- 0:01Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Hi everyone, it's Justin here, Voices for Voices.
- 0:04Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Thank you so much for joining us.
- 0:06Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Whether you're watching and listening here in the United States or across the world, thank you so much.
- 0:11Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Whether this is your first show or whether you've been with us since episode one, we thank you and are grateful for you.
- 0:19Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: You can give us a thumbs up, like, follow, subscribe, share, reshare, repost, and maybe pull out that phone of yours if it's not already out, and share the Voices for Voices podcast and TV show with uh maybe 25, 50, 100 contacts, all free to do.
- 0:40Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And it would greatly help us reach more people, help more people, and get closer and closer to reaching and helping at least 3 billion people over the course of my lifetime and beyond.
- 0:56Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh, we're just uh incredibly thankful to have a have a platform and have a tiny microphone to be able to talk to you.
- 1:07Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh whether you are watching, whether you're listening, you're all part of the Voices for Voices family.
- 1:17Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And just wanted to let you know and everybody know that uh there's no prerequisite to be part of our our family.
- 1:28Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh come as you are.
- 1:33Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We all have quirks, we all have we all have things.
- 1:38Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh yeah, I say where skeletons in the closet.
- 1:43Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We all have things, and we shouldn't let those things get in the middle of coming together as a human race, as human beings, as people who want to see not only themselves survive and thrive, but others survive and thrive as well.
- 2:12Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Go through the easy, the comfortable times and go through the controversial, challenging times.
- 2:25Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Life is not easy.
- 2:28Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: That's one of the things that I it's in my mind a lot of times, but at times that it amplifies a little bit more is when the new school years start.
- 2:54Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And if we have children, if uh children are in their family, and then they go to school, and we see them growing, getting bigger, getting taller, getting wiser, getting more caring, loving, kindness, and just being just being a human being that is soaking up so much information to learn, and so it's at times like these and other times where we start thinking maybe a little bit about our legacies of what are people gonna remember us by because we're we're not getting out of this life alive.
- 4:03Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I wish I had better better news than that, but we aren't.
- 4:08Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so since we aren't, what do what do we want people to remember about us?
- 4:20Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I don't I don't know if it's for some it may be money, some may be possessions, being a good person, trying to be a good person, because we falter, we all falter at at differing times, and it's okay, and so when that new school year comes around, and we you know sometimes we'll take photos and then we compare them from you know maybe the previous year just to see how much our children have grown, and it it's just we can't stop time.
- 5:25Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: That's the that's the one part that you know, growing up making a lot of bad decisions.
- 5:37Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I thought that life would always be like that, that it would always be that type of a lifestyle, you know, the partying lifestyle and not being the best person, or not even close to being the best person, not even trying to be a good person.
- 6:03Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And then I I don't know where exactly when it hit, when it fully hit, it was November of 2017, but there were clues and signs and symptoms for many years.
- 6:20Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I just didn't want to hear it.
- 6:22Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I didn't want to I didn't want to think that I couldn't handle life.
- 6:34Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And there's some some of us watching, listening that may feel that way.
- 6:45Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Like I can't handle life.
- 6:48Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: It's just too hard.
- 6:53Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: There's too much time spent without hearing maybe congratulations, a pat on the back, a thank you, an award, something.
- 7:14Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Whereas when we're growing up, we get that for the most part, positive reinforcement of you know what's nice at school today, help the friend.
- 7:43Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: You know, we can go down the list, and so we might get a might get a sticker next to our name, we might get a certificate, we might get we might get something from our teacher, and we you know, we feel good about that.
- 8:01Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: It's like, well, I was recognized in a good way, a positive way.
- 8:12Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And then we think about how that feels.
- 8:14Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Well, that feels good to be recognized, and to have that positive reinforcement.
- 8:27Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Not everybody gets that, no but not everybody has that opportunity.
- 8:35Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: You know, I consider myself lucky, and that I did get positive reinforcement growing up, doesn't make life any easier.
- 8:52Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Maybe for that short periods of time, you know, makes us feel good and we're being recognized in a positive way.
- 9:04Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So we go through our formative years, we go through our education, and then we get grades.
- 9:20Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: A A plus, awesome, couldn't do any better, or F.
- 9:28Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We have a lot of work to do, and then time continues.
- 9:39Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We complete degrees, we earn diplomas, may get a certificate here or there.
- 9:57Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And then it gets to the point where Alright, schooling's done.
- 10:05Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I gotta find a job.
- 10:07Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Gotta find find a way to put food on the table.
- 10:15Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And I haven't I haven't been the best at this for a period of time.
- 10:25Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So definitely hits me hard.
- 10:34Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so as days go by, kind of to quote you know the Keith Urban song a little bit.
- 10:44Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: As days go by, we we might not get that positive reinforcement, right?
- 10:53Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Because if we're done with school, who who's gonna be the one that gives us that positive positive reinforcement?
- 11:01Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: A manager or you know, somebody at the organization?
- 11:07Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Okay, well, what if they don't?
- 11:10Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Then that how does that make us feel?
- 11:14Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: It makes us look really hard at ourselves.
- 11:18Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Really hard at ourselves.
- 11:25Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Like am I doing something wrong?
- 11:30Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Can I be doing something better?
- 11:33Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I haven't I haven't I haven't earned my sticker or star or certificate.
- 11:45Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: You name it.
- 11:47Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I haven't earned that, I haven't gotten that in such a long time.
- 11:52Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And then we look back and and it's almost as if, and I'm speaking for myself here, I'm speaking for myself, and then I look I look back at all those years before for me.
- 12:12Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Alright, yeah, there's ups and there's downs.
- 12:18Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And I go.
- 12:32Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I'm gonna have to do a lot of this myself because people at work doesn't automatically mean that they are kind individuals that they know how to give positive reinforcement.
- 12:55Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: They could have come from a place of you know, the the tough love, well, just gotta get through this, you should have done better, gotta get through this, should have did better, should have done better.
- 13:14Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: You missed this, you missed that, you missed this, and then we start thinking, why am I even here?
- 13:23Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Why am I here?
- 13:25Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Why am I here when all I'm getting is negative feedback?
- 13:33Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And then it begins to be like, why am I here?
- 13:40Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Is it worth it?
- 13:41Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Is life worth it?
- 13:44Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And that sometimes takes people to very dark places.
- 13:52Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And if you're there, life is worth living no matter what.
- 13:57Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Matter how bad things think, no matter how bad things seem, life is worth living.
- 14:07Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: There are contributions to the world that you have to be here because we need those contributions from you and everybody, and so I look back, and it's almost like I forget that I went to college.
- 14:34Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: If I forget that I earned an undergraduate degree, I forget that I earned a master's degree, I forget a presentation that went really well.
- 14:56Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Because I'm not getting those those signals of that positive reinforcement.
- 15:07Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And I'm not getting it, and if you're not getting it, it gets pretty scary sometimes.
- 15:21Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And I've been there, I've been to those dark places, those points where there's not a whole lot between wanting to live and wanting not to live.
- 15:38Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So if you're watching and listening and thinking, oh, he's just saying this, he's never been there.
- 15:43Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I've been there a lot of times.
- 15:49Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Too many to count.
- 15:54Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And for some reason, I still come back.
- 16:00Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I still give it another try.
- 16:03Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We film another episode.
- 16:06Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Somebody gets inserted inserted into our lives, like one of our past guests with me, and go, wow, the way the prayer went, one of our previous guests.
- 16:29Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: It was just so emotional because, especially when you're doing things, start your own organization, start your own whatever.
- 16:43Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Do something for the first time in your family history and your family bloodline.
- 16:52Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: There's going to be uncomfortable times, as well as we hope, the good times where people, yeah.
- 17:08Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: People are going to question, people are going to hate that that comes with anything.
- 17:19Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: But it's what's inside of us, and when we look at ourselves in the mirror, can we can we sleep at night?
- 17:28Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: No, I if you're sick, and I I get that.
- 17:32Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: The sleeping at night part.
- 17:34Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: But if we if we're able to, if we're able to be at peace with what we did for the day, what we accomplished, no matter how small.
- 17:52Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Justin Bieber's song, everything hallelujah.
- 17:58Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: One line is brush my teeth, hallelujah.
- 18:04Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I'll tell you what, brushing my teeth, it is like a hallelujah when I do it.
- 18:17Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: You know, some of you say, Oh, yeah, that's eat that's something easy to do.
- 18:22Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: He's just making no.
- 18:24Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I have major depression, and so that means there's some things, brushing my teeth, certain times, where it is like I accomplished something, because I did.
- 18:43Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Because I went through the days, the days of despair, real days of despair, really despair.
- 18:58Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Where I'd sleep in, and I I was at that brink of life or no life.
- 19:09Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Being here on earth and not being here on earth.
- 19:17Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Same with taking a shower.
- 19:20Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: What seemed to be simple things and what were simple things at a period of time, a lot a lot of my life.
- 19:33Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: But there are times where I still don't feel like it.
- 19:38Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I don't want to do it, and so I don't.
- 19:44Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so it does take from above to get me to that point at those certain times to do the hygiene steps.
- 20:21Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Sometimes our past isn't the greatest.
- 20:28Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: For me, there were there are parts that were great and there are parts that weren't.
- 20:35Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And for a majority of the parts that weren't, they were my fault.
- 20:42Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: It's hard to come to grips with that.
- 20:46Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: No matter what age we are.
- 20:50Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: It's very hard.
- 20:58Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Because sometimes we like to put ourselves on a pedestal and go, oh well, I'm I'm up here, and all these other things are over there or down there.
- 21:14Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: When in fact none of us are on pedestals, we're just human beings doing the best we can.
- 21:26Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: That's it.
- 21:30Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so when we have these deep episodes, it's about you know, why am I here?
- 21:35Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Why am I still alive?
- 21:38Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: You heard me say none of us are getting out of this life alive, we're just not.
- 21:47Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So then that gets us thinking, well, why are you why are we here?
- 21:50Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Why are we even here then?
- 21:55Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Is it the money?
- 21:56Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Is it the thing?
- 21:58Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: What is it?
- 22:02Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And that's where I landed at Voices for Voices.
- 22:08Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I wanted to do something to impact positive positivity.
- 22:20Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Positivity.
- 22:24Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I wanted to help a lot of people in a positive way.
- 22:32Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Whether it's through our episodes, our shows, being able to uh do any number any number of things.
- 22:45Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so that's become me.
- 22:50Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: That's why you see my face.
- 22:55Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I'm far from the prettiest person.
- 22:59Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I say a face for a radio.
- 23:11Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So that's the reason I feel and I get validated at certain points from God.
- 23:30Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I'm here to help people.
- 23:34Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I've had I've helped myself more than a lot of people over the course of many, many, many lives.
- 23:50Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so this has been a great way to humble myself.
- 24:01Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And you know what?
- 24:02Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: It feels pretty good to help people.
- 24:05Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Feels pretty good to share stories.
- 24:14Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Good and bad and all in between.
- 24:18Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Feels pretty good to have guests on and have them share.
- 24:28Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And to know that they have a voice too.
- 24:32Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: It's not just me.
- 24:35Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I'm only one person.
- 24:38Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: That's it.
- 24:39Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I'm only one person.
- 24:46Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We gotta do this together to help to reach the three billion threshold.
- 24:57Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And we want to go for more.
- 25:05Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So wherever you're at in life, know that there's better times ahead.
- 25:17Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Some of it we just need to turn off the phones, sit in some quiet, some silence, and just let our mind take over.
- 25:31Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So when we're constantly getting fed information, that's impacting a lot of our decision making.
- 25:42Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We gotta do it from the heart.
- 25:49Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so somebody's social media posts another another podcast, or turn it off.
- 25:59Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Turn it off for five minutes.
- 26:03Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Five minutes every day, or every other day, or five minutes once a week.
- 26:09Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Start small.
- 26:12Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: But make sure it's coming from your heart, not somebody else's heart.
- 26:19Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: It's coming from your heart, not your roommate's heart.
- 26:22Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: From your heart, not your brother, or your sister, or you get the idea.
- 26:31Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Because if you're not in it for the right reasons and you aren't in it all the way, how can you expect others to come with you for the for the journey?
- 26:48Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: That's one thing I've had to learn.
- 26:53Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Because there was a point to begin with, I didn't know if I was going to be all in or not.
- 27:00Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And it got to the point of well, Justin, either you're all in or you're not.
- 27:07Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Like there's no in between.
- 27:11Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And if you're all in, you have to really be all in.
- 27:17Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: It's one thing to say it, but you have to actually do it and exhibit it to others.
- 27:24Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Because that's the only way people are gonna watch, the only way people are gonna listen.
- 27:34Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: The only way people are gonna want more shows and more shows and more guests and more guests and diversity doing different different product units, I guess we'll call it.
- 28:15Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Are there gonna be tough financial times?
- 28:17Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Yes, there is.
- 28:20Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Yes, there is.
- 28:22Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: This doesn't negate any of that.
- 28:25Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: All this does is confirm to others as well as yourself that this is what I'm meant to do.
- 28:39Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Join me.
- 28:40Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Let's help.
- 28:44Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: There's too much division in the world.
- 28:45Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We need the help.
- 28:47Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So let's help people, and that's what Voices for Voices is, what voices for voices does.
- 29:00Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And we every single night pray for every single one of you.
- 29:08Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Pray for ourselves and the whole world.
- 29:12Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Whole world needs prayers, they need good vibes, whatever, whatever your thing is, whether it's God, whether it's doesn't matter.
- 29:21Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: There's always room for you here with us at Voices for Voices.
- 29:29Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So until our next episode, let's celebrate all the voices in the world.
- 29:34Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And then let's bring it, bring it back and say, let's share our voice in the voice of maybe somebody else that's not able to share their voice.
- 29:58Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Because everybody should have that opportunity.
- 30:03Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Let's leave politics out of it.
- 30:05Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Let's talk about human beings.
- 30:09Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So thank you very much for joining us.
- 30:12Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Again, if you can give us a big thumbs up, like, follow, subscribe, share, reshare, repost.
- 30:17Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Get that phone out if it's not already out.
- 30:19Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Share the voices for voices podcast and TV show with maybe 25, 50, 100, 1000 contacts on your phone.
- 30:29Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We greatly appreciate it.
- 30:30Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: All free things to do.
- 30:32Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And if you're able to make a donation, we are a 501c3 nonprofit charity organization.
- 30:38Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: If you go over to Venmo, Cash App, or lovevoices.org.
- 30:44Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Lovevoices.org, lovevoices.org, and make your 100% federal tax deductible donation to voices for voices.
- 30:58Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Here in the United States, it's 100% tax deductible.

- 31:22Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So thank you.
- 31:23Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We love you, we support you, and we'll see you on the next episode.
- 31:28Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Life's worth living.
- 31:30Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Life's worth living, life is worth living.
- 31:35Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Bye bye for now.
