- 0:00You have arrived. Welcome to the Aspy world.
- 0:04Here's where we talk about anything and everything ASD in
- 0:07an upbeat and informative way. And now here's your man on the
- 0:11spectrum, your autism ambassador, Daniel Morgan Jones.
- 0:19Heads can explode watching Joseph Park level.
- 0:22We're also watching Philippi on an iPhone and this thing is
- 0:24doing. I put a post about like how, you
- 0:37know, parenting was being an autistic parent for kids is
- 0:42difficult, right? And it has its kind of like has
- 0:45its moments at the time. So I realized that like I should
- 0:47just vlog it, right? Like why not?
- 0:49So today is let me have a look at those glasses.
- 0:56Here comes one of them. So today is Saturday.
- 0:58Hey baby. And and this means that I have
- 1:02my kids in my house because they're with their mum on every
- 1:05other day and then I have them on Saturday.
- 1:08We go home tomorrow. So I've got them, but this is
- 1:11much really interesting. I also have a dog.
- 1:13So I'm trying to like juggle the dog and the baby.
- 1:17And there's also a what is all more tornado.
- 1:19What's it called? Storm.
- 1:23And so that's like a tornado. It's kind of like a tornado.
- 1:27Yeah, but check this out. Right.
- 1:29So we've got stuff on the TV, but look, check it out.
- 1:32It has ripped a fence apart. It's taken one of my sheds and
- 1:37then taken the door of this one. And this, we think this fence
- 1:40might pull over Rosario. Kind of a bit crazy.
- 1:45Anyway. Oh, that's the update over so
- 1:48far. And we're just kind of hanging
- 1:49out out with you, babe. Yeah, we're just trying to see
- 1:52what we're going to do. Are they NHS pajamas?
- 1:56No, shine bright. Look, look at these pajamas.
- 1:59It says shine bright, shine, shine bright.
- 2:05Whoop, whoop, whoop, shine star. Oh, and then, yeah, he's decided
- 2:08to play with that. So anyway, the, the difficult
- 2:10pies, I'm actually really sick as well.
- 2:12So I have like a chest infection.
- 2:13I've always come from probably gone from the kids and oh, by
- 2:17the way it goes. I haven't, I have suspected bad
- 2:19ADHD. There's no way of ever going to
- 2:21decorate a tree, so I let the kids decorate it.
- 2:25Yeah. I mean, it does look a little
- 2:27bit like a crackdown, but I assure you my house is nice and
- 2:30tidy. But yes, that's The thing is
- 2:31like staying on top of, like, tidying things because I have to
- 2:34have, I can't have cluttering mess everywhere.
- 2:36So keeping the kids apart. What is that?
- 2:38Oh, the bottle opener. Yes.
- 2:40Because that's like, oh, careful.
- 2:43Hey, it's OK. Look at the doggy.
- 2:44Just want to make sure he doesn't get.
- 2:46Yeah, Yeah. Nice and gentle.
- 2:51Nice and gentle. Yeah.
- 2:55So it's that and juggling, trying to get food ready, trying
- 2:57to keep the house tidy once the kids are here.
- 2:59And I know it's hard, right? It's constant noise.
- 3:02Like the baby, they want to play games, they want to the
- 3:04television and like, so I might have to wear my headphones, but
- 3:08I don't want to because, like, I feel like that kind of like,
- 3:10weeds them out. But anyway, what?
- 3:14Yeah, I'm trying not to show their faces because I don't
- 3:17know. I don't do something anyway
- 3:19regards to that. I can be challenging.
- 3:21Anyway, I'll update you in a bit once we're once we're a bit
- 3:24more. I don't know what we've got to
- 3:25do next. We've got dinner time in 20
- 3:28minutes and then it's bath and bedtime.
- 3:31Here's a classic example of how my head's going to explode
- 3:33watching Joseph Park 11 and also watching Lippy on an iPad and
- 3:37this thing is going, somebody else is sick.
- 3:47We just have big words. So one of the things I find
- 3:53really difficult with is that like getting these down for bed
- 3:55and bath time always really difficult.
- 3:57So excuse me, bye bye. So I have to kind of have extra
- 4:02help. Look, look, look at this.
- 4:04So I have some extra help to my parents come over to help.
- 4:07So right now I'm going to put I've got this vegan pizza, which
- 4:11the little guy loves. And so I'm going to put a vegan
- 4:14pizza in. So I'll have some of that with
- 4:16him. And then my eldest, there's such
- 4:20food that he will hardly eat anything.
- 4:24I'm getting really sick and worse and worse again.
- 4:27Oh, I'm not feeling good. Yeah.
- 4:29And I can't go to get any medicine because I have to go to
- 4:32the emergency room. That means I have to take both
- 4:33boys to me. And that's not a place for kids.
- 4:35And no way am I taking them there.
- 4:37Guys, hear that? Silence.
- 4:40Boys are eating. And oh, left my kitchen window
- 4:44open. Great.
- 4:45Boys are eating, I've noticed the Michael Bublé's Christmas
- 4:48album worth cooking. It's all quiet.
- 4:56Look at this. My thing that I dislike most is
- 5:01that I just like things to be in their place over time.
- 5:03I don't like a mess on the clutter.
- 5:04Don't like disorderliness, kid. OK guys, both boys are in bed.
- 5:12I've got a cup of tea because I'm British and I drink tea to
- 5:17chill me out before bed. I feel like garbage guys.
- 5:20Like honestly, my youngest took forever to put down.
- 5:23Like you just wouldn't go to sleep.
- 5:25And then me and my eldest stayed up for a little bit.
- 5:28Anyway, I'm in bed, little boys on camera.
- 5:31I'm going to watch some stuff on my iPad, some training videos
- 5:37about how social media messenger apps, because my brain is always
- 5:44kind of like active, right? And, and I'm doing stuff like,
- 5:48you know, like that is not my field of special interest.
- 5:52And I get really like a lack of dopamine, like dopamine like so
- 5:58like, you know, certain kids aren't doing a bath and bedtime
- 6:01and food and stuff like that really doesn't do anything
- 6:03dopamine wise. But watching training videos on
- 6:08how to use social media apps is dopamine fulfilling.
- 6:12So I need a bit dopamine to fall asleep and also drinking
- 6:15caffeinated tea before bed really helps, especially for
- 6:17ADHD people, right? Oh I don't if you know, I had a
- 6:19tattoo there of the infinite symbol for autism.
- 6:22Anyway, that means said my mum came up with helping with the
- 6:25boys because I just need a little bit of help, you know,
- 6:27executive function wise, like tidying up and getting my stuff
- 6:31cleaned and, and dealing with the boys, especially when
- 6:33there's like a lot of noise, you know, it's, it's so difficult.
- 6:36So a big salute for all the parents out there who can kick
- 6:37ass. Hey guys, thank you so much for
