Marte Demoted, Banfield Called Up | Cincinnati Reds News
Reds send Noelvi Marte back to Triple-A after a struggling month at the plate, but this isn’t his first demotion — they’re clearly pushing him to make adjustments. In return, they bring up catcher Will Banfield, who’s been crushing it in the minors with 11 homers and major league experience. It’s a bold move: reset Marte’s swing down below while giving Banfield a shot to shine up top. Baseball’s all about tweaking, and this roster shuffle could be just what both players need to turn things around.
