Very handy. Luna: Ooh, like "When does the train leave?" kind of thing? Lucas: Exactly. So the key question is: రైలు ఎప్పుడు బయలుదేరుతుంది? Say it with me. Luna: రైలు ఎప్పుడు బయలుదేరుతుంది? That's a mouthful! Lucas: You got it. రైలు means train, ఎప్పుడు means when, and బయలుదేరుతుంది means departs. So literally "train when departs?" Luna: Okay, so the verb comes at the end. Got it. రైలు ఎప్పుడు బయలుదేరుతుంది? Lucas: Perfect. Now let's say the train departs at 10 o'clock: రైలు పది గంటలకు బయలుదేరుతుంది. Luna: పది గంటలకు — that's "at 10 o'clock," right? Lucas: Yes. పది is ten, గంటలకు means at the hour. So the whole phrase: రైలు పది గంటలకు బయలుదేరుతుంది. Luna: రైలు పది గంటలకు బయలుదేరుతుంది. So if I wanted to say it departs at 2, I'd say రెండు గంటలకు? Lucas: Exactly! You're catching on. Now another useful question: ఎక్కడ బయలుదేరుతుంది? — "From where does it depart?" Luna: ఎక్కడ బయలుదేరుతుంది? That's for asking the platform or station? Lucas: Yes.
