaker 1: at Scrubs. But as far as me Zach Sarah Judy,
- 58:08Speaker 1: uh No, it's got like Zach's my brother. I don't
- 58:12Speaker 1: want to. I don't want to. I don't want to.
- 58:14Speaker 1: Occasionally I occasionally caught feelings. I caught feelings for you, Yeah,
- 58:18Speaker 1: but we never took it to the next level like
- 58:20Speaker 1: we need as because we don't shop where we eat, right,
- 58:23Speaker 1: we don't ship where we eat. We kept the ass
- 58:26Speaker 1: Tiffany and Tiffany, I think you might be a good
- 58:29Speaker 1: candidate to have us fix your life because this is
- 58:32Speaker 1: a very new segment that we do on the podcast.
- 58:35Speaker 1: And we've got Lauren from a News with us and
- 58:37Speaker 1: we have but we have we have she is eager
- 58:39Speaker 1: to fix your life now, Tiffany, anything anything in your
- 58:44Speaker 1: life that's going on. It could be a relationship issue,
- 58:48Speaker 1: it could be anything that you need help with. We
- 58:51Speaker 1: are here and we're gonna give you advice and fix
- 58:54Speaker 1: it for you right now. It could be something big
- 58:59Speaker 1: or small. We we Donald and I are trained fake doctors,
- 59:03Speaker 1: and we have we have we have we have Lauren here,
- 59:06Speaker 1: who's u who's very smart? Oh wait, hey, is it
- 59:10Speaker 1: your birthday today? Oh? Yesterday? But thanks? Happy be birthday day,
- 59:17Speaker 1: the big wappy birthday four? Oh you cotulations, congratulations and
- 59:23Speaker 1: the words of Stevie wanted a happy birthday too, good,
- 59:28Speaker 1: happy birthday too? Yeah, happy birthday. What's going on over there? What?
- 59:36Speaker 1: What type of medical establishment are you guys all working in?
- 59:41Speaker 1: This is a cardiology clinic? Oh? I see, so when
- 59:45Speaker 1: you when you had to go see a patient that
- 59:47Speaker 1: that person really needed some attention, it wasn't like you
- 59:50Speaker 1: guys are you know? Well, some of these are just
- 59:52Speaker 1: follow ups. They come back, you know, once a year,
- 59:55Speaker 1: check on things, preventative stuff. So well, so we've gotten
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: to the point of the show where we want to
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: fix one of your guys lives. If Tiffany, do you
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: have something that needs fixing or maybe one of your friends? Yeah,
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: where to start? No, I mean we just school just
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: started over here, so that's my main big stressor right now,
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: just trying to get the kids. Do you guys all
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: have children? Well? Uh, yeah, yeah, and you guys are
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: all having to deal with daycare while you're away. Yeah,
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: because we had baby said I've fallen through and you know,
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: still got to come to work and well, yeah, you
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: guys are all essential workers also, so there's there's that
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: how old are your how old are your kids, Tiffany?
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: Mine are ten and seven? Okay? And are they able
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: to attend a school in person these days? So they're
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: going to school? So yeah, so that helps, then, doesn't
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: it do it? So that helps though, then doesn't it
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: that help now? But it wasn't like that for a while.
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: So you guys were what were you guys doing too
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: to combat um, you know, not having I mean we
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: had multiple babysitters. I went through three of them. So wow,
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: are you going to daycare? They still daycare is open
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: and so it's just whatever you can do. That's really hard.
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: And how do you feel, because you're in the medical profession,
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: with them being back at school, do you do you
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: are does that make you anxious or do you feel that,
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: um that they'll be safe there or and the precautions
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: that the school is taking enough. I mean, I hope
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: I'm hoping, but you know, well, you like now, he said,
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: we're all over everything. We're ready for it to be over.
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: We just want to get back to normal life. Uh well,
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: that's tough for you in the medical profession. You guys
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: all know how difficult that's going to be to get
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: back to normal. Uh. Any, there'll be a new normal,
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: I think. I don't necessarily think they'll be what it
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: was before. Like, but yeah, no, I hear you. I
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: imagine it's I imagine it's a relief to have the
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: kids back in school and not have to worry about,
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: you know, who's taking care of them while you're at work.
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: I mean, it's I'll worry, but we'll just have to see.
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: You're a legit in your closet. Where did you think
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: I was when I said that, I was, well, I
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: don't know. I mean listening for a long time. I
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: figured you to get a new spot by now. But
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: it doesn't work. That's fast. I wish it worked that fast.
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: I wish life moved that fast. I wish people were
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: like I wish money came to people that quick. I
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: wish that life was that way. You know. No, h Well, Tiffany,
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: you can't beat the sound quality that comes out of
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: Donald's walking closet. It sounds great, rich and warm. That's true.
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: That is true. Do you want to introduce your friends
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: that you got with you right now? That's what's happening.
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: I have to say. Um, I grew up watching Scrubs
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: when I was in medical school, and so good relief.
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: We sit around all of us and watch it and
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: see the ups and downs. Um and so I've all
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: this new young twenty some year old employees. So we
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: make them, we make them watch Scrubs. Here, understand I
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: appreciate that. So they're not the fans, you're really the fan. Well,
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: I mean I was I here up watching it, but
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: I was twelve when it came out. You make me
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: feel so young. Thank you so much. Um. Well, I
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: don't know that we can fix your life, because that's
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: the problem you brought up. Donald. This might be the
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: first time we're not able to fix someone's life. Because
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: I think we fix her life. I'm going to be
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: how do we fix why? We just talked to her
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: about her conundrum with her children going to ye and
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: I think that right there was enough for her to
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: be like, I feel better about it all. And yeah, yeah,
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: you know you're welcome, Tiffany' you're welcome, You're welcome. Thundersupplause,
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: dan Um, All right, well we gotta get going. Thank
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: you guys for coming on the show. I'm glad we
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: were able to fix all of your lives and uh
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: and happy. Okay. I don't know about that one, Joel.
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: I think that was a bit of a disaster. I
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: thought that woman, that woman, with all with all due respect,
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: she seemed legitimately bothered and annoyed to be having to
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: talk to us. I'm let to go with her favorite
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: shy and like maybe a little overwhelmed to be in
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: your celebrity. She kept doing she kept doing this, Joel. Yeah,
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: I mean, I mean, Joel, I will try harder. Let's
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: work on getting a time when your schedules are actually okay,
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: well no, but and they were. She had nothing prepared.
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: She didn't really have a question other than did we
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: all sleep with each other? And then that's what she
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: was going for. She was wondering who got down with who? Yeah,
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: and then uh, you know, she didn't really have anything
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: that we could fix, because we can't fix Corona. Sadly,
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: if only we could, if only, oh dude, will be
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: better next week. We've got good stuff lined up for you. Hey,
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: So JD walking down the hall saying hi to everyone,
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: after becoming popular for after throwing j D, after throwing
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: turk under the bus. You know what that reminds me of?
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: Can't buy Me Love? God, I don't remember any of
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: you guys seen camp Buy Me Love? Yeah, yes, Cindy Mancini, Lauren,
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: have you seen it? Anyway? It's about a kid who
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: becomes popular after he pays the most popular girl in
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: school to go out with him, right right and the
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: day so they she agrees to do it, and they
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: date for a one month and at the end of
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: the month, he's so popular and they agree at the
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: end of the month that they break up. Right, but
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: he's so popular at this point that she's kind of
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: caught feelings for him. The school really likes him. So
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: they break up and she says to him, you know,
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: just whatever you do, be yourself tomorrow, because you're now this,
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: you know, infamous single guy. You're now this famous single
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: guy in high school. And he walks into the school
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: acting exactly like JD. That's right, I'm here. What's something sack? Oh,
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: let me give you some high five, Oh my dude,
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: and giving everybody hugs and he has his own handshake
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: with everyone and everything like that now And it was
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: that moment that JDB when watching this, I was like,
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: holy shit, JD for popularity becomes the biggest asshole on
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: the planet just to be popular. He's willing to take it.
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: It went to his head. It went to his head
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: like it like that, all he needed was somebody to say,
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: oh shit, you're not the weakest link in this group.
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: Turk is the weakest link because he liked dance, you know.
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: And then and then it ends. It's funny you mentioned
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: in the eighties movie because it reminded me at the
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: end of sixteen Candles when Anthony Michael Hall is like
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: King of the Nerds, right him? And is it John
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: Q Sack But no, in his band and his group,
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: it's him. Yeah, he's like nerd posse. Yeah, he's like
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: one other dude. Yeah yeah. And then like that when
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: the episode ends with like Johnny Castle asking me for
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: my nasal spray and uh we did this shot actually
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: was funny and were I was sitting on the dolly,
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: I remember they were like, how are we going to
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: get him to just levitate and and you know the
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: camera dolly we we we put the camera on has
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: a silent hydraulic lift to it so you can raise
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: the camera silently. And I just sat I remember they
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: put like a little cushion on it, and I just
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: sat on the on the end of the dolly as
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: I rise up and I'm like, I am King of
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: the Dorks or whatever it was. And uh, it reminded
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: me of that moment of in sixteen Candles where Anthony
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: Michael hals or like King of the Nerds. Yeah, Anthony
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: Michael was the King and the Nerds in sixteen Campbells
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: for some horrible reasons. But we won't get into that. Um.
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: Let's also talk about JK and who's the guy helping
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: JK when they're moving Kelso's office. Who was the other
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: guy because he was with us? I forgot his name,
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: but he was another regular. Yeah. And also, did you
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: notice when there's a shot in the when Aloma is
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: when everyone sort of looking at Kelso's portrait that says
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: he's dead. Now, there was a shot of a bunch
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: of our regulars. You had Mickhead and you had Deonte, Yeah,
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: and there was somebody else I wrote down, Um, oh yeah,
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: Aloma obviously, but there was like a whole bunch of
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: our regulars there. Yeah, Mickhead getting more and more screen
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: time as the show evolves. Mickhead turns out to be
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: one of Bill's assassins for this episode. He always came
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: through with the right way of saying his jokes and
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: his lines were all He never overdid it not for
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: this episode. You said for this episode, you mean for
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: the series. I'm sorry for the series he becomes. Just
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: for all of the fans out there who who've watched
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: the show, just watch how much more screen time Mickhead
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: gets as he's introduced as Mickhead. He just you know,
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: Frank was one of those guys that never overcooked it
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: and he never undercooked it. He always stayed on point.
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: And so now at the time, you'll start seeing him
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: more and more in the show from from this moment on.
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: All right, that's the show, Gang. I think we did it.
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: I think, um, I think Lauren had I mean, Lauren,
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: is it safe to say that you had an enjoyable experience? Yeah,
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: this is amazing. Like I was just watching the podcast
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: and I kept forgetting that. I was like, I was interactive.
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: It's an interactive podcast, Lauren. Now, we're glad you're here,
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: and um and thank you to our amazing producer Joel
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: and of course Daniel. Even though you know Joelle's allowed
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: to misfire with a guest every now and then. Guys,
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: I'm sorry Joel's fault that the guests were unprepared. I'm
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: sure they've been emailing her non stop on some stop.
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: I meant that I felt like that woman would have
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: had no different attitude if she was taking one of
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: those DMV courses where you've gotten too many points and
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: you have to like go through the fucking checklist. I
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: feel like I feel like what I feel like. I
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: feel like when the doctor said, when the guy said,
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: I grew up on Scrubs and I make everybody watch it,
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: she was one of those people that he makes watching. Yes,
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: I honestly believe that's the honest, goodness truth, but but
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: I feel like she was. I don't mean that everyone
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: has to be like effusive and excited to be on
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: the show, but it's hard to get on the show.
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: Joelle fields hundreds of emails. I think when we finally
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: pick someone, they should at least seem seventy percent interested
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: in being on the show. I will, I will say this,
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: no mug for her. You know what? You know what?
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: In fact, Joel, pick up a mug and smash it
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: on the ground. This could have been yours, Tiffany, But
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: you not only not only are we not sending her
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: a mug, Joel, I want what would have been her
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: mug smashed on the ground. And then, Joel, I want
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: you to take I want you to take one of
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: those fake doctor's real friends masks and uh and and
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: burn it and just burning your fireplace. Oh gosh, good lord, way,
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: way do you guys? Where do you guys? Hear the
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: fucking merch we have coming? We have beach towels coming,
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: we have washed clogs coming. We're talking about we're talking
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: about wrapping paper. How great would it be this Christmas,
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: this Hanukkah wrap yourself and this this quanza to wrap
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: your present for your family members, this rasha shana to wrap.
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: We don't give presents on Russia shan On, you don't,
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: but no, you can stick. What about Ramadan? Did they
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: get presents on Ramadan? I don't know. No, I don't
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: know either, But Misha, we really need to get up
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: on our on our religious holidays. Amen, Amen, Amen, Um listen.
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: I played Toby Sebastian on here one show, number one Lover,
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: and everybody loved it. Got such great feedback, and so
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: I thought we'd play another jam, another hot jam by
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: Toby Sebastian called Train to Mexico. Really good song. Um
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: and uh. It's on my workout playlist and on my
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: party playlists, and I think you guys will really like it.

- 1:12:38Speaker 1: not on my security camera. Zach. You know when you
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: come home. Of course you have to bubble for a
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: little bit because yeah, two weeks travel and all of
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: that stuff. But I can't wait till we are back
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: in a bubble together again. I am going to, uh,
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: I'm probably gonna just just mount you. I'm gonna mount
