Doug Band’s Maxwell Emails Clash With His Congressional Testimony (10/2/26) · The Epstein Chronicles

• 0:00
Speaker 1: What's up everyone and welcome to another episode of the
• 0:03
Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. I don't think it's any surprise to anybody
• 0:07
Speaker 1: that's been listening to the podcast when I say that
• 0:10
Speaker 1: I don't believe that the people that were called before
• 0:13
Speaker 1: Congress to talk about Epstein were being honest. And one
• 0:16
Speaker 1: of the most dishonest people that sat in front of Congress,
• 0:20
Speaker 1: in my opinion, was Doug Band. This is a man
• 0:24
Speaker 1: that just recently went on this whole entire whirlwind tour
• 0:28
Speaker 1: of talking about Bill Clinton and his ties to Jeffrey Epstein.
• 0:33
Speaker 1: And then, fast forward to this congressional hearing, and all
• 0:36
Speaker 1: of a sudden he forgot. He misspoke. He doesn't know. Oh, well,
• 0:41
Speaker 1: I don't have any recollection of that. And Congress just
• 0:45
Speaker 1: took it. But thankfully, I'm not the only one that's
• 0:48
Speaker 1: been paying attention to Doug Band and what he's been
• 0:51
Speaker 1: saying over the years. And today, we have an article
• 0:54
Speaker 1: from The Alligator, which is an outlet down in Florida.
• 0:58
Speaker 1: And the headline, Newly Discovered Documents Illuminate Doug Bann's Relationship
• 1:03
Speaker 1: with Glenn Maxwell. This article was authored by Alexa Ryan.
• 1:08
Speaker 1: The Presidential Search Advisory Committee member, whose connections to Jeffrey
• 1:12
Speaker 1: Epstein and Glenn Maxwell were uncovered by the alligator in January,
• 1:16
Speaker 1: testified before Congress June 30th about his relationship with the pair.
• 1:22
Speaker 1: Throughout the 125-page transcribed testimony, Doug Band, who was former
• 1:26
Speaker 1: President Bill Clinton's right-hand man in the 2000s, said he
• 1:30
Speaker 1: didn't recall in response to nearly every question asked about
• 1:34
Speaker 1: his experiences with Epstein and Maxwell. And I told you
• 1:37
Speaker 1: at the time that he was lying. And guess what?
• 1:41
Speaker 1: That's exactly what he's doing and what he did. His
• 1:44
Speaker 1: story has changed so drastically that it's not even funny.
• 1:48
Speaker 1: And I wonder if the Clintons got to him. And
• 1:51
Speaker 1: I know that sounds crazy, right? Like something out of
• 1:53
Speaker 1: a movie. But believe me when I tell you that
• 1:56
Speaker 1: shit happens. There's a lot of pressure that's put on
• 1:59
Speaker 1: people when it comes to these kinds of situations. And
• 2:04
Speaker 1: if you want to make sure that you're not going
• 2:06
Speaker 1: to pay the penalty down the road, you have to
• 2:08
Speaker 1: play ball now. And obviously that's what's happening with Doug Band.
• 2:13
Speaker 1: And there's also been a lot of talk that Doug
• 2:16
Speaker 1: Band and Glenn Maxwell were bumping uglies. So do with
• 2:20
Speaker 1: that as you will. The Alligator's previous investigation into the
• 2:25
Speaker 1: depth of Band's relationship with the two highlighted flirtatious emails
• 2:29
Speaker 1: between Band and Maxwell insinuating a romantic relationship. Band has denied.
• 2:35
Speaker 1: The Alligator couldn't confirm any criminal wrongdoing or whether he
• 2:39
Speaker 1: knew about the crimes being committed by Epstein and Maxwell
• 2:42
Speaker 1: at the time. Well, I'm not going to say that.
• 2:44
Speaker 1: I won't go that far. But the fact that he's
• 2:48
Speaker 1: acting like he has no idea who Glenn Maxwell and
• 2:51
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein were is a gigantic tell, especially considering that
• 2:56
Speaker 1: this man was responsible for bringing them into the sphere, right?
• 3:01
Speaker 1: You weren't getting access to Bill Clinton without going through
• 3:04
Speaker 1: Doug Band. And anybody who was alive during that period
• 3:07
Speaker 1: of time knows exactly what I'm talking about. And then
• 3:10
Speaker 1: you go back to that Vanity Fair article where Doug
• 3:12
Speaker 1: Band was just spilling all the beans about the Clintons
• 3:16
Speaker 1: and then match it up to what he said during
• 3:18
Speaker 1: the congressional testimony. And it's obvious that he's lying. In
• 3:23
Speaker 1: the testimony, he said he doesn't recall many interactions with Maxwell,
• 3:27
Speaker 1: although he did say that they were friends socially. Oh yeah,
• 3:31
Speaker 1: friends socially, yeah, yeah. What does that mean? Well, in
• 3:34
Speaker 1: my opinion, it means that him and Ghislaine Maxwell were
• 3:37
Speaker 1: on the creep. And boy, has there been a bigger
• 3:41
Speaker 1: skafooza in this whole entire story than Ghislaine Maxwell? I mean,
• 3:45
Speaker 1: is there anybody that she wasn't getting her back blown
• 3:48
Speaker 1: out by? Despite denying visiting Little St. James, Epstein's infamous
• 3:56
Speaker 1: island in the Caribbean, where children were believed to have
• 3:58
Speaker 1: been abused by him and his co-conspirators, emails connected Band
• 4:03
Speaker 1: insinuate he was at least invited. Band previously indicated he
• 4:08
Speaker 1: often used an email labeled WJC. When asked by the
• 4:11
Speaker 1: House Oversight Committee in June if all the emails sent
• 4:14
Speaker 1: from WJC email accounts were his, Band said, I believe so. Oh,
• 4:18
Speaker 1: I believe so. This dude actually expects us to believe
• 4:22
Speaker 1: that he had some kind of shared email account. Oh, yeah, yeah,
• 4:25
Speaker 1: I share my email account with Joe Bob from down
• 4:27
Speaker 1: the way. A guy like Doug Band, dealing with all
• 4:31
Speaker 1: kinds of sensitive information, is not sharing his email with anyone. Well,
• 4:38
Speaker 1: except for maybe Jeffrey Epstein and his little gumad over here,
• 4:41
Speaker 1: Glenn Maxwell. Other emails available in the Epstein file database
• 4:47
Speaker 1: also implicate Band as the sender and the owner of
• 4:50
Speaker 1: the account. In April 2002, the WJC sender wrote an
• 4:55
Speaker 1: email to Maxwell. Email it to my regular email, dband,
• 4:59
Speaker 1: at owjc.org. In another email, to the WJC account, Maxwell
• 5:04
Speaker 1: addressed the recipient as my dearest Douglas. Yo, imagine Ghislaine
• 5:09
Speaker 1: Maxwell calling you her dearest anything. I'd rather stare directly
• 5:14
Speaker 1: into the eyes of Medusa. I'd rather spend time in
• 5:18
Speaker 1: a Taliban prison. I'd rather listen to the 11 Lindsay
• 5:22
Speaker 1: Clancy jurors that berated the one holdout juror. My dearest Douglas.
• 5:29
Speaker 1: On August 25th, 2002, the account sent an email to
• 5:32
Speaker 1: Maxwell indicating the sender had been invited to the island.
• 5:36
Speaker 1: To what? Come back to NY to play with me.
• 5:39
Speaker 1: Fun week here, reads the email, which was sent from
• 5:42
Speaker 1: an account ending in WJC, Clinton's initials. Island looks unlikely
• 5:47
Speaker 1: for me. going with WJC on a brief vacation, then
• 5:51
Speaker 1: back for two days. Can't do Hawaii either. Does that
• 5:54
Speaker 1: sound like somebody that's not intimately attached to somebody or connected?
• 5:59
Speaker 1: How many people do you talk to where you're talking
• 6:02
Speaker 1: about vacations, this, that, the other thing, and you're not
• 6:05
Speaker 1: close to them? I know personally, I'm not going on
• 6:08
Speaker 1: vacation with anybody that I'm not close to. So they
• 6:12
Speaker 1: can save the whole entire shuffling of the story for
• 6:15
Speaker 1: somebody else. And once again, I'm calling on Congress to
• 6:19
Speaker 1: do their job and hold Doug Band accountable. Despite denying
• 6:23
Speaker 1: having had anything more than friendship with Maxwell, several emails
• 6:27
Speaker 1: further indicate a more serious relationship between the pair in
• 6:30
Speaker 1: the 2000s. On December 16, 2002, Maxwell sent an email
• 6:35
Speaker 1: to a redacted email address. Boo-boo, I'm in PB. We
• 6:39
Speaker 1: came back from the island a few days and may
• 6:42
Speaker 1: come to New York tomorrow. Are you around? I am
• 6:45
Speaker 1: very ill and require immediate medical attention. I'm suffering from boo-boo-itis,
• 6:51
Speaker 1: a very serious condition. Without a boo-boo fix, the symptoms
• 6:54
Speaker 1: become very pronounced. A withdrawn, faraway look, frequent sighing, prone
• 6:59
Speaker 1: to cries into the night that sound like Shakespeare's sonnets
• 7:02
Speaker 1: that sound like this. Oh, Douglas. Oh, Douglas. Wherefore art thou, Douglas?
• 7:09
Speaker 1: Hang on a minute. I have to throw up real quick.
• 7:11
Speaker 1: All right, we're back. But all kidding aside, Can anyone
• 7:16
Speaker 1: sit here and tell me that Congress shouldn't be looking
• 7:20
Speaker 1: deeper into Doug Band, at the very least, for lying
• 7:22
Speaker 1: to them? You would think that they'd take that serious,
• 7:25
Speaker 1: and you would think that that would be a gigantic issue.
• 7:28
Speaker 1: But I guess anybody can just get up there and
• 7:30
Speaker 1: tell whatever lies they want to Congress. On the same day,
• 7:35
Speaker 1: the WJC account also sent an email to a redacted address.
• 7:39
Speaker 1: I love it. You make me miss boo-boo even more.
• 7:42
Speaker 1: My boo-boo-itis is also reaching epic proportions. I'm here all week,
• 7:47
Speaker 1: lots going on, but I will be in Boo Booville
• 7:49
Speaker 1: the second you arrive from Redacted on Monday. Alright, look,
• 7:54
Speaker 1: do I need to break down what they're talking about?
• 7:56
Speaker 1: I don't think I do. Talking about a booty call, right?
• 8:01
Speaker 1: Come fly in, get that ass spanked real quick, and
• 8:03
Speaker 1: call it a day. In December 2002, Maxwell and the
• 8:10
Speaker 1: WJC account exchanged a number of details about their plans
• 8:14
Speaker 1: to meet up while they were both in New York City.
• 8:17
Speaker 1: We have lots to catch up on. And even more given,
• 8:20
Speaker 1: I'm going to Naomi's party tonight at Cipriani's with Brenda. Yikes,
• 8:24
Speaker 1: I miss you. How long are you here for? We
• 8:27
Speaker 1: have to have alone time soon, or I'll even be
• 8:29
Speaker 1: more ill than you, boo-boo, Maxwell wrote to the WJC account.
• 8:34
Speaker 1: And maybe I have to repost the Doug Band transcript
• 8:37
Speaker 1: over the weekend so you can see the lies. Because,
• 8:40
Speaker 1: you know, I know we go through a lot of stuff, right?
• 8:42
Speaker 1: And it's hard to keep everything straight. But I told
• 8:45
Speaker 1: you at the time of that testimony that Doug Band
• 8:47
Speaker 1: was not being truthful. And I think that's overwhelmingly obvious
• 8:51
Speaker 1: at this point. The WJC account wrote back, Oh, you
• 8:55
Speaker 1: do love trouble. I would love some private time. I'm
• 8:58
Speaker 1: going to stay in New York until Friday evening and
• 9:00
Speaker 1: then come back down to PB. I obviously have flexible
• 9:04
Speaker 1: plans as I was not even meant to be in
• 9:06
Speaker 1: New York and have just started making plans. We can
• 9:09
Speaker 1: do everything including breakfast. Oops, I get saucy around Christmas.
• 9:13
  Speaker 1: Of course I am under doctor's orders. It's as a
• 9:16
Speaker 1: heavy dose of boo-boo as my prescription. Sometimes being sick
• 9:20
Speaker 1: can be fun. Well, that's disturbing when you look at
• 9:22
Speaker 1: everything in context. Sometimes being sick can be fun. Well,
• 9:26
Speaker 1: Glenn Maxwell is certainly sick. A sick degenerate. A bipedal serpent.
• 9:32
Speaker 1: A child molester. A child abuser. And an all-around scumbag.
• 9:36
Speaker 1: And that's who Doug Band chose to spend his time with.
• 9:38
Speaker 1: And that's who Doug Band chose to have carnal relations with.
• 9:44
Speaker 1: According to the reporting, And in 2001, And in 2001,
• 9:50
Speaker 1: Ban wrote to Maxwell from his personal email confirming he
• 9:52
Speaker 1: and Clinton use the same phone. However, he denied sharing
• 9:54
Speaker 1: a BlackBerry phone with Clinton. In his June testimony, just
• 10:21
Speaker 1: another lie. I mean, lie after lie after lie, and
• 10:25
Speaker 1: no accountability. Meanwhile, the rest of us, we better play
• 10:29
Speaker 1: by the rules. In 2002, Maxwell asked a WJC account
• 10:33
Speaker 1: if she could bring her crew with her to the movies.
• 10:35
Speaker 1: We're going to the movies, and then we will meet you.
• 10:38
Speaker 1: Two questions, where? And, there is a crew here, plus
• 10:41
Speaker 1: two Brazilians. Can they come too if we come? Thoughts?
• 10:44
Speaker 1: Maxwell wrote. In 2004, Ban sent an email to Maxwell.
• 10:49
Speaker 1: appearing to detail a business deal. Atiyah's met with Mary today.
• 10:53
Speaker 1: She likes him a lot. Smart of him. They talked money,
• 10:56
Speaker 1: and Mary was shy about it, and they talked about
• 11:00
Speaker 1: low six figures. I would like to see her do better. Thanks,
• 11:03
Speaker 1: it's important for WJC, me to get her taken care of.
• 11:07
Speaker 1: She did a lot in the old days. Surely he's
• 11:10
Speaker 1: paying people tons, so $ 250, 000 shouldn't be out of the question.
• 11:14
Speaker 1: Hope Florida is fun. I'm never coming back, he wrote
• 11:17
Speaker 1: in an email. And I'm not too sure who Mary is.
• 11:21
Speaker 1: Maybe Mary Erdos? Very possible. And the Atias? Obviously Peter Atia, right? Dr.
• 11:26
Speaker 1: Peter Atia? That would be my guess. Gustavo Lage, a
• 11:31
Speaker 1: criminal lawyer and former prosecutor in the Miami-Dade County State
• 11:34
Speaker 1: Attorney's Office, said it would take more than just documents
• 11:38
Speaker 1: found in the Epstein files to determine any criminal wrongdoing
• 11:41
Speaker 1: on Ban's part, like perjury or lying under oath. They
• 11:46
Speaker 1: can use the statements that he made before Congress and
• 11:48
Speaker 1: the transcript from Congress against him, he said, but you
• 11:52
Speaker 1: would have to have somebody come testify and be able
• 11:54
Speaker 1: to prove what he said wasn't true. Well, he says
• 11:58
Speaker 1: in the email that he was using the phone that
• 12:00
Speaker 1: Clinton was using, and then he lied about it to Congress.
• 12:05
Speaker 1: That's one provable lie, and I think there's a lot more.
• 12:07
Speaker 1: The burden of proof would be a lot lower in
• 12:10
Speaker 1: a civil trial, he added. It's a significantly more relaxed standard,
• 12:13
Speaker 1: he said. The difference is because in one case, a
• 12:17
Speaker 1: person's liberty is at stake, and in another matter, a
• 12:20
Speaker 1: person is being exposed to a money judgment. The biggest
• 12:23
Speaker 1: hurdle apart from proving criminality is the statute of limitations
• 12:27
Speaker 1: on criminal wrongdoing in these cases. Any adults abused by
• 12:31
Speaker 1: Epstein or his co-conspirators have passed the statute of limitations,
• 12:35
Speaker 1: Laghi said. Vino Varghese, a white collar and criminal defense
• 12:39
Speaker 1: lawyer in New York City, said it's unlikely anything will
• 12:42
Speaker 1: come from Bann's testimony before Congress or the documents uncovered
• 12:46
Speaker 1: in the Epstein files. Political theater, folks. There it is.
• 12:50
Speaker 1: Exactly like I told you. The question is, are you
• 12:52
Speaker 1: going to accept it? They work for you. Keep that
• 12:55
Speaker 1: in mind. I think a whole bunch of these congressional
• 12:58
Speaker 1: hearings were trying to uncover dirt and try to see
• 13:01
Speaker 1: if there's anything that could potentially tie all these people
• 13:04
Speaker 1: that were on the flights to Epstein's Island together. into
• 13:06
Speaker 1: any sort of criminality, and nothing's coming. In my view,
• 13:09
Speaker 1: it's much ado about nothing. Mr. Vino Varkes has no
• 13:13
Speaker 1: idea what he's talking about, folks. Congratulations, buddy. Inserting yourself
• 13:16
Speaker 1: into a topic you have no idea about. It would
• 13:19
Speaker 1: be like me jumping in and talking about complex math equations.
• 13:23
Speaker 1: Or maybe, just maybe, you should stay in your lane
• 13:26
Speaker 1: and talk about the shit that you know about. Lying
• 13:31
Speaker 1: before Congress is most likely charged with ban could receive.
• 13:35
Speaker 1: He said if it's somehow proven banned and Maxwell had
• 13:37
Speaker 1: a romantic relationship. However, even that is very unlikely. Hypothetically,
• 13:42
Speaker 1: if they were somehow demonstrated that there was a video
• 13:45
Speaker 1: of the two of them having sex or something along
• 13:47
Speaker 1: those lines, or she came out and said that no,
• 13:50
Speaker 1: we were actually in a sexual relationship, you could potentially
• 13:53
Speaker 1: see a charge for lying to Congress, he said. Reactions
• 13:56
Speaker 1: or lack thereof. When Bann's initial connections to Epstein and
• 14:00
Speaker 1: Maxwell were revealed in January and February, UF said the
• 14:04
Speaker 1: documents didn't warrant any action and declined to comment a
• 14:07
Speaker 1: second time. UF College Democrats President Harper Miller said UF
• 14:12
Speaker 1: made the wrong choice, adding that the university's response both
• 14:15
Speaker 1: times was disappointing. The decision to essentially push this under
• 14:19
Speaker 1: the rug is disrespectful and hurtful to sexual assault victims
• 14:23
Speaker 1: at UF and in the Gainesville community. And it sets
• 14:26
Speaker 1: a dangerous precedent in the future. If we as a
• 14:29
Speaker 1: university are deciding to take an individual's claims of innocence
• 14:33
Speaker 1: at face value, she said, well, look, everybody's innocent until
• 14:37
Speaker 1: proven guilty. We shouldn't just be accepting allegations. What we
• 14:43
Speaker 1: should be doing is investigating allegations. And then if there's
• 14:46
Speaker 1: anything there, we move the process forward. And that's not
• 14:49
Speaker 1: just for the Epstein story. That should be for everything.
• 14:52
Speaker 1: Everything should be evidence-based. Nothing should be based on feelings
• 14:56
Speaker 1: or vibes or astrological signs. How about we just base
• 15:00
Speaker 1: things on facts? Miller said she hopes that the university
• 15:05
Speaker 1: launches an independent investigation given the response of other universities
• 15:09
Speaker 1: in similar situations. In an email to The Alligator on
• 15:13
Speaker 1: September 23rd, UF spokesperson Blake Trowski declined to comment. When
• 15:19
Speaker 1: MIT discovered Epstein made a series of donations to the
• 15:23
Speaker 1: university from 2002 to 2017. It launched an independent investigation
• 15:28
Speaker 1: into who facilitated the donations and whether they knew about
• 15:31
Speaker 1: them after his conviction. Following the findings, the director of
• 15:35
Speaker 1: the MIT Media Lab, who was found to have known
• 15:39
Speaker 1: about the donations, resigned and MIT leadership revised its donation
• 15:43
Speaker 1: acceptance guidelines. The university went on to donate every dollar
• 15:47
Speaker 1: Epstein gave to the university, to four non-profit organizations serving
• 15:52
Speaker 1: sexual assault victims. Look, I told you from the very
• 15:55
Speaker 1: beginning that Doug Band was bullshitting. And I still feel
• 15:58
Speaker 1: that way. But I don't think that the reaction should
• 16:01
Speaker 1: be to shrug our shoulders and just say, you know what,
• 16:03
Speaker 1: they all lied. I think it's time to hold people accountable.
• 16:07
Speaker 1: And I think that Doug Band is as good a
• 16:09
Speaker 1: place as any to get that started. All the information
• 16:13
Speaker 1: that goes with this episode can be found in the
• 16:16
  Speaker 1: description box.
