- 0:25Speaker 1: It is time to believe your worries outside and laugh with
- 0:29Speaker 1: us inside the tree bus. I'm Daniel Mallley, along with
- 0:33Speaker 1: Trey Trenholm and our very own Jerry Caldwell. On Monday,
- 0:40Speaker 1: January thirteenth, twenty twenty five. Look, I realized there are
- 0:50Speaker 1: a lot of really bad things going on right now.
- 0:55Speaker 1: You know, the winter storm just hit a good chunk
- 0:58Speaker 1: of the United States. Wildfires are going crazy in southern California.
- 1:07Speaker 2: But that's not all.
- 1:10Speaker 1: There's something else we have to be worried about. There's
- 1:14Speaker 1: a Cereal butt slapper in Denver. You know, just when
- 1:20Speaker 1: you think things can't get any worse, Cereal butt slapper
- 1:26Speaker 1: in Denver. Police are asking the public to help identify him.
- 1:33Speaker 1: A woman in the Denver suburb of Lakewood I've been there,
- 1:38Speaker 1: was out jogging on New Year's Day when he drove
- 1:40Speaker 1: up behind her on an e bike and slapped her butt.
- 1:46Speaker 1: I don't know why. That seems to make it worse.
- 1:50Speaker 1: The fact that he's on an electrical bike kind of
- 1:53Speaker 1: a thing.
- 1:53Speaker 2: That just seems to make it worse. The whole thing's bad.
- 1:58Speaker 1: If he's caught, he's going to face charges that may
- 2:00Speaker 1: include sexual assault, rightfully so, but still it's a funny headline.
- 2:04Speaker 1: Horrible thing, funny headline, but somehow it makes it more
- 2:08Speaker 1: insulting that he's on an electrical bike as supposed like
- 2:12Speaker 1: like if it's a Harley, Okay, that makes sense.
- 2:17Speaker 3: So give us your your vehicles that you would you
- 2:20Speaker 3: would deem it acceptable.
- 2:22Speaker 1: Oh it's all vehicles are unacceptable. There are just some
- 2:25Speaker 1: that make it worse.
- 2:27Speaker 3: Which which ones to make it better?
- 2:29Speaker 2: Like like a bicycle or Harley a skateboard?
- 2:34Speaker 1: Uh no, no, I no, I wouldn't think getting your
- 2:37Speaker 1: ass slab by somebody riding by on a skateboard would be.
- 2:42Speaker 2: Again, they're all bad.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Whatever mode of transportation someone uses to do a drive
- 2:46Speaker 1: by butt slap, they're all bad. I do think there
- 2:49Speaker 1: are degrees. There are varying degrees of worse, and I
- 2:54Speaker 1: do think getting drive by butt slap by someone on
- 2:59Speaker 1: an e bike is worse than if it happened from someone,
- 3:03Speaker 1: say on a hog on a on a Harley Davidson.
- 3:08Speaker 2: I don't know why. I don't know why. If I'm
- 3:12Speaker 2: going to be slapped on the butt by by a
- 3:14Speaker 2: passer by, I'd rather it be someone driving a manly
- 3:17Speaker 2: Harley Davidson than a than a hippie e bike. But
- 3:20Speaker 2: I've really kind of dug myself into a hole and
- 3:23Speaker 2: backed myself into a corner here, and it's written all
- 3:26Speaker 2: over Trey's face how happy he is about that. I
- 3:29Speaker 2: don't know what to do about it, but I still.
- 3:35Speaker 1: Feel that way despite my embarrassment, and I'm gonna, you
- 3:38Speaker 1: know what, I'm just gonna lean into it. Skateboard I
- 3:42Speaker 1: would not be happy with if someone was on roller
- 3:46Speaker 1: skates and rolled by and on the butt. I'm I'm
- 3:51Speaker 1: not sure where I fall on that one. If that
- 3:52Speaker 1: would be more complimentary or more a salty.
- 3:58Speaker 4: I would think something that was capable of going faster
- 4:00Speaker 4: would be more salty. You know, if you're on an
- 4:04Speaker 4: e biker going buying his smack, you know, or skates,
- 4:06Speaker 4: skateboard whatever, you're on a Harley, Yeah, I think everybode
- 4:11Speaker 4: that cooler.
- 4:12Speaker 2: It's like, you know, it's.
- 4:16Speaker 1: Like if you're gonna get if you're gonna get slapped
- 4:17Speaker 1: on the butt by somebody, It's like, would you rather
- 4:19Speaker 1: be by a Hell's Angel or by a thong wearing
- 4:23Speaker 1: neon clad individual in Malibu?
- 4:27Speaker 3: So? Is this is this some role playing deal? Like
- 4:32Speaker 3: where you know Tara dresses in leather before she pegs you.
- 4:35Speaker 2: Oh my god, get off the pegging. It never happened.
- 4:41Speaker 3: That's your job.
- 4:57Speaker 2: I've known you for twenty years and this is how
- 5:02Speaker 2: you're all right.
- 5:07Speaker 1: Put yourself in the shoes of a jogger, okay, and
- 5:10Speaker 1: you're jogging and you're minding your own business. You're exercising,
- 5:13Speaker 1: maybe listening to the treehouse while you run around town
- 5:15Speaker 1: and get your exercise in, get your steps in, and
- 5:18Speaker 1: then out of nowhere someone comes along on a vehicle
- 5:22Speaker 1: of some sort and smacks you on the ass. It's bad, right,
- 5:28Speaker 1: it's bad. But uh, would it somehow make it less
- 5:34Speaker 1: bad on a certain vehicle for you?
- 5:42Speaker 3: No? Uhhems. This seems to be you're you're you're laying
- 5:46Speaker 3: No no, no, no, no no.
- 5:48Speaker 2: There's no backing out of an answer to my question.
- 5:50Speaker 2: You have to answer it.
- 5:51Speaker 3: It's all bad, Dan, Jerry, what about you?
- 5:59Speaker 2: You don't.
- 6:00Speaker 4: I'm still stuck on the thing with the inertia. If
- 6:01Speaker 4: it's a vehicle that's going faster, more powerful, and you
- 6:05Speaker 4: get smacked somebody on a Harley going forty as opposed
- 6:08Speaker 4: to somebody riding by on a bike and say fifteen
- 6:10Speaker 4: miles an hour on skates. I would definitely say that
- 6:13Speaker 4: that Harley would be worse.
- 6:17Speaker 2: But it's all bad Dan.
- 6:19Speaker 3: Dan, our assless chaps involved in this scenario with you.
- 6:23Speaker 2: No, this is this is purely a hypothetically. Quit dressing
- 6:27Speaker 2: me up.
- 6:31Speaker 4: Sorry, Tray, I've done it a thousand times.
- 6:34Speaker 3: Dressed Anne up.
- 6:36Speaker 4: Yeah, I used to sit behind him all the time.
- 6:40Speaker 4: You never dressed me. Stop Stop making things.
- 6:42Speaker 3: Up with what went on in the office after I left.
- 6:49Speaker 2: A lot of things, Dray, most of which I can't
- 6:51Speaker 2: talk about.
- 6:55Speaker 5: You already a free house. This is online, free House
- 7:00Speaker 5: on air dot com.

- 7:24Speaker 1: If you like the Treehouse Show, then you will absolutely
- 7:27Speaker 1: love us on social media.
- 7:28Speaker 2: So give us a follow.
- 7:29Speaker 1: At Treehouse on Air, at Treehouse on Air, across all
- 7:33Speaker 1: the major social media platforms. That's at Treehouse on Air,
- 7:38Speaker 1: and that includes TikTok while it's still around.
- 7:40Speaker 2: Not sure how much longer that will actually last, but
- 7:43Speaker 2: we'll see. We're watching it.
- 7:44Speaker 1: We're keeping an eye on it, not from a journalistic
- 7:46Speaker 1: standpoint but mainly from a self promotional point of view.
- 7:49Speaker 1: So we'll let you know, but yes, I am Dan
- 7:53Speaker 1: along with Trey Jerry back inside the treehouse. Now real
- 7:56Speaker 1: quick on the TikTok thing tray, since you're a TikTok expert.
- 7:59Speaker 1: Last thing I saw was that TikTok announced that they're
- 8:02Speaker 1: planning on ceasing operations in the United States. On January nineteenth,
- 8:09Speaker 1: the Supreme Court was supposed to hear something, but not
- 8:12Speaker 1: sure if it was ever if it was actually going
- 8:15Speaker 1: to do that or kick it back and say now
- 8:17Speaker 1: we're not going to I know one of the guys
- 8:20Speaker 1: from Shark Tank said he was.
- 8:23Speaker 2: In talks to try to buy it with somebody else.
- 8:27Speaker 3: So Supreme Court did hear arguments on Friday, and Kevin
- 8:36Speaker 3: O'Leary Kevin o leary's actually been talking about buying TikTok
- 8:39Speaker 3: for a while, but he says he's got capital together
- 8:44Speaker 3: and so no one knows if TikTok is then you know,
- 8:48Speaker 3: this is a negotiating deal of him saying, fine, we're
- 8:51Speaker 3: gonna shut it or what's gonna happen. I'm I can't
- 8:55Speaker 3: imagine they're gonna just shut it down when but I
- 9:02Speaker 3: can't imagine they're going to really let this go through.
- 9:05Speaker 1: I'm with you, there seems to be too much money
- 9:07Speaker 1: involved for it to just go away entirely.
- 9:11Speaker 3: But then we have our twa Attorney General of Texas,
- 9:15Speaker 3: Ken Paxton, who also filed suit again TikTok on Friday
- 9:19Speaker 3: for exposing minors to pornographic or I forgot what the
- 9:26Speaker 3: word is of, you know content dude has that does it? No?
- 9:34Speaker 3: Nothing pornographic, There's always innuendo. Actually, TikTok uh is actually
- 9:40Speaker 3: stricter on that than probably Instagram.
- 9:43Speaker 2: But Ken Paxton sure does love to sue.
- 9:46Speaker 1: I think he's been one of the most active attorneys
- 9:49Speaker 1: general I've ever heard of.
- 9:50Speaker 3: Yeah, on both on as a as a plaintiff and
- 9:54Speaker 3: a defendant.
- 9:56Speaker 2: Really he really is. He really is the whole package,
- 9:59Speaker 2: isn't it.
- 9:59Speaker 3: Yeah, that's right. Is a legal jar nut.
- 10:05Speaker 2: Like a juggernut.
- 10:06Speaker 1: But yeah, so yeah, So I think that the deadline
- 10:10Speaker 1: on that is the nineteenth, and I'm curious to see
- 10:12Speaker 1: what happens there. But I did mention at the beginning
- 10:16Speaker 1: to show all the bad things that are happening right now.
- 10:19Speaker 1: The devastating wildfires have that have hit Los Angeles and
- 10:22Speaker 1: other parts of southern California, I've been watching this stuff,
- 10:26Speaker 1: you know, for the last close to a week now,
- 10:29Speaker 1: and I saw that this could end up being the
- 10:32Speaker 1: costliest natural disaster in United States history. Economic losses stemming
- 10:38Speaker 1: from the fires in southern California could be fifty billion dollars.
- 10:44Speaker 1: Insured losses from the event could exceed twenty billion dollars.
- 10:50Speaker 1: I mean, it's it's it's massive, it's awful, it's terrible, and.
- 10:57Speaker 3: But we're right now at a point in time though
- 11:00Speaker 3: pretty much ever disaster is the costliest one, just as
- 11:05Speaker 3: real estate and cost of goods keep going up, then
- 11:08Speaker 3: it makes everything the costliest. But the wildfire in California
- 11:12Speaker 3: is just devastating, I mean it.
- 11:14Speaker 1: And one of the reasons that it is is partly
- 11:18Speaker 1: because of the value of everything in that area. So
- 11:23Speaker 1: I don't want it to get lost on people that
- 11:26Speaker 1: A lot of the attention of the La wildfire is
- 11:28Speaker 1: on Hollywood, the celebrities homes and things like that. James
- 11:34Speaker 1: Woods lost his home, Mel Gibson has lost his home,
- 11:37Speaker 1: a number of others. Steve Gutenberg is on TV trying
- 11:40Speaker 1: to tell people to help to leave their keys in
- 11:42Speaker 1: the car so they can move them for the fire fighters.
- 11:44Speaker 2: Responding to fires. But there's also quote unquote regular people
- 11:51Speaker 2: that are affected by this. This is not all Hollywood stuff.
- 11:54Speaker 1: There are people in apartment homes and all these other
- 11:56Speaker 1: things that are also getting demolished, devastated and reduced to
- 12:01Speaker 1: literal ashes, and their lives are destroyed. So keep that
- 12:04Speaker 1: in mind whenever you're looking at the fires. Don't get,
- 12:06Speaker 1: you know, focused on one little aspect of it.
- 12:08Speaker 2: That's a huge story.
- 12:11Speaker 1: But part of the other thing that I've noticed about
- 12:13Speaker 1: this is when you have a massive story like this
- 12:15Speaker 1: on location, it's happening in an area, that means everyone's
- 12:18Speaker 1: going to descend upon this area, and that includes TV people,
- 12:22Speaker 1: the TV reporters, the anchors, especially when the anchor people
- 12:26Speaker 1: leave their leave their anchor desk and now they're going
- 12:28Speaker 1: to go on scene and embed themselves with the firefighters.
- 12:33Speaker 1: And this is not a new thing. This has happened
- 12:35Speaker 1: for decades. I remember watching the Gulf War and Dan
- 12:38Speaker 1: Rather and Tom Brokaw pulling out what looked to be
- 12:42Speaker 1: their fly fishing vests to go report on the war
- 12:46Speaker 1: in Iraq. Well, I guess because they wanted to blend
- 12:50Speaker 1: in with the hotel wall they were reporting from.
- 12:53Speaker 3: Well, never forget the first Gulf War. Is what puts
- 12:57Speaker 3: CNN on the map is Peter Rneck and Wolf Blitzer
- 13:02Speaker 3: and I can't remember who the third person was, but
- 13:04Speaker 3: it was their reporting from Baghdad like live as the
- 13:08Speaker 3: bombs were starting to fall that all of a sudden
- 13:10Speaker 3: CNN because then see all the networks are carrying CNN.
- 13:13Speaker 3: That's really what I mean. It had been around for
- 13:16Speaker 3: about ten years, but that's what launched CNN as a
- 13:19Speaker 3: major news network.
- 13:21Speaker 1: And it's fascinating to me to see all the news
- 13:24Speaker 1: personalities that will descend upon an area of massive news proportions.
- 13:30Speaker 1: And then they and then they had to dress the part.
- 13:33Speaker 1: So you've because I remember like Dan Rather wearing like
- 13:36Speaker 1: army fatigues at reporting from Vietnam, the fishing jackets because
- 13:41Speaker 1: they were tan colored or sand colored from the Gulf War.
- 13:45Speaker 1: And now because of the fires in Los Angeles, you
- 13:48Speaker 1: have all these TV journalists dressing like firefighters, one of
- 13:53Speaker 1: which is David Meir from ABC News. David Meir from
- 13:57Speaker 1: ABC News, he does is it the nightly news on
- 14:01Speaker 1: what's the late ABC?
- 14:02Speaker 3: Whatever? He does World News tonight, World News Tonight. That's
- 14:06Speaker 3: he is their chief News course, chief news guy.
- 14:10Speaker 1: He is their main dude when it comes to reporting
- 14:12Speaker 1: news on ABC and so much so that you got
- 14:16Speaker 1: to make sure when you're there on location, you got
- 14:19Speaker 1: to look the part, right, So David Mihir made sure
- 14:21Speaker 1: to go to ABC News wardrobe and make sure he
- 14:26Speaker 1: was able to acquire.
- 14:28Speaker 2: His own firefighting fit. And this is silly for two reasons.
- 14:35Speaker 1: One because he kind of looks like this is an
- 14:38Speaker 1: absolute fire fighter's jacket that he is wearing on TV,
- 14:43Speaker 1: and he's not anywhere near a fire most of the time.
- 14:46Speaker 2: He's just got to look the part.
- 14:47Speaker 1: So he's basically got to he's got a cosplay wildfire
- 14:51Speaker 1: fighter on TV. That's how serious and important it is
- 14:56Speaker 1: when you relay the information to people at home. But
- 14:58Speaker 1: the thing is is those fire jackets are not very
- 15:02Speaker 1: form fitting. They're kind of baggy, right, So David Muir
- 15:05Speaker 1: on ABC News when he turns to show devastation behind
- 15:09Speaker 1: him on TV doing a live report, the clothes pins
- 15:14Speaker 1: on the back of his jacket were exposed. Because look,
- 15:18Speaker 1: just because you're reporting on death and devastation in southern
- 15:22Speaker 1: California with the wildfires, doesn't mean you can't still have
- 15:25Speaker 1: that sexy v shape when you're on TV.
- 15:31Speaker 2: Wow.
- 15:33Speaker 3: And if you've ever seen David Muir, you you could
- 15:35Speaker 3: tell he's a man who spends a lot of time
- 15:37Speaker 3: in the gym.
- 15:38Speaker 2: He does, he works out, and I understand, I understand
- 15:41Speaker 2: wanting to look the part, right, Like you spend all
- 15:43Speaker 2: that time in the gym, you want people to notice it,
- 15:45Speaker 2: and people can't notice it if you're wearing a big, bulky,
- 15:48Speaker 2: unflattering yellow wildfire fighter jacket.
- 15:52Speaker 4: So that's what the uncanny valley was. He's wearing a
- 15:55Speaker 4: firefighter jacket, but it's fitted.
- 15:57Speaker 1: Yeah, that's why you notice on his jacket it actually
- 16:02Speaker 1: the photo I'm showing you.
- 16:03Speaker 2: It does say and it's embroidered on there.
- 16:05Speaker 1: ABC News. So it's not like he ran down to
- 16:09Speaker 1: the goodwill and just pick this up, you know, on
- 16:11Speaker 1: a whim. This is in this is this is in
- 16:13Speaker 1: his closet waiting for this moment right an ABC News.
- 16:17Speaker 1: When they paid for this set of something better Catch
- 16:19Speaker 1: on Fire, we got us in, David, I have to
- 16:21Speaker 1: wear this damn thing that we paid for.
- 16:23Speaker 2: But here's the difference.
- 16:24Speaker 3: He's probably CUsing Ted Copple was a fattest.
- 16:29Speaker 2: That's right. It was probably Ted Copples. I think it
- 16:31Speaker 2: is kind of an older logo. You're right, it was
- 16:33Speaker 2: probably Ted Copples jacket that he never wore, but it
- 16:35Speaker 2: was fitted for him and David mehr is actually in shape,
- 16:38Speaker 2: so he had to close pin it to make himself
- 16:39Speaker 2: look good.
- 16:40Speaker 1: So if you're David Mehir from ABC News, you're looking
- 16:43Speaker 1: pretty good. You got your fire jacking on and it
- 16:46Speaker 1: says ABC News on it. On the other hand, if
- 16:50Speaker 1: you're just some random reporter working for NBC Nightly News,
- 16:54Speaker 1: you may not have access to the same threads. So
- 16:57Speaker 1: in which case, you just go to whatever store you
- 17:00Speaker 1: can find nearby that has yellow button down shirts that
- 17:04Speaker 1: you wear over your black undershirt and now you kind
- 17:06Speaker 1: of look like a smoke jumper on TV. I don't
- 17:11Speaker 1: know who that reporter is, but he is absolutely And
- 17:15Speaker 1: I love the quote that my buddy Brian here used.
- 17:18Speaker 1: And then there's this twat cause playing Wildland firefighter on
- 17:21Speaker 1: BC Nightly News.
- 17:27Speaker 2: TV people just such a swell bunch, you know.
- 17:35Speaker 3: They have such a good sense of humor about things.

- 18:37Speaker 2: Ah, enough with the serious stuff.
- 18:39Speaker 1: Let's get back to Uh, let's get back to some
- 18:42Speaker 1: good old fashioned stupid. And I don't know if there's
- 18:46Speaker 1: much stupider stories in the news right now than this one.
- 18:50Speaker 1: Thank you Trey for sending this to us inside the Treehouse.
- 18:55Speaker 1: Police in Florida are looking for a woman who pooped
- 18:58Speaker 1: on the floor of a family dollar store.
- 19:01Speaker 2: But that's not all she did it.
- 19:04Speaker 1: She did it allegedly to distract the staff while a
- 19:08Speaker 1: man stole around five hundred dollars in cleaning supplies.
- 19:12Speaker 2: Along with her stools. They're still on the loose. And
- 19:17Speaker 2: I'd like to point out five hundred dollars in cleaning
- 19:20Speaker 2: supplies from a family dollar store is a lot of
- 19:23Speaker 2: cleaning supplies. That's a big heist.
- 19:27Speaker 4: To distract from it, she does one of the grossest things,
- 19:32Speaker 4: one of the least cleanly sanitary things you can do.
- 19:35Speaker 1: But honestly, if you walked into a family Dollar store
- 19:38Speaker 1: and you saw a lady taking it on the floor,
- 19:40Speaker 1: would you really be surprised?
- 19:42Speaker 2: Nah, I wouldn't.
- 19:44Speaker 1: I mean, if I work there, I can understand using
- 19:46Speaker 1: it as a distracting tactic, and it you know, it's
- 19:49Speaker 1: somewhat worked because they both still got away, and the
- 19:52Speaker 1: dude got away with the cleaning supplies. Although now that
- 19:56Speaker 1: I think about it, it's really rude to take it
- 19:58Speaker 1: in the Family Dollar so your boyfriend can steal cleaning supplies,
- 20:03Speaker 1: meaning there's no cleaning supplies left in the store for
- 20:05Speaker 1: them to clean.
- 20:06Speaker 3: Up your.
- 20:09Speaker 2: That's pretty terrible there is that.
- 20:13Speaker 3: Someday they probably had to walk next door to Dollar
- 20:15Speaker 3: General and buy some cleaning supplies. M hm.
- 20:18Speaker 2: Oh, and you know that's embarrassing.
- 20:20Speaker 1: Oh, they're probably across the street and looking at the left.
- 20:25Speaker 1: At the left they're looking at looking at that store.
- 20:27Speaker 1: Then on the right there's ninety nine cents. Only we
- 20:30Speaker 1: can't slum it. Now, it's we'll go to We'll go
- 20:32Speaker 1: to the dollar. Yeah. Police in uh County, Florida, are
- 20:37Speaker 1: looking for a man and a woman who stole around
- 20:38Speaker 1: five hundred dollars worth of cleaning supplies from a Family
- 20:41Speaker 1: Dollar store last month. Uh.
- 20:43Speaker 2: And obviously it's the employees who really needed those cleaning supplies,
- 20:46Speaker 2: because the man was collecting the supplies and a cart
- 20:49Speaker 2: and wheeling them out, and then the woman distracted the
- 20:52Speaker 2: staff by pooping right on the floor of the store.
- 20:56Speaker 2: That's all the details we have so far.
- 20:58Speaker 1: As if that's not enough, police are referring to them
- 21:01Speaker 1: as mister Clean and miss Dookie.
- 21:13Speaker 2: Wow.
- 21:16Speaker 4: I can't wait for the Netflix documentaries.
- 21:19Speaker 1: I can't wait for them to catch her and find
- 21:21Speaker 1: out what her prison nickname is gonna be.

- 22:19Speaker 1: Trey Trenholm and Jerry Caldwell on Monday January thirteenth, twenty
- 22:23Speaker 1: twenty five. Speaking of twenty twenty five. I'm not sure,
- 22:29Speaker 1: but it is possible that twenty twenty five might be
- 22:34Speaker 1: a very exciting year for everyone. But I've got an
- 22:37Speaker 1: interesting question slash riddle for you to for you to ponder, gentlemen, Okay.
- 22:42Speaker 2: You ready.
- 22:45Speaker 1: If something is full of can it be smart? If
- 22:51Speaker 1: something is full of can it be smart? Don't twist
- 22:59Speaker 1: your brain into morenots on it.
- 23:00Speaker 4: Just you know you're calling it an it so to
- 23:03Speaker 4: have to not be a person. So we're talking about
- 23:05Speaker 4: a smart toilet. Perhaps, Jerry, you're a damn genius. That's
- 23:11Speaker 4: exactly what this is. Twenty twenty five may be the
- 23:14Speaker 4: year of the smart toilet.
- 23:18Speaker 2: Oh boy.
- 23:19Speaker 1: Japanese toilet and bedet toilet seat maker Toto Okay, the
- 23:24Speaker 1: company's name is Toto. Japanese toilet and bidet toilet seat
- 23:28Speaker 1: maker Toto is setting its sights on conquering the American market,
- 23:32Speaker 1: promising to triple its showrooms in the United States from
- 23:36Speaker 1: one hundred to three hundred across sixty three cities by
- 23:39Speaker 1: the end of next year.
- 23:40Speaker 2: That's according to the company's CEO.
- 23:43Speaker 1: In other news, there are one hundred toilet showrooms in
- 23:47Speaker 1: the United States and various cities and I've yet to
- 23:51Speaker 1: see one, But i have to admit I'm a little curious,
- 23:54Speaker 1: and I've seen the Tesla stores at the malls here
- 23:56Speaker 1: and there, but I've not seen the toilet store. Toto
- 24:01Speaker 1: brought the bidet to the masses in Japan in nineteen
- 24:04Speaker 1: eighty when it created the washlet that's a bidet toilet
- 24:07Speaker 1: seat attachment. The company now boasts sixty million washlets. They
- 24:13Speaker 1: currently cost around three hundred and fifty bucks. Sixty million
- 24:17Speaker 1: washlets in use worldwide. It also offers a range of
- 24:21Speaker 1: high tech smart toilets that cost anywhere from six thousand
- 24:25Speaker 1: dollars to over twenty two thousand dollars for a toilet,
- 24:31Speaker 1: sorry for a smart toilet, So for six thousand to
- 24:36Speaker 1: twenty two thousand dollars or more than twenty two thousand dollars,
- 24:39Speaker 1: what do they do? Already spread wide in Japan and
- 24:45Speaker 1: other Asian markets, Toto toilets use less water and offer
- 24:48Speaker 1: features that other boring dumb toilets could only dream of,
- 24:53Speaker 1: such as flushing systems that blast off streaks on the
- 24:57Speaker 1: bowl nice not just regular beiday streams, but oscillating the
- 25:06Speaker 1: day's streams. It's kind of the other day when we
- 25:10Speaker 1: were talking about the story where doctors had said it's
- 25:12Speaker 1: important for you not to spend more than ten minutes
- 25:15Speaker 1: on the toilet at a time, and that means they're
- 25:19Speaker 1: going to have to put some sort of you know,
- 25:21Speaker 1: timer on these toilets, because if you're having an oscillating
- 25:24Speaker 1: beidat system, I mean, that's gonna be at least what
- 25:26Speaker 1: fifteen twenty minutes if you're getting a button.
- 25:28Speaker 2: Massage like that. Oh and these smart toilets also come
- 25:34Speaker 2: with memory settings for different users.
- 25:38Speaker 1: Excellent, which I'm happy, which I got happy they made
- 25:42Speaker 1: it out of Africa.
- 25:48Speaker 4: Sorry, no, I was trying to come up with one too, Toto.
- 25:56Speaker 1: They've come a long way since Afriga.
- 26:03Speaker 2: And here's the big picture.
- 26:04Speaker 1: Toto the smart toilet manufacturer, who, as Tray very keenly
- 26:11Speaker 1: pointed out, has made it out of Africa. Toto the
- 26:14Speaker 1: toilet manufacturer has backed off growth efforts in China after
- 26:19Speaker 1: years of falling sales, which it attributes to a slowing
- 26:21Speaker 1: real estate market. The company thinks it can instead tap
- 26:25Speaker 1: the US market and ride the pandemic wave of the
- 26:28Speaker 1: day obsession. I for one, can't wait to see the
- 26:32Speaker 1: total toilet store at the mall next to Neemon Markets
- 26:38Speaker 1: or are they going to do licensing deals with these
- 26:40Speaker 1: because we talked last year about how luxury manufacturers or
- 26:45Speaker 1: luxury brands are doing residential real estate now. So there's
- 26:51Speaker 1: places like the Louis Vatan building that are apartments and
- 26:54Speaker 1: condos and things. There's one I saw last week in Florida.
- 26:59Speaker 1: It's the Porsche build, but it's sinky that's falling it.
- 27:07Speaker 1: But yeah, I mean a smart toilet, memory settings, uh,
- 27:13Speaker 1: streak washing, oscillating bidets.
- 27:17Speaker 3: It's Trey.
- 27:19Speaker 2: You're our Star Trek expert.
- 27:20Speaker 1: Was there anything like that on Star Trek, either the
- 27:23Speaker 1: original or the next generation?
- 27:25Speaker 3: You know that that's something they never really covered.
- 27:27Speaker 4: Yes, they never talked about the bathrooms.
- 27:30Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know. Will they do the luxury market
- 27:33Speaker 3: or will they go like the Spirits, you know deal
- 27:36Speaker 3: and just take over empty real estate.
- 27:41Speaker 1: Oh that's a good idea, because like Spirit Halloween will
- 27:44Speaker 1: take over a failed retail.
- 27:47Speaker 2: Businesses and open up shop. That's not a bad idea.
- 27:50Speaker 1: So maybe there'll be a nice Toto smart toilet bidet
- 27:53Speaker 1: store where Forever twenty one used to be.

- 28:56Speaker 1: inside the Treehouse. Today is my day, January thirteenth, twenty
- 29:01Speaker 1: twenty five, so let's celebrate.
- 29:05Speaker 2: With some birthdays. It's actually a decent birthday day.
- 29:09Speaker 1: The thing that I love about birthdays is we get
- 29:11Speaker 1: some of the most random content that we ever get
- 29:14Speaker 1: on this show out of birthdays. One of the things
- 29:16Speaker 1: I hate about birthdays is if you have a slow
- 29:18Speaker 1: birthday day.
- 29:21Speaker 2: Today is not one of those days.
- 29:22Speaker 1: Thankfully, starting off, Natalia Dyer turns thirty today. Natalia Dyer
- 29:28Speaker 1: turns thirty. Trey, you and I know her best as
- 29:31Speaker 1: Nancy Wheeler on Stranger Things. Okay, so the Mike's older sister.
- 29:39Speaker 1: I'm gonna use this as a real big segue here, Trey. Okay,
- 29:41Speaker 1: this is what I mean by random content during birthday.
- 29:44Speaker 1: So here's what we're gonna do. So Natalia Dyer's birthday
- 29:48Speaker 1: is today. She's Nancy Wheeler on Stranger Things and she's thirty.
- 29:51Speaker 1: She's thirty years old and plays a high school student
- 29:54Speaker 1: in Stranger Things. Right, but did you ever look at
- 29:58Speaker 1: her and think there's no Did you ever think it
- 30:01Speaker 1: wasn't believable that she could.
- 30:02Speaker 2: Be a senior in high school?
- 30:05Speaker 3: No? Not really, not really?
- 30:07Speaker 1: Right now, this is not a new thing. Hollywood has
- 30:09Speaker 1: done this forever. They'll take older actresses and put them
- 30:13Speaker 1: in younger roles, just maybe because they're just better actresses.
- 30:16Speaker 1: One of the best examples I can give in one
- 30:18Speaker 1: of the is from Beverly Hills nine oh two one zero,
- 30:24Speaker 1: the actress that played Andrea, the curly haired newspaper manager.
- 30:29Speaker 2: Which, oddly enough, so is Italia. So is Nancy Wheeler
- 30:32Speaker 2: and Stranger Things.
- 30:33Speaker 1: She was like thirty years old as well, playing a
- 30:36Speaker 1: high school student. Okay, here's my big segue from one
- 30:41Speaker 1: thing to another using old actresses playing young parts. The
- 30:47Speaker 1: TV show You Love Right Now land Man, Yes, Billy
- 30:51Speaker 1: Bob Thornton, and the relationship he has with his TV
- 30:55Speaker 1: show daughter. I don't know her name, but Tara and
- 30:59Speaker 1: I watched the first episode the other night at your.
- 31:01Speaker 3: Suggestion, how'd you like it?
- 31:04Speaker 2: Trey, I gotta admit, I've really got to admit to you,
- 31:07Speaker 2: it's really stupid. Really, it's so stupid. Now here's the thing.
- 31:15Speaker 1: Most of the Lambman stuff I was on board with,
- 31:17Speaker 1: and it's not all stupid. Uh, the daughter dynamic thing
- 31:21Speaker 1: that's too much for me to swallow because when he
- 31:26Speaker 1: first picks her up, and Tara knows, I've not been
- 31:31Speaker 1: I've been just shy of obsessed with this. When I
- 31:33Speaker 1: first saw her, it's like there was My first thought was,
- 31:35Speaker 1: there's no way that girl is anywhere near believable seventeen.
- 31:40Speaker 2: And she's not. She's twenty seven. She just didn't look at.
- 31:43Speaker 3: It all, Okay, I never I never got that one.
- 31:50Speaker 2: I did, like, it's the first thing I saw.
- 31:52Speaker 1: I was like, you're you're kidding, But that's just ridiculous.
- 31:54Speaker 1: So I think the casting there was bad.
- 31:56Speaker 2: She doesn't.
- 31:56Speaker 1: It's not believable enough that she'd be high school age.
- 31:59Speaker 1: And the other thing that bothered us was when the
- 32:03Speaker 1: accident happened at the rig where they had the blowout,
- 32:07Speaker 1: and Billy Bob Thornton at the beginning of the second
- 32:09Speaker 1: episode has to go and shut off the valve. So
- 32:13Speaker 1: the chain of events here, and this is not a spoiler,
- 32:15Speaker 1: but they have a blowout at an oil rig right
- 32:17Speaker 1: or at a gas thing whatever. So it's a big explosion.
- 32:20Speaker 1: It's dangerous and it's scary, and it hurts some people.
- 32:22Speaker 1: And then there's first responders on scene, and then in
- 32:25Speaker 1: comes Billy Bob Thornton, the landman. None of the firefighters
- 32:29Speaker 1: on scene or anything try to do anything about the
- 32:31Speaker 1: blowout or shut off a valve.
- 32:32Speaker 2: They don't do anything. So Billy Bob Thornton has to
- 32:34Speaker 2: put on the jack and he goes and does.
- 32:35Speaker 1: It, and then when he does it, he smashes his
- 32:37Speaker 1: finger and then he calls and says, we need a
- 32:42Speaker 1: fire crew out for this explosion.
- 32:45Speaker 2: That should have been the first call.
- 32:51Speaker 3: No, he had to get the gas valve shut.
- 32:55Speaker 2: When he's driving, which it's West Texas driving to this
- 32:59Speaker 2: blow Oh, wow, which is probably an hour away, if
- 33:02Speaker 2: not more, where he gets to call, you know, there's
- 33:05Speaker 2: a blowout call the people that are supposed to come,
- 33:08Speaker 2: you know, shut it off and and and do something
- 33:11Speaker 2: about it.
- 33:13Speaker 3: Well, as you'll figure out throughout the show, and there's
- 33:19Speaker 3: some truth to this of the more they can contain
- 33:23Speaker 3: in house and not get authorities involved, the better off
- 33:25Speaker 3: they are.
- 33:30Speaker 2: All right, I'll, i'll, I'll take your word for it.
- 33:35Speaker 2: It just seems silly when there's a fire to wait
- 33:38Speaker 2: a really long time before you call the people that
- 33:40Speaker 2: are in charge of fighting it.
- 33:43Speaker 3: I mean, there there, I forgot. I can't think of
- 33:46Speaker 3: his last name, for his name is Red. There was
- 33:49Speaker 3: a guy like his whole job was to go into
- 33:54Speaker 3: these oil like because they're too hot for just regular firefighters.
- 33:58Speaker 3: His whole job was to go in and a lot
- 34:00Speaker 3: of times he would use explosives to shut these fires down.
- 34:04Speaker 3: Like So, no, it's amazing the crap you will watch,
- 34:11Speaker 3: But then you're gonna pick apart land man.
- 34:14Speaker 2: Why does the daughter not wear any pants? It's weird.
- 34:19Speaker 3: It's a granted, So here's the thing with.
- 34:23Speaker 2: Her dad not wearing any pants.
- 34:25Speaker 3: Hang on, it's a weird as Ali Larter. As Ali
- 34:31Speaker 3: Larter gets introduced into the show, things with the daughter
- 34:35Speaker 3: make a lot more sense.
- 34:37Speaker 1: Oh yeah, no, I've they've they've they've well established the
- 34:41Speaker 1: fact that there's a really tough family dynamic here that
- 34:44Speaker 1: makes it okay for the daughter to not wear any pants,
- 34:47Speaker 1: barely a shirt and uh and get in bed with
- 34:50Speaker 1: her daddy. The good news is, I know what the
- 34:54Speaker 1: porn parody's gonna look like.

- 35:56Speaker 1: I'm going to let you choose your own adventure for
- 35:58Speaker 1: the end of the show. Would you would you like
- 36:00Speaker 1: more of a good birthday day birthdays? Or do you
- 36:05Speaker 1: want to revisit the wildfires in LA but.
- 36:08Speaker 2: Focus on the idiots?
- 36:10Speaker 3: Oh?
- 36:11Speaker 1: I know, the temptation to know what the other birthdays
- 36:16Speaker 1: are on a quote good birthday day are versus the
- 36:20Speaker 1: guaranteed hilarity and hijinks from wildfire idiots.
- 36:27Speaker 3: I'm gonna go with birthdays.
- 36:30Speaker 2: Really, i gotta admit I'm a little surprised.
- 36:33Speaker 3: Well, and there's a reason. Okay, number one is too
- 36:41Speaker 3: soon at number two is that list will just grow.
- 36:49Speaker 1: That is true, There'll be plenty. There will be plenty
- 36:51Speaker 1: of meat on that bone to pick tomorrow. Yeah, all right,
- 36:55Speaker 1: that works for me.
- 36:57Speaker 3: Whereas these birthdays today are today you say it's a
- 37:00Speaker 3: good birthday day, So I'm intrigued.
- 37:03Speaker 2: I'm a birthday snob, all right.
- 37:06Speaker 1: So for today, Monday, January thirteenth, twenty twenty five birthdays today,
- 37:12Speaker 1: we so far have only covered one. The actress that
- 37:15Speaker 1: plays Nancy Wheeler on Stranger Things is thirty today.
- 37:17Speaker 2: Her name is Natalia Dyer. Other birthdays.
- 37:21Speaker 1: Liam Hemsworth is thirty five today, He's the younger brother
- 37:24Speaker 1: of Luke and Chris Himsworth. Liam is the one that
- 37:28Speaker 1: played Gail in the Hunger Games movies. He's also taking
- 37:31Speaker 1: over the role of Gerald of Rivia from Henry cavill
- 37:35Speaker 1: in the upcoming fourth season of The Actually I think
- 37:38Speaker 1: that already aired. He took over for Henry cavill in
- 37:42Speaker 1: The Witcher And no offense to Liam Hemsworth. He's a
- 37:45Speaker 1: good actor, but man, I don't know if you ever
- 37:48Speaker 1: want to like follow Henry cavill in anything.
- 37:51Speaker 3: No, And I mean, isn't he also mister Cyrus.
- 37:56Speaker 1: He was that surprisingly shockingly, that relationship he had with
- 38:01Speaker 1: Miley Cyrus did not last. It was just said, we
- 38:05Speaker 1: were all stunned by that.
- 38:06Speaker 3: Yeah, really is a big shock.
- 38:08Speaker 2: We really thought those kids were gonna make it.
- 38:13Speaker 1: So anyway, Lillam Hemsworth he is thirty five today, American
- 38:17Speaker 1: arguably one of the most famous American Idol alums who
- 38:21Speaker 1: never actually made it on the show. William Hung he
- 38:26Speaker 1: is forty two today, never actually made it on the show,
- 38:30Speaker 1: was just in the audition process. Is one of the
- 38:33Speaker 1: most famous people to come out of it still. William
- 38:36Speaker 1: Hung forty two today. Orlando Bloom Turns forty eight. He
- 38:42Speaker 1: played the dashing Will Turner in the Pirates of the
- 38:45Speaker 1: Caribbean movies. He's also the elf Lecoless in the Lord
- 38:49Speaker 1: of the Rings and Hobbit movies. Right now, he's starring
- 38:52Speaker 1: on Amazon's Carnival Row and he speaking of American idol,
- 38:56Speaker 1: is mister Katie Perry.
- 38:58Speaker 3: Yes he is. You know, there's a confession. I have
- 39:02Speaker 3: never seen any of the Pirate Pirates movies.
- 39:05Speaker 1: Really, yeah, I don't know if you'll like them or not,
- 39:10Speaker 1: because they're they're fun.
- 39:13Speaker 3: You know what.
- 39:16Speaker 1: I almost had. I think you will, but I really
- 39:18Speaker 1: have no idea. Yeah, watch one, just watch one, watch
- 39:21Speaker 1: the first one. I mean, it's not mandatory that you
- 39:26Speaker 1: watch them in order or whatever. But have you ever
- 39:28Speaker 1: watched any of the Harry Potter movies?
- 39:30Speaker 3: Oh? All of them?
- 39:31Speaker 1: Okay, so me, I have an issue with the Harry
- 39:35Speaker 1: Potter movies and the Pirates of the Caribbean movies.
- 39:37Speaker 3: What's your issue with Harry Potter.
- 39:39Speaker 2: Look, it's nothing like that. It's not that bad because
- 39:43Speaker 2: I don't know if I've seen them all or not.
- 39:45Speaker 1: Because the Harry Potter movies and the Pirates of the
- 39:48Speaker 1: Caribbean movies would would air on TV so much, and
- 39:51Speaker 1: I would watch one. I wasn't sure if which one
- 39:53Speaker 1: I was watching, because I might pick it up somewhere
- 39:55Speaker 1: in there.
- 39:56Speaker 3: They're numbered, Well, Harry Potter movies are numbered.
- 40:01Speaker 2: Are they?
- 40:02Speaker 3: Yes?
- 40:03Speaker 1: But when I'm watching TV on the guide it doesn't
- 40:06Speaker 1: say Harry Potter won or Harry Potter. I promise Potter
- 40:10Speaker 1: and the whatever it is.
- 40:12Speaker 3: If you look at the info when they show the
- 40:14Speaker 3: picture of there will always be a number on it.
- 40:18Speaker 1: I don't think my guide has the numbers. It's just
- 40:21Speaker 1: like it's it's like Harry Potter Roulette. I don't know
- 40:25Speaker 1: if I'm getting two or.
- 40:26Speaker 3: So or here here here, you try this one out.
- 40:30Speaker 3: You can google Harry Potter movies in order and it'll
- 40:33Speaker 3: give you a list.
- 40:36Speaker 2: I'm aware of. I'm aware of the function of I've
- 40:39Speaker 2: heard of the website Google. Yeah, big fan of it.
- 40:43Speaker 2: Been a big fan of Google for many, many years.
- 40:45Speaker 3: Uh, But.
- 40:48Speaker 1: I don't so I've seen I don't know if I've
- 40:51Speaker 1: seen all the movies, both both franchises. I think I have,
- 40:57Speaker 1: but I'm not certain because there's I know I've seen
- 41:01Speaker 1: the last Pirates the Caribbean movie, although I don't know
- 41:04Speaker 1: which one that is titled. And I know i've I've
- 41:07Speaker 1: seen the final Harry Potter. But there's one movie in
- 41:11Speaker 1: in the middle of both of those franchises where I'm
- 41:13Speaker 1: a little foggy.
