- 0:05Speaker 1: And now, the mob guys creak or yell easy.
- 0:25Speaker 2: That's right.
- 0:29Speaker 3: There's the mob guys. Well, at least one of the
- 0:47Speaker 3: mob guys.
- 0:48Speaker 4: My name is Craig Kotlin.
- 0:50Speaker 5: Wayne Dolcefino is on special assignment. We will be at
- 0:54Speaker 5: Texas Faith Fest on Friday for the two-hour radio show
- 0:59Speaker 5: that we do from 7 to 9. I'll then be
- 1:00Speaker 5: there a lot more. I think Wayne's got some other
- 1:04Speaker 5: stuff he's got to do after our show. He's a
- 1:07Speaker 5: very busy dude. He travels a lot. But I'll even
- 1:09Speaker 5: be there again on Saturday for a while. So if
- 1:11Speaker 5: you're going to the Texas Faith Festival in Austin, you
- 1:15Speaker 5: should try to find me and say hi, especially during
- 1:18Speaker 5: our two-hour radio show that you probably can't access. I'm
- 1:21Speaker 5: assuming we'll be in a part of the convention that
- 1:23Speaker 5: people can't get to till, you know, after we're done,
- 1:26Speaker 5: which is probably a good thing, if I'm being honest,
- 1:29Speaker 5: because radio is, you know, important to do a certain way.
- 1:32Speaker 5: But nonetheless, like, I'm looking forward to it. It is
- 1:35Speaker 5: interesting that it'll be happening in Austin because of what
- 1:38Speaker 5: happened earlier this past week or over the weekend with
- 1:42Speaker 5: the ice-involved shooting, and I have an update on that.
- 1:45Speaker 5: Mostly the update is visual, so I will play it
- 1:48Speaker 5: on our social media channels. We are live on... Rumble
- 1:52Speaker 5: and YouTube and X, so you can watch the show
- 1:55Speaker 5: in any of those places. You can find the live
- 1:58Speaker 5: YouTube show on our website, ksvradio.com now. My favorite, the
- 2:03Speaker 5: Amigos used to say that on their Friday show, like,
- 2:05Speaker 5: go watch the show on ksvradio.com, and you couldn't before,
- 2:09Speaker 5: but you can now. We've updated the website, and that
- 2:12Speaker 5: does work. ksvradio.com if you want to watch. Also, our app,
- 2:16Speaker 5: you can click the Watch button and watch the YouTube
- 2:19Speaker 5: page directly within the app, so you can do that
- 2:21Speaker 5: on a Google Play Store or the Apple App Store
- 2:26Speaker 5: if you download KSCV Radio's thing. So you'll see the
- 2:29Speaker 5: update I have. But in the world of the shooting
- 2:31Speaker 5: and this ICE-involved thing that happened in Austin, there's a
- 2:35Speaker 5: pretty significant change from one narrative to another that video
- 2:40Speaker 5: evidence is demonstrating did not happen the way that the
- 2:44Speaker 5: person who was shot claimed or his attorney claimed or
- 2:47Speaker 5: a lot of people who are protesting claim. The narrative
- 2:50Speaker 5: they tell you is that an unmarked vehicle that never
- 2:54Speaker 5: identifies itself goes after somebody driving a separate car. During
- 2:59Speaker 5: that interaction, the person in the vehicle who inevitably winds
- 3:02Speaker 5: up fleeing never understood the people were cops, like they
- 3:06Speaker 5: never knew. There's no reason for them to have thought
- 3:09Speaker 5: that it was ICE. They thought it was someone who
- 3:11Speaker 5: was trying to, you know, steal stuff from them. When
- 3:14Speaker 5: that narrative gets defeated, when the video comes out that
- 3:17Speaker 5: demonstrates that that's a load of crap, it does help
- 3:21Speaker 5: people understand that a lot of the messaging on the
- 3:25Speaker 5: left is false. And so I love video for this.
- 3:28Speaker 5: I'll tell you that again and again and again. I've
- 3:31Speaker 5: set that up enough and I'm not even going to
- 3:33Speaker 5: play it. I'm going to play something else first and
- 3:34Speaker 5: then we're going to play that because this is more
- 3:36Speaker 5: radio friendly. This is James Tallarico saying police officers in schools.
- 3:42Speaker 4: Are bad for schools.
- 3:44Speaker 5: One of the many things that Tallarico says that most
- 3:47Speaker 5: Texans don't agree with. I think resource officers, police officers
- 3:52Speaker 5: inside of schools make schools safer. I think that you
- 3:56Speaker 5: create hard targets when traditionally bad guys expect them to
- 4:00Speaker 5: be soft targets, and that makes them safer. What I
- 4:04Speaker 5: mean by that is having a few people willing to
- 4:06Speaker 5: protect a school that are armed inside of a school
- 4:09Speaker 5: makes a coward unlikely to attack it. And a lot
- 4:13Speaker 5: of the people who do these horrible things are in
- 4:15Speaker 5: fact also cowards. My favorite example of that recently was
- 4:19Speaker 5: the guy who started shooting people in public, and then
- 4:22Speaker 5: a Good Samaritan returned fire, and the coward immediately ran
- 4:26Speaker 5: away and I think shot himself. The person who was
- 4:28Speaker 5: trying to kill other people immediately sort of fled. You
- 4:32Speaker 5: see that behavior all the time. These horrible people want
- 4:35Speaker 5: to be the only person in a room with a weapon,
- 4:37Speaker 5: and the minute they're not, they don't cause anywhere near
- 4:39Speaker 5: the harm that they intend to cause when they don't
- 4:42Speaker 5: get fire back. And so schools and police officers absolutely,
- 4:48Speaker 5: need to be tougher targets and need to have involvement
- 4:51Speaker 5: with armed individuals. Here's Tallarico saying.
- 4:54Speaker 4: No to that.
- 4:55Speaker 6: Adding more police officers to our schools, adding more guns
- 4:59Speaker 6: to our classrooms. only adversely impacts our most vulnerable students,
- 5:04Speaker 6: in particular our black and brown students. And so although
- 5:08Speaker 6: folks want to kind of jump to an emotional response,
- 5:11Speaker 6: like putting police officers in every classroom, that, according to
- 5:15Speaker 6: the research, is going to make our students less safe,
- 5:17Speaker 6: not more safe.
- 5:18Speaker 4: No, it's completely, completely wrong.
- 5:20Speaker 5: And I love when you couch it in the research, too,
- 5:23Speaker 5: when Tallarica's like, everything I've seen tells me that this
- 5:26Speaker 5: is untrue. Part of the reason why is we don't
- 5:28Speaker 5: have enough data to demonstrate the safety of the places
- 5:32Speaker 5: where there's an assumption of a weapon, meaning that if
- 5:36Speaker 5: most schools had armed individuals in them throughout the country,
- 5:40Speaker 5: not just here in Texas but a lot of other places,
- 5:43Speaker 5: the reality is we'd see far less school shootings, and
- 5:46Speaker 5: that data needs to be analyzed correctly. If there is
- 5:49Speaker 5: no incident, you don't necessarily report that information to the
- 5:53Speaker 5: people trying to prove that incidents only happen when guns
- 5:57Speaker 5: are involved.
- 5:58Speaker 4: Which is something I love a lot.
- 6:00Speaker 5: The flaw in the logic of, look at the amount
- 6:02Speaker 5: of bad things that happen in this place because there's
- 6:05Speaker 5: a gun here. And then all the stuff that doesn't
- 6:07Speaker 5: happen in this other place where there is no gun.
- 6:10Speaker 5: Our society also right now, by and large, prefers, and
- 6:14Speaker 5: they're wrong about this, and Tallarico's wrong about this, the
- 6:17Speaker 5: no gun option, the not having armed police officers or
- 6:22Speaker 5: security individuals inside schools. And so the only places that
- 6:25Speaker 5: really do relent and inevitably have them are the places
- 6:29Speaker 5: that are dangerous already. I would love to see more
- 6:32Speaker 5: studies that demonstrate the increase or decrease individually in locations
- 6:39Speaker 5: that they went from a non-armed individual to an armed
- 6:42Speaker 5: individual inside of a school. Because there's going to be
- 6:45Speaker 5: a lot of schools that have really bad behavior issues
- 6:48Speaker 5: that put armed individuals inside those schools that see things
- 6:52Speaker 5: get immediately better in a lot of cases.
- 6:55Speaker 4: But this really isn't about.
- 6:57Speaker 5: day-to-day dealing with, say, bad things that are happening within
- 7:03Speaker 5: the school.
- 7:03Speaker 4: I know that sounds crazy to say it that way,
- 7:05Speaker 4: but it's true.
- 7:06Speaker 5: The real value in having individuals that protect your schools
- 7:10Speaker 5: is to prevent the horrible stories that you see virally
- 7:14Speaker 5: go all over the place on television when something catastrophic happens.
- 7:18Speaker 5: You want to prevent those things from ever happening again.
- 7:21Speaker 5: And if we had armed individuals inside schools throughout the country,
- 7:24Speaker 5: we'd barely ever see a crazy person roll up to
- 7:27Speaker 5: a school and try to hurt people.
- 7:29Speaker 4: I want to play this now, as I said.
- 7:30Speaker 5: And I think I did a pretty decent job of
- 7:33Speaker 5: setting it up. This is brand new footage that has
- 7:36Speaker 5: been supplied to a few different places. Most of this
- 7:40Speaker 5: is security cameras that a security company, I think, was
- 7:44Speaker 5: able to gain access to and then provide to some
- 7:47Speaker 5: media outlets in Austin that shows the pursuit of Wilbur Perez,
- 7:52Speaker 5: the illegal Venezuelan who had a A last notice of extradition.
- 7:57Speaker 5: The reason that ICE was after him is that he
- 7:59Speaker 5: was told definitively he had to leave and he did
- 8:02Speaker 5: not leave this country. But anyway, you see and you
- 8:06Speaker 5: can hear. That's the reason I'm going to play it
- 8:08Speaker 5: on the radio, too. You could hear the police siren.
- 8:11Speaker 5: You can see the lights, the cars that are chasing
- 8:14Speaker 5: this guy who is fleeing as fast as he can
- 8:16Speaker 5: away before whatever interaction occurs that involves him being shot,
- 8:21Speaker 5: which we don't have additional video of. But even the
- 8:24Speaker 5: pursuit itself, you see a completely different thing than what
- 8:28Speaker 5: they were claiming happened. The claim was unmarked vehicles that
- 8:32Speaker 5: never identified themselves, scared the crap out of a guy
- 8:35Speaker 5: who thought he was getting robbed, thought he was, you know,
- 8:38Speaker 5: being attacked by bad people. That is not what this
- 8:41Speaker 5: video demonstrates. Again, the best thing you'll hear is the sirens,
- 8:46Speaker 5: but if you're watching on any of our social media channels,
- 8:48Speaker 5: you'll actually be able to see it as well. There's
- 9:02Speaker 5: one vehicle there, as you can hear, of course. And
- 9:04Speaker 5: we can see another vehicle there. Lights flashing.
- 9:07Speaker 4: More video.
- 9:08Speaker 7: There is a pop-up that pops up that shows you
- 9:10Speaker 7: the individual's car is fleeing.
- 9:11Speaker 5: And then you hear the sirens.
- 9:13Speaker 8: You see the sirens.
- 9:14Speaker 4: You can tell that the people pursuing him are police.
- 9:31Speaker 4: Or in this case, ICE.
- 9:33Speaker 5: When people tell you, and I know for the radio listeners,
- 9:36Speaker 5: for anybody that, hopefully there's a whole bunch of you
- 9:38Speaker 5: out there that listen just on the radio, all you
- 9:41Speaker 5: hear is that siren. But this does profoundly change to
- 9:45Speaker 5: me a core aspect of the narrative necessary on the
- 9:49Speaker 5: left to claim that ICE is a bunch of thugs.
- 9:52Speaker 5: They're a bunch of terrible people who do horrible things
- 9:54Speaker 5: and never, ever follow the laws and rules the way.
- 9:57Speaker 4: They're designed to be. That's their narrative.
- 10:00Speaker 5: One of the things they use to perpetuate that belief
- 10:03Speaker 5: is that ICE does things that regular people would be
- 10:06Speaker 5: confused by, that everyday individuals, not someone who's already aware,
- 10:11Speaker 5: say they're here illegally, and that if they're being pursued
- 10:14Speaker 5: high speed by a vehicle behind them, There's a chance
- 10:17Speaker 5: that's ice already. But nonetheless, anyone just getting bashed into
- 10:22Speaker 5: by an unmarked car would have every right to think
- 10:24Speaker 5: that that car is not necessarily cops. But these people
- 10:28Speaker 5: are using and they're not crashing into him. They're pursuing
- 10:31Speaker 5: him at high speeds. But they're using, you know, flashing
- 10:34Speaker 5: lights and sirens and all the things that are typical
- 10:37Speaker 5: of police. And there's there's more than one vehicle doing this.
- 10:42Speaker 5: And if you ask me one last thing and I'll
- 10:44Speaker 5: say this, I know we have to take a break.
- 10:46Speaker 5: on why ICE doesn't drive around in a bunch of
- 10:48Speaker 5: vehicles that look identical to police vehicles, meaning they have
- 10:52Speaker 5: ICE branded all over it, it's because lunatics on the
- 10:55Speaker 5: left would attack those cars. They simply can't drive those
- 10:58Speaker 5: cars in places because of how our society would treat
- 11:02Speaker 5: people if they knew they were ICE to begin with,
- 11:05Speaker 5: which is a very different problem and one ICE itself
- 11:09Speaker 5: did not create, one that our media created. If you
- 11:12Speaker 5: left them alone as they tried to do their job,
- 11:16Speaker 5: they wouldn't have to hide their faces from you and
- 11:19Speaker 5: the people who want to dox them and kill them
- 11:21Speaker 5: just for being members of ICE. So there's a true
- 11:24Speaker 5: message there that I think fairly often is just completely ignored.
- 11:31Speaker 5: But nonetheless, the big break in that story involving the police,
- 11:35Speaker 5: the ICE shooting in Austin, and the individual did survive,
- 11:38Speaker 5: he did not die, which might be part of the
- 11:40Speaker 5: reason we're seeing less protesting than we might have seen otherwise.
- 11:45Speaker 5: Part of that narrative has been fully disproven by video evidence,
- 11:49Speaker 5: which is the best way to do this and.
- 11:51Speaker 4: Why we need a bunch more of it on the
- 11:53Speaker 4: ICE agents themselves. All right, quick break. A lot coming up.
- 11:57Speaker 5: This is KSEV Mornings on The Voice of Texas, 700 a.m.

- 13:06Speaker 7: Do you need money? Want to lower your monthly debt?
- 13:09Speaker 7: Are you thinking about a cash out refinance? Hi, it's
- 13:12Speaker 7: Kathy from Baker Mortgage. A cash out refinance can get
- 13:16Speaker 7: you back in your comfort zone and that's what it's
- 13:18Speaker 7: all about. A recent client who closed with us had
- 13:21Speaker 7: his payment go up about $ 300, but his monthly outgo
- 13:26Speaker 7: was being reduced by $ 1, 200, so giving him a net
- 13:29Speaker 7: positive cash flow of $ 900. It's not about adding debt,
- 13:33Speaker 7: but restructuring it in a way that makes sense. And
- 13:36Speaker 7: this math totally makes sense. And please don't sweat it
- 13:39Speaker 7: if your interest rate is going up a little or
- 13:42Speaker 7: if you're extending the term. I can show you by
- 13:44Speaker 7: taking a small amount of what you're saving monthly and
- 13:47Speaker 7: applying it towards your mortgage, you're going to pay it
- 13:50Speaker 7: off just as quickly and you'll be way ahead in
- 13:53Speaker 7: the money game, which is where we all want to be, right? Remember,
- 13:56Speaker 7: we want to help you. But we're not going to
- 13:58Speaker 7: help you over a cliff. Baker Mortgage, 281-313-MOVE or go

- 14:22Speaker 12: On KSCV, The Voice of Texas.
- 14:37Speaker 5: KSCV, 700 a.m., The Voice of Texas, and this is
- 14:42Speaker 5: The Mob Guys.
- 14:43Speaker 4: My name is Craig Colonese. He is Wayne Dolcefino.
- 14:46Speaker 5: We come to you every single day, Monday through Friday
- 14:48Speaker 5: from 7 to 9 o'clock, your brand-new morning show on
- 14:52Speaker 5: The Voice of Texas. Wayne will be back on Friday.
- 14:54Speaker 5: I want to play some audio that's gone, to me,
- 14:57Speaker 5: pretty viral. This is audio of an individual who practices
- 15:00Speaker 5: Sharia law in Texas. I guess he's a guy that
- 15:03Speaker 5: pops up on a bunch of podcasts and things. And
- 15:07Speaker 5: the reason the audio is going viral is I think
- 15:09Speaker 5: it plays into a lot of fears people have of
- 15:12Speaker 5: the actual desire of people who want to change the
- 15:17Speaker 5: way things exist here in the United States. And there's
- 15:19Speaker 5: going to be several moments in this audio where I
- 15:22Speaker 5: can attack things that I think would be unfair to attack.
- 15:25Speaker 5: And there's also several moments in this audio where I
- 15:28Speaker 5: think there's things I desperately need to attack because they're terrifying,
- 15:32Speaker 5: not just to me, but hopefully terrifying to a lot
- 15:35Speaker 5: of people. And I'll be honest about something else before
- 15:37Speaker 5: I even hit play on this. The entire discussion about
- 15:42Speaker 5: Sharia law and whether, and it's banned in Texas, of course,
- 15:46Speaker 5: and whether or not that's the kind of thing that
- 15:47Speaker 5: more people want to force on others, like the entire
- 15:50Speaker 5: debate about that, is something that's always been challenging for
- 15:54Speaker 5: me to really dive deep into. And the reason why,
- 15:57Speaker 5: not just because I'm a Catholic, is because I just,
- 16:01Speaker 5: let's call it naively believe that most of us would
- 16:05Speaker 5: reject these kind of things and they'd never succeed in
- 16:07Speaker 5: getting to a place where this became a more prominent
- 16:10Speaker 5: thing that happens in our country. And one of those
- 16:12Speaker 5: examples will be used in there. Sharia law bans the
- 16:16Speaker 5: sale of alcohol, for example. That won't happen, is usually
- 16:20Speaker 5: my thinking here in the United States. But nonetheless, I
- 16:22Speaker 5: do want to do this topic. I know it's important
- 16:24Speaker 5: to a lot of people. And I think there's a
- 16:26Speaker 5: real value in hearing some of the discussion the way
- 16:30Speaker 5: it's had in places that are.
- 16:32Speaker 4: Assuming it's not also going to land on my show.
- 16:35Speaker 5: Like these are podcasts with friendly hosts where they're debating
- 16:39Speaker 5: the value and the benefit of the thing that they
- 16:41Speaker 5: want to do. So these types of audio moments used
- 16:46Speaker 5: to not exist as much and used to not exist
- 16:48Speaker 5: where people thought they were in a tunnel. And I
- 16:50Speaker 5: can take them out of that tunnel and put them
- 16:52Speaker 5: somewhere else. I can blow the lid off of a topic,
- 16:56Speaker 5: I guess is a way to say it, by featuring
- 16:58Speaker 5: it in a new place.
- 16:59Speaker 4: But I'll stop building it. Here we go.
- 17:01Speaker 15: Sharia law is banned in Texas.
- 17:03Speaker 5: That is a lie.
- 17:04Speaker 15: I'm practicing Sharia right now. You're practicing Sharia right now.
- 17:06Speaker 15: How I eat, how I dress is Sharia. You can't
- 17:09Speaker 15: ban Sharia. My drinking water is Sharia. My treating my
- 17:12Speaker 15: parents nicely is Sharia. You cannot ban Sharia if you
- 17:15Speaker 15: wanted to. We have to fight both of them. The
- 17:17Speaker 15: only way we're going to fight them If we come together,
- 17:20Speaker 15: that all of the brothers are one brotherhood, one group
- 17:23Speaker 15: of people. Join us and vote these evil politicians out.
- 17:26Speaker 15: And bring people that will help our communities thrive.
- 17:30Speaker 5: It is an obligation when you're able to, to implement
- 17:33Speaker 5: Islam as Allah.
- 17:34Speaker 16: Has revealed it.
- 17:35Speaker 15: Do you want to apply Allah's sharia?
- 17:37Speaker 16: Of course you want to apply Allah's sharia.
- 17:38Speaker 15: Going to the ballot and voting is now an obligatory action.
- 17:42Speaker 15: And it is a jihad that now needs to be
- 17:44Speaker 15: done because this is our modern jihad. You can elect
- 17:47Speaker 15: a person who wants the sharia. Us living here in
- 17:50Speaker 15: Western lands, part of our agenda, a part of our
- 17:53Speaker 15: shari'i huqooq, and Allah wants us to do this, is
- 17:56Speaker 15: to establish our version of laws.
- 17:59Speaker 4: In the society we live in.
- 18:01Speaker 15: We know that if we were to do this from
- 18:02Speaker 15: 0 to 100, the people are going to say, We're
- 18:06Speaker 15: not going to have this time. Look Afghanistan, look other places.
- 18:09Speaker 15: And people understand they're not going to go from 0
- 18:11Speaker 15: to 100 overnight. Suppose an Islamic party comes in and
- 18:16Speaker 15: they start changing. You know what? We want to make
- 18:19Speaker 15: sure there's no alcohol being sold. So can we, for
- 18:22Speaker 15: the time being, because here's the point, any type of
- 18:24Speaker 15: stuff we do, it's not astaghfirullah, astaghfirullah to substitute the sharia. No,
- 18:29Speaker 15: it's a program to eventually apply the sharia. Yeah.
- 18:32Speaker 4: And, you know, it's even more terrifying.
- 18:34Speaker 5: Tallarico has talked about the value system that he's found,
- 18:38Speaker 5: even though he claims to be a Christian, in studying
- 18:41Speaker 5: other religions and studying. And he's quoted things that land
- 18:45Speaker 5: closer and closer to Islam and Sharia and all of that.
- 18:48Speaker 5: I'm not saying that he actually practices any of that.
- 18:50Speaker 5: I'm saying that he he is trying to get people
- 18:52Speaker 5: that think this crazy stuff to vote for him. And
- 18:55Speaker 5: so what's the point of this discussion and what's the
- 18:58Speaker 5: part that I said is unfair to take a shot
- 19:00Speaker 5: at versus the part that is fair? The very beginning
- 19:02Speaker 5: of the audio when he says you can't ban Sharia
- 19:05Speaker 5: law because part of Sharia is treating your parents nicely.
- 19:10Speaker 14: Fine.
- 19:11Speaker 4: Like, that's fine. I can be OK with that.
- 19:13Speaker 5: If you think the reason that you treat your parents
- 19:16Speaker 5: nicely is a specific religion, because I, of course, think
- 19:20Speaker 5: my Catholic religion plays some part in how I.
- 19:23Speaker 4: Behave as a human, but also like. I don't know.
- 19:26Speaker 5: Show me the religion that tells you to treat your
- 19:28Speaker 5: parents like crap, because I think that makes no sense.
- 19:30Speaker 5: There's things I don't need to argue with because they're
- 19:33Speaker 5: sort of silly to be couched in his belief system
- 19:36Speaker 5: and not in just the basic kindness of society. But
- 19:40Speaker 5: there's a lot of other things that he says, and
- 19:42Speaker 5: he barely scratches the surface of all of the negatives of, say,
- 19:46Speaker 5: Sharia law not being our laws that people follow, but
- 19:49Speaker 5: there own religious based ones taking over, especially the end
- 19:54Speaker 5: of the video. And it's it's for people not watching
- 19:56Speaker 5: on social media. It's clipped up three or four different
- 19:59Speaker 5: places put together of of different interviews that the same
- 20:03Speaker 5: individual has done who lives here in Texas and brags
- 20:06Speaker 5: about some of the things he does. in Texas to
- 20:10Speaker 5: circumvent the laws we have. But it's the long-term goal
- 20:14Speaker 5: to profoundly change our society in another way.
- 20:16Speaker 4: And he says Muslim.
- 20:18Speaker 5: It makes me think a lot about the things going
- 20:20Speaker 5: on in Minnesota, in Minneapolis, and the fraud there, and
- 20:24Speaker 5: the group of people that kind of hate the United
- 20:27Speaker 5: States and don't feel bad about stealing money from the
- 20:30Speaker 5: United States at all, to the tunes of millions of dollars. Like,
- 20:33Speaker 5: this is something we actually legitimately deserve to be afraid of.
- 20:37Speaker 5: And there are politicians who placate these individuals, these radical
- 20:41Speaker 5: people that want to profoundly change our country. One of
- 20:44Speaker 5: those politicians is James Tallarico. And there's politicians who are
- 20:47Speaker 5: at the forefront of fighting this, like Ken Paxton. If
- 20:51Speaker 5: you want, this is sort of ridiculous for me to say,
- 20:54Speaker 5: but I'm saying it on the show. If you want
- 20:57Speaker 5: this state and this country to continue having laws that
- 21:00Speaker 5: we create and not laws that are forced on us
- 21:03Speaker 5: in certain places with the defense that it's, It's religious law.
- 21:09Speaker 5: It's based on religion. You've got to be nice to
- 21:12Speaker 5: these people. Essentially, being weak on these topics would have
- 21:16Speaker 5: a profoundly bad impact on our society. You do not
- 21:20Speaker 5: want people who will be weak on these topics. You
- 21:22Speaker 5: do not want people who will be intimidated by the
- 21:25Speaker 5: radical members of their base who would demand they do
- 21:28Speaker 5: certain things for a certain reason. And honestly, whenever I
- 21:31Speaker 5: even hear anybody defend a discussion— about a topic like
- 21:36Speaker 5: this they usually say there's nothing to see here like
- 21:39Speaker 5: it's not even defending the idea that there's a lot
- 21:42Speaker 5: of of of core differences in how our society functions
- 21:47Speaker 5: and how societies that are run by by you know
- 21:50Speaker 5: islam or or sharia law would function like they they
- 21:54Speaker 5: don't go as far as to say.
- 21:56Speaker 4: We'd be fine if they took over because.
- 21:58Speaker 5: That would be insane they usually say there's nothing to
- 22:01Speaker 5: see here like there's no reason for us to ever
- 22:03Speaker 5: be concerned or worried about if you're listening to the
- 22:05Speaker 5: voices of people that apparently are influential on that part
- 22:11Speaker 5: of the world or that part of our society, the
- 22:13Speaker 5: people who follow this stuff.
- 22:16Speaker 4: They are 100% saying the opposite.
- 22:18Speaker 5: Not only are they saying that they're doing things that
- 22:20Speaker 5: we're telling them they shouldn't do, and they're proud of
- 22:23Speaker 5: the fact that they're breaking certain laws, even if the
- 22:26Speaker 5: excuses they use are mild.
- 22:28Speaker 4: Who knows what other things they do as well there.
- 22:30Speaker 5: But the other thing they're saying is that they have
- 22:32Speaker 5: every intention— of slowly changing our society to be something
- 22:36Speaker 5: that most of us would resoundingly reject if it happened
- 22:40Speaker 5: all at once.
- 22:41Speaker 4: They want you to slowly give in.
- 22:43Speaker 5: And so these are the moments, these are the topics
- 22:46Speaker 5: where I think the most value exists in never bending
- 22:49Speaker 5: a knee at all, in never being anything other than
- 22:53Speaker 5: tough on this discussion, because these are the moments where
- 22:57Speaker 5: people are counting on you, they're hoping that you slowly
- 23:01Speaker 5: give up or slowly give in. This actually matters to me,
- 23:04Speaker 5: I guess, is what I'm trying to say. And a
- 23:06Speaker 5: big reason I think that that video went viral and
- 23:09Speaker 5: people are sharing it and the fact that Yassir Quidia,
- 23:13Speaker 5: I'm not.
- 23:13Speaker 4: Sure if I'm saying his name correctly, but the guy
- 23:16Speaker 4: who's in the video.
- 23:17Speaker 5: The fact that he actually lives here in Texas and
- 23:20Speaker 5: brags about how he acts and what he intends to
- 23:23Speaker 5: do with the right politicians in power and the evil
- 23:26Speaker 5: politicians removed who want to tell him He has to
- 23:30Speaker 5: follow our laws and he can't use his religion to
- 23:33Speaker 5: change whatever he wants about our society.
- 23:36Speaker 4: I think I think there's a big deal here.
- 23:38Speaker 5: And so, again, the reason I'm even bringing this up
- 23:40Speaker 5: or playing this audio is it wasn't intended for this
- 23:44Speaker 5: space for you and I to discuss.
- 23:46Speaker 4: And that's the.
- 23:47Speaker 5: Reason we need to talk about it is because they
- 23:49Speaker 5: don't want us to know what the real plan is
- 23:53Speaker 5: and the real way in which they get some of
- 23:55Speaker 5: their agenda done in getting people like Tallarico in office.

- 24:33Speaker 18: a question for you. When was the last time you
- 24:35Speaker 18: thought about your garage door? Most people never do. The
- 24:38Speaker 18: problem is that your garage door may be the hardest
- 24:40Speaker 18: working appliance in your home. It opens and closes thousands
- 24:43Speaker 18: of times every year, lifting hundreds of pounds each and
- 24:47Speaker 18: every time. You change the oil in your car. You
- 24:50Speaker 18: service your air conditioner. Your garage door deserves the same attention.
- 24:54Speaker 18: A simple tune-up catches worn parts before they fail. A
- 24:57Speaker 18: tune-up keeps everything running quietly and can add years of
- 25:00Speaker 18: life to your system. And that's why preventative maintenance is
- 25:03Speaker 18: one of the smartest investments you can make for your
- 25:06Speaker 18: garage door. Garage doors usually warn you before they break.

- 25:32Speaker 16: What do we really know about James Tallarico? Tallarico said
- 25:36Speaker 16: defending trans Texas is something we have to do every day.
- 25:40Speaker 16: Tallarico supported using taxpayer dollars for sex change surgeries on
- 25:44Speaker 16: young children. Claimed denying your child's gender identity is abusive.
- 25:49Speaker 16: Said the trans community needs abortion care too. And even
- 25:52Speaker 16: called Jesus a radical feminist and said God is non-binary.
- 25:57Speaker 6: Defending trans Texas is something we have to do every day.
- 26:00Speaker 16: But it gets worse. James Tallarico voted to allow biological
- 26:05Speaker 16: men access to women's bathrooms in schools and for biological
- 26:08Speaker 16: boys to play in girls' sports, saying some things are
- 26:12Speaker 16: more important than fair competition in sports.
- 26:16Speaker 6: Defending trans Texas is something we have to do every day.

- 27:06Speaker 21: From the KSEV Weather Center, today will be mostly sunny
- 27:10Speaker 21: and hot, with the temperature reaching the record high from 2023.
- 27:13Speaker 21: There is a chance of a thunderstorm in some areas
- 27:15Speaker 21: this afternoon. Air quality will be unhealthy for sensitive groups,
- 27:18Speaker 21: with a high of 97%. Tonight will be partly cloudy
- 27:21Speaker 21: and humid with a low of 75. Tomorrow is expected
- 27:24Speaker 21: to be partly sunny and hot with the temperature close
- 27:26Speaker 21: to the record high of 98 set in 2023, reaching
- 27:29Speaker 21: a high of 96. With the KACV Weather Center forecast,
- 27:33Speaker 21: I'm AccuWeather meteorologist Joe Lundberg.
- 27:44Speaker 22: KACV, 700 a.m. This is the voice of Texas. My
- 27:51Speaker 22: name is Craig Colonnades. Wayne Del Cefino is on special assignment.
- 27:54Speaker 22: We call ourselves the Mob Guys. I don't know if
- 27:57Speaker 22: Russell has an opinion about this.
- 27:59Speaker 5: He does our sports show for an hour every single
- 28:02Speaker 5: morning before this show from 6 to 7 o'clock called
- 28:05Speaker 5: The Press Box here on KSCV Radio. I guess they
- 28:09Speaker 5: were talking recently from a story I saw the Board
- 28:12Speaker 5: of Governors of the NHL about expansion into Houston or Austin, Texas.
- 28:17Speaker 4: That's the NHL.
- 28:18Speaker 5: Do we want I would love a hockey team here
- 28:22Speaker 5: in Houston specifically. I'm a fan of the sport. Do
- 28:26Speaker 5: we think Houston cares? Do we think they want an
- 28:29Speaker 5: NHL team here?
- 28:32Speaker 14: That's a good question. I really don't know.
- 28:33Speaker 4: Do you care?
- 28:34Speaker 14: I would care.
- 28:35Speaker 4: I would love that.
- 28:37Speaker 14: I would love that.
- 28:37Speaker 4: Yeah, me too. It would be awesome.
- 28:39Speaker 5: And Houston is an obvious city for the NHL. They're
- 28:41Speaker 5: going to expand more places, and the expansions have gone well. Vegas,
- 28:46Speaker 5: for example, not only has been a talented hockey team,
- 28:49Speaker 5: but I think they have pretty good attendance records.
- 28:51Speaker 4: So, you know, getting an NHL team here, what do
- 28:54Speaker 4: we have? We don't have anything, right?
- 28:56Speaker 18: No.
- 28:56Speaker 14: Okay.
- 28:57Speaker 4: We don't have any even, like, did we before?
- 28:59Speaker 14: We did. We did. Some minor league kind of stuff.
- 29:03Speaker 14: The Houston Arrows.
- 29:04Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 29:04Speaker 5: I go to a Burger King that has an old
- 29:06Speaker 5: logo from the Arrows on the wall still, and I'm like,
- 29:09Speaker 5: what is that?
- 29:09Speaker 4: And they've explained it to me. It'd be nice, though, man.
- 29:12Speaker 5: I guess Austin is, as I said, the other option
- 29:14Speaker 5: in Texas and other cities are being contemplated. But this
- 29:17Speaker 5: is the first time that the board of governors of
- 29:20Speaker 5: the NHL have met to discuss this topic for a while.
- 29:23Speaker 5: And there are some very rich people that would like
- 29:26Speaker 5: to see an NHL team come to Houston. I'd like
- 29:30Speaker 5: to see that happen. I wonder how many people out
- 29:32Speaker 5: there care, though. Like, genuinely, I guess I'm asking that question.
- 29:35Speaker 5: If you want to call in on that topic, you
- 29:37Speaker 5: could tell me, too, if that's something you think Houstoners
- 29:40Speaker 5: is missing.
- 29:40Speaker 4: Because we have everything else, man.
- 29:43Speaker 5: We have everything else you want from a major city,
- 29:45Speaker 5: a top five city in the country. We just don't
- 29:48Speaker 5: have the NHL team. And I am a fan of
- 29:50Speaker 5: hockey much more than a fan of soccer. Even though
- 29:52Speaker 5: I tried during the World Cup to get into it,
- 29:55Speaker 5: it didn't happen. As it did for a little bit,
- 29:57Speaker 5: it was more of an American spirit than anything else.
- 30:00Speaker 5: The sport's just not as fun. Hockey's better for sports
- 30:03Speaker 5: where they don't score a whole lot. And, of course,
- 30:06Speaker 5: football will still dominate. Basketball will still dominate. The Astros, I.
- 30:12Speaker 4: Think, are still going to make the play. Who knows?
- 30:14Speaker 4: I don't know if it's going to be the Rangers
- 30:15Speaker 4: or the Astros and what's going on.
- 30:16Speaker 5: I know that I'm upset that my Yankees might not
- 30:20Speaker 5: do so well in the wild card round because they're
- 30:21Speaker 5: not going to have Aaron Judge.
- 30:23Speaker 4: And they got beat by the Rays one of two
- 30:25Speaker 4: games yesterday. I don't know. I just find it interesting.
- 30:29Speaker 5: The NHL team addition to the sports landscape in Texas
- 30:35Speaker 5: would be nice.
- 30:35Speaker 4: It'd be nice to have it. But all right, let's
- 30:37Speaker 4: move on.
- 30:38Speaker 5: And I actually saw Russell get close to his mic
- 30:40Speaker 5: because I think he wanted to talk about the Astros.
- 30:42Speaker 4: I think when I mentioned the Astros.
- 30:44Speaker 14: I was waiting to see what you had to say
- 30:45Speaker 14: about the Astros and where they're going.
- 30:46Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 30:47Speaker 14: We don't know. I mean, there's five games to go.
- 30:49Speaker 14: They're tied. They have the tiebreaker, so they control their
- 30:51Speaker 14: own destiny.
- 30:51Speaker 16: They do.
- 30:52Speaker 4: And you think they're going to make.
- 30:54Speaker 11: It or no?
- 30:55Speaker 14: I think they're going to squeak this out. Yes, I do.
- 30:57Speaker 4: Do you think they're going to do well in the playoffs?
- 30:58Speaker 16: No.
- 31:00Speaker 14: No, no.
- 31:01Speaker 5: That would be a first-round exit, a wild-card round exit,
- 31:04Speaker 5: in your opinion. But getting there matters. It does, except
- 31:08Speaker 5: as a Yankee fan, it doesn't. I don't really care.
- 31:11Speaker 4: I don't know. I don't think they'll go.
- 31:12Speaker 19: I don't know about a first-round exit. I mean, they
- 31:14Speaker 19: would be the three seed because they'd win the division.
- 31:16Speaker 4: Yeah, they would win the division.
- 31:17Speaker 14: That means they'd get either the Guardians or the White Sox.
- 31:20Speaker 4: Right. That's not a tough person.
- 31:22Speaker 19: I think they could take that series, best of three.
- 31:24Speaker 19: But after that, the divisional round, probably not.
- 31:28Speaker 2: Okay.
- 31:28Speaker 5: And Jordan Alvarez called, like, an all-team meeting at some
- 31:31Speaker 5: point recently.
- 31:33Speaker 19: I guess after they got swept by— Atlanta over the weekend,
- 31:36Speaker 19: and then they had their first game last night, and
- 31:37Speaker 19: he had a big night.
- 31:38Speaker 2: Okay.
- 31:39Speaker 4: Well, and he's going to win the MVP, I think,
- 31:40Speaker 4: which I'm upset about.
- 31:41Speaker 14: Probably so.
- 31:42Speaker 5: I know this isn't a sports show, but just very quickly,
- 31:44Speaker 5: I think that Cam Schlittler has a shot at the MVP.
- 31:48Speaker 5: He will win the Cy Young, but the young pitcher
- 31:50Speaker 5: for the New York Yankees has been one of the
- 31:52Speaker 5: most valuable players in all of baseball this year, and
- 31:56Speaker 5: yet he probably will lose the MVP award to Jordan
- 31:59Speaker 5: Alvarez because he's had a really great year on a
- 32:03Speaker 5: team that's going to squeak into the playoffs this much
- 32:05Speaker 5: like my Yankees.
- 32:06Speaker 4: All right, I will move on.
- 32:07Speaker 5: I don't mean to talk about that so much, but
- 32:08Speaker 5: I do think Cam not only deserves the Cy Young.
- 32:10Speaker 4: I know that's a surprise from a Yankee guy.
- 32:13Speaker 5: I think he should be one of very few pitchers
- 32:15Speaker 5: that ever win the actual MVP award. But again, I
- 32:19Speaker 5: am curious, to get back to the main point, if
- 32:22Speaker 5: people care at all about an NHL hockey team here
- 32:26Speaker 5: in Houston, because I really want that.
- 32:29Speaker 4: I would be very much pro.
- 32:30Speaker 5: And the other thing that's nice, I'll throw, I can't
- 32:32Speaker 5: stop talking about it. One other thing I'll throw out
- 32:34Speaker 5: about it is the way that the NHL expands, like
- 32:36Speaker 5: the thing that they do to allow the new teams
- 32:39Speaker 5: to get valuable players quickly is broken. It's a broken system.
- 32:43Speaker 5: It helped the Vegas teams and other teams too much.
- 32:46Speaker 5: It made them too good too quickly. They won Stanley
- 32:49Speaker 5: Cups they shouldn't have won by having better teams that
- 32:52Speaker 5: they shouldn't have had. So if Houston got an NHL
- 32:55Speaker 5: hockey team, they'd probably be good. I'm not saying for
- 32:59Speaker 5: sure they would, but they'd probably be good if And
- 33:01Speaker 5: that makes it even more exciting. All right, I'm going
- 33:04Speaker 5: to transition back to politics. Caroline Leavitt explained how fake
- 33:07Speaker 5: news really works. She was on Sean Hannity's show, the
- 33:11Speaker 5: show after he does television. I think he calls it Hangout.
- 33:14Speaker 5: And I thought this was actually really interesting audio. Caroline Leavitt,
- 33:17Speaker 5: of course, is the recently exited press secretary that did
- 33:22Speaker 5: an amazing job, I think, to a lot of conservatives.
- 33:25Speaker 4: Probably liberals hated her a lot.
- 33:27Speaker 5: But she talks about the endless stream of lies and
- 33:30Speaker 5: the endless stream of narrative building and then pretending that
- 33:34Speaker 5: that narrative has been propped up by an anonymous source,
- 33:37Speaker 5: et cetera, et cetera. And I think more people need
- 33:39Speaker 5: to hear and think about this, because even though I
- 33:43Speaker 5: don't agree that you need to ban a couple groups from, say,
- 33:48Speaker 5: the White House and covering the White House, like CNN
- 33:51Speaker 5: and whatnot, have been banned, even though I don't agree
- 33:52Speaker 5: with that, in principle, I like the idea of all
- 33:56Speaker 5: of our, and I'm going to use air quotes you
- 33:57Speaker 5: can't see, press having access to, you know, our leadership.
- 34:03Speaker 5: They've shown before again and again and again, they're completely
- 34:07Speaker 5: different from what press was supposed to be. Like they're
- 34:11Speaker 5: so ridiculously biased and so, you know, hell bent on
- 34:15Speaker 5: making sure that any discussion is negative that involves the
- 34:18Speaker 5: current president, that they don't have the value they should have.
- 34:22Speaker 4: In the first place. But anyway, here's Caroline Levitt talking
- 34:24Speaker 4: about this.
- 34:25Speaker 23: They believe they are arbiters of the truth and doing
- 34:29Speaker 23: the country a great service, but they are clearly slanted
- 34:34Speaker 23: and biased against the president.
- 34:36Speaker 17: I've seen it so many times where this is how
- 34:40Speaker 17: fake news is manufactured for the audience to understand. You'll
- 34:44Speaker 17: have a hack journalist who comes up with a narrative
- 34:47Speaker 17: on their own that they think is true about the
- 34:49Speaker 17: president or the White House. And they love the palace
- 34:51Speaker 17: intrigue stories. This person's fighting with that person in this.
- 34:54Speaker 17: That's like 90 percent of my job was batting down
- 34:57Speaker 17: fake stuff.
- 34:59Speaker 9: Right.
- 35:00Speaker 17: And they'll go find a source who has every day,
- 35:02Speaker 17: by the way, every day, all day from 6 a.m.
- 35:05Speaker 17: till midnight. And they'll find a source who has no
- 35:09Speaker 17: idea what they're talking about, was not in the room,
- 35:11Speaker 17: doesn't even work at the White House, maybe worked on
- 35:14Speaker 17: the campaign as like a volunteer staffer for one day.
- 35:17Speaker 17: And they'll say a source close to President Trump told
- 35:19Speaker 17: us this. Like, who's your source? Because I was in
- 35:21Speaker 17: the room. So I'm a better source than them. And
- 35:23Speaker 17: I'm telling you, this did not happen.
- 35:25Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 35:25Speaker 5: And very often they don't happen. And you've heard a
- 35:27Speaker 5: lot of other people talk about this. But it's interesting
- 35:29Speaker 5: to hear the former White House press secretary do it.
- 35:32Speaker 5: And they have these people on speed dial, the fake
- 35:35Speaker 5: news organizations, like they know who their source is, especially
- 35:39Speaker 5: in the bureaucratic parts of our government where people are
- 35:42Speaker 5: long running, say, left leaning, left leaning people. that were
- 35:46Speaker 5: never elected to any office at all, that hold some
- 35:48Speaker 5: kind of stupid position that can say, that can, excuse me,
- 35:52Speaker 5: allow news media to say that we talked to someone
- 35:55Speaker 5: close to the president, someone whose role is, you know,
- 35:59Speaker 5: as close as we can get.
- 36:00Speaker 4: And then they push their narrative further that way.
- 36:03Speaker 5: And it's such a ridiculous system that eventually you're batting
- 36:07Speaker 5: down these narratives where people pretend that something is true
- 36:10Speaker 5: that isn't true. And by the way, the other thing
- 36:13Speaker 5: I really like about what Caroline Levitt said there Is
- 36:16Speaker 5: she she mentions how much desire media has to tell
- 36:22Speaker 5: the soap opera story, whatever it is, the television soap
- 36:27Speaker 5: opera show, a version of it like this person's fighting
- 36:30Speaker 5: with this person or these two people don't get along
- 36:32Speaker 5: when they're in the same room and the stupidity of
- 36:35Speaker 5: that and the desire for that to be something that
- 36:37Speaker 5: truly just divides us and convinces people on the other
- 36:40Speaker 5: side that, wait a minute, are these people getting along?
- 36:44Speaker 4: Yes or no.
- 36:45Speaker 5: And I'll say one last thing about this too, actually,
- 36:48Speaker 5: the simple concept of it. The president of the United
- 36:51Speaker 5: States will not be running for a third term, even
- 36:54Speaker 5: if he jokes about it. So President Trump, as far
- 36:57Speaker 5: as politically powerful, maybe not, I shouldn't say he'll be
- 37:02Speaker 5: any less politically relevant. I think that after Trump's next
- 37:05Speaker 5: two years are done, if he does an interview somewhere,
- 37:09Speaker 5: people will pay attention to listen to him as a
- 37:12Speaker 5: twice elected, maybe three times elected former president.
- 37:15Speaker 4: But the amount of power he'll wield will change.
- 37:18Speaker 5: It won't be like the Democratic Party, where they'll try
- 37:20Speaker 5: to get a husk of a person in and then
- 37:22Speaker 5: have Obama really run the play calling from behind the scenes.
- 37:27Speaker 5: When you have robot Biden in office, they won't do that.
- 37:31Speaker 5: And so I think the next couple of years, and
- 37:33Speaker 5: I've actually talked about this before on other shows I
- 37:35Speaker 5: did on this station, we will see a lot of
- 37:37Speaker 5: people separate from Trump, not even because they think they
- 37:41Speaker 5: have to, but because the value of of that individual
- 37:44Speaker 5: will change and the power of that individual will change.
- 37:47Speaker 5: And there are people who will want to take their
- 37:50Speaker 5: own shot. And I don't know if that'll hurt or
- 37:53Speaker 5: help politicians in the conservative party, because Trump is still
- 37:57Speaker 5: very popular and very well liked with the core base
- 38:01Speaker 5: of people who vote on that side of the aisle,
- 38:03Speaker 5: regardless of what the left or even people in the
- 38:05Speaker 5: middle want to claim. Trump is resoundingly popular still with
- 38:09Speaker 5: most actual Republicans. most people who actually call themselves conservatives.
- 38:14Speaker 5: But I believe that we'll see a transition and some
- 38:18Speaker 5: people more willingly, say, crapping on or separating themselves in
- 38:23Speaker 5: certain ways from President Trump because they think it's in
- 38:26Speaker 5: their political best interest and his time in office is limited.
- 38:30Speaker 4: But what that'll be and how that'll go, who knows?
- 38:32Speaker 5: And whether or not that means people will fight or
- 38:34Speaker 5: not fight to stand up to some of the false
- 38:37Speaker 5: narratives that make you believe there's more turmoil.
- 38:40Speaker 4: We'll also see.
- 38:41Speaker 5: But I guess just to wrap this back into a
- 38:43Speaker 5: thought about Texas real quick before we take our last
- 38:46Speaker 5: break and then we come back and we close out
- 38:48Speaker 5: the show. One of the big reasons, and I'll keep
- 38:52Speaker 5: saying this now on this radio show, that you want
- 38:54Speaker 5: to elect the Ken Paxton in office is to give
- 38:57Speaker 5: President Trump and the Trump administration two more years to
- 39:02Speaker 5: do anything that they still want to do that they
- 39:05Speaker 5: haven't done yet.
- 39:06Speaker 4: And there's a lot, I'm assuming, that they'll say is there.
- 39:09Speaker 5: And some of those things were blocked by people like Cornyn,
- 39:11Speaker 5: like the Save America Act that gets us voter ID
- 39:15Speaker 5: throughout the totality of this country as a federal law.
- 39:19Speaker 5: Doing things that demonstrate what people actually want, that one
- 39:23Speaker 5: wildly popular, hasn't been done yet, even though Republicans hold
- 39:28Speaker 5: power in the House and in the Senate, if they
- 39:30Speaker 5: lose power, that's over.
- 39:31Speaker 4: That's never happening.
- 39:32Speaker 5: If they retain power and have people more likely to
- 39:35Speaker 5: support those types of tough topics, because the last thing
- 39:39Speaker 5: I'll say about this is some of those individuals who
- 39:42Speaker 5: stand against it, like Cornyn, they think it benefits them
- 39:45Speaker 5: and their likelihood of getting reelected.
- 39:48Speaker 4: And they no longer care that Trump can't get.
- 39:49Speaker 5: Reelected anymore, that they don't need to stand with him anymore,
- 39:53Speaker 5: that they can stand against him because it's more about
- 39:55Speaker 5: them than about what Trump or what maybe Americans would
- 39:59Speaker 5: like to see done. So I find that really interesting
- 40:02Speaker 5: that you really want people that are going to stand
- 40:04Speaker 5: with you on the tough topics the last two years
- 40:07Speaker 5: of your second term because that's the most important time
- 40:11Speaker 5: to have people like that.
- 40:13Speaker 4: And if you want things to get done.
- 40:15Speaker 5: in the ways that they've been getting done so far,
- 40:17Speaker 5: fighting fraud, you know, keeping the border closed. The list
- 40:20Speaker 5: goes on and on. If you like some of those things,
- 40:24Speaker 5: you cannot allow the other side to take a hold
- 40:26Speaker 5: of this thing, because then it'll get crazier, and these
- 40:29Speaker 5: fake reports that Caroline Leavitt are talking about will get
- 40:32Speaker 5: more and more extreme.
- 40:34Speaker 4: Quick break.
- 40:35Speaker 5: Our last segment coming up for the morning show today,

- 42:33Speaker 11: Hi, this is Michael Miller. Join me this weekend for
- 42:36Speaker 11: the Backyard Bay radio program. Now at our new time,
- 42:40Speaker 11: Saturday mornings at 9 a.m. right here on AM 700
- 42:44Speaker 11: KSEV The Voice.
- 42:58Speaker 5: This is KSEV Mornings on The Voice of Texas. My
- 43:03Speaker 5: name is Craig Colonnades. Wayne Dolcefino is on special assignment
- 43:06Speaker 5: until Friday. We will be at the Texas Faith Festival
- 43:10Speaker 5: in Austin, Texas on Friday.
- 43:12Speaker 4: I look forward to going to that.
- 43:14Speaker 5: I'm intrigued as to if there will still be any
- 43:17Speaker 5: sort of like rioting or protesting, whatever you want to
- 43:21Speaker 5: call it, going on in Austin after the things that
- 43:25Speaker 5: happened over the weekend involving ICE.
- 43:27Speaker 4: I talked about it earlier in the show. I'll mention
- 43:29Speaker 4: it again.
- 43:29Speaker 5: There is a video out there that definitively proves that
- 43:32Speaker 5: the ICE agents who were in pursuit in Austin were
- 43:35Speaker 5: using their sirens and their lights and everything. So you
- 43:41Speaker 5: knew that they were police officers. You can't claim that
- 43:44Speaker 5: you didn't know that these unmarked vehicles chasing you were
- 43:47Speaker 5: just crazy people. You can't do that anymore because the
- 43:51Speaker 5: video has now defended that. And honestly, I'll just say
- 43:54Speaker 5: this because I intend to do silly stuff before we
- 43:56Speaker 5: get out of here because I like to do silly
- 43:58Speaker 5: stuff on the radio. I don't like to just talk
- 44:00Speaker 5: about serious things. But I will tell you that, in
- 44:04Speaker 5: my opinion, the reason we need body-worn cameras on all
- 44:08Speaker 5: ICE agents is when these moments happen, the video usually
- 44:12Speaker 5: sets them free, essentially meaning it disproves that they did
- 44:16Speaker 5: something wrong. That video should be helpful, not hurtful, more
- 44:20Speaker 5: often than not. At least that's my belief, and it
- 44:22Speaker 5: has seemed to be true, at least in this story
- 44:25Speaker 5: in Austin.
- 44:26Speaker 6: All right.
- 44:26Speaker 5: A couple quick things before we get out of here.
- 44:29Speaker 5: that I thought were interesting. We'll call these quick four-ish topics.
- 44:33Speaker 5: A dude went viral because I guess he found out
- 44:37Speaker 5: that his delivery driver for a DoorDash order had gone
- 44:41Speaker 5: in a small car accident. Like, no one was hurt,
- 44:43Speaker 5: but the guy who was delivering his food didn't make
- 44:46Speaker 5: it all the way to his house because of the accident,
- 44:49Speaker 5: and he was stopped on the side of the road,
- 44:50Speaker 5: and police were on their way, and all that stuff
- 44:52Speaker 5: was going on. And so this guy, whose delivery driver,
- 44:56Speaker 5: I guess, communicated with him, like, hey... I'm not going
- 44:58Speaker 5: to make it. This is where I am. The guy
- 45:01Speaker 5: got in his car, drove to the accident, and picked
- 45:03Speaker 5: up his food. And I find that hilarious. And I
- 45:06Speaker 5: believe I have some audio about this story.
- 45:08Speaker 4: Let's play this first.
- 45:09Speaker 19: I door dashed some food, and my door dasher told
- 45:12Speaker 19: me he got.
- 45:13Speaker 14: In a car accident.
- 45:16Speaker 24: And he was like, I can come meet him and get.
- 45:19Speaker 6: The food from him.
- 45:20Speaker 14: That's my food right there.
- 45:23Speaker 24: Uh-huh.
- 45:23Speaker 2: I'm about to go get my food.
- 45:24Speaker 14: What's going on, bro? You the door dasher?
- 45:27Speaker 16: Hey, dude.
- 45:27Speaker 5: Hey, dude.
- 45:28Speaker 14: You all right?
- 45:28Speaker 4: Sorry about the car accident.
- 45:30Speaker 14: Thank you, man. You good? Yeah, I'm right down the street.
- 45:34Speaker 14: I'm like, let me come grab my food.
- 45:36Speaker 11: I'm so sorry, bro.
- 45:37Speaker 14: You got an accident.
- 45:39Speaker 11: Bringing me my food.
- 45:40Speaker 4: Okay, this is hilarious. And he says all the right things,
- 45:42Speaker 4: by the way.
- 45:42Speaker 5: The guy who shows up at the car accident to
- 45:44Speaker 5: pick up the food from the dude who didn't make
- 45:46Speaker 5: it to his house because he got in the crash.
- 45:48Speaker 5: He says, like, you okay? Is everything fine? Still a
- 45:51Speaker 5: lot of people have opinions as to whether or not
- 45:53Speaker 5: this is.
- 45:53Speaker 4: A bad look.
- 45:54Speaker 5: For you to go to the guy's—now, granted, the DoorDash
- 45:57Speaker 5: delivery driver, I will say this, gets to complete the
- 46:00Speaker 5: order by getting it to the person. So they get paid,
- 46:04Speaker 5: I imagine, for the delivery, where if they didn't complete
- 46:07Speaker 5: the order, they probably don't get paid. So the guy benefited,
- 46:10Speaker 5: the delivery driver, from the other person being willing.
- 46:14Speaker 4: To go there.
- 46:14Speaker 5: But that's got to be an odd moment to walk up,
- 46:17Speaker 5: and you can hear it in the audio, to walk
- 46:19Speaker 5: up to the crash and be like, can I still
- 46:21Speaker 5: get my food? I'd still rather eat right now. I
- 46:24Speaker 5: just thought that was funny that that went viral. Also,
- 46:27Speaker 5: this story went viral.
- 46:29Speaker 4: A woman in Long Island who.
- 46:30Speaker 5: Was celebrating her 47th birthday fell in a random sinkhole
- 46:35Speaker 5: in her backyard.
- 46:36Speaker 4: She fell like eight feet. I think she's going to
- 46:38Speaker 4: be OK. She was screaming.
- 46:40Speaker 5: A neighbor's eventually called 911 and got her out. This
- 46:43Speaker 5: is a unique amount of bad luck, though. You're in
- 46:45Speaker 5: your backyard. You're celebrating your birthday. And you're the person
- 46:49Speaker 5: that falls into a random sinkhole. I never say this genuinely.
- 46:53Speaker 5: I always say this is a joke, but there are
- 46:56Speaker 5: moments that feel like acts of God where maybe God's
- 46:59Speaker 5: not happy with you.
- 47:00Speaker 4: Like maybe something's going on.
- 47:02Speaker 5: Maybe Danielle has to reassess something in her life because
- 47:06Speaker 5: the uniqueness of your birthday, your backyard, sinkhole that only
- 47:11Speaker 5: swallows you up, feels like it could be a sign.
- 47:14Speaker 5: To me, I also see sign when I hear this.
- 47:17Speaker 5: I think I have some audio for this one too.
- 47:18Speaker 23: Just like walking, the ground just went and I was.
- 47:22Speaker 2: In a hole.
- 47:23Speaker 21: Help!
- 47:23Speaker 16: Help!
- 47:25Speaker 4: Yeah, it's not good. It's not good.
- 47:27Speaker 2: So I thought that first.
- 47:28Speaker 24: It's my birthday.
- 47:29Speaker 16: This might be my death date. Couldn't breathe.
- 47:32Speaker 4: That's scary.
- 47:32Speaker 16: I was gasping and scared and crying.
- 47:34Speaker 17: Oh my gosh, she fell on the ground.
- 47:39Speaker 4: You fell on the ground.
- 47:40Speaker 20: Firemen, cops, special unit cops, ambulance, EMTs, they were wonderful.
- 47:45Speaker 2: They all sung happy birthday to me.
- 47:47Speaker 16: It was great.
- 47:47Speaker 4: Aw, that's nice.
- 47:48Speaker 5: At the end, while they're pulling you out of the
- 47:49Speaker 5: sinkhole to sing happy birthday to you. But here's why
- 47:51Speaker 5: I find this so funny. Again, it's like the situation,
- 47:55Speaker 5: all the pieces together. You don't just fall in a
- 47:57Speaker 5: random sinkhole in your backyard, which happens to very few
- 48:01Speaker 5: of us. I don't know anybody that this has happened to,
- 48:03Speaker 5: but it also happens to be your birthday. Like, there's
- 48:05Speaker 5: a certain set, series of events... where I will say
- 48:09Speaker 5: I don't for sure know that someone is trying to
- 48:12Speaker 5: send you a message to maybe change something in your life.
- 48:15Speaker 5: And Danielle sounds like a lovely person. There's no reason
- 48:18Speaker 5: for me to think that she's done anything bad. But
- 48:20Speaker 5: I know that all of these pieces together make me
- 48:23Speaker 5: think it could be possible that this was the moment
- 48:25Speaker 5: where the sign was being sent to you. I also
- 48:27Speaker 5: thought this was interesting. As far as other sillier stuff goes,
- 48:32Speaker 5: Ella Langley has now had the longest running number one
- 48:36Speaker 5: song ever. I think, in the history of U.S. charts
- 48:39Speaker 5: for Choose in Texas. You've probably heard this song multiple
- 48:43Speaker 5: times on the radio or your streaming service if you
- 48:46Speaker 5: listen to one while driving around. You should listen to
- 48:49Speaker 5: the radio and KSEV radio all the time. And we
- 48:52Speaker 5: have an app. We have all the stuff. We're on
- 48:54Speaker 5: iTunes or TuneIn. I think we're on iHeart, or at
- 48:57Speaker 5: least we'll be on iHeart very soon as well. But nonetheless,
- 49:01Speaker 5: if you're not, if you're going to listen to music,
- 49:02Speaker 5: I guess Choose in Texas has been out there a lot.
- 49:04Speaker 5: And Ella recently reacted to the fact What?
- 49:09Speaker 16: Thank you so much.
- 49:10Speaker 24: Thank you for loving this song, for listening to it.
- 49:13Speaker 24: I just don't even know what to say at this point.
- 49:15Speaker 24: It's changing my life. It's changing lives of the writers
- 49:18Speaker 24: of this song it's changing lives of my family and
- 49:22Speaker 24: it is truly growing an atmosphere for something i'm going
- 49:26Speaker 24: to be able to do the rest of my life
- 49:28Speaker 24: and i'm going to go out and celebrate tonight and
- 49:30Speaker 24: i'm really excited to experience a moment like this in
- 49:34Speaker 24: my life i don't know how to say it just
- 49:36Speaker 24: thank you so much and choosing tea wow That's the one.
- 49:41Speaker 5: Choosing T, choosing Texas. I think Texas is the reason why.
- 49:44Speaker 5: I think it's easy. And I'll tell you this, after
- 49:48Speaker 5: living here now for over a year, the people that
- 49:51Speaker 5: live here really care about Texas.
- 49:52Speaker 4: The Texas flag is everywhere.
- 49:54Speaker 5: I can't believe we don't have one in this studio.
- 49:57Speaker 5: I'm looking across from me and I see two American flags.
- 50:01Speaker 5: I think we need a Texas flag. I don't know
- 50:03Speaker 5: what we're doing there by not having a dangling.
- 50:05Speaker 4: One in the studio itself.
- 50:08Speaker 5: But nonetheless, like, I think Texans just like to hear Texas.
- 50:11Speaker 5: And so I think there's a lot of Texans that
- 50:13Speaker 5: probably like this song because not only does it say
- 50:16Speaker 5: the name of the state, but it also says that
- 50:18Speaker 5: you're choosing it. Granted, in the song itself, she's writing
- 50:21Speaker 5: about how a dude is choosing between two women and
- 50:24Speaker 5: choosing the one that lives in Texas instead of the
- 50:26Speaker 5: one that lives in Tennessee. So it's not necessarily about
- 50:29Speaker 5: our state and how great it is. But I think
- 50:32Speaker 5: that subliminal message is there enough that that's part of
- 50:34Speaker 5: the reason it's successful. But I also just really enjoyed
- 50:37Speaker 5: this and thought this was funny. that this is now
- 50:39Speaker 5: one of the longest-running songs on the top of the
- 50:43Speaker 5: charts in the United States. Like the Beatles and people
- 50:47Speaker 5: that used to have these records back in the day.
- 50:49Speaker 4: I think Michael Jackson probably had some of these records
- 50:51Speaker 4: for a while.
- 50:52Speaker 5: A lot of those guys probably don't feel so great about, well,
- 50:55Speaker 5: none of them really feel much of anything. A couple
- 50:57Speaker 5: of them can still. Most of them don't feel anything anymore.
- 51:00Speaker 5: But nonetheless, probably don't feel great that they were beaten
- 51:02Speaker 5: by Choose in Texas.
- 51:04Speaker 4: But I like it.
- 51:05Speaker 5: I actually, I don't even really listen to a lot
- 51:07Speaker 5: of music like that. And I like that song.
- 51:09Speaker 4: And you know what? I'll end on this thought, which
- 51:12Speaker 4: is not another one of my silly topics.
- 51:13Speaker 5: It's just a thought I've had because my wife and
- 51:16Speaker 5: I moved to Texas now. I think we're getting close
- 51:19Speaker 5: on two years that we've been living in the state,
- 51:22Speaker 5: which is crazy how quickly time goes. But I don't
- 51:25Speaker 5: know what happens to people in this state and the
- 51:28Speaker 5: desire to listen to more country music.
- 51:31Speaker 4: I don't know what it is.
- 51:32Speaker 5: I've never been a country music fan. I've never listened
- 51:34Speaker 5: to much country music. My wife now owns a truck.
- 51:38Speaker 5: And so occasionally, while we're driving around, country just happens more.
- 51:43Speaker 5: You just hear more country music. Is that a requirement?
- 51:47Speaker 5: Do the Texans force that on us? Have I been
- 51:50Speaker 5: myself like brainwashed a little bit, especially like George Strait
- 51:54Speaker 5: or something? Just a little bit more of that classical
- 51:56Speaker 5: country music squeaks into my rotation.
- 51:59Speaker 4: And I don't I don't know why. I don't know
- 52:01Speaker 4: what it is.
- 52:02Speaker 5: The blend of this state and that type of stuff.
- 52:06Speaker 5: But there's more and more of it. My wife seems
- 52:08Speaker 5: to be shocked at the amount of country songs that
- 52:10Speaker 5: I know all the words to, especially Garth Brooks' country
- 52:13Speaker 5: songs that I know a lot of words to.
- 52:15Speaker 4: It's just something I didn't expect to happen.
- 52:18Speaker 5: But now living in Texas and planning to live here
- 52:20Speaker 5: the rest of our lives, it seems to be another
- 52:23Speaker 5: thing that just occurs. But way to go, Ella, and
- 52:26Speaker 5: way to go, the song Choose in Texas, which again
- 52:29Speaker 5: is probably successful because of our state.
- 52:31Speaker 4: I'm just giving credit to us.
- 52:33Speaker 5: All right, that's it. That's the whole show. Thrilled to
- 52:35Speaker 5: be with you, as always, on KSEV in the morning.
- 52:38Speaker 5: Thrilled to have Wayne back on.
- 52:41Speaker 14: Friday.
- 52:42Speaker 5: And we're thrilled we're going to the Texas Faith Festival
- 52:46Speaker 5: in Austin, Texas, and we'll be broadcasting live from there
- 52:48Speaker 5: Friday as well.
- 52:49Speaker 4: Talk to you tomorrow on KSEV, 700 a.m.
