- 0:16SPEAKER_01: What?
- 0:17SPEAKER_01: What is going on, big ballers?
- 0:21SPEAKER_01: It's your boy MJ coming at you with yet another episode of the Fancy Football Sports Minds.
- 0:27SPEAKER_01: And if you see my screen shaking, it's because I'm so excited because I'm here with my co-host Joe the Birdman.
- 0:34SPEAKER_01: Joe, how are you doing today, brother?
- 0:36SPEAKER_00: Well, your screen finally isn't shaking.
- 0:38SPEAKER_00: It's usually shaking when you're getting amped up, but it looks like you secured that web again.
- 0:42SPEAKER_00: So good job.
- 0:44SPEAKER_01: Thanks.
- 0:45SPEAKER_00: Um doing well though.
- 0:47SPEAKER_00: Uh a lot going on.
- 0:48SPEAKER_00: Got some buys coming up, a lot of injuries, as always.
- 0:53SPEAKER_00: So a few things that we got to get into, but first, a quick word from our sponsor.
- 0:59SPEAKER_01: Hey there.
- 0:59SPEAKER_01: My name is Manny James Gonzalez with PRB, and I'm a real estate agent here in Central Florida.
- 1:05SPEAKER_01: I'm a U.S.
- 1:05SPEAKER_01: Navy veteran, military relocation pro, and big supporter of 2A and veterans' rights.
- 1:11SPEAKER_01: My specialty is VA transactions, muscle experience in all parts of business.
- 1:20SPEAKER_01: I've been living in Florida for over 20 years, and I can tell you we still believe in freedom that I'm here.
- 1:25SPEAKER_01: One of the greatest gender markets, excellent economy, and no state income tax.
- 1:30SPEAKER_01: When it comes to the major, you want one that's gonna be honest, not afraid of a fight, and most importantly, willing to do the things that some majors are willing to do.
- 1:39SPEAKER_01: And what's that, Manny?
- 1:41SPEAKER_01: Two straight bands.
- 1:47SPEAKER_01: If you ever consider mining central Florida, you need somebody you can trust, and I got your six.
- 1:52SPEAKER_01: I'm Manny James and Zale, find land for the free and home for the brave.
- 2:14SPEAKER_00: As many of you probably saw, Tyreek Hill suffered a brutal knee injury and is likely out for the rest of the season.
- 2:24SPEAKER_00: And of course, just as sad, Malik Neighbors was placed on IR and will be out for the season.
- 2:31SPEAKER_00: Uh quarterback Lamar Jackson is likely to miss week five with a hamstring injury, and it could be a few weeks, a few more weeks after that.
- 2:41SPEAKER_00: Running back Braylon Allen, who looked really good up until this point where he got a knee injury and is likely to be on our IR as well.
- 2:51SPEAKER_00: And Cleveland Browns wide receiver, Cedric Tillman, also a hamstring, is going to be placed on IR.
- 2:59SPEAKER_00: And some recent news that I'm not exactly sure if this is anything to be concerned with, but Trey Benson, he didn't participate in practice, could just be a rest day.
- 3:09SPEAKER_00: Um, but the coach said he's day-to-day, and that's what stood out to me.
- 3:13SPEAKER_00: I was like, what the hell does day to day mean if you're not going to put an injury down?
- 3:17SPEAKER_00: And then just also something to keep in mind the 49ers, just like last year, they're really banged up.
- 3:22SPEAKER_00: Brock Purdy, Ricky Pearsall, and Juwan Jennings, they're all still banged up.
- 3:26SPEAKER_00: They played last week, but they were struggling.
- 3:28SPEAKER_00: And uh, of course, we know that Brandon Ayuk has yet to return as well.
- 3:32SPEAKER_00: So keep an eye on all those guys going into this week.
- 3:37SPEAKER_01: Now it's time for the best part of the show.
- 3:41SPEAKER_01: Trade targets.
- 3:49SPEAKER_01: All right, welcome back, ballers.
- 3:52SPEAKER_01: Now, this segment is called Trade Targets.
- 3:57SPEAKER_01: And today, my trade target is gonna be somebody that you probably, you know, you're gonna have to pay full price on, and it's gonna be worth every single red cent.
- 4:06SPEAKER_01: Uh, that's gonna be Mr.
- 4:07SPEAKER_01: James Cook for the Buffalo Bills.
- 4:10SPEAKER_01: You know, this season coming in, I was pretty big like everyone else on Josh Allen.
- 4:14SPEAKER_01: But one thing I noticed about the uh Bills, they're gonna kind of play what the defense gives them instead of trying to force it, which is gonna end up being better football for Buffalo.
- 4:23SPEAKER_01: But from a fantasy standpoint, I think the one consistent thing that's gonna happen is James Cook is gonna get his touches because right now, just four games in.
- 4:32SPEAKER_01: He's already at 75 touches.
- 4:34SPEAKER_01: Uh, he has 400 yards and five touchdowns.
- 4:37SPEAKER_01: So that's just rushing yards, not including receiving.
- 4:40SPEAKER_01: So he's been on a tear, and if you watch him in the games, he's almost like moving faster than everybody else on the field.
- 4:48SPEAKER_01: Like everyone else is in slow motion, he's just kind of like running through the scrimmage line.
- 4:52SPEAKER_01: So uh I'm definitely pretty excited for him.
- 4:56SPEAKER_01: But like I said, you're gonna have to pay full price, but it's worth it.
- 5:00SPEAKER_00: Man, he looks like an absolute machine, he's just unstoppable.
- 5:04SPEAKER_00: I know you and I were higher on him than most people going into the season, but I don't think anyone expected this.
- 5:10SPEAKER_00: We were both talking about touchdown regression because you know, two years ago he scored like what five touchdowns, six touchdowns, or something.
- 5:18SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and then we said, Oh, he's gonna score a lot more, and sure enough, he did.
- 5:21SPEAKER_00: And then this year we're like, Oh, I don't think he's gonna be able to do that again.
- 5:24SPEAKER_00: No, I think he is gonna do that again, and then some.
- 5:27SPEAKER_00: And you're right, it is better football, so I get it.
- 5:30SPEAKER_00: But having Josh Allen on like three teams, it's a little disappointing.
- 5:33SPEAKER_00: But hey, I got James Cook on one team too, so we're all good.
- 5:37SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah, you are gonna pay full price for him, but yeah, it's worth every red cent, like you said.
- 5:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah, now I'm gonna talk about a running back, too, uh, by the name of Derrick Henry.
- 5:49SPEAKER_00: I think it's a great time to grab Derrick Henry from a disappointed manager.
- 5:54SPEAKER_00: Uh Justice Hill had a monster game against Kansas City, but 71 of his 76 rushing yards came off of one carry.
- 6:03SPEAKER_00: You know, he had three carries, and that was one of them for 71 yards.
- 6:07SPEAKER_00: And I mean, the whoever has Derrick Henry is probably gonna know that.
- 6:11SPEAKER_00: I'm sure they were watching the game.
- 6:13SPEAKER_00: So focus on what Justice Hill is doing as a pass catcher, as your selling point.
- 6:21SPEAKER_00: You know, just go over his targets because I I think this is a a notable stat that you should bring up.
- 6:27SPEAKER_00: If you look at his targets and yardage over the first four weeks, this is for Justice Hill.
- 6:32SPEAKER_00: Week one, he had two targets and one catch for three yards.
- 6:36SPEAKER_00: Week two, he had three targets and three catches for 18 yards.
- 6:39SPEAKER_00: And then week three, he had four targets and three catches for 45 yards, and then took another step in week four.
- 6:45SPEAKER_00: He had six targets, five catches for 41 yards and a touchdown.
- 6:50SPEAKER_00: And again, week four, he also had 76 rushing yards and a touchdown.
- 6:54SPEAKER_00: He had two touchdowns.
- 6:56SPEAKER_00: So if you want to just mention that and just say, hey, I'm just going over Justice Hill's stats.
- 7:01SPEAKER_00: Now let's take a look at Derrick Henry over the last three weeks.
- 7:05SPEAKER_00: Because week one, he had a monster week.
- 7:07SPEAKER_00: So don't bring that up.
- 7:08SPEAKER_00: But week two, he had 11 rushes for 23 yards.
- 7:12SPEAKER_00: Ugh.
- 7:13SPEAKER_00: Week three, he had 12 rushes for 50 yards.
- 7:15SPEAKER_00: Oof.
- 7:17SPEAKER_00: And then week four, he had eight rushes for 52 yards.
- 7:20SPEAKER_00: So just bring that up and then you know, mention the fact that hey, he's not even involved as a pass catcher, he's 31 years old.
- 7:29SPEAKER_00: And here's the thing although Justice Hill is gonna remain involved in the offense, this is Derrick Henry's backfield.
- 7:35SPEAKER_00: The last three weeks have been disappointing, but he played Cleveland, Detroit, and Kansas City.
- 7:41SPEAKER_00: Those are tough matchups.
- 7:43SPEAKER_00: And if Lamar misses time, the Ravens are gonna lean on Henry even more.
- 7:48SPEAKER_00: So he's clearly, even if let's say Lamar is 100% healthy, Derrick Henry's gonna bounce back in a huge way.
- 7:56SPEAKER_00: I'm not worried about him at all.
- 7:58SPEAKER_00: And Justice Hill had one good game.
- 8:00SPEAKER_00: Okay, who cares?
- 8:01SPEAKER_00: All you do is talk about his stats over the first four weeks to say, hey man, looks like they're shifting towards Justice Hill.
- 8:07SPEAKER_00: Why don't you give me uh Derrick Henry?
- 8:09SPEAKER_00: You know, we can make something, we'll give you a two for one, it'll be a good deal.
- 8:13SPEAKER_00: And then Henry, I guarantee you, is gonna go off the rest of the season.
- 8:17SPEAKER_00: So I think you should target him now because his price tag is not gonna get lower than it is right now.
- 8:23SPEAKER_01: Joe, that's a great point.
- 8:25SPEAKER_01: I um something I you know didn't think of is you're right, just still has been seeing production, but it's possible to have two solid running backs on one fantasy team, right?
- 8:36SPEAKER_01: Like uh, and uh, you know, and that's something I was talking to some guys in our league here, you know, when they were talking about Derrick Henry being uh stacked boxes, he's been playing stacked boxes his whole career.
- 8:48SPEAKER_01: Like, this is nothing new when he's on the Titans.
- 8:51SPEAKER_01: Who was the threat, right?
- 8:53SPEAKER_01: Vince Young, get get out of here.
- 8:55SPEAKER_01: Nobody, everybody's been stacking the box, and he still looked like uh, I mean, he's not the Derrick Henry we've seen in his prime, but let me tell you, he's still on the back end of his prime.
- 9:04SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah, he's not far off.
- 9:06SPEAKER_01: He's he's so he's he's slowing down a little bit, but not to the point where you can write him off.
- 9:12SPEAKER_01: And with no Lamar Jackson, he a hundred percent is gonna go off.
- 9:15SPEAKER_01: So you're right.
- 9:16SPEAKER_01: After the after this week, everybody's gonna buy high on him again.
- 9:19SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so try to get him if you can, but good luck.
- 9:22SPEAKER_00: You know, he's also gonna have a despite the last three weeks, he's gonna have a uh high price tag as well.
- 9:29SPEAKER_00: You uh you got anyone else you're gonna target?
- 9:32SPEAKER_01: Uh yeah, definitely.
- 9:33SPEAKER_01: Um, I really like well, I already targeted him last week and I got him in both leagues.
- 9:40SPEAKER_01: Both my fantasy leagues, but RJ Harvey, somebody that was pretty big on, you know, like just as a late, late piece, late bloomer.
- 9:48SPEAKER_01: Um, and sometimes you got guys that are gonna take a while to integrate in that offense.
- 9:52SPEAKER_01: But when you saw him on Monday night playing in Denver, uh, I mean, that kid looks special.
- 9:58SPEAKER_01: Like, I mean, he there, I think he was the quickest guy on the field.
- 10:02SPEAKER_01: And yeah, he's like 5'9, 5'10.
- 10:05SPEAKER_01: He's not the biggest guy, but man, like you're gonna if you don't look at him in that moment, he's gone.
- 10:11SPEAKER_01: That's how fast he is.
- 10:13SPEAKER_01: So I'm pretty happy with him.
- 10:15SPEAKER_01: He's somebody that you can target, and his his matchups only gonna get better because his last few weeks, uh, fantasy playoffs, so uh weeks 14, 15, 16, and 17.
- 10:25SPEAKER_01: So 14 is Las Vegas, terrible defense.
- 10:28SPEAKER_01: Week 15, uh Green Bay, solid, good defense, right?
- 10:33SPEAKER_01: Then week 16 is Jacksonville, so that's gonna be your semifinals, and then the championship, of course, uh is gonna be against Kansas City.
- 10:41SPEAKER_01: Now, obviously, somebody like that, you're like Kansas City, they're gonna do great uh or at shutting down the run, and they always do.
- 10:48SPEAKER_01: Um, but one thing that you know does produce here in fantasy is that that scat back, right?
- 10:55SPEAKER_01: That pass catching back that kind of moves here.
- 10:58SPEAKER_01: And uh everyone talks about Joker for you know Sean Payton, right?
- 11:03SPEAKER_01: Like back in his New Orleans days, it was uh uh Jimmy uh was that uh tight end Jimmy Graham.
- 11:10SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so they had Jimmy Graham, and I think that RJ Harry's that guy, they're gonna move him behind the line of scrimmage, take take carries, but then they're gonna probably move him out in a slot more, set him out wide, put him in motion, and he's gonna be a guy that's just really gonna blow up the second half of the season.
- 11:26SPEAKER_01: So right now, I think it's a good price to pay for him, and it's not gonna be that expensive.
- 11:31SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I think that's a great call, too.
- 11:32SPEAKER_00: And I I we've we've been pretty high on Denver.
- 11:35SPEAKER_00: I think everyone, the consensus was pretty high on Denver as an offense this year.
- 11:39SPEAKER_00: And you know, all around, they're a great team, but I feel like they're heating up, and all the running backs that we've been disappointed in, they really seem to come together in week four, and we kind of knew that they weren't just gonna hit the ground running.
- 11:52SPEAKER_00: We we all assumed that it's gonna take a minute to heat up, but it looks like all the guys we've been keeping our eye on are heating up, and he's definitely one of them.
- 12:00SPEAKER_00: I have him in a few leagues, and I didn't start him in any of those leagues last week, but I'm probably gonna start him in week five.
- 12:07SPEAKER_00: Now, another player I'm kind of targeting, well, just in one league, but if you're in need of a tight end, I think you should look into Kyle Pitts.
- 12:18SPEAKER_00: Whether we want to accept it or not, he's a top 10 tight end right now.
- 12:21SPEAKER_00: He's averaging six targets and 11.6 fantasy points per game.
- 12:26SPEAKER_00: And the chances are that right now he's sitting on someone's bench as a backup.
- 12:32SPEAKER_00: So the Falcons are on a bye this week.
- 12:34SPEAKER_00: If you need a tight end and you can afford to keep Pitts on your bench for the bye week, this is a good time to pick him up because he's probably been sitting on someone's bench for the first month of the season.
- 12:46SPEAKER_00: Maybe, maybe they did play him this week because he's been pretty consistent.
- 12:50SPEAKER_00: All four weeks, he's looked pretty good.
- 12:52SPEAKER_00: Um but if it's a bye week and they're one and three or they're two and two, and they have another tight end, this is the time to strike.
- 13:01SPEAKER_00: So if you need a tight end, yeah, it's it's not like a guy that you're confident in because of his history, but he's had four weeks in a row that for a tight end, they're completely fine.
- 13:13SPEAKER_00: So I would start him.
- 13:14SPEAKER_00: I grabbed him off my brother, my brother, I suckered him into uh running back, and um, he's in need, he's one and three.
- 13:21SPEAKER_00: So I got Kyle Pitts on my team now, and there's another league where I'm trying to get him as well because he kind of looks like the guy we saw from his rookie year, and I'm gonna take my chance at the tight end position.
- 13:33SPEAKER_01: You know, and uh we don't do this a lot, but um I do disagree with just valuing tight ends in general, like the your top it's like we've been talking in the last few years, like tight ends, you know, tight end one, two, and three, you're gonna be between 15 and 20 points a game.
- 13:51SPEAKER_01: Everything after that, you're looking at 10 to 12.
- 13:54SPEAKER_01: And unfortunately, just uh, you know, I I took the same approach when I drafted.
- 13:59SPEAKER_01: I got a tight end rounds 10, 11, and 12.
- 14:02SPEAKER_01: And guess who was there?
- 14:03SPEAKER_01: Number, you know, round 10 was uh Ferguson, 11 was uh um uh Dalton KK and 12 was uh uh Zach Ertz, right?
- 14:14SPEAKER_01: So you were able to get like these top quality tight ends pretty consistently in the draft.
- 14:19SPEAKER_01: So when it comes to like the team, if I'm not trading, I would not value them more than a flex play, right?
- 14:25SPEAKER_01: Find somebody that needs a position.
- 14:27SPEAKER_01: If you have uh a steady surplus of running backs and they got a wide receiver score, that's great, perfect, then make that play, right?
- 14:36SPEAKER_01: Uh oh yeah, but don't overvalue the tight end position.
- 14:40SPEAKER_00: Oh, not at all.
- 14:41SPEAKER_00: I'm just saying if you're in need, because like you said, like I have Ertz in three leagues, and he's been fine.
- 14:46SPEAKER_00: I'm totally cool starting him, and and this is someone that wasn't really on anyone's radar coming in, but you and I, we know how Ertz plays, he's a solid guy every week.
- 14:56SPEAKER_00: That's it's nothing crazy, but it's consistent.
- 15:00SPEAKER_00: And I actually feel like that's what Kyle Pitts is doing is nothing crazy, it's just consistent.
- 15:05SPEAKER_00: So at a position where right now you're hoping for five or six points if you don't have a starting tight end, then I'm saying, yeah, a flex spot.
- 15:15SPEAKER_00: If if you're in a double flex league or you're in a three wide receiver league, probably want to be more careful.
- 15:21SPEAKER_00: But if you're just in a in a typical league with one flex spot and two running backs, two wide receivers, yeah.
- 15:27SPEAKER_00: If you got an extra play on your bench and you need a tight end, I'd make a trade for him.
- 15:31SPEAKER_00: If you're just looking for a consistent floor of eight to ten points, like I said, right now he's averaging 11.6.
- 15:37SPEAKER_00: That's pretty good for a tight end.
- 15:39SPEAKER_01: So I'll take that.
- 15:43SPEAKER_00: Now, let's get into our hot matchups.
- 15:50SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna kick things off with my first hot matchup, which is gonna surprise you.
- 15:57SPEAKER_00: Well, maybe it's the Cowboys versus the Jets.
- 16:03SPEAKER_00: The offense looked all right for both of these teams last week, and the defenses absolutely suck.
- 16:09SPEAKER_00: So it's gonna be another week, unfortunately, without CD Lamb.
- 16:13SPEAKER_00: But the Cowboys' offense was still pumping last week.
- 16:16SPEAKER_00: Javante Williams had another amazing game, finishing with 23 touches and 100 offensive yards.
- 16:22SPEAKER_00: He's averaging 19 fantasy points per game and over 20 touches per game.
- 16:27SPEAKER_00: I mean, no one saw that coming.
- 16:30SPEAKER_00: Uh, George Pickens has been solid this year, and again, CD's out now.
- 16:34SPEAKER_00: So I I always prefer, as we've discussed many times, to have two high-level wide receivers on the field.
- 16:41SPEAKER_00: But George Pickens looked really good last game.
- 16:44SPEAKER_00: He's also averaging 19 points a game, stepped up in a huge way last week, finishing with eight catches for 134 yards and two touchdowns.
- 16:52SPEAKER_00: Obviously, we can't expect that again.
- 16:55SPEAKER_00: But if if we can get 100 yards in a touchdown, oh man, I'll take that every week.
- 16:59SPEAKER_00: As we just discussed when we were talking about tight ends, Jake Ferguson, he's the number one tight end in fantasy right now.
- 17:04SPEAKER_00: We both got him late on a couple teams.
- 17:07SPEAKER_00: And uh Dak, he's been inconsistent as always, but he stepped up last week, and I think he could easily do it again against the Jets, who are an absolute joke on defense.
- 17:20SPEAKER_00: And it didn't it feel like every single drive you're just waiting for something to happen.
- 17:25SPEAKER_00: They had like over 100 yards and penalties, and they looked really confused out there.
- 17:29SPEAKER_00: So I think Dak will just be throwing all over them.
- 17:33SPEAKER_00: And uh if you look at what the Jets did last week, they were running all over Miami.
- 17:39SPEAKER_00: And Brees finished with 20 touches and over 100 yards, just Justin Fields finished with over 80 rushing yards and over 300 total yards and two touchdowns.
- 17:49SPEAKER_00: And Garrett Wilson's actually a top five wide receiver right now in fantasy.
- 17:53SPEAKER_00: He's averaging 9.5 targets per game and 19 fantasy points per game, and even Mason Taylor looked good.
- 18:02SPEAKER_01: Well, hold on before you get too far.
- 18:04SPEAKER_01: Remember when everybody was fading Garrett Wilson?
- 18:07SPEAKER_00: I was one of those people, I was one of them.
- 18:09SPEAKER_01: Were you one of okay?
- 18:10SPEAKER_01: Because I was I've been high on him.
- 18:11SPEAKER_01: I think I know you have.
- 18:13SPEAKER_01: But the experts, like all the experts across the board, they all were fading Garrett Wilson this year.
- 18:18SPEAKER_01: And I was like, if if they have one target for Justin Fields, that guy is it, right?
- 18:22SPEAKER_01: He's the best player on the field.
- 18:23SPEAKER_00: And and the thing is, I what I've always said about him is he's a really solid floor because of the volume, you know.
- 18:30SPEAKER_00: He just gets an obscene amount of volume, so he's a safe floor.
- 18:34SPEAKER_00: I just didn't think his ceiling was gonna be that high, and he's looked awesome.
- 18:39SPEAKER_00: So yeah, I was I was definitely I did not want to draft him on any of my teams just because I didn't think I'd be getting much of a ceiling, but I'm wrong.
- 18:48SPEAKER_01: It's that ballet, bro.
- 18:50SPEAKER_01: He's just to be towing around, dude.
- 18:52SPEAKER_00: He looked so good last week, man.
- 18:54SPEAKER_00: And every week, yeah, he's been just a solid player, even you know, even though the Jets are struggling, um, and some of that's garbage time.
- 19:03SPEAKER_00: He's looked he's looked really good out there.
- 19:05SPEAKER_01: Fuck yeah, man.
- 19:06SPEAKER_00: And and dude, again, like you the these teams, and I just say, like I said, they're on offense, they've got so many weapons, and the defense is the bottom of the barrel.
- 19:16SPEAKER_00: The Cowboys are ranked dead last, they're allowing 420 yards per game, and the Jets, the Jets ranked 22nd, allowing 340 yards per game.
- 19:24SPEAKER_01: Very bad, yeah.
- 19:25SPEAKER_00: So this would actually be pretty fun to watch.
- 19:27SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you know what?
- 19:29SPEAKER_01: What's crazy is I thought the Jets were gonna actually shut down uh shut who were they playing against Miami.
- 19:35SPEAKER_00: I thought Miami.
- 19:36SPEAKER_00: I thought that the game was I thought the Jets were gonna actually come out and look and look really nasty.
- 19:42SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but they didn't, man.
- 19:43SPEAKER_01: They came out slow.
- 19:45SPEAKER_01: Miami won too.
- 19:46SPEAKER_01: So I mean, Josh, you know, Mike McDaniels has his job for another week, you know?
- 19:51SPEAKER_01: And so they they fired him.
- 19:53SPEAKER_00: Congratulations.
- 19:55SPEAKER_00: He's gonna he's gonna have his hands full.
- 19:57SPEAKER_00: They gotta change their entire offense now with Tyreek.
- 20:00SPEAKER_01: So that's crazy.
- 20:02SPEAKER_01: Now for my hat matchup, um, this is you know not really surprising, but uh it's a divisional matchup, right?
- 20:11SPEAKER_01: And we're talking about the AFC East.
- 20:14SPEAKER_01: So it's gonna be Buffalo Bills uh playing at home against the New England Patriots.
- 20:23SPEAKER_01: That's actually something I'm looking forward to.
- 20:25SPEAKER_01: They have, you know, there's not a lot of high, high caliber, high-profile games this weekend, right?
- 20:32SPEAKER_01: Like big teams going up against each other.
- 20:34SPEAKER_01: I think uh as far as those are concerned, the the Patriots have been scoring a lot of points as far as people to pick up on there.
- 20:42SPEAKER_01: I'm not really a big fan of Patriots in general, but one pat I really am high on Trevion Henderson, rookie for the New England Patriots.
- 20:51SPEAKER_01: Like he's he's getting a limited workload, they're easing him in, and he's very productive.
- 20:56SPEAKER_01: Right now, Ramondre does have the lead back role, but it's only a matter of time before he loses it.
- 21:03SPEAKER_01: So I think he's somebody you could also buy cheap on.
- 21:06SPEAKER_00: Um, I think this is the last week for that, yeah.
- 21:09SPEAKER_01: Yeah, because it after this next couple weeks, he's gonna have his breakout game.
- 21:13SPEAKER_00: Like you just said, yeah, they're easing him into that offense, and it's very clear.
- 21:17SPEAKER_00: So, like you just said, like I see that same trajectory where he's gonna take over, and it it could be as soon as next week.
- 21:25SPEAKER_00: So strike strike now if you want him on your team.
- 21:28SPEAKER_01: And and you know, one thing that I um I tell people there's a little bit more of an aspect to like football, right?
- 21:35SPEAKER_01: And fantasy football.
- 21:36SPEAKER_01: So you kind of you kind of look into the personalities or the teams that are of who's managing them.
- 21:42SPEAKER_01: So, for example, the Patriots head coach is Mike Vrabel, right?
- 21:46SPEAKER_01: Former linebacker, we all know he if he has something to say, he's gonna say it, right?
- 21:51SPEAKER_01: He's not afraid to speak his mind.
- 21:53SPEAKER_01: So uh in in in relation to uh how the team goes, if Ramondre Steve.
- 22:00SPEAKER_01: Stevenson continues to fumble, he is losing that job.
- 22:03SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 22:04SPEAKER_01: Him and Antonio Gibson are just getting touches by default because they've been on the team for the last two years.
- 22:10SPEAKER_00: That's how it feels.
- 22:11SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 22:11SPEAKER_01: And then so they're already integrated into offense, right?
- 22:14SPEAKER_01: But this rookie's kind of getting his touches.
- 22:16SPEAKER_01: You know, they're getting him a little bit here, but they're not giving him enough touches since he's a playmaker, you know.
- 22:22SPEAKER_00: So yeah, and I mean, Henderson was the guy last week.
- 22:26SPEAKER_00: You know, he he was the one getting involved most.
- 22:29SPEAKER_00: So expect that to just go the same direction this this week, and then probably even more so.
- 22:35SPEAKER_01: And you know, I'm not even a Pats fan.
- 22:37SPEAKER_01: I haven't even talked about the Bills yet, right?
- 22:40SPEAKER_01: Like so the Buffalo Bills, 4-0.
- 22:43SPEAKER_01: Josh Allen, MVP quarterback, right?
- 22:46SPEAKER_01: He's playing an MVP level game, right?
- 22:48SPEAKER_01: Taking what the key defense gives him.
- 22:50SPEAKER_01: He's not looking to, you know, rush for three touchdowns and probably get his block knocked off, right?
- 22:57SPEAKER_01: He's trying to play a little bit smarter football this year, which I think is finally, finally good news for Buffalo Bills fans.
- 23:04SPEAKER_01: So um they're gonna continue, just light up the scoreboard.
- 23:07SPEAKER_01: James Cook, obviously a trade target.
- 23:10SPEAKER_01: I love this matchup.
- 23:11SPEAKER_01: And it is it's Sunday night at 8.20, so you know it's gonna be fireworks.
- 23:16SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and the thing is, um uh we did mention it before, like I do like what the Bills are doing on offense, and it's a little disappointing that we don't get to see Josh Allen scramble as much as normal.
- 23:29SPEAKER_00: And but we're seeing a lot more James Cook, and that's awesome.
- 23:32SPEAKER_00: It makes sense, and Josh Allen's still putting up awesome numbers, so it doesn't really matter, you know.
- 23:39SPEAKER_01: They're gonna drop a fifty burger on whoever steps up in their crib.
- 23:43SPEAKER_01: So I think they have to play like the Lions, right?
- 23:46SPEAKER_01: Like some teams just play with an edge, like the Eagles almost lost that game against Tampa Bay because they called an aggressive game first half, and then they called it very conservative.
- 23:55SPEAKER_01: We're not meant to be a conservative team, we're meant to go hard like any other team, manage the lead, and then you know, uh give everybody equal rest.
- 24:05SPEAKER_01: So, you know, yeah, uh, we just haven't been playing the best football lately uh on uh defense.
- 24:11SPEAKER_00: And hey, um Dig showed up last week too.
- 24:14SPEAKER_00: So, you know, you and I were pretty high on him.
- 24:18SPEAKER_00: We knew it might take a few weeks for him to get warmed up, but he looked awesome last week too.
- 24:24SPEAKER_00: So he should have another big game against the Bills.
- 24:30SPEAKER_00: Now let's get into our cold calls.
- 24:40SPEAKER_00: For my cold call, I got the Vikings and the Browns.
- 24:48SPEAKER_00: Although there's a few players I like in this game, I feel like their ceiling is gonna be capped by two great defensive units.
- 24:57SPEAKER_00: And the offense for both teams has been inconsistent all around, so I'm not like confident starting anyone this week.
- 25:04SPEAKER_00: Like even though we saw great games from uh Jefferson and even Addison came back, and I expected him to I had expected him to put up like double digits, but he had a great game too.
- 25:16SPEAKER_00: And then Jordan Mason, who's a total tank, you know.
- 25:20SPEAKER_00: I I'm confident that all these guys will have a safe floor, but I'm just saying lower your expectations.
- 25:26SPEAKER_00: So yeah, I'm playing Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, and Jordan Mason.
- 25:30SPEAKER_00: I'm not really thinking too much about it, but I am lowering my expectations because Cleveland Browns are probably the best defense in the league.
- 25:39SPEAKER_00: And for the Browns, I'm playing Quinshawn Judkins, and that's it.
- 25:42SPEAKER_00: And I know you're not as high on him as I am, and you might be right specifically with this game, that's gonna be tough for him, but I think he's gonna get enough volume that he'll be a safe start.
- 25:53SPEAKER_00: But altogether, I think this is gonna be a low-scoring game, it's gonna be a grind, and that's why all of these people, if you look at what their projection is, it's probably pretty accurate.
- 26:04SPEAKER_00: Like, don't expect fireworks.
- 26:05SPEAKER_00: And hey, I could be wrong, the Vikings might come out and just you know, kick the shit out of Cleveland.
- 26:10SPEAKER_00: You never know.
- 26:11SPEAKER_00: But it's just it's just gonna be a tough game for for both teams to produce a lot of yardage.
- 26:19SPEAKER_01: Yeah, no, for sure.
- 26:21SPEAKER_01: Um, I definitely agree with you.
- 26:23SPEAKER_01: There, you know, it's gonna be low scoring because of the fact of how deep how good both defenses are for the teams, you know, and this is gonna be Dylan Gabriel's first start.
- 26:33SPEAKER_01: So the rookie for the Browns, he's going up against the Vikings, you know, defense, which Mike uh, you know, Mike Flores, Brian Flores, excuse me, um, he's coming in with that uh blitz uh zone heavy scheme, right?
- 26:48SPEAKER_01: Like he's gonna send a lot of uh disguised blitz packages, he's gonna run a lot of zone, and and for a rookie to try to go up against that, I mean that's gonna be a tough uphill battle.
- 27:00SPEAKER_01: Um definitely it.
- 27:02SPEAKER_01: And and you know, on the other side, if JJ McCarthy plays right, you know, is he out or is he playing?
- 27:07SPEAKER_00: They uh they're pretty sure he's gonna be out again.
- 27:10SPEAKER_00: So looking at Carson Wentz again.
- 27:13SPEAKER_01: And I'm a Philly fan.
- 27:14SPEAKER_01: I can tell you, man, he looks good for like a couple drives, and then he just fucking makes the most bone-headed plays, and he never goes to the check downs, bro.
- 27:24SPEAKER_01: I hated that about him.
- 27:25SPEAKER_01: Instead of getting wide open running back on the flat, he's trying to throw the freaking double coverage in the end zone every single time, bro.
- 27:34SPEAKER_01: Every once in a while, man, he does it every once in a while.
- 27:37SPEAKER_00: You're like, damn, but yeah, it's been years since it's consistent.
- 27:41SPEAKER_01: 2017, the year we won a Super Bowl, he was on fire, bro.
- 27:44SPEAKER_01: His best year.
- 27:46SPEAKER_00: It's that was a long time ago.
- 27:49SPEAKER_00: But hey, he did all right last week, so maybe he'll do it again.
- 27:52SPEAKER_01: Time flies.
- 27:56SPEAKER_00: What's your cold call?
- 27:58SPEAKER_00: Your cold matchup.
- 27:59SPEAKER_01: All right, my cold call, my cold matchup for the weeks for the week are the tits in the cans.
- 28:05SPEAKER_01: They play together, and uh, whatever the hell the name of the Arizona Stadium is.
- 28:15SPEAKER_00: I've been there a couple of times too.
- 28:18SPEAKER_00: You have, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 28:19SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's not bad on Mr.
- 28:21SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 28:22SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 28:22SPEAKER_01: I I mean, the only thing I like about Arizona is Pat Tillman, man.
- 28:26SPEAKER_01: That's it.
- 28:26SPEAKER_01: I don't like anything else.
- 28:28SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah, Pat Tillman.
- 28:30SPEAKER_01: But those are two teams, man.
- 28:32SPEAKER_01: Like, if you were saying something about Trey Benson being possibly injured, right?
- 28:36SPEAKER_01: Like that could be, you know, that's gonna impact Cardinals' offense because we know Kyler Murray still has trouble.
- 28:42SPEAKER_01: He needs somebody to pick him up on his shoulders so he can see over the line of scrimmage and then pass the ball.
- 28:46SPEAKER_00: He scrambles out there, man.
- 28:48SPEAKER_01: Bro, but he's not like I don't know, man.
- 28:51SPEAKER_00: I know he'll even talk about it.
- 28:53SPEAKER_00: Yeah, he can't see over the lineman sometimes.
- 28:55SPEAKER_01: Bro, Marvin Harrison Jr., right?
- 28:57SPEAKER_01: He has a case of the drops, and then uh obviously with uh you know Trey McBride, right?
- 29:03SPEAKER_01: Like he's gonna see a little bit of a regression because now he's he's getting double teamed, right?
- 29:08SPEAKER_01: So not only does he have either the safety or the slot cornerback on him, now he has a linebacker too.
- 29:13SPEAKER_01: So they're really playing him a lot differently than they did last year.
- 29:17SPEAKER_01: So that that's obviously on a tight end side.
- 29:19SPEAKER_01: Their strong point is their defense.
- 29:22SPEAKER_01: Obviously, on offense, Cam Ward is struggling.
- 29:24SPEAKER_01: That O-line is terrible in Tennessee, right?
- 29:28SPEAKER_01: Uh, you know, Tony Pollard is struggling a little bit.
- 29:31SPEAKER_01: He's still scrapping together a solid flex floor, you know.
- 29:35SPEAKER_01: But uh ultimately these two teams, man, they're just really struggling uh to find their their their flow.
- 29:43SPEAKER_01: So maybe one of them finds it this game or finds it against the other one, but I would temper my expectations because I just uh I don't I would not like having any shares with any players on both these teams, with the exception of Trey McBride.
- 29:58SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I would probably play Harrison too, but um I'd be holding my breath.
- 30:05SPEAKER_01: I traded that fucker.
- 30:07SPEAKER_00: Hey man, he I was I was so happy to see him get a touchdown last week because I know he looked checked out, dude.
- 30:13SPEAKER_00: Remember when I texted the league, I said he looks checked out.
- 30:16SPEAKER_00: He really did, like you could feel the frustration.
- 30:19SPEAKER_00: So I hope he has another big game, and you're wrong, but you could be right.
- 30:24SPEAKER_00: And the thing is, I I I would probably start Harrison.
- 30:28SPEAKER_00: I mean, you you probably don't have a better option if you drafted him, and um Trey McBride, yeah, I would I would definitely start him too, but Pollard maybe as a flex, and you know, Cardinals D is probably a good start.
- 30:42SPEAKER_00: They're on waivers in a bunch of leagues, so you could probably grab them and plug and play.
- 30:46SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's good, good advice, man.
- 30:48SPEAKER_01: Good advice.
- 30:50SPEAKER_00: Uh let's get into our shit calls.
- 30:56SPEAKER_01: Smells like shit in here.
- 30:58SPEAKER_00: Oh, it does.
- 30:59SPEAKER_00: What the?
- 31:00SPEAKER_01: Oh no, it's just me.
- 31:01SPEAKER_01: Never mind.
- 31:03SPEAKER_01: All right, so starting off with shit calls, I'm gonna take it off right here because I wanted to elaborate on something he said earlier, uh, because I was wrong.
- 31:11SPEAKER_01: Um, but Quinchon Junkins, uh Judkins, man.
- 31:15SPEAKER_01: Like he I've been watching him, watching tape on him.
- 31:19SPEAKER_01: I'm like, damn, that guy is really explosive.
- 31:22SPEAKER_01: He's like really good.
- 31:23SPEAKER_01: He reminds me a lot of like uh like a little bit bigger Joe Mixon, you know, with his running style, right?
- 31:29SPEAKER_01: He could catch, he could uh run, he punishes people on the edge, but he's fast enough that you're not he doesn't have to like truck everybody he goes up to.
- 31:38SPEAKER_01: So um that's my shit.
- 31:40SPEAKER_01: Call I didn't think he was gonna be this good, even on a terrible, abysmal, you know, carousel of a soap opera that is uh Cleveland Browns quarterback room.
- 31:51SPEAKER_01: Um, but he he definitely had four receptions last week for 33 yards and then 21 rushes for 82 yards and a touchdown.
- 32:00SPEAKER_01: Like the guy has looked better and better and better every single week.
- 32:04SPEAKER_01: So I'm I'll be the first one to admit I was wrong about him.
- 32:08SPEAKER_01: I mean, he's definitely worth worth it.
- 32:10SPEAKER_00: I think just the sheer volume is gonna be a start every week if if that's the kind of volume he's gonna get.
- 32:17SPEAKER_00: I don't think it was just something that they're I think they're gonna revolve their offense around him.
- 32:23SPEAKER_00: So if he gets 15-20 touches, that should make you pretty confident.
- 32:28SPEAKER_00: And yeah, he got a few uh passes as well, which is great for any running back to get a few targets.
- 32:36SPEAKER_00: Now, my shit call, I thought Kate Otten would be a good plug and play at tight end due to Mike Evans being out and Godwin just getting adjusted to his first week back, but he wasn't, he was completely uninvolved.
- 32:49SPEAKER_00: He only had three catches for nine yards.
- 32:51SPEAKER_00: So if you needed a tight end and you picked him up like I did in one league, you probably lost.
- 32:57SPEAKER_00: Sorry.
- 32:59SPEAKER_01: Bro, speaking of tight end, like that shit is such a freaking butt like a like a bird shot in the sky, right?
- 33:07SPEAKER_01: Like it that shit's like you're hoping to hit because bro, Dalton Kincaid had one reception yesterday, but it happened to be a 26-yard reception for a touchdown.
- 33:17SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so I'm one point PPR leads.
- 33:19SPEAKER_01: That was like eight or nine points.
- 33:22SPEAKER_01: That's all I was like, I was like, dear Lord, thank you, baby Jesus.
- 33:25SPEAKER_01: And I ended up and guess what I won by.
- 33:28SPEAKER_01: I won by seven points, right?
- 33:31SPEAKER_01: So had he not had that one.
- 33:33SPEAKER_01: I I'm just grateful, man.
- 33:34SPEAKER_01: Tight ends even score in general.
- 33:37SPEAKER_00: Oh, I know.
- 33:38SPEAKER_01: That's why I say, hey, you know, uh stay away from them, man.
- 33:42SPEAKER_00: What do you do?
- 33:42SPEAKER_00: You think Darren Wall is gonna be more involved with Tyreek out?
- 33:48SPEAKER_01: Man, I'm not.
- 33:49SPEAKER_01: I I mean, if he's on the wire and you don't have a better option, he's worth picking up a hundred percent, right?
- 33:55SPEAKER_01: But I don't think he's gonna have a consistent he's gonna be boom or bust for you, right?
- 33:59SPEAKER_01: When he's playing, if you know it's a good matchup, he's gonna boom.
- 34:03SPEAKER_01: If it's a tough matchup, he's gonna bust.
- 34:06SPEAKER_01: And and and unfortunately, that's the way the Miami team is.
- 34:09SPEAKER_01: They looked good yesterday, but obviously, you know, they who were they playing against, right?
- 34:13SPEAKER_01: Like the Jets.
- 34:14SPEAKER_01: You know, the Jets haven't looked like on offense, they look solid, but on defense, they're not the same Jets you you thought you would see under Aaron Glenn as head coach.
- 34:23SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah, yeah.
- 34:24SPEAKER_00: We expected a much different defense than what a Detroit type defense, at least, right?
- 34:29SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean, come on.
- 34:30SPEAKER_00: Like the way I was talking about him in week one compared to now is night and day.
- 34:34SPEAKER_01: So well, listen here, ballers.
- 34:43SPEAKER_01: It's the worst time of the day, it's the end of the show.
- 34:46SPEAKER_01: You know, we appreciate you guys tuning in again.
- 34:49SPEAKER_01: Uh, it's been an absolute pleasure uh speaking into your ears very softly and gently and and nursing your fancy football addictions, you bunch of degenerates.
- 35:01SPEAKER_01: So I appreciate all of you, Joe.
- 35:02SPEAKER_01: Did you have any speaking of degenerates?
- 35:05SPEAKER_00: You should see how this guy trades.
- 35:08SPEAKER_01: Oh my god, man.
- 35:09SPEAKER_00: One trade.
- 35:10SPEAKER_00: You gotta trade it.
- 35:12SPEAKER_00: Someone even mentioned changing the trade cap to like 20 because it's set at 15.
- 35:18SPEAKER_00: That's how much these guys are trading.
- 35:20SPEAKER_00: They just trade their whole team, and I'm usually the one doing that, so it's hilarious to see.
- 35:24SPEAKER_01: Hey man, we gotta actively, brother.
- 35:27SPEAKER_01: It's fun.
- 35:27SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah, it's awesome.
- 35:29SPEAKER_01: But at the end of the day, I'm you you know that show I think you should leave, where the guy's like, Are you sure about that?
- 35:35SPEAKER_01: Are you sure about it's the best show ever, bro?
- 35:38SPEAKER_01: What I love is my wife tells me I'm this guy that like I'll have a funny joke and then I'll take it a step too too far, and I'll make it awkward and not funny anymore.
- 35:48SPEAKER_01: And I was like, That's me where fantasy football trades, I'll get that perfect team, and I was like, you know what?
- 35:55SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna downgrade my team for no reason.
- 35:59SPEAKER_00: You just get addicted to the little dopamine high from trading, bro.
- 36:03SPEAKER_01: It's that manic energy, man.
- 36:05SPEAKER_01: It comes to me, bro.
- 36:06SPEAKER_00: No, you start you start analyzing shit that it's like your team's completely fine, but then you'll start looking at everyone else's team, trying to put puzzle pieces together.
- 36:16SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you see like a big computer, like yeah, like a beautiful mind.
- 36:19SPEAKER_00: You're just going off.
- 36:21SPEAKER_00: But your team's good, leave it alone for a week or two, just let it play out.
- 36:26SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna wait till Derrick Henry gets his value.
- 36:28SPEAKER_01: I gotta, I gotta do it.
- 36:29SPEAKER_00: I'm trying to get Derrick Henry.
- 36:30SPEAKER_00: I'm trying to get him for sure.
- 36:32SPEAKER_01: Bro, the next two to three weeks, I'm a feast with Derrick Henry.
- 36:36SPEAKER_01: People are gonna be fucking trying to bang on my door down just to get him, you know.
- 36:41SPEAKER_01: No homo.
- 36:43SPEAKER_00: That's right.
- 36:44SPEAKER_00: Hey man, I I am getting I'm getting after it for sure because if you look at the first three weeks, it was disappointing.
- 36:53SPEAKER_00: But then you look at the defenses he played, completely makes sense.
- 36:57SPEAKER_01: Bro, vaunted defense is like top, top ten, at least top seven in the league, bro.
- 37:03SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 37:04SPEAKER_00: So exactly.
- 37:06SPEAKER_00: So most people aren't looking as closely.
- 37:09SPEAKER_00: Try to get it.
- 37:10SPEAKER_01: All right, but anyways, uh see you here, same time.
- 37:15SPEAKER_01: Say I forgot what I say.
- 37:20SPEAKER_00: See you next week, same time, same channel, something like that.
- 37:24SPEAKER_00: I don't remember either.
- 37:25SPEAKER_00: Same place, okay.
- 37:26SPEAKER_00: Same time, same place.
- 37:26SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I fucked it up.
- 37:27SPEAKER_01: All right, all right, so three.
- 37:30SPEAKER_01: All right, fuckers.
- 37:31SPEAKER_01: It's time to go.
- 37:35SPEAKER_01: Is that what we say?
- 37:37SPEAKER_01: All right, ballers, it's time to go.
- 37:39SPEAKER_01: Listen, I'll see you here next week, same time, same place.
- 37:43SPEAKER_01: Tell your mother, tell your grandmother, tell your sister, Joey Single.
- 37:48SPEAKER_01: Comment, subscribe, Joe Single, Bergman.
- 37:51SPEAKER_00: I am, I am, but uh, I already have a kid, so I'm done.
- 37:56SPEAKER_01: All right, like, comment, subscribe, guys, and see you here again.
- 37:59SPEAKER_01: Have a good rest of your night.
- 38:00SPEAKER_01: Love you guys.
