- 0:16Speaker 1: Do you know why they call it show business?
- 0:18Speaker 5: I always wondered that.
- 0:24Speaker 6: Welcome back to artists on artists on artists on artists,
- 0:27Speaker 6: and we've got quite a roaring show for you.
- 0:31Speaker 1: Bow wow, roof, roof, meow meo. Those are some of
- 0:35Speaker 1: the sounds that these professionals deal with on the daily.
- 0:39Speaker 2: Animal wranglers are some of the most important people in
- 0:43Speaker 2: Hollywood when it comes to having animals on screen and
- 0:46Speaker 2: the tricks that they do create the magical movie moments
- 0:50Speaker 2: we all remember.
- 0:51Speaker 3: So listen up, pull out your notepad, and get ready
- 0:55Speaker 3: for the zoo. Let's listen in.
- 0:58Speaker 1: Hi hi, hi Hi. I'm Marilyn Jones and I am
- 1:04Speaker 1: a bird trainer for Tinseltown.
- 1:07Speaker 4: Hella Lovelace. My name is Ian Household. I do water creatures.
- 1:12Speaker 5: Hey y'all, I'm Patty cut that cut t, and I
- 1:18Speaker 5: do mostly farm animals out of my farm. In North California.
- 1:23Speaker 6: Hello, my name is Nigel Eclair, and I focus primarily
- 1:32Speaker 6: on snakes.
- 1:34Speaker 3: Hey, y'all, it's me Marissa. I'm dogs. This is a
- 1:38Speaker 3: nice studio. I'm not used to being the one on
- 1:42Speaker 3: Mike here.
- 1:43Speaker 5: I feel the same Marissa. I'm used to the farm,
- 1:46Speaker 5: you know. So this is what it was really fun
- 1:48Speaker 5: getting all gussied up and hanging out with y'all today.
- 1:51Speaker 5: So and and good to be, like you said, with
- 1:53Speaker 5: like minded people. I cannot wait to pick your brains
- 1:56Speaker 5: because I deal with cows EMUs. Yeah, an email or two.
- 2:02Speaker 5: But dogs, WHOA? What must that be like?
- 2:06Speaker 4: Oh?
- 2:06Speaker 7: I mean I think it's the uh, the most old
- 2:10Speaker 7: fashioned version of our business.
- 2:11Speaker 3: I'd say dogs have been in movies since the beginning.
- 2:14Speaker 4: Right right?
- 2:15Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, so I'd have to say it's been I've
- 2:19Speaker 7: been working for fifty years.
- 2:23Speaker 3: I'm seventy one.
- 2:26Speaker 4: Congratulations.
- 2:27Speaker 3: What about you, Nijel?
- 2:30Speaker 6: Hello, Yes, I've been working with snakes now for about
- 2:36Speaker 6: thirty years. I've started right out of college, found a
- 2:43Speaker 6: couple snakes and said what if I put these in movies?
- 2:50Speaker 6: And now with all the franchises, it's quite a lucrative business.
- 2:56Speaker 6: Per se.
- 2:59Speaker 5: Wow, I don't mean to speak out of turn y'all,
- 3:01Speaker 5: but when he talks, I get so sleepy. Nigel, I
- 3:04Speaker 5: get so tired.
- 3:05Speaker 2: It's so crazy, it really crazy. It makes me feel
- 3:08Speaker 2: like he's probably really good at miking. Animals go right
- 3:11Speaker 2: to sleep, which is really hot to do.
- 3:14Speaker 3: I bet you're right.
- 3:15Speaker 1: I bet you're ride does and Nigel, I will say,
- 3:18Speaker 1: some of my birds are right outside and they are chirping.
- 3:21Speaker 1: They're simply loving your voice.
- 3:23Speaker 6: Well, thank you all. I will take all of these
- 3:27Speaker 6: as compliments.
- 3:28Speaker 7: I also say, in Patty's defense, I'm not used to
- 3:31Speaker 7: sitting down for more than a couple of minutes at
- 3:33Speaker 7: a time.
- 3:34Speaker 5: Okay, Marissa, Yeah, you know it's true. Yeah, how many?
- 3:38Speaker 5: I got a question, Marissa. We have our little girl's
- 3:41Speaker 5: corner over here. Question for you, honey, how many dogs
- 3:45Speaker 5: have you had on Alicia once? Because I'm ficturing you
- 3:47Speaker 5: on set, I don't know about y'all, but with I
- 3:50Speaker 5: don't know fifteen.
- 3:51Speaker 7: Oh sure, Well that was me in the old days
- 3:53Speaker 7: when I would do non union work. And that's what
- 3:55Speaker 7: I'll say is our business is different when we're in
- 3:59Speaker 7: the union. And I'll say this is a privileged group
- 4:02Speaker 7: of people who get to be protected, because it's all
- 4:05Speaker 7: about protection in our business.
- 4:08Speaker 2: Yeah, you know what, that's a really important thing for
- 4:10Speaker 2: me to talk about protection. I will say that all
- 4:12Speaker 2: my animals are union eligible currently, but.
- 4:15Speaker 4: They are not. They are not in the union. They
- 4:17Speaker 4: are all eligible. A little couple of sales that are eligible.
- 4:20Speaker 4: Gott a couple one kill a while that's eligible as well.
- 4:24Speaker 5: Well, well, it's expensive, I understand.
- 4:26Speaker 2: Well, you know, once they book a little bit more,
- 4:29Speaker 2: we can maybly get him in the union. But they
- 4:30Speaker 2: are not technically booking enough because once you know, you
- 4:33Speaker 2: get those dues, it is really expensive and just quite frankly,
- 4:37Speaker 2: a lot of my animals that underwater wonders, a lot
- 4:40Speaker 2: of them are not They are not currently making enough
- 4:43Speaker 2: money to sustain in union membership.
- 4:45Speaker 1: Well, it is so and I will say it is
- 4:48Speaker 1: so worth it because you know, all of my birds
- 4:51Speaker 1: in the Birds Actors Union, they are so covered. The
- 4:55Speaker 1: bag health insurance is so good.
- 4:58Speaker 3: Do you ever have hearty a sh arc or something?
- 5:00Speaker 3: Is that how it works?
- 5:02Speaker 2: That is a really crazy question. Yes, so there is
- 5:04Speaker 2: a it's not quite a shock, but there was. There
- 5:08Speaker 2: was actually a clownfish that was feaching in a movie
- 5:13Speaker 2: called The mag and I booked love that.
- 5:16Speaker 4: Do you remember they make?
- 5:18Speaker 5: Yeah, of course I love that.
- 5:19Speaker 4: The Meg with Jyson scythem. I'll try and him too.
- 5:22Speaker 4: I was just kidding, but I was just kidding.
- 5:28Speaker 7: Yeah, an answer your question, Patty. I only do one
- 5:33Speaker 7: dog at a time now, but back in my twenties
- 5:35Speaker 7: I was I would.
- 5:36Speaker 3: I would say thirty five.
- 5:39Speaker 5: Wow. Well, I you know, while we were talking about
- 5:42Speaker 5: the the uh you know, the water creatures and all,
- 5:47Speaker 5: I was wondering, do you know how to swim? You know?
- 5:52Speaker 4: I have landed on the job. I have.
- 5:54Speaker 2: Certainly the first few years were really difficult for me
- 5:57Speaker 2: because when you're shutting at an animal and underwater, they
- 6:01Speaker 2: can't hear you.
- 6:02Speaker 4: That is a little thing that I figured out.
- 6:04Speaker 7: Oh okay, I wouldn't even know how to shout underwater.
- 6:08Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, well I used to use those big they
- 6:11Speaker 2: call them voo zalas from from South Africa. In those
- 6:15Speaker 2: in those call vovo zalas. They're a long tunnel of.
- 6:21Speaker 5: Zala okay, like okay, like the flower.
- 6:25Speaker 2: No, it's like a long plastic tunnel that just shout
- 6:27Speaker 2: noises into.
- 6:31Speaker 1: And do you find that the animals are responsive?
- 6:34Speaker 4: To that.
- 6:35Speaker 2: Yeah, generally, you know, there's only so many things any
- 6:37Speaker 2: underwater Christian can do swim, stop, and breathe. So usually
- 6:43Speaker 2: if I need to do one of those things, they're
- 6:45Speaker 2: usually going to If I needed to do one of
- 6:50Speaker 2: those things, they're usually going to eventually do.
- 6:52Speaker 4: It's all I'm gonna say.
- 6:53Speaker 1: It's true. The ratio of the things that animals can
- 6:56Speaker 1: do is typically pretty good because you have a several
- 7:00Speaker 1: handfuls of things that they want to do already. I mean,
- 7:02Speaker 1: I would imagine those dogs they simply like to roll
- 7:06Speaker 1: over and sit and walk. Is that the case?
- 7:08Speaker 6: Sure?
- 7:09Speaker 7: But I'll say not to just throw a right back
- 7:12Speaker 7: at you, But Marilyn, I just have been I've always
- 7:15Speaker 7: wanted to talk to you because you're the only one
- 7:18Speaker 7: I know that works with animals and you can get
- 7:21Speaker 7: them to say things right.
- 7:22Speaker 3: You can you deal with dialogue sometimes, right.
- 7:25Speaker 1: It's true. I like to say that my animals are
- 7:28Speaker 1: the only ones who have lines, because it's the truth.
- 7:32Speaker 1: I would say that it's.
- 7:34Speaker 5: Very I have a lot of respect for you. To Marylyn,
- 7:37Speaker 5: I'm trying not to be weird about it, to be
- 7:39Speaker 5: you're one of over here with Marissa, But I am
- 7:42Speaker 5: absolutely starstrick. I mean I can't even think of all
- 7:46Speaker 5: those I mean, guys, come on, all the iconic lines.
- 7:48Speaker 4: That are absolutely.
- 7:51Speaker 5: It's pretty pretty wild. I mean the one, the one
- 7:54Speaker 5: in the one in taxi, the taxi and along game Polly, Oh.
- 7:59Speaker 1: My, yes they do. I will say my birds because
- 8:03Speaker 1: I'm a bit of an introvert. My birds sort of
- 8:05Speaker 1: talk for me. You know how sometimes in a couple
- 8:09Speaker 1: there's a talker and there's a listener. I'd say I'm
- 8:12Speaker 1: the listener, and my forty five birds they're the talkers,
- 8:16Speaker 1: and we do really well at dinner parties.
- 8:22Speaker 4: I have a weird question for all.
- 8:24Speaker 2: I look a lot to ask people questions when I'm
- 8:27Speaker 2: with other wranglers, questions that maybe other people couldn't answer.
- 8:31Speaker 2: What's the most difficult thing you've ever had to train
- 8:34Speaker 2: an animal to do?
- 8:36Speaker 5: Oh?
- 8:36Speaker 1: Lord, oh gosh, I'm sure a lot goes down on
- 8:40Speaker 1: the farm over there.
- 8:41Speaker 5: Well, I mean there's something that that I don't feel
- 8:45Speaker 5: good about. But one time I had to train a
- 8:48Speaker 5: cow to milk another cow?
- 8:52Speaker 4: Is that right?
- 8:54Speaker 5: Yeah? Mortally?
- 8:55Speaker 3: How does that work?
- 8:56Speaker 5: Well?
- 8:57Speaker 6: Yes, mortally, how does that work? More?
- 9:00Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 9:00Speaker 1: Nigel, you seem interested in doing that.
- 9:03Speaker 4: I thought Nigea was asleep.
- 9:05Speaker 6: I was sorry, ye, and we're not used to sitting
- 9:10Speaker 6: down as people anyway.
- 9:11Speaker 5: Now, yeah, well, Nigel and Marissa and everyone. To answer
- 9:17Speaker 5: the question, it was, I'll be it was. It was
- 9:21Speaker 5: young young in my career.
- 9:23Speaker 3: I was young.
- 9:24Speaker 5: I was trying to get that credit and it was
- 9:26Speaker 5: for a local farm commercial. The owner was a bit
- 9:32Speaker 5: of a he's a bit out of his head. And
- 9:34Speaker 5: I found out that later the footage was used in
- 9:38Speaker 5: maybe some kind of personal way. I'm not quite sure
- 9:41Speaker 5: what it.
- 9:41Speaker 6: Was for, but that personal way.
- 9:44Speaker 5: Well, you know, a girl doesn't like to assume, but
- 9:49Speaker 5: I would guess maybe for.
- 9:53Speaker 1: For jacking off purposes projacking it.
- 9:57Speaker 5: Oh Donking, Oh, bless me, bless my heart, bless my soul.
- 10:03Speaker 1: Sometimes when I'm talking, I get a little naughty me too.
- 10:08Speaker 7: I mean, my job is constantly getting these fuckers off
- 10:11Speaker 7: each other.
- 10:12Speaker 1: But I understand I've I too, have fallen vulnerable to
- 10:16Speaker 1: you know, being a young person in the industry. I
- 10:19Speaker 1: was approached for a student film where I had to
- 10:22Speaker 1: get one of my macaws to spit up into Owen
- 10:25Speaker 1: Wilson's mouth. Now, morally, we don't like to do that
- 10:28Speaker 1: because it tricks the birds into thinking that the actor
- 10:31Speaker 1: is its child. And so that bird walked around thinking
- 10:35Speaker 1: that Owen Wilson was its daughter. And I'd never do
- 10:39Speaker 1: that now, Yeah, I never do it now.
- 10:41Speaker 5: I feel you on that. Guys. You know, we've all
- 10:44Speaker 5: we've had our highs and we've had our lows, but
- 10:46Speaker 5: it's you know, we're there for the animal, and so
- 10:49Speaker 5: it's hard sometimes when we have these stories where our
- 10:52Speaker 5: animals are just put in the line of fire. You know,
- 10:54Speaker 5: I don't even want to go there, to be honest,
- 10:57Speaker 5: I don't want to go there. Oh no, I don't want.
- 11:01Speaker 8: To go there.
- 11:01Speaker 6: In nineteen ninety two, I was on a movie set
- 11:07Speaker 6: and the director asked for one of my anaconda's to
- 11:12Speaker 6: swallow the actor who plays Han Solo Hole and then
- 11:19Speaker 6: spit him out.
- 11:21Speaker 1: Is that Harrison Ford?
- 11:22Speaker 4: Who?
- 11:24Speaker 1: Harrison Ford? The person?
- 11:26Speaker 6: So I had to get to one of my anaconda's
- 11:30Speaker 6: to do this, and it was really a tough, tough situation.
- 11:40Speaker 5: I'm so sorry. Does anyone have some extra coffee because
- 11:43Speaker 5: I just keep getting so sleepy every.
- 11:45Speaker 4: Time caffeine peels. I give him my seals. Do you
- 11:47Speaker 4: want something?
- 11:48Speaker 8: Oh?
- 11:48Speaker 5: That would be actually wonderful.
- 11:50Speaker 4: Okay, oh, this is fun.
- 11:53Speaker 5: I'm like one of your.
- 11:54Speaker 8: Little fit Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, hey, yea, well I
- 12:04Speaker 8: did pretty good.
- 12:05Speaker 4: Call me seal stars. You're getting a fish to.
- 12:09Speaker 1: The tables certainly have turned, haven't they. Normally we're the
- 12:13Speaker 1: ones putting the food in the mouth, but now it's
- 12:15Speaker 1: the other way around.
- 12:17Speaker 4: Yeah, Marilyn, you are really good at sciting. I'll say the.
- 12:21Speaker 3: Hardest thing for me.
- 12:22Speaker 7: What I do specifically, I want to be clear, is
- 12:26Speaker 7: I because there's tons of dog animal handlers in the business.
- 12:32Speaker 3: What I do is specifically, I get dogs to run.
- 12:38Speaker 7: I can get him to move real fast for lots
- 12:41Speaker 7: of yogurt commercials.
- 12:46Speaker 5: That was your dog, that was That was Jamie Lake
- 12:49Speaker 5: Hurtis in the Activita.
- 12:50Speaker 3: Yeah, and he's just going in that field.
- 12:54Speaker 5: As animal wrangler to animal wrangler. I saw that. You know,
- 12:57Speaker 5: sometimes you're like, leave the leave the work alone.
- 13:00Speaker 3: It's not now.
- 13:01Speaker 5: I said, that dog was moving and grooving. And whoever
- 13:04Speaker 5: was an animal wrangler on that knows what she's doing.
- 13:07Speaker 3: Oh, thank you, thank you.
- 13:08Speaker 4: Patty.
- 13:09Speaker 7: I'll say, I'm telling you you don't know a lot.
- 13:13Speaker 7: You don't notice it all the time, but when you
- 13:15Speaker 7: got a dog having to sprint across camera, that takes
- 13:19Speaker 7: a specific type of animal wrangling.
- 13:23Speaker 1: And now you said that you do running, your dogs
- 13:27Speaker 1: do running? Do they sit and stay as well? Or
- 13:29Speaker 1: do they call someone else for that?
- 13:31Speaker 3: They call other people for that.
- 13:32Speaker 7: I am strictly like it's like a stunt guy, but
- 13:36Speaker 7: for running dogs. So the hardest thing that's ever happened
- 13:40Speaker 7: to me is that one of my dogs was taking
- 13:41Speaker 7: a shit as he was running and I had to
- 13:45Speaker 7: pick up the pace because when you're because I worked
- 13:48Speaker 7: really well with the DP, it's me and the DP
- 13:50Speaker 7: craft in this shot, and it's figuring out this run
- 13:53Speaker 7: in this tempo and the dolly and the move and
- 13:56Speaker 7: all of that. And when they got a little something
- 14:00Speaker 7: going on like this one dog of mine, Patty popone,
- 14:04Speaker 7: she was she was trying to take a shit and
- 14:07Speaker 7: she kept running and I had to pull her ass
- 14:09Speaker 7: out of there.
- 14:11Speaker 3: So that was a hard thing I've already not do.
- 14:13Speaker 4: I'll say the most difficult thing for me.
- 14:15Speaker 2: I was in an Alphons or Quirron film and he
- 14:19Speaker 2: asked if I could make a stingray cry on cue. No,
- 14:24Speaker 2: it was really hard because stingrays in general do not cry,
- 14:28Speaker 2: not because they can't, but because they won't. There's a
- 14:31Speaker 2: cultural thing in stingrays where they you know, crying is
- 14:34Speaker 2: a sign of weakness for him.
- 14:35Speaker 5: So who told you that that track?
- 14:37Speaker 4: I told I've seen it with my own eyes.
- 14:40Speaker 3: But how would you know.
- 14:41Speaker 2: I've spent a lot of time underwater. So I first
- 14:45Speaker 2: learned all about animals and learning about water creatures. I
- 14:50Speaker 2: first learned because my father was.
- 14:54Speaker 4: He ran a coral reef. He was the was, He
- 14:59Speaker 4: was a private coral reef. He was an owner.
- 15:01Speaker 6: You're the Great Barrier. You're, of course, you're the Great Barrier, Barrier,
- 15:06Speaker 6: the Great Barriers, Great Barrier Junior.
- 15:09Speaker 4: Yes, my father was David Great Barrier, the.
- 15:12Speaker 3: Only human to run a coral reef.
- 15:14Speaker 4: He was the owner of the coral reef.
- 15:15Speaker 2: It was a private reef, and we used to go
- 15:18Speaker 2: down there all the time, all the time, and we.
- 15:20Speaker 4: Used to watch all the animals.
- 15:22Speaker 2: And I used to watch the sting rays go around
- 15:24Speaker 2: each other, and they used to pop up the chest
- 15:27Speaker 2: and they saw them cry, and then one of them
- 15:29Speaker 2: would cry, and all of them would run away, and
- 15:31Speaker 2: and they talked to some of the eels, and the
- 15:33Speaker 2: eels would come and eat the sting ray.
- 15:34Speaker 4: It's a really scary thing.
- 15:36Speaker 7: Wow, So you do really know it. For a while
- 15:38Speaker 7: I thought you were just making shit up. But that
- 15:40Speaker 7: sounds like you really don't know.
- 15:41Speaker 2: This is all stuff I've learned over years and years
- 15:43Speaker 2: and years of professional work.
- 15:46Speaker 5: I got it. I got kind of a non secretary question.
- 15:48Speaker 5: But were you just a big old perdl when you
- 15:50Speaker 5: watch Octopus Teacher?
- 15:52Speaker 3: Were you just?
- 15:56Speaker 2: I was an absolute rick and I'll tell you what
- 16:01Speaker 2: I call the rando se i I could get into
- 16:02Speaker 2: work with me.
- 16:04Speaker 4: Turns out he is. He's freelance and he doesn't need
- 16:07Speaker 4: any help. I was an absolute record. I did try
- 16:10Speaker 4: to recruit him, and people said do not.
- 16:14Speaker 6: The year was nineteen ninety seven. Christ I was on
- 16:19Speaker 6: the set of a movie called Shanghai Nights. One of
- 16:24Speaker 6: the actors, though, the one who speaks Chinese, fell into
- 16:30Speaker 6: a pit and there was a snake down there, and
- 16:37Speaker 6: I told him to swatch out. So my question is,
- 16:44Speaker 6: does anybody else deal with pits? Any other animals going
- 16:49Speaker 6: with pits? I am I the only type of person
- 16:54Speaker 6: that has to deal with a hundred of my own
- 16:56Speaker 6: animals in one type of hole, a pit.
- 17:00Speaker 1: On I think one of my birds just fell asleep,
- 17:03Speaker 1: and if they sleep for too long, they die. Hold on,
- 17:11Speaker 1: I'm so sorry about that.
- 17:13Speaker 5: It's amazing to see a woman just juggling it all.
- 17:15Speaker 4: Who else brought animals? By the way, did anyone else
- 17:18Speaker 4: bring animals to this recording?
- 17:20Speaker 5: Well? I did ride my horse here. I rode it
- 17:23Speaker 5: all the way from Northern California.
- 17:25Speaker 3: To Culver City.
- 17:26Speaker 5: To Culver City. Yeah, and let me tell you, Oh,
- 17:29Speaker 5: it's hard to find a hotel that will let me
- 17:32Speaker 5: have my dog. Well, trap on in a hotel of
- 17:34Speaker 5: late to have a horse.
- 17:37Speaker 7: I hear that all of us have had some crazy
- 17:42Speaker 7: travel experience.
- 17:43Speaker 4: With the n Yeah, I'll put a bluga oil in
- 17:46Speaker 4: a bathtub.
- 17:49Speaker 1: I took a wonderful road trip with several parrots and
- 17:54Speaker 1: they sort of fluttered around in the back of my
- 17:56Speaker 1: sedan and I would stop to pull over to get
- 17:59Speaker 1: for gas, and I'd lose one of them at every
- 18:02Speaker 1: gas station. I laughed so hard because I'd come and
- 18:06Speaker 1: I showed up to San Francisco with only three birds,
- 18:09Speaker 1: and they said they're supposed to be ten, and I said,
- 18:11Speaker 1: I know, but I had to fill up my car.
- 18:16Speaker 2: This I heard about this because I writt an article
- 18:18Speaker 2: about this. There was an article in a newspaper in
- 18:21Speaker 2: Temecula about a bunch of birds that you kept screaming
- 18:25Speaker 2: your name and phone number.
- 18:27Speaker 3: I did read this in a newspaper into me.
- 18:29Speaker 5: That's rights an.
- 18:30Speaker 4: Amazing way to keep check your animals. Make them say
- 18:33Speaker 4: your contact information.
- 18:34Speaker 1: They're very well trained. And I will say all of
- 18:37Speaker 1: those birds were returned to me because they simply are
- 18:40Speaker 1: trained to repeat the phone number until.
- 18:42Speaker 3: They get where they have to go.
- 18:45Speaker 1: They're very repetitive. I will say, you know, earlier we
- 18:48Speaker 1: were talking about difficult experiences. I once sent some of
- 18:53Speaker 1: my birds to a prison for a little outreach program,
- 18:56Speaker 1: and they spent some time with the prisoners there.
- 18:58Speaker 4: And what.
- 19:01Speaker 3: It was the outreach for the birds of the prisoners.
- 19:05Speaker 1: I like to think a little of both.
- 19:07Speaker 4: What was it set out to be?
- 19:13Speaker 1: Artypically, so, the idea is you send a few birds
- 19:18Speaker 1: to a few convicted murderers, and eventually one of them
- 19:22Speaker 1: saves the other. Ideally it's the murderer, but sometimes the
- 19:27Speaker 1: bird learns a few things. And I will say, a
- 19:30Speaker 1: couple of my birds learned the phrase kill, bitch, kill,
- 19:34Speaker 1: and then and then they had to go work on
- 19:37Speaker 1: a Disney film Moments, and they could not remember their lines.
- 19:42Speaker 1: They could not remember Pollywanna Cracker. All they wanted to
- 19:45Speaker 1: say was kill, bitch, kill, And I lost that job.
- 19:50Speaker 4: Sounds like the dark side of speaking animals.
- 19:53Speaker 1: It is like the dark side of speaking animals.
- 20:00Speaker 4: Kill.
- 20:00Speaker 7: I wanted to get a jiuaa to Atlanta and I
- 20:04Speaker 7: couldn't get a flight in time. This is what I
- 20:07Speaker 7: was working on Union and I mean and it was
- 20:10Speaker 7: a running job. The chiua had to run tampon commercial
- 20:15Speaker 7: so I just had the chiuaa run with me.
- 20:17Speaker 5: It was Atlanta.
- 20:18Speaker 3: We did it on foot, so.
- 20:20Speaker 1: You ran as well alongside the dog.
- 20:22Speaker 5: Yeah, oh my goodness, that's impressive. You know, we go
- 20:26Speaker 5: through a lot of what our animals go through. If
- 20:28Speaker 5: they're sad on set, we are sad. If we're happy,
- 20:31Speaker 5: they're happy. It's a very intuitive kind of relationship.
- 20:34Speaker 3: And for sure we take lunch at the same time.
- 20:36Speaker 5: I think, you know, sometimes I eat the same things.
- 20:39Speaker 5: I actually don't do dairy. I actually sometimes I eat
- 20:44Speaker 5: the grass. I try to understand what it feels like
- 20:46Speaker 5: for them, and back to the traveling. I did try
- 20:49Speaker 5: to sneak a chicken and my carry on, and she
- 20:54Speaker 5: did what she was supposed to do. She laid about
- 20:56Speaker 5: fifteen eggs flight to Phoenix. When I opened it up,
- 21:00Speaker 5: there were just eggs galore. And she did not make it.
- 21:04Speaker 5: She didn't make it.
- 21:05Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, I'm so sorry. Yeah, I'm so sorry.
- 21:08Speaker 6: Two thousand and four. Oh, I was working at a
- 21:14Speaker 6: movie and three people were bitten by a coastal typeon
- 21:22Speaker 6: and passed away.
- 21:25Speaker 1: I think my heart stopped beating for a moment. Nigel,
- 21:32Speaker 1: would you like some coffee?
- 21:34Speaker 6: I would?
- 21:36Speaker 1: Okay, can we get Nigel some coffee? Thank you?
- 21:43Speaker 6: I was delivered to me by a peacock.
- 21:46Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 21:47Speaker 1: That peacock is trained to get coffee. The others are
- 21:50Speaker 1: trained to get tea. I like you, Nigel, Nigel, stop, Nigel.
- 22:04Speaker 3: Nichel stup.
- 22:08Speaker 5: Oh no, birds, birds, birds.
- 22:17Speaker 1: I'm so sorry, Nigel. That almost never happens. I'd like
- 22:22Speaker 1: to ask a question from the fish bowl. Let's see
- 22:24Speaker 1: what's in here.
- 22:25Speaker 2: I actually prefer if you call it a glass bowl,
- 22:28Speaker 2: because fish bowl is a little bit of a defensive
- 22:31Speaker 2: term for me.
- 22:33Speaker 5: Oh is it. I'm learning a lot about I want
- 22:36Speaker 5: to know you know. What I mean is that I
- 22:39Speaker 5: want to know how I can be better for you
- 22:42Speaker 5: guys in whatever world that you're in, you know, like yeah,
- 22:48Speaker 5: like I don't know how you guys feel, but I'm
- 22:51Speaker 5: I really I get really upset when I see animals
- 22:53Speaker 5: that are cgad and things because I just think, well, what,
- 22:57Speaker 5: you know, where's where's our industry going? Where our job going?
- 23:01Speaker 7: I think you're bringing up a topic that we should
- 23:03Speaker 7: talk about, and that is the Lion King, and we're
- 23:05Speaker 7: all snubbed.
- 23:06Speaker 4: Absolutely, and let's just talk about it.
- 23:09Speaker 1: Let's talk about it.
- 23:10Speaker 4: Let's have a conversation, Let's have a dialog.
- 23:12Speaker 7: Because I had a couple of reporters come to my
- 23:14Speaker 7: house and say that they Hollywood had isolated and none
- 23:18Speaker 7: of us were speaking on the record. And I think
- 23:20Speaker 7: that was just due to all of ourt we were
- 23:22Speaker 7: all going through something.
- 23:24Speaker 1: Now, not too divert a little bit, but are there
- 23:27Speaker 1: would there ever be a dog in the Lion King?
- 23:31Speaker 7: Good point, But I'll say, but I guess you never know, right,
- 23:36Speaker 7: you never know. Well, I hate to break NDA's but
- 23:41Speaker 7: a lot of animals who they can't get to run fast,
- 23:45Speaker 7: they get a dog and they dress it up.
- 23:48Speaker 3: I'll beg for Lion King.
- 23:50Speaker 7: I think we get hired for to have one of
- 23:53Speaker 7: my Aussies dressed up like a like a like a hyena.
- 23:58Speaker 1: Right, of course it.
- 24:00Speaker 2: Wasn't is cut and dry. You know, they didn't tell
- 24:02Speaker 2: everyone was gonna be cgi. I had a trout that
- 24:05Speaker 2: was on a veil for three months and it was
- 24:08Speaker 2: really hard for the trout. You know, he's waiting around
- 24:10Speaker 2: for the answer three months in and out.
- 24:13Speaker 3: You know, it's almost like you're an agent to them
- 24:18Speaker 3: at some points.
- 24:19Speaker 2: Sometimes, you know, we share each other's successes and failures.
- 24:23Speaker 2: It's really difficult, and you are kind of bookers for
- 24:26Speaker 2: the for the job. You know, you're gotta you're gotta
- 24:28Speaker 2: represent them because they're doing the work. Now.
- 24:31Speaker 1: I would imagine there are no fish agents, so you
- 24:35Speaker 1: seem like sort of a one man band of sorts.
- 24:37Speaker 4: If I don't do it, nobody will nobody.
- 24:41Speaker 7: Yeah, I work hands on with the agents because these dogs,
- 24:44Speaker 7: these fucking bitches, they all have representation.
- 24:47Speaker 2: Because the union, right, they're all you know, all mine
- 24:50Speaker 2: are obviously eligible, but they cannot they cannot get representation
- 24:56Speaker 2: without being union.
- 24:58Speaker 4: And then you know, what are we gonna do? They're
- 25:00Speaker 4: just not ready.
- 25:01Speaker 1: That's really tough. I have heard green?
- 25:18Speaker 4: Did you hear that dark?
- 25:22Speaker 6: The coffee is working? It's so cold. Is anybody here
- 25:28Speaker 6: else shedding skin?
- 25:31Speaker 3: No, it's probably because you're sitting down for too long.
- 25:34Speaker 3: Dannibil will move around.
- 25:36Speaker 6: Okay, run across the room.
- 25:38Speaker 4: Run, run freak run what it's not running?
- 25:44Speaker 6: Mind trying, I'm trying.
- 25:46Speaker 1: You are rising your arms and legs at all.
- 25:50Speaker 5: Oh, dear Nigel, what is going on? Oh my god?
- 25:58Speaker 1: Did you cut that little of it into your tongue?
- 26:01Speaker 4: Yes?
- 26:02Speaker 6: Yes, it was a procedure I had done in two
- 26:07Speaker 6: thousand and seven on this on the set of Snakes
- 26:10Speaker 6: on a plane. Very stressful time for me. One thousand
- 26:16Speaker 6: and ten snakes I had to take care of, and
- 26:20Speaker 6: I walked away with one thy and twelve. No idea
- 26:25Speaker 6: where the other two came from.
- 26:27Speaker 3: Well, I'll say, Nigel, I did it was It was
- 26:30Speaker 3: beautiful work.
- 26:32Speaker 6: Beautiful work, that Nogel.
- 26:33Speaker 5: I'm sorry. I just looked in the trash. Can I
- 26:35Speaker 5: see a bunch of rappers for the baby feet? Have
- 26:38Speaker 5: you ladies ever used that? It's where your your feet,
- 26:41Speaker 5: you know, they make the baby soft, it makes you
- 26:43Speaker 5: shed your skin. But there's about one hundred rappers in
- 26:46Speaker 5: the trash. Yeah, I can't help, but wonder did you
- 26:49Speaker 5: use these? Nigel? Did you use these? Because you are
- 26:52Speaker 5: peeling like you're peeling like an onion at my grandmama's barbecue.
- 26:56Speaker 5: You know what I mean?
- 26:59Speaker 6: Yes, yes, I did. I did use them. It's time
- 27:06Speaker 6: for me getting closer to becoming the dream.
- 27:13Speaker 5: Okay, Nigel, you don't look well.
- 27:15Speaker 4: Marilyn. You had a question, didn't you? A little earlier
- 27:18Speaker 4: you had a little question you were going to ask
- 27:20Speaker 4: I did.
- 27:21Speaker 1: I pulled it out of the glass bowl.
- 27:23Speaker 4: Thank you for learning, and thank you for showing growth.
- 27:26Speaker 4: Thank you for educating me, of course anytime.
- 27:30Speaker 1: So I pulled this question out of the glass bowl.
- 27:32Speaker 1: And I think it's very interesting. What was your favorite
- 27:36Speaker 1: animal you've ever worked with?
- 27:38Speaker 9: Oh?
- 27:39Speaker 4: This is a hard one, isn't it.
- 27:40Speaker 5: This is always a hard one.
- 27:44Speaker 1: Was really tough.
- 27:45Speaker 9: Oh my god, my god, Mike, I will say there
- 27:51Speaker 9: was a little dove that I used to work with
- 27:55Speaker 9: named Cheeky, and Cheeky was the best in the business,
- 27:59Speaker 9: a real professional.
- 28:01Speaker 1: She would fly out of the hat when she was
- 28:03Speaker 1: supposed to. She would be released, she would come back
- 28:06Speaker 1: when she was supposed to. But of course, as animal trainers,
- 28:09Speaker 1: you don't own the animal. And her owner was a
- 28:12Speaker 1: gentleman named Rick Wright. And one day Rick Wright decided
- 28:16Speaker 1: I'd like to become an amateur magician, and so he
- 28:19Speaker 1: took Cheeky away from me, and he went to Vegas
- 28:22Speaker 1: showed up to open mic magician competitions to work with Cheeky,
- 28:28Speaker 1: and Cheeky was no longer in the business. And it
- 28:30Speaker 1: broke my heart because she was such a sweety little bird.
- 28:34Speaker 1: She was such a sweety little bird.
- 28:38Speaker 5: It's there there.
- 28:40Speaker 1: I'm so sorry.
- 28:41Speaker 5: Don't be sorry. We all get it. We all get it.
- 28:44Speaker 3: I apologize, I know.
- 28:47Speaker 1: But tell me about all your favorite animals.
- 28:50Speaker 5: Well, I had this pot belly pig. He really taught
- 28:55Speaker 5: me everything it means to be a woman.
- 29:01Speaker 4: It's absolutely beautiful. What was the billy's pig's name?
- 29:07Speaker 5: Gary? And yeah, Gary. Just when Gary walked in the room,
- 29:14Speaker 5: she really took control of the room. And Gary could
- 29:19Speaker 5: be around fifteen male pigs, but she really held her own,
- 29:25Speaker 5: you know.
- 29:26Speaker 3: Yeah, you moved like a pop belly pig too.
- 29:29Speaker 1: Oh thank you, I could tell thank you so much,
- 29:34Speaker 1: lead by example for you.
- 29:36Speaker 2: Oh, thank you your nose too, It's just what you're
- 29:39Speaker 2: talking about I do.
- 29:41Speaker 5: And you know, I don't know if you y'all believe this,
- 29:43Speaker 5: but sometimes the ones that leave us, they leave us
- 29:46Speaker 5: little signs throughout life, right, guys. And so I tell you,
- 29:50Speaker 5: every time I go to a restaurant to look on
- 29:51Speaker 5: the mini they have bacon, I go Gary, she's staying
- 29:55Speaker 5: hi to you.
- 29:56Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 29:56Speaker 4: A lot of times.
- 29:57Speaker 2: It's a very cool and breakfast item.
- 30:01Speaker 1: Well, just shows how much Gary was there.
- 30:03Speaker 3: Yes, thank you morning.
- 30:06Speaker 5: I'd love to hear everyone else. Everyone else is absolutely
- 30:11Speaker 5: it's okay. He's under the table.
- 30:14Speaker 4: Oh my god, I thought it was yeah, under your
- 30:17Speaker 4: feet and that's a little.
- 30:19Speaker 5: Something on my feet?
- 30:22Speaker 4: What I think?
- 30:25Speaker 1: Nigel slipped me a note. Let me just.
- 30:29Speaker 6: It just says, do you like my notes?
- 30:36Speaker 1: Let's talk about other people's answers.
- 30:40Speaker 2: I had a river order that challenged me every single day.
- 30:43Speaker 2: What a river order? Order and order? A river order
- 30:47Speaker 2: and or aura and order, you know those little little
- 30:52Speaker 2: rat kind of things in order, real order. God, order
- 30:58Speaker 2: really challenged me every single day.
- 31:00Speaker 5: Oh those are the ones there, rare.
- 31:01Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 31:01Speaker 2: Her name was Veronica Venezuela, and she was absolutely gorgeous.
- 31:06Speaker 2: She was so pretty and we had a really tumultuous relationship,
- 31:12Speaker 2: and the only way I could get it to do
- 31:13Speaker 2: things is if I humiliated myself in front of everyone else.
- 31:17Speaker 2: It was a really disgusting why I had to strip naked,
- 31:22Speaker 2: I had to sing songs by female artists, really really embarrassing, humiliating.
- 31:29Speaker 5: Oh, Veronica sounds very demanding.
- 31:32Speaker 2: She was a real challenge, but she was absolutely the
- 31:36Speaker 2: most talented order that I've ever worked with. She's actually
- 31:40Speaker 2: the only animal I've ever trained that has gone union.
- 31:44Speaker 4: Since then, I haven't seen her, but I do know
- 31:46Speaker 4: she is on Riverdale.
- 31:49Speaker 5: Oh no, it's that one. What she's doing on Riverdale?
- 31:53Speaker 4: What a background work right now? But I think she's
- 31:55Speaker 4: hoping to I think she opened her work her way up.
- 31:58Speaker 3: It's season four. They're at the Aquarium Diner.
- 32:01Speaker 2: Absolutely, yeah, the Aquarium Dinna, and she is in the background.
- 32:05Speaker 2: And I do believe she had a line or a movement.
- 32:08Speaker 2: You know, as we know the animals are, they don't
- 32:11Speaker 2: necessarily have lines, but all of their movements are technically lines.
- 32:15Speaker 4: So she had a lot of movements.
- 32:17Speaker 1: Well speak for yourself.
- 32:23Speaker 7: Well, I had a great day named Princess Diana, and
- 32:26Speaker 7: she ran so fucking fast.
- 32:30Speaker 3: Let me tell you something she had.
- 32:33Speaker 5: I got a question about that, just real quick. So
- 32:36Speaker 5: was this? When was this dog?
- 32:39Speaker 3: Was this? She was named after the living Diana.
- 32:43Speaker 5: Okay, yeah, got it.
- 32:44Speaker 1: So at the time that Princess Diana was alive, Princess
- 32:48Speaker 1: Diana the dog was also alive. Yeah that's beautiful.
- 32:52Speaker 7: And you want to hear some fucking crazy shit. They
- 32:55Speaker 7: died on the same fucking day. Oh my no, no, yeah,
- 33:01Speaker 7: but I'll tell you I love that dog more than
- 33:04Speaker 7: my fucking family. She ran so fast, and uh, all
- 33:11Speaker 7: I have to say is we loved each other a lot.
- 33:13Speaker 3: And one day she ran and I couldn't catch her,
- 33:16Speaker 3: and she was gone.
- 33:17Speaker 5: Oh I'm so so sorry, so hard.
- 33:21Speaker 3: And it was one of those teamsters.
- 33:23Speaker 5: Oh, the hittricking teamsters.
- 33:26Speaker 3: A motherfucking teamster.
- 33:27Speaker 4: Hit it with a car.
- 33:29Speaker 3: Hit it with a car.
- 33:30Speaker 5: They're going way too fast out there, guys, when they're
- 33:33Speaker 5: on set. There's people running around, there's people in These.
- 33:37Speaker 7: Non union teamsters might as well call them the devil
- 33:39Speaker 7: on your back.
- 33:44Speaker 2: Absolutely, the amount of teamsters that have tried to wash
- 33:47Speaker 2: their diddy socks in my pools.
- 33:49Speaker 4: Where the animals are absolutely disgusting. They're the devils on
- 33:53Speaker 4: my back.
- 33:54Speaker 6: I had to snake cold ne GUINEI.
- 34:00Speaker 1: It was seen a movie from the Harry Potter movie.
- 34:03Speaker 6: I think that's what that was called. It was a
- 34:07Speaker 6: great snake and I loved it. And unfortunately in the
- 34:13Speaker 6: scene where the one child chops the head off of
- 34:17Speaker 6: the snake, they shot it for real.
- 34:22Speaker 5: And I'm sorry, is there any chance you could sit
- 34:25Speaker 5: back up at the table, Nogule, You're kind of all
- 34:28Speaker 5: curled up there.
- 34:29Speaker 6: Right out there. Okay, I like it down here.
- 34:35Speaker 3: It's just crazy to get us all in one room.
- 34:37Speaker 3: We all have such weird.
- 34:39Speaker 2: Social behaviors, absolute freaks.
- 34:45Speaker 7: Absolutely did everybody here, because that's the thing that.
- 34:52Speaker 5: They haven't made a number breaking number.
- 34:57Speaker 7: And that's the thing in Hollywood is that these animal wranglers,
- 35:00Speaker 7: we fucked so hard you can't catch us.
- 35:02Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 35:02Speaker 5: I didn't know if we were gonna say it out loud,
- 35:04Speaker 5: but I mean, I have seen you guys at the parties.
- 35:07Speaker 5: I just haven't seen you in this way where we
- 35:10Speaker 5: actually talk about our work.
- 35:12Speaker 1: That is such a stereotype because you know, and it's
- 35:15Speaker 1: a stereotype. That is a stereotype for a reason, because
- 35:18Speaker 1: it is true when we all meet each other at
- 35:20Speaker 1: the Animal Wrangler Hollywood Orgies. We talk about all this stuff,
- 35:23Speaker 1: but we never talk about it so cleanly. And I'm
- 35:26Speaker 1: really applauding all of us for restraining ourselves today.
- 35:29Speaker 4: I am absolutely so horny right now.
- 35:33Speaker 1: The river in my panties right now, I know my
- 35:38Speaker 1: nipples could cut glass. Well, let's table this for a moment,
- 35:42Speaker 1: because I do still think we have about fifteen to
- 35:44Speaker 1: twenty minutes left. Would anyone like to pull a question
- 35:48Speaker 1: from the fish bowl? Oh the glass bowl?
- 35:52Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 35:52Speaker 2: I wasn't gonna I wasn't gonna correct you again. I
- 35:54Speaker 2: was just gonna hold it against you for the rest
- 35:56Speaker 2: of your life. So I want to thank you for
- 35:59Speaker 2: doing that. I will question this is a really great one.
- 36:02Speaker 2: What do your family? What does your family think of
- 36:08Speaker 2: your job as an animal wrangler and how it has
- 36:10Speaker 2: been an animal wrangler affected your relationship with your family.
- 36:15Speaker 10: I'll say, my family doesn't buy it, and it's awfully
- 36:21Speaker 10: I don't mean to get to vulnerable here, but it's
- 36:23Speaker 10: awfully humiliating to have a family that thinks you can't
- 36:27Speaker 10: make a living off of just dogs.
- 36:29Speaker 3: Running on camera. They just don't buy it.
- 36:34Speaker 4: They call bullshit.
- 36:35Speaker 3: Every day come home from work. They think it's fake.
- 36:40Speaker 1: But they've seen your house, right, I mean they've seen
- 36:43Speaker 1: they've seen your Malibu mansion.
- 36:46Speaker 4: Yeah, and I make.
- 36:47Speaker 7: A lot of money, but they think I'm doing other things.
- 36:52Speaker 3: They think I'm a liar.
- 36:54Speaker 5: I'm so sorry, sweetheart.
- 36:57Speaker 1: That is so tragic.
- 36:58Speaker 5: You know what, Yeah, yead, I had it bad because
- 37:01Speaker 5: I'm a Bush daughter and I'm not one of the
- 37:03Speaker 5: fire and daughters the Bush.
- 37:06Speaker 1: A Bush daughter i am.
- 37:08Speaker 5: I'm a daughter of George W. Bush Laura Bush. Yes,
- 37:13Speaker 5: i am.
- 37:15Speaker 3: No way, I.
- 37:16Speaker 5: Know, did they that's my dirty little secret. I'm a
- 37:20Speaker 5: Bush daughter.
- 37:22Speaker 9: Ugh.
- 37:22Speaker 4: Your sister is Jenna Bush Haigateth, Yes.
- 37:26Speaker 5: That's the one. Yes.
- 37:30Speaker 1: Wow? And what did they prefer that you be with
- 37:33Speaker 1: your life?
- 37:35Speaker 5: I mean they really wanted me to get into politics,
- 37:38Speaker 5: and I said, I have absolutely no experience. I wouldn't
- 37:42Speaker 5: know what I'm doing. And they said, well, you know,
- 37:44Speaker 5: that'll be fine. We could figure something out. And I thought, well,
- 37:48Speaker 5: I'm not really qualified to do that though. And then
- 37:51Speaker 5: that's when I was on our farm and I met
- 37:55Speaker 5: the pop belly pig Gary and that kind of changed
- 38:00Speaker 5: horse for me. So, you know, my my dad has
- 38:03Speaker 5: done a painting or two some of my some of
- 38:06Speaker 5: my farm animals. And that's kind of all I can
- 38:08Speaker 5: ask for right now. You know, that's that's where we're
- 38:10Speaker 5: at today. As I say, you know, that's where we're
- 38:13Speaker 5: at today. We're in a somewhat of a good place.
- 38:17Speaker 5: And you know what, I don't know. I hope does
- 38:21Speaker 5: anyone have a happy story. I mean, Marissa and I
- 38:24Speaker 5: went first over here like a like a couple of
- 38:26Speaker 5: but sob stories.
- 38:27Speaker 7: But it's an easy business to be neglected from your family.
- 38:31Speaker 1: For no I will say I was sort of a
- 38:33Speaker 1: cupboard child. I was locked in a cupboard for many years.
- 38:37Speaker 1: But I did have a friend in there I had.
- 38:39Speaker 5: Is that why you're so tiny?
- 38:41Speaker 1: I'm very small. You are very tiny, very small.
- 38:45Speaker 2: You're going to be like three foot eight of three
- 38:47Speaker 2: foot know, and I'm been trying to alleyball it all
- 38:48Speaker 2: the day.
- 38:49Speaker 1: I am I have don't don't short sell me. I
- 38:52Speaker 1: am three foot ten and a half.
- 38:55Speaker 5: But you're also very small. You know how people say
- 38:58Speaker 5: she's made of bird bine. Anybody that phraser that country think, well,
- 39:02Speaker 5: I've actually it looks kind of like you're made of
- 39:04Speaker 5: bird bones. You are very time.
- 39:07Speaker 1: Well, listen, they didn't approve of me, and so they
- 39:09Speaker 1: locked me in the cupboard and I wasn't there. I
- 39:12Speaker 1: was their little secret, you know. But in a way
- 39:14Speaker 1: the bird raised me because the bird had its little bones.
- 39:17Speaker 1: And I think, you know, the body listens to the mind,
- 39:19Speaker 1: and I think my body started to listen to the
- 39:21Speaker 1: bird body. And I will say, sometimes I do spit
- 39:24Speaker 1: up bile.
- 39:25Speaker 5: Oh, that's definitely true. I've been lactating ever since I started,
- 39:29Speaker 5: you know, using my cows. And do you really can
- 39:32Speaker 5: you explain that, No, I'm not pregnant. I'm having a baby.
- 39:35Speaker 5: I hear you. Your animals kind of work through your
- 39:37Speaker 5: own body set.
- 39:38Speaker 4: Absolutely.
- 39:39Speaker 2: I have a thick lay of mucus all of my
- 39:41Speaker 2: body all the time, I thought, so you can see
- 39:44Speaker 2: it in the light.
- 39:45Speaker 4: And these fluorescents are really bad at showing that.
- 39:47Speaker 2: I want to say about my family, we actually are
- 39:50Speaker 2: a happy story, you know, me and my husband and
- 39:54Speaker 2: my daughter. We all run underwater winders together. My daughter
- 39:57Speaker 2: gil is absolutely gorgeous and she loves training the little salamanders.
- 40:03Speaker 2: We're having a working on salamander's right now.
- 40:05Speaker 5: Oh, hi cute. I love that business.
- 40:10Speaker 3: You guys own the reef.
- 40:11Speaker 2: Now we own the reef. We we It was in
- 40:13Speaker 2: doowt to us by my father when he passed away.
- 40:17Speaker 2: Oh sure, Lord rest his soul. And it's a real shame.
- 40:21Speaker 2: And the you know, the Australian government said hey, we'd
- 40:25Speaker 2: love to have that reef, and I said, yeah, so
- 40:27Speaker 2: what a fucking eye And I kept it.
- 40:29Speaker 5: Good for you, so good for you family, Your name's everything.
- 40:33Speaker 1: What are you going to do with the reef?
- 40:35Speaker 4: I'm thinking of making it some sort of water pack
- 40:38Speaker 4: where you can kind of run around in it. You know.
- 40:41Speaker 2: I think the biggest problem with the reef is that
- 40:43Speaker 2: you can't stand in it right now. So we're going
- 40:45Speaker 2: to put a lot of standing ground so you can
- 40:47Speaker 2: kind of stand around and see the animals. Because what
- 40:50Speaker 2: I love is getting closer to him.
- 40:52Speaker 4: You know.
- 40:52Speaker 2: I think everyone if they had an eye to eye
- 40:55Speaker 2: with a dolphin, they would change the way they live
- 40:59Speaker 2: their lives.
- 40:59Speaker 4: That's kind of what I say.
- 41:00Speaker 2: You know, we've all had probably an experience with an
- 41:03Speaker 2: animal that said, oh this is this is the way
- 41:05Speaker 2: to live my life.
- 41:06Speaker 1: Right So you're raising awareness about the Great Barrier Reef
- 41:09Speaker 1: being destroyed by a sort of essentially destroying it.
- 41:12Speaker 2: Absolutely was, and get close to it, take a look
- 41:15Speaker 2: at it. See what you're doing to the earth.
- 41:17Speaker 3: Well, Nigel, you have a family.
- 41:21Speaker 6: At one point, yes, I was thrown into a pit
- 41:25Speaker 6: of snakes by the age of two mm. I looked
- 41:31Speaker 6: into the face of a black adder, a black on
- 41:35Speaker 6: a black add a dd R, and it looked at
- 41:42Speaker 6: me and I said mother, and it said yes.
- 41:50Speaker 5: Okay, guys, is getting a little freaky, y'all. It's getting
- 41:52Speaker 5: a little freaky, y'all.
- 41:53Speaker 4: I've got a question for Nigel. When's there. What's the
- 41:55Speaker 4: happiest you've ever been?
- 41:57Speaker 3: That's a good one, that's great.
- 41:59Speaker 6: I went to Lego Land last summer. That was very nice.
- 42:04Speaker 6: Can't you go with just me and my pet anaconda.
- 42:09Speaker 6: His name was Dmitric. He We put him in a
- 42:14Speaker 6: big coat and he kind of propped himself up for
- 42:18Speaker 6: most of the time there, so we got away with it.
- 42:23Speaker 1: I'm really happy that that happened for you.
- 42:27Speaker 6: Thank you, thank you, oh, thank you.
- 42:32Speaker 7: All right, I'm gonna take a question from the glass bowl.
- 42:34Speaker 7: Here it says, what's next?
- 42:39Speaker 4: What do you mean?
- 42:42Speaker 3: What's next? For everybody in our career?
- 42:45Speaker 4: Terrifying Leake's essential question there.
- 42:47Speaker 5: I mean, I think what's immediately next is I'm looking
- 42:50Speaker 5: forward to go into that party later with y'all and
- 42:54Speaker 5: just getting railed by Nigel. And then after that, I
- 43:00Speaker 5: do have a segment coming up with Sesame Street. I
- 43:06Speaker 5: finally was able to secure Sesame Street. So they're going
- 43:09Speaker 5: to be doing a little little something with my horses,
- 43:12Speaker 5: a little something with my cows. So I'm pretty excited
- 43:15Speaker 5: about that.
- 43:15Speaker 1: Congratulations, thank you, thank you so much. Well, I do
- 43:21Speaker 1: have a little movie coming up called The Bird Who
- 43:25Speaker 1: Taught Me Christmas, and I actually do have that bird
- 43:29Speaker 1: with me. He's a lovely bird named Flower Flower. Won't
- 43:33Speaker 1: you come in?
- 43:34Speaker 8: Flower?
- 43:34Speaker 1: Won't you come in?
- 43:35Speaker 4: Flower?
- 43:37Speaker 1: Wow? Get in here now? Flower? Why don't you come
- 43:41Speaker 1: close to the mic and rehearse the line from the
- 43:44Speaker 1: movie that we talked about fire Fers. No.
- 43:47Speaker 5: Well, oh my god, Marilyn, you are a legend.
- 43:53Speaker 3: That was incredible.
- 43:54Speaker 1: You were flat, You were flat. Don't you ever do
- 43:58Speaker 1: that again?
- 43:58Speaker 5: This is a master at work, y'all.
- 44:02Speaker 1: I'd like to apologize for her. She's so embarrassing. I'm
- 44:05Speaker 1: I'm humiliated. But what's next for everyone else?
- 44:09Speaker 2: I'm doing a movie with Jonathan Lipnikki called Turtle Baby
- 44:14Speaker 2: really exciting. I had actually a hand in writing the screenplay,
- 44:17Speaker 2: and I would like to say it's one of the
- 44:19Speaker 2: funniest movies I've ever read.
- 44:23Speaker 6: I find myself at a crossroads, ever turning, ever changing.
- 44:32Speaker 6: When the wind blows my skin, it ow, when the
- 44:38Speaker 6: night comes, I feel alive? Why and again? Why and again? Why?
- 44:49Speaker 4: Nige just making it a great craze to start this
- 44:52Speaker 4: orgy of right now.
- 44:53Speaker 1: I was about to say, what are we doing? What
- 44:55Speaker 1: are we waiting for? What are we waiting for?
- 44:58Speaker 4: Here?
- 45:00Speaker 5: I'm I mean, you know I'm down for it. I
- 45:02Speaker 5: just gotta tap my horse.
- 45:04Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm already hard as a fucking rock.
- 45:08Speaker 5: Okay, Nigel, Whoa, whoa nagel.
- 45:12Speaker 1: As protocol, everybody, put the animals you brought with into
- 45:15Speaker 1: the animal corner.
- 45:16Speaker 4: And.
- 45:19Speaker 6: I'll drop all my snakes in the corner too, and.
- 45:22Speaker 1: I'll put my birds next to your snakes, heel chicks.
- 45:25Speaker 5: And my titties.
- 45:26Speaker 3: Kate Middleton, the Dalmation coming in.
- 45:29Speaker 8: It's it.
- 45:31Speaker 3: Good, Cake good.
