- 0:14Welcome to Trevor Loud Reports on America Out Loud.
- 0:18Today I'm going to talk about democratic socialists of America.
- 0:22We've heard a lot about them lately with Zo Ran Mandami and before that AOC and Rashida Tlaibe and they keep on winning council seats and taking over little county commissions and just growing and growing, growing like topsy.
- 0:41But who are these people?
- 0:42You know, um Zoran Mandami has become the mayor of New York, and we've been told no, he's not a communist.
- 0:49He's just uh, you know, he's a democratic socialist, and this is this is different.
- 0:56This is more like Sweden, it's more like France, it's more like Switzerland, it's not like the old Eastern bloc or anything like that.
- 1:05Nothing, nothing to be scared of.
- 1:08Well, I'm terrified, to be honest.
- 1:11If I was in New York, I would be completely terrified.
- 1:15Um, New York, by the way, has had a democratic socialist of America member as a mayor in the past, and uh that was back in the early 90s, the worst time for New York when the crime was up, the you know, Times Square was a sewage pit, sewage sewage pool, and uh the tourists were staying away, and businesses were suffering.
- 1:40And that was David Dinkins, who served one term from 1990 to 1993, and they couldn't wait to get rid of him.
- 1:48And they brought in Giuliani, who brought in his um, you know, broken windows policy, you know, prosecuting people for the lowest level of crimes to cut the crime levels overall, and things rebounded fast.
- 2:04Well, Mandami is way, way, way worse than Dinkins.
- 2:08Dinkins was the old school democratic socialists of America, a Marxist, but not a crazy man, but Zoan Bandami, he is hardcore.
- 2:20DSA back then could claim to be not quite communist.
- 2:25It can't now.
- 2:26It's communist.
- 2:27It is a hundred percent communist organization.
- 2:31So what actually is democratic socialists of America?
- 2:37Well, you know, the United States is for a long time, for a hundred years, has had two basic strands of Marxism.
- 2:45Well, three or four if you count Trotskyism and later on Maoism, etc.
- 2:51But the oldest two strands are the Communist Party and the Socialist Party, both Marxist, but the Communist Party was more openly allied to the Soviet Union and then later communist China, whereas the Socialist Party was more allied to the international socialist organizations.
- 3:14It would be allied to the British Socialist Party and the French Socialist Party and Canadian Socialist Groups and that sort of thing, not so much to the actually existing socialism, not so much to the Eastern Bloc Communist type operations.
- 3:31So in the you know, the socialist the socialist groups were the main groups up until 1919.
- 3:42There were several socialist parties in America.
- 3:45They coalesced into one major socialist party party, uh, used to run Norman Thomas as their candidate all the time, you know, for about six elections in a row.
- 3:56But in 1919, many of the socialists broke away to follow the Bolsheviks, the leaders of the Soviet revolution in Russia.
- 4:08And so they've in Chicago they founded the Communist Party USA.
- 4:12And for a start, there were two communist, then there were two communist parties for a while, but Moscow forced them to amalgamate.
- 4:20And from about 1921, you had one major communist party in the United States, Communist Party USA, which still exists.
- 4:29And it went up to about a hundred thousand members during World War II when America was sort of allied to the Soviet Union, and it was a sort of semi-acceptable to be a communist.
- 4:40It dropped right back into by the time the early 2000s came around, it was probably down to 1,500, 2,000 members.
- 4:50Now it's more likely about 5,000.
- 4:53And but you know, with hangers on and unions, and they can command a lot of influence around the country.
- 5:02They have churches under their control, they have unions under their control, they have um social agencies and social groups.
- 5:11So although it's only about 5,000 members, they are allied to the Communist Party of Russia, to China, to Vietnam, Mexico, all around the world.
- 5:20They are they are still an influential group.
- 5:23But democratic socialists of America, that came out of the Socialist Party strand.
- 5:30Okay, so the Socialist Party limped on through the 30s and it got quite big again in the 30s, lost a lot of people to the Communist Party.
- 5:40But by the 40s and 50s, it was splitting this way and that.
- 6:40He played a big role in theorizing and forming the basis of Lyndon Baynes Johnson, President Johnson's great society, that great push towards socialism that happened in the early 60s, this big big push to big, big push to bring to bring welfare to the black communities, to bring welfare to the poor white communities.
- 7:10The the probably the one most destructive programs in American history.
- 7:15You know, before the 60s, you know, black families that'd come out of Jim Crow, they were coming out of Jim Crow, they'd come out of slavery.
- 7:23They were doing okay.
- 7:24They were getting into the middle class, you know, the black black communities had lower illegitimacy rates, um, lower divorce rates and higher higher church going rates than the white community.
- 7:37They're all heading in the right direction.
- 7:39And then came the Great Society, um, theorized and worked on by Michael Harrington.
- 7:46Um and Lyndon Baines Johnson put millions of black people onto welfare, destroyed the families, um, took the need for a father out of the families, and we see the results around us every single day.
- 8:00Lyndon Baines Johnson famously said, we'll get those N-words voting Democrat for 200 years.
- 8:09That was that cynical, and look at the damage that he did to this country, all inspired by Michael Harrington, the founder of DSOC, which in 1982 amalgamated with a group called the New American Movement, uh, very patriotic sounding name, right?
- 8:29Um, to form Democratic Socialists of America.
- 8:32They formed it in 1982.
- 8:34But who was the New American movement?
- 8:37Well, in the late 60s, the late 60s, the um the communist party uh split again.
- 8:47This was around 68 when the when the Soviet tanks rolled into Czechoslovakia to sh to snuff out Dubchek's Prague Spring.
- 8:58This was a so-called liberal brand of communism.
- 9:01It was a farce in my opinion.
- 9:03It was a scam, but anyway, it caused a rift in the world communist movement.
- 9:10And some communists left the party, or even some parties split into pro-Soviet factions and more liberal-minded factions.
- 9:20Well, some of the less Soviet aligned people in the in the Communist Party split, and they joined up with a whole bunch of former SDS radicals, you know, students for a democratic society, and they formed the new American movement, which was actually very, very pro-China.
- 9:45And um, so they formed this this new movement, very pro-Nicaraguar, pro-China, but but supposedly socialist.
- 9:54And they were about a thousand members.
- 9:56D Soc, I think had about three or four thousand members.
- 10:00Members at this stage.
- 10:01And in 1982, they put aside their differences and they formed Democratic Socialists of America, led by Michael Harrington.
- 10:12And immediately their goal was to infiltrate and take over the left wing of the Democratic Party.
- 10:20They saw socialism coming to America through the left wing of the Democratic Party.
- 10:26And it was not surprising that one of their earliest friends was a young man called Barack Obama, who went to their meetings and went to their conferences, and also formed that view under the influence of many DSA members, including his position physician, uh Quentin Young, the founder of basically the founder of the socialized health care movement in this country.
- 10:52It was Quentin Young who got Obama onto the Obamacare Socialized Healthcare track, very much so.
- 11:01That was uh that were that was uh that was where that came from.
- 11:07So, you know, you can see this DSA has had a major impact on America from behind the scenes.
- 11:13And so DSA really got going and they started to work with left-wing Congress members very close to Ted Kennedy for many years.
- 11:22Ted Kennedy and Michael Harrington were close friends, they would endorse each other's books.
- 11:28You know, Ted Kennedy was basically uh uh uh a de facto member of them of Democratic Socialists of America, worked very closely with them while also working with the Soviet Union in 1984 uh 1984, I think it was he he ran briefly for president and he went to the Soviet Union to um get them to help him win the presidency to counter Reagan's foreign policy.
- 11:56He asked for Soviet help, and um when a friend of mine, Paul Kingor published that because he found in the archives in Moscow, uh it didn't cause much of a stir.
- 12:10But um uh he asked uh Paul King or asked a CIA guy, you know, did you guys know that Kennedy was working with the Soviets?
- 12:21And he said, Yeah, of course, of course we knew that.
- 12:24And he said, Well, why didn't you do anything?
- 12:26He says, Well, he's Kennedy, he's untouchable, and that is why Clinton is untouchable, you know, Obama's untouchable, all these top levels Soros is untouchable.
- 12:39You get to a certain level, and nobody dares to touch you, and apparently, including President Trump, because uh Trump goes after Andyfar, but he hasn't gone after Soros yet.
- 12:50He hasn't gone after the Clintons, he hasn't gone after Obama because um he'll go for the low-level stuff, but we haven't seen any real movement.
- 13:00And I hope I'm wrong, hope it comes, I hope it happens on those high level people.
- 13:06So, you know, Democratic Socialist America expands pretty rapidly by by the early 80s, it's got uh mid-80s, got about six or seven thousand members, got up to about 10 or 11,000 members by about 1990.
- 13:21I think that was it was growing pretty well.
- 13:24They had a youth section, the young socialists.
- 13:27They um were very well accepted in the uh Democratic Party.
- 13:33Um, you know, you had people like Jerry Nadler, who became a congressman who was a member, Jan Chikowski, who's still a there's a but still a congressman, he's leaving at this term end of this term.
- 13:44Jan Shaikowski of Chicago, another DSA member, Danny Davis of Chicago, another DSA member, Mary Joe Kilroy of Ohio, um, a brief one-term congresswoman, DSA member.
- 13:59Um there was quite a major Owens of New York, another DSA member, uh, Ron Dallums of California, another DSA member, even and he was serving on the Armed Services Committee while he was working with the Cubans and the Communist Grenadins while serving on the Armed Services Committee, chairman of one of their major subcommittees.
- 14:21So DSA was doing well.
- 14:23They were having they were getting a mayors elected all over the country and San Francisco and Albany, New York, um, David Dinkins, as I mentioned before, lots of city councillors, lots of state reps.
- 14:37They even had a Republican state rep in South Dakota for a while, because in South Dakota at that time, you couldn't get elected, and still you couldn't get elected to the legislature unless you were a republican.
- 14:50So this Marxist DSA became a Republican and got elected from South Dakota.
- 14:56So and they also worked through the Green Party, but the main avenue was through the Democrats.
- 15:04And they had about 2,000 academics on their role.
- 15:08You know, university professors also had a religious commission, very, very uh large, significant numbers of left-wing churchmen were members, um, you know, top people in the Episcopalian church, even Mormons, um, top um people in synagogues, very prominent people in um Unitarian Church and and other and and several of the major um Christian denominations, right at the top of the Episcopalians, for example, um, top Catholics were members.
- 15:45So there was a big religious component, a very academic component, and quite a significant labor union component.
- 15:53Um, Cesar Chavez, many of his friends were DSA members.
- 15:57I think Cesar was himself, but not publicly.
- 16:01Um, but Dolores Howerta, his um is offside, his number two was a very prominent member.
- 16:09Um, so was Aliseo Medina, and I'll fast forward on Aliso for a little for a little minute.
- 16:17Also Medina is the father of the illegal immigration movement.
- 16:21He worked with Cesar Chavez in the uh farm workers' union, then he became a top official in SEIU um executive vice president, I believe it was, the biggest private sector union in the country, two million members.
- 16:37And so he went out there and um he he uh campaigned and campaigned and campaigned for uh for legalization of illegal immigrants and in two in 1994, DSA took over the AFL CIO.
- 16:58Because up until that time, the uh the um AFL CIO, the peak trade union body in the country, had been controlled by anti-communists like Lane Kirkland and George Meany, and they actually had a clause in the constitution banning communists from holding office in their unions.
- 17:17But in 1994, John Sweeney of DSA and several others from SCIU, etc.
- 17:23kicked out Lane Kirkland and Sweeney took over as president of the AFL CIO.
- 17:30And they removed the anti-communist clause from the AFL CIO's constitution, and the Marxists came flooding back in.
- 17:37Now, up until that time, DSA's Communist Party, you name it.
- 17:43Up until that time, the AFL CIO, like the Democratic Party, was militantly opposed to illegal immigration because they understood that illegal immigrants took workers' jobs, they lowered wages and conditions, they broke strikes, they were not good for unionized workers.
- 18:03So they um so they uh, you know, the they the Democratic Party reflected that because one thing you'll learn is that DSA pushes the direction of the Democratic Party because DSA controls so many unions and so many Democratic chairmanships and committees, etc., that their policy becomes Democrat policy.
- 18:30It's the Communist Party USA and Democratic Socialist America drive completely the policy formation of the Democratic Party because they have so many secret members, and there's so many members, DSAs and DSA sympathizers in the Congress and the Senate, what they say goes.
- 18:48And because they control the unions and the um, you know, no Democrat can get elected without union support.
- 18:57The Democrats pretty much do what DSA tells them to do.
- 19:01There's a bit of pushback when they get too extreme, but by and large they go along.
- 19:06You know, Nancy Pelosi was very close to DSA, for instance.
- 19:09So, you know, she'd push back against them occasionally when they went too crazy, but by and large, she would follow what they wanted.
- 19:17And so at that time, DSA, um, you know, DSA took over the AFL CIO.
- 19:26At that time, the AFL CIO was anti-illegal immigration.
- 19:31Well, at 2000, the year 2000, Alison Medina at their conference in Los Angeles managed to get the the AFL CIO to 100% flip their policy from opposition to illegal immigration to complete support for it.
- 19:50Now, Alis O'Madina would then become Obama's unofficial advisor on immigration.
- 19:57Obama said in our movie, uh we
- 20:00We quote him, we we show the clip in our movie Enemies Within.
- 20:06We say Obama says, whenever I make a decision on immigration, I consult with LSO Medina first.
- 20:14So that's where the push to open borders came from.
- 20:19And why did they do this?
- 20:20LSO Medina, we quote them again.
- 20:23Haven't we get another clip of them in their movie Enemies Within?
- 20:28Available through our website, TrevorLoudon.com, a must see.
- 20:32Got nearly three million views on Amazon Prime, so they took it down.
- 20:37And uh he said, this is what Ellis Medina said to a progressive conference in Washington, DC in 2009.
- 20:45Latinos voted overwhelmingly for Obama and progressive candidates.
- 20:5070%.
- 20:52There are 11 million undocumented workers right now.
- 20:56If we stand by these people and get them citizenship and voting rights, they will stand with our movement.
- 21:02That will give us at least eight million new Democratic Party voters.
- 21:08That will give us a governing majority for the foreseeable future, meaning forever.
- 21:15That was the whole purpose.
- 21:17Eight million new Democrats.
- 21:20Um most presidential elections are won or lost by less than five million votes.
- 21:26So you can see what a huge advantage that would have been to the Democratic Party.
- 21:31And it's uh so proud of the Tea Parties for basically stopping the amnesty, illegal immigration amnesty under under Obama.
- 21:44That that saved America.
- 21:46They absolutely saved America because if that got that um extra eight million voters, and it wouldn't have been eight million, it would have been more like sixteen million because when they were saying eleven was more like twenty.
- 21:58Now it's probably north of 40 million.
- 22:01Trump's gonna target its support to deport one million illegals this year.
- 22:08One million.
- 22:10That's not even gonna, that's not even, you know, they'll probably breed faster than that.
- 22:16You know, that's no 40 years to get rid of them.
- 22:20No, and we'd never catch up because in 40 years, they would multiply by three or four times.
- 22:26You know, so you know, and I'll say this.
- 22:30Unless Trump gets serious about e-verify, meaning that the the laws passed that any employer caught employing illegals will be deeply prosecuted, heavily fined, even jailed.
- 22:44He is not serious about ending the illegal immigration.
- 22:48Not serious.
- 22:50You know, it's all for show, unless he does that, because if he implements a verify, um, we all know then he's serious.
- 22:59But he won't do it yet because anyway, because the pushback from employers would be too tough.
- 23:04He already back backed off on farm work that's saying, Oh, we're not gonna go after farm workers because we need people to pick our lettuces, right?
- 23:12Now, Americans would do that.
- 23:13You just have to pay them decent wages.
- 23:15And you can have a Brusero program, you can have legal as they used to do.
- 23:20People from Mexico, Guatemala would come here on six month visas.
- 23:24Um, earn money and go back.
- 23:28Do it for year after year.
- 23:29That used to be a uh a common practice.
- 23:32We don't need the illegal immigration.
- 23:34But the point is it was democratic socialists of America that gave us effectively 40 million illegals in the country.
- 23:44So they gave us the Great Society, which wrecked us, basically wrecked America.
- 23:50They they um gave us Obamacare, which is destroying our health care system, and they gave us illegal immigration.
- 23:58This one little group.
- 24:01One little group did all of that damage to America and is still doing massive damage.
- 24:07Green New Deal.
- 24:09It's another DSA program.
- 24:12What is that all about?
- 24:13Replacing electricity and nuclear um hydroelectric with green energy.
- 24:20So, you know, it's all natural.
- 24:21No, it's not.
- 24:22It's about destroying the energy sector, which will wreck the U.S.
- 24:26economy, which will wreck the U.S.
- 24:28military budget, which will render us vulnerable to attack from Russia and China.
- 24:33That's what the Green New Deal is for, people.
- 24:37It's to destroy America.
- 24:39These people are communists, they're against us, they're enemies.
- 24:44So just call a break here, and I'll be back straight after this with more on democratic socialists of America.

- 31:06I've been talking about democratic socialists America.
- 31:09I'm actually writing a book on them right now to be available early next year.
- 31:14Please watch out for it.
- 31:16It'll spin your wheels, it'll blow your mind.
- 31:20Because nobody knows what these guys are.
- 31:23Everybody deeply misunderstands and mis uh underestimates them.
- 31:29Nobody is talking about their they just say, oh, they're communists, they're communists.
- 31:34But nobody gives the evidence.
- 31:36You know, nobody actually talks about why they're communists, how we know they're communists, and how we know they're revolutionaries.
- 31:44Well, so just getting back to to DSA, the history.
- 31:54I don't quite know why, but they the whole Los Angeles chapter, which basically ran LA, you know, Karen Bass was part of that movement.
- 32:04Uh Antonia Villa Grossa was on the fringes of it.
- 32:08They had they basically ran LA through the early 90s, and they had a lot of big names on Hollywood on their side.
- 32:15They had Ed Astner was a big donor to them.
- 32:19Um, you know, they had a lot of a lot of uh, you know, Lisbon Montgomery of Bewitched was a supporter.
- 32:27Um Jackson Brown, the singer was also on their on their donors list.
- 32:33You had a whole bunch of actors and Hollywood personalities who would give them money.
- 32:40Stanley Scheinbaum, who are a good friend of the Clintons, was a uh hardcore DSA member, married into the Warner brothers family.
- 32:49So he was a very rich Marxist.
- 32:52So they always had this this pool of rich Marxists who would subsidize their organization.
- 32:59But anyway, this for some reason in the early 90s after the collapse of communism, they went into a bit of a free fall.
- 33:06And by the early 2000s, they were struggling.
- 33:09You know, they still had strong chapters in Chicago and Boston and New York.
- 33:14But mostly around the country, they'd collapsed and they would have a big conference and they'd get 200 members, you know, big national conference, maybe get 200 members, you know, a meeting of the New York chapter, you get 20 people coming along, etc.
- 33:30A lot of paper members.
- 33:31A lot of people joined DSA on paper, but never really did much.
- 33:35I think you know, when they had about 12,000 members, you probably would have said 3,000 were active.
- 33:41You're real real hardcore active.
- 33:43Right now they claim 90,000 members, but I would say there's probably about 15 to 20,000 that actually do stuff.
- 33:51The rest are just on paper, might go to the odd meeting or turn up for a May Day rally or something.
- 33:57They're not like the Communist Party where everybody has to work all the time.
- 34:02DSA, it's much more of a come and do it, do what you want type of affair, which is has its advantages and its disadvantages.
- 34:11It's easier to get members, but you don't get as much work out of most of your members.
- 34:16But still, so really DSA is probably actively really about 20,000 hardcore members, but that's enough.
- 34:24That's four or five times what they would have had in the early 80s, and look at all the damage they did to America then.
- 34:32You know, but Lenin took over Russia with 2,000 Bolsheviks, a country of 140 million people at the time.
- 34:39You don't need big numbers to have a big impact, especially if you control the unions, and especially if you control large chunks of the Democratic Party and a whole bunch of churches.
- 34:48You can get your policies promoted.
- 34:52So well, they were sort of moribond, you know, early 2000s.
- 34:58They limped along and they still had a good relationship with Obama.
- 35:03They were they were promoting his career.
- 35:05They helped him get elected to the U.S.
- 35:07Senate and they they they piled into his presidential campaign.
- 35:12They also helped Jesse Jackson's campaign back in the 80s as well.
- 35:16That was mainly a Maoist.
- 35:18His two presidential runs were mainly Maoist operations, but DSA helped.
- 35:23They were in there.
- 35:24So by the early 2000s, they were limping along.
- 35:28And by about 2010, 2013, they'd get 120 members to their national convention.
- 35:35And they were they were pretty sad, you know.
- 35:38They still had influence more than you would expect, but they weren't really a dynamic organization anymore.
- 35:45They're really the shell of what they had been.
- 35:48But then came Bernie, right?
- 35:512015.
- 35:52Bernie announced he was running for president.
- 35:54Now, Bernie Sanders always claims he's not a DSA member, but he's been listed as a DSA member several times in their publications.
- 36:02He has worked with them for years.
- 36:04He was in the young people's socialist league before that, hung around with the Socialist Party, hung around with communists.
- 36:11He is a communist.
- 36:12He's been to Cuba and Nicaragua, honeymooned in the Soviet Union during communist times.
- 36:18Bernie is a communist.
- 36:20Sue me, Bernie, if you don't believe me.
- 36:23And um, but Bernie decided to run for president, and this just set a spark under what was left of DSA.
- 36:31They went from 6,000 members.
- 36:34They they because they were associated with Bernie, people started to pay attention to them.
- 36:39And they get 6 or 8,000 members, you know, 10,000 members, and every month they'd put in their website, their Facebook page, 12,000, 14,000, 16, 18,000 members.
- 36:53And they got up in a couple of years to they were pushing a hundred thousand members, which is as many as the Communist Party had at its height.
- 37:05But as I said, the Communist Party people were mainly hardcore cadre.
- 37:10A lot of DSAs are just pansy socialists.
- 37:14They're just socialists on paper, but not really in action.
- 37:18But still they were growing, growing like topsy.
- 37:21And you know, and Bernie lost, you know, the Democrats cheated out of his victory, luckily for America.
- 37:30And um, you know, Joe Biden um won, well, Hillary Clinton won, got the nomination.
- 37:38And um then in 2020, he ran again, and and uh he was pushing and pushing, and he he should have got the nomination, but the Democrats uh knew that he would blow them up.
- 37:53He knew that, you know, although they were as communist as he was mostly.
- 37:58They knew he was too obviously communist, and so they sabotaged him and they put Joe Biden, Kamala Harrison in the spot.
- 38:06And that was the sort of peak for DSA at that point.
- 38:10A lot of them got pretty disgruntled after that, and then came COVID.
- 38:14Well, in 2020, we got COVID.
- 38:17Um, well, no, no, I'm getting it wrong, getting it wrong.
- 38:20So Bernie, you know, it was Hiller, Bernie got screwed out of the job, and it was Hillary versus Trump.
- 38:27Trump wins, and DSA explodes again.
- 38:31And they went through the roof and they're pushing a hundred, they drop back a bit, they pushed up to a nearly a hundred thousand members, and then came COVID.
- 38:39And COVID hurt most political organizations because you couldn't meet, and because they're so politically correct, you know, they they were just so, you know, they still wear masks today.
- 38:51You know, they still you're still articles in DSA magazines about the virtues of wearing masks.
- 38:58They're such responsible socialist citizens, right?
- 39:02They they keep those masks on.
- 39:04And so they during COVID, they really suffered, and they probably dropped back to, I don't know, 40,000, 50,000 members.
- 39:12They lost a lot of people.
- 39:13They were they publicly said it was about 70,000, but I think it got down way lower than that.
- 39:19And so they were suffering again.
- 39:22And um, they were pretty dispirited and and uh, you know, Trump was in the White House, but then Trump runs again in 2024, and they start to build up again in reactions.
- 39:36Trump and they got fired up, and then Trump won, and they've built up even further.
- 39:43Now they are put officially at 91,000 members right now, aiming for a hundred, hundred thousand, they're trying to get it by the new year, and they could do it too, hundred thousand members, because they are they are going to go full on.
- 40:00In their next election.
- 40:01They've already got about, I think there's about 12 DSA members standing for Congress this election cycle, this coming election cycle so far.
- 40:10Some of them are completely unwinnable seats, but several of them are viable candidates.
- 40:16Right now they've got two members, two current members of Congress, AOC and Rashida Tlaibe.
- 40:22Corey Bush is trying to come back.
- 40:24Oh no, Greg Casar is another one.
- 40:26Three.
- 40:27Summer Lee is a former member.
- 40:29Jan Chaikowski is supposedly a former member.
- 40:32Danny Davis is supposedly a former member, but I don't know how former they are.
- 40:37But they could they would be aiming to have at least 10 current members by the by the end of the next election cycle, plus obviously Mandami, plus they've got several members of the New York City Council, the Portland Maine City Council, the Atlanta Georgia City Council, Chicago, they got heaps on there.
- 41:00Milwaukee, Detroit, Twin Cities, Minnesota, Minneapolis.
- 41:07They've got about four or five on the Minneapolis City Council, four or five on the Los Angeles City Council, four on the Portland, Oregon City Council.
- 41:17I think they've got people on the Seattle City Council, plus Kansas, plus Albuquerque, plus St.
- 41:27Louis, Missouri, plus I'm just trying to think, you know.
- 41:34Smaller cities like Ann Arbor, a few on the Denver City Council, whole bunch in the in the Colorado State Legislature, whole bunch in the New York State Legislature, a couple in the Georgia, Atlanta, Georgia State Legislature.
- 41:50They are gaining ground.
- 41:52Austin, Texas, too.
- 41:54They've got them on the Austin City Council on the tech in the Texas State Legislature.
- 42:00They've got their friend Lloyd Doggett in Congress down there.
- 42:03They've got Greg Casa.
- 42:05They've got uh Jasmine Crockett, who's very close to them.
- 42:09And so they are gaining ground.
- 42:13They are working the electoral fronts.
- 42:17Plus, they're pushing the odd Green Party candidate and independent.
- 42:23They've got a lot of people on county commissions, nonpartisan races, school boards, county commissions all over the country.
- 42:32They're thickened in New York, thick in Illinois.
- 42:36They're an Iowa.
- 42:38They've got them pretty much everywhere.
- 42:40They've got active branches now.
- 42:42They went they went up to all 50 states for a while.
- 42:46Then they lost, then they lost Alaska and a couple of others.
- 42:52They lost Hawaii for a while, but they've recovered that.
- 42:55There's about three or four states they don't have an official viable chapter.
- 43:00But virtually everywhere else, they've got heaps.
- 43:02They've got about 10 chapters in Florida.
- 43:05They've got um about 16 or 17 in California, five or six in New York, uh, three or four in Atlanta in Georgia, three and in Arizona, um, you know, several in Minnesota, several in Illinois, all the blue states have got tons and tons of chapters, and in the in the big cities of red states, they've got heaps of them as well.
- 43:34Plus, they have young democratic socialists of America, probably a couple of hundred chapters around the world, around the country and high schools and uh high schools and universities and technical colleges all over the country.
- 43:47So they're there, they have a presence.
- 43:49They're growing, they're expanding.
- 43:51But why do I say they are communists?
- 43:54Because, okay, they're just democratic socialists, who cares, you know.
- 43:58They're just like Swedes.
- 44:00No, we could do with a little bit of Sweden in the Midwest, right?
- 44:04Well, no, it's not quite that simple because Democratic Socialist America is has cross membership.
- 44:12They are virtually every other communist party in America has members in dual members inside DSA.
- 44:21They just elected Hannah Schwetz, for instance, to the Albany City Council in upstate New York.
- 44:27She is both a DSA member and a communist party USA member.
- 44:32They um they have members of Liberation Road, most of them are also DSA members.
- 44:38It's a pro-Chinese Communist Party.
- 44:40The Freedom Road Socialist Organization has several leading members inside DSA.
- 44:46They are also a pro-Chinese Communist Party.
- 44:49DSA is a is is establishing um links with communist China right now.
- 44:55They have um tons of Trotskyists in DSA, they have lots of Communist Party USA, Committee for Correspondence and Democracy, League of Revolutionaries for a New America, Socialist Party USA.
- 45:09Um virtually every communist party in America also has some of their members, sometimes all of them inside DSA.
- 45:19So DSA is a big tent now.
- 45:22It's all these factions, it's got Maoist factions, Trotskyist factions, communist factions, um, pro-Cuban factions, pro-Chinese factions, pro-Venezuelan factions, and and uh Trotskyists, Maoists, Stalinists, you name it.
- 45:39Every single strand of the American communist movement are in there.
- 45:44They also have a communist caucus, and one of their co-chairs is a member of that.
- 45:49Uh Megan Roma from um Louisiana is a member of the Communist Caucus.
- 45:55They have several communist caucus members on there on the national executive, plus they have a merge and groundwork, which are also communist caucuses, and they have a whole bunch of people in key positions as well.
- 46:10So it's a big tent, it's a lot of factions.
- 46:13It's all it's an alliance, it's a coalition, it's not really a party like the Republicans or the Democrats.
- 46:19It's a grouping of a whole bunch of parties under one umbrella.
- 46:25DSA also has explicit ties to the Sao Paulo Forum.
- 46:30It's part of that.
- 46:31Um, the Sao Paulo Forum is it was set up in 1990 by Fidel Castro and Lula de Silva, the president of Brazil, who was put in place with DSA help, by the way.
- 46:44Um the AFL CIO and DSA helped get him into power.
- 46:50And he's the leader of communism in Latin America right now.
- 46:54And so they put together the Sao Paulo Forum, which is now a gathering of about 200 communist socialist and terrorist political parties.
- 47:02Um, and their aim is, according to Fidel Castro, to restore to communism in Latin America what had been lost in Eastern Europe.
- 47:12So they lost a lot of countries in eastern Europe and they set up the Sao Paulo Forum to bring it, to bring it to, you know, to to bring it to uh to to bring it to Latin America.
- 47:28And and that's from Argentina to Mexico.
- 47:32The president of Mexico, which is very close, who is close relations with DSA, her party, Marina is close to DSA and to the Liberation Road Communists.
- 47:44Um the Sao Paulo Forum is on our borders, and DSA is very, very, very close to them.
- 47:52DSA has direct ties to Cuba.
- 47:54They've sent several delegations to Cuba now and are regularly meeting with Cuban diplomats.
- 48:00Same with Venezuela.
- 48:01They have connections to Venezuela, as I said, establishing ties to Communist China, and are very, very close to the Party of European Socialists and the gathering of the European left, which is the gathering of European communist and socialist parties.
- 48:18So they um they work in all of that.
- 48:25They work in all of that.
- 48:28So it's it's they are communists.
- 48:31They they are they call for the redistribution of wealth, they call for the smashing of capitalism, they call for the complete takeover of the private sector.
- 48:40There's nothing they call for that isn't in the communist manifesto.
- 48:45And some of them will say, well, that's in the future.
- 48:48Others will say, we want it tomorrow.
- 48:50We are hardcore working for some will say, oh, we're still social democrats, which means a slow communist.
- 48:58But most, but DSA is a communist party now.
- 49:01I'll stand up in court and swear to that.
- 49:04They uh celebrate Marx's birthday all the time.
- 49:07As I said, they have communist members, communist caucuses, they promote communist policies, they are allied to the Communist Party USA, Liberation Road, Freedom Road Socialist Organization.
- 49:20They also got deep ties to the Islamic movement.
- 49:24Um, you know, they overlap a lot with care, for instance, the Council on American Islamic relations, lots of uh DSA members in there, like like Linda Sasuur, the famous uh Islamic radical.
- 49:38She is a DSA member.
- 49:40As I said, uh, you know, Rashida Tslay, uh Zoran Mandami, Ilan Omar is very close to DSA.
- 49:48I can't prove she's a member, but she might as well be.
- 49:51And um they work very closely with students for justice in Palestine and other explicitly communist.
- 50:00Groups, very explicitly communist groups.
- 50:04And so they are communists.
- 50:08They are working for socialist revolution.
- 50:11They're working to take over the Democratic Party.
- 50:13There's two schools of thought inside DSA.
- 50:17The minority faction wants to split with the Democrats and form an explicitly socialist party to contest for power.
- 50:24These are mainly Trotskyist lunatics.
- 50:26The more sensible DSA is believe they can take over by completely taking over the Democratic Party.
- 50:34They're going to take over the Democratic Party, become the dominant faction, and push communism on America through the Democrats.
- 50:41So they got two strategies, two competing strategies, two different facts, well, many different factions in DSA, but those that's where it broadly comes down to those who believe you can win through the Democratic Party and those who believe they must split from the Democratic Party and form a new party.
- 50:59But both are communists.
- 51:00It's just a uh a matter of tactics.
- 51:02And right now, especially since Zo ran Mandami's famous victory, that pro-Democratic Party faction is dominant.
- 51:13It is winning the argument right now.
- 51:16It's the biggest faction by far and is winning the argument.
- 51:20I think there'll probably be a split at some point in a lot of uh there have been many splits in DSA, you know.
- 51:26It's one thing you'll notice about them.
- 51:28They have a huge churn of numbers.
- 51:31I guarantee you that of the initial Bernie Bros, you know, the initial, you know, 80, 90,000 they got in that first burst.
- 51:39I'd say probably only 20% of them are still members.
- 51:44But what they've done is recruited a whole bunch more.
- 51:47Because it's so faction-ridden and it's so unmanageable and so hard to control, and their discipline isn't strict enough.
- 51:57They they are always getting factions, they're always getting breakaway people and people just get disgusted.
- 52:04But they've been having some good victories lately with Zoran and many council races and that, which is encouraged them and uh, you know, the No Kings rallies, which they're a big part of.
- 52:14So they're growing again.
- 52:16They are definitely growing, and they should get to their 100,000 members fairly so fairly soon, I think.
- 52:23And um, hopefully they don't, but you know, hopefully they implode again.
- 52:28But they are heading in a uh a good direction.
- 52:31If you want to know about DSA, go to my website, keywiki.org.
- 52:37Because I've got over 30,000 DSA members profiled in that thing.
- 52:42Probably more than that, actually, if you count by young democratic socialists, etc.
- 52:47So go there, look at your local Congress members.
- 52:50Go go, it's like Wikipedia.
- 52:52It's a big um website, over 180,000 files, 30,000 of them DSA is and you you go and look at look at them.
- 53:02You look at you, it's got a search box like Wikipedia in the top right-hand side.
- 53:06You type in Democratic Socialist America or Tampa Democratic Socialists of America or Communist Party USA, or your local state rep or your local congressman or you know, Bernie Sanders or Hillary Clinton or Joe Biden, and you type them in the pay, the page will come up, and it's all blue and red link.
- 53:28You know, blue links mean this there's a page on on this contact there, red link means we don't have a page yet.
- 53:36So you you if you want to know about DSA, go to the page Democratic Socialist America, and we list have lists of well over 200 branches around the country with the memberships and well as many as we can identify.
- 53:51So you can look at uh Omaha Democratic Socialist America, and you get a good number of Omaha DSAs.
- 53:59And you'll if you live in Omaha, you'll find these people running for city council, running for school board, running the local unions, running the local Democratic Party, chairing the local Democratic branch, etc.
- 54:10And you'll start to see how they're affecting your county.
- 54:14Same if you're Marin County, California or Hillsborough County, uh Florida, you just go to the Pinellas County uh DSA.
- 54:26You know, um if you're in a uh Hawaii, go to the Oahu DSA if you're in wherever you are in um you know Colorado, you go to the Mesa County if you're on the Western Slope, or if you're in Denver, go to Democratic Society.
- 54:43If you're in Colorado Springs, we have a branch, uh Fort Collins, they are very strong there.
- 54:50Very, very strong.
- 54:51They seem to run the city council and Fort Collins, and one of their members is uh was Speaker of the Colorado House, is a Democrat.
- 55:00So we have the information on them.
- 55:03I'll be putting out a book next year.
- 55:05Follow DSA, understand they're as communist as the Communist Party.
- 55:10They are not loyal to America, they're loyal to hostile foreign powers, they uh have their people and scientific laboratories and defense institutes.
- 55:20Um look, they one of their members, Kurt Stand was jailed for 17 years for spying for Russia and um Russia and the former East Germany.
- 55:32And then he uh then his wife, who also got prosecuted, uh, tried to then start spying for communist-controlled South Africa.
- 55:39So then he got out of jail and they let him back in.
- 55:42Now he's a leading member of the Washington, DC branch of a Maryland section of the Washington, DC.
- 55:49Um Prince George's County, I think it is, the Prince George's County DSA, Kurt Stand, a communist party member who turned DSA member, uh turned Soviet spy, his wife was working for the Department of Defense, stealing documents and passing them on to for hostile foreign communist powers.
- 56:12He got jailed, she got 21 years, he got 19, I think.
- 56:16He served 17.
- 56:17They let him out straight back into DSA.
- 56:20That's who they are, folks.
- 56:22They're communists and traitors.
- 56:24So I hope you found this interesting.
- 56:26I hope you'll do some further research.
- 56:28I hope you'll get my book when it comes out.
- 56:31I hope you'll uh peruse KeyWiki.
- 56:33I hope you'll stay on top of this.
- 56:35They are a major threat to the country and need to be exposed.
- 56:39So I want to thank you for listening.
- 56:40Uh come back next week, listen to Trevor Loud and Reports, signing out now.
- 56:45God bless, God bless America.
- 56:47Thank you all.
