- 1:15SPEAKER_09: Kennedy is dead.
- 1:17SPEAKER_11: Right.
- 1:18SPEAKER_09: No.
- 1:20SPEAKER_15: Really?
- 1:21SPEAKER_15: Really?
- 1:22SPEAKER_15: Uh so we've been gone for two weeks.
- 1:25SPEAKER_15: And and here's why.
- 1:27SPEAKER_09: Um because we don't manage time well.
- 1:30SPEAKER_15: We don't.
- 1:31SPEAKER_15: Well, we had Well, we had a lot going on.
- 1:34SPEAKER_15: We had a lot going on.
- 1:35SPEAKER_15: Last week we had two rehearsals because we had a show, a uh Syndicate, our fundraising show, annual fundraiser, uh on Sunday afternoon, and we rehearsed for that last week.
- 1:47SPEAKER_15: Uh, which took up our Tuesday.
- 1:49SPEAKER_15: Right.
- 1:50SPEAKER_15: Yeah.
- 1:50SPEAKER_15: We usually record on Tuesdays, so we it took up our Tuesday.
- 1:53SPEAKER_15: But then we have uh Skinny Elvis is playing on Thursday this week.
- 1:58SPEAKER_15: So we had a Skinny Elvis rehearsal last week.
- 2:00SPEAKER_15: Right.
- 2:01SPEAKER_15: And we couldn't record on Monday because you had Lodge.
- 2:04SPEAKER_15: Yeah.
- 2:05SPEAKER_15: And so we just we couldn't, you know, sometimes time gets away.
- 2:10SPEAKER_16: Sweet Mason's rule the world.
- 2:12SPEAKER_15: Time gets away from us sometimes, so we couldn't uh we couldn't.
- 2:15SPEAKER_09: Yeah, I just didn't have a it's just everything just happened at once.
- 2:18SPEAKER_09: Yeah.
- 2:18SPEAKER_09: We were just like, oh, what's Gotta G I guess we're not recording anything.
- 2:23SPEAKER_15: Yeah.
- 2:23SPEAKER_15: So so uh so we've got two weeks worth of uh uh catching up to do.
- 2:29SPEAKER_15: Um and And I got nothing.
- 2:32SPEAKER_15: I got nothing too.
- 2:34SPEAKER_15: Well, I mean Well Well, that was fun.
- 2:37SPEAKER_15: Let me let me tell you this story.
- 2:39SPEAKER_15: So let's start with the the the dad joke.
- 2:41SPEAKER_09: Oh, we gotta do the dad joke brought to you by the Prescott High School Corps.
- 2:45SPEAKER_15: So and I'll tell you something else about that too.
- 2:47SPEAKER_15: Um I wasn't gonna do it on the air, but that's okay.
- 2:50SPEAKER_15: It's kind of an interesting story.
- 2:52SPEAKER_09: Because I think Yeah, well I only want very interesting or sort of interesting.
- 2:56SPEAKER_09: Well, I think it really speaks volumes.
- 2:57SPEAKER_09: Kind of does not does not interest me.
- 2:59SPEAKER_15: I think it speaks volumes of the uh character of my kids.
- 3:02SPEAKER_15: Okay.
- 3:03SPEAKER_15: Not my kids, but the chorus kids.
- 3:04SPEAKER_15: So correct.
- 3:06SPEAKER_15: So the joke today was, my the joke that I told was uh um why let's see why does Irish chili only is it only made of two hundred and thirty-nine beans?
- 3:26SPEAKER_12: I have no idea.
- 3:28SPEAKER_12: Because one more and it's too farte.
- 3:36SPEAKER_12: Too far teo farti.
- 3:38SPEAKER_16: They freaking hate you so much.
- 3:39SPEAKER_16: They liked it.
- 3:43SPEAKER_15: Um I gotta tell you about my chorus.
- 3:46SPEAKER_15: So this is terrible.
- 3:47SPEAKER_15: This was pretty cool.
- 3:48SPEAKER_15: So my jazz choir.
- 3:51SPEAKER_15: Um not my full chorus, but my jazz choir.
- 3:55SPEAKER_15: We had districts a couple weeks ago.
- 3:58SPEAKER_15: District uh jazz competition.
- 3:59SPEAKER_15: Right.
- 4:00SPEAKER_15: Uh District Jazz Festival wasn't really a competition, but we did get um graded and so we performed three songs and we got a silver award.
- 4:11SPEAKER_15: Uh like a score of 94, I think is what it was.
- 4:14SPEAKER_15: Nice.
- 4:14SPEAKER_15: We qualified for states.
- 4:15SPEAKER_15: Right.
- 4:16SPEAKER_15: So we were pretty pumped.
- 4:18SPEAKER_15: And so I put the registration in for the state competition.
- 4:22SPEAKER_15: This is a competition.
- 4:24SPEAKER_15: And um I said, and and my piano player, Sarah, um sh we have a gig the night.
- 4:31SPEAKER_15: See, I didn't know when the state jazz, vocal jazz festival was.
- 4:35SPEAKER_15: Right.
- 4:35SPEAKER_15: I I almost think it wasn't planned for the 29th until later, but I could be wrong.
- 4:42SPEAKER_15: I usually am.
- 4:44SPEAKER_15: Um but it was it was scheduled for March 29th, and we have a gig uh that night.
- 4:49SPEAKER_15: Right at six o'clock.
- 4:51SPEAKER_15: Turns out Sarah, my piano player for the jazz choir and for the syndicate, also has her own gig.
- 4:58SPEAKER_15: She's doing like a musical or something that night.
- 5:01SPEAKER_15: And so when I put in the request for a time slot for our group to perform, uh you there's a space there for you to say, you know, preferred time slot.
- 5:13SPEAKER_15: So I said I would prefer a morning time slot because, you know, my piano player has a s has a previous engagement.
- 5:21SPEAKER_15: I also have a previous engagement that night.
- 5:24SPEAKER_15: Uh so um morning at the time slot if if possible.
- 5:29SPEAKER_15: And so we got the schedule last let's see, today's no, we got the schedule on Monday.
- 5:38SPEAKER_15: Yesterday for the 29th.
- 5:42SPEAKER_09: Monday?
- 5:44SPEAKER_15: Yeah, yesterday.
- 5:45SPEAKER_15: Monday.
- 5:46SPEAKER_15: Monday.
- 5:46SPEAKER_15: Yeah, thank you.
- 5:47SPEAKER_15: Oh wait, well that's true.
- 5:48SPEAKER_15: Wouldn't be yesterday, because this is being aired on Thursday, but you know what I mean.
- 5:52SPEAKER_15: Um Monday.
- 5:54SPEAKER_15: Monday.
- 5:55SPEAKER_15: We got the schedule.
- 5:56SPEAKER_15: Doug, we got the schedule on Monday.
- 5:57SPEAKER_15: Monday?
- 5:58SPEAKER_15: Yeah.
- 5:58SPEAKER_15: Monday, you say.
- 5:59SPEAKER_15: Yeah.
- 6:01SPEAKER_15: And guess where they had us?
- 6:03SPEAKER_15: Last, the very last one.
- 6:06SPEAKER_15: How did I know?
- 6:07SPEAKER_15: The very last one.
- 6:07SPEAKER_15: I had a we had a warm-up time of 5 30 and a and a performance time of 6 o'clock.
- 6:12SPEAKER_15: Perfect.
- 6:13SPEAKER_15: So thank you so much for giving me a choice.
- 6:16SPEAKER_15: Right.
- 6:18SPEAKER_15: Jerk.
- 6:19SPEAKER_15: So So Sarah was not gonna be able to go.
- 6:22SPEAKER_15: Yeah.
- 6:23SPEAKER_15: And I was faced with possibly canceling our show.
- 6:26SPEAKER_15: Which is okay.
- 6:28SPEAKER_15: You know, that's it's fine.
- 6:29SPEAKER_15: We've we've done that before, and it, you know, we hate canceling shows for things like that.
- 6:32SPEAKER_09: But this Well, they'll just have karaoke at ear splitting decibels again.
- 6:37SPEAKER_15: So it's why not?
- 6:39SPEAKER_15: So so it didn't bother me that we'd have to cancel the show.
- 6:42SPEAKER_15: But so I have I have my jazz choir on uh Google Classroom so I can send them all messages.
- 6:48SPEAKER_15: So I said, I got the schedule today.
- 6:50SPEAKER_15: Guess what?
- 6:50SPEAKER_15: They have us for late in the evening, like the last the last one.
- 6:55SPEAKER_15: Um Mrs.
- 6:56SPEAKER_15: I I said, Sarah can't make it.
- 6:59SPEAKER_15: And so uh and and I will can't I will cancel my my show.
- 7:06SPEAKER_15: And and we'll we'll do it or whatever.
- 7:09SPEAKER_15: And I want you to, you know, think about it and if you still want to do it, so and so.
- 7:14SPEAKER_15: So in the in the and I was gonna talk to them today, because I didn't have uh I didn't have class with them yesterday because it's winter carnival week, so they're all doing different things.
- 7:22SPEAKER_15: Oh, sure.
- 7:23SPEAKER_15: So I didn't have class with them yesterday and I was gonna talk to them about it today.
- 7:26SPEAKER_15: Well, in the meantime, between Monday and Tuesday, I messaged them down at the the State Jazz and I said, Is there any way that you can change the time?
- 7:38SPEAKER_15: I had requested morning and they're like, Yeah, well, we have a lot of show choirs.
- 7:43SPEAKER_15: And they had to pack 'em all in in the morning.
- 7:46SPEAKER_15: I was like, okay, well, you know, what can you what what's the and he so he said, I can get can you do two and two thirty?
- 7:53SPEAKER_15: So you warm up at two and then you you perform at two thirty.
- 7:56SPEAKER_15: And I was like, I probably could.
- 7:59SPEAKER_15: Um a check with Sarah.
- 8:01SPEAKER_15: She still can't.
- 8:02SPEAKER_15: So we're gonna sing with tracks, which we've done before.
- 8:05SPEAKER_15: We don't like to, but we're gonna sing with the you know the background music.
- 8:08SPEAKER_15: Sure.
- 8:09SPEAKER_15: And so I'm telling this to m I'm starting I start to tell this to my jazz choir today.
- 8:15SPEAKER_15: And I said, What did you guys think about stay jazz?
- 8:19SPEAKER_15: And three seniors said, Yeah, we're not we're not gonna do it.
- 8:26SPEAKER_15: I was like, what?
- 8:27SPEAKER_15: Yeah, well we decided, we talked about it, and we're we're not gonna we're not gonna do state jazz this year.
- 8:34SPEAKER_15: And I said, Oh, hold on a second.
- 8:36SPEAKER_15: Before you say before you decide, I got the time changed to 2 and 2.30.
- 8:44SPEAKER_15: Mrs.
- 8:45SPEAKER_15: D you know, I said Sarah, I'm not gonna give her last name, Sarah, um is not gonna be able to make it still, so we'll have to sing the tracks, but I've got the time changed to earlier in the afternoon.
- 8:56SPEAKER_15: Does that change your mind a little bit?
- 8:58SPEAKER_15: And they're like, will that give you time to come back for your show?
- 9:04SPEAKER_15: Which in my head I'm like, that's why they're not doing it.
- 9:07SPEAKER_15: Because they don't want me to cancel my show.
- 9:09SPEAKER_15: Oh, yeah.
- 9:10SPEAKER_15: They don't want me to cancel my gig.
- 9:12SPEAKER_15: So I think that speaks volumes about the this is they're seniors.
- 9:17SPEAKER_15: Yeah.
- 9:17SPEAKER_15: This would be their last chance.
- 9:19SPEAKER_09: Yeah, they should do it.
- 9:20SPEAKER_09: Right.
- 9:21SPEAKER_09: Yeah.
- 9:22SPEAKER_15: So I said, I want you to talk about it and let me know by tonight.
- 9:27SPEAKER_15: And I said, I have no problem canceling my gig if we need to.
- 9:33SPEAKER_15: No problem.
- 9:34SPEAKER_15: And I may not have to.
- 9:36SPEAKER_15: We could make it back.
- 9:38SPEAKER_15: And so I said, just talk about it.
- 9:40SPEAKER_15: And I got an email later this afternoon.
- 9:43SPEAKER_15: And I said, We've discussed it, and uh we we think we'd like to go.
- 9:49SPEAKER_15: I said, perfect.
- 9:51SPEAKER_15: Because I think about it, it's about an hour and a half away.
- 9:53SPEAKER_15: It's in Millinocket.
- 9:54SPEAKER_09: Oh, okay.
- 9:55SPEAKER_15: Yeah, it's in Millinocket.
- 9:56SPEAKER_15: So, I mean, we're gonna go down, we'll go down in the morning and we'll we'll watch some performances, we'll do our thing, we'll get out of there, we'll get done before three o'clock.
- 10:06SPEAKER_15: Sure.
- 10:07SPEAKER_15: And I'll make it back for the show.
- 10:09SPEAKER_15: Yeah.
- 10:10SPEAKER_15: So I think it's a win-win.
- 10:12SPEAKER_15: I think um and I'm glad we can do it because those seniors deserve it.
- 10:17SPEAKER_15: Sure.
- 10:17SPEAKER_15: You know, those those three seniors that we have in the jazz choir.
- 10:20SPEAKER_15: So I'm I'm happy about that.
- 10:22SPEAKER_15: So but I think that was just really cool that we don't want you to cancel your show.
- 10:25SPEAKER_15: We don't want you to cancel your gig.
- 10:27SPEAKER_09: Yeah, that was a nice one.
- 10:28SPEAKER_15: Yeah, it was very nice of them.
- 10:29SPEAKER_09: Very, very mature.
- 10:30SPEAKER_09: It was.
- 10:31SPEAKER_09: Um there's hope for the future.
- 10:34SPEAKER_15: I believe.
- 10:36SPEAKER_09: I believe the children are their future.
- 10:37SPEAKER_15: Yes.
- 10:38SPEAKER_15: You teach them well, teach them well.
- 10:39SPEAKER_15: You let them lead the way the way.
- 10:41SPEAKER_15: Yeah, I didn't walk into that one.
- 10:45SPEAKER_15: So, yeah, so that's one thing that happened this week, which was which was pretty cool.
- 10:49SPEAKER_15: So I'll be going down to the State Jazz Festival on March 29th.
- 10:54SPEAKER_15: Saturday, March 29th.
- 10:55SPEAKER_07: Yay!
- 10:58SPEAKER_15: Uh, what's up, what else is going on?
- 10:59SPEAKER_15: Anything going on with you?
- 11:03SPEAKER_13: Alright, good to know.
- 11:05SPEAKER_13: Nope.
- 11:07SPEAKER_09: Got nothing.
- 11:08SPEAKER_13: Um I went to the dentist.
- 11:11SPEAKER_13: How'd that go?
- 11:12SPEAKER_09: Great.
- 11:12SPEAKER_09: Good.
- 11:13SPEAKER_09: My hy my dental hygienist was at the show, Cindy.
- 11:16SPEAKER_13: Oh yeah?
- 11:17SPEAKER_09: Yeah.
- 11:17SPEAKER_09: She she loves the syndicate.
- 11:18SPEAKER_09: Oh, wait, Cindy who?
- 11:20SPEAKER_09: No, my dental hygienist.
- 11:22SPEAKER_09: Her name's not Cindy.
- 11:22SPEAKER_15: Oh, is it Peggy?
- 11:23SPEAKER_09: No, it's Pat.
- 11:24SPEAKER_15: Oh, Pat.
- 11:25SPEAKER_15: Yeah.
- 11:25SPEAKER_15: Because there was a Peggy there who used to be a dental hygienist.
- 11:29SPEAKER_15: Who used to be my dental hygienist.
- 11:30SPEAKER_15: So I was curious if it was the same one.
- 11:32SPEAKER_15: No.
- 11:32SPEAKER_15: No, okay.
- 11:33SPEAKER_15: No.
- 11:34SPEAKER_13: Um pretty sad that we saw my dental hygienist there.
- 11:39SPEAKER_13: Me too! Hey! Woo!
- 11:41SPEAKER_15: You know you're from a small town.
- 11:43SPEAKER_16: Look at my teeth.
- 11:45SPEAKER_15: Aren't they shiny?
- 11:46SPEAKER_15: Right.
- 11:48SPEAKER_15: Um, but yeah, no, I think, oh, we could talk about the uh fundraiser a little bit.
- 11:52SPEAKER_15: We um raised money for an organization called um, well, it's called Cancer, but it's C-A-N-C-E-R with uh It's an acronym.
- 12:01SPEAKER_15: It's an acronym for caring area neighbors for cancer education and resources or something.
- 12:10SPEAKER_15: Uh I think so.
- 12:11SPEAKER_15: Something like that.
- 12:12SPEAKER_15: I wish I could I wish I could remember it.
- 12:14SPEAKER_15: But what basically what they do is uh anybody in this area that is um suffering from cancer, um, they raise money and and allow funds for travel, um, for hotel and things like that for them and their family.
- 12:31SPEAKER_15: So if they have to go downstate for treatment or even to Boston for treatment.
- 12:36SPEAKER_15: Boston.
- 12:36SPEAKER_15: Boston.
- 12:37SPEAKER_15: Um this organization helps to fund those trips, which is I think a m major help.
- 12:44SPEAKER_15: Oh, yeah.
- 12:45SPEAKER_15: To to these families.
- 12:46SPEAKER_15: Yeah.
- 12:46SPEAKER_15: And it was uh I think it was a worthwhile donation or worth worthwhile uh fundraiser.
- 12:50SPEAKER_15: Yeah.
- 12:50SPEAKER_15: And we can say how much we raise almost almost four thousand dollars.
- 12:54SPEAKER_15: Yeah.
- 12:54SPEAKER_15: It's like thirty eight thousand dollars.
- 12:56SPEAKER_15: Something like that.
- 12:57SPEAKER_15: Um so good.
- 12:58SPEAKER_15: Thanks, thanks to all of you uh folks that came out and uh and made a difference for us and with us.
- 13:04SPEAKER_15: Yes.
- 13:04SPEAKER_15: Um we had a good time as we always do.
- 13:07SPEAKER_09: It's a good time.
- 13:08SPEAKER_15: Um and our next gig is the Allstate Festival.
- 13:12SPEAKER_09: Allstate Festival.
- 13:15SPEAKER_09: That's May 15th.
- 13:16SPEAKER_09: Yeah, right?
- 13:16SPEAKER_15: Maybe at the Collins Center.
- 13:19SPEAKER_15: Yeah.
- 13:20SPEAKER_15: Have you ever been in there?
- 13:21SPEAKER_09: Never been in there.
- 13:22SPEAKER_09: I've driven by it many times with Joe Collins.
- 13:25SPEAKER_15: Where do you get on that stage?
- 13:27SPEAKER_15: Because just the it's built different.
- 13:29SPEAKER_15: Just the sound.
- 13:30SPEAKER_09: I mean, that's where they have like you know, actual musicians play.
- 13:34SPEAKER_15: Oh man.
- 13:35SPEAKER_15: So uh I'm excited to play there.
- 13:36SPEAKER_15: I think it'll I think it'll be uh a nice sound.
- 13:39SPEAKER_15: I'm excited.
- 13:39SPEAKER_09: It's like an hour, right?
- 13:41SPEAKER_09: I think I think we're playing an hour.
- 13:43SPEAKER_15: Yeah, something like that.
- 13:43SPEAKER_15: So we gotta pick out the best uh the best tunes.
- 13:46SPEAKER_15: Yeah.
- 13:46SPEAKER_15: Yeah.
- 13:50SPEAKER_09: Do we have any?
- 13:50SPEAKER_15: Uh not really.
- 13:55SPEAKER_15: Um let's let's get some uh music news out of the way here um before we go any further.
- 14:02SPEAKER_15: Spinal Tap 2 is coming out September 12th.
- 14:06SPEAKER_15: The end continues.
- 14:08SPEAKER_15: Yep.
- 14:09SPEAKER_09: Of course it's hilarious.
- 14:10SPEAKER_15: Spinal Tap 2 uh and the apps, the amps go past 11 now.
- 14:15SPEAKER_09: Yeah, yeah.
- 14:16SPEAKER_09: That's the whole that's the whole trailer.
- 14:17SPEAKER_09: Have you seen the trailer?
- 14:18SPEAKER_15: I haven't.
- 14:18SPEAKER_09: That's the whole trailer.
- 14:20SPEAKER_09: It's just it's just him plugging into an amp and turn it up, and it's like 10.
- 14:24SPEAKER_09: And the next one, 11, 10, 11, 10, 11.
- 14:29SPEAKER_15: That's awesome.
- 14:30SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 14:31SPEAKER_15: Uh let's see.
- 14:32SPEAKER_15: The Doobie Brothers released their first song from the new album Walk This Road.
- 14:37SPEAKER_15: Um, it's the fourth one.
- 14:39SPEAKER_15: Uh, it's called Learn to Let Go.
- 14:42SPEAKER_15: Uh, and it is the first, I think it's the first one that they've released that Mike McDonald uh sings on.
- 14:49SPEAKER_15: Nice.
- 14:49SPEAKER_15: So we gotta hear it.
- 14:50SPEAKER_15: Uh so this is a bit of Learn to Let Go.
- 14:57SPEAKER_15: That sounds like a Michael.
- 14:58SPEAKER_09: It already sounds like a Michael McDonald's.
- 16:24SPEAKER_15: That is the first song to feature a Doobie Brothers song to feature Michael McDonald on vocals since 1980s.
- 16:35SPEAKER_15: One step closer.
- 16:37SPEAKER_09: Wow.
- 16:38SPEAKER_15: Since since 1980.
- 16:41SPEAKER_09: That's that's been a couple years.
- 16:44SPEAKER_09: That's been a while.
- 16:45SPEAKER_09: That's been a while.
- 16:46SPEAKER_15: Uh but right, right, and like no time has passed.
- 16:48SPEAKER_15: Like it's amazing.
- 16:50SPEAKER_15: It's it's it's the Doobie Brothers with Michael McDonald.
- 16:53SPEAKER_07: Michael!
- 16:54SPEAKER_15: Uh that's pretty cool.
- 16:56SPEAKER_15: It's awesome, man.
- 16:57SPEAKER_15: Sounds great.
- 16:57SPEAKER_15: Um can't wait for that album.
- 16:59SPEAKER_09: When's that album coming out?
- 17:00SPEAKER_15: Uh May something?
- 17:01SPEAKER_09: Is it May?
- 17:02SPEAKER_15: Hold on.
- 17:03SPEAKER_15: I just had it here.
- 17:04unknown: Hold on.
- 17:08SPEAKER_15: Bless it, Arctic.
- 17:09SPEAKER_15: Thank you very much.
- 17:10SPEAKER_15: I appreciate that.
- 17:12SPEAKER_15: I'm gonna edit that out.
- 17:14SPEAKER_15: If I remember.
- 17:16SPEAKER_16: Probably won't.
- 17:16SPEAKER_16: Like I didn't remember to enter your swear the other day.
- 17:19SPEAKER_16: Yeah, but we we did we did warn everybody.
- 17:21SPEAKER_16: We did warn everybody.
- 17:22SPEAKER_16: Yeah.
- 17:22SPEAKER_16: Uh let's see.
- 17:26SPEAKER_09: It should say when when you would think, you know, if you want people to buy the album, you should tell them when it comes out.
- 17:34SPEAKER_15: Uh I mean, I I mean, I'm no marketing genius, but it's it it gives their uh it gives their tour schedule.
- 17:41SPEAKER_09: I don't care where they're touring.
- 17:43SPEAKER_09: I want the album.
- 17:44SPEAKER_13: Um it doesn't it doesn't say Well, what the freak, dude.
- 17:51SPEAKER_15: Ultimate Classic Rock needs to uh get a clue.
- 17:56SPEAKER_09: Let us down again.
- 18:00SPEAKER_15: Um Big dummy dummy heads.
- 18:02SPEAKER_15: I did want to I did want to talk about this briefly because Oh maybe it'll be on this.
- 18:05SPEAKER_15: Oh yeah, that's probably true.
- 18:06SPEAKER_15: It probably is on this.
- 18:08SPEAKER_15: Uh but before we before we get into this, um there was a there was a social media post that got picked up and every other blogger posted about it.
- 18:25SPEAKER_15: And it essentially said that I don't think they're bloggers anymore.
- 18:28SPEAKER_09: I think they're influencers.
- 18:30SPEAKER_09: Maybe that's what it is.
- 18:31SPEAKER_09: I don't know.
- 18:31SPEAKER_09: Yeah, I don't think anybody blogs anymore.
- 18:33SPEAKER_15: Um well I is isn't it still a blog?
- 18:36SPEAKER_15: They just don't call it a blog?
- 18:37SPEAKER_09: I don't know.
- 18:38SPEAKER_09: I can't keep up.
- 18:39SPEAKER_15: Yeah, I can't either.
- 18:41SPEAKER_15: Um but Alex Van Halen had said somewhere that there's a bunch of um unreleased Van Halen stuff.
- 18:51SPEAKER_09: Well he's been saying that since Eddie died.
- 18:52SPEAKER_15: Well, so so he said that Steve Lucarther is gonna help him go through it and and uh they're going to release it as Van Halen.
- 19:04SPEAKER_15: Really?
- 19:05SPEAKER_15: With Steve Lukather.
- 19:08SPEAKER_15: Like on guitar and they're gonna like all the all the bits that Eddie came up with, Steve Lucarther is going to turn them into songs.
- 19:15SPEAKER_15: Oh, I guess Alex is gonna play and they're gonna release it as Van Halen.
- 19:20SPEAKER_09: Are there gonna be any vocals or Well, I would imagine there'll be something.
- 19:23SPEAKER_15: But here well, here's the thing.
- 19:24SPEAKER_15: So Steve gonna sing it?
- 19:25SPEAKER_15: I don't know.
- 19:26SPEAKER_15: So here's the thing.
- 19:28SPEAKER_15: So uh Can I ask any more questions?
- 19:30SPEAKER_15: No, no, so let me finish.
- 19:31SPEAKER_15: Jeez.
- 19:32SPEAKER_15: I would imagine Roth would sing.
- 19:34SPEAKER_15: I don't know.
- 19:35SPEAKER_15: I don't know.
- 19:36SPEAKER_09: So Well you know Sammy's not gonna sing.
- 19:39SPEAKER_09: Right.
- 19:39SPEAKER_15: So here so here's the thing.
- 19:41SPEAKER_15: So so this um other thing picked it up and and and posted the article or w or whatever.
- 19:47SPEAKER_15: And then there's the comments.
- 19:48SPEAKER_15: And this one guy commented, um Yeah, this is Alex Van Halen cashing in on his brother's legacy, this and that, it's not even Van Halen, blah blah blah blah.
- 19:59SPEAKER_15: So I rarely do this, but I commented back.
- 20:03SPEAKER_15: Um isn't Alex's name Van Halen?
- 20:07SPEAKER_15: And isn't he working on Eddie Van Halen stuff?
- 20:11SPEAKER_15: It most certainly will be Van Halen, but this is the way I ended it.
- 20:14SPEAKER_15: I, for one, have a hard time believing this, and I think it's clickbait.
- 20:21SPEAKER_15: The day after.
- 20:23SPEAKER_09: You got blocked.
- 20:24SPEAKER_15: No, no, no, no.
- 20:26SPEAKER_15: The day after Steve Lukuther himself put out a thing and it said, I will never ever play guitar on any Van Halen album, any Van Halen record, any Van Halen song.
- 20:41SPEAKER_15: He said, Alex had talked to me about weeding through the tapes and finding things that are usable.
- 20:49SPEAKER_15: That's all I'm doing.
- 20:51SPEAKER_15: That's all I plan to do.
- 20:52SPEAKER_15: I'm not recording anything.
- 20:55SPEAKER_15: So it's like debunked.
- 20:56SPEAKER_15: It's like they take this little nugget.
- 20:58SPEAKER_09: Yeah.
- 20:59SPEAKER_15: And I'm sure Alex never said that Steve Lukather's gonna play guitar and we're gonna be Van Halen.
- 21:06SPEAKER_09: Yeah.
- 21:06SPEAKER_15: It's just like who's gonna help me?
- 21:07SPEAKER_15: We're gonna go through it.
- 21:08SPEAKER_09: And everybody heard.
- 21:10SPEAKER_09: New Van Halen! New Van Halen was Steve Lukather!
- 21:12unknown: Right.
- 21:14SPEAKER_15: Van Lukather.
- 21:15SPEAKER_15: Yeah.
- 21:16SPEAKER_15: So Steve Lukather was like Van Luke.
- 21:18SPEAKER_15: Luke was like, you know, I have too much respect.
- 21:20SPEAKER_15: Luke Halen.
- 21:21SPEAKER_15: Ooh.
- 21:22SPEAKER_15: Luke Halen.
- 21:22SPEAKER_09: Luke Kalen.
- 21:24SPEAKER_15: Van Lukather.
- 21:25SPEAKER_09: I already said that.
- 21:26SPEAKER_09: Oh, did you?
- 21:27SPEAKER_09: Yeah.
- 21:27SPEAKER_09: That was the first one I.
- 21:28SPEAKER_09: Suppose I should listen to the.
- 21:29SPEAKER_09: But actually, I actually like Lou Kalen better.
- 21:31SPEAKER_09: Luke Halen.
- 21:32SPEAKER_09: Luke Kalen.
- 21:32SPEAKER_09: Hey, how's it going, man?
- 21:34SPEAKER_09: What's your name?
- 21:34SPEAKER_09: Luke Kalen.
- 21:35SPEAKER_11: What?
- 21:38SPEAKER_09: Um new stage name.
- 21:40SPEAKER_09: Luke Halen.
- 21:41SPEAKER_09: Luke Kalen.
- 21:43SPEAKER_09: Hey! Hey Doug.
- 21:44SPEAKER_09: Now, Luke Kalen.
- 21:46SPEAKER_09: Nice to meet you.
- 21:47SPEAKER_15: I just wanted to help.
- 21:47SPEAKER_15: I'm super cool.
- 21:49SPEAKER_15: I just wanted to help uh dispel that myth.
- 21:52SPEAKER_15: Very good.
- 21:53SPEAKER_15: Um there.
- 21:54SPEAKER_15: Hopefully that helps.
- 21:55SPEAKER_09: All tens of our visitors will know now.
- 21:58SPEAKER_15: Our visitors.

- 26:21SPEAKER_15: Yep, later this year.
- 26:22SPEAKER_15: All right.
- 26:22SPEAKER_15: So uh that's all we have for April releases.
- 26:26SPEAKER_15: Alright.
- 26:26SPEAKER_15: Uh I want to talk about because you and I had talked about possibly maybe going to a concert.
- 26:37SPEAKER_15: Here's the dilemma I'm in.
- 26:39SPEAKER_15: And I want you to be honest with me.
- 26:42SPEAKER_15: Uh and this is not written in stone.
- 26:45SPEAKER_15: You suck.
- 26:46SPEAKER_15: This is not written in stone by any stretch.
- 26:49SPEAKER_15: Um Chicago is coming to Bangor.
- 26:53SPEAKER_15: And you're like, oh, we're going.
- 26:55SPEAKER_10: We should go.
- 26:56SPEAKER_15: And I really do want to go.
- 26:57SPEAKER_10: Yeah.
- 26:59SPEAKER_15: So my son, Eli, has been after me to take him to his first concert.
- 27:08SPEAKER_15: Like live concert.
- 27:10SPEAKER_15: Oh, okay.
- 27:11SPEAKER_15: Um Jude's first live concert was Night Ranger.
- 27:14SPEAKER_15: Right.
- 27:15SPEAKER_15: Oh, that's not true.
- 27:16SPEAKER_15: Jude Jude Wasn't it a Deaf Leopard?
- 27:19SPEAKER_15: No.
- 27:19SPEAKER_15: Jude and uh Olivia went to Tim McGraw.
- 27:25SPEAKER_15: And it was not good.
- 27:27SPEAKER_15: Then they then we went to actually Oh then you saw Taylor Swift.
- 27:30SPEAKER_15: We saw Taylor Swift and Gillette.
- 27:32SPEAKER_17: Yeah.
- 27:32SPEAKER_15: Which was we had nosebleed seeds, but it was a good show.
- 27:35SPEAKER_15: And yeah.
- 27:36SPEAKER_15: You hit a moose.
- 27:37SPEAKER_15: And we hit a moose.
- 27:38SPEAKER_15: Um but then I took Jude on my own with Jude to Night Ranger.
- 27:43SPEAKER_15: Right.
- 27:44SPEAKER_15: And it was it was good.
- 27:45SPEAKER_15: So I always told Eli, I said, I'll I'll take you to our show.
- 27:50SPEAKER_15: And we've been looking for the right band.
- 27:53SPEAKER_15: At the end of November, Shinedown was down there, and he wanted to see Shinedown, and I wanted to see Shinedown too.
- 27:58SPEAKER_15: But we couldn't make it work.
- 28:00SPEAKER_15: It was we just I don't know if we didn't have the money.
- 28:02SPEAKER_09: Just past November?
- 28:02SPEAKER_15: Just past November.
- 28:03SPEAKER_09: Oh, okay.
- 28:04SPEAKER_09: Yeah.
- 28:04SPEAKER_09: I didn't hear anything about this.
- 28:05SPEAKER_15: Yep.
- 28:06SPEAKER_15: Um it was uh Shinedown and um Mammoth, I believe.
- 28:11SPEAKER_09: Oh, that'll make it Oh yeah, that's right.
- 28:13SPEAKER_15: Yeah.
- 28:13SPEAKER_15: Yeah.
- 28:13SPEAKER_15: It was in towards the end of November.
- 28:15SPEAKER_09: Yeah.
- 28:16SPEAKER_15: And so uh but we didn't make it.
- 28:18SPEAKER_09: Yeah, it was like it was like the day after Thanksgiving or something.
- 28:21SPEAKER_15: Right.
- 28:21SPEAKER_15: Yeah.
- 28:22SPEAKER_15: So so they just announced a concert that's going on sale Friday.
- 28:30SPEAKER_15: You tell me.
- 28:34SPEAKER_15: Should I go to Chicago with you?
- 28:36SPEAKER_15: Or should I take my son and possibly my other son for like two concerts at once?
- 28:42SPEAKER_15: Like two first concerts at once.
- 28:45SPEAKER_15: To see Devil.
- 28:49SPEAKER_15: Extreme and Brett Michaels.
- 28:57SPEAKER_15: Who would go first there?
- 28:58SPEAKER_15: Bret Michaels or Extreme?
- 29:00SPEAKER_15: As an opener.
- 29:02SPEAKER_15: Probably extreme.
- 29:03SPEAKER_15: Yeah, you're probably right.
- 29:04SPEAKER_15: It'd probably be extreme and then Brett Michaels.
- 29:07SPEAKER_15: Which I think it should be the other way around.
- 29:08SPEAKER_09: Yeah, I think so too, but you know, you know, they're not gonna do it that way.
- 29:11SPEAKER_15: Right.
- 29:12SPEAKER_15: So Because Brad Michaels has more gravitas than uh There was a time a few years ago when Def Lepp Def Leopard was Eli's favorite band.
- 29:21SPEAKER_15: I mean he was huge into them.
- 29:23SPEAKER_15: He's into everything now.
- 29:25SPEAKER_15: But I sent him I sent him a picture of the you know, tickets go on sale Friday, Def Leopard w Bangor waterfront, blah blah blah.
- 29:33SPEAKER_15: And he because he's downstate right now.
- 29:35SPEAKER_15: Right.
- 29:35SPEAKER_15: And uh he says back, we're going.
- 29:39SPEAKER_15: So in my head I'm like, oh, this is gonna be expensive.
- 29:43SPEAKER_15: So you tell me.
- 29:46SPEAKER_09: Def Leopard.
- 29:47SPEAKER_15: Yeah, I would think, right?
- 29:48SPEAKER_09: Yeah.
- 29:49SPEAKER_15: That's where I'm leaning.
- 29:50SPEAKER_15: Yeah.
- 29:50SPEAKER_15: Because I can take Eli and possibly Finn and have their first concert experience.
- 29:56SPEAKER_15: Yeah.
- 29:56SPEAKER_09: You know, you should absolutely do that.
- 29:58SPEAKER_15: Out of the way.
- 29:59SPEAKER_15: And if I have any money left over, you and I can go see Chicago.
- 30:02SPEAKER_15: Because I got, you know, all summer.
- 30:04SPEAKER_15: And you you you'll be free too.
- 30:09SPEAKER_15: I I didn't say what what why, but you you'll be available.
- 30:13SPEAKER_09: I hope so.
- 30:14SPEAKER_15: Yeah.
- 30:15SPEAKER_15: Yeah.
- 30:16SPEAKER_15: So we could just save it.
- 30:18SPEAKER_15: It's still up in the air.
- 30:19SPEAKER_15: It is?
- 30:20SPEAKER_09: Well, I don't know.
- 30:20SPEAKER_09: I haven't heard back yet.
- 30:22SPEAKER_15: Oh.
- 30:22SPEAKER_15: Well, I mean, we could just save all kinds of money from gigs and just go to concerts.
- 30:26SPEAKER_09: Yeah, that's what we're gonna do.
- 30:29SPEAKER_09: That's a perfect plan.
- 30:30SPEAKER_15: Right.
- 30:31unknown: Yeah.
- 30:32SPEAKER_09: So when's the Deaf Leopard show?
- 30:33SPEAKER_15: July 1st.
- 30:34SPEAKER_09: Oh.
- 30:34SPEAKER_09: We have a gig July 1st.
- 30:36SPEAKER_15: No, we don't.
- 30:37SPEAKER_15: We have it uh the fourth and the th and the second.
- 30:40SPEAKER_09: Don't we have the second, third, and fourth?
- 30:42SPEAKER_15: We don't have the third, because the third was up at Portage.
- 30:45SPEAKER_15: We turned that down, remember?
- 30:47SPEAKER_09: No.
- 30:47SPEAKER_15: Yeah.
- 30:48SPEAKER_15: Okay.
- 30:49SPEAKER_15: Let me double check.
- 30:52SPEAKER_15: Oh, and by the way, we are at the Maple Pig this Friday.
- 30:55SPEAKER_13: Okay.
- 30:58SPEAKER_15: Let me just let me just, you know, I'm on my phone while I thought I thought we had like three days in a row there.
- 31:05SPEAKER_09: Or is it just two days?
- 31:07SPEAKER_09: Over July 4th.
- 31:08SPEAKER_15: Uh well, hold on.
- 31:10SPEAKER_09: Because we're playing July 4th, correct?
- 31:11SPEAKER_09: In Holton?
- 31:13SPEAKER_09: Um We we stole McLaughlin big bands.
- 31:16SPEAKER_14: Yes.
- 31:16SPEAKER_14: Yes.
- 31:16SPEAKER_09: We kicked their friggin' butts out of there.
- 31:19SPEAKER_14: Yes.
- 31:19SPEAKER_09: I feel bad.
- 31:20SPEAKER_09: I I feel bad, but I don't.
- 31:21SPEAKER_09: No, you don't.
- 31:22SPEAKER_09: I know I know I don't, but I'm just saying.
- 31:25SPEAKER_09: Because, you know.
- 31:26SPEAKER_15: They're kind of a staple.
- 31:27SPEAKER_09: Yeah, and then we kind of like, we just show up, we're like, hey, everybody, we're the syndicate.
- 31:32SPEAKER_09: We're gonna play some tunes, and everybody like we like them better.
- 31:36SPEAKER_15: Uh yeah, we don't have a gig July 1st.
- 31:39SPEAKER_09: Okay.
- 31:39SPEAKER_09: So we don't have a gig July 2nd either.
- 31:42SPEAKER_09: I thought we did.
- 31:43SPEAKER_15: No, it's the third and the fifth.
- 31:45SPEAKER_09: Okay.
- 31:45SPEAKER_15: Well And we would have played the fourth at Portage.
- 31:49SPEAKER_15: But we don't have a gig at July.
- 31:50SPEAKER_15: So what's the fifth?
- 31:51SPEAKER_15: The fifth is Ashland.
- 31:54SPEAKER_15: So what's the third?
- 31:55SPEAKER_15: The third is Holton.
- 31:58SPEAKER_09: What are we playing in Ashland for?
- 31:59SPEAKER_09: Is that the Syndicate or is that us?
- 32:01SPEAKER_09: That's Syndicate.
- 32:02SPEAKER_15: That's the Syndicate.
- 32:03SPEAKER_15: And I think we're playing, I think it's uh it's for Ashland in the um in the Larry Hall.
- 32:10SPEAKER_15: Are we playing in the gazebo?
- 32:11SPEAKER_15: No, in the Larry in the Larry Hall auditorium.
- 32:14SPEAKER_16: That would be awesome! How full circle would it be then?
- 32:17SPEAKER_16: I know, right?
- 32:17SPEAKER_15: That's our first gig.
- 32:18SPEAKER_15: We played in the gazebo for our first gig, which just blows my mind.
- 32:22SPEAKER_09: We should see if we can get up there and get pictures taken.
- 32:25SPEAKER_15: Um I think it would be awesome.
- 32:27SPEAKER_15: Uh so yeah, I'm well.
- 32:30SPEAKER_15: Yeah, so Def Leopard on the first.
- 32:31SPEAKER_15: Yeah.
- 32:31SPEAKER_15: Uh I'm having issues in my memory storage on my phone, so it's easier to get the picture through Messenger than through text.
- 32:37SPEAKER_15: Um okay, so um remind me that uh Josh wants uh a picture of us.
- 32:44SPEAKER_17: Why?
- 32:45SPEAKER_15: I should just send it to me.
- 32:46SPEAKER_16: Doesn't he want people to come?
- 32:48SPEAKER_16: I should just send him a selfie.
- 32:51SPEAKER_15: Use this one.
- 32:53SPEAKER_15: Um alright.
- 32:54SPEAKER_15: Before we go any further, can you explain this to me?
- 32:59SPEAKER_09: Uh I can do my best.
- 33:01SPEAKER_09: What's going on?
- 33:03SPEAKER_15: This bracket that uh bouncing Bob uh has set up for us.
- 33:08SPEAKER_15: I want to get this going because uh I think you know the tournament's starting.
- 33:13SPEAKER_15: It is.
- 33:14SPEAKER_15: Yeah.
- 33:14SPEAKER_15: So oops, I want to get out of here and I want to go to I was trying to go to read the messages.
- 33:26SPEAKER_15: How do I read the messages?
- 33:27SPEAKER_15: Oh, right there.
- 33:28SPEAKER_13: Sometimes I'm just I feel like I'm just too old and out of touch.
- 33:33SPEAKER_09: Sometimes you don't.
- 33:35SPEAKER_13: So Mounds don't.
- 33:40SPEAKER_13: Oh, those are his pics.
- 33:41SPEAKER_15: Okay.
- 33:41SPEAKER_15: Holy cow, Bob.
- 33:43SPEAKER_13: Bob writes a lot.
- 33:44SPEAKER_13: Bob sent me a book.
- 33:46SPEAKER_13: Uh War and Peace by Bob Clinton.
- 33:49SPEAKER_13: We read that one.
- 33:50SPEAKER_13: We read that one.
- 33:52SPEAKER_15: Alright.
- 33:54SPEAKER_15: So Ilsa made her selections.
- 33:56SPEAKER_15: So Oh, Ilsa's plan?
- 33:57SPEAKER_15: Yeah, I guess we um How do we do it?
- 34:04SPEAKER_15: Because so we have a Well, you got you got the bracket there, right?
- 34:08SPEAKER_15: Yep.
- 34:09SPEAKER_09: Okay.
- 34:09SPEAKER_09: So you just go through.
- 34:11SPEAKER_15: Yeah.
- 34:13SPEAKER_09: Says you've you're you're a bracket virgin too.
- 34:16SPEAKER_09: I'm yeah.
- 34:17SPEAKER_09: Okay.
- 34:17SPEAKER_09: So so right here, the first one is Bon Jovi and yes.
- 34:20SPEAKER_09: So I pick who I So you pick who's best and you move them to this.
- 34:23SPEAKER_09: Okay.
- 34:24SPEAKER_09: Then you just do that all the line.
- 34:25SPEAKER_09: Foo fighters and what's that say?
- 34:28SPEAKER_09: Oasis.
- 34:29SPEAKER_09: So that's an easy one.
- 34:31SPEAKER_09: It is.
- 34:31SPEAKER_09: So you move that, move them to there.
- 34:33SPEAKER_14: Okay.
- 34:34SPEAKER_09: Okay, and then you do that for everybody on this side, and then you do that for everybody on this side.
- 34:37SPEAKER_13: Okay.
- 34:38SPEAKER_09: Then you do the same thing.
- 34:39SPEAKER_09: Now that you see you got the two brackets here.
- 34:41SPEAKER_13: Right.
- 34:41SPEAKER_09: So you'd have Bon Jovi and Foo Fighters here.
- 34:43SPEAKER_09: So you pick between between Bon Jovi and Foo Fighters.
- 34:46SPEAKER_15: But do we do it all in one L at once?
- 34:48SPEAKER_15: Or do we do it like once every week?
- 34:50SPEAKER_09: No, you do it all at once.
- 34:51SPEAKER_15: You do it all at once.
- 34:52SPEAKER_15: Yeah.
- 34:52SPEAKER_15: Alright.
- 34:53SPEAKER_09: Okay, so So we can't we'll have to do it today or do it this week and bring it back next week.
- 34:59SPEAKER_15: Bring it back.
- 34:59SPEAKER_15: Yeah, yeah.
- 34:59SPEAKER_15: Let's do that.
- 35:00SPEAKER_15: Yeah.
- 35:00SPEAKER_15: Um, but I do have Bob's picks here, I think.
- 35:04SPEAKER_09: Well, let's wait until we get our picks and then we'll do all of them together.
- 35:07SPEAKER_09: Okay.
- 35:08SPEAKER_09: So uh do we want to we should include cousin Larry in this.
- 35:13SPEAKER_15: Yeah, can you send him a picture of that?
- 35:15SPEAKER_15: A picture of a picture?
- 35:16SPEAKER_15: Yeah, a picture of a picture.
- 35:17SPEAKER_09: Well, can you can you send him a picture from there?
- 35:21SPEAKER_15: Uh yes, I think I can.
- 35:23SPEAKER_09: Yeah, see if you can send it from there.
- 35:25SPEAKER_15: Hold on, Bob sent a picture of an Ed Garrity book.
- 35:27SPEAKER_15: I think.
- 35:28SPEAKER_09: Oh yeah, that was Ed's one of Ed's first books.
- 35:30SPEAKER_09: Yeah.
- 35:31SPEAKER_15: That's kind of cool.
- 35:32SPEAKER_15: Edward.
- 35:32SPEAKER_15: Edward Vincent Garretti.
- 35:34SPEAKER_15: He says, look what I just found at a book sale in Pennsylvania.
- 35:40SPEAKER_15: That's awesome.
- 35:41SPEAKER_09: He just came out with another book, uh a new book last summer.
- 35:44SPEAKER_09: Did he?
- 35:44SPEAKER_09: He sent us all uh he sent us all copies of it.
- 35:47SPEAKER_09: It's really good.
- 35:48SPEAKER_15: Dude, Ed Garretti is the best.
- 35:49SPEAKER_09: He's awesome.
- 35:50SPEAKER_09: I love Ed.
- 35:51SPEAKER_15: Um, okay, so so yeah, so we'll take we'll take some time uh after the podcast or on our own time or whatever.
- 35:58SPEAKER_09: Yeah.
- 35:59SPEAKER_15: And fill out our pictures.
- 36:00SPEAKER_15: I figured that was how that worked.
- 36:03SPEAKER_09: Yeah, so you'll just do that every you know, whoever the one, you know, from this bracket, you move them to the next bracket, you know, and then you just keep going on until you get to the final two, and then you put whoever you think is the between these two, you put them in the middle.
- 36:17SPEAKER_15: That's that's an empty one?
- 36:19SPEAKER_09: Actually, yeah.
- 36:20SPEAKER_09: Or do you want to just No, I'll just I'll I'll just copy it from here and uh go from here.
- 36:26SPEAKER_09: Actually, it'll be a lot easier because uh this is actually a clean sheet.
- 36:29SPEAKER_09: Right.
- 36:30SPEAKER_09: So Okay.
- 36:31SPEAKER_15: Uh okay, so we'll have that done, and Bob will uh read your picks and Ilsa's picks next week and maybe cousin Larry's picks.
- 36:38SPEAKER_15: Yeah.
- 36:38SPEAKER_15: Yeah, if you can get that sent to him, that'll be.
- 36:40SPEAKER_15: I'll I'll I'll do that.
- 36:41SPEAKER_15: Um, so we'll do the the final four picks for the classic rock on the next podcast.
- 36:49SPEAKER_15: Uh that that's good.
- 36:51SPEAKER_15: All right.
- 36:51SPEAKER_15: So what else?
- 36:54SPEAKER_13: What else am I uh missing?
- 36:55SPEAKER_13: Am I missing something?
- 36:57SPEAKER_13: Dink you are.
- 36:58SPEAKER_13: You do?
- 36:59SPEAKER_13: I think so.
- 37:01SPEAKER_09: Because I I think it's almost time for that that magical part of the podcast.
- 37:05SPEAKER_16: Which which magical part would that be?
- 37:07SPEAKER_16: Well, all of it, but you know.
- 37:09SPEAKER_17: No, all of it's not magical.
- 37:12SPEAKER_17: It could be.
- 37:14SPEAKER_17: Nope.
- 37:15SPEAKER_17: Nope.
- 37:16SPEAKER_17: If we knew what we were doing, all of it's not magical.
- 37:19SPEAKER_09: And you want to sell you, you don't have to choose a told you.
- 37:24SPEAKER_09: It wasn't that part was not magical.
- 37:30SPEAKER_09: The non-Harry Parter part of this.
- 37:33SPEAKER_09: See, this this is this song, instead of being called a battery, should be called magical.
- 37:39SPEAKER_15: It's not called a battery.
- 37:43SPEAKER_15: It's called damage incorporated.
- 37:45SPEAKER_09: Oh, it's damage incorporated.
- 37:47SPEAKER_09: Sorry.
- 37:50SPEAKER_09: I just called the album covering that's just like so.
- 37:57SPEAKER_15: Did I get it I got it wrong?
- 38:00SPEAKER_15: What?
- 38:01SPEAKER_15: The timing here.
- 38:02SPEAKER_09: Yeah, you yeah.
- 38:03SPEAKER_15: That's okay.
- 38:08SPEAKER_16: What did uh what did Jeff say that you sounded like when you did an animal from Moa Fuck Jeff.
- 38:20SPEAKER_16: Alright.
- 38:22SPEAKER_15: So it's been a couple weeks.
- 38:23SPEAKER_15: I don't even remember what the question was.
- 38:25SPEAKER_15: Well, I will refresh your memory.
- 38:27SPEAKER_15: Okay.
- 38:27SPEAKER_15: I remember what the question was for the for this week.
- 38:31SPEAKER_13: Oh, you know, I'll explain, but what was the past one?
- 38:33SPEAKER_15: Oh did we did we did to give you a a message?
- 38:37SPEAKER_15: It is.
- 38:37SPEAKER_15: Okay.
- 38:40SPEAKER_15: Is this person, by the way, is this person younger than us?
- 38:43SPEAKER_16: Yeah.
- 38:44SPEAKER_15: Okay.
- 38:44SPEAKER_15: Like a lot younger?
- 38:46SPEAKER_09: I'd say a lot.
- 38:47SPEAKER_09: Okay, yeah.
- 38:50SPEAKER_09: Uh forgot where we were.
- 38:52SPEAKER_09: Okay.
- 38:54SPEAKER_09: Okay, so this is this was the road trip one.
- 39:00SPEAKER_09: Uh the first track of the road trip.
- 39:02SPEAKER_15: Oh yeah, and mine was like Wade Bowen or something, which nobody ever knew.
- 39:06SPEAKER_09: So, this is what she said.
- 39:08SPEAKER_09: This week was a tough pick, so the songs are great.
- 39:10SPEAKER_09: It would be a great first track for a road trip day.
- 39:13SPEAKER_09: You can't go wrong with ACDC when going on a road trip.
- 39:16SPEAKER_09: Chickenfoot, Bigfoot is hilarious and a good high-energy song.
- 39:19SPEAKER_09: But I really love the song when I woke up today.
- 39:22SPEAKER_09: I love the story in the lyrics.
- 39:24SPEAKER_09: Yeah, it's a cut of the cards, it's a roll of the dice when you're dealing with the pain of trying to make a dream fly, taking the good and the bad with a big smile on certain roads and the throw of the chase.
- 39:34SPEAKER_16: So I won again.
- 39:35SPEAKER_16: You did.
- 39:36SPEAKER_16: Wow.
- 39:36SPEAKER_15: So that's that's pretty cool because that's a song that not many people know, really.
- 39:41SPEAKER_15: I mean, that's why she's the judge.
- 39:43SPEAKER_15: I've been a I've been a Wade Bowen fan for a long, long time.
- 39:45SPEAKER_15: I've got actually, honestly, I have more Wade Bowen t-shirts than any other act.
- 39:51SPEAKER_09: It is true, I go.
- 39:52SPEAKER_09: I do.
- 39:53SPEAKER_09: It is true.
- 39:53SPEAKER_15: Um, anyway, I love that guy.
- 39:55SPEAKER_15: Oh, that's pretty cool.
- 39:56SPEAKER_15: That's it.
- 39:56SPEAKER_15: Since she picked that one, yeah.
- 39:58SPEAKER_15: She didn't say anything about the honorable mention, Radar Love by White Lion.
- 40:01SPEAKER_09: No.
- 40:01SPEAKER_09: I thought that was there was no mention.
- 40:03SPEAKER_15: Yeah.
- 40:04SPEAKER_15: Alright.
- 40:05SPEAKER_15: So this week.
- 40:07SPEAKER_09: So now we go to present.
- 40:09SPEAKER_09: And I find Cousin Larry.
- 40:13SPEAKER_09: Okay.
- 40:14SPEAKER_09: What was the question?
- 40:16SPEAKER_09: Oh yeah.
- 40:16SPEAKER_09: Uh, present question is if you had an amazing voice, what song would you have sung to your spouse at your wedding?
- 40:23SPEAKER_15: Okay.
- 40:24SPEAKER_15: Cousin Larry said.
- 40:25SPEAKER_09: Cousin Larry said.
- 40:26SPEAKER_09: Mixtape.
- 40:27SPEAKER_09: Well, thank God I'm an amazing singer inside the game because outside the foster talent passed me by, despite how much I love to sing and love music.
- 40:36SPEAKER_09: The song played at my wedding was from this moment on, but if I'm going to be singing, it's got to be Elvis.
- 40:42SPEAKER_09: Elvis's Can't Help Falling in Love.
- 40:44SPEAKER_09: That song is amazing.
- 40:46SPEAKER_09: Honorable mention to Maroon 5's Sugar, as my wife loves that song.
- 40:51SPEAKER_09: So.
- 40:51SPEAKER_13: All right.
- 40:53SPEAKER_15: Um getting uh the king cued up here.
- 40:57SPEAKER_15: Let's uh let's go.
- 41:01SPEAKER_15: Oh yeah.
- 41:02SPEAKER_15: Come on.
- 41:06SPEAKER_06: Why?
- 41:09SPEAKER_15: Okay, I have a I have a question.
- 41:11SPEAKER_15: Actually, I'll let this.
- 41:13SPEAKER_15: I'll let this play for a second.
- 41:32SPEAKER_15: Have a rules question.
- 41:35SPEAKER_15: We don't need no stinking rules.
- 41:37SPEAKER_15: So, for example, because cause this may screw up my pick.
- 41:40SPEAKER_15: Okay.
- 41:40SPEAKER_15: Um, can you read the question again?
- 41:44SPEAKER_09: If you had an amazing voice, what song would you have sung to your spouse at your wedding?
- 41:49SPEAKER_15: So, is it have it has to be a song that didn't come out recently?
- 41:55SPEAKER_15: Does it matter?
- 41:56SPEAKER_09: Doesn't matter.
- 41:57SPEAKER_15: It doesn't matter.
- 41:58SPEAKER_09: As far as I know, it doesn't matter.
- 41:59SPEAKER_15: Okay, good.
- 42:00SPEAKER_15: Because this song that I picked was n was not around when I got married.
- 42:05SPEAKER_15: Okay.
- 42:05SPEAKER_15: Okay, so let's just clarify that right now.
- 42:08SPEAKER_15: All right, so what's your pick?
- 42:09SPEAKER_09: Well, my pick was My One and Only Love by John Coltrane and Johnny Harmon.
- 42:20SPEAKER_13: All right.
- 42:24SPEAKER_13: Oh my.
- 42:59SPEAKER_15: An estimate.
- 43:03SPEAKER_15: I'm a minute in now.
- 43:10SPEAKER_15: I'm two minutes in now.
- 43:12SPEAKER_09: Okay, well done.
- 43:14SPEAKER_09: What about here?
- 43:22SPEAKER_06: Oh wow.
- 43:23SPEAKER_06: Makes my heart sleep like a pro and you appear in all your splendor.
- 43:43SPEAKER_06: My one I know.
- 43:49SPEAKER_15: You're an interesting dude.
- 43:51SPEAKER_15: I am you are and I and I mean that as a compliment.
- 43:55SPEAKER_15: Okay.
- 43:56SPEAKER_15: I do.
- 43:57SPEAKER_15: I thought something else.
- 43:58SPEAKER_15: No, no, no, no.
- 44:00SPEAKER_09: You're an interesting guy, God.
- 44:02SPEAKER_09: You're weird, but you're interesting.
- 44:03SPEAKER_15: No, no.
- 44:03SPEAKER_15: I mean that as a compliment because I mean I've known you for 40 years.
- 44:10SPEAKER_15: And you know, I know your taste in music is all over the place, right?
- 44:16SPEAKER_15: But I'm like my biggest memories of you are hardcore.
- 44:20SPEAKER_15: Like metal.
- 44:21SPEAKER_15: Yeah.
- 44:22SPEAKER_15: And and hip hop.
- 44:23SPEAKER_15: Mostly metal.
- 44:24SPEAKER_15: Yeah.
- 44:25SPEAKER_15: Right?
- 44:26SPEAKER_15: And I don't know how long ago it was that you got into jazz.
- 44:30SPEAKER_15: College.
- 44:31SPEAKER_15: Was it college?
- 44:32SPEAKER_09: Well, it it started off as uh some because they knew somebody who I was going to school with, was a drummer.
- 44:41SPEAKER_14: Yep.
- 44:42SPEAKER_09: So he gave me the Burning for Buddy CDs that Neil Peart did.
- 44:46SPEAKER_09: They did the all these different drummers did uh Buddy Rich songs.
- 44:50SPEAKER_11: Yep.
- 44:50SPEAKER_09: I was like, wow man, this is great.
- 44:52SPEAKER_09: And then so it turned into listening to Buddy Rich, which then turned into listening jazz, and then I was like, yeah, I was just I was hooked after that.
- 45:00SPEAKER_15: Right.
- 45:01SPEAKER_15: But no, it's it's cool.
- 45:02SPEAKER_15: It's endearing.
- 45:03SPEAKER_15: I mean it's it's it's pretty cool.
- 45:05SPEAKER_09: Well, it's definitely different.
- 45:05SPEAKER_09: I mean, it's it's hard to find other people that like jazz.
- 45:08SPEAKER_09: Sure.
- 45:08SPEAKER_15: So um alright, I think I'm changing my pick.
- 45:12SPEAKER_15: I think I'm changing my pick to stay within the um uh it had to be around for my wedding.
- 45:20SPEAKER_15: I'll I'll tell you what my original pick was.
- 45:24SPEAKER_15: My original pick was this just popped into my head when uh when I was listening to the the uh jazz thing that you the Johnny Coltry thing that you just did.
- 45:36SPEAKER_15: Uh my original pick is uh right here.
- 45:46SPEAKER_15: It's Chris Stapleton, Joy of My Life.
- 45:49SPEAKER_09: Oh, you're going by the fact that Chris Stapleton wasn't even this song wasn't even around when that's what I mean.
- 45:58SPEAKER_09: Okay, yeah.
- 45:59SPEAKER_09: I see what you say.
- 46:00SPEAKER_15: So so this will be my honorable mention.
- 46:02SPEAKER_09: Okay, yeah.
- 46:04SPEAKER_15: Because I'm repicking because I want to stick with something that was around when I got married.
- 46:10SPEAKER_15: But I love this song.
- 46:12SPEAKER_15: You are the joy of my life, right?
- 46:16SPEAKER_15: Damn, if I could sing like Chris Stapleton.
- 46:19SPEAKER_15: Shut up.
- 46:20SPEAKER_09: I know, I'd sing all the time.
- 46:21SPEAKER_08: Just come live.
- 46:25SPEAKER_08: I'm witness live.
- 46:29SPEAKER_15: Just let me let him say you're about the joy of my life once, and I'll switch it.
- 46:35SPEAKER_08: Sweet.
- 46:43SPEAKER_15: So once again, this is not my pick.
- 46:51SPEAKER_08: You are the Joe of my life.
- 46:54SPEAKER_15: But that was my pick.
- 46:55SPEAKER_15: But uh to stay within the Now has become the honorable mention.
- 46:58SPEAKER_15: Now has become the honorable mention.
- 46:59SPEAKER_15: Okay.
- 47:00SPEAKER_15: Okay, so this will be my pick.
- 47:03SPEAKER_15: And this is probably one that a song that nobody knows, just like my Wade Bowen one.
- 47:09SPEAKER_15: This is from Mark Cohn's first album.
- 47:11SPEAKER_15: Okay.
- 47:12SPEAKER_15: The one that had Walking in Memphis on it.
- 47:13SPEAKER_15: Yeah.
- 47:14SPEAKER_15: And this has this is called True Companion.
- 47:49SPEAKER_03: Can't see nothing different about myself.
- 47:53SPEAKER_03: Sometimes I'm an angel, and sometimes I'm cruel.
- 47:58SPEAKER_03: And when it comes to love, I'm just another fool.
- 48:05SPEAKER_03: I'm gonna swim the sea.
- 48:27SPEAKER_03: I'm asking you to be my true companion.
- 48:33SPEAKER_03: True companion.
- 48:37SPEAKER_03: True companion.
- 48:42SPEAKER_15: So yeah.
- 48:42SPEAKER_15: True companion Mark Cohn.
- 48:44SPEAKER_15: Nice.
- 48:44SPEAKER_15: Would be uh would be my pick.
- 48:46SPEAKER_15: I almost think I had that played at our wedding.
- 48:48SPEAKER_15: So don't you do it?
- 48:49SPEAKER_09: I don't remember.
- 48:50SPEAKER_15: I don't either.
- 48:50SPEAKER_15: Yeah.
- 48:50SPEAKER_15: I know that our I was a little fishnicked.
- 48:53SPEAKER_15: Our song was the song that we danced to was one that I wrote.
- 48:57SPEAKER_15: Right.
- 48:57SPEAKER_15: Yeah, it was I think I heard it not too long ago, and it was awful.
- 49:03SPEAKER_15: You know those tapes that we we play?
- 49:06SPEAKER_15: That was the quality.
- 49:07SPEAKER_15: Yeah.
- 49:07SPEAKER_15: It was awful.
- 49:08SPEAKER_09: Well, it wasn't, you know, late 90s.
- 49:10SPEAKER_15: It was.
- 49:10SPEAKER_15: And I was still learning.
- 49:12SPEAKER_15: Uh but that's my pick.
- 49:13SPEAKER_15: Mark Cohn, true companion, and yours is uh John and only love, Sean Coltrane and Johnny Hartman.
- 49:20SPEAKER_15: Right, and then Can't Help Falling in Love from Elvis Presley.
- 49:24SPEAKER_15: Those are the picks.
- 49:25SPEAKER_15: Alright, so the future.
- 49:27SPEAKER_09: Okay, here's an interesting one.
- 49:29SPEAKER_09: Uh your high school basketball team, because you know, we all played on course.
- 49:34SPEAKER_09: Yeah, we were ballers.
- 49:36SPEAKER_09: Um about to play in the state championship game at the as the heavy underdog.
- 49:41SPEAKER_09: What song do you play during warm-ups?
- 49:44SPEAKER_09: During warm-ups.
- 49:48SPEAKER_09: Cousin Larry has more of a hedge up on this one because he he's an actual athlete.
- 49:53SPEAKER_15: Yeah, so he played ball, he played ball.
- 49:55SPEAKER_09: He played everything.
- 49:56SPEAKER_15: Yeah.
- 49:59SPEAKER_15: Alright, I have to think about that one.
- 50:02SPEAKER_15: My my inkling is hey baby.
- 50:05SPEAKER_15: Hey baby.
- 50:07SPEAKER_15: Because we played in the band, but that's not really a warm-up song.
- 50:11SPEAKER_15: Not so much.
- 50:12SPEAKER_15: Not so much.
- 50:13SPEAKER_13: Uh alright, so that's mixtapes.
- 50:15SPEAKER_13: I gotta send this cousin Larry for this week.
- 50:17SPEAKER_13: Don't forget to send it to Cousin Larry! We are gonna take a break.
- 50:21SPEAKER_10: Cousin Larry! I'm sending it to you!
- 50:24SPEAKER_15: And uh, we'll be back.
- 50:27SPEAKER_15: We'll hear from the Beatles book, maybe, if you pick a song.
- 50:30SPEAKER_15: Possibly.
- 50:31SPEAKER_09: And we'll see what happens.
- 50:33SPEAKER_15: We will uh climb the wall of tunes.
- 50:35SPEAKER_09: Maybe.
- 50:35SPEAKER_09: Maybe.
- 50:36SPEAKER_13: We'll see.
- 50:36SPEAKER_13: If you're lucky, if you feel like it.
- 50:41SPEAKER_13: So please listen.

- 52:05SPEAKER_09: Alright.
- 52:06SPEAKER_09: Alright, here I go.
- 52:08SPEAKER_09: Here I go.
- 52:10SPEAKER_09: Do I take my headphones off, too?
- 52:12SPEAKER_09: You keep yours off.
- 52:13SPEAKER_09: Okay, whatever.
- 52:15SPEAKER_09: Control freak.
- 52:17SPEAKER_09: Uh so the book, uh, the song of the book.
- 52:22SPEAKER_09: The book the book song, the songbook, Got to Get You Into My Life, Got to Get You Into My Life, was written by Paul, who had the idea of using brass in an attempt to emulate the Motown sound recently developed by Holland Dozier Holland with the Supremes.
- 52:41SPEAKER_09: John believed by by mentioning another kind of mind in the lyrics, Paul was alluding to his drug experiences.
- 52:50SPEAKER_09: He has since confirmed that he was.
- 52:53SPEAKER_09: So, there you go.
- 52:54SPEAKER_09: He may have been the first lat the last Beatle to experiment with the drug, but he was the first to talk about it.
- 53:01SPEAKER_09: His revelation to a journalist from Life magazine made headline news around the world.
- 53:06SPEAKER_09: He later revealed that he'd already tripped on acid four times.
- 53:11SPEAKER_09: On June 19, 1967, a British TV reporter asked whether it would have been better to keep his drug taking private.
- 53:19SPEAKER_09: Quote, I was asked a question by a reporter by a newspaper, and the decision was whether to tell a lie or tell the truth, he said.
- 53:27SPEAKER_09: I decided to tell him the truth, but if I had had my way, I would have told any anyone because I'm not trying to spread the word about this.
- 53:35SPEAKER_09: I'll keep it a personal thing if he does too.
- 53:38SPEAKER_09: But he wanted to spread it, so it's his responsibility for spreading it, not mine.
- 53:43SPEAKER_15: There you go.
- 53:44SPEAKER_09: Unquote.
- 53:44SPEAKER_15: Yeah.
- 53:45SPEAKER_09: So that's it.
- 53:46SPEAKER_13: That's it.
- 53:46SPEAKER_15: Let's turn that up a little bit.
- 53:48SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 53:48SPEAKER_04: Great song.
- 53:50SPEAKER_04: What can I do?
- 53:51SPEAKER_04: What can I be when I'm with you?
- 53:53SPEAKER_04: I want to stay.
- 54:00SPEAKER_15: Much as I love Earth Wind and Fire, I like the original version better.
- 54:03SPEAKER_15: Because Earth Wind and Fire did a cool version of this too.
- 54:05SPEAKER_15: Oh yeah, that's right.
- 54:38SPEAKER_15: That of course is from Revolver.
- 54:42SPEAKER_15: Yeah, you can and you can tell, you know, you can tell between a Paul McCartney song and the John Lennon song.
- 54:48SPEAKER_15: Oh yeah.
- 54:48SPEAKER_15: Even though it says Lennon McCartney, you you can it's always one or the other.
- 54:52SPEAKER_09: Yeah, oh yeah.
- 54:52SPEAKER_09: Yeah.
- 54:52SPEAKER_09: Yeah, you can tell.
- 54:53SPEAKER_09: Especially in the later days.
- 54:54SPEAKER_09: I mean they were you know ear early it was it was Lennon McCartney, but then later they just just out of convenience they just kept it Lennon McCartney.
- 55:03SPEAKER_15: Yeah.
- 55:04SPEAKER_15: And then you you know they started kind of uh for lack of a better word, competing with each other.
- 55:10SPEAKER_15: Yeah, I mean they had their own styles.
- 55:11SPEAKER_15: One-upping each other or trying to anyway.
- 55:13SPEAKER_15: Exactly.
- 55:14SPEAKER_15: Yeah, no, yeah, you can always tell.
- 55:16SPEAKER_15: Uh all right, I have an album for the Wall of Tunes.
- 55:20SPEAKER_15: So uh let the guessing begin.
- 55:23SPEAKER_09: I'm gonna do something different this week.
- 55:25SPEAKER_09: Uh oh.
- 55:25SPEAKER_09: I'm not gonna care.
- 55:27SPEAKER_16: Alright.
- 55:27SPEAKER_16: Thanks everybody.
- 55:28SPEAKER_16: All right, I'll see you later.
- 55:29SPEAKER_16: 34 As you can see, I don't care that you don't care.
- 55:35SPEAKER_16: Let's just move on.
- 55:35SPEAKER_16: Well, I don't care that you don't care that I don't care.
- 55:39SPEAKER_17: Take that a man?
- 55:42SPEAKER_17: Is it a man?
- 55:43SPEAKER_17: No.
- 55:46SPEAKER_17: Solomon.
- 55:47SPEAKER_17: Solomon.
- 56:16SPEAKER_15: I'm gonna say in the nineties, because I think he first came out in the nineties and he made a huge flash with his first couple of weeks and was like, Is it Mark going again?
- 56:25SPEAKER_15: Nope.
- 56:25SPEAKER_15: Nope.
- 56:26SPEAKER_15: He was getting all kinds of awards from the blues association and Grammys.
- 56:30SPEAKER_15: He was getting Grammys.
- 56:30SPEAKER_09: Oh, is it Johnny Lang?
- 56:32SPEAKER_15: Nope.
- 56:32SPEAKER_09: Is it Kenny Wayne Shepard?
- 56:33SPEAKER_09: Nope.
- 56:34SPEAKER_09: Okay.
- 56:35SPEAKER_09: Nope.
- 56:36SPEAKER_09: Did you play guitar?
- 56:41SPEAKER_15: Not uh not the kind of blues guitar that Johnny Lang and Kenny Wayne Shepard play.
- 56:47SPEAKER_09: Is it more traditional blues?
- 56:48SPEAKER_09: Yeah.
- 56:49SPEAKER_09: Delta blues kind of thing.
- 56:51SPEAKER_15: Uh yes and no.
- 56:54SPEAKER_09: It's more we go do your fogy blues thing.
- 56:56SPEAKER_15: Yeah, well it's it's kind of contemporary blues, but with a a slant towards the traditional.
- 57:03SPEAKER_15: He does hit like on every album.
- 57:05SPEAKER_15: No on every album he does uh at least one song where it's just him and a resonator guitar.
- 57:15SPEAKER_15: And he's done a lot of rubber.
- 57:34SPEAKER_15: Yes, it's C6 D.
- 57:36SPEAKER_15: No, I'm just kidding.
- 57:37SPEAKER_15: Have you ever heard of C6D?
- 57:40SPEAKER_15: C6.
- 57:41SPEAKER_15: C6.
- 57:43SPEAKER_15: He's a blues guy.
- 57:45SPEAKER_15: Plays like a two-string guitar or something like that.
- 57:50SPEAKER_09: Really?
- 57:50SPEAKER_09: Yeah.
- 57:52SPEAKER_09: Is it really C Sick or I think it's just a clever name?
- 57:57SPEAKER_09: C Sick.
- 58:02SPEAKER_15: Do I do I want to uh go down that rabbit hole?
- 58:06SPEAKER_15: Hold on.
- 58:07SPEAKER_15: C six Steve.
- 58:08SPEAKER_15: Let's see.
- 58:09SPEAKER_15: I just want to give you an in C six Steve.
- 58:11SPEAKER_15: Uh is that him right there?
- 58:13SPEAKER_15: That's him right there.
- 58:13SPEAKER_15: Hold on, let me uh he looks the part.
- 58:15SPEAKER_15: Yeah.
- 58:17SPEAKER_15: Uh it's cool.
- 58:18SPEAKER_15: So his his stuff is cool.
- 58:19SPEAKER_15: Um but yeah, he's he's uh kind of winning a pole.
- 58:47SPEAKER_15: That's actually that's easily the most produced C six Steve song I've ever heard.
- 58:52SPEAKER_15: Because he's usually just him and uh like a like a box guitar, the diddly bow.
- 58:58SPEAKER_15: Hold on.
- 59:00SPEAKER_15: This is this is what he what his concerts are like.
- 59:04SPEAKER_15: See, I mean it's like a homemade guitar.
- 59:14SPEAKER_15: Anyway.
- 59:15SPEAKER_15: There, I educated you a little bit.
- 59:17SPEAKER_15: It is not C6T.
- 59:18SPEAKER_09: Wow, I mean he's he's pulling down some hot chicks at his show.
- 59:21SPEAKER_15: Yeah, I saw that too.
- 59:23SPEAKER_09: The Fragman.
- 59:25SPEAKER_09: Uh okay, I I need some more hints then.
- 59:28SPEAKER_15: Um He's done a lot of guest appearances on other people's albums.
- 59:40SPEAKER_15: Um There's not a person a person in the business that I know that that doesn't speak highly of him.
- 59:51SPEAKER_15: He's just a cool cat.
- 59:55SPEAKER_15: I have a lot of albums.
- 1:00:10SPEAKER_15: Like shh, shortened his real name.
- 1:00:14SPEAKER_15: And his real name is Kevin Moore.
- 1:00:23SPEAKER_09: Oh, is it Mo Cab?
- 1:00:24SPEAKER_09: Kevin Moore.
- 1:00:26SPEAKER_09: It's Ket Mo.
- 1:00:26SPEAKER_09: Okay.
- 1:00:28SPEAKER_16: Mo Kab.
- 1:00:28SPEAKER_16: Is it Mo Cab?
- 1:00:29SPEAKER_16: Mo Kab! I was really excited.
- 1:00:31SPEAKER_16: Yeah, Kemmo.
- 1:00:33SPEAKER_15: No, Doug, you're wrong.
- 1:00:34SPEAKER_15: It's it's it's not Mo Cab.
- 1:00:38SPEAKER_14: Alright.
- 1:00:38SPEAKER_15: So it is this one right here.
- 1:00:42SPEAKER_15: This is uh from two years ago, through three years ago.
- 1:00:46SPEAKER_15: This is Ketmo Good To Be.
- 1:00:48SPEAKER_09: It's always good to be, Ketmo.
- 1:00:51SPEAKER_15: And let's see, which one do I want to play?
- 1:00:53SPEAKER_15: I'll just play the title track right here.
- 1:00:56SPEAKER_15: You see what I mean by blues and folk?
- 1:00:59SPEAKER_15: Yeah.
- 1:00:59SPEAKER_15: So would you agree?
- 1:01:00SPEAKER_09: Oh, yeah, yeah.
- 1:01:01SPEAKER_15: Yeah, contemporary blues and folk.
- 1:01:03SPEAKER_09: Yes.
- 1:01:03SPEAKER_15: It's Ketmo.
- 1:01:04SPEAKER_09: You were you were right on about that.
- 1:01:05SPEAKER_15: Yeah.
- 1:01:09SPEAKER_15: And I know we've done it before, so I don't think we've done this album.
- 1:01:12SPEAKER_09: No, probably not, but I think it's been a while since we back on the black.
- 1:01:19SPEAKER_05: Back in the hood.
- 1:01:22SPEAKER_05: Who would have known that it would feel so good?
- 1:01:26SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 1:01:26SPEAKER_05: There he is.
- 1:01:27SPEAKER_05: Everybody has a know.
- 1:01:28SPEAKER_17: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:01:29SPEAKER_05: Done going away.
- 1:01:32SPEAKER_05: But the neighborhood is still the same.
- 1:01:38SPEAKER_05: This is the place that made me strong.
- 1:01:43SPEAKER_05: I got a whole lot of memories of it.
- 1:01:46SPEAKER_05: Just going to love laid back kind of stuff.
- 1:01:48SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 1:01:49SPEAKER_05: It's good to be here.
- 1:01:52SPEAKER_05: It's good to be anywhere.
- 1:01:54SPEAKER_05: It's good to be back.
- 1:01:56SPEAKER_05: Good to be home again.
- 1:02:00SPEAKER_05: It's good to be home.
- 1:02:02SPEAKER_05: It's good to be.
- 1:02:04SPEAKER_05: Good to be home.
- 1:02:05SPEAKER_05: Good to be old.
- 1:02:07SPEAKER_05: Good to be home again.
- 1:02:10SPEAKER_14: Um so let's see.
- 1:02:19SPEAKER_14: Uh trying to see if I'm gonna hop in the car.
- 1:02:24SPEAKER_05: Go downtown.
- 1:02:26SPEAKER_15: Most of this album was co-produced by Vince Gill.
- 1:02:31SPEAKER_15: This is one sunny and warm.
- 1:02:37SPEAKER_15: So this isn't really blues, this is more like more like a Yappinar.
- 1:02:42SPEAKER_09: It ain't really good.
- 1:02:43SPEAKER_09: It really kinda is.
- 1:02:46SPEAKER_05: I'm gonna sit down by the sea.
- 1:02:51SPEAKER_05: Life's gonna be just a little bit slower.
- 1:02:56SPEAKER_05: Maybe this year she'll notice me.
- 1:02:59SPEAKER_15: Alright, I'm gonna play a little bit of this one.
- 1:03:02SPEAKER_15: This is a very country.
- 1:03:06SPEAKER_15: Darius Rucker sings on this one.
- 1:03:08SPEAKER_15: Alright.
- 1:03:11SPEAKER_05: Listen to me.
- 1:03:12SPEAKER_05: That girl is D-R-O-E-E-L-E.
- 1:03:16SPEAKER_05: So watch out.
- 1:03:18SPEAKER_05: I know you love her, but she's not your friend.
- 1:03:21SPEAKER_05: She'll only be there long as you got money to spend.
- 1:03:25SPEAKER_05: I can be kinda hard on the back.
- 1:03:32SPEAKER_05: You're gonna be the back.
- 1:03:51SPEAKER_15: And then of course of course there's what's this?
- 1:04:00SPEAKER_09: Sounds really familiar.
- 1:04:09SPEAKER_09: Oh, it's uh well you know I mean it is.
- 1:04:12SPEAKER_11: Yep.
- 1:04:18SPEAKER_05: And we all have it.
- 1:04:24SPEAKER_05: We all have uh if we are white, we know the thing.
- 1:04:36SPEAKER_05: Always to my room.
- 1:04:39SPEAKER_05: Leave on me.
- 1:04:41SPEAKER_05: Alright.
- 1:04:44SPEAKER_05: I'll be your friend.
- 1:04:46SPEAKER_15: So we all know this one.
- 1:04:48SPEAKER_15: So I want to share with you the um a song that's not on this album.
- 1:04:52SPEAKER_15: Uh that's actually one of my favorite things that Kev Moe has ever done.
- 1:04:55SPEAKER_15: Uh I love this song.
- 1:04:56SPEAKER_15: This is uh song by Bob Seeger that Lyle Love It and Kev Moe covered.
- 1:05:04SPEAKER_15: Uh I think it was on a L Love It album.
- 1:05:06SPEAKER_15: But uh At Progressive.
- 1:05:08SPEAKER_15: Actually, it might have been in a movie.
- 1:05:10SPEAKER_15: Uh not a progressive movie.
- 1:05:12SPEAKER_15: Uh Have you ever heard this song?
- 1:05:18SPEAKER_15: Till It Shines by the sound of the line.
- 1:05:21SPEAKER_15: Oh, I love this song.
- 1:05:31SPEAKER_04: Take away my energy.
- 1:05:36SPEAKER_04: Take away my
