- 0:15If you are a woman who is looking to live your personal truth
- 0:19and make the impact you truly desire, you are in the right place.
- 0:25I'm your host, Wendy Yacboski. Let's step out in this together.
- 0:32So what is an Awakening Woman? One thing about an Awakening Woman is that she's willing to question
- 0:39what she's always believed makes her successful, makes her confident,
- 0:44makes her a part of everyone else, that she belongs to what's going on.
- 0:50But the thing is, is that if we don't question what we believed up until now,
- 0:56we can't have a different experience. So I want us to be able to look at Awakening as
- 1:06seeing what it is that we are believing that is stopping us from going forward,
- 1:13stopping us from listening to that inner voice that says,
- 1:17Honey, this is for you to do. You can do this. But oh my God, do I have the time to do it?
- 1:26I'm so busy. I just can't stop right now. But what if whatever you're feeling called to do
- 1:35or to start could be started in 10 minutes? Not in 10 minutes, but with 10 minutes,
- 1:44with five minutes. Imagine how you'd feel if you could give yourself that portion of time.
- 1:52How would you feel mentally, do you think? Do you think, Oh my God, I started. Oh my God,
- 1:59I had a good thought. Oh my God, I can do this. That's what I want you to look at.
- 2:07Sometimes I know for myself, being transparent here, sometimes I think I need to do the whole
- 2:13thing at once. Do I start? Not likely. As a matter of fact, hardly ever. But there's something
- 2:21called the Pomodoro Method. You may be familiar with it. And that is where we give ourselves,
- 2:28it could be a half an hour, it could be 10 minutes, it could be five minutes. So we do it
- 2:34for that amount of time that we've made an agreement with ourselves to do. And after that
- 2:4010 minutes or five minutes, we can stop if we need to. But what I have found is that when I give
- 2:47myself that time, I want to go further. I get on a roll. Ideas start coming. It's amazing how it
- 2:56happens. So time does not have to be the barrier that it feels like for us. And here's another one,
- 3:05money. Do you ever believe that money is a barrier to doing what you want to do?
- 3:12Now that can be a little bit tough. It's definitely something that I have struggled with.
- 3:18I grew up believing that there was never enough money. And that money doesn't grow on trees.
- 3:28That money, you have to, oh gosh, this is a tough one to say. But I found that for myself,
- 3:37it seemed like to have money, I needed to not be myself. Now, I don't know if that's anything that
- 3:45you have ever experienced or had the idea of. But it's something that I'm needing to
- 3:51to question now. This is one thing I've learned. If I don't ask for what I want,
- 3:58it is never going to happen. I have had so many experiences lately where I have said,
- 4:06I can do this right now. But I can't do that right now. And what I found is that whoever I would be
- 4:12working with is willing to support me, knowing that we've got a plan. Sometimes we just don't
- 4:21have it all at once, all that money. But it doesn't mean that the goal, that the dream,
- 4:28that the initiative is not possible. So let's question our beliefs about money.
- 4:36Another one, the third one that I'm going to talk about is risk. I can't afford the risk.
- 4:44What if I fail? What if I feel humiliated? What if I don't know what to say next?
- 4:51You know, here's the thing I'm learning about risk. I really attribute confidence to risk as well,
- 5:00because it's very risky to not feel confident. And I always used to expect that confidence
- 5:07comes first. When I'm confident enough, I can risk. But here's the deal. Without risking,
- 5:16without taking the action first, I don't have the confidence. And the risk does not happen.
- 5:24So again, let's chunk it down a little. What if we don't have to do the whole thing
- 5:31confidently at once? What if there's one thing in the scheme of what it is we want to do
- 5:38that we feel confident about doing, and we do that, and we build the bridge forward?
- 5:46Building our confidence, building our risk resilience, because we're learning to trust
- 5:52ourselves. These risks, these obstacles to growth are key to be willing to look at, to question,
- 6:03and reframe, because you have a purpose. You have a mission. You have a heart's desire
- 6:13to be able to give yourself in such a way that I'm not going to pretend I know what you want to do,
- 6:21but it's something that's really important for you to do. And I can only tell you that
- 6:29if you don't do it, life will never change. Risk won't change. Money won't change. Time won't
- 6:37change. You'll continue to feel stuck. And I can tell you that from my own experience.
- 6:44I am now starting to move forward in being willing to have questioned what I have thought
- 6:52was necessary to feel successful, to feel fulfilled, to feel confident. And I'm realizing
- 7:00that it's so much less onerous than I thought, because I can chunk it down now. And it takes
- 7:08actually so much less than I thought it did. And one of the things that is really helpful
- 7:16is having at least one person who believes in you, who is experienced in
- 7:25challenging their beliefs and finding a new way to do it, so that you can go to them and say,
- 7:32you know what? I just really need to talk right now. I'm feeling this is impossible.
- 7:38I don't know which way to turn. And that you can feel so safe to talk with them, hear their
- 7:45thoughts, and know that they are not only believing in you, but they are with you in this.
- 7:53Your community is really, really key. I am finding that community is really, really key for me.
- 8:02I want to share something with you that feels a bit vulnerable, but really important for me to
- 8:09share with you. I didn't realize the belief I had that I needed to do everything myself.
- 8:21If I didn't do it myself, the credit was not mine. But what I didn't realize at that time
- 8:31except that I believed I should do it myself, is that I can't do it myself. And that can't
- 8:39is not a weakness. Let's look at this. How much do we really do ourselves?
- 8:47We can do things ourselves, but with the help of others. Sometimes we don't even realize how
- 8:55others are helping us. But when I came to realize that I can't do everything myself,
- 9:02and that when I take action, even with somebody else helping me, we both get the credit. It's
- 9:12not that I don't get any credit. I'm willing. I'm ready. I've reframed it. I am getting the credit,
- 9:19and I acknowledge who has helped me do it. Please, please, please remember that we do
- 9:27nothing alone. You do nothing alone. We don't need to do anything alone. And this is part of
- 9:33the reframe in terms of moving forward with our dream. Because when we can't ask for help,
- 9:42and there is help, it stops us from going forward, or it stops us at that same place every time.
- 9:53I know that place, and I want to support you to move over that place or through it,
- 10:00whatever is working for you. There can be a tendency for women to self-isolate.
- 10:07In speaking for myself, when I self-isolate, it's when I'm not believing in myself.
- 10:17Sometimes women will feel unvalued, unappreciated, unsupported by women or men,
- 10:31and they look at it as, I shouldn't do what I want to do. And when I feel poorly about myself,
- 10:40when I feel like I'm not enough, and I'm not seen, and I'm not heard, it's like I internalize.
- 10:49It's not safe to be out there in what it is that I want to do. And this is where I believe that
- 10:58finding our people, finding our community is really, really important because there are people
- 11:07that see us and hear us and want to support us in going forward. That self-isolation is a behavior.
- 11:16It isn't something that needs to be an ongoing reality in our life. Yes, sometimes we need to
- 11:24go in and think or whatever, but isolation, self-isolation is an old behavior that we can
- 11:37change by finding our community, finding our people one at a time. Don't think you have to
- 11:44have 30 people for you all at once. One at a time works. I have found personally that there is such
- 11:54a huge cost in not going for what matters to me, for going for my dream, for listening to my soul.
- 12:02One of them is lack of self-confidence. It feeds on itself. The other is depression.
- 12:12It's a natural, I'm thinking that it's a natural reaction when some part of us is saying,
- 12:19hello, hello, and we're going, no, no, that our mind and our bodies are connected.
- 12:30So, we can't be thinking one thing and having a different experience in our body. The same as if
- 12:37our bodies experience something, if our mind's not acknowledging it, then the circulation is not
- 12:46happening. So, depression is one of the results. Sickness can be another result. I find that when
- 12:57I'm not following the soul prompts, I'll call it that, that my immunity lowers. I can be not well
- 13:12just for that very reason, I will experience sickness. And, you know, honestly, and I think
- 13:20that everyone on this call not only cares about their soul dream, but they care about others in
- 13:26our life. So, when I am really struggling with who I am, it impacts my relationships.
- 13:34You know, we don't have to be pleasing everyone all the time. It's not about that, but we do want
- 13:43to be happy within ourselves and with those that we love by being ourselves, but also accepting
- 13:52ourselves in such a way that we're showing up in our greatest vibe, let's say, our greatest energy,
- 13:59our greatest light. My hope for everyone listening to this podcast is that you will be willing to
- 14:07not only question what you believed up until now, but to feel safe in being able to question yourself.
- 14:16I want you to feel safe to be who you are because the truth is, is that it's us we see in the mirror
- 14:25every morning. And as you continue to listen to this podcast, I want you to know how supported
- 14:34you are in this community, that you have something valuable and essential to offer, and that
- 14:44every day in every way, as the old saying goes, I know that you are becoming more and more
- 14:53your soul identity, that soul that wants you to grow, that wants you to express,
- 15:01that wants you to love, that wants you to be light in every area of your life. You've got this.
